What Shall We Bake Today?

Today’s entry, in honor of Chocolate Cake Day, is German Chocolate Cake.  It’s a recipe I’ve won many awards for in high school.

German Chocolate Cake

For the Cake:

4 oz German sweet chocolate (I use Bakers)
1/2 cup boiling water
1 cup butter
2 cups sugar
4 egg yolks
4 egg whites; stiffly beaten
1 tsp vanilla
2 1/2 cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup buttermilk

Preheat oven to 350*.  Line the bottom of 3-9inch round baking pans with waxed paper.  Spray sides with Baker’s Joy.

Put chocolate in a bowl and pour boiling water over it to melt.  Set aside to cool slightly.  In another large bowl, cream butter and sugar until fluffy, add egg yolks one at a time.  Mix in vanilla, and chocolate. Add dry ingredients alternately with buttermilk. Fold in egg whites. Pour into 3 pans.   Bake at 350 for 30-35 minutes.

Frost tops with Coconut Pecan Frosting, leaving sides unfrosted.

Coconut Pecan Frosting

1 cup evaporated milk
1 cup sugar
3 egg yolks
1/2 cup butter
1 tsp vanilla
1 1/3 cups coconut
1 cup chopped pecans

Combine all except coconut and pecans in a saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, about 12 minutes. When mixture thickens, remove from heat. Stir in coconut and
pecans. Cool until spreadable.

This is extremely delicious but can be a pain in the butt to make.  I no longer use this recipe…I opt for a simpler choice:

(Pat’s TIP: Use 2 cans of frosting—it’s the BEST part!)

wp is wonky this morning. I always open 2 tabs–one with the open and one with the comments, etc to monitor in case anyone slips into the bin. the “open” tab was stuck on yesterday’s open, but the comment tab said the new post was published…it’s happened before…???

anyway…it’s cold and icy on the deck…about 20* out there

Eisenhower left office warning the nation about the danger of the MIC.

John F. Kennedy fired CIA leader Alan Dulles and was planning to end the CIA. He refused to invade Cuba and was also considering withdrawing from the Vietnam War. This would have been bad for the CIA and the MIC. JFK gets killed by a “crazy, lone gunman.”
    CIA: Win
    MIC: Win

Lyndon B. Johnson allowed former CIA chief Alan Dulles (who was fired by JFK) to take a high-ranking post on the Warren Commission — which cleared the CIA of any wronging in the death of JFK. LBJ also escalated the war in Vietnam.
    CIA: Win
    MIC: Win

Richard Nixon allegedly told the head of the CIA, “I know who killed John [Kennedy],” hinting he knew the CIA was involved. This was bad for the CIA. Nixon also ended U.S. involvement in the Vietnam War (bad for the MIC). Nixon was forced out of office after — according to Fox News’s Tucker Carlson — four undercover CIA agents broke into the Watergate building and framed him for it.

Gerald Ford worked on the Warren Commission, which cleared the CIA of JFK’s murder, and was in no hurry to implicate himself. Ford also tried to get Congress to send more military aid to South Vietnam but failed.
      CIA: Win
      MIC: Appreciated the effort

Jimmy Carter did not start a war, even though Iran took 52 American hostages for 444 days. He served only one term as president.

      MIC: LOSS

Ronald Reagan allowed his CIA to run amok. He escalated the arms race with the USSR, though he also hated communism. Eventually, he ended the lucrative, four-decade Cold War — a HUGE loss for the MIC. Regan was shot by a “crazy, lone gunman.” Had he died, his replacement would have been a former CIA chief, George H. Bush.

      MIC: LOSS

George Bush, Pt. I was a former CIA chief and was very CIA-friendly. He started a war in Iraq.

Barack Obama maintained war in Afghanistan and refused to demolish ISIS, thus keeping the battle going. The book The Manufacturing of a President: The CIA’s Insertion of Barack H. Obama, Jr. into the White House suggests the CIA helped get Obama elected. Obama gave the CIA more power, re: warrantless spying.
        CIA: Win
        MIC: Win

Donald Trump didn’t get along with the CIA. He fast-tracked the end of ISIS, and drew down in Afghanistan. He is the first president in decades not to start a war. This is bad for CIA and MIC. Despite getting more votes than any incumbent president in history, Trump “loses” the 2020 election.
        CIA: LOSS
        MIC: LOSS

Joe Biden takes office and immediately leaves $88 billion worth of MIC material in Afghanistan, which must now be replaced (Cha-CHING). He also sends almost $100 billion to Ukraine to buy weapons — from the MIC (Cha-cha-cha-CHING).

Julie Kelly is tearing this up. Looks like the police triggered the violence on J6. 3 Years to get this out.

I think the Shicknick case is hosed.

This six-minute clip from Officer Daniel Thau’s body camera shows the accidental discharge of a 40-millimeter canister of a chemical irritant around 2:25 p.m. on January 6. Thau ordered Officer Richard Khoury to aim a launcher with the canister at protesters assembled on scaffolding erected for Biden’s inauguration. “Fire it up in the air,” Thau instructed Khoury. “Just fucking shoot.”

What Was CrowdStrike Doing With Seth Rich’s Laptop?

Seth Rich documents, fresh off the grill!” attorney Ty Clevenger tweetedFriday night. “FBI filed a new motion about CrowdStrike records. I’ve only given it a cursory review, but we have at least one bombshell.” Clevenger, a self-described, “Ex-cop, ex-journalist, disgruntled lawyer, muckraking blogger (http://LawFlog.com), and cheerful optimist,” was not exaggerating. The revelation that the Democrat-friendly cyber security firm CrowdStrike was the second party in possession of the laptop owned by the murdered DNC data analyst Seth Rich is a bombshell indeed.

    1. “This video is the second half of the Project Veritas sting operation, with the lead role going to Pfizer executive Dr. Jordan Walker. I really think this clip deserves a place in the Friday Funnies.”
      (Video)
This dude is in trouble. Pfizer is in trouble. They know it. We know it. They know we know it. The stock market knows it.

A little bit of evidence to the damage done to Pfizer from this truth bomb explosion comes from the corporation itself. Pfizer’s TikTok account has had the comments turned off to the public for anything they post as of about two days ago. Ouch. That’s not a good look. Pfizer’s Twitter account now limits comments:

      Liked by 1 person

    2. “Of course, state-sponsored mainstream media has not covered any of this, with the exception of Tucker Carlson, who had me on as a guest last night. And yes, I can verify that Tucker’s staff independently verified that Jordan Walker is a real human being who works at Pfizer.

Trust it to Newsweek to do a “fact check” on whether the Pfizer director, Dr. Jordan Walker and his comments are for real. Bottom line: Newsweek seems to have conceded the point that yes, Dr. Jordan Walker, Pfizer exec extraordinaire is real. Newsweek’s conclusion: this video is “unverified” – based on the fact that Newsweek doesn’t have the raw video footage themselves to analyze. BTW don’t bother reading their article, it is a bad jacketing hit piece on Project Veritas, that ends with the high-minded belief that as the reporter doesn’t like the tactics of Project Veritas, therefore no one should trust the video footage. Good to know.

Some of the comments in my Twitter feed about the above video do belong in the Friday Funnies! (click on the image to expand).

      “I’m literally a liar”

Jokes aside – Dr. Jordan Walker was literally frightened out of his mind by the fact that he had revealed Pfizer secrets to the press. Watching the two videos back-to-back is like watching a train wreck in slow motion. In the second video when Dr. Walker realizes he is being taped, he has a full blown panic attack. He can’t deny he said these things, so he tries the only verbal defense he can think of to save his job – he calls himself a liar. When it dawns on him that this won’t work, he tries to use the force of law by saying that they can’t video tape him, that it is illegal. When that doesn’t work, he begins to literally grab their video equipment and break it! Clearly, this is not a person who is used to attacking people – he is swept up with his fear and anger but just has no clue how to go about actually doing damage.

Finally, he tries to bring the police in to confiscate the digital equipment. This person is desperate. Crazy out of his mind with fear. He is so frightened that his fear clearly overwhelmed his ability to comport himself with dignity. Dr. Jordan Walker knows how dangerous Pfizer and the government is. They know what he has done. The only question is, what will Pfizer and its allies do next?

I hope that Dr. Walker has good security. We have been living with Pfizer’s allies and various governments on our backs for the past two years. It is not fun and it is not something I would wish on anyone, even Dr. Walker.

But in the meantime, more evidence about vaccine effectiveness from Russell:

“CHD Sues FDA to Obtain Documents Related to VAERS Reports on COVID Vaccine Injuries, Deaths — Children’s Health Defense today filed a federal lawsuit against the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to obtain documents related to the agency’s safety monitoring of COVID-19 vaccines through the Vaccine Adverse Events Reporting System database.”
    By The Defender Staff

EXCERPT: “Children’s Health Defense (CHD) today filed a lawsuit in D.C. Federal Court against the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to obtain documents related to the agency’s safety monitoring of the COVID-19 vaccines through the Vaccine Adverse Events Reporting System (VAERS) database.

The lawsuit alleges the FDA violated provisions of the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) by refusing to provide key analysis of reports in the vaccine safety database. CHD submitted the FOIA request in July 2022.

The FDA claimed the records sought are fully exempt from disclosure under FOIA because they are part of internal and intra-agency memoranda that include opinions and discussions protected by law, and because the records include discussions of legal and policy matters protected by attorney-client privilege.

Mary Holland, CHD president and general counsel, took issue with the FDA’s position. “The public must have truthful, complete information about the risks and benefits of these drugs, and others,” Holland told The Defender.

FDA analyzes VAERS data but doesn’t make its results public — The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the FDA jointly administer VAERS, a database that allows healthcare professionals and others to file reports about vaccine-related injuries. While reports don’t prove causality, the CDC considers VAERS to be a key “early warning system” for detecting unusual or unexpected patterns of adverse event reporting that can signal safety problems with a vaccine.

According to the co-sponsored VAERS’ “Standard Operating Procedures for COVID-19,” dated January 2021, the CDC and the FDA would coordinate monitoring for “potential new safety concerns for COVID-19 vaccines” by performing routine VAERS surveillance.”

“4 Giant Chemical Companies’ Control of Global Food System Threatens Health, Environment–The world’s four largest agrochemical companies exert increasing leverage over an agricultural system where the concentration of power and wealth threatens health, the environment and access to food, according to a new report.”
    By Beyond Pesticides

EXCERPT: “The four largest agrochemical companies — Bayer (Monsanto), BASF, Corteva and Sinochem (which recently acquired ChemChina/Syngenta) — are exerting increasing leverage over an agricultural system where the concentration of power and wealth threatens health, the environment and access to food, according to a new report.

The report, by Philip H. Howard, Ph.D., updates previous Howard’s previous work (see here and here) on these trends during the past couple of decades, focusing on the most recent (2018-2022) developments. Howard, a food system researcher, is a member of International Panel of Experts on Sustainable Food Systems and a professor at Michigan State University.

The machinations of these industries for profit, power, market penetration and privatization of aspects of the natural world are hardly new. The National Sustainable Agriculture Coalition summarizes some aspects of the situation: “Land and seed once belonged to no one and were shared by all, replicating the giving essence of the natural world. Today, these precious resources are tightly controlled and commoditized inputs.

“The modern U.S. food and agriculture system is designed to maximize a narrow concept of economic efficiency which fails to prioritize the well-being of small family farmers, rural communities, or the land.”

Increasing mechanization, industrialization, consolidation and privatization of genetic information and data all contribute to the dynamic and entropic world in which conventional agriculture currently operates.

Aspects of the shifting paradigms in agriculture during the past 75 years can be traced to multiple factors, including World War II innovations in materials science, chemical weapons development and other technologies; the so-called “Green Revolution”; advances in genetic science and biotechnology in the last couple of decades; and most recently, the advent of uses of Big Data and the technologies that enable it.

To begin with one of those: the dawn of genetically modified seed that would resist the assaults of applied herbicides was a game changer for the agrochemical industry and ratcheted up sector consolidation (see below).

Glyphosate-resistant seed meant that farmers could plant the seed and use Roundup (glyphosate) liberally because it would not harm the plant — but would knock down weeds.”

“His Researchgate page has been wiped, his LinkedIn page removed, but nevertheless, here is an entire dossier and Dr. Jordan Trishton Walker. His papers are on Pubmed, his resume is known. Use responsibly. https://brianoshea.substack.com/p/who-is-jordon-trishton-walker

From that link: “Who is “Jordon Trishton Walker”? Project Veritas recently released a video featuring “Jordon Trishton Walker,” Pfizer executive who revealed shocking new info. But finding anything about him is tough. Here is what I’ve found so far.

    Brian O’Shea
    Jan 26

BACKGROUND: NEW YORK – [Jan. 25, 2023] “Project Veritas released a new video today exposing a Pfizer executive, Jordon Trishton Walker, who claims that his company is exploring a way to ‘mutate’ COVID via ‘Directed Evolution’ to preempt the development of future vaccines.” -Project Veritas

Essentially Dr. Walker said a lot that I think we all suspected but now we can be pretty sure we knew. So is he an actual Pfizer Senior Executive? So far it looks like he’s the real deal, though he may be on loan to Pfizer from the Boston Consulting Group (“BCG”). However, like with any case, I put my excitement aside and started to do what I do as a standard practice in my work as a Private Intelligence and Security Consultant: Human Capital Due Diligence (aka Due Diligence on Human Sources). I don’t want to waste time with lots of narrative, so I will just share what I’ve found since 8pm.

(Disclaimer: I love and respect Project Veritas and their work is excellent. This in no way indicates I doubt their due diligence practices. I just like to check things out for myself when I cannot see sources or citations which were not available when the video first came out. All the same, they did, in fact do excellent due diligence which became available throughout tonight during a 3 hour Twitter Spaces conference hosted by Project Veritas.).

(Disclaimer 2: All information found is publicly available. It may be hard to find soon, so I have indexed every URL cited here on WayBack Machine and have downloaded PDF – Print versions of every page mentioned here).

(I also wanted to give a gigantic THANK YOU to Project Veritas! They are all heroes, and we should all support their work in anyway we can!)

The key takeaways that I want to highlight, based on the results below are somewhat chilling in the context of the “pandemic,” Covid-19, Pfizer’s and the FDA’s cozy relationship with China, and the timing of Dr. Walker’s experience with the pandemic and all of its outcomes:

    — He helped create market forecasts for therapeutics related to oncology in 2021 (Operation Moonshot comes to mind).

    — He “conducted impact evaluation of Value-Based Payment models and COVID-related changes in hospital reimbursement policies for a US federal health agency”. (Does this mean Boston Consulting Group or Pfizer or both were working with the US government to actually create POLICIES THAT AFFECT US TAXPAYERS???)

    — He took a BCG sponsored Mandarin (Chinese) language and business immersion course…RIGHT BEFORE THE PANDEMIC HIT THE UNITED STATES. Does this mean BCG and/or their Clients (who are either Pfizer, the US Government, or both) knew that these vaccines would be (or were already) being made in China? Business immersion (I am guessing business terms and colloquialisms) was also a focus. Does this mean he and his Clients knew in 2019 or earlier that a mass vaccination/pharma boom was about to hit that both the CCP (who control the Chinese pharma industry and, of course, all of the BSL-4 labs the research occurred in) & Pfizer et al would be partnered on?

    — He is clearly a marketing specialist in the pharma space. Was Dr. Walker one of the “Vaccine Confidence” team members that created the strategy to manipulate the American population into taking an experimental, and as we now know dangerous/deadly mRNA experimental shot?

    — Did he actually go to Yale? Only one profile lists his attendance there.”

I was standing at the bar one night minding my own business.
This fat ugly chick came up behind me, grabbed my behind and said,
“You’re kinda cute. You gotta phone number?”
I said, “Yeah, you gotta pen? She said, “Yeah, I got a pen”.
I said, “You better get back in it before the farmer misses you.”
    Cost me 6 stitches…but,
    When you’re over seventy…………who cares?
    *********
I went to the drug store and told the clerk “Give me 3 packets of condoms, please.”
Lady Clerk: “Do you need a paper bag with that, sir?”
    I said “Nah… She’s purty good lookin’…..”
    When you’re over seventy…………who cares?
    ***********
I was talking to a young woman in the VFW last night. She said, “If you lost a few pounds, had a shave and got your hair cut, you’d look alright.
I said, if I did that, I’d be talking to your friends over there instead of you.
Cost me a fat lip, but… When you’re over seventy…………who cares?
    **********
I was telling a woman in the Club about my ability to guess what day a woman was born just by feeling her breasts.
“Really,” she said, “Go on then.. try.”
After about thirty seconds of fondling she began to lose patience and said, “Come on, what day was I born?
    I said, “Yesterday.”
Cost me a kick in the nuts, but… When you’re over seventy…………who cares?

  20. “Local Hen Surpasses Elon Musk In Net Worth”
    LOCAL · Jan 26, 2023 · BabylonBee.com

“WOOSTER, OH — With egg prices soaring to historic highs, multi-billionaire Elon Musk has been dethroned as world’s richest after local farmer Old Man Hopkins reported that his New Hampshire Red — who he had named “Hen” — had surpassed Musk in net worth.

“Bok bok,” said the hen in response to the news of her newly-laid riches.

“Cluck, cluck, cluck,” continued the hen to a horde of finance journalists who had swarmed Old Man Hopkins’ farm in hopes of getting a sound bite from the world’s wealthiest animal, which they, in fact, did. “Bok, bok, bu-GAWK!”

With that final “bu-gawk,” the hen then laid another golden capsule of vast riches, thus earning the prosperous poultry a total net worth surpassing the GDP of Botswana, Uruguay, Mongolia, and Indonesia combined.

Old Man Hopkins admitted owning the affluent fowl was not easy, recounting that just this morning he had already turned away dozens of crypto entrepreneurs, big brands looking for endorsements, and Elizabeth Warren carrying a satchel for collecting taxes. He added that the hen now had a security detail 24/7.

“But I gotta say, wealth has its perks,” said Hopkins as he hopped in his Bugatti tractor and began plowing the field for spring planting.

At publishing time, a visibly envious Elon Musk had reportedly begun repurposing all Tesla factories into massive chicken coops.”

Frankly, I’d prefer we stay in the 20’s than have all that ice hidden under the snow. When I walk out to the tree to put corn out, I only sink a little bit because the lower layers have turned to ice. Even as small as I am, I should sink thru the snow. Speaking of which…..need to put out more corn and refill the open feeders before the weather turns.
