I found this great site—15 facts—that lists 15 facts on a variety of subjects. Today’s 15 facts are about Thomas Jefferson (in honor of his birthday—born in 1743 and died July 4, 1826).
From 15funfacts.com:
He popularized macaroni and cheese in the United States. He famously brought a pasta machine back from France to satisfy his craving for the dish.
Thomas Jefferson died on July 4, 1826. Remarkably, this was the exact same day that his friend and rival John Adams passed away.
He kept pet mockingbirds in the White House. He loved the birds so much that he often let them fly freely around his office.
He sold his personal collection of 6,487 books to the government. This massive sale effectively restarted the Library of Congress after the British burned the original one.

Surprisingly, he was obsessed with finding living mastodons. He laid out giant fossil bones in the East Room of the White House for guests to see.
He invented the swivel chair. He modified a regular chair with an iron spindle so he could rotate while he worked at his desk.
Thomas Jefferson stood at a height of 6 feet 2 inches (1.89 meters). Therefore, he towered over most other men of his era.
He wrote his own epitaph but left off his presidency. He wanted to be remembered as the author of the Declaration of Independence instead.
He recorded the weather every single day of his adult life. Thus, historians have a perfect record of the temperature in Virginia for decades.
He spent a fortune on wine. In fact, he once ordered 20,000 bottles from France for his personal cellar.

Thomas Jefferson reportedly broke his wrist while trying to impress a woman. He attempted to jump over a fence in Paris but fell awkwardly.
He wrote down the first known recipe for ice cream in America. Specifically, he created a vanilla custard version that became a favorite at his dinner parties.
He designed a “Great Clock” for his home at Monticello. The weights are so long they have to drop through holes in the floor.
Thomas Jefferson could read and write in six different languages. He mastered Greek, Latin, French, Italian, Spanish, and English.
Finally, he introduced the French fry to America. He served “potatoes fried in the raw” at a White House dinner in 1802.

this is weird ass weather.
I put our seed feeder away for the season yesterday in disgust. We’re not putting out any more deer blocks–because it attracts the bears and they eat them in one night! But apparently that pissed off the woodpecker (male) who was feeding there pretty regularly.
Well yesterday he came to the feeder and pecked once on the table the feeder sits on, so i chased him. he was back several more times, pecking once–like trying to get my attention that there was no block out for him. we brought in the feeder and the table. going to put the table out after after we clean it good and give it a new coat of sealant. (we were going to do that later in the summer, but now is as good a time as any.)

While Swalwell has not resigned from Congress, the deadline to file to run in his Congressional district was March 6.
He will not be on the ballot. His career in Congress is likely over.
His problem is that Calif has all of its statewide office elections the same year, and they all have 4 year terms.
There is no other office he can run for in 2 years.
His political career may now be over.

“To my family, staff, friends, and supporters, I am deeply sorry for mistakes in judgment I’ve made in my past,” Swalwell wrote in his X account. “I will fight the serious, false allegations that have been made — but that’s my fight, not a campaign’s,” he added.
His decision came after numerous prominent Democrats urged him to drop from the race after the allegations surfaced.
Many of his endorsements were pulled back as well.”

Remember the Democrats got what they wanted. Swalwell out. This will increase the top two Democrats percentage points and eventually votes in the first primary above the Republican candidates. That means two Democrats and no Republicans in the runoff election.
Steve Hilton — ~16–17%
Chad Bianco — ~14–16%
Swalwell and the other two were all tied about 15% even if they split Swalwell’s 15% that puts them at 22.5%. Unless one Republican drops out a Democratic win is now almost assured.
If Bianco selflessly drops out that would put Hilton over 30% and give the Republicans the better chance (with no other cheating).
That would put a Democrat and Republican head to head in the runoff election.

Lorenzo Garcia, boyfriend of Paige Ostroushko, the same Paige who recently assaulted and battered @Savsays, is an active-duty Marine running this GoFundMe.
He’s begging for money because ICE detained his dad while he was at Marine boot camp at Camp Pendleton.
He lays out the whole sob story about his mom struggling, his siblings, the financial mess, and how hard it’s all been. Then he brags about going to Whipple protests, No Kings protests, Iran protests, and every other anti-ICE demonstration he can find.
He even did an open mic at Whipple to tell his story.
And right at the end he signs off with “F**K ICE.”
An active-duty United States Marine is using his service, his boot camp experience, and his uniform to solicit donations while publicly attacking a federal law enforcement agency and standing shoulder to shoulder with the same radical left crowd whose daughter just assaulted an American woman on video.
@SecWar Hegseth, this is completely unacceptable. We cannot have Marines out here trashing ICE, aligning with domestic terrorists who assault citizens, and then turning around and using their military status to beg for cash.
Please address this issue.

Sneako chants “Khaybar Khaybar Ya Yahud” in New York City. Gangs of young Muslim men immediately join in with screams of “TAKBIR – ALLAHU AKBAR.” The Bali Bomber terrorist Amrozi sung this chant as he was sentenced to death in Indonesia for killing hundreds of Australians. It references a massacre of Jews in early Islamic history: “Khaybar, Khaybar, Oh Jews! The army of Muhammad will return!” Every single person in this video needs to be immediately deported. Pretty

EXCERPT: “Years after a 2019 impeachment furor aimed at President Donald Trump, new facts have slowly emerged about the alleged whistleblower whose complaint sparked the Democrat-led effort, including through emails, testimony, and newly-declassified memos which shine a light on the true origins of the saga.
Memos declassified by Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard at the request of Just the News investigators for the intelligence community inspector general who first handled the CIA analyst’s complaint flagged him for having a “potential for bias,” elicited an apology from him for misleading the probe about his prior contact with staffers on the Democrat-led House Intelligence Committee, criticized GOP congressmen, asked to hide his complaint from Republicans on the committee, and more.
The watchdog’s investigators were also acutely aware the whistle-blower’s allegations were based solely on second-hand or third-hand accounts about what Trump was alleged to have done and had worked on his whistle-blower efforts with a witness whose name was redacted and who told investigators that he was connected to disgraced FBI agent Peter Strzok and that he had co-authored the flawed intelligence community assessment on alleged Russian meddling in 2016.
The new memos also laid out multiple potential biases tied to Eric Ciaramella’s Democratic registration, his work for Joe Biden, his knowledge of corruption-related discussions on Ukraine, his view that he had been pushed out of the Trump National Security Council (NSC) because of “right wing bloggers,” and more — some of which were never made public……”

EXCERPT: “It’s rough these days in Uganda’s Kibale National Park, the battleground of a chimpanzee feud that scientists liken to a human civil war.
The mob violence, anthropologist say, is shocking. In some cases, several aggressors will corner an enemy male chimp, hold him down, beat him, bite him, drag him, then “rip off his testicles.”
All things considered, the castrated ape still had a better weekend than Eric Swalwell. Mr. Russia collusion hoaxer has met his political match: his moral turpitude.
On Sunday evening, the far-left California congressman announced he was suspending his campaign for governor following explosive accusations of sexual misconduct from former staffers…..”
“…..Things could get a whole lot worse for the Democrat. CBS News reports that Manhattan prosecutors are investigating Swalwell’s alleged misconduct. They want to talk to his accusers.
“Our specially trained prosecutors, investigators, and counselors are well-equipped to help [them] in a trauma-informed, survivor-centered manner,” a spokesperson said in a statement to CBS.
The same office that was weaponized against Trump is now training its fire on a fellow Democrat. The same people who have long applauded Eric Swalwell for being a good progressive a defender of women are now eating their words.
It seems these days the hypocrite congressman would be safer in the middle of a chimpanzee civil war.”

Just The News: “CIA Director John Ratcliffe played a key role in Congress defending President Donald Trump during the 2019 Ukraine-themed impeachment and his agency declared Monday newly declassified evidence about the credibility and political bias of the chief accuser proved the proceedings were deeply flawed.
“As Director Ratcliffe made clear as a member of President Trump’s impeachment advisory team in 2019, this impeachment was entirely baseless, unfounded, and brought in politically-motivated bad faith,” CIA Director of Public of Affairs Liz Lyons said in a statement to Just the News.
The Agency’s rare statement came hours after Just the News reported memos declassified by Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard revealed derogatory evidence about the CIA analyst whose complaint prompted the impeachment was withheld from the American people.
Those memos show the U.S. intelligence watchdog developed derogatory evidence about the CIA analyst, including that he submitted false information in his whistleblower complaint, offered hearsay to support his allegations and had the “potential for bias.”
Investigators for the Intelligence Community Inspector General documented several concerns about the Trump accuser’s political motives, noting he admitted he was a “registered Democrat” who had worked closely with Joe Biden on Ukraine issues and who disliked some of the conservative figures in the president’s orbit, the memos show.
The investigators also elicited an apology from the Trump accuser for misleading the probe and were acutely aware his allegations were based solely on second- and third-hand accounts about what Trump was alleged to have said and done.
“I do not have direct knowledge of private comments or communications by the President,” the alleged whistleblower, who claimed Trump improperly tried to pressure Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to investigate Hunter Biden, admitted in his initial August 2019 intake form.”

This, after a senior official at NASA recently said that investigating the existence of alien life “goes to the heart of many things that we do at NASA,” suggesting a “pretty high” chance that extraterrestrial life exists. In New Jersey, there have been 3,083 reported sightings, which works out to 419.3 sightings per 1,000 square miles, the second-highest density in the country.
The only state that ranked higher than us was Rhode Island, with 616.1 sightings per square mile. Whereas Alaska sits pretty at the bottom of the list, with only 1.2 sightings per square mile. I guess the aliens aren’t too fond of the cold. I get it.“

“The Blockade on Hormuz Is the Right Move, And Iran Will Break First: Tehran does not have time on its side.”
Jordan Schachtel, Apr 13, 2026
EXCERPT: “President Trump is turning the tables on Iran’s economic warfare via its thievery racket in the Strait of Hormuz.
U.S. naval forces have officially begun enforcing a blockade on all maritime traffic entering and exiting Iranian ports in the Strait of Hormuz. The move follows the collapse of marathon peace talks in Islamabad, where Vice President JD Vance reported that the Iranians “chose not to accept our terms.” Iran’s response, for those who follow the regime closely, was rather predictable: bluster, threats, and a parliamentary spokesman posting a map of American gas prices near the White House with the taunt: “Enjoy the current pump figures.”
The critics are already out in force. They’ll cite $100+-a-barrel oil, rising inflation, pain at the pump. They’re not entirely wrong. There will be temporary pain. But the question about this strategy’s success comes down to who breaks first. And on that question, the answer is rather certain: Iran will.
The numbers tell the story. Geopolitical Analyst Miad Maleki, a senior fellow at the Foundation for the Defense of Democracies, laid out the arithmetic this weekend: a U.S. naval blockade imposes approximately $435 million per day in combined economic damage on Iran — $276 million in lost exports, $159 million in choked imports. That’s $13 billion a month, drawn from a regime already struggling to make payroll.
As Maleki points out, over 90 percent of Iran’s $109.7 billion in annual trade transits the Persian Gulf. Oil and gas account for 80 percent of government export earnings and nearly a quarter of GDP. Kharg Island alone — which handles 92 percent of Iran’s crude exports — generates approximately $78 billion a year in energy revenue. All of it sits inside the blockade zone.
Iran’s much-touted bypass, the Jask terminal, is largely a paper facility. Only ten of its twenty planned storage tanks were built, leaving effective throughput at around 70,000 barrels per day against a design capacity of one million. There is no meaningful escape route. Iran holds roughly 50-55 million barrels of onshore storage, and at a production surplus of 1.5 million barrels per day, available storage fills in approximately 13 days. After that, Iran must begin shutting in wells, which will cause permanent reservoir damage that cannot be quickly reversed even if a deal is struck.
Iran’s rial has collapsed from roughly 42,000 per dollar to over 1.5 million — wiping out the savings and purchasing power of ordinary Iranians. The central bank recently resorted to printing a 10 million rial note just weeks after introducing the 5 million rial note. Official inflation runs at 47.5 percent. Food inflation hit 105 percent by February. Rice prices are reportedly up sevenfold….”

I signed up for the annual service program where they would come out w/in 2 hours for the appliances covered – I cover the fridge, A/C and furnace. And that was any day of the week, any hour. Now, they don’t have service people on the week-ends anymore and the company they contracted with will only come out if the temp is under 32. Even then they won’t guarantee same-day service. (Washington, DC) – Judicial Watch announced today that 372,000 ineligible voter names have been removed from Colorado’s voter registration lists following a Judicial Watch lawsuit and legal settlement addressing the state’s compliance with federal voter list maintenance requirements.
Under the National Voter Registration Act of 1993 (NVRA), states must take reasonable steps to remove ineligible voters—such as those who have died, moved, or become inactive—while protecting eligible voters’ rights.
Judicial Watch filed the Colorado federal lawsuit to clean the voter rolls in 2020 on behalf of itself and three residents of Colorado. (Judicial Watch, Inc. v. Griswold, et al.(No. 20-cv-02992)).
In March 2023, Colorado’s secretary of state agreed to settle the lawsuit and has confirmed to Judicial Watch that since 2023 the state removed 372,000 ineligible voters from the state’s voter registration lists.

“What we see here is the sinking of the “Preussen,” one of the largest and most powerful sailing ships of her time. In November 1910, she was driven against the cliffs in a violent storm off the coast of Dover. The waves lashed, the wind raged – and even a steel giant like the Preussen stood no chance.
Three men in long coats and top hats stand stunned at the edge of the cliff, witnessing a battle that the sea ultimately won. You can almost feel the icy cold, the howling of the wind, the crash of the shattering planks.
This image reminds us how small we sometimes are – even with all our knowledge, all our technology. And yet it also shows our curiosity, our will to observe, to understand, not to look away. The “Preussen” is long gone – but its history lives on in this impressive moment, frozen in the storm of time.”

Brescia imam: “In our Islam, after age 9, a girl becomes a woman.”
An “Italian” imam named Ali Kashif went on TV and announced that girls who have reached nine years of age may be considered women, and are appropriate marriage material. The Italian government reacted in an sensible manner and expelled him from the country, putting him on a flight to his native Pakistan.
These words, spoken by the Brescia imam Ali Kashif into the microphones of the program “Out of the box”, have earned him expulsion from the country. It was the Interior Minister Matteo Piantedosi who made the notification.
Subsequent to the expulsion order, he was placed on a flight from Milan’s Malpensa Airport and sent back to his country of origin.”Originally from Pakistan, Kashif had emphasized the legitimacy, according to the Koran, of marriage with young girls: “
The Islamic religion says that if the parents are happy and both are in agreement, they can marry even at the age of 9. In our Islam, after 9 years, a girl becomes an adult. In the Koran, it says that it can be done.”
The order was carried out by the police headquarters of Brescia on the instruction of the Ministry of Interior, which made the decision, citing reasons of security, the lack of a residence permit of the person in question, and his incompatibility with constitutional values.
From Fratelli d’Italia [Brothers of Italy, the party of Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni], Member of Parliament Riccardo De Corato expressed “full support for the measure” in the face of “very serious statements”, to which the State must react “with firmness and without any hesitation”. And he added:
“Whoever thinks they can, in our country, justify barbaric practices, contrary to the dignity of the individual, the rights of minors, and fundamental principles of our legal system, needs to know that in Italy there is no room for fanaticism, for extremism, and for whoever disseminates messages incompatible with our legal system.

Foreign aid will now go straight to national governments — no more routing billions through NGOs.
This cuts out the middlemen who’ve turned taxpayer dollars into their own bloated business model.
Effect on NGOs: Many will see their funding evaporate overnight. Expect mass layoffs, shrinking budgets, and some outfits shutting down entirely.
The entire aid-industrial complex just took a body blow — no more endless grift.
America First is finally hitting the middlemen where it hurts.

“They really think Trump has no clue what’s going on, when in reality, he now controls the flow of 36%+ of the world’s crude oil supply, and just forced the nations of the world to buy oil from us, and Venezuela, which Trump conveniently already secured, along with the Panama Canal.
Now Trump’s focus on Greenland, Canada, and the Arctic shipping routes, makes even more sense. Trump is securing global shipping lanes, and turning the US into THE global energy superpower.
Trump has China, and the world, by the balls, and the sheep are oblivious. Trump is completely shaking up the global order, and forcing the world to deal through us. Trump is stripping the Deep State of their leverage, and securing the entire board.
You are watching the “world’s most powerful reset,” and the dawning of “The Golden Age.” The Deep State’s reign is over. They have been outmaneuvered. Trump controls the oil, therefore, he controls the world.
Leverage obtain✅”

The sharpest Iran economic analysis out there right now comes from
@miadmaleki
, Iranian-born former US Treasury official. 13 days. That’s when Iran shuts off its own oil wells. Hormuz blockade = nowhere to store oil. Can’t restart them easily. Permanent damage. Not a crisis. A countdown.

Esha @EshaAA33 https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/17.0.2/svg/1f6a8.svgBREAKING: https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/17.0.2/svg/1f6a8.svg ILHAN OMAR, MARK KELLY CAUGHT ON TAPE WITH IRANIANS REVEALING US WAR PLANS, ROUTE OF DOWNED FIGHTER JETS – Radical Islamic Democrat Congresswoman Ilhan Omar of Minnesota and Senator Mark Kelly of Arizona allegedly played THE CENTRAL ROLE in AIDING AND ABETTING THE ENEMY by leaking to them the anticipated routes of the two fighter jets that were shot down by the Iranians last weekend. They are also accused of LEAKING to the press the fact that one of the US servicemen was still missing so that the Iranians would know to look for him, in hopes that they would find and capture him as a prisoner of war. This is one of the GREATEST ACTS OF TREASON in American history and makes Benedict Arnold look like a patriot… ARREST THESE TERRORISTS NOW!
