What Shall We Bake Today?

May reminds me of fresh fruit, sunshine and picnics.  Let’s start the month off with Peach bars!

Ingredients

3 cups all-purpose flour

1-1/2 cups sugar, divided

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

Dash ground cinnamon

1 cup shortening

1 large egg

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

3 pounds peaches, peeled and chopped

1 teaspoon almond extract

4 teaspoons cornstarch

Directions

Preheat oven to 375°. Whisk flour, 1 cup sugar, baking powder, salt and cinnamon; cut in shortening until crumbly. In another bowl, whisk egg and vanilla until blended; add to flour mixture, stirring with a fork until crumbly.

Reserve 2-1/2 cups crumb mixture for topping. Press remaining mixture onto bottom of a greased 13×9-in. baking pan.

Toss peaches with almond extract. In another bowl, mix cornstarch and remaining sugar; add to peaches and toss to coat. Spread over crust; sprinkle with reserved topping.

Bake until lightly browned and filling is bubbly, 40-45 minutes. Cool completely in pan on a wire rack. Cut into bars.

Enjoy! DO NOT FREEZE!

  1. Good Morning All!

well we have sunshine, but it’s 30* out there.

we now have at least 4 orioles–2 males (one larger than the other) and 2 females. there may be more, but these are the ones we’ve seen so far.

none have any interest in the yarn yet, but I’m hopeful.

    see what today brings…

    Benghazi Exposed:

Hillary Clinton, Obama, Arms Trafficking & The Stinger Missile Cover-Up

What else did that $1.7 BILLION and $400 million in cash on pallets sent to Iran really go to, or was sent to Iran for in the first place?

2012, Ambassador Chris Stevens departs to Benghazi to covertly recover U.S.-made Stinger missiles that Hillary Clinton’s State Department had supplied to Ansar al-Sharia in Libya, without congressional approval.

Small-arms weapons trafficking was known about and operational, but Hillary, covertly took over the weapons trafficking operation with much more than “small-arms.”

Stinger missiles and other weapons that armed our enemies, which were then used on our own military.

What was the true reason to get these missiles through? Was it money? Or was it to cover up evidence and stop military personnel from exposing the truth?

The deal, brokered through private arms dealer Marc Turi, went sideways when some missiles reached the Taliban.
On July 25, 2012, one nearly downed a U.S. Chinook in Afghanistan, its serial number traced straight back to a CIA cache in Qatar.

Facing disaster, the administration issued stand-down orders to rescue teams while Stevens raced to retrieve the rest.

Gen. Petraeus had refused CIA involvement, so he was thrown under the bus.

Obama publicly blamed a YouTube video, even as the Taliban used the scandal to blackmail the White House into swapping Bowe Bergdahl for five Taliban generals.

Clinton’s private server quietly scrubbed the evidence, hence why the destruction of the emails and server was such an important task.

This also ties into the bigger picture with the $1.7 billion with $400 million in cash on pallets sent to Iran in an unmarked cargo plane in the dead of night.

Was this blackmail payments to keep Iran quiet about what really happened to Osama bin Laden and the alleged trophy kill and there being a body double?

    Or payment for the hostages?

We know some of that $400 million eventually made it’s way to help steal the 2020 election through Swiss banks with the help of Italy and Iran.

In the end when it comes to Benghazi, it wasn’t a spontaneous protest.

It wasn’t incompetence. It was a treasonous arms deal that put American lives at risk, with others paying the ultimate price.

    This is treason

How John Brennan’s Private Security Company Got Caught “Sanitizing” Obama’s Files to Seal the 2008 Election that Ended Up in an Unsolved Murder, & Brennan Becoming Obama’s CIA Director

John Brennan was CEO of The Analysis Corp (TAC), which held a State Dept passport contract while secretly advising Obama’s campaign, which is a massive conflict of interest, was caught in 2008 messing with Obama’s passport file, before the election and while Obama was being questioned about his origins and foreign connections, especially with Pakistan, which was then later revealed.

A key cooperating witness Lt. Quarles Harris Jr., who was tangled in the passport-data ID theft ring connected to the State Department which overlapped into the Obama passport incident agreed to work with the feds.

One month later, Harris Jr. was found dead, shot execution style in his car in D.C. in a church parking lot.

Obama’s birth certificate, passport, and foreign connections all got brushed under the rug, Obama wins the 2008 election and then appoints John Brennan as his new CIA Director.

      There are no coincidences

$90 MILLION Biden-Harris Email Cover-Up Using Codeword: “Benghazi” for COVID-Era Loans to Planned Parenthood

Newly obtained SBA documents reveal the Biden-Harris administration labeled all communications about COVID-era loans to Planned Parenthood with the code word “Benghazi” to deliberately dodge Freedom of Information Act requests.

Planned Parenthood, America’s largest abortion business, illegally pocketed $90 million in forgivable Paycheck Protection Program loans meant for struggling small businesses.

They weren’t even eligible by law.

Now, under SBA Administrator Kelly Loeffler, those loans are under aggressive review, affiliates must produce documentation or be disqualified.

While raking in $832 million in taxpayer dollars ($2.3 million per day), PP ended the lives of 434,000+ unborn babies in 2023-24, an increase of over 32,000 from the year before.

Senator Joni Ernst just dropped the truth bomb, and SBA Pro-Life America President Marjorie Dannenfelser nailed it: they knew it was illegal, so they covered their tracks using the national horror of Benghazi.

Taxpayers should never be forced to bankroll this. Congress, make the defunding of Big Abortion permanent in the reconciliation bill.

The Supreme Court struck down two congressional maps in Louisiana Wednesday, ruling the state was unconstitutionally racially gerrymandering when it added a second majority black district. Louisiana redrew the maps in 2024 after a lower court ruled previous maps likely violated the Voting Rights Act because it did not include the second majority black district.

Missouri GOP Sen. Eric Schmitt asked the Justice Department earlier Thursday to enforce the Supreme Court ruling nationwide, noting it had the power to do so.

The commitment comes as 45 redistricting disputes remain unresolved in federal and state courts, casting a cloud of legal uncertainty over the fight for control of the U.S. House of Representatives this November.”

SCOTUS may see this attempt to CORRECT the law (which is NOT NECESSARY) and say look even CONGRESS KNOWS the original amendment grants citizenship to all.

  11. Just The News: “As Senate Majority Leader John Thune resists pressure to reform chamber rules to pass legislation without Democratic support, some fellow Republicans in the House are ramping up their efforts to make the upper chamber advance the Trump agenda.

At present, the Senate filibuster effectively requires 60 votes for legislation to advance, making the passage of marquee legislation more difficult. (Right now, Republicans have just 53 of the 100 Senate seats.)

Republicans and Democrats alike have for years bemoaned their inability to advance key priorities under the current system. Now, with the midterms fast approaching and with Republicans having little to show for their time in the majority, some lawmakers want to go on offense, particularly to pass the SAVE America Act, a voter ID bill that has strong support among the Republican base.

“I hope that the Senate will consider taking up reconciliation and doing a comprehensive reconciliation package, and yes, the SAVE AMERICA Act,” said Rep. Eric Burlison, R-Mo., during an appearance this week on the “John Solomon Reports” podcast. “Of course … you can’t just pass policy as budget related, so we’re looking to do that.”

Reconciliation is a procedural maneuver through which the Senate can advance budget-related legislation with a simple majority and thereby bypass the filibuster threshold. The process is subject to the oversight of the Senate parliamentarian, however, and she may overrule specific attempts to include non-budget items in the reconciliation process.

But some Republicans see the prospect of a future Democratic-led Senate moving first to end the filibuster and advance their priorities as a near certainty and want to move first to score some points with voters before the election.

“The Democrats are going to nuke the filibuster, pack the court and undo that and undo Dobbs,” said Texas GOP Rep. Chip Roy, referring to the 2022 Supreme Court decision that declared that authority to regulate abortion is returned to elected state officials, during his recent appearance on “John Solomon Reports.”

They are committed. They are absolutely undeterred. So I think the Senate ought to modify the rules. Make sure that we can get on offense and win over enough Americans to deliver on the president’s agenda. So we stay in office longer. Because right now, look, the [midterm] election is going to be a little shaky if we don’t get on offense. Lots of good things happening, but we got to deliver in Congress.”

“This is a unique moment where a US president, a Russian president, and a Chinese president are dead against the Europeans. Wake up.”

I have been saying for years that reverse indicators will always avail you better than active indicators for what’s really going on. In other words, the enemy always tells you what they fear the most. Emmanuel Macron just told you what I have spent the better part of a half decade writing about every single week: the Sovereign Alliance is real, the European Continent knows it is real, and that Alliance is winning.

Donald Trump, Vladimir Putin and Xi Jinping have been effecting a series of pincer moves against the Globalist Western Hegemon on kinetic, political and most importantly, financial and energy grounds, and the Iranian Knot represents the closing of all of those pincers at once.

If you have been unable to suss out why the whole western world seems to be in chaos, and yet, Donald Trump seems completely at ease, that’s because you have not been operating from the core premise that our ‘So-Called Allies,’ which Trump has been referring to them as since 1987 have been anything but for generations.

And that the ‘New Axis of Upheaval’ framing applied to Russia, China and Iran that I signaled in advance in July of 2025 is anything but a true axis, then you’re simply not going to understand the global re-ordering that is currently taking place, and that is going to usher us into a new age of Multipolarity in the place of coerced Collectivism masquerading as the same.

I have been writing about this Actual Pincer move for years, and I have focused the bulk of my attention on the Narrative translation layers such a pincer is being forced to navigate due to the overwhelming calcification of the Western Mind, which is to say the Western Story …

Donald Trump and the Sovereign Alliance continue to emerge not as the heroes of a simplistic fairy tale, but, somewhat paradoxically as the villains the Collective Mind has been programmed to fear. Which is to say … the very heroes we need right now.

For in this inverted battlespace, where the lines between ally and adversary blur into a paradoxical haze, the true antagonists are the faceless architects of globalist hegemony—the warmongers who peddle perpetual conflict as the engine of their empire, whether we call them the Hegemon, the Deep State or the New World Order that’s been getting a bit long in the tooth for our liking.

In this battlespace, Trump, Putin, Xi, Modi and even enigmatic figures like Mohammed bin Salman and Kim Jong Un stand as disruptors, the nationalists who dare to prioritize sovereignty over subservience.

Yet, beneath the surface posturing, their escalations are not harbingers of doom, but catalysts for a multipolar renaissance—a world where cooperative competition supplants coerced collectivism, paving the rails for technological acceleration, economic vitality, and, ultimately, enduring peace.”

    Got it? Good.”

It’s a cinnamon/brown sugar/nut covered balls of dough that you pull apart to eat. The name of the recipe is Golden Crown Cake…I dunno what that name’s referring to lol.

it’s a pain in the ass to make cuz you gotta let it raise twice, but i make it once a year. and since it’s cold outside, it’s a perfect day to do it.

  16. Just The News: “The Senate unanimously voted Thursday to pass a resolution that preemptively bans them from trading on prediction markets such as Polymarket amid growing concerns of insider trading on such platforms.

The bill, which was introduced by Ohio GOP Sen. Bernie Moreno last week, comes after a U.S. soldier was accused of allegedly using classified information to place bets on Polymarket about the military operation to capture Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro.

The resolution amends the Senate’s rules to prohibit lawmakers from entering into “an agreement, contract, or transaction that provides for any purchase, sale, payment or delivery” based on an event’s outcome.

Prediction markets are an avenue for gambling that allows people to bet on the outcome of various events, from elections to sports to the economy.

Polymarket, which is one of the largest prediction market platforms, said it supports the resolution and banning insider trading on its app.

“We’re in full support of this,” Polymarket posted on X. “Our Rulebook & Terms of Service already prohibit such conduct, but codifying this into law is a step forward for the industry. Happy to help move this forward however we can.”

FTA “Moulton: Hegseth ‘Guilty’ of War Crimes Like Nazi Submarine Captains

Wednesday on CNN’s “OutFront,” Rep. Seth Moulton (D-MA) claimed that Secretary of War Pete Hegseth had committed war crimes. Host Erin Burnett said, “Do you believe that the Secretary of Defense is guilty of war crimes?” Moulton said, “Absolutely. I mean, he’s clearly behind the operation to shoot all these boats in the Caribbean when it’s very unclear that we actually have any confirmation that these so-called narco terrorists, a term the administration invented to justify this action, are even on the boats. I mean, in fact, there’s a lot of evidence that these are just fishermen, you know, getting jobs, piloting these boats, trying to feed their families. There’s been press reporting on some of these individuals who have been killed, who are clearly not war criminals. ” He added, “And on top of that, we then have the strike where they came back in and hit it again, a double tap, just purely to kill these survivors who were clinging to wreckage. You know, it’s interesting, Erin, another historical analogy back in World War II, the Allies tried Nazi submarine captains for doing this exact same thing. And guess what the conclusion was? They got executed.”

Participants are expected to gather at the four corners of the Marsh Trail Bend and Central Parkway roundabout from 9 a.m. to noon on Friday, May 1. This location is about three-quarters of a mile away from where President Trump will be speaking at The Villages High School in Middleton.

The ship, constructed by French shipbuilder Chantiers de l’Atlantique, also has a dedicated butler to each cabin. With interiors inspired by the golden age of travel, the Orient Express train and famous ocean liners of the 20th century, every spare inch has been fitted with leathers, precious wood veneers and marble. From May to October, Orient Express Corinthian will float around the Mediterranean and Adriatic, before crossing the Atlantic for Caribbean voyages in the autumn and winter months. Guests who don’t feel like swimming in the ocean but still want to get their toes wet can try out the 54ft lap pool, as well as a wider swimming pool and a marina.

In 2027, a new collection of itineraries will see the ship sail to the eastern Mediterranean and Northern Europe. Prices for the inaugural cruise have not yet been set, but 54 suites will eventually have prices generally ranging from approximately $ 22,000 to over $ 120,000 per suite, depending on duration and itinerary. What is even more striking is who it shows up in. Young, single women. The group that, not long ago, took pride in presenting themselves well. Now you see the opposite. Little attention to appearance, little attention to health, little evidence of discipline in how they care for their own bodies. Poor diet, no exercise, and an overall posture of disengagement.

It gets dismissed as rebellion or some cultural statement. I do not buy that. What I see, as a woman, is something much simpler. It is easier to give up than to do the work. Easier to opt out than to invest in yourself.

Then comes the next step. Blame men for not measuring up. Raise standards while lowering effort. Walk away from dating. Walk away from marriage. Convince yourself you do not need a family. Replace it with a tight circle of friends and a pet or two for companionship. And call that independence. It is not independence. It is retreat. And it is profoundly sad.”

  22. Dr. Malone: “Participation trophies…

What used to be called indulgence has been rebranded in softer language. Permissive parenting. Gentle parenting. Soft parenting. The labels sound thoughtful, even compassionate. The outcomes tell a different story. Expectations lowered. Boundaries blurred. Rewards handed out with little connection to effort or achievement. Whether it is children or even pets, the impulse to placate has replaced the responsibility to teach.

Across homes and classrooms, a cultural shift has taken hold. Comfort is prioritized over discipline. Validation is handed out in place of accountability. Standards that once prepared young people to function in the real world have been quietly dismantled.

We now have a generation of young adults for whom an easy A is the norm. Not earned through mastery, but granted for showing up. Participation, not preparation. Presence, not performance.

At the same time, they are being told a story. From social media, from peers, and too often from the adults around them. That being unwell confers status. That victimhood brings recognition. That hard work is for those who failed to game the system. That society owes them. Not just opportunity, but outcomes. Resources, money, subsidized housing, endless concessions. The able-bodied are told their role is to provide, not to build. To redistribute, not to create.

This is not the old “me” generation. This is something different. A worldview that assigns moral authority to grievance and treats dependency as virtue.

The result is predictable. Young adults who are unprepared for the demands of real life. Unprepared for responsibility, for resilience, for the basic discipline required to sustain a career, a relationship, or a family. And deep down, many of them know it.

Because opting out is easier. Easier to lean into anxiety, depression, or disengagement than to confront difficulty. Easier to remain on the couch than to step into a world that demands effort. For many, especially young women, the consequences are already visible. Delayed families. Fragile relationships. Metabolic disease. Careers that never quite launch.

This did not happen by accident. It traces back to parenting. To the choices made, repeated, and normalized over years.

Perhaps this generation will recognize what was lost and choose differently when it is their turn. Perhaps they will rediscover the value of discipline, responsibility, and earned success.”

    • “Key Finding 1: The Biden DOJ pursued aggressive prosecutions against non-violent, prolife, Christian demonstrators under the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances (FACE) Act but responded less aggressively to violent attacks against pregnancy resource centers.”
    • “Key Finding 2: The Biden Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) investigated, monitored, tracked, and scrutinized traditional Catholics who had engaged in no criminal misconduct.”
    • “Key Finding 3: The Biden Internal Revenue Service (IRS) investigated churches because of what their pastors preached and Christian organizations because they applied biblical teachings to daily life.”
    • “Key Finding 4: The Biden Department of Education (ED) focused its enforcement actions against Christian universities, levying enormous fines that dwarfed the penalties for Larry Nassar’s and Jerry Sandusky’s sexual assaults.”
    • “Key Finding 5: The Biden Health and Human Services (HHS) and DOJ scaled back ongoing enforcement efforts to vindicate conscience rights, withdrawing a notice of violation against the University of Vermont Medical Center after it coerced a Christian nurse into participating in an abortion despite her religious objections.”
    • “Key Finding 6: The Biden Administration was one of the loudest supporters of a congressional proposal that would eliminate religious protections for Christians and other religions that hold traditional social values.”
    • “Key Finding 7: Even though Congress rejected a similar attempt, the Biden Administration tried to mandate the adoption of its views on sexual orientation and gender ideology, with limited religious exceptions.”
    • “Key Finding 8: Because it viewed traditional Christian values as harmful to children with gender dysphoria or same-sex attraction, the Biden HHS took multiple steps to prevent Christian families from living out their religious beliefs.”

  26. 🟢 Mysterious Green Glow Over Hawaii

A strange green ripple appeared over Hawaii.

Officials were confused. Military didn’t know. Turns out: not aliens. Not auroras. Airglow.

    • oxygen atoms glowing ~100 km up
    • disturbed by atmospheric gravity waves
    • only visible with cameras

The sky is always glowing. We just usually can’t see it.

    • hyper-curiosity
    • pattern-seeking
    • novelty-driven focus

    🌈 Double Rainbow From Above

Aerial footage captured a double rainbow.

Chalfont, Pennsylvania, USA, April 30, 2026.

From above: You see the full structure (if there). Not just an arc (too bad only the double arc in this pic, but you can imagine the full picture!). But still beautiful! Perspective changes everything.”
