Delaware State Tree: American Holly

The American Holly is considered one of the most popular trees in the world. Due to extensive cultivation of the American Holly by nurseryman and gardeners alike, there are currently over 1000 different cultivars, with more being patented every year (Holly Society of America).

The tree is ridiculously tough. The American Holly is widely known as the hardiest broadleaf evergreen. Native specimens found throughout the Appalachian Mountains have been found to withstand temperatures of -10°F, while cultivated varieties have been naturalized in Ohio down to -20°F. The tree is also not picky in terms of soil requirements. American Holly will grow in nearly all soils. This fact is evident given that its native range extends from Massachusetts to Florida to Texas. American Hollies grow on mountain tops, in river valleys, on flood plains, and along coastlines. This range of habitats and conditions means the American Holly does not take great risks in its habit of growth. The tree has a slow to medium growth rate.

The tree also reproduces the “old fashioned way;” male and female flowers are produced on separate plants (dioecious reproduction). A male pollenizer must be nearby in order to produce the beautiful red berries we are all familiar with on female trees.

Throughout history, the appeal of bright red berries and lustrous evergreen leaves drove the popularity of the English Holly. From the Roman and Druid winter solstice traditions to the eventual European Christian traditions, the symbolism and colorful nature of the evergreen holly in the dead of winter was constant. It is little wonder that when the European colonists landed in the New World, they brought their love of holly among their many traditions.

Prior to their arrival, American Holly leaves had been used by Native Americans to make tea to treat cough, and berries had been used to make buttons. But Europeans brought demand for American Holly to a whole new level. They recognized American Holly as an obvious substitute for their English holly (Ilex aquifolium) holiday traditions, and decorative and landscape usage soon exploded. Today the popularity of the American Holly is as strong as ever.

JUST IN: AG Todd Blanche SHOOTS DOWN speculation that this a politically motivated case against James Comey, saying they’ve also charged an individual in the SAME DISTRICT for threatening the life of JOE BIDEN “[Comey’s] alleged conduct is the same kind of conduct that we will never tolerate and that we will always investigate and regularly prosecute”

    https://nitter.poast.org/HansMahncke/status/2049239958209118551#m

This is a brilliant strategic move. By targeting both sides, they’ve effectively neutralized the lawfare narrative before it can even take root, something the Biden team distinctly did not do when they charged Trump over documents but ignored all the documents in Biden’s garage.

    Absolutely fucking sensational.

The thin-as-hell Comey indictment just dropped…deliberately spare on its face, yet engineered with lethal precision as a holding charge.

    Classic prosecutorial leverage:

cuff the target in the system, apply the pressure points, force the flip, and pry open the larger conspiracy.

And the timing is surgical poetry…it lands exactly as John Brennan’s investigation in the Southern District of Florida barrels into its final, unforgiving chapter.

So what does the cerebral architect of the Russia collusion hoax do?

The same Brennan who, with Comey and Obama’s blessing, weaponized the full apparatus of the state against a sitting President runs straight to MSNBC to whine about… government weaponization.

“Part of this is to harass, to try to hurt individuals reputationally, professionally and financially.”

“We have people in government who seem to be so mean spirited that they try to hurt individuals, people, family and others.”

The projection is so pure, so clinical, it’s almost beautiful in its pathology.

This is the same cabal that manufactured the Steele dossier fairy tale, green-lit Crossfire Hurricane, abused the FISA courts, leaked like sieves, and spent years methodically shredding Donald Trump’s reputation, finances, family, and political future…all to nullify the will of 74 million Americans.

They didn’t just target one man.

They declared psychological and institutional war on the republic itself, convinced their “ends” sanctified any means.

    Psychology 101, deep-state edition:

when the predators become prey, the howls of victimhood are immediate, righteous, and utterly lacking in self-awareness.

Entitled authoritarians who believed themselves the permanent ruling class now discover…to their theatrical horror…that the machine they built has no loyalty and a very long memory.

    Watch the holding charge.

It is not the kill shot.

It is the opening wedge. The real indictments are loading. The leverage is tightening.

    The reckoning isn’t coming….
It is already here, motherfuckers…precise, ferocious, and long overdue.

Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins said Tuesday that a recent review found thousands of Americans who receive Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program benefits in just one state are actually driving luxury vehicles.
Rollins did not identify the state, except to say it was led by a Republican, but said a scrutiny of the federal food stamp program uncovered that thousands of people who are getting the benefits in that one state are also rolling to stores in Bentleys and Teslas.
The study, conducted by the Foundation for Government Accountability, connected 14,000 luxury vehicles to food stamp enrollees, with Lexus being the most common brand.
The review found 3,636 food stamp recipients are driving Lexus cars, 2,098 are driving Teslas, 1,914 are driving BMWs, 1,131 are driving Cadillacs, 11 drive Lamborghinis, three drive Bentleys and three drive Ferraris, according to the Washington Times
“This is just in one state,” Rollins said. “We need to defend our nutrition programs for those most in need, not for scammers gaming the system. These individuals are taking advantage of the American taxpayer. And together with [the vice president’s] Task Force to Eliminate Fraud, this ends NOW.”
The study also found that 306 people drive Land Rovers, 244 drive Alfa Romeos, 141 drive Porsches and 59 people are driving Jaguars, among others.
The luxury car brands are among the most expensive in the nation, with Lamborghinis costing over $680,000, the outlet reported. Ferraris are worth over $600,000 and Bentleys range from $250,000 to $414,000.
Rollins also announced that 4.3 million people have been moved off of food stamps under the Trump administration so far. SNAP benefits were given to 42.8 million people in January 2025 and 38.5 million this past January.

Then it was mostly Vietnamese – drive up in a Cadillac and buy things like steaks and shrimp!!! And yet as a single parent, I couldn’t qualify because I had a vehicle that was less than 10 years old, even tho I had a loan on that vehicle with exorbitant interest rates – I still couldn’t qualify.

  7. this is PATHETIC! this woman (i am guessing) probably thinks her race is enough to get her elected, because she knows NOTHING about government. She said the Executive Branch should NOT be enforcing immigration laws…Congress should. (say what?)

    article

Candidate Has Zero Understanding of How Government Works, Says Congress Should Enforce Federal Immigration Laws Instead Of ICE

Ala Stanford is running as a Democratic candidate in Pennsylvania’s third district. According to her, she is running to abolish ICE. When asked about this in an NBC interview, she had no solution to this alleged problem. In fact, her “answer” only proved how foolish she truly is.

According to Stanford, the executive branch should not be enforcing immigration laws. She claims it is because the president should have nothing to do with it, as it “belongs with Congress.” The problem with this claim, however, is that the lawmakers rarely enforce the laws. That is not a thing. And what is comical is that DHS and ICE agents are only enforcing the laws Congress enacted. So, if she truly has a problem with enforcing federal immigration laws, then she should get elected to Congress and help change the laws. She won’t do that, however, because if she has no clue how the branches of government are separated, then she surely has no clue how to author a bill.

It appears that Stanford may not have passed her high school civics class. Because if she had, she would understand that “Congress enacted the Immigration and Nationality Act, which regulates everything from the type of visas available to enter the country to the requirements for someone to become a U.S. citizen. This law empowers the executive branch to carry out immigration law.”

What is so pathetic is not that she failed to convey such a simple concept of the republic, but that she is attempting to gain a seat to represent people in a system she knows nothing about. And what is even more comical is that she asked the reporter for more time so she could “think about it.” She really is that naive, and it is even more ridiculous, considering she expected the interviewer to hold her hand as she thought about it, despite it being such an easy question — especially since it is part of her campaign.

  10. hey call it “STAFFERS”…we know it as the swamp…why NOTHING gets done.

    Harrison
    April 29, 2026 8:01 am

Can’t speak about Wiles, but the rest is plausible – even likely – with the possible exception on who actually writes the bills. It’s why you don’t get mad when you talk to staffers – you instead do your best to inform them…

John Thune has become a punching bag for good reason but there is a more insidious force at play nobody can talk about. Let me explain…

The staffers in Thune’s office have been asking Trump Naval and Maritime appointees questions about me before confirmation hearings.

I doubt John Thune knows who I am. His staff absolutely does. They track me. They hate me. And they will quietly bleed pushing out any appointee I’m friends with.

Someone close to PPO told me a Trump staffer commented that “Konrad should be a HBS case study on someone every in the administration respects but has zero chance of any appointment.”

It’s probably because I’ve called out congressional staffers numerous times before.

This is how Congress actually works.

It’s always the staffers. When we first floated the SHIPS Act, Mike Johnson’s hometown delegation were strong supporters.

The minute he became Speaker, his hometown people got bulldozed by the Speaker of the House staff he inherited.

Same man, different staff, different priorities.

Why do you think they wanted Mitch McConnell propped up after the freezing episodes? It wasn’t McConnell.

It was the cartel of people on his staff who needed his chair filled by someone they already controlled.

Members can’t read their own bills anymore. Thirty years of capped staff, frozen pay, and brain drain to K Street has left rank and file senators functionally illiterate on the legislation they vote on.

Leadership staff fill the vacuum. They are not entrenched because they are corrupt. They are entrenched because nobody else in the building can move a 1,500-page must-pass bill through conference.

That is the cartel. And it has rules. If you want anything in the NDAA, the omnibus, the CR, or any vehicle that actually moves, you do not piss them off. You do not name them. Break either rule and you do not get a second omnibus.

I’m not even willing to name individual staff.

John Phelan is the case study nobody is reading correctly. Phelan was not fired because he was a bad secretary. Phelan was fired because his chief of staff Jon Harrison had deep knowledge of the pentagon that Phelan lacked. Without him, Phelan was walking around the Pentagon naked and he knew it. He pulled back from media events and became too cautious.

Then there is Susie Wiles. I don’t know her. Never met her. From everything I can piece together she is doing a great job. The point is not Susie. The point is the Vanity Fair article.

It’s not even the article itself, that article contained a lot of BS, it was the reaction that came after. Every single republican & a few democrats stood behind her.

Now contrast that with the flood of negative articles about Mike Waltz, Kristi Noem or Pam Bondi.

When a politician is the subject of a hit piece is dragged over the coals, the system shrugs. But when it’s a senior staffer, the system closes rank. It is safer to trash Trump in print than to be perceived as trashing Susie. Trump is used to it. Susie controls the schedule, the access, and the door.

Multiply Susie by every leadership chief of staff, every NDAA conference staffer, & you have the machine. It is not partisan. Schumer’s staff & Thune’s staff protect each other from outside critics more reliably than they protect their own bosses from each other.

Leaders come and go but leadership staff is entrenched.

Congress is broken because leadership staff on both sides want it to remain broken. A Congress that can only legislate through 2,000-page must-pass bill is a Congress where the staff who draft the bill run the country. Regular order is their extinction event. They will never let it come back voluntarily.

You can call out politicians all day. They are used to it. Call out the staff and you don’t get frozen out of one bill. You get frozen out of every bill, by every office, on both sides, for as long as the cartel decides to remember your name.

They remember mine. Now you know why. even Luna can’t call them out.

To answer the most common question in the comments:

      Yes, Thune can fire staffers.

      But their friends will retaliate.

If one party banned together to fire all their staff you’d still have their friends on the other side ready to retaliate.

It’s kinda like mutual assured destruction game theory.

And they never would have let Thune become majority leader if they seriously feared he’d clean house.

Now he’s facing the possibility of prison.

The chickens have come home to roost for Morens, two years after congressional subpoenas exposed his avowed practice of circumventing the Freedom of Information Act to hide conversations about the origin of COVID-19 and suggesting he did so in cooperation with Fauci, whom Morens called “too smart” to get caught.

An April 16 federal indictment, unsealed Tuesday after Morens’ arrest, alleges conspiracies with two others, an agreement to illegally hide their conversations and a quid pro quo rewarding Morens with a “cult favorite” Napa Valley wine for promoting the natural origin theory of COVID and discrediting the lab-leak theory.

The updated version found “49 cases of extreme masking, 25 safety signals, including sudden cardiac death, pulmonary infarction, Bell’s palsy, 25 of these types,” Johnson said. “And the FDA ignored it, and they continue to say, well, we’re not seeing any safety signals,” he said. “This should be a major scandal.”

  15. “What Was HMS Trump? Bell From WWII Submarine Gifted To President”

Newsweek, by Aliss Higham, Apr 29, 2026

ENTIRE ARTICLE: “King Charles III presented President Donald Trump with the original conning tower bell from the World War II submarine HMS Trump during a state dinner in Washington on Tuesday evening, calling it a “personal gift” and a symbol of the close ties between Britain and the United States. The monarch, who is on a state visit to the U.S. alongside Queen Camilla, handed over the bell with a lighthearted remark: “And should you ever need to get hold of us, just give us a ring.”

The bell came from HMS Trump, a British Royal Navy submarine that served in the Pacific during the final stages of World War II.

    What Was HMS Trump?

HMS Trump was a T-class submarine launched in 1944 and deployed to the Far East as Britain intensified operations against Japanese forces in the Pacific. The vessel operated with the Fourth Submarine Squadron in Australia, carrying out four patrols from Perth before the end of the war. During the presentation, King Charles said the submarine had played a “critical role during the war in the Pacific.”

While on active service in the region, HMS Trump was involved in multiple attacks on Japanese vessels. It sank the guard boat No. 15 Shosei Maru on May 13, 1945, a Japanese sailing vessel on May 24, and two coasters on May 29 and June 1. It later sank a tanker on June 5 and, alongside its sister submarine HMS Tiptoe, destroyed a Japanese cargo vessel on August 9.

(A view of the bell from the submarine HMS Trump that was gifted to President Donald Trump by King Charles III during an official state dinner at the White House.)

The submarine remained in service for years after the war before being scrapped in August 1971. Presenting the bell, the king described it as “a testimony to our nation’s shared history and shining future,” framing the gift as both a historical artifact and a gesture of diplomatic goodwill.

    King Charles’ State Visit

The king and queen began their visit on Tuesday with a meeting at the White House with Donald Trump, first lady Melania Trump and members of the administration’s Cabinet. Later, King Charles addressed Congress, using the speech to stress the importance of faith, international cooperation and the long-standing defense relationship between the U.K. and the U.S.

“Mr. Speaker, for many here—and for myself—the Christian faith is a firm anchor and daily inspiration that guides us not only personally, but together as members of our community,” he said.

Referencing his long-standing work on interfaith relationships, the king said he had seen how understanding between different religions could strengthen communities and help counter division. He added that in “these turbulent times,” he hoped countries could work together “to stem the beating of plowshares into swords.”

He also spoke of the military partnership between Britain and America, pointing to shared responses to major global conflicts, including the aftermath of the 9/11 attacks, when NATO invoked Article 5 for the first time.

“Today, Mr. Speaker, that same, unyielding resolve is needed for the defense of Ukraine and her most courageous people—in order to secure a truly just and lasting peace,” he said.

He also pointed to long-standing cooperation between the U.S. and U.K., including intelligence partnerships, joint work on F-35 fighter jets, and the AUKUS security pact with Australia.

“We do not embark on these remarkable endeavors together out of sentiment,” he said. “We do so because they build greater shared resilience for the future, so making our citizens safer for generations to come.”

  16. Utah judge may have had inappropriate relationship with leftist lawyer in a gerrymander case.

    FTA

The Utah Supreme Court previously declared in July 2024 that Utah lawmakers violated Proposition 4 with their map. Proposition 4 is a left-wing ballot initiative approved by Utah voters that purported to ban gerrymandering.

Now, KSL News revealed that a man named Tobin Hagen has alleged that his ex-wife, Utah Supreme Court Justice Diana Hagen, was engaging in an possible romantic relationship with David Reymann, one of the leftist attorneys who successfully argued in favor of giving the Dems a congressional seat.

Tobin Hagen says that he discovered text messages between the two which began somewhat innocently but then became sexual in nature.

The alleged relationship seemingly started no later than February of 2025, when Tobin Hagen discovered the messages.

An attorney received the allegations from Tobin Hagen via Facebook and filed a complaint with the Judicial Conduct Commission in December 2025.

    KSL News reported:

The allegations originally come from Hagen’s ex-husband, Tobin Hagen, who said he suspected the justice began having an inappropriate relationship with Reymann, one of the attorneys representing the plaintiffs in the lawsuit over Utah’s redistricting maps.

Tobin Hagen allegedly described the circumstances surrounding his divorce proceedings to another attorney, including allegations that Diana Hagen had exchanged text messages with Reymann, which Tobin Hagen said began as “silly” and then became “more suggestive.”

The case, League of Women Voters of Utah v. Utah State Legislature, is arguably the highest-profile legal case to reach the Utah Supreme Court in years. The justices issued a unanimous ruling in July 2024 saying lawmakers overreached by changing Proposition 4, an anti-gerrymandering ballot initiative.

Attorney Michael Worley said he received the allegations from Tobin Hagen through a Facebook message, and Worley later filed a complaint with the Judicial Conduct Commission in late December 2025, saying he felt his role as an attorney of the bar required him to disclose the information. Tobin Hagen did not approve of the complaint being filed with the commission, according to documents, but “acknowledged its accuracy.”

Justice Hagen, not surprisingly, has called the allegations “false.”

KSL News notes that the Judicial Conduct Commission investigated the allegations and interviewed Tobin Hagen but decided to sit on their hands.

But Justice Diana Hagen’s troubles are not over. Utah Governor Spencer Cox, Senate President Stuart Adams and House Speaker Mike Schultz told KSL in a joint statement on Thursday that an investigation is coming:

An initial review by the Judicial Conduct Commission and the court left important questions unresolved. Allegations of this nature, especially involving public officials, must be examined with transparency and accountability to establish the facts and to maintain public confidence.

We will move forward with an independent investigation to ensure the facts are fully examined. This process will be conducted objectively and thoroughly, because maintaining trust in our institutions is essential.

Elon Musk just exposed the one lie every modern nation tells itself.

Musk: “In 1969, we were able to send somebody to the moon.” Rotary phones. Computers the size of rooms. Slide rules.

We put a human on the moon with less processing power than your watch. Musk: “Then the space shuttle retired, and the United States could take no one to orbit.”

The most advanced nation in human history went from footprints on the moon to zero capability of leaving the atmosphere.

That is not a funding problem. That is civilizational decay dressed up as a policy decision.

Musk: “People are mistaken when they think that technology just automatically improves… it will, by itself, degrade.”

That sentence should keep you up tonight. We treat progress like gravity. Like it pulls us forward whether we try or not. It is the opposite.

Progress is a boulder on a hill. The second you stop pushing, it rolls back over you. And it never announces itself.

Musk: “You look at great civilizations like ancient Egypt, and they were able to make the pyramids, and they forgot how to do that.”

They did not run out of stone. They were not conquered. They got comfortable.

And the knowledge bled out so quietly that nobody noticed until it was already gone.

That is the real threat to everything we have built. Not a nuclear flash. Not an asteroid. Not some dramatic Hollywood collapse. A quiet forgetting.

Every chip we fabricate. Every rocket we launch. Every data center we power. All of it held together by a thin fraction of the population working at a pace that would break most people.

The moment that fraction gets tired or outnumbered by people who believe the machine runs itself, everything dissolves. And here is the part nobody wants to say out loud.

We are not special. We are running the same operating system as every civilization that came before us.

Comfort is the sedative. Complacency is the flatline.

One generation that stops fighting is all it has ever taken.

You do not lose the future in a war.

You lose it in your sleep

Holy moly! “Section 2 of the Voting Rights Act of 1965, 52 U. S. C. §10301 et seq., was designed to enforce the Constitution—not collide with it. Unfortunately, lower courts have sometimes applied this Court’s §2 precedents in a way that forces States to engage in the very race-based discrimination that the Constitution forbids.” The Supreme Court ends racist redistricting. Major win for the Fourteenth Amendment. Justice Alito writes for a six justice majority. This means States across the country can eliminate race-based districts. Huge!

  19. Just The News: “Punch lines of dead people voting in North Carolina met a measure of demise, with the State Board of Elections saying it had removed 34,000 registrations for which the individual had died. Using the federal Systematic Alien Verification for Entitlements database, known also as SAVE, the board submitted nearly 7.4 million records on April 17 in a routine list maintenance protocol.

“While we expected to find some cases, this is higher than we anticipated,” said Sam Hayes, executive director of the State Board of Elections. “The benefit of entering into cross-state and federal database checks is that it allows us to uncover issues like this. Our goal is to use every available and legal tool at our disposal to achieve the most accurate voter rolls possible.

“Now, we must roll up our sleeves and begin the hard work to act of verifying that every person registered to vote in North Carolina is eligible. Our team, along with our state and federal will do what’s necessary to meet this responsibility.”

Republicans’ majorities in the General Assembly moved oversight and appointments of the election board to the state auditor in 2024. First-term Republican Dave Boliek said the integrity of elections begins with effective management.

“The State Board of Elections is leading on voter roll cleanup, getting work done quickly and efficiently,” Boliek said. “This marks another positive step toward ensuring our state has secure elections, where only eligible voters are casting ballots.”

Dead people on voter rolls is not evidencing a vote from them has been cast in any election, contrary to the jokes and sometimes sincere accusations of such. The state board does say it underscores “the importance of regular updates and strong interagency coordination.”

The state board, through county boards weekly, gets information from the Department of Health and Human Services on voters who die. The comparison used in the SAVE database search includes the voter’s name, date of birth and last four digits of Social Security number being sent to the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services. The agency crosschecks with the Social Security Administration.

If a voter was registered in North Carolina, then moved or died in another state, this process helps discovery.”

Here’s a folklore-ish take on the bee incident yesterday.

The Bees Were Told Today And It Wasn’t Just a Photo Op.

During King Charles III’s White House visit, President Trump walked the royal couple straight to the newly expanded beehives on the South Lawn.

Melania had just unveiled a hive shaped like the White House itself.

Then a live bee landed calmly on Trump’s open palm while the King and Queen watched in surprise.

    This wasn’t random.

In ancient British and Scottish tradition, especially among royal and rural families, you must formally “tell the bees” of any major change in the household: a death, a marriage, a new master of the house.

Fail to do so and the hive may abandon you.

When Queen Elizabeth II passed in 2022, the royal beekeeper performed the ritual at Buckingham Palace and Clarence House: “The Queen is dead. Long live the King.”

Today Trump, a distant Scottish Stuart cousin of the royals, publicly showed the thriving American hives to the King.

In the esoteric reading, this was a modern “telling of the bees” for the post-Elizabeth era: a symbolic handover and alignment of the two “hives” (the nations/societies themselves) under new stewardship.

This was a very public demonstration: Trump standing tall as the one in charge, and the King quietly capitulating on American soil.

The bees, and the world, just witnessed who holds the hive now.

  22. Getting my cantaloupe planted has been on my mind lately. While I was rummaging for the items I needed, I also decided to get at least one of the garden beds replanted with CA Poppies. I didn’t plant them so thick this time but I still need to get one more package of seeds.

      1. Demanding little buggers, aren’t they? LOL – just finished planting my cantaloupe. I didn’t stagger them this time. I put 3 seeds in each hill (5) but will thin them to one in each. Rodney/Kimi also sent me some flower seeds – IDR the name of them – that I am going to plant in back of the cantaloupe trellis’ along the garage wall.

  23. “Hey – when you’re the King of a country as fucked up as England is now, you better have a sense of humor. Charles delighted guests with his wit and humor on day two of his historic State Visit to the US. The monarch and Trump prompted giggles from the crowds with jokes about “soccer,” the King’s “cute” accent and a handful of more high-stakes gags.

Amid worsening relations between Trump and Keir Starmer over Iran, the King went on a charm offensive to smooth things over in the ‘Special Relationship.’ Addressing the US Congress, Charles jokingly reassured lawmakers he was not in America for “cunning rearguard action” to reestablish British rule as he spoke about his five-times great grandfather King George III who was monarch when the US won independence from Britain.

The King also later poured on the charm at the White House State Dinner, delighting guests with jokes about “soccer” and speaking French. Referencing the upcoming World Cup in America, Charles quipped the UK calls it “football” rather than “soccer” in a ‘cheeky’ jibe.”

  24. Reported By: Fox News / April 28, 2026 –  A Wisconsin middle school teacher has been placed on administrative leave after a disturbing social media post that appeared to call for political violence. The post, which featured the phrase “Make Americans Great Assassins Again,” was shared shortly after the recent assassination attempt in Washington. School district officials confirmed the employee was removed from the classroom while an investigation is conducted. Parents and local leaders demand accountability for educators who use their platforms to promote violence or radical ideologies to students. The teacher was taken out of the classroom after community members flagged the violent rhetoric to the school board.

Local families have called for permanent termination, arguing that someone advocating for political murder should not be around children. This incident follows several cases of public employees facing discipline for celebrating threats against the administration and federal officials.

You would think someone whose job it is to educate the next generation would have enough sense to keep their mouth shut instead of calling for literal murder. It is a sad state of affairs when the people we trust with our kids are the ones fanning the flames of hate. If you are more interested in being a political radical than a teacher, you ought to turn in your lesson plans and find a new line of work where you aren’t poisoning young minds with that kind of garbage. Juss’ sayin’…”

  25. “It’s getting hard to tell if some of these judges are actually Americans…

A federal judge has ruled that a federal prison in Minnesota must destroy all mug shots of Muna Jama, a Muslim woman photographed without her hijab, which the judge deemed a violation of her religious rights. U.S. District Judge Jeffrey Bryan, a Biden appointee, stated that Jama’s hijab is an essential element of her religious practice and that forcing her to be photographed without it substantially burdens her religious exercise.

The ruling came after Jama was required to take the photo during her booking in 2019. Authorities then used the picture on her ID and records. After filing a complaint in 2022, the prison allowed her to take a new photo with her hijab but insisted she also pose for another uncovered photo, which was to remain sealed.

The court found this arrangement insufficient, with Judge Bryan emphasizing that keeping her uncovered image could lead to exposure to unrelated males, infringing on her beliefs. He also criticized the prison’s argument that it needed the uncovered photo for escape scenarios, stating that the government did not provide evidence showing such a requirement was necessary.

Judge Bryan noted that the prison’s policy regarding hijab photography was inconsistent, as non-Muslim inmates were not subject to similar requirements. He argued that any escapee could use a hijab as a disguise, reinforcing the need for fair treatment of all inmates.”

  26. “The Iranians finally coming around? It’s all about the oil, not ideology…

Iran is rapidly running out of space to store its oil as President Trump continues his naval blockade in the Strait of Hormuz – which could lead to “irreversible” damage to the regime’s biggest industry and lifeblood of its economy. Massive supertankers have been spotted at Kharg Island, an oil-critical hubs. But with nowhere for the crude carriers to go with the US blockade around the Gulf of Oman, experts say it is a sign that the regime is using the vessels as floating storage. Iran has repeatedly tried to push its ships through the US naval blockade, but its ships are routinely intercepted, with six tankers forced to turn back in recent days.

“If the Iranians have to shut down oil and gas production due to a lack of storage capacity, there will be permanent damage to the productivity of the oil fields,” said Derek Reisfield, Co-Founder of Marketwatch and a former McKinsey consultant. “The damage will be irreversible,” he added. “The loss in capacity could easily be half a million barrels in daily production.”

The Critical Threats Project at the American Enterprise Institute think-tank also estimated to The Post that Tehran likely has until tomorrow night before its onshore storage facilities are filled. THAT is the only reason they’ll want to talk to us. End of story…”
