The prosecutor also raised the disturbing possibility that the victims’ deaths had been known to whoever entered their home. ‘I don’t know if this home was specifically targeted because I believe it was in the media that the victims passed away,’ the prosecutor said. Garcia’s attorney, Paul Basile, however, offered a startling explanation. He produced a notarized document that he said came from Garcia’s family and allegedly authorized Garcia to enter the home and use the victims’ vehicles. The document immediately drew skepticism from the judge. ‘Oh I gotta see this,’ Glazer said. ‘Really?’ She questioned why the victims would have supposedly handed over access to their home and luxury cars to Garcia, given his criminal record. ‘Before they went on their vacation, they decided to give Mr Garcia authorization to use their vehicles, Mr. Garcia, who has a criminal history?’

I do sheets once a week, towels and the rest of the laundry twice a week. we use well water don’t forget, so doing smaller loads is best.

Just The News: “Flash floods in Nepal on Wednesday morning have killed at least 157 people and left hundreds of others, including tourists, missing. The massive flooding on the Bhotekoshi River also caused widespread damage to villages and infrastructure, according to the Associated Press.
Roughly 484 tourists, including 391 from countries such as India, the United States, the United Kingdom and Malaysia were reported missing. Nepal’s prime minister’s office said approximately 93 Nepalis are missing, according to Reuters.

The drug, called daraxonrasib, will be sold under the brand name Rasonque, was developed by biotech company Revolution Medicines, the New York Times reported.
The drug, which is taken as two pills per day, is not a cure, but it is the first treatment to substantially extend the lives of patients with pancreatic cancer. In a key clinical trial, patients receiving the drug achieved a median overall survival of 13.2 months, compared to 6.7 months for patients offered standard chemotherapy.
Some of the patients taking the drug through clinical trials lived for years.

And according to the State Department, A/I isn’t some innocent mom-and-pop internet provider that stumbled upon a few lunatics among its customers. Quite the opposite. The US government says they screened users for ideological approval before giving them access.

OK, I’m back…..still kinda confused but not as bad as before. I shouldn’t have to go to SS – she said they have sent a letter requesting the ability for the bank to just provide the new routing number. If not, they will send me a form that I can just drop off at the SS office vs. waiting forever for an appointment. Most of my bills I already pay on-line and I just need to change the routing number. There were only a couple I needed to contact to give the new # and that’s done.

Speaking of bats…..when we had our in-ground swimming pool, my parents enjoyed sitting out by the pool in the evening with a thermos of coffee. The bats would swoop down and drink from the pool and we’d sit and watch them.

Just The News: “President Donald Trump signed an executive order on Thursday renaming Lake Ontario to “Lake America.” Trump had announced on Monday his intention to do so amid tensions with Canada over tariffs.
“The United States is giving serious consideration to changing the name of Lake Ontario to Lake America in that we don’t expect to doing much business with Ontario any longer. Thank you for your attention to this matter!” Trump said in a post on Truth Social.
The president signed the executive order in the Oval Office that updated the lake’s name for the U.S. geographic naming service. Trump said the designation change is “effective immediately,” ABC News reported.
This is not the first time Trump has renamed a body of water after the country he leads. Shortly after taking office again in 2025, he renamed the Gulf of Mexico the “Gulf of America.”

People along the US East Coast woke up to an enormous glowing “jellyfish” in the sky on August 25. It was Falcon 9.
When a rocket climbs out of Earth’s shadow during twilight, sunlight illuminates its expanding exhaust plume high above the darker atmosphere, producing these spectacular glowing umbrellas.
This one was reportedly visible from Florida all the way to New York City. And despite suggestions this might be one of the last East Coast Falcon 9 jellyfish as Starship eventually takes over more Florida Starlink launches…
Don’t worry. If anything, Starship should produce an even bigger jellyfish. Because obviously.

down the highway there was a small town and the Army Corp of engineers flooded it to create a lake. when the water levels get low on the one end, you can see the tops of trees and a roof sometimes. there is no boating or swimming there though. it’s very eerie!!!
