JinWoo Kim, IQ 289
@JinWooIQ
The U.S. just deployed a weapon that was supposed to stay classified for another decade. And it changes EVERYTHING about this war.
https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/17.0.2/svg/1f6a8.svg THE U.S. NAVY JUST USED A LASER WEAPON IN COMBAT FOR THE FIRST TIME IN HISTORY. https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/17.0.2/svg/1f6a8.svg
CENTCOM released footage of the HELIOS system mounted on a destroyer off Iran’s coast. It’s shooting down drones with LIGHT.
Here’s why this is the most important military development since the atomic bomb:
THE PROBLEM:
→ Iran’s $20,000 Shahed drones were bankrupting the U.S. defense budget
→ Every Patriot interceptor costs $3-4 MILLION
→ Every THAAD interceptor costs $10 MILLION
→ The UAE alone intercepted 755 drones + 172 ballistic missiles — BILLIONS spent in ONE WEEK
→ Iran was WINNING the math. Spend $30K, force the enemy to spend $4M. Repeat.
→ That cost ratio was Iran’s most powerful weapon
THE SOLUTION:
→ HELIOS runs on ELECTRICITY
→ The cost of firing it: less than your monthly electric bill
→ No missiles to reload. No magazine to deplete. No resupply ship needed.
→ Unlimited shots. As fast as light. Against a $20,000 drone.
→ Iran spends $30,000 per drone. HELIOS spends PENNIES to destroy it.
THE MATH JUST FLIPPED:
https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/17.0.2/svg/26a0.svg Before HELIOS: Iran spends $30K → U.S. spends $4M to stop it. Iran wins.https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/17.0.2/svg/26a0.svg After HELIOS: Iran spends $30K → U.S. spends $0.50 to stop it. Iran LOSES.
→ Iran spent YEARS developing Shahed drone doctrine
→ The entire strategy was: “flood cheap drones, bankrupt the defense”
→ HELIOS makes that strategy OBSOLETE overnight
→ A weapon designed to bleed the U.S. dry just became target practice for a laser that costs nothing to fire
This is the first real combat test of directed energy weapons in history.
If it works at scale — and early reports say it DOES — then:
https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/17.0.2/svg/1f480.svg Iran’s drone advantage = GONEhttps://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/17.0.2/svg/1f480.svg The 200-to-1 cost ratio = REVERSEDhttps://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/17.0.2/svg/1f480.svg Every drone Iran launches = destroyed for pennieshttps://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/17.0.2/svg/1f480.svg Drone warfare as a strategy = DEAD before it even peakedhttps://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/17.0.2/svg/1f480.svg Every military on Earth that invested in drones = back to the drawing board
Iran just found out that the weapon it spent a decade perfecting can be defeated by a LASER running on a ship’s generator.
The future of warfare isn’t drones. It isn’t missiles. It’s directed energy.
And the U.S. just tested it in a live war zone.
Prepare accordingly. https://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/17.0.2/svg/1f6a8.svghttps://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/17.0.2/svg/1f6a8.svghttps://s.w.org/images/core/emoji/17.0.2/svg/1f6a8.svg
Follow — the biggest military technology shift since the nuclear bomb is happening RIGHT NOW.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The HELIOS system was not supposed to remain secret for the next decade nor was this the first time a laser weapon has been used. Data on HELIOS was publicly posted as early as 2022 and laser weapons have previously been used in Ukraine.

Sooooo….Mr. Jim Woo Kim is lying to everyone!!! Good to know! SMDH – I do believe I’d delete him from my Twitter list!!!

he lied about when it was supposed to be revealed to everyone, but not about the weapon itself. hell…all those congresspeople with stock in military weapons probably are SOL now. If this is cheaper than the missiles, production of said missile should go down right? we still need some, but hell pennies on the dollar to operate versus $3.4 million per interceptor is a BIG deal.
I didn’t know this existed, did you?

Off Topic,
I saw a post the other day where a guy in MI. said his Golf cart new lithium battery went into sleep mode being he ran it low and do to the cold weather, He contacted the manufacturer in China and they thru the Battery management system “BMS” woke the battery up and brought it back to a full charge, now it works perfectly again, the poster was amazed they can do that from China without any of his help, They have constant contact thru WiFi Bluetooth
A Thought I had!
” The answer is not good, Could cause wide spread fires, in your garage or anywhere a lithium powered ca,r golf cart or home back-up power, the list goes on!”
My question,
Beings china can control battery management system “BMS” in lithium metal cased batteries, can they influence the bms to cause battery damage if they wanted to?
Answer
Yes, because Chinese manufacturers control a significant portion of the Battery Management System (BMS) software and hardware, there is potential to influence them
. The BMS is the “brain” of a battery, managing charging speed, temperature, and safety, so manipulating these settings could cause damage like overheating, fire, or capacity failure.
BMS Control Risks: The BMS directly controls crucial factors like voltage limits (
–
) and temperature. If manipulated to ignore safety limits, a battery could be forced into a dangerous, overcharged state.
Production Integration: Chinese firms integrate these systems during production, often including internet-connected components in electric vehicles (EVs) that could, in theory, receive remote updates or commands.
Control over Value Chain: China controls ~77% of battery cell manufacturing, making it the dominant source of these systems.
System Integrity: While a properly functioning BMS prevents damage, tampering with its algorithms can create vulnerabilities, leading to short circuits, fires, or explosions.
Note: While the capability exists theoretically, there are no public reports of widespread, intentional, malicious damage to batteries through this method, but the security risks are increasingly discussed in the context of critical infrastructure.
But it is possible!
How about don’t have them connected to WiFi bluetooth unless you need it!

Pakistan just sent navy ships to escort oil tankers in the Gulf as U.S.-Iran tensions keep heating up around the Strait of Hormuz. The military says the idea is simple, keep ships moving and energy supplies safe. Pakistan depends a lot on Gulf oil and gas, and fuel prices already jumped about 20% last week, which caused long lines at petrol stations.

VIDEO (Matt Gaetz, Gen. Flynn)
“SITREP: IRAN CONFLICT UPDATE”
Michael T. Flynn LTG USA (RET), Mar 09, 2026
“Intercepted communications indicate Iranian sleeper cells inside the United States are being activated. This is the front that most Americans are not prepared for.
Iran’s Assembly of Experts has selected Mojtaba Khamenei as the new Supreme Leader. He is 56 years old, deeply tied to the IRGC, and more hardline than his father. He participated in the suppression of the 2009 protests. His power base is rooted in the most anti-American factions of Iran’s military and clerical establishment. The situation did not improve when we removed the previous leader. It rarely does.
Iran is executing a rope-a-dope strategy. They absorb strikes while expanding the battlefield horizontally through proxies and asymmetric action. We fought this same war in Afghanistan and Iraq. We lost both. No protest leaders have emerged inside Iran capable of organizing a viable alternative to the regime. The IRGC has not fractured. The protesters are on their own and at grave risk if U.S. forces withdraw before conditions change.
Federal, state, and local law enforcement must operate with heads on a swivel. The threat is real. Congress needs to stop playing politics with DHS funding. Now is not the time.
We are in this war whether we wanted it or not. The question now is how we define victory, how we protect the American people at home, and how we avoid repeating the mistakes of the last two decades. Those answers have to come fast.”
