I found a good article on the Almanac website with tips on how to gently wake up your garden this spring.
From: Almanac:
Spring may be calling, but in many parts of the country—especially cooler regions—it’s important not to rush the season. Early spring gardening is all about taking a gentle approach, allowing soil to dry, plants to wake naturally, and beneficial insects to emerge safely. After seeing gardens already in full bloom in warmer climates, it can be tempting to dive right in, but patience pays off. These early spring gardening tasks will help you clean up winter’s leftovers, protect tender growth, and prepare your garden for a healthy, productive growing season—without doing more harm than good.
Early Spring Gardening Chores
Wait for the right conditions: Avoid walking on soggy soil, which can compact and damage plant roots. If you must enter wet areas, use stepping stones or boards.
Correct frost damage: Gently press frost-heaved plants back into the soil to protect roots.
Preserve beneficial insects: Delay leaf and debris removal until temperatures consistently reach 50°F or higher. Many insects overwinter in garden debris.
Pick up winter debris: Start by gathering fallen branches and sticks, giving you a clear view of how plants survived the winter.
Rake carefully: Begin with early bloomers so they can poke through the soil without damage.

Prune and clip: Remove old leaves from hellebores and epimediums. Cut back ornamental grasses before new growth begins, leaving 8–12 inches above the crown. Remove broken rose canes. Wait to prune spring-blooming shrubs until after flowering.
Divide overgrown perennials: Early spring is ideal for dividing and moving perennials before buds and leaves emerge.
Weed control: Remove early weeds before they get established—they are easier to manage now.
Soil testing: Test your soil in early spring to determine which amendments are needed before planting.
Early vegetable planting: Cold-hardy crops like peas, lettuce, spinach, radishes, carrots, beets, and chard can be planted once the soil is ready. Use local planting guides or check soil temperature (e.g., peas need at least 45°F to germinate).
Pot summer bulbs: Give begonias and other summer-flowering bulbs a head start indoors or in protected areas.

By following these early spring gardening tips, you’ll protect your plants, soil, and beneficial insects while setting yourself up for a productive and beautiful garden all season long.
Frequently Asked Questions
When is the best time to start spring garden cleanup?
Wait until soil is no longer soggy and daytime temperatures consistently reach 50°F or higher. This protects plants and overwintering insects.
Why shouldn’t I clean up leaves and debris too early?
Many beneficial insects overwinter in garden debris. Early cleanup can harm these important pollinators and pest controllers.
Can I plant vegetables in early spring?
Yes! Cold-hardy crops like peas, spinach, lettuce, radishes, carrots, beets, and chard can be planted once soil temperatures are appropriate.
Should I prune my shrubs and perennials now?
Remove broken branches and old leaves. Wait to prune spring-blooming shrubs until after flowering. Ornamental grasses should be cut before new growth emerges.
Is early spring a good time to divide perennials?
Yes. Dividing perennials before buds and leaves emerge minimizes stress on the plants and encourages healthy growth.
Should I test my soil in early spring?
Yes, testing now gives you guidance on which amendments to add before planting, ensuring optimal growth.

Good morning, Gina! I was just thinking yesterday about clearing my flower beds – Pat’s post for today is certainly timely! I’ll wait a bit yet, I think. That sucks about your son’s job! Hope he is able to find something else quickly. Is your son on his own with your grandson? No DIL in the picture?

I usually only plant a few things–tomatoes, peppers and zucchini and last year the chipmunks snapped off my zucchini while they were 2 inches long. sigh. the year before i had great ones–froze grated zucchini to make bread all year long. One year we tried a watermelon, but the sunlight isn’t hot and long enough in the spot where the garden is. we got three softball sized melons that never ripened.
I usually plant flowers around the outer edge (but still inside the fence) because any flower planted outside the fence, the deer eat.
it’s a struggle here, but i keep trying.
wait till Filly posts about her stuff!

Sen. Ron Johnson Says ‘One-And-Done’ Floor Vote For SAVE America Act Would Be ‘Disastrous’
‘We ignore our base at our own peril, and we don’t want to dispirit our base. And right now, that’s kind of the path we’re going on,’ he said.
Invoking cloture is one way to break the filibuster, and moving forward in the way Thune intends to is commonly known as “failure theater,” meaning GOP senators are “not going to make Democrats do anything other than show up and vote no. Then they’ll throw up their hands, pretend to be upset, and say they’ve tried nothing and are all out of ideas,” as The Federalist’s CEO Sean Davis pointed out
https://www.conservativereview.com/sen-ron-johnson-says-one-and-done-floor-vote-for-save-america-act-would-be-disastrous-2676085634.html
SAVE ACT: Cornyn promised to change Senate cloture rules this morning to pass the Save America Act. By lunch he broke the promise. The cloture rule change would have also allowed the GOP to restore pay for 100,000 Coast Guard members, TSA, and Secret Service Agents. Instead he’s headed back to Texas to raise more money for his unwinnable campaign.

We had a good thing, Britain. A really good thing.
You taught us this game. Mahan studied you. We just wrote bigger checks. The deal was simple. We spend the trillions. Fight the hard wars. We even let you sit out Vietnam.
And you? You hold the chokepoints you already own. You run Lloyd’s. Ships in the narrows, insurance on the hulls. That’s all you had to do and we would back your interests with the strongest military and financial markets in the world.
That was the deal. Now look at you.
You gave up Aden. Fine. You kept Diego Garcia so we could reach it with bombers. Now you’re giving that away too. To a Chinese client state.
You built Israel to guard Suez. Now your Foreign Secretary threatens to arrest their PM.
You built a base nearby to back it up. Iran hit your base in Cyprus.
You didn’t have one warship in the Mediterranean. Spain got there first. Spain.
You gave up Hong Kong but backed Taiwan. Now you’re letting China build the largest embassy in Europe on top of London’s fiber-optic cables.
We gave you Five Eyes. You gave Beijing a SIGINT platform in the heart of the City.
Gibraltar. Three hundred years. Actual sieges. Now the Spanish run your border checks.
You lost South Africa but kept the Falklands so we can overfly the Magellan Strait. Argentina could probably take that with rowboats today.
Your king kept ownership of the Canadian, Australian and New Zealand navies to fill the gaps.
Those navies are now a laughing stock.
Your warships and bombers patrolled the GIUK gap.
Now you don’t have enough but you also don’t want us buying Greenland.
Fine. You do it. With what?
We gave London the @IMOHQ to regulate shipping, you backed the EU agenda to carbon tax every ship to build woke UN slush fund.
Iran closed Hormuz. In the ‘80s, 540 ships got hit.
Lloyd’s never blinked. Because your navy was there. Now Lloyd’s cancels.
Because it isn’t. You scrapped your only amphibious ships. Sold them. To Brazil.
You have more admirals than warships. You built two light carriers but they keep springing leaks and you don’t have enough escort ships to support them.
The English Channel:
Stopped Napoleon.
Stopped Hitler.
Now you can’t stop rubber dinghies.
You had one job. Have the warships, diplomatic backbone and insurance to support shipping through the straits.
That’s it. That’s all we asked. And you blew it.
Chokepoint by chokepoint.
Called it progress. Now hundreds of ships are stuck in the Persian Gulf and the world is blaming us.
But that’s ok.
All those solar panels you bought from China will keep you warm in that dreary weather I guess.

Oregon has passed the same destructive tax policies as California
Hours After Democrat-run WA Passes Wealth Tax, Former Starbucks CEO Flees to FL
https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2026/03/11/nolte-hours-after-democrat-run-wa-passes-wealth-tax-former-starbucks-ceo-flees-to-fl/
On Tuesday, the Democrat-run State of Washington passed a massive wealth tax. Hours later, former Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz announced his move to Republican-run Florida.
“Following a 24-hour debate, the Washington State House passed Senate Bill 6346, a tax on people earning more than $1 million per year, by a vote of 51-46,” reports Forbes. “The tax would apply beginning in 2028, with the first payments due in 2029.”
But again, Starbucks is beyond guilty of fostering a cultural and political environment that led to far-leftists taking over the government, which, in turn, made living and doing business in Seattle and Washington State dangerous and expensive.
Democrats like Howard Schultz are political locusts. They destroy everything and then move to Florida and Tennessee, dragging their fascist politics behind them, hoping to destroy those places.

Another day, another spectacularly horrific Black-on-White murder that no one hears about, that would be the number one story in the world if it were White-on-anyone-else.
On February 13, Black 21-year-old Alexander Lamar Banks was driving around, admittedly looking for people to kill, when he spotted a White mom and dad, out for an evening walk, pulling their 3-year-old daughter in a pink wagon in Delta Township, Michigan (77% White, 11% Black). That’s when Banks targeted them, accelerating his car in their direction, driving off the road, and smashing through the White family.
Banks then exited the vehicle, retrieved a shotgun, and fired multiple rounds, hitting all three family members and killing 3-year-old Harlow Smith. He reloaded the weapon before approaching Harlow’s dad and shooting him again at close range.
Banks punched the White father in the face and beat him with the shotgun. He then grabbed the White mother by the hair, twisting her head and trying to break her neck when she attempted to intervene.
A 72-year-old White woman named Barb Cook saw what was happening and ran toward the murder scene to try to help the family. With his gun empty, Banks smashed 72-year-old Barb repeatedly in the head with it. He hit her with such force that her hair and flesh were later recovered from the muzzle. After beating Barb, Banks dropped the gun and fled.
37-year-old dad Cameron Smith, 33-year-old mom Paige Smith, and 72-year-old Barb Cook all survived the encounter that claimed young Harlow’s life. Barb Cook required brain surgery and facial reconstruction, and went into a coma (as of the most recent update, she remains in that coma).
Now, we wait to see how easy the system goes on Alexander Lamar Banks when it’s inevitably determined that he was “not in the right state of mind” and has the IQ of speed bump.
To recap, a Black psychopath quite literally hunted a White family, in public, in the light of day, running them down with his vehicle before shooting them repeatedly and savagely beating them in someone’s front yard, killing a 3-year-old, then bludgeoning an unrelated 72-year-old grandma into a coma, and virtually no one knows, or will ever know, that any of this happened.
But everyone on Earth knows that a White girl said a magic word on a Minnesota playground last year.

A crime so horrific, I could not believe it was even true, but it is.
Of course, nothing in the mainstream media
On Feb 13, 2026, in Delta Township, MI, 21yo Alexander Lamar Banks Jr. allegedly drove into the Smith family (Cameron 37, Paige 33 & their 3yo daughter Harlow in a pink wagon) on an evening walk near Green Meadows Dr. He then exited with a shotgun, fired multiple times killing Harlow, shot the parents, punched Cameron & tried to break Paige’s neck. 72yo Barb Cook intervened & was beaten with the gun, suffering critical injuries. Banks told police online threats made him “have to kill someone to save his family.” Charged with 1st-degree premeditated murder, 3x assault w/ intent to murder & weapons felonies (10 total).

EXCERPT: “The former FBI agent who ran the bureau’s warrantless spying program said this week that he personally witnessed the director and other senior officials recruiting agents based on political leanings, not qualifications, during Director James Comey’s tenure.
Bassem Youssef, a retired special agent who ran the FBI’s Communications Analysis Unit from late 2004 until his retirement in late 2014, also says he warned senior officials about the potential for civil liberties abuses in the surveillance program that he oversaw, but said neither Comey nor the White House took his warnings seriously.
FBI’s improper — possibly illegal — snooping
The FBI’s surveillance practices have been back under a microscope in recent months. FBI records released by Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, last year showed the bureau snooped on phone records of Republican elected officials as part of its investigation into Jan. 6.
Just the News also reported in February that the Government Accountability Office assessed that the FBI opened 1,200 probes related to politicians, journalists, religious leaders, academics and others tied to “sensitive investigative matters,” using a special investigative tool that required no factual predicate to launch. The vast majority of those probes were closed without accusations of wrongdoing or criminal charges against those targets being scrutinized.
Youssef told the Just the News, No Noise TV show on Tuesday that he believes the failure of the bureau to learn from past intelligence collection mistakes, like in the Trump-Russia probe whose underlying allegations were later discredited, is because FBI leadership had begun to hire employees based on political leanings rather than merit or capability.
Comey’s “soft recruitment of people of like mind”
“When I worked in the bureau, in field offices, and then eventually at FBI Headquarters, where I oversaw the Communications Analysis Unit that there was already a process where you could see that from the highest levels of the FBI, meaning the director’s office and the executive assistant, directors that there is a soft recruitment of people of like mind that didn’t necessarily meet the requirements for the job, but they were recruited because of their leaning, which was, in fact, very politically motivated,” Youssef said.
Just the News reported this week that President Trump and his supporters were targeted by four consecutive FBI code-named counterintelligence investigations over the last decade that subjected hundreds of Americans to privacy-invading tactics and essentially treated the man twice elected president as a national security threat for most of the first nine years of his political career…..”

Just The News: “The First Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals lifted a block Wednesday on a lower court ruling that prevented the Trump administration from deporting illegal migrants to “third countries” that are willing to accept them.
The Trump administration had appealed U.S. District Judge Brian Murphy’s ruling last week, after he ruled in February that the Department of Homeland Security’s deportation policy was unlawful and violates due process protections under the U.S. Constitution.
The administration argued Murphy’s order violated two previous Supreme Court rulings and created an “unworkable scheme” that threatened to derail negotiations with other countries, along with thousands of deportations, per Fox News.
One of the rulings the administration argued it infringed on was the Supreme Court’s order that narrowed the scope of specific injunctions and urged lower court judges to be more conservative in their issuance.
The ruling, which is still expected to be taken to the nation’s highest court, comes just before Murphy’s ruling was expected to take effect on Thursday.”

Just The News: “House Oversight Chairman James Comer said Wednesday that Jeffrey Epstein’s long-time accountant Richard Kahn testified to his panel that he never saw a transaction between Epstein and President Donald Trump.
Kahn was Epstein’s accountant for more than 10 years and became an executor of his estate after his death, CBS News reported. Kahn was one of Epstein’s closest associates in his final years, as he managed the disgraced financier’s investments, finances and other matters, such as renovations on his private island.
Comer said Kahn did not see any interactions with Trump or his family but that Epstein was a financial adviser for ex-Victoria’s Secret CEO Les Wexner, hedge fund manager Glenn Dubin, businessman Steven Sinofsky, the Rothschilds and investor Leon Black. Kahn said he saw large transactions with those five clients.
“Mr. Kahn testified under oath that — because the Democrats asked this question — that he had never seen any type of transaction to Trump or anyone in his family,” Comer told reporters. “That makes the fifth witness now that’s testified under oath that they’ve never seen any involvement by Donald Trump or the family.”
Comer previously claimed that former President Bill Clinton, former Attorney General William Barr and former Labor Secretary Alex Acosta have also said they have seen no evidence linking Trump to Epstein’s criminal activities.”

“Tragedy: New Ayatollah Dead After Being Accidentally Left Out In Rain”
World · Mar 11, 2026 · BabylonBee.com
TEHRAN — The newly-minted Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei tragically died this morning after being accidentally left out in the rain.
As an unseasonal rainstorm blew through Tehran, horrified Iranian officials suddenly realized they had left Khamenei still propped up outside. They rushed to his side, only to discover his body already crumpled and his head completely separated from his body.
“We were too late,” sobbed Iranian government aide Farid Asadi. “Our poor Ayatollah, all soggy and torn. Life is so fragile, you know? Israel claims another life. Darn you, Jews and your weather machine!”
According to government sources, officials are planning to upgrade the next Ayatollah to a wax figure. “We tried papier-mâché, but that Ayatollah met a terrible end when they tried to give him a bath,” explained Asadi. “There are those ‘Louis Toussad’s Wax Museum’ places, those people last for years. With ‘Wax Khamenei’ at the helm, we will finally be prepared to destroy the Great Satan once and for all!”
At publishing time, “Wax Khamenei” had sadly melted after a bizarre heat wave struck Tehran. IDF soldiers were later photographed high-fiving as they retrieved their Jewish weather-control machine.

Mississippi regulators Tuesday approved a plan by Elon Musk’s xAI to build a power plant at a facility in the town of Southhaven, which will provide the electricity for the company’s nearby data centers. The power plant will contain 41 natural-gas turbines.
Civil rights and environmental organizations, including the NAACP, opposed the plan, claiming the emissions will harm residents, CNBC reported. The Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality said the draft permit met all the legal and technical requirements for approval.
Data centers across the U.S. have turned to natural gas to provide power, and many new facilities are building their own power plants, as the grid is unable to scale up its supply of electricity fast enough to meet the demand.”

In February 2021, DC Chief Judge Beryl Howell created guidance for how DC judges could determine pretrial detention for J6ers—U.S. citizens.
Known as the “Chrestman rules,” named after a J6er allegedly tied to the Oath Keepers, Howell established 6 factors for judges to consider before granting Biden DOJ’s pretrial detention motions. Those factors included “pre-planning” to attend the protest and language used by the defendant.
That framework helped keep nonviolent protesters in jail for an indefinite amount of time—until a trial could be held, conviction secured, and sentence imposed.
It was the first time an entire set of unknown defendants—let alone political protesters—were subject to special rules that didn’t apply to anyone else.

EXCERPT: “Sen. Josh Hawley is introducing legislation to ban the most popular abortion drug on the market and give survivors a legal remedy against foreign abortion pill makers.
Mifepristone, the drug responsible for a majority of the nation’s abortions, poses a deadly and dangerous risk to unborn babies and is dangerous to women, especially when ingested unsupervised. Yet, under the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s current regulations, the abortion pill can be ordered online and taken at home without any in-person medical oversight.
“It’s time for Congress to take action. We’ve known for years that mifepristone is risky, but it’s really just in the last few years that we’ve learned that this drug is inherently dangerous and it is inherently prone to abuse,” Hawley said at a press conference on Wednesday afternoon.
The bill also targets the “greedy foreign corporations” Hawley said are making “billions of dollars in profits by endangering women’s health and shipping to them a drug that they know is dangerous.”
“They do it anyway because profit for them comes before people,” Hawley said, noting that “most of the websites, or many of them, where you can go to order this drug are hosted overseas, many of the drugs are mailed in from overseas, many of them are manufactured overseas.”
Abortion pill maker Danco Laboratories Inc., Hawley said, started with “the sole purpose of manufacturing mifepristone and introducing it into the United States” and was incorporated in the Cayman Islands to “avoid American liability,” “the American court system,” and “transparency.”
With the help of Democrat administrations, Danco’s mifepristone was distributed stateside beginning in 2000 and became “almost wholly unregulated” in less than 25 years, Hawley said: “They advocated at every turn…to reduce the safety protocols to remove all of the guardrails. Why? So that they could make more money.”
The rollback of FDA safeguards, Hawley added, was “by design by liberal administrations seeking to overrule the voters” and has caused countless babies and women harm…..”

“Trump DOJ Is Finally Taking On The Corrupt DC Bar Association — Federal lawyers cannot be held hostage by a lawfare apparatus that threatens their destruction for daring to represent GOP administrations.”
By: Ben Weingarten, March 12, 2026
EXCERPT: “On Tuesday, word came that the legal disciplinary authority in Washington, D.C., was charging U.S. Pardon Attorney Ed Martin with ethics violations, kicking off proceedings that could result in penalties up to and including disbarment.
In so doing, it might have just helped make the case for the action the Trump Justice Department recently initiated to begin to combat the weaponization of such bar disciplinary tribunals — namely, against conservatives.
The D.C. Board on Professional Responsibility alleges that while serving as U.S. attorney last year, Martin — a conservative stalwart long loathed by the left — violated local rules of legal conduct in probing Georgetown Law School for its alleged continued promotion of DEI in its curriculum, and refusing to hire those affiliated with the school until it purged DEI accordingly.
“Lawfare/Barfare is alive & well,” said Jeff Clark, the recently departed chief Trump administration regulatory officer. “Apparently, DC’s Disciplinary Counsel cares not that 1) DEI is an unconstitutional violation of equal protection of the laws; & 2) the President had issued an executive order banning it if an institution takes federal money. Blatantly political.”
Martin himself had questioned that very Disciplinary Counsel, Hamilton P. Fox III, the former head of the D.C. Board on Professional Responsibility, about whether his tribunal was operating politically in correspondence from February 2025. Martin wrote a letter to Fox then, suggesting that the Democrat-dominated panel might be targeting those with opposing viewpoints with unmerited ethics probes and seeking information to ascertain whether it was true.
He would cite the D.C. Board’s pursuit of a former Trump I Justice Department official — one who would face years of Kafkaesque proceedings over his own alleged ethics violations in faithfully serving the president in connection with the 2020 election challenge. That official was none other than Jeffrey Clark.
These are but two of the myriad, often dubious, and historically unsuccessful but nevertheless crippling complaints brought against conservative lawyers, typically by the left’s lawfare apparatus, before like-minded state and local disciplinary authorities across the country — a practice, “Barfare,” about which I reported last fall for RealClearInvestigations. By making life hell for conservative counselors by hitting them with such complaints, the idea is to pick such legal talent off the playing field — while spooking others who might otherwise enter it — and thereby eliminate the left’s legal opposition…..”

Given all the Congressional pontificating used to continuously re-approve the Patriot Act, the President should publicly invoke the Act … then declare that DHS can be funded out of the Department of War as part of that action due to Agents supporting Iran threatening our shores.
It will be interesting to hear the screeching of the Congress Creatures over it’s use.
Since the Patriot Act is exists and Congress is so adamant about preserving it … may as well use it for it’s original intent of preventing foreign attacks on US Soil.

“Pasty butt in baby chicks is a condition where droppings stick to the vent area (the opening of the cloaca beneath the tail), dry, and harden, potentially blocking the chick’s ability to defecate. If left untreated, it can be fatal within hours due to waste buildup and toxicity. Causes
High humidity or unclean brooder: Promotes bacterial growth and damp bedding.
Stress from shipping, hatching in an incubator, or poor brooder conditions.
Improper temperature: Chicks too cold (huddling) or too hot (panting, avoiding heat source).
Poor diet: Low-quality starter feed with poorly digestible ingredients like soybeans.
Dehydration or cold water: Chicks given water below brooder temperature (95–100°F).”

“Polish mayor warns Germans over fuel raids as price surge sparks border panic: The mayor of Świnoujście says shortages are being driven by German “fuel tourism,” with drivers crossing the border en masse to fill tanks and canisters as prices soar in Germany”
ReMIX, Thomas Brooke, March 12, 2026
“The mayor of the Polish city of Świnoujście has warned that German motorists flooding across the border for cheaper fuel are creating shortages and forcing authorities to consider limits on sales. Joanna Agatowska said the situation had moved beyond simply high prices and was now threatening local fuel availability.
“Above all, we must ensure uninterrupted access to fuel for our residents and municipal companies, which must carry out their duties safely and uninterruptedly,” Agatowska said in a statement published on the city’s website. The warning comes after a surge in cross-border “fuel tourism” triggered by sharply higher petrol and diesel prices in Germany following the conflict between the United States and Israel, and Iran.
Gas stations in the German town of Heringsdorf were selling diesel for up to €2.07 per litre on Wednesday morning, while the same fuel in nearby Świnoujście cost roughly €1.38. Petrol prices show an even wider gap, with Super E10 costing around €2.10 in Germany but about €1.33 in Poland.
For motorists with a 50-liter tank, the difference amounts to savings of more than €30, making the short trip across the border highly attractive.
According to Polish outlet Tysol, the rush has triggered shortages in the city. “Massive refueling on the Polish side of the border is causing shortages at gas stations in Świnoujście,” the outlet reported. Polsat News reporter Wojciech Gaweł said drivers had begun arriving in large numbers to take advantage of the price difference. “Drivers rushed to buy fuel en masse, and so did their German neighbors, who came to the Polish side to fill up,” he said.
Local officials say the situation has worsened because some motorists are not only filling their vehicles but also stockpiling fuel in canisters.
Świnoujście authorities have now appealed to gas station operators to limit the sale of fuel in canisters and to exercise stricter oversight of sales, Bild reported. The city has also asked customs and border services to carry out inspections of drivers leaving Poland to ensure existing regulations on transporting fuel across the border are enforced.
The risk of shortages is compounded by the city’s geography. Świnoujście sits on an island, and for safety reasons, fuel tankers cannot use the underwater road tunnel. Instead, deliveries must be transported by ferry, which runs only four times a day and does not operate on Sundays or public holidays.
Last weekend, parts of the city reportedly ran out of fuel entirely, and officials fear the situation could repeat itself if the cross-border rush continues.”

If you really want to spice up the SAVE America Act debate and the talking filibuster, have Trump exercise his rights under Rule XIX(8) of the Standing Rules of the Senate, which requires the Senate to let all former presidents address the Senate upon demand (yes, he is currently president, but remember he is also a former president).
Imagine Trump rolling into the Senate mid-Democrat filibuster and taking over the whole place. Must-see TV.

https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/17.0.2/svg/1f6a8.svg JUST IN: Sen. John Fetterman TORCHES the SAVE America Act as unpassable in the Senate
“If you want a serious conversation, just provide BASIC ID to vote. THAT’S something I might get behind. Not all the other things!”
“If you want a show vote, you’ll get it, it has NO chance of passing.”
I think the GOP should call the Democrats’ bluff.
Force a long, drawn-out vote on the SAVE America Act.
Then put standalone voter ID straight to the floor and SEE IF THEY SUPPORT IT!
Then put standalone citizenship verification and watch them defend illegals again.
We need election integrity for 2026! PLAY HARDBALL!

I’m back – Mom’s pretty well all packed up. High wind warnings out for tonight so I helped move a bunch of planting stuff into her cousin Linda’s van so it doesn’t get blown away. Linda’s son is coming Saturday with his son to help load the truck. They will follow them to Beatrice and unload it for her and Linda will stay to help her get settled in. Most everything is already boxed up and ready to go and I took her a few more boxes for what’s left.

Just The News: “One person was injured Thursday after a man drove his car into a synagogue in Michigan, and the suspect was found dead in his vehicle, according to Oakland County Sheriff Michael Bouchard.
No children or staff were injured in the incident at Temple Israel in West Bloomfield, but one of the security guards was taken to the hospital after being hit by the vehicle, Bouchard said, CNN reported. The guard is expected to recover.
No motive for the incident has been reported so far. Bouchard said that the suspect drove through the doors of the building and down the hall, and that officials believe there was only one person in the car. He also noted that security saw and engaged the suspect in gunfire.
Multiple law enforcement officials told the media outlet that emergency responders found what appeared to be a large amount of explosives in the back of the vehicle.
Attorney General Pam Bondi posted on X that agents from the FBI and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives were “on the scene assisting local authorities at Temple Israel synagogue.”
The West Bloomfield Police Department urged residents to avoid the area, citing an “active situation,” the Detroit Free Press reported. Michigan State Police’s Second District acknowledged reports of an active shooting, and said troopers were increasing patrols at other places of worship in the district.
According to its website, Temple Israel is the largest Reform synagogue in the U.S. West Bloomfield High School, West Bloomfield Middle School, Doherty Elementary School, and Bloomfield Hills Schools are currently in secure mode, CBS News reported.
The Jewish Federation of Detroit urged all Jewish organizations to go into “lockout protocol.”
