DIY: Easy Leprechaun Hats

Supplies Needed for Clay Pot Leprechaun Hats:

      Small or Medium Clay Pots

Green Multi-Purpose Acrylic Paint (you can also use spray paint!)

Paint brush

Black Ribbon (I used 3/8” and 1/2”)

Gold scrapbooking paper or Gold Vinyl

Hot Glue Gun/Hot glue Sticks

scissors

Xacto knife

Step 1: Spray or paint the pots

Step 2: Make the hat band

I wrapped with black ribbon towards the bottom of the clay pot.  Since the pot is not a true cylinder, you will have to adjust in the back to get the ribbon to sit properly in the front.  Use hot glue to secure in place.

Step 3: Add the Buckle

Next I used my Xacto Knife to cut out the buckles.  I had some gold cardstock left over from this Santa Bin.   I just used that.  I hot glued them in place as well.

Voila! You’re done!

  1. Good Morning All!

it’s above 30* here–hard to tell exactly what the temp is currently because the thermometer is full of condensation inside.

Yesterday afternoon as we were driving down the driveway, we both spotted a brown/black clump in the middle of the stream. Hubby said the other day he added more rock to that section so it would be easier to drive across. (We bought a truckload of stones that we had delivered years ago for just this reason. When it starts to melt, the stream can get roaring and erodes the banks that we drive on, so he adds the stones every once in a while so we don’t bottom out the vehicles.)

As we got closer we both had the same thought…it’s a dead porcupine–stuck there. Sure enough it was. it wasn’t there Tuesday when hubby came home, so it must have been upstream and came down with the melting ice/water. It wasn’t there when we came home (or at least we didn’t see it) so hubby’s gonna go down some time today to check.

    1. Good morning. Upper 40s, light fog. Remainder of snow piles are disappearing.

A dead porcupine? Not on my bingo card lol Surprised it was your first thought!

It’s “tidy Thursday” for me. Son (34) and grandson (2) usually visit in the evening, so I do a straighten up 🙂

      God Bless. Take care. 🕯

      2. Good Morning Gina!
we see porcupines regularly here in the woods. In fact a smaller one has taken refuge in the shed where we stack our firewood. they can’t run fast so they normally turn their backs to you knowing you can’t pick them up or touch them.
        Have a great visit!!

    2. Morning, Pat! Ah! The joys of living in the wild! Yeah, no thanks! LOL

It froze last night so some of the frozen tuna was scattered on the doormat this morning and some of the dry food was eaten. I brought it inside to thaw for a bit – it’s 36 and cloudy/foggy again. I’ve got woodpeckers!!! Yeah!!! A Downy WP was on the seed block this morning but I also had to chase off either a Blackbird or a Starling – kind of small so probably a Starling.

        1. I’ll see whole flocks of cowbirds as we get further into spring. They come swooping in and almost completely cover the grass as they forage for the bugs. And then they all swoop out again.

    DOJ drops auto pen case

For those upset about this. As far as I know now, this is not the fault of Pam Bondi or Jeanine Pirro.

This stems from an understanding that a DC grand jury–which sits for months–will not bring any indictment sought by the Trump DOJ.

Activist groups in DC have coached potential GJ members about how to issue no true bills in indictments sought by the Trump DOJ. This represents an active operation to sabotage criminal charges against not just elected officials but those who assaulted/impeded federal officers trying to enforce immigration laws.

And the vaunted “rule of law.”

I once sat in a DC courtroom and heard the woman next to me brag how her boyfriend (she was clearly not a Trump supporter) was picked to serve on a DC grand jury. Another time, I was in the security line for DC courthouse and heard a woman say it was one of many times she had been called to jury duty.

Jury recycling–both trial and grand jury–is a massive obstacle to this DOJ getting anything done.

In a city of almost all Democrats.

No one understands the brazen politicking of the judicial system in DC. Which is another reason why Republicans should shutter the DC federal court system.

BTW I asked the Trump DOJ months ago, how many no true bills were issued during the J6 prosecution. I never got an answer.

      1. sure you do…me. called three times so far. the first time we all showed up and were told they settled the case out of court and we could all go home. the second time, I called the number the day ahead (as instructed) and was informed we were not needed. The third time I was selected as an alternate juror. Sat thru all the arguments but was not allowed in during deliberations. I stayed to hear their verdict–very astute actually. I was impressed with their reasoning.

Judge Denies Ilhan Omar’s Emergency Bid to Block DOJ Probe

A federal judge has denied Rep. Ilhan Omar’s emergency request to halt the Department of Justice investigation into her finances.
The request was swiftly dismissed, with no hearing, leaving the congresswoman facing an imminent subpoena.
Secretary Marco Rubio called the development “a major step toward accountability,” asserting that Omar’s reported $40 million in assets raises serious questions about transparency and potential conflicts of interest.
Rubio also pledged to push for a full congressional audit, which could have significant implications for her committee assignments.

According to sources, financial trails linked to overseas accounts are now under scrutiny, heightening scrutiny of the Minnesota lawmaker’s wealth and fundraising practices.

The judge reportedly remarked, “No more games,” signaling a no-nonsense approach to the case. The investigation could trigger far-reaching political consequences, with implications for congressional oversight, ethics enforcement, and possible further legal action.

  4. Well, we’re getting freezing rain, altho the temp on my patio is 39. I sure wouldn’t want to be out driving on the roads right now! Bet people get stupid, thinking, “oh, it’s just rain,” and there are a bunch of wrecks!!! Brrr it’s cold out there – a wet cold always cuts deeper…..hope Wheezer is hunkered down somewhere. I often wonder if maybe he’s not nearby underneath the evergreen on the west side of my house – the bottom limbs are flat on the ground so there’s no seeing underneath. One of these days this summer, I’ll climb under there and see what’s what. Pretty sure the bunnies use the evergreens for keeping their young’uns safe on the east and the west.

  5. NF: The additional good news here is that apparently, the detainers are being honored by the local jails!!!!

EXCERPT: “U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement-Enforcement and Removal Operations officers in Houston continue to arrest illegal foreign nationals who’ve been convicted of killing Americans when driving while intoxicated (DWI) and reentered the country after they were previously deported.

DWIs and intoxicated manslaughter are top violent crimes cited in the Houston area committed primarily by Mexican nationals in the country illegally, according to ICE records. Of the more than 660,000 criminal foreign nationals identified to be deported in late 2024 who weren’t detained, more than 126,000 had committed traffic offenses including DWIs and posed a risk to public safety, The Center Square reported.

The latest ICE ERO Houston actions occurred in Harris County, where agents lodged detainer requests with the county jail for two Mexican nationals after local law enforcement arrested them on charges of intoxicated manslaughter. This was after ICE ERO Houston officers already arrested 21 criminal foreign nationals convicted of intoxicated manslaughter and 243 with three or more DWI convictions in the past year, ICE said on Wednesday.

“After violating our nation’s laws to illegally enter the country, these criminal illegal aliens repeatedly put the lives of innocent Americans in jeopardy by getting behind the wheel intoxicated,” ICE ERO Houston acting Field Office Director Gabriel Martinez said in a statement. “Tragically, at least 23 families will wake up tomorrow without a loved one as a result of this reckless criminal behavior.”

The latest arrests were of Enrique Acevedo Barocio, 27, and Manuel Neri Mendoza, 37, who’d previously been deported and had two DWI convictions. “After the most recent incident, Mendoza allegedly attempted to flee the scene, leaving a 3-year-old child alone in a wrecked vehicle with their deceased mother,” ICE said.

Fleeing the scene is a common occurrence, ICE said. In the past year, ICE Houston officers “arrested 98 criminal illegal aliens … who fled the scene of an accident and were convicted of failing to stop and give aid after an accident.”

“It has become extremely common for criminal illegal aliens to flee from ICE and other law enforcement,” Martinez said. “This is a direct result of elected officials demonizing our officers and encouraging aliens to evade arrest.”

ICE Houston also highlighted recent arrests over the past year of those with prior convictions for intoxicated manslaughter and/or three or more DWIs. Nearly all examples are Mexican nationals and men. All were in the country illegally and previously deported. They have all since been deported…..”

  6. “How Long Will This War Last?”

Michael T. Flynn LTG USA (RET), Mar 05, 2026

    SITREP IRAN

Many have asked me various questions about the current war in Iran. One of the main questions is how long do you think this war will last? First off, war is brutal, vicious, filled with irony and uncertainty and always about strategy. However, strategy sometimes goes unnoticed or overlooked because the tendency is to stare at the immediate instead of the longer term consequences.

Discerning the long term strategy in warfare is challenging for even those who pay close attention. Trying to read the mind of the opposing side’s leadership is not easy nor is it an exact science.

Next, I don’t believe that President Trump wanted this war, not one bit. But like history teaches, you may not want war but war wants you. In history, war is the norm and peace is the aberration. I wish that wasn’t true but in this, the 21st Century, the United States of America has been at war since 2001 (9/11). It’s not always us who start them, but they never seem to end.

So what does this have to do with Iran? Will the war in Iran end anytime soon?
The ongoing US-led military campaign against Iran, which began on February 28, 2026, does not appear likely to conclude within four weeks or anytime soon based on current developments.

The conflict, dubbed Operation Epic Fury by the Trump administration, has entered its fifth day as of March 5 and shows signs of escalation rather than de-escalation, with strikes intensifying across Iran, retaliatory attacks spreading to US assets in the region, and involvement expanding to areas like Lebanon, the Persian Gulf, and even the Indian Ocean.

US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has stated that operations are “accelerating, not decelerating,” with the US “just getting started” and aiming for “complete control” of Iranian airspace in the coming days, while additional assets are being deployed. Casualties are mounting—over 1,000 reported killed in Iran, including Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and other officials, alongside US and allied losses—and Iran has closed the Strait of Hormuz, mobilized forces, and launched counterstrikes on US bases, embassies, and allied sites in countries like the UAE, Qatar, and Kuwait.

The Senate’s failure to pass a war powers resolution on March 4 allows President Trump unchecked authority to continue, and he has indicated that the full scope and duration of operations remain uncertain, though some reports suggest the initial phase could last 4-5 weeks if objectives like degrading Iran’s military are met. However, with no negotiations underway, regional allies like Hezbollah engaging, and warnings of deeper strikes into Iran, the situation points to a potentially prolonged and widening war rather than a quick resolution.

Bottom line kiddies, settle in for a long war I guess. Pray I’m wrong and pray for our men and women in uniform as well as our political leadership.”

  11. “Argentina’s President knows what side of the bread the butter is on, believing that’s it’s better for everyone if Argentinians are friends with the US. He said Sunday in a state of the nation address to parliament that he wants the country’s strategic alliance with the United States under US President Donald Trump to become a permanent state policy as Buenos Aires expands cooperation on security, energy, and regional influence in the South Atlantic.

“We must create the century of the Americas: Make Americas Great Again, from Alaska to Tierra del Fuego,” Milei said.

“The South Atlantic is the strategic battleground of the coming decades,” he said. The proposal signals Milei’s push to align Argentina closely with Washington on defense, energy supply chains, and geopolitical strategy across the Americas. Milei also backed recent US strikes on Iran and placed Argentina on high alert.

A Jewish community center in Buenos Aires, Argentina, was bombed on 18 July 1994. Executed as a suicide attack, a bomb-laden van was driven into the AMIA building and subsequently detonated, killing 85 people and injuring over 300. Argentinian authorities accused Iran and Hezbollah over the 1994 attack.”

To Mr. White Night On Sex Crimes:

We don’t want to hear you talking about the Jeffrey Epstein files anymore. What you have to say about it from this day forward should not be taken seriously by anyone.

Ed Buck was your donor right?

Harvey Weinstein contributed to your campaign right?

Norman Eisen was your impeachment advisor right?

You had funds from PACs linked to Kevin Spacey donors right?

Ted Lieu You Have A History Of Covering Up Sex Crimes

Back in your Air Force days as a JAG officer, you was involved in prosecuting sex assault cases at bases like Vandenberg right?

You pushed for lenient plea deals in at least three high-profile officer-involved assaults, citing “unit cohesion” bullshit while victims got sidelined names redacted in public FOIAs but tied to powerful brass families like the Cheneys’ extended network.

    Am I Right?

I know you don’t want this out because it torpedoes your “champion of survivors” facade; one victim, a female airman from your 1998 caseload, attempted suicide after the deal and later sued the AF, with Lieu’s name scrubbed from the settlement docs.

Do You All Want To Know What Else Ted Lieu Is Connected To?

His wife, Betty, through her real estate gigs in Torrance, CA, funneled property deals to bundlers connected to the NXIVM cult’s West Coast remnants Ed Buck overlapped there too, with 2014 escrow records showing shared investments in Hollywood flop houses used for “parties” that Keith Raniere’s crew frequented. Lieu buried this by threatening defamation suits against bloggers in 2019 who linked it.

Do You All Remember Me Covering Roger Stone’s Involvement In The NXIVM Cult?

Dig into his anti-Trump zeal: Lieu’s 2019 impeachment push wasn’t just politics it masked his own exposure in Ukraine aid scandals, where his office coordinated with Burisma-linked lobbyists (via Atlantic Council cutouts) to block probes into Hunter Biden’s deals, all while Lieu pocketed $50K+ in indirect PAC funds from George Soros’ Open Society network in 2018-2020.

Out Of All The Journalists On This Platform Who Have Become Anti Trump

Why Are You Just Now Hearing About This?

Because you have people like Roger Stone & Michael Flynn who have put a muzzle on these sellouts like Lara Logan Emerald Robinson, Liz Crokin, Stew Peters, Benny Johnson, Alex Jones, Nick Fuentes, Shawn Ryan, Tucker Carlson, Owen Shroyer, etc. The list goes on.

Now do you see why I can never attack this current administration?

Do you see how cowardly it us to pile on one single man who is up against an entire system of corrupt sexually depraved lunatics who criticize his every move because they know they are on the receiving end of it?

I told you all before once Iran, Cuba, Mexico, and Venezuela are dealt with. All the focus is going to be on these traitors you see on this platform everyday.

Enjoy the rest of your day.

  14. Whoa! Gauntlet thrown!!!

Just The News: “Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton on Thursday offered to drop his primary challenge to Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas, if he would commit to passing the SAVE America Act via the talking filibuster.

Paxton and Cornyn advanced to a runoff election on Tuesday and President Donald Trump has signaled he plans to endorse one candidate and ask the other to leave the race to avoid a grueling primary. Paxton already indicated he would not drop out merely at Trump’s request.

“The Save America Act is the most important bill the U.S. Senate could ever pass, and I’m committed to helping President Trump get it done,” Paxton said.
“I would consider dropping out of this race if Senate Leadership agrees to lift the filibuster and passes the SAVE America Act.”

“John Cornyn is a coward who has refused to support abolishing the filibuster to pass this bill. Now, Fake News reporters and the establishment are trying to destroy me with misinformation,” he went on. “The truth is clear: No one has been more loyal to Donald Trump than me—fighting the stolen 2020 election, being in Mar-a-Lago when he announced his 2024 campaign, and standing with him in NY in the face of lawfare. For the good of our country and for the good of passing President Trump’s agenda, I am determined to help him get this done.”
