What Shall We Bake Today?

I found a recipe for a new dessert–Peanut Butter Brownies!

Ingredients

1 1/2 cups creamy peanut butter

1/2 cup all-purpose flour

2/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

3/4 cup salted butter

3 oz. dark chocolate bar (72%), chopped

1 1/4 cups granulated sugar

1/4 tsp. kosher salt

1 1/2 tsp. vanilla

3 large eggs

1/3 cup semisweet chocolate chips

1/3 cup peanut butter chips

Directions

Preheat the oven to 350°. Lightly grease a 9-by-9-inch square baking pan then line with parchment paper, leaving an overhang on all sides. Microwave the peanut butter for 30 seconds; stir. Repeat as necessary until peanut butter is pourable. Pour into the prepared pan. Freeze until firm, about 1 hour. Remove the peanut butter layer and transfer to a small sheet tray. Store in the freezer until ready to use.

Sift together the flour and cocoa powder in a medium mixing bowl.

Melt the butter and chocolate in a medium saucepan over medium heat, stirring often. Remove from heat.

Beat the sugar, salt, vanilla, and eggs in a large bowl with an electric mixer at medium-high speed until fluffy, about 3 minutes. Slowly drizzle in the melted chocolate mixture on low speed until combined. Beat in the flour mixture on low speed until just combined.

Pour half of the batter into the prepared pan. Remove peanut butter layer from the freezer, and place on top of brownie batter. Top with the remaining half of the brownie batter, and spread to even out the top. Sprinkle the top with the chocolate chips and peanut butter chips.

Bake in the preheated oven for about 40 minutes or until puffed, dry to the touch, and set on the top (a wooden pick inserted in the center will not come out clean). Cool completely in the pan on a wire rack, about 3 hours. Cut into 16 squares.

Enjoy!

  1. Good Morning All!

temps are below 30* and hubby went out on the deck–he is cleaning the ash pan of the wood stove and told me it looks clear out there, but there’s a thin icy layer on the deck so i should be careful when i go out.

    1. Good morning, Pat! Wheezer had eaten all of the tuna AND the dry food and was waiting for more! Goodness, he was hungry! I added more dry food with a big scoop of tuna on top and he ate all of that tuna and wanted more! So another big scoop of tuna – that satisfied him. He gobbled that down, then departed. The temp has plunged – down to 15 this morning, humid and cloudy – I expect some snow later today.

BUSTED: Shenna Bellows just accidentally exposed the scam in a shocking admission… and the internet is forever.

All over the state of Maine, there’s been a coordinated effort to provide groceries and other support to illegal immigrants who are staying indoors in an attempt to avoid ICE. Bellows just told those people to vote absentee.

“My concern becomes, if you’re afraid to go to work, you’re going to be afraid to go to vote.”

Riddle us this: If you’re avoiding ICE, why would you be voting? REPOST this for widespread exposure!

EXPOSED – they’re not even trying to hide it now!

“I came here for the money. I don’t even like this country.”

This woman argues that America isn’t better than Mexico – she can just make more cash here.

“We didn’t come for the culture or the values. We came to make money — I don’t owe this country anything.”

This is NOT what our immigration system is built for! REPOST and expose her.

  3. Just The News: “King Charles III’s younger brother, the former Prince Andrew, was reportedly arrested by British authorities on Thursday in an investigation into official misconduct related to his relationship with the late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

Numerous British and American news outlets reported Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor was arrested on his 66th birthday at his new home of Charles’ Sandringham estate in the county of Norfolk. The arrest came two weeks after files released by the U.S. Justice Department suggested that Andrew shared confidential British government information with Epstein and others when he worked as a British trade envoy.

The Thames Valley Police confirmed a week ago it was investigating allegations against Andrew that surfaced in the DOJ- released documents, and on Thursday announced that “as part of the investigation, we have today arrested a man in his sixties from Norfolk on suspicion of misconduct in public office and are carrying out searches at addresses in Berkshire and Norfolk.”

The suspect “remains in police custody at this time,” the police said.

The arrest is the latest blow to Britain’s royal family after years of unflattering revelations about Andrew and his long relationship with Epstein. Andrew has always denied wrongdoing. Nonetheless, the family was forced to strip the former prince of his royal titles.

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer reacted to the latest revelations, telling the BBC shortly before the arrest that “nobody is above the law.” Justice  “has to apply in this case in the same way it would in any other case,” Starmer said.”

  5. “Is Trump Trying to Give Bayer Backdoor Immunity With a Shady Executive Order? Glyphosate should be illegal yes, but, from what I read Trump is not trying to give Bayer immunity in it’s many lawsuits.”

    Super Spreader, Feb 19, 2026

EXCERPT: “This executive order is still a disgrace. Trump should know better. Glyphosate is terrible and unnecessary, not to mention, it causes cancer!! Regenerative and bio-dynamic farming produce higher yields at lower cost with significantly increased nutrient density. Using glyphosate does the OPPOSITE of providing food security. It damages it. I am very disappointed. I can’t explain or defend this other than just assuming Trump has gone full retard here. He might as well have included Brawndo in the executive order. It’s got what plants crave after all.

    See this section:

I generally don’t like posting AI answers but in this case I wanted the correct interpretation since this is complicated legal language. See the two part answer below:….”

“….In short: This EO is a standard DPA supply-order tool with the usual narrow compliance immunity. It does not give Bayer a get-out-of-jail-free card on the cancer litigation. Any media phrasing like “appeared to extend legal immunity” is loose shorthand referring to the generic DPA clause—it does not override the actual statutory limits or affect the Roundup cases.

Regardless, even if this executive order doesn’t give immunity to Bayer, I still can’t support this level of Idiocracy. What do you think?”

  6. “America Without Accountability: How The Next Midterms Could Break Public Trust”

Michael T. Flynn LTG USA (RET), Feb 18, 2026

EXCERPT: “The United States is entering a historic crossroads. At home, trust in institutions is collapsing. Abroad, the world is becoming more unstable and more dangerous. Together, these forces are converging into a single test that will arrive with the next midterm elections. The biggest threat our nation faces isn’t overseas; it is right here at home.

Will there be real accountability for the actions taken against the people of this country or will those in power continue to evade responsibility? The answer will shape the outcome of the midterms and the direction of our nation for years to come.

This is not just another election cycle. In the current geopolitical environment with wars, energy shocks, sovereign debt concerns, cyber threats, censorship regimes, and economic realignments, the United States cannot afford a domestic crisis of legitimacy. Yet that is exactly what is building. If there is no serious move toward accountability between now and the midterms, the political and social consequences will be consequential.

Geopolitics And the Domestic Crisis of Trust…..

What Happens in the Midterms If There Is No Accountability…..

The Geopolitical Price of Domestic Evasion…..

The Psychological Impact on the American People…..

Accountability Could Change the Midterm Trajectory…..

What Voters Can Do Before the Midterms…..

The Role of Media and Alternative Platforms…..

…..The future of our nation will not be decided only by global events or elite negotiations. It will be decided by whether the people of this country still demand accountability from those who govern in their name.

If that demand grows louder, clearer, and more focused before the midterms, the election can become a turning point toward renewal. If it does not, the midterms may instead mark the moment when millions of Americans decide that the promise of equal justice under law was only a slogan after all.

The choice is still in front of us. Accountability now or instability later?”

The White House called the Smithsonian’s display of a second inaugural gown from the same first lady “a rare distinction,” according to The Hill.

The white gown she wore in the 2025 event features a black stripe. Her fitting for the attire was part of the “Melania” documentary that aired earlier this month.

A former model, Melania Trump has long been a fixture of the fashion scene and her appearances at D.C. political events in lavish attire have attracted considerable attention, especially from conservative media. During both of her husband’s terms in office, however, she has remained relatively private compared to other first ladies and generally eschewed the forward-facing, political elements of the role.”

  9. Just The News: “Former Victoria’s Secret CEO billionaire Les Wexner told the House Oversight Committee Wednesday that he was “conned” by his former friend Jeffrey Epstein and denied being one of the convicted sex offender’s co-conspirators. The testimony was part of the panel’s probe into the late-financier. The committee subpoenaed Wexner for his testimony last month after the billionaire was named in the Justice Department’s Epstein Files multiple times.

Wexner gave his testimony behind closed doors from his home in New Albany, Ohio, where he said he “never witnessed nor had any knowledge of Epstein’s criminal activity,” according to a prepared statement obtained by NBC News.

“I have done nothing wrong and have nothing to hide,” Wexner said. “I completely and irrevocably cut ties with Epstein nearly twenty years ago when I learned that he was an abuser, a crook, and a liar. And, let me be crystal clear: I never witnessed nor had any knowledge of Epstein’s criminal activity.”

Wexner has never been formally accused of any wrongdoing in relation to Epstein, but the former financier managed the billionaire’s personal finances for over a decade in the 1990s and early 2000s.

California Democratic Rep. Robert Garcia told reporters that Wexner was trying to “downplay” his ties to Epstein and Massachusetts Democratic Rep. Stephen Lynch said he did not believe Wexner’s testimony. “There would be no Epstein island, there’d be no Epstein plane, there would be no money to traffic women and girls, Mr. Epstein would not be the wealthy man he was, without the support of Les Wexner,” Garcia said.

Wexner also testified that he was a “victim” of Epstein’s as well because the late-financier allegedly stole money from his family, which was discovered after Wexner’s wife Abigail reviewed their finances.

“In September 2007, nine months before he pled guilty in Florida, we revoked Epstein’s power of attorney, removed his access to our bank accounts, and forced him to resign from all our affiliated entities,” Wexner said. “Confronted with his financial wrongdoing by Abigail, Epstein agreed to, and did, return a substantial amount of money, even while continuing to maintain his total innocence of any wrongdoing, never dropping the con.”

The billionaire additionally denied cheating on his wife, stating that he and Abigail have been together for 36 years, including 33 years married. “We are completely devoted to each other,” he insisted. “To be clear, never once in 36 years have I been unfaithful to Abigail in any way, shape, or form. Never. Any suggestion to the contrary is absolutely and entirely false.”

    Judge Sunshine Sykes.

Judge overturns judges on the immigration court. Truly out of control judges.

    https://www.theepochtimes.com/us/federal-judge-throws-out-immigration-boards-ruling-backing-trumps-detention-policy-5987539

“A federal judge in California on Feb. 18 threw out an administrative board’s decision backing the Trump administration’s use of mandatory detention for illegal immigrants arrested in nationwide enforcement operations.”

“U.S. District Judge Sunshine Sykes in Riverside, California, vacated the Board of Immigration Appeals’ decision after finding that the federal government failed to comply with her earlier order declaring unlawful the underlying policy denying detainees the chance to seek release on bond.”

“In her Feb. 18 ruling, she said it was clear further relief was needed after Chief Immigration Judge Teresa Riley issued guidance instructing her colleagues that they are not bound by Sykes’s ruling and that they should continue following the board’s decision.”

It should be funny but the implications of these out of control liberals in the black robes is destruction of any meaningful policy.

I can see ignoring the ignorant and political judiciary in the near future. Impeach if we had a congress.

      1. It is confusing – Summer Smith is the black kid’s Mom:

EXCERPT: “The jury found Summer Smith and attorney Kim Cole intentionally inflicted emotional distress and publicized the private information of Asher Vann, now 19, whom they accused of forcing Smith’s son to drink a cup of urine at a birthday sleepover in Plano in February 2021.

A Snapchat video of the incident sparked headlines and outrage nationwide — and led more than $100,000 to be donated to a GoFundMe page Cole created to benefit Smith and her son.

WFAA did not name Smith’s son because he was a minor at the time, and he is not named as a party in the lawsuit. WFAA is naming Vann, who said he wants the public to view him based on his words now, rather than his actions in the past.

  14. “EU Parliament Says Men Are Women And Anyone Can Get Pregnant: The EU Parliament has done great harm. This is far more than progressive virtue signaling. We hear warnings of transhumanism.”

    By: Glenn T. Stanton, February 19, 2026

    EU parliament

EXCERPT: “In a stunning 340-to-141 vote, with 68 members abstaining, the parliament of the European Union last Thursday approved a resolution affirming “the full recognition of trans women as women.” Yes, you read that right. Men are now women according to the EU. Female parliamentarians happily celebrated their own erasure.

There was no vote on whether a gender-confused woman is a man. There is a very simple reason for this. Trans ideology is a wholesale assault upon the feminine. When trans ideology metastasizes in policy and practice, women pay the price. As Kara Dansky boldly noted in her important book, The Abolition of Sex, “‘[T]ransgender’ is simply a made-up concept … used to justify all kinds of atrocities” against women. “It is, in effect a men’s rights movement intended to objectify women’s bodies and erase us as a class.” She correctly adds, “It is left-wing misogyny on steroids.”

The EU proved her right. But it gets even crazier.

Tomasz Froelich, a German member of the European Parliament and a conservative, announced on X that that body breathlessly rejected an amendment recognizing “that only biological women can become pregnant.” Remarkably, 233 EU parliamentarians agreed that men can get pregnant, while 107 members abstained, apparently holding some confusion on the matter. Only 200 members affirmed that women get pregnant exclusively. Froelich called this development “a madhouse.”

Do not miss the irony that these two votes were cast as the EU’s priorities for the 70th session on the UN Commission on the Status of Women. “Women” now meaning anything you want it to mean. The EU’s priority is erasing the meaning of women and human fertility across these 27 member countries and the United Nations.

This vote has no binding rule of law in any nation. But it will be highly influential in each of these nations and beyond. As investigative reporter Gerald Posner explains, “Language adopted at this stage often migrates — from guidance, to funding priorities, to regulatory expectation.” Posner explains:….”
