You place the dome in your hand, turn it over and beautifully, magically the item inside is engulfed in a swirling slow-motion blizzard. Everyone can relate to them – evoking a childhood memory or nostalgia of a simpler time. The first mention of a snow globe featured a man with an umbrella displayed at the Paris Exposition of 1878. It was later suggested that the globes were created to commemorate the Tower’s inauguration.
A few years later, a Viennese man Edwin Perzy developed the same idea when researching a way to improve operating room light..He used a glass globe filled with water, hoping to create a magnifying lens by increasing refraction. To enhance the reflected light, Perzy put ground glass in the water. When it quickly sank, he tried semolina which floated slowly to the bottom of the globe. It did nothing to improve the light quality, but the snowfall inspired him to make his first snow globe: he carved a small house and inserted it into the globe.
Mass production began in the US during the 1920s. Joseph Garaja of Pittsburgh was granted a patent in 1927, which altered how snow globes were made. His method needed the spheres to be assembled underwater, removing any trapped air. This ingenious method made it possible for the industry to go into mass production, which drastically lowered the prices of globes.
However, by the early 1960s, glass snow globes had been overtaken by plastic Hong Kong-made globes. It was soon discovered that the water in their spheres was filthy, obtained directly from their port. As a result, a Hong Kong snow globe producer got into significant trouble and was temporarily barred from entering the United States.
The “snow” in snow globes has a fascinating backstory as well. Snow was previously created in glass domes using tiny porcelain, bone chips, or ground rice. Camphor/wax, as well as meerschaum, was also used to make these snowflakes. Today, most “snow” is tiny particles or shards of white plastic. Also, the liquid hasn’t always been water; at one point, light oil was used. In addition, glycol (antifreeze) was added to help with the problem of freezing during winter shipping.
The snow globe fell out of favor in the 1970’s when it epitomized kitsch –but have evolved into something more sophisticated, intricate and valued among designers and collectors. Novelty gift manufacturers have upgraded the designs and components making them unique gift items often including beautifully modelled landscapes.
Some incorporate lights, music and motors eliminating the need for shaking. Many high-end department stores introduce a custom design every year to commemorate the Christmas season.
Snow globes have become an increasingly popular collectible for both antique and novelty globes. Actor, Corbin Bernsen may be the most prolific collector with about 8,000 – he began collecting snow globes in the ‘80’s. “There’s something that happens to a collector, this internal voice that says, ‘I want to have one of each that is in existence,’” Bernsen says.
Originally the globes were made of glass and the figures inside were made of porcelain, bone, metals, minerals, rubber or wax. The snow or “flitter” as it’s called, could have been ground rice, wax, soap, sand, bone fragments, meerschaum, metal flakes or sawdust. Producers tried everything. The base was either round or square and may have been of stone, marble, ceramic or wood. Some are quite bizarre!!!
“Snow domes are not only fascinating to look at, to hold, to play with, they are folk art,” says collector Nancy McMichael, author of Snowdomes (Abbeville Press). “They are a bridge back to an idealized past we think existed but is actually in our head. It is something we carry with us.”

I used to have one or two around but now the only one I have is one Piper made for me in a glass jar – not sure what the liquid is (probably just water) – but it’s filled with glitter, with “Piper” printed on the outside. It’s tucked away in my memory box for someone to find someday. When I was a child, I collected spoons.

No, I sold them during one of our down times, when we hauled everything we owned to various pawn shops, trying to make rent…..as a child, I would pick up souvenir spoons anytime we went anywhere on vacation.

oh, that’s a shame!
when we started to take our Harley on “tours” I wanted a souvenir from each state. being we were on a bike, it couldn’t be big or glass and getting things shipped home would be expensive. i opted for charm which i kept on a key chain…it must still be in my leather jacket pocket…I’ll have to look sometime…LOL

Huh….I still have my charm bracelet from when I was a young teen……who knows where that will go someday….doesn’t really matter in the end. It’s junk in reality.

I don’t even have a bracelet…lol…
i got as far as about 20 charms on a keychain…and the charms I chose for each state aren’t necessarily for what the state is known for…
for instance…we were at a mcd’s getting coffee one morning in Minnesota, when we met the coolest guy–talked longer than we expected–he offered to let us stay at his cabin overnight if we wanted–we didn’t–but he was a nice guy, so I got a hamburger charm for Minnesota…LOL
my keychain is a LARGE heart engraved with “Home is Where the Heart Is”…
gotta find that…maybe next week if I remember

It’s been nearly 60 years since an American President was brutally assassinated in public. The official story is a radicalized communist, Lee Harvey Oswald, shot John F. Kennedy as he drove through Dallas on November 22, 1963. Oswald was captured but was shot also on live tv by Jack Ruby, a nightclub owner, as he was being transferred.
If those are the true facts, why are there classified documents the general public is STILL not allowed to see. What is the rest of the story?

Here’s a photo of the 50 National Security “experts” who signed a letter asserting that Hunter Biden’s Laptop was Russian disinformation.
Don’t let them BS you. They knew they were lying & did it anyway.
This was actual election meddling.
Time for them to answer for it. Image
They new the media would take their letter as gospel and use it to bury and discredit the story and also keep the @nypost banned from social media.
Our own government influenced the 2020 election far more than Russia ever did (they didn’t) in 2016.

This is the next step down from abortion. If you cant kill enough babies, then make them suffer for the rest of their lives. The parents should be charged with child abuse, these dr. mengeles should have their medical licenses removed and thrown in prison for child abuse, and at the LEAST richard lavine should resign.

“Winter Shortages Are Looking Even Worse Than We Thought” — If you believe in coincidences, you won’t see anything unnatural about the perfect storm of events that is hitting us all right now. If you believe in coincidences, you’re missing the point.
JD Rucker
EXCERPT: “If there ever needed to be more evidence that the globalist elite cabal and their minions in the Biden-Harris regime were manufacturing shortages, we simply need to look at the various situations forming a perfect storm of crises. There is nothing natural about shortages hitting food, energy, medications, and pretty much everything else at the same time. And no, it’s not “Russia Russia Russia” that’s causing it all to happen.
The only thing we don’t have a shortage of is more authoritarian government. Our dystopian future is forming before our eyes as DC plunges us deeper into debt both as a nation as well as for individuals and families. It’s all leading us toward “necessary” centralization of monetary control through central bank digital currencies. They don’t want to force most Americans to accept the Digital Dollar. They want a majority to be begging for them.
The easiest people to control are those who ask to be controlled. Readers of my articles and listeners of my shows are generally adamantly opposed to being controlled, expanding government, or embracing the various public-private partnerships that are popping up in every industry. But we’re a dwindling minority. No, that’s not to say that a majority of Americans are budding Neo-Marxists. Our problem isn’t with ideology. Our problem is with passion. Even many who oppose such things as CBDCs will not fight by our side against them. They’ll begrudgingly accept them because everyone else is. The herd mentality, even among most individualists and patriots, is becoming all-too common.
It’s as if many if not most conservatives have given up. This is by design.”

it was crazy–I expected as much. there was one lady rolling thru the aisles on a mission and i saw here several times in less than a minute…searching, searching, finally I had to ask…are you looking for anything in particular? frozen pie crusts! she exclaimed. I told her they were in the first frozen food aisle near the end by the cool whip. Her eyes lit up and off she ran yelling THANK YOU over her shoulder…LOL
other than that, just a busy shopping day there, except there were a LOT of idiotic kids (maybe 10 yrs old) dancing in the aisles…pretty annoying. moms must have been in other aisles but these kids found “empty” aisles and were dancing and being really rude–not moving when they see people coming…sigh
and then there was the whole the bathrooms overflowed and were closed–and the foul smelling bathrooms were right in the front where the checkouts were. luckily walmart had 4 registers open instead of their usual ONE and was moving people in and out quickly. I pity the poor cashiers tho.
and on the way home, since it was already dark, I noticed no less than half a dozen homes had their Christmas trees up and lit already!!!
gees can we get thru one holiday first????

IKR? With Thanksgiving not even over yet! It is ALL far too commercialized!!! You must have a small WM…..ours has at least 15 check-outs or more….and it’s not a Super WM either! Most of them are the self-checkouts now but there are always at least 2 or 3 people around to help. Tomorrow will be my big shopping day for the month. Still a lot of boxes on pallets sitting around everywhere and now they’ve gotten the aisles so narrow, 2 people can’t even pass each other! Gotta stuff more crap into every spare inch of space!!!

“Senate Democrats demand the FTC launches investigation into Elon Musk’s Twitter — Just weeks after Musk took control.”
By Christina Maas
Posted 3:41 pm
ENTIRE ARTICLE: “Several Democrat senators, including Elizabeth Warren and Richard Blumenthal, sent a letter to the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) asking it to investigate the changes made by Elon Musk to Twitter. We obtained a copy of the letter for you here. The senators said that the changes are “alarming.”
“Twitter’s new Chief Executive Officer, Elon Musk, has taken alarming steps that have undermined the integrity and safety of the platform, and announced new features despite clear warnings those changes would be abused for fraud, scams, and dangerous impersonation. According to media reports, in prioritizing increasing profits and cutting costs, Twitter’s executives have dismissed key staff, scaled back internal privacy reviews, and forced engineers to take on legal liability for new changes — preventing managers and staff tasked with overseeing safety and legal compliance from reviewing the product updates,” the senators wrote in the letter.
They further claimed that the layoff of the company’s cybersecurity and privacy teams put user data at risk.
“[K]ey Twitter executives responsible for the platform’s privacy, cybersecurity, and integrity resigned last week, further calling into question whether personal data is adequately protected from misuse or breach while the company explores new products and monetization strategies,” the letter said.
The senators claimed that hate has increased on the platform, although they did not provide evidence to support their claim. “[Musk’s] misguided changes come at a time when Twitter is facing coordinated campaigns of racist, misogynistic, and antisemitic harassment, attempting to exploit the change in ownership to spread hate and vitriol,” they wrote.
Last week, the FTC said it would be “tracking recent developments at Twitter with deep concern. No CEO or company is above the law, and companies must follow our consent decrees.”

send them BACK…don’t resettle them elsewhere!!! migrants set fire to their housing complex where Dutch students also reside…
entire article
A major fire broke out in a large housing complex in the west of Amsterdam where young military-age migrants who have just been given residency permits live alongside Dutch students. The police arrested a 27-year-old migrant living for free in the publicly-funded accommodations on suspicion of arson.
About 75 homes in the Startcomplex Riekerhaven apartment complex were set on fire, and part of the building collapsed. The fire brigade tried for hours to ensure that the fire would not spread to the other half of the block, with about sixty homes.
Although there were no human deaths or injuries, six cats and a lizard did not survive the fire. In addition, six residents had to be checked on-site by the paramedics because they had inhaled smoke, and six pet cats and a lizard were killed.
Migrants setting fire to their free tax-payer accommodations has become an established pattern in open borders Europe. Yet, shockingly, instead of migrants being held accountable for their criminal actions, European countries often reward them by setting them loose in Europe, which is likely why they set the camps on fire.
As reported previously at RAIR Foundation USA, Germany’s previous Chancellor, Angela Merkel, brought thousands of migrants into Germany from Greece after they set fire to their camp in Lesbos. Unfortunately, like many other “leaders,” she rewarded migrants with a new home instead of sending them back to their country of origin. Europe’s left-wing leaders would rather have dangerous migrants stay to dilute host cultures, ensure more votes, and help them seize power than protect their citizens.

Sticky wicket here, for sure!!! What IS a “religion????”
EXCERPTS: “An elementary school has approved an “After School Satan Club” in California, and parents are upset, according to news outlets. The club meets “at select public schools where Good News Clubs and other religious clubs meet,” according to the program’s website. The classes are “designed to promote intellectual and emotional development.”
Golden Hills Elementary School in Kern County’s Tehachapi approved the Satanic Temple and Reason Alliance sponsored program to begin on Dec. 5, and parents are sharing their opinions on Facebook, according to Tehachapi News. “Administrators of the Tehachapi Raves and Rants Facebook group shut down comments overnight at least once so they could sleep,” according to Tehachapi News. McClatchy News reached out to Tehachapi Unified School District on Nov. 21 and was awaiting a response.
A Nov. 15 letter obtained by the Bakersfield Californian and sent to parents by Tehachapi Unified School District Superintendent Stacey Larson-Everson said the district had approved the usage of the elementary school’s cafeteria to hold sessions of the “After School Satan Club.”
“By law, the District cannot discriminate among groups wishing to use TUSD facilities or distribute flyers to students based on viewpoint,” the letter said. Sheila Knight, a grandmother in Golden Hills, understands why the club should be allowed but can’t imagine sending a child to it, according to Fox News.
“I understand the school has to allow them because they allow other after-school programs such as The Good News Club, which is a Christian-based after-school program. That one I’m OK with, but I can’t imagine why anyone would want their child to attend this Satanic group,” Knight told the outlet.”
————-
After the 2001 Supreme Court ruling Good News Club v. Milford Central School, schools are not allowed to discriminate against religious speech if a religious organization offers a club on their premises.
“I’m not teaching these kids to be Satanic. I’m not teaching these kids that they need to hail Satan or identify as Satanists. What we’re doing is we’re thinking critical thinking, we’re teaching science, we’re teaching empathy and benevolence,” Paul Hicks, the leader for the new “After School Satan Club,” told KBAK.
The “After School Satan Club” instills seven fundamental tenets, according to its website:
— “One should strive to act with compassion and empathy toward all creatures in accordance with reason.”
— “The struggle for justice is an ongoing and necessary pursuit that should prevail over laws and institutions.”
— “One’s body is inviolable, subject to one’s own will alone.”
— “The freedoms of others should be respected, including the freedom to offend. To willfully and unjustly encroach upon the freedoms of another is to forgo one’s own.”
— “Beliefs should conform to one’s best scientific understanding of the world. One should take care never to distort scientific facts to fit one’s beliefs.”
— “People are fallible. If one makes a mistake, one should do one’s best to rectify it and resolve any harm that might have been caused.”
— “Every tenet is a guiding principle designed to inspire nobility in action and thought. The spirit of compassion, wisdom, and justice should always prevail over the written or spoken word.”
Tehachapi is about 120 miles north of Los Angeles.”

“Hi, this is Kari Lake, and I have a message to the people of Arizona and all Americans.
40 days ago, elections in Arizona officially started when mail-in ballots were sent out across our state. Election Day was 13 days ago, and Maricopa County is still counting ballots. Printer problems, tabulation errors, three-hour-long lines, and even longer, and confusing instructions given by election officials made this election day the most chaotic in Arizona’s history.
Half of voting centers that opened for the first time on Election Day, where the overwhelming majority of voters were voting for Kari Lake, were not operational or had significant failures. Would you get on an airplane if half of the engines didn’t work? Would our friends in the media be able to broadcast their nightly propaganda if only half of their studio equipment was working?
The 2022 general election in Arizona was botched and broken beyond repair. Thankfully, the Attorney General’s office is demanding answers from Maricopa County.
Attorney General Mark Brnovich is taking the first steps necessary to remedy this assault on our democracy. This isn’t about Republicans or Democrats. This is about our sacred right to vote, a right that many voters were sadly deprived of on November 8th.
Tens of thousands of you have reached out pleading with me to fight this fight. Rest assured I will, because if we give up now, we will no longer have a country.
Attorneys are working diligently to gather information. Whistleblowers are coming forward and the curtain is being lifted. Whether it was done accidentally or intentionally, it is clear that this election is a debacle that destroyed any trust in our elections.
Arizonans who choose to make their voice heard on Election Day should not be disenfranchised for choosing to vote in person, but they were. I want you to know, Arizona, that we will continue fighting until we restore confidence and faith in our elections.”

OH.MY.GOD!!!! They’ve got some SERIOUSLY fucked up people in Idaho!!!!
EXCERPT: “MOSCOW, Idaho – The Moscow Police Department said Monday that a dog found skinned head-to-tail on Oct. 21 is unrelated to the brutal murders of four University of Idaho students three weeks later. Pamela Colbert’s neighbors found her lost dog, a 12-year-old mini Australian shepherd, completely skinned just down the road from her home, which is several miles from the scene of the murders that occurred off-campus.
Colbert, 78, told Fox News Digital that she remembered at a Latah County Sheriff’s Office supervisor telling her: “This hasn’t been done by an animal. This was a human that did this.” Some locals feared that the grotesque incidents could be related, but law enforcement dispelled those rumors on Monday.

“Detectives are aware of a Latah County Sheriff’s Office incident of the report of a skinned dog and have determined it is unrelated to this incident,” the Moscow Police Department said in a short update on Monday evening. Her neighbor, Clint Hughes, has a fluffy Bernese Mountain Dog named Max, who ripped up his bed the same day Colbert’s dog was found dead near both of their properties in an area near a shed with overgrown grass.

“The sand cat (Felis margarita) is a small wild cat that inhabits sandy and stony deserts far from water sources. With its sandy to light grey fur, it is well camouflaged in a desert environment. Its head-and-body length ranges from 39–52 cm (15–20 in) with a 23–31 cm (9.1–12.2 in) long tail. Its 5–7 cm (2.0–2.8 in) short ears are set low on the sides of the head, aiding detection of prey moving underground. The long hair covering the soles of its paws insulates its pads against the extremely hot and cold temperatures in deserts.
The first sand cat known to science was discovered in the Algerian Sahara and described in 1858. To date, it has been recorded in several disjunct locations in Morocco, Algeria, Niger, Chad, Egypt, the Arabian Peninsula and the Middle East. In Central Asia, it was first recorded in the Karakum Desert in 1925.”

can they be domesticated?

Any animal can be domesticated if you get them young enough. Allowances would clearly have to be made, however, just like I always kept in the back of my mind that Spirit was part wolf. Your approach and method of handling them is quite different.

well see…YOU know that and would act accordingly…many people don’t respect that about some animals (that woman who’s face was torn off by her monkey comes to mind)

EXACTLY! It is soooo very sad – so many horses end up at auctions to be sold for their meat because some young girl got a hankering for a pony, with no idea whatsoever what it takes to train, maintain, handle, etc., etc. And let’s not even talk about all the dogs and cats in shelters or abandoned!!!! Stupid people just don’t THINK!!!! NEUTER, NEUTER, NEUTER!!!!

Heck, how about people choosing dog breeds totally unsuited to their lifestyle and expectations.
Without training & I don’t mean “dog school” your average terrier will end up owning you.
For that matter, it’s no mean feat to control 65 lbs. of Lab that won’t walk at heal…
Don’t get me started.

What really breaks my heart? Animals that are, at heart, some of THE most loving, loyal and intelligent animals (I’m thinking of my dog, Shelby) who have been totally and completely broken emotionally, such that they can no longer be trusted in any situation, and must be put down. It is so bad there is simply no other option. Such a waste and such cruelty!

Yes ☹️ The modern dog lives with our illusion that they function right out of the box.
With few exceptions dog breeds have come about as the result of a work need on the part of people.
There is no more contented dog than a dog doing work for its master. Training can be a substitute for work when the work is no longer possible. (A dachshund burrowing after a rat or badger ain’t happening any longer)

but as for the official footage–the 1400 hours of video–that’s probably going to the special jackass

“Bankman-Fried’s Parents, FTX Execs Bought $121 Million in Bahamas Real Estate”

ENTIRE ARTICLE @ FreeBeacon: “NEW PROVIDENCE, Bahamas (Reuters)—Sam Bankman-Fried’s FTX, his parents, and senior executives of the failed cryptocurrency exchange bought at least 19 properties worth nearly $121 million in the Bahamas over the past two years, official property records show.
Most of FTX’s purchases were luxury beachfront homes, including seven condominiums in an expensive resort community called Albany, costing almost $72 million. The deeds show these properties, bought by a unit of FTX, were to be used as “residence for key personnel” of the company. Reuters could not determine who lived in the apartments.
The documents for another home with beach access in Old Fort Bay—a gated community that was once home to a British colonial fort built in the 1700s to protect against pirates—show Bankman-Fried’s parents, Stanford University law professors Joseph Bankman and Barbara Fried, as signatories. The property, one of the documents dated June 15 said, is for use as a “vacation home.”
When asked by Reuters why the couple decided to buy a vacation home in the Bahamas and how it was paid for—whether in cash, with a mortgage or by a third party such as FTX—a spokesman for the professors said only that Bankman and Fried had been trying to return the property to FTX.
“Since before the bankruptcy proceedings, Mr. Bankman and Ms. Fried have been seeking to return the deed to the company and are awaiting further instructions,” the spokesperson said, declining to elaborate.
While it is known that FTX and its employees bought real estate in the Bahamas, where it established its headquarters in September last year, the property records seen by Reuters show for the first time the scale of their buying spree and the intended use of some of the real estate. FTX, which filed for bankruptcy earlier this month after a rush of customer withdrawals, did not respond to a request for comment. Bankman-Fried did not respond to requests for comment. Bankman-Fried has told Reuters he lived in a house with nine other colleagues. For his employees, he said FTX provided free meals and an “in-house Uber-like” service around the island.
The collapse of FTX, one of the world’s largest crypto currency exchanges, has left an estimated 1 million creditors facing losses totalling billions of dollars. Reuters has reported Bankman-Fried secretly used $10 billion in customer funds to prop up his trading business, and that at least $1 billion of those deposits had vanished.
In a U.S. court filing with the District of Delaware bankruptcy court earlier this month, John Ray, FTX’s new chief executive, said he understood that corporate funds of the FTX Group were used to “purchase homes and other personal items for employees and advisors.”
Reuters could not determine the source of funds that FTX and its executives used to buy these properties.
PROPERTY PURCHASES
Reuters searched property records at the Bahamas Registrar General’s Department for FTX, Bankman-Fried, his parents and some of the company’s key executives. FTX Property Holdings Ltd, an FTX unit, bought 15 properties worth nearly $100 million in 2021 and 2022. Its most expensive purchase was a $30 million penthouse at the Albany, a resort where Tiger Woods hosts a golf tournament every year. The property records for the penthouse, dated March 17, were signed by Ryan Salame, the president of FTX Property, and showed it was intended as “residence for key personnel.” Salame did not respond to a request for comment.
Other high-end real estate purchases include three condominiums at One Cable Beach, a beachfront residence in New Providence. Records showed the condominiums cost between $950,000 and $2 million and were bought by Nishad Singh, the former head of engineering at FTX, Gary Wang, an FTX co-founder, and Bankman-Fried for residential use. Singh and Wang did not respond to requests for comment.
Two of FTX Property’s real estate holdings were marked for commercial use—an $8.55 million cluster of houses that served as FTX’s headquarters, and a 4.95-acre plot of land on the coastline overlooking cyan waters that was also meant to be developed into office space for the crypto exchange.
The FTX headquarters is now unoccupied, with furniture pushed against some windows. Its signage has been removed. The plot of land, which cost $4.5 million, also lies empty. A security guard said employees did not return to the headquarters after leaving earlier this month.”

some popular tax return services sent private financial data to facebook
FTA
Each year, the Internal Revenue Service processes about 150 million individual returns filed electronically, and some of the most widely used e-filing services employ the pixel, The Markup found.
When users sign up to file their taxes with the popular service TaxAct, for example, they’re asked to provide personal information to calculate their returns, including how much money they make and their investments. A pixel on TaxAct’s website then sent some of that data to Facebook, including users’ filing status, their adjusted gross income, and the amount of their refund, according to a review by The Markup. Income was rounded to the nearest thousand and refunds to the nearest hundred. The pixel also sent the names of dependents in an obfuscated — but generally reversible — format.
TaxAct, which says it has about 3 million “consumer and professional users” also uses Google’s analytics tool on its website, and The Markup found similar financial data, but not names, being sent to Google through its tool.
TaxAct wasn’t the only tax filing service using the Meta Pixel. Tax preparation giant H&R Block, which also offers an online filing option that attracts millions of customers per year, embedded a pixel on its site that gathered information on filers’ health savings account usage and dependents’ college tuition grants and expenses.
TaxSlayer, another widely used filing service, sent personal information to Facebook as part of the social media company’s “advanced matching” system, which gathers information on web visitors in an attempt to link them to Facebook accounts. The information gathered through the pixel on TaxSlayer’s site included phone numbers, the name of the user filling out the form, and the names of any dependents added to the return. As with TaxAct, specific demographic information about a user was obfuscated but still usable for Facebook to link a user to an existing profile. TaxSlayer has said it completed 10 million federal and state tax returns last year.
The Markup also found the pixel code on a tax preparation site operated by a financial advice and software company called Ramsey Solutions, which uses a version of TaxSlayer’s service. That pixel gathered even more personal data from a tax return summary page, including information on income and refund amounts. This information was not sent immediately upon visiting the page but only when visitors clicked drop-down headings to see more details of their report.
Even Intuit, the company that runs America’s dominant online filing software, employed the pixel. Intuit’s TurboTax, however, did not send financial information to Meta but, rather, usernames and the last time a device signed in. The company kept the pixel entirely off pages beyond sign-in.

DISGUSTING!!!!!!!!!!! mold growing on the walls? wood and metal in the product? AND the PA dept of ag finds NO nonconformance with regulations
entire article
A food processing plant belonging to one of the biggest faux meat companies is riddled with bacteria and food safety violations.
Internal documents and photos from the Beyond Meat plant in metro Philadelphia paint a picture of dangerous conditions with possible repercussions for consumers.
Bloomberg obtained the evidence from plant whistleblowers, publishing the findings in a Monday report.
A food safety attorney interviewed by Bloomberg indicated that the conditions at the plant were seriously unhygienic.
“If neat and tidy is one and filthy is 10, I’d put this at an eight,” attorney Bill Marler said of the plant.

“Mold growth takes a while — that underscores a lack of cleanliness.”
Purported photos from the faux meat plant — a 45-minute drive on the Pennsylvania Turnpike from Philadelphia — show mold growing on walls, as well as soiled containers used in food preparation.
Photos and internal documents from a Beyond Meat plant in Pennsylvania show apparent mold, Listeria and other food-safety issues, compounding problems at a factory the company had expected to play a major role in its future https://t.co/zZCgp4WQg6 pic.twitter.com/CdjeGR9EbK
— Bloomberg (@business) November 21, 2022
Plant-based “meats” manufactured at the facility were found infected with the bacteria Listeria at least 11 different times since the second half of 2021, according to documents obtained by Bloomberg.
The food-borne infectious bacteria can cause illness for those who consume it, and it contains serious health risks for pregnant women, according to the Food and Drug Administration.
The FDA is yet to make a safety inspection of Beyond Meat’s Pennsylvania facility since the public company acquired the plant, according to Bloomberg.
Internal plant documents also suggested that inorganic materials like wood, string and metal had been found inside Beyond Meat products engineered at the facility.
In spite of this, the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture “found no instances of nonconformance with regulations,” hailing Beyond Meat’s food safety protocols in reports that followed March and September plant visits, according to Bloomberg.
Beyond Meat declined to comment when questioned on the documents and photos by Bloomberg.
The company produces plant-based products made to resemble hamburger patties, sausages, and other staple meats.
Economic prospects for the faux meat industry have taken a turn for the worse in 2022, with demand for the chemically engineered meat alternatives failing to materialize as investors anticipated.
Proponents of fake meat point to it as an environmentally preferable alternative to the animal products that humans have consumed for thousands of years.

“ALERT: Joe Biden Becomes First Octogenarian President in American History — Happy birthday, Sleepy Joe!”

ENTIRE ARTICLE @ FreeBeacon: “What happened: President Joe Biden etched his name in the history books on Sunday by celebrating his 80th birthday and becoming America’s first octogenarian president. The White House doesn’t want you to know this because they’re concerned about “storylines surrounding [Biden’s] age.”
Why it matters: Sleepy Joe has exceeded the average male life expectancy in the United States by five whole years. Vice President Kamala Harris, one of the least likable and least competent politicians of her generation, would take power if tragedy were to befall the president. (Well, it’s not really a tragedy if you’re 80 years old, is it?) Harris becoming president would be the real tragedy. Even her former staffers are terrified at the thought of her succeeding Biden as commander in chief.
What they’re saying: The New York Times interviewed a bunch of “experts in aging” who “have not examined or treated” the president but nonetheless “agreed that Biden has a lot going in his favor.” See, there’s nothing to worry about!
Erasing history: The Democratic National Committee sent a fundraising email on Saturday urging supporters to sign a virtual birthday card for Biden to “celebrate everything he’s accomplished.” Alas, the email did not mention the Biden’s record-breaking age (80) or the fact that becoming the oldest president history is without a doubt the most significant accomplishment of his lifelong career in politics.
BIDEN’S HISTORIC ACHIEVEMENT, BY THE NUMBERS:
Birthday: November 20, 1942
Age: 80 years
U.S. average life expectancy (male): 75.1 years
Biden’s age on Inauguration Day (2025): 82.2 years
Biden’s age on Inauguration Day (2029): 86.2 years
U.S. presidents that lived longer than 86 years: 7/46
Acknowledged grandchildren: Six
Heartlessly disowned grandchildren: At least one
Other countries with octogenarian leaders: Cameroon, Iran, Saudi Arabia
U.S. president when Biden was born: Franklin D. Roosevelt (died at 63)
Most prominent world leader when Biden was born: Adolf Hitler (died at 56)
Number-one song when Biden was born: “White Christmas” by Bing Crosby
Number of microwaves in existence: Zero
Biden favorability rating: 43.8 percent
Harris favorability rating: 37.8 percent
BOTTOM LINE: Our president is old AF.”

“UN, think tanks promote 60 million migrants for ‘aging’ EU by 2050” — The EU claims the Great Replacement is a conspiracy theory, but the UN claims Europe needs to accept 60 million migrants by 2050, mostly from Africa

EXCERPT: “In the same week that the European Parliament voted in favor of a resolution labeling the Great Replacement theory as “racist,” the Spanish newspaper La Vanguardia reported that the United Nations, the Wittgenstein Center in Austria, and the Center for Global Development in Washington D.C. are all advocating that Europe needs at least 60 million migrants in the coming decades “to survive” and that most of this immigration should come from Africa.
The UN, which has long advocated for “replacement migration” as a solution to Europe’s aging population, is now warning that Europe will not gain these migrants “if it does not stop being a fortress against immigration,” according to the Spanish paper.
The UN estimates that in 2050, the EU will have a shortage of 60.8 million workers, and the Wittgenstein Center for Demography and Global Human Capital argues this shortage will be even higher, placing it at 72.7 million. Both organizations are using their own estimates to advocate for further mass immigration.”
