Florida State Motto

“In God We Trust” was adopted by the Florida legislature as part of the state seal in 1868. This is also the motto of the United States and is a slight variation on Florida’s first state motto, “In God is our Trust.” In 2006, “In God We Trust” was officially designated in state statute as Florida’s motto.

  1. well you always ask for a story soooooo

The neighbor gets a goat (he’s housing it…long story) first the thing escapes and runs all over the neighborhood. Everyone is chasing it as well as animal control and police. Anyway I go over the next day to see it. It’s really cute. Brown and white. It sniffed the dog. Nose to nose. It really wanted to play with my beagle As I’m looking at this thing my thought yet again turns to ‘it looks like a sheep not a goat’. Even from far away. Then there’s the grass loving. And the sound. I call my neighbor… you sure it’s a goat? Get a call 30 minutes later ‘oh my god kea your right it’s a freaking sheep.’ So apparently the owner (not the neighbor housing it) they bought it thinking it’s a goat which is actually a sheep, Yes I figured it out 😎 🐐 vs 🐑

    1. Good morning, Pat! I’m guessing the new “report” flag is something WP has instituted – it’s @ M’s blog, too. Wheezer came in not long after I got up, ate and departed again. It’s 60 here this morning and windy, of course! A “stray thunderstorm” is possible this afternoon; low 80’s predicted today but up to 89 tomorrow and afternoon thunderstorms Sat/Sun! Phew! Slowly dropping thru the 80’s the next few days w/a high predicted of only 57 next Monday! Insane!!!!

      1. Good Morning Filly!

last night while at walmart a band of strong thunderstorms went thru just as we were checking out. the power flickered twice and went out for a second. then when it came back on, the cashier was flustered about finishing ringing us up because the computer had to reset and the manager came over and talked her thru it…lol

but we waited inside for 10 minutes before hubby made a break for the jeep and told me to stay put. it poured all the way home.

Dr. Oz just dropped a bombshell: Russia, China, and Cuba are running Medicaid fraud networks across America — stealing billions from U.S. taxpayers.

This isn’t random grift. It’s targeted exploitation of our system by hostile foreign actors.

The Trump administration is finally cracking down.

    Here’s what we know.

  3. Just The News: “Vice President JD Vance on Wednesday announced that he had warned all 50 states to show they were effectively working to root out fraud in the Medicaid programs or face the loss of federal funding.

“Today, we are sending, across 50 Medicaid programs, letters that will require them to show that they are effectively and aggressively prosecuting Medicaid fraud in their states,” Vance said.

“These letters are the first step. The first effort to try to force these states to get serious about prosecuting fraud,” he said.

He further indicated that the administration did not wish to withhold funding from any state, but that it was prepared to do so. The withholdings would begin with funds for anti-fraud units in the state, but could potentially expand to other parts of the Medicaid program.

Earlier this year, President Donald Trump named Vance as his “fraud czar” to combat misuse of public funds. The appointment and creation of a federal anti-fraud task force followed revelations of mass public welfare fraud in Minneapolis, Minn., linked to the Somali expat community. Vance subsequently led crackdowns against fraudulent hospices in Los Angeles and has worked to curtail other schemes across the nation.

The Wednesday announcement drew cheers and offers of assistance from anti-fraud advocates and state financial officers.

“Today’s announcement is music to the ears of every conservative state financial officer already fighting hard to eradicate fraud throughout the nation,” State Financial Officers Foundation (SFOF) CEO OJ Oleka said in a statement. “Real accountability with real teeth is indispensable for winning the war on fraud, protecting its victims, and getting reluctant states off the fence and into this fight.”

“It is encouraging and empowering to know that Vice President Vance and his task force are looking to the states to be proactive partners. SFOF’s message to the White House is simple: look no further, help is already here,” he added. “Our 41 state financial officers have already exposed billions of dollars in government fraud and are just getting started. They are proud to set the standard for what cooperation in the states should look like as part of a ‘whole of government’ approach. While SFOF leaders can never guarantee that bad actors will stop preying on taxpayer-funded programs, they can and do guarantee that such activity will not be excused in the states they’re entrusted to protect.”

      1. I trust Rubio’s experience over Vance’s lack thereof…..but that issue is still a sticking point. His parents came here in the late 1950’s; he was born in ’71 and they didn’t become citizens until ’75, unfortunately – that would make him a citizen but not a NBC. But there are very few so-called “constitutional scholars” who still recognize those basic facts, unfortunately.

  5. That was weird! Since when does one turkey hen wander off by itself? I thought they always stayed relatively close together but I just saw one of them wandering down my fence line towards the field behind me a few minutes ago. Very strange! I don’t see it out there now.

    Bill Mitchell
    @mitchellvii
PEOPLE MISUNDERSTAND THUNE! – People think that John Thune opposes the SAVE America Act. That’s not true at all.

The only way to pass a SAVE America Act is nuking the filibuster.

John Thune opposes nuking the filibuster because this will give Trump too much power. He, along with his puppet master McConnell, are globalists. They need to slow the AmericaFirst agenda to serve their corporate donors, the multinational corporations.

As long as the filibuster exists, they have an excuse not to pass the Trump agenda. They can blame it on the Democrats. But once that filibuster is gone, it’s all on them.

I believe Thune supports the SAVE America Act but the path to that act, nuking the filibuster, is completely against his globalist agenda.

  7. This is:

J.J. Carrell, who served in the United States Border Patrol for twenty-four years under five presidential administrations,

“Our government is inundated with traitors, and we are also inundated with people who are illegal aliens inside our government.”

Delia Catalina Ramirez, currently serving in the United States Congress representing Illinois’s 3rd congressional district since 2023—a Democrat and a member of the “Squad”—is an illegal alien.

    • Delia Ramirez is an illegal alien

    • Her husband is an illegal alien and a criminal.

All her family members are illegal aliens

J.J. Carrell: “Delia Ramirez is married to a criminal. She’s married to a criminal. Her family members—the majority—are all illegal aliens. I did a cursory search through the Department of Homeland Security. I can’t find her, that she’s a naturalized citizen. She never naturalized. Thus, she’s an illegal alien. This is happening throughout the United States government.”

“Is anyone going to say it out loud?”

“This is happening throughout our government.”

In other words: Her entire voting record is unconstitutional.

“Guys like this idiot in Texas who plowed full speed in to the back of a school bus because he was fucking around on his phone. Thankfully, that kid wasn’t getting on the bus at the time, and evidently only one other kid on the bus was uninjured.

And then ya’ got this moron in California who didn’t as much cause an accident as actually being the accident, having rifled himself full speed (cops estimated he was doing 85mph) into the front of that car waiting to turn. That’s him rolling around on the ground. The bike? Well, that’s hanging from the stoplight above the car. Believe it or not this Jackwagon actually survived…”

  15. Rep. Andy Ogles
    @RepOgles
Excited to announce that my 83-page ASSIMILATION Act has been introduced.

Months of labor were undertaken by my staff, @SenTuberville
and myself in order to GUT the Hart-Celler Act of 1965, as well as scrap provisions of the Immigration Act of the 1990s.

The goal of this bill is simple: end replacement migration and ensure American cultural cohesion.

This bill will end the H-1B scam, ensure migrants NEVER become a public charge, and make America look like America again. FYI, net immigration immediately decreases by 85% under this bill.

    Some other things it does:

    • National Interest Standard
    • Stringent Character Tests
    • Mandatory E-Verify
    • Ends Chain Migration
    • Ends Diversity Lottery
    • GUTS Birthright Citizenship
    • WAY Tougher Asylum Standards
    • Stronger Public Charge Rules
    • 10 Year Citizenship Requirement
    • English & American Civics PROFICIENCY

  16. Another member of Congress has been missing a slew of votes without much explanation.

Rep. Frederica Wilson (D-FL), 83, has not voted in the House of Representatives since April 17, congressional reporter Jamie Dupree of the Regular Order newsletter noted on Wednesday night. Posting on Bluesky, he pointed out that Wilson had missed all 10 House votes on Wednesday and has now missed 43 consecutive votes.
Included in Dupree’s post were images posted on Wilson’s X account on Tuesday, but he noted something was amiss.

“Wilson’s X account this week sent out photos of a Service Academy day – but pictures from the same event were posted last October,” Dupree wrote.

“I was proud to host a Service Academy Day at FIU, bringing together representatives to share guidance with the next generation,” the congresswoman’s post stated, suggesting that the event had taken place that day or at least recently, and not eight months ago.

  17. Just The News: “Border Patrol Chief Michael Banks on Thursday announced his retirement, which took effect the same day. “It’s just time. I feel like I got the ship back on course, from the least secure, disastrous, chaotic border, to the most secure border this country has ever seen,” he told Fox News. “Time to pass the reins…time to enjoy the family and life.” He further indicated that he planned to return to his Texas ranch.

Banks assumed the role of Border Patrol chief in January of 2025 and oversaw much of the second Trump administration’s earlier efforts to deter illegal immigration.

During his tenure, authorities reported a dramatic downturn in illegal border crossings and asylum seekers arriving at the border altogether. He previously served as a special advisor to the governor of Texas on border issues.”

  18. EXCERPT: “The chairman of the powerful House Judiciary Committee is urging the Justice Department to ask federal courts to dismiss with prejudice all prior criminal prosecutions against President Donald Trump, putting a permanent end to a 10-year legal assault by the Obama-Biden era FBI against the man twice elected president by the American people.

“It’s probably time that this all just ended,” Rep. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, said Wednesday night after Just the News reported new documents it obtained revealed the FBI at the end of the Biden presidency secretly took the rare step of preserving evidence from a dismissed January 6 prosecution until 2030, raising alarm the bureau could revive its prosecution after Trump leaves office.

The agents in the controversial Arctic Frost case also wrote a new memo insisting they believed Trump violated laws, creating a fresh roadmap for prosecution after Trump’s presidential immunity from prosecution ends in 2029.

Jordan, who played a crucial role in debunking Russia collusion allegations against Trump and chronicling FBI abuses in the targeting of conservative figures since 2016, reacted to the report by saying Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche should declare “this thing is done, over with. A-B see you later.”

He said DOJ asking the courts to discard all prior prosecutions with prejudice — meaning they couldn’t be re-filed — was “the right approach.”

“When you think about what’s it now been over 10 years? I mean, remember this all started when we learned here from your good reporting and other good work, that we’ve learned that the whole thing was a hoax from the beginning when they used the (Steele) dossier that was manufactured and paid for by the Clinton campaign and all that. So, yeah, it’s probably time that this is all just ended,” he said…..”

“Trump and Xi are Working Together”

    Clandestine, May 14, 2026

“I think we are witnessing the dawn of a new world.

Xi speaks highly of Trump and his vision to Make America Great Again, and says that the modernization and rejuvenation of China can be done “hand in hand” with the US, and we can work together to make the world a better place.

What if Trump and Xi agreed it was time to end the hostilities and treat each other as parters instead of adversaries on a collision course for war?

I believe we are witnessing the birth of a new relationship between the USA and China, while the EU/NATO are being squeezed out of the global stage. I think Trump offered China a seat at the table, and in return, they agreed to stand down while Trump completes the “world’s most powerful reset”.

I think Trump and Xi have been working together in some capacity, meaning that WW3 was never a possibility, and Trump has had this situation secure the entire time. China and Russia turned their backs on Iran and turned a blind eye while Trump removes their influence in our hemisphere.

The entire global system is changing, and the nations that the US call their “allies” may be a lot different in the not-so-distant future.”

  21. “The rivalry between the Giants and Dodgers is well-documented. Barry Bonds vs. Eric Gagne. Yaisel Puig vs. Eric Hundley. Juan Marichal vs. Sandy Koufax. From hit-by-pitches, bench clearing and haymakers being thrown, the rivalry between SoCal and NorCal is as heated as it gets.

Yet, the biggest and most consistent fights you’ll find come in the stands — and Tuesday’s showdown between the Dodgers and Giants at Chavez Ravine was no exception.

Captured on video that’s now gone viral, a brawl broke out in the upper section of Dodger Stadium as women exchanged blows in one of the more entertaining fights you’ll see in a stadium.

It’s unclear what started the fight but in the video, three women seated in a row above the others start throwing punches at a woman in the row in front of them. Two others seated on either side of the victim begin to fight back but it wasn’t enough as the women in the row above them rained down punches.”
