The official state motto of Colorado is “Nil sine Numine” (Nothing without the Deity).

The Latin phrase Nil sine Numine is commonly translated as “Nothing without Providence,” but it was specifically stated in a government committee report that the original designers of the Colorado state seal (which includes the phrase “Nil sine Numine”) intended the translation to be “Nothing without the Deity.” Numine is Latin for any divinity, god or goddess (God is a purely anglo-saxon word).

        Mondays and Thursdays are my laundry days.
        I finally came up with a spring cleaning schedule–one (or two if I feel ambitious) days a week I pick something to sort out–A closet (not all of them at once) and organize it or an entire kitchen cabinet–not just a drawer…lol…that way I make progress without being overwhelmed.
        then my daughter, son in law, and granddaughter visit for Easter–and stay the weekend–and I rush like heck to finish what i can and hide the rest…LOL
        Our honeysuckles grow wild here–the deer and the bear love them!

  5. EXCERPT: “The FBI is expanding its criminal probe into suspected election irregularities, secretly obtaining a large tranche of voting records from Arizona’s largest county with a recent grand jury subpoena, multiple people familiar with the probe told Just the News.

    The sources, who spoke only on condition of anonymity because of the secrecy of the grand jury probe, said FBI agents are receiving gigabytes of electronic election data from Maricopa County, about a month after the bureau first disclosed an investigation into election irregularities by raiding a warehouse near Atlanta and seizing ballots from the 2020 election conducted in Fulton County, Georgia’s largest metropolis.

    The subpoena comes five years after the GOP-led Arizona state Senate conducted a lengthy investigation into the 2020 election and concluded there were significant irregularities.

    More recently, the bureau was alerted to a report filed by Republican and Democrat election observers who believed they observed irregularities in November 2024 at a warehouse in Arizona where blank and filled-out absentee ballots were observed in the same location, according to the sources.

    Congress has never released the report from the staffers who were sent to observe the 2024 election in Maricopa County, which includes Arizona’s largest city of Phoenix.

    But House Administration Committee Chairman Bryan Steil recently hinted at the significance of the report in an interview with the Just the News, No Noise television show.

    “We’re digging back through those reports that were submitted by our election observers that were deployed across the country,” Steil said. “This is where working hand in glove with other federal government agencies is so important.

    “We have reports documenting instances that occurred in Arizona and across the country, and we are reviewing those in real time and working hand in glove with federal partners to make sure that the law was followed in every jurisdiction in the country,” he added.

    FBI likely to expand ballot-related searches elsewhere

    The sources said the joint report filed by one GOP and one Democratic observer who were in Maricopa County on election night 2024 included photos of the ballots and storage facility, which they described as heavily guarded and having ballots from multiple states’ elections.

    Officials said that report was one of several foundations for the subpoena executed by the FBI in recent days. Sources said the FBI is likely to execute searches and subpoenas in other states beyond Georgia and Arizona in coming weeks…..”

    Just The News: “Several current and former members of Congress are suing to secure retroactive pay raises, drawing scorn from at least one fiscal conservative in the institution. “Corrupt Washington politicians, including Democrat James E. Clyburn are suing for retroactive congressional pay raises that could cost taxpayers MILLIONS of dollars!!” Rep. Ralph Norman, R-N.C., who is running for N.C. governor, wrote on social media last week. “With $38 TRILLION in debt, Congress doesn’t deserve a raise! Enough is enough!”

    The National Taxpayers Union Foundation wrote a piece elaborating on the details of the effort for retroactive pay hikes. “Represented by former Virginia Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli, Jim Clyburn (D-SC), Rick Crawford (R-AR), Steny Hoyer (D-MD), former Reps. Rodney Davis (R-IL), Tom Davis (R-VA), Ed Perlmutter (D-CO), and former Sen. Mark Kirk (R-IL) are suing taxpayers for retroactive pay hikes that could add tens of millions—and potentially far more—to federal liabilities,” according to the organization.

    The NTUF said the plaintiffs are arguing that “annual votes since 1992 to block automatic cost-of-living adjustments (COLAs) for members of Congress violated the 27th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.”

    The NTUF said Clyburn and Hoyer signed on as new plaintiffs after they first published a piece about the case and its “potential burden on taxpayers.”

    Congress had repeatedly voted to freeze congressional pay at $174,000 per year since January 2009. The pay freeze remains in effect for members of Congress. The amendment was originally proposed by James Madison in 1789 and ratified in 1992. It requires that any law varying congressional compensation cannot take effect until after an intervening election, the NTUF reported.

    Norman has sponsored legislation that would eliminate future automatic pay adjustments for members of Congress. “Congress is the only place in America where you can fail the people you represent and still expect a raise,” Norman said in a statement. “That’s not public service. That’s a broken system.

    “We’ve traded citizen legislators for career politicians more focused on their own paychecks than the people back home,” he added. “That’s why we need term limits. And if they think the salary isn’t enough, they’re welcome to go home and live under the rules and laws they’ve created.”

  7. Just The News: “Democratic Arizona Gov. Katie Hobbs is drawing sharp criticism after vetoing legislation that would have authorized a specialty license plate commemorating slain Charlie Kirk, a decision Republican lawmakers argued politicizes the aftermath of his assassination.

    Kirk was killed on Sept. 10 while speaking at a Turning Point USA event at Utah Valley University. He lived in Arizona with his wife, Erika, and their two children.

    The proposal would have created a specialty license plate commonly referred to as the “Charlie Kirk memorial” plate, also described as a “conservative grassroots network” plate. The design included an image of Kirk alongside the Turning Point USA logo, set against a background featuring the American flag.

    Hobbs said the bill would “insert politics into a function of government that should remain nonpartisan” if it became law.”

    In any previous era of American journalism, a story like that would have dominated front pages for months. Instead it barely registered.

    That indifference is disturbing on its own. What makes it worse is that there is now nearly a decade of precedent for it. The reported surveillance of Wiles and Patel is simply the newest entry in a pattern that stretches back to the beginning of Trump’s political rise.

    Nine years ago this week, President Trump posted his now infamous tweet claiming that the Obama administration had spied on his campaign. The response from the political establishment was immediate and dismissive, with intelligence officials, the media, and Democrats all mocking the claim as paranoid fantasy.

    At the time, the public knew little about the emerging Russiagate narrative, and the same institutions that mocked Trump were already laying the groundwork for the appointment of a special counsel whose investigation would hang over his presidency for years.

    Among the art were 35 etchings signed by the Dutch master Rembrandt van Rijn. Despite being in the city where Rembrandt lived, and the signature on the etchings, Meyer was hesitant to bring the art to appraisers, knowing that the likelihood of forgeries was still high.

    Eventually, she reached out to the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam, and as she told Dutch news service Omroep Gelderland, the appraisers told her,

    ‘Charlotte, you have no idea what you’ve got!’

    I think my favorite part of this story is this etching that was unearthed, titled, The Pancake Woman, 1635, which really paints a beautiful picture (or sketch) of my life when my kids are hungry for breakfast. It just goes to show that not much has changed in the past 400 years.

    Since finding the remarkable collection among her own things, Meyer has been adding to the etchings, which will soon become their own exhibit at the museum that first appraised them.

    Meyer herself will be leading a guided tour of the exhibit, showing off the remarkable collection that she didn’t even know was in her own home until the pandemic caused her to slow down enough to do some deep cleaning.

    And the moral of the story is, never neglect your Spring cleaning!”

    On 02/16/2026, our communications center received one of the more unusual calls for service. A pig had made its way inside a home in the Ellenboro area. The unexpected guest showed zero fear, maximum confidence, and the motive seemed to be finding snacks.

    After a short standoff involving a pack of crackers and some highly questionable negotiations, deputies successfully convinced the sus-pig-ious individual to surrender.

    That’s a dispatch from Rutherford County, North Carolina Sheriff’s Office, where a marauding crook has been implicated in a shocking home invasion. Harrowing images showed police apprehending the porcine suspect:

    According to police, the pig was “taken into custody without further incident” and taken to the most fearsome lockup in the region, “the Rutherford County Animal Control Services, operated by Heart of the Foothills Animal Rescue.”

    Apparently there were innocent bystanders in attendance to watch the whole grim scene play out:

    The children on scene found the whole situation hilarious and honestly so did we. Moments like this remind us that community policing is not always lights and sirens. Sometimes it is patience. Sometimes it is laughter. And sometimes it is arresting a pig for breaking and entering.

    Police said they located the owner of the suspect, who “has now been identified as Penelope.” The pig “will soon be released back home with no court date required.”

    EXCERPT: “…..Other than all the farm chores and cooking, I have managed to get a fair bit of riding Jade in over the past week.

    But despite all the work, the pleasures of the farm happen in those small moments, when one least expects it.

    Jade, my wonder stallion and best equine companion ever, and I were riding in the forest at the back of the property on a gravel access road for the power company that cuts up a steep path. The dogs were off in the distance, as they always are, either looking for deer or fox to chase or actually chasing them.

    Suddenly, I looked to my left and, running parallel to me in the trees, only a stone’s throw away, was a slinky bobcat, America’s small lynx. He ran at our side – as Jade, and I trotted up the hill and then, at some point, zoomed ahead, crossed in front of us, and disappeared. He was tall – taller than I thought a bobcat would be. Greyish with a shortish, but not completely docked tail. He looked just like the image below.

    When we first moved here years ago, before the houses were put in and the homesite was abandoned and wild, I thought I once saw a bobcat outside in the middle of the night, but then I wondered if it was just a very large cat. I knew bobcats were in our area, but still. Bobcats are not something one sees very often, if ever.

    But seeing him last week. Well, it was on the first warm day, and he looked thin. He was probably hunting the small animals out for the first time this season and still sleepy from the long winter’s nap.

    But still, somehow that bobcat running beside me made my heart beat a little faster and made the stillness of the forest feel more intense, more alive.

    We are surrounded by spirits of this world and not of this world. And the wonder of that can overwhelm me.”

    A newly surfaced CIA document suggests US intelligence once reviewed research that hinted at a possible cancer treatment more than 60 years ago. 

    The document, produced in February 1951 and declassified in 2014, summarizes a Soviet scientific paper that examined striking similarities between parasitic worms and cancerous tumors. 

    The report describes how researchers believed both organisms thrived under nearly identical metabolic conditions and accumulated large reserves of glycogen, a form of stored energy. 

    The research also highlighted experiments showing that certain chemical compounds were capable of targeting both parasitic infections and malignant tumors. 

    One drug, Myracyl D, was reportedly effective against bilharzia parasites as well as cancerous growths, hinting that treatments developed for parasites might also attack tumors. 

    Other compounds were found to interfere with nucleic acid production, a process essential for the uncontrolled growth of cancer cells. 

    Experiments on mice even showed that tumor tissues reacted differently to certain chemicals than normal tissues, further reinforcing the perceived biochemical overlap between parasites and cancers.

    Although the document was declassified more than a decade ago, it has recently resurfaced online, fueling outrage among some Americans who say it raises troubling questions about why Cold War research hinting at possible cancer treatments sat in intelligence archives for decades.

    Another ridiculous ruling from Judge Brann disqualifying three individuals serving New Jersey’s DOJ front office of the U.S. Attorney. 

    Judges may continue to try and stop President Trump from carrying out what the American people voted for, but we will not be deterred.

    The unconstitutionality of this complete overreach into the Executive Branch, time and time again, will not succeed. They would rather have no U.S. Attorney than safety for the people of NJ. 

    Judges do not fire DOJ officials, AG Pam Bondi and POTUS do – get in line.
