still pretty dark out there and cold I’m guessing.
Deer love pumpkins, but you have to start them first…lol
we haven’t bought any yet, but when we do, we cut them in half–they love the seeds and guts and the other animals as well.
How do i know? The first year I lined the steps with pumpkins–looked adorable. Then DURING THE DAY i watched a deer, with her leg/hoof paw one to the ground when she stepped on it till it broke. soon a whole bunch were on the ground. then we caught raccoons (on the trail cam) launching some down from the top steps. Those busted on the steps making a mess.
Now I buy some and cut one in half and put those at the tree stump and when that’s gone, I’ll do another. LOL
see what today brings…

Some good news from northwestern Ohio: a Catholic group helping people who have been homeless, but who have found employment and need some help to establish themselves in a rental house or apartment, reported that one chapter in a small city helped nearly 30 individuals, some with families, in two months.
The group had expected to receive about 4 or 5 applications per month!
Given that the employment for such people might have been difficult to find, this shows a rapidly improving economy for unskilled labor and for entry into employment for on-the-job training to become skilled.
Another small city is hosting a Job Fair: a record number of companies – 70! – signed up to attract new employees for their new or expanding businesses!
Two small, localized examples, but I suspect that for a Red State like Ohio, this might augur an improving future for America, thanks to President TRUMP’S pro-America Policies!
Blue States, however, might remain blue in two senses!

Just The News: “Customs and Border Protection officials reportedly intercepted a smuggling vessel off the coast of Florida that carried foreign nationals, including over a dozen Chinese nationals, Fox News reported on Monday.
Officials told the outlet that the 27-foot boat was carrying nearly two dozen foreign nationals, including 13 Chinese nationals, and that all passengers were taken into custody without incident last week.
The interdiction, which was also carried out by Coast Guard personnel, resulted in the apprehension of one suspected smuggler, one Cuban national, 13 Chinese nationals, eight Ecuadorian nationals and one Dominican national.
Sources told Fox News that it is rare for Chinese nationals to attempt to enter the U.S. through maritime Caribbean routes that are typically used by Haitians, Dominicans and Cubans and often used land routes in California and Texas.
Officials said the illegal immigrants were transferred to the U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Pablo Valent for processing and authorities seized the vessel.
The incident comes after the Coast Guard interdicted a vessel carrying 25 Chinese nationals attempting to illegally enter the United States a mile south of Key Biscayne, Florida, in June.”

Trump condemned the news coverage of him as “biased news,” highlighting that some of his successes have been ignored by the mainstream outlets.
“It’s just biased news,” Trump said in a news conference in New York City on Monday. “I think that these outlets have an obligation to be fair, and if they’re fake news, I really think I have an obligation not to allow them.”

I’ve got an ash tree next to my shed, some kind of maple on the east side, and an ash tree and Chinese Elm on the back fenceline – the Elm loses more and more limbs every year and it won’t be too much longer before it will need to come down. Hopefully after I’m gone! I forget what kind of tree I’ve got on the east but there are also 2 blue spruce there, and 2 blue spruce on the west end of the house. Not to mention my willow tree.

Bryan is the son of Dolly’s younger sister, Cassie Parton, and Larry Seaver. He had also spent more than 20 years working as Dolly’s head of security, taking over the role from his father. That long-standing professional and family connection made Bryan the person Dolly reportedly trusted with one of the most difficult tasks imaginable: telling the public she had passed away.
Announcing the news on behalf of the Parton and Owens families, Bryan appeared in an emotional video shared through Dolly’s official social media accounts. He explained that Dolly had asked him to make the video years earlier.

“According to the notice, Bryan and his security companies were reportedly dismissed from providing security at Dolly’s properties. Replacement guards reportedly arrived at her main Nashville home, while a new team also took over security at her museum, downtown residence, and warehouse.
The notice reportedly came from the DP Dean Trust, which oversees Dolly’s properties and business affairs following her passing. It also reportedly clarified that Bryan’s personal interest or inheritance in the trust was not affected by his removal from the security role.
The exact reason for the reported termination has not been publicly disclosed.”

While Trump floated the purchase of Greenland during both of his terms, he ultimately concluded a security agreement with Copenhagen to keep out non-NATO military bases and expand U.S. access to the island.
“As I announced just days ago, the United States has also reached an unprecedented agreement regarding the northern frontier of North America, the large and strategically vital piece of land known as Greenland,” Trump said during his speech at the United Nations General Assembly. “This agreement made with the Kingdom of Denmark, incredible, beautiful country, and the Greenland people itself, gives the United States permanent control over security and all other needs on that territory, we will have the complete ability to do what is necessary to defend the American continent and also Europe and other places.”
“We will immediately begin the process of developing a large military presence in the appropriate locations. We will be building two very major military bases. This agreement will be signed later today,” he said.
Greenland is of potentially pivotal security importance to the U.S. for securing the Arctic Ocean and its resources. At present, only Denmark, the U.S., Canada, Norway, and the U.S. have a meaningful presence in the region.”

If the Dems/MSM are collaborating with “enemy combatants,” doesn’t that make them enemy combatants as well?
I wish more people would see what is actually going on here. Trump is openly telling us that we are at war with the trans-national criminal organization known as the Deep State, and their global terror assets, which is mostly Iran and their terror proxies in the Middle East, and the drug cartels terrorizing and destabilizing the Western Hemisphere.
This is what Trump meant when promised to “obliterate the Deep State.” Trump and the US MIL are taking out the Deep State’s entire global terror network and bringing stability to the world. The Deep State cannot function if all nations maintain their sovereignty.

“The U.S. is in the midst of a ‘temperance boom’ of sorts. Drinking rates have been steadily declining nationwide, with an August Gallup poll showing that only 54% of Americans ever consume alcohol—sharply down from 67% as recently as 2010.
Now, a study in the Annals of Internal Medicine takes those findings a step further, reporting that younger adults in the Millennial and Gen Z cohorts – people born from 1981 to 2012 – are driving that trend. Meanwhile, older Americans, aged 50-74, are actually consuming more alcohol than they used to, with rates increasing by more than one third since 2018.
Americans saw a 2% drop in overall drinking and 8% in heavy drinking in just the 2022 to 2024 window. Total drinking dropped most dramatically among Gen Z, with rates falling nearly 6% from 2022 to 2024, compared with about 2% for Millennials. Heavy drinking fell by roughly a fifth in both generations.
Older Americans, however, went in the opposite direction, with those in the 50 to 74 age group seeing an increase of 4% in overall drinking, and 36% spike in heavy drinking from 2018 to 2024.
There’s a good reason we – well, me anyway – are drinking more. We see the country going to shit, our dollars going down the toilet, mothers killing their own babies, and lunatic lefties everywhere we look, and there’s little if anything we can do about it, so fuck it – why not, right?”
