A tense miners’ strike escalated to violence on April 20, 1914 at a Rockefeller-owned Colorado Fuel & Iron Mine in Las Animas County, involving Colorado National Guard raiding a camp of striking coal miners.
Today, the Ludlow Massacre is widely recognized as a pivotal turning point in the struggle for workers’ rights in the United States.
Miners and their families had previously been evicted from their homes after CF&I rejected the miners’ requests for hourly pay, collective bargaining rights, and safer working conditions. CF&I’s rejection of the miners’ demands led to the strike, and workers and their families were forced to create a tent colony in Ludlow.
CF&I was one of the most powerful mining companies during the period, with 7,000 workers and control of nearly 70,000 acres of land. The company was also one of the worst violators of existing mine safety rules, according to the National Park Service (NPS).

The strike came to a breaking point when Colorado National Guardsmen were mobilized in an effort to break the strike and attacked the Ludlow Tent Colony. A gun battle between the miners and company guards and Colorado National Guardsmen broke out. When miners fled to the hills, the militia led a raid that ended in the burning of the camp. Tragically, this resulted in the deaths of 13 women and children who were trapped in a hiding place in a tent cellar.
In total, 21 people were killed in the massacre.
The Ludlow Massacre triggered 10 days of ongoing conflict in Colorado as miners attacked a series of mines on a 40-mile stretch between Trinidad and Walsenburg. According to a previous article from The Gazette, more than 70 people died in conflicts along the Front Range between 1913 and 1914 in what is now known as the Colorado Coalfield War.
The public outcry that followed the massacre spurred Congress into action, leading the House Committee to launch an investigation into the tragedy. Their 1915 report helped drive the adoption of child labor laws and the enforcement of the eight-hour workday.
According to NPS, the landscape where the tent colony was located is designated as a National Historic Landmark.

The Ludlow Massacre Memorial was vandalized in 2003 and later repaired in 2005. The United Mine Workers of America established the memorial, which invites visitors to walk down the stairs to where the women and children were found.
Today, the Ludlow Massacre represents a pivotal moment that helped to reshape workers’ rights in the U.S.

Georgia elections officials charged in mental health insurance fraud case.
FTA
WGXA reported:
“Our health insurance programs, particularly those that provide benefits to our military servicemembers and their dependents, are vital to those who need assistance for medical treatment,” said U.S. Attorney Margaret Heap. “With our law enforcement partners, we will aggressively pursue those who fraudulently access those funds for their own personal gain.”
“The reach of this investigation extends beyond healthcare into the deliberate manipulation of federal programs designed to support honest small businesses,” said Special Agent-in-Charge, Jason J. Sargenski, Defense Criminal Investigative Service Southeast Field Office.
“By allegedly utilizing wire fraud to siphon resources from the Small Business Administration while simultaneously defrauding TRICARE, the defendant demonstrated a pattern of deceit that harms both the taxpayer and the integrity of our nation’s essential support systems. We remain dedicated to following the trail of fraud wherever it leads to ensure those who prioritize personal greed over public service are held fully accountable,” he said.

unbelievable! insurance fraud scammers use a bear suit to claim damages to luxury cars
article
https://www.theepochtimes.com/_next/image?url=https%3A%2F%2Fimg.theepochtimes.com%2Fassets%2Fuploads%2F2026%2F04%2F20%2Fid6014354-54136737982_dde8276c59_o.jpg
Three Los Angeles County residents were charged on April 16 with insurance fraud involving a bear suit and luxury vehicles. A fourth awaits trial.
The California Department of Insurance said the defendants used a person in a bear suit to stage fake attacks on their luxury vehicles, then submitted fraudulent claims for payouts to insurance companies that totaled around $142,000.
“What may have looked unbelievable turned out to be exactly that—and now those responsible are being held accountable,” Insurance Department Commissioner Ricardo Lara said. “My Department’s investigators uncovered the facts, exposed this scam, and helped bring these defendants to justice. Insurance fraud is a serious crime that drives up costs for consumers, and no scheme is too outrageous for us to investigate.”
The department said the investigation began when an insurance company flagged a suspicious claim where the defendants said a bear entered their 2010 Rolls-Royce Ghost in Lake Arrowhead, California, on Jan. 28, 2024, and caused interior damage.
Alongside the claim, the defendants submitted security camera footage that showed a “bear” rummaging through the car’s interior and included photos of scratch marks on car doors and seats.
Department detectives determined the “bear” was a person wearing a bear costume.
Investigators later discovered two more fraudulent claims submitted to separate insurance companies with the same date and location, but tied to a 2015 Mercedes G63 AMG and a 2022 Mercedes E350.
These claims also included similar “bear attack” videos from security cameras shot in the same driveway of a “bear” going through the two Mercedes vehicles, and were also accompanied by photos of interior scratches.
The Department of Insurance said to further verify, it had a biologist from the California Department of Fish and Wildlife review the video, who said the “bear” in the footage was clearly a human in a bear suit.
Detectives later executed a search warrant in the suspects’ home and found a bear suit.
The four Los Angeles County residents involved were arrested on Nov. 13, 2024, and charged with insurance fraud and conspiracy.
All three convicted defendants were sentenced to 180 days in jail to be served through a weekend jail program.
Alfiya Zuckerman, 39, of Valley Village, was ordered to pay around $55,000 in restitution. Ruben Tamrazian, 26, of Glendale, was ordered to pay around $52,000. Vahe Muradkhanyan, 32, of Glendale, has yet to have his restitution set.
The fourth defendant, Ararat Chirkinian, 39, of Glendale, will have a preliminary hearing in court in September.

Just The News: “A 44-year-old Iranian woman living in Los Angeles was arrested on allegations that she was involved in trafficking military equipment, including drones and explosives, on behalf of Tehran. Shamim Mafi was taken into custody Saturday night at Los Angeles International Airport.
She has been charged with allegedly arranging the sale of drones, bombs, bomb fuses, and millions of rounds of ammunition intended for Sudan, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Central District of California.
Authorities said Mafi left Iran in 2013 and obtained permanent U.S. residency in 2016 during the Obama administration.”

Wow! Sad…..if he left as a private after 7 years, he should have been kicked out much earlier!
Just The News: “Eight children were killed early Sunday in domestic-related shootings at three Shreveport, La., homes, and the gunman, a former National Guardsman, died in a shootout with police, authorities said. Police identified the gunman as Shamar D. Elkins.
“Shamar D. Elkins served in the Louisiana Army National Guard from August 2013 to August 2020 as a Signal Support System Specialist (25U) and a Fire Support Specialist (13F),” an Army official told Fox News Digital. “He has no deployment. He left the Army as a private.”
Shreveport Police Department spokesman and public affairs officer Chris Bordelon said at a morning news conference that a total of 10 people were shot, of which eight, all children, were killed. The suspect then hijacked a car and led police on a chase into Bossier Parish, where he was shot and killed, authorities said.
Bordelon said the victims range in age from 1 to 14 years old. Some of them were related to the suspect. “This is an extensive scene unlike anything most of us have ever seen,” Bordelon said.
Shreveport Police Chief Wayne Smith said officers were still investigating the details and the motive for the fatal shootings and asked the community for patience. “I just don’t know what to say, my heart is just taken aback,” Smith said. “I cannot begin to imagine how such an event could occur.”
Mayor Tom Arceneaux said the families of the victims are hurting and he asked the community for their prayers. Louisiana Attorney General Liz Murrill said in a statement that the details remain under investigation.
“Multiple law enforcement agencies are investigating this tragic situation,” Murrill said. “We do not yet know all the details, but I am deeply saddened by the senseless loss of life. I’m praying for the victims and their family members in the wake of this devastating violence.”
The shootings occurred on 79th Street in an area called Cedar Grove, among the most dangerous in Shreveport. Several murders have occurred in the area previously. Shreveport has seen 15 murders so far this year, including the eight from Sunday.
Smith has repeatedly told the Shreveport City Council that domestic violence is a major issue facing the city. As other crime statistics were dropping, domestic violence incidents had been rising.”

Just The News: “President Trump on Sunday threatened to continue bombing Iran if they don’t accept the fair deal the U.S. will offer during negotiations that will take place in Pakistan on Monday.
“Iran decided to fire bullets yesterday in the Strait of Hormuz — A Total Violation of our Ceasefire Agreement! Many of them were aimed at a French Ship, and a Freighter from the United Kingdom. That wasn’t nice, was it? My Representatives are going to Islamabad, Pakistan — They will be there tomorrow evening, for Negotiations. Iran recently announced that they were closing the Strait, which is strange, because our BLOCKADE has already closed it,” he said in a post on Truth Social.
“They’re helping us without knowing, and they are the ones that lose with the closed passage, $500 Million Dollars a day! The United States loses nothing. In fact, many Ships are headed, right now, to the U.S., Texas, Louisiana, and Alaska, to load up, compliments of the IRGC, always wanting to be ‘the tough guy!’ We’re offering a very fair and reasonable DEAL, and I hope they take it because, if they don’t, the United States is going to knock out every single Power Plant, and every single Bridge, in Iran. NO MORE MR. NICE GUY!” he added.
Trump continued, writing, “They’ll come down fast, they’ll come down easy and, if they don’t take the DEAL, it will be my Honor to do what has to be done, which should have been done to Iran, by other Presidents, for the last 47 years. IT’S TIME FOR THE IRAN KILLING MACHINE TO END!”

EXCERPT: “Intellectual nonsense from elite women is surprisingly commonplace and continues unabated. One need look no further than Meryl Streep’s recent rant that the SAVE Act will disenfranchise married women, Jennifer Siebel Newsom’s practice of changing the pronouns in books when reading to her children, or most anything said by the ladies on The View. Long left unchecked, the West has been living for decades under the tyranny of “infallible females” — women who never get fact-checked, receive push-back, or hear moral correction.
The road to female infallibility started innocently enough, with most believing that feminism was only trying to level the playing field. Things then accelerated quickly. Feminism had a secret weapon: It was kryptonite for men. Given men’s natural disinclination to fight with women, good men simply went silent about women’s lib, while the bad ones “benefitted” from and promoted it. Without any societal restraint, feminists ran amok, eventually saturating the culture with female dominance, entitlement, and self-righteous confidence.
Anyone who grew up watching TV remembers the endless stream of female-targeted sitcoms and commercials emphasizing women’s competence over men: Men couldn’t buy a car, diaper a baby, or clean a kitchen without a woman’s sage supervision. Advertisers knew that portraying women’s faux superiority over men sold cars, toilet paper, and processed foods. The mirage didn’t stop there. Hiring quotas and lowered physical fitness requirements gave the impression that male/female interchangeability could be achieved, paired with flawed and persistent rhetoric about unequal pay and the glass ceiling. #BelieveAllWomen also fortified the notion that women never lie, especially about sexual assault.
Infallible females also significantly affect work environments, particularly through quotas and DEI hiring. Mediocre female employees have been flattered, platformed, and promoted, and the workplace “feminized” — as Helen Andrews has made plain — while femininity was eradicated. The most toxic of women are tolerated for fear that they will take their tale of woe to a deeply sympathetic press or courtroom. The result is that conscientious male and female employees are demoralized, turning the pursuit of excellence into a farce.
Then came the psychological changes. Reason was out; emotions were in. Anything a woman felt gained her access to the prized status of “victim,” easily opened by claims of feeling triggered, offended, or imposed upon. The victim card had the added benefit of dissolving any societal or familial responsibilities. Duties and roles evaporated; emotional whim and self-absorption settled in comfortably.
Zero Resistance
Feminism also hermetically sealed leftist women — and the nominally conservative women who breathe the same fumes — into believing the nobility of their cause. It is a safe space. No one questions your arguments or challenges your convictions. Agreeing with the movement offers an aura of strength, conviction, righteousness, and unassailability. Who could question the movement’s purity?
Meanwhile, the ideological gatekeepers stand at the ready to correct anyone who gets out of line. “You can’t talk about this, you’re a man!” or, “How dare you question feminism? You have a degree!” or, “Feminism is only about helping women. You must hate women!” As regular as rain, these simple phrases keep everyone cozy and safe from dangerous dissenters. And for those who are not quickly silenced, isolation and cancellation are always available.
Entitlement…..”

Jonathan Turley blasts Democrats for their persistent calls for impeachment:
“It’s a very destructive series of pledges that they’re making. It’s part of this age of rage. They’re promising straight revenge, straight retaliation. This is injecting that rage straight into the body of politic and there are many who believe that can carry them back into power…
…This has become a pattern for Democrats, and I cannot express how damaging that is for our constitutional values and history. They’re making impeachment into the English vote of no confidence; that’s not what it is. It is something much more serious than that, but they’re turning it into an unbridled circus.”

Just The News: “FBI Director Kash Patel made good Monday on his vow over the weekend to sue the owners of The Atlantic magazine for what he calls a “sweeping, malicious and defamatory hit piece” in which alleges he abuses alcohol.
Staff writer Sarah Fitzpatrick is also listed as a defendant in the case filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Colombia.
Patel in the 19-page suit also says the Atlantic Monthly Group LLC and Fitzpatrick are “of course free to criticize the leadership of the FBI, but they crossed the legal line by publishing an article replete with false and obviously fabricated allegations designed to destroy” his reputation and drive him from office. He seeks $250 million in damages
The suit also states Fitzpatrick “could not get a single person to go on the record in defense of these outrageous allegations, instead relying entirely on anonymous sources she knew to be both highly partisan with an ax to grind and also not in a position to know the facts.”
The story published Friday cites over two dozen unnamed sources and includes allegations that Patel frequently drinks to the point of conspicuous intoxication and that his security detail has at times struggled to wake him due to apparent inebriation.”

“Well Being: Eat your…Liver”
Dr. Robert W. Malone, Apr 20, 2026
EXCERPT: “So, last night, we were watching a lovely documentary called Alex Polizzi’s Secret Italy on Amazon. The series has a segment on the island of Sardinia, and one interesting fact is how many centenarians live there. However, another interesting fact is that the islanders still eat a lot of organ meat of all types. Nothing is wasted from the animal, and it is all on display in the local markets, where butchers work on site. A far cry from the centralized, industrialized slaughterhouses, where such delicacies are used for pet food. The truth is that organ meat is good for you, and it is a shame that it has fallen out of favor in our so wealthy, we don’t have to eat that shat, nation.
Organ meats, what we used to simply call offal, are among the most nutrient-dense foods available. Not slightly better than muscle meat, but in many cases an order of magnitude richer in key vitamins, minerals, and biologically active compounds. When used intelligently, they can close nutritional gaps that are otherwise very difficult to address through diet alone.
Let’s start with the obvious objection, because everyone thinks it.
“Yes, but the liver filters toxins.”
True. It is a filtration and processing organ. But that does not mean it stores toxins like a sponge sitting under your sink. The liver’s job is to transform, neutralize, and export toxins. It does not warehouse them. Those compounds are either broken down and excreted through bile or urine, or they circulate and are handled elsewhere.
If you are worried about accumulation, fat is a much more likely place for persistent compounds to reside than liver tissue itself. What the liver does store, very efficiently, are nutrients. That is why predators go for it first.
So no, eating liver is not the dietary equivalent of licking a water filter. It’s more like the equivalent of a multi-vitamin.
Why liver deserves a place on the plate
Liver, whether beef or chicken, is arguably the most concentrated nutritional package you can get from an animal…..”

Austria: Turkish woman suspected of €150,000 health fraud after claiming serious illness, only to be found ‘walking normally’ at Vienna Airport after vacation70% of cases of welfare fraud are committed by foreigners in Austria, with many of the crimes outrageous
Last updated: April 20, 2026 By Remix News Staff
EXCERPT: “A Turkish woman claiming “Level 6 care” appeared to be in perfect health during a check at Vienna Airport, leading authorities to believe she was able to “walk normally and without an assistant” in a brazen case of suspected fraud.
According to investigators at Schwechat Airport in Lower Austria, the woman was returning from a holiday home in her native country of Turkey when she “strolled into the control check” during a priority check by the Criminal Investigation Department.
Officers noted that she “showed no walking aids, visible disabilities, or other abnormalities,” which contradicted her official status as someone “seriously ill.” The subsequent investigation revealed that the woman had been receiving a Level 6 care allowance of €1,685.40 month a month in Austria.
Under Austrian law, this level of “aid money is actually reserved for people or caregivers of people who rely on particularly intensive care around the clock and are often no longer able to walk independently.”
Suspicious of her mobility, the welfare fraud task force (SOLBE) initiated a follow-up medical examination. The results confirmed the officers’ doubts: the recipient was “actually perfectly healthy,” leading to the immediate cancellation of her care allowance
The financial impact of this case is significant, with investigators estimating that the woman had, over the course of her fraud, collected €150,000 illegally. As Heute news outlet outlines, this incident highlights a broader trend, as “welfare fraud explodes, and most cases are in Vienna.”
Vienna also happens to have the largest foreign population in Austria, and the country, like many other European countries, is facing billions in costs linked to mass immigration, including social benefits, housing, and education. Notably, nearly all cases of welfare fraud are linked to foreigners, totaling approximately 70 percent…..”

In a lawsuit filed in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit, Patel stated the magazine and Fitzpatrick “published the Article with actual malice, despite being expressly warned, hours before publication, that the central allegations were categorically false,” also “despite having abundant publicly available information contradicting those allegations,” and “despite obvious and fatal defects in their own sourcing.”
The Atlantic article by Fitzpatrick, which cited anonymous sources, claimed Patel allegedly drank in excess and that his colleagues were concerned. At one point, Fitzpatrick wrote that “multiple current officials” and “former officials who have stayed close to him” were concerned about the alleged drinking, also claiming that President Donald Trump is seeking to replace him following the ouster of former Attorney General Pam Bondi.
The lawsuit stated that the defendants’ “conscious decision to ignore the detailed, specific, and substantive refutations in the Pre-Publication Letter, and their refusal to give a reasonable amount of time for the FBI and Director Patel to respond, is among the strongest possible evidence of actual malice.”
According to the lawsuit, his lawyers said that The Atlantic has a “documented, long-running editorial animus” against the FBI director. “Defendants cannot evade responsibility for their malicious lies by hiding behind sham sources,” they added.
The Epoch Times reached out to The Atlantic for comment but did not receive a response by publication time.
Actual malice is a legal standard that requires public figures such as Patel to argue that a publisher knowingly published false information or ignored concerns about its accuracy. The standard, established in a landmark 1964 Supreme Court decision, also effectively holds public officials or figures to a higher standard when they file defamation lawsuits.
In an April 17 post on X, Fitzpatrick defended her reporting and said she spoke with two dozen people who are “familiar with Patel’s conduct” before publishing the story. She also said that in response to “19 detailed questions,” Patel allegedly responded, “Print it, all false. I’ll see you in court – bring your checkbook.”
The magazine’s story was initially titled “Kash Patel’s Erratic Behavior Could Cost Him His Job,“ but it was later changed to ”The FBI Director Is MIA,” according to the complaint.
The Epoch Times could not immediately verify the claims contained within the article or why The Atlantic changed the headline of the report. A spokesperson for The Atlantic defended the article and its reporting in a statement to media outlets. “We stand by our reporting on Kash Patel, and we will vigorously defend The Atlantic and our journalists against this meritless lawsuit,” it said in a statement to media outlets, responding to the lawsuit threat.
Last week, Patel’s lawyer, Jesse Binnall, wrote in a letter to The Atlantic that many claims in the article were false and threatened to sue the publication. Patel also said in a weekend interview with Reuters that he would sue.
Trump himself has filed multiple defamation lawsuits against media outlets, including against CNN, the New York Times, and the Wall Street Journal. Judges have dismissed those lawsuits, although the president has re-filed his complaint against the NY Times.
However, Trump has obtained settlements with others. ABC News agreed to settle a case for $15 million plus $1 million in legal fees in one claim, while Paramount Global agreed to pay $16 million for what the Trump administration called “deceptive editing” of a CBS News interview with his then-2024 opponent, former Vice President Kamala Harris.
The Epoch Times contacted the White House for comment on April 20 but did not receive a response by publication time.”

I do NOT trust Israel!
EXCERPT: “…..Casualty Figures and On-The-Ground Reality Contrast Media Assessments
Since the conflict began on March 3, 2026, Israel has killed 2,294 people and wounded over 7,500 others, according to the Lebanese Health Ministry [3]. These figures contribute to a long-term casualty toll. A report from NaturalNews.com in November 2025 stated that “Despite a November 2024 ceasefire, Israeli airstrikes have killed 127 civilians” in Lebanon [6].
Despite substantial casualties, multiple strikes, and questions about the continuing Israeli occupation of southern Lebanese territory, many major international media outlets have described the ceasefire as “holding,” according to the Antiwar.com report [3]. This creates a divergence between official statements and local reality. The report suggests the agreement may only represent a “10-day semi-pause” of the conflict [3]. This pattern of ceasefire violation is not new. “Israel’s unlawful attacks violate the foundational principles of international law and the United Nations Charter,” stated a report from the Trends Journal [7].
Conclusion: Conflicting Narratives on Ceasefire Integrity Persist
A sharp divergence exists between public ceasefire statements and reports of ongoing military operations. The continuation of strikes minutes after a U.S. presidential prohibition and the reporting of casualties in multiple locations indicate that hostilities have not fully ceased.
Political opposition within Israel and actions on the ground, such as the seizure of territory with no signs of withdrawal, complicate the ceasefire’s stability. The continued strikes and casualties raise immediate questions about the near-term trajectory of the conflict and the efficacy of internationally brokered agreements.”

There it is! This is what the entire situation in Iran has always been about, cleaning up Obama’s mess. Trump is reminding the world that it was the Obama administration who are responsible for Iran’s nuclear program, which they were going to use to start WW3. The main objective of this entire military operation with Iran, is to neutralize this rogue nuclear threat, AND prove to the world that the Obama administration were responsible. This is why Trump wants the enriched uranium. Not just to get it out of Iran’s hands, but to trace the origins of the uranium. Trump is preparing to show the world that Obama and the Dems were responsible for giving Iran nuclear weapons, and thus making them all “unlawful enemy combatants” and enemies of the United States. TREASON!
