    I watched the game and the medal ceremony and saw everyone singing the Anthem. (I sang along with them !!) Nice to see American athlete both happy to represent the country, WIN, and show that they are PROUD to win for their country and for themselves !!

    Too many woke athletes at the Olympics, like democRATS, who show NO national pride while wearing the FLAG and supposedly representing our great nation…

    I am also rooting for the men’s hockey team to win later today, and for them to go on to beat Canada like the women’s team did to win the GOLD !!

    As Chairman of the Senate Rules Committee, Mitch has the authority to block or delay a markup by not scheduling one, which has effectively stalled bills like the SAVE Act despite pressure from House Republicans and Senate co-sponsors.

    His opposition is being singalled via statements from “his office” and op-ed articles about “federal overreach.”

    Is McConnell even calling the shots anymore?

    Or is his staff (David Popp?) or is Thune’s crew ghost-running his office to protect the swamp?

    A high school principal in Pennsylvania is earning praise for shutting down a student anti-ICE protest walkout, telling students that their rights “don’t supersede the school.”

    In a video going viral on X, Wilson High School Principal Daniel Weber is seen in front of a group of students toting Mexican flags who had walked out of school with the idea of forming an anti-ICE protest.

    “If you go back to class, then we’re good. If you stay out here, we will get your names, and you will be suspended. Okay?” Weber is heard telling the angry students.

    WATCH:

    “That is your option at this point, because you are operating outside the bounds of what was granted,” Weber continued.

    The West Lawn, Pennsylvania, school administrator went on to warn kids that they face suspension if they continue their walkout.

    “You left school without permission. Your rights do not supersede the school,” he added. “So if you understand that, that is your option. If you wish to return, Dr. Damiani will let you in that door over there. If not, I will be getting your names, and you will be suspended. Okay? Those are your options. All right? Your rights do not exceed that of the school.”

    While many schools continue to not only allow students to bolt out of the classroom to join increasingly violent protests and are even planning them and leading them, Principal Weber stands out in stark contrast to other, more left-wing schools.

    Schools are walking a thin line by allowing these dangerous student walkouts. Several kids have already been injured during these protests, some have been arrested, and many have engaged in violent, physical attacks and property damage.

    Like principal Weber, some states, though, are beginning to work to prevent school walkouts, including Texas and Florida.

    A few days ago, Lara Trump said on a podcast that she heard that President Trump has prepared a speech on extraterrestrial life.

    Let’s see what comes of this. The momentum is there. Trump wants a legacy that will last generations. He will be remembered more for the declassification of our reality than almost anything else he does, no matter how good. This will be a game-changer if he follows through!

  5. Just The News: “President Donald Trump said Thursday that he will be directing War Secretary Pete Hegseth to begin releasing government files related to space aliens, unidentified aerial phenomena and UFOs.

    The president did not give a timeline on when the documents and files would be released but it comes after he criticized former President Barack Obama for divulging “classified information” when he said he believes aliens are real.

    “Based on the tremendous interest shown, I will be directing the Secretary of War, and other relevant Departments and Agencies, to begin the process of identifying and releasing government files related to alien and extraterrestrial life, unidentified aerial phenomena and unidentified flying objects and any and all other information connected to these highly complex, but extremely interesting and important, matters,” Trump posted on Truth Social. 

    Trump said earlier Thursday that he did not know if “aliens are real or not.” 

    The comment comes after Obama told a podcaster last week that it is statistically likely for there to be life beyond Earth given the vastness of the universe, but denied that such life is being held at Area 51. “There’s no underground facility unless there’s this enormous conspiracy and they hid it from the president of the United States,” Obama said.

    The topic also comes after a Pentagon report in 2024 revealed an increase in sightings but no evidence of extraterrestrial beings.”

Munira Abdullahi, D-Columbus, continues to serve as a national leader for the Muslim American Society (MAS), a registered nonprofit that federal prosecutors have identified as the “overt arm of the Muslim Brotherhood in America.”

    Abdullahi’s involvement with MAS dates back to at least 2012, when she served as a youth director in Columbus and later as a national program director.     Campaign finance records underscore this connection: in 2022, Abdullahi received a $1,000 contribution from an MAS colleague and later donated $2,400 from her campaign to MAS-Columbus.

    Ties to Extremists

    Housed in a northside mosque serving Columbus’ booming Somali immigrant community, MAS-Columbus has long been a hub for Muslim Brotherhood figures. Its development owes much to Salah Soltan, who later joined Mohamed Morsi’s Muslim Brotherhood regime in Egypt and is now imprisoned there for inciting violence. Under Soltan’s influence, the chapter’s website virulently antisemitic content, declaring “the evil within [Jews] is beyond description.” Other prominent visitors include Sheikh Mohamed Jebril, the Supreme Guide of the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood, who is banned from preaching in Egypt.

    Abdullahi’s crowning achievement as a Sharia-savvy legislator came in August 2025 with MASCON-CBUS, her organization’s inaugural convention held in Ohio’s state capital. His authority to impose such tariffs was the subject of the legal dispute, which saw Trump point to the IEEPA as granting him the authority. The court rejected his position.

    “We claim no special competence in matters of economics or foreign affairs. We claim only, as we must, the limited role assigned to us by Article III of the Constitution. Fulfilling that role, we hold that IEEPA does not authorize the President to impose tariffs,” wrote Chief Justice John Roberts.

    The ruling is a blow for Trump’s economic agenda, though the immediate implications for existing trade agreements are unclear.

      Other tariff authorities remain intact and available: The decision is narrow—it only blocks tariffs specifically under IEEPA. Tariffs imposed under longstanding trade laws like Section 232 (national security, e.g., on steel, aluminum, or other metals) and Section 301 (unfair trade practices, especially against China) are unaffected and stay in place. Administration officials and analysts have already signaled they plan to pivot quickly to these tools to reimpose similar (or adjusted) duties, keeping much of the trade pressure and revenue stream alive. This avoids a total collapse of his tariff strategy.

      In short, this is mostly bad news for the core of his tariff-heavy economic plan, but he retains fallback options that could blunt the impact and allow him to continue aggressive trade policies. If more develops (like a Trump statement or follow-up actions), it could shift the picture to a positive outcome.

    Within Justice Kavanaugh’s dissent, He says the Supreme Court got it wrong, but says Trump still has all the Cards:

    The IEEPA law does let the President impose tariffs during a national emergency (based on its text, history, and precedents).

    The majority wrongly applied the strict “major questions doctrine” to block it in foreign affairs/trade.

    Even if the ruling stands, Presidents can likely impose similar (or MOST OF THE SAME) tariffs using these other trade laws instead:
    —— Trade Expansion Act of 1962 (Section 232 – national security).
    —— Trade Act of 1974 (Sections 122, 201, 301 – unfair trade, safeguards, balance-of-payments).
    —— Tariff Act of 1930 (Section 338 – retaliatory tariffs).

    These require a few extra steps (like INVESTIGATIONS), but cover the tariffs at issue.

    Bottom line: Legaly, he says this was the wrong call, but Presidents do have workarounds via those other statutes.

Gatekeepers are paraded all across TV stations with manufactured talking points.

    The decision, issued on Tuesday, was in response to a 2023 lawsuit filed in Illinois against Buffalo Wild Wings by customer Aimen Halim, who argued that the restaurant chain was violating the Illinois consumer fraud act and was misleading customers by marketing chicken breast pieces as “boneless wings”. He sought roughly $10m in damages.

    Wouldn’t it be nice if the Judge, upon determining the lawsuit as frivolous, would also order the attorney  who filed the suit disbarred for having done so on the grounds of the lawyer – and his client – being money-grubbing scumbags? Asking for a friend…”

    To show you how ridiculous the opinion is, the Court said that I’m not allowed to charge even $1 DOLLAR to any Country under IEEPA, I assume to protect other Countries, not the United States which they should be interested in protecting — But I am allowed to cut off any and all Trade or Business with that same Country, even imposing a Foreign Country destroying embargo, and do anything else I want to do to them — How nonsensical is that? They are saying that I have the absolute right to license, but not the right to charge a license fee. What license has ever been issued without the right to charge a fee? But now the Court has given me the unquestioned right to ban all sorts of things from coming into our Country, a much more powerful Right than many people thought we had.

    Our Country is the “HOTTEST” anywhere in the World, but now, I am going in a different direction, which is even stronger than our original choice. As Justice Kavanaugh wrote in his Dissent:

    “Although I firmly disagree with the Court’s holding today, the decision might not substantially constrain a President’s ability to order tariffs going forward. That is because numerous other federal statutes authorize the President to impose tariffs and might justify most (if not all) of the tariffs issued in this case…Those statutes include, for example, the Trade Expansion Act of 1962 (Section 232); the Trade Act of 1974 (Sections 122, 201, and 301); and the Tariff Act of 1930 (Section 338).”

    In actuality, while I am sure they did not mean to do so, the Supreme Court’s decision today made a President’s ability to both regulate Trade, and impose TARIFFS, more powerful and crystal clear, rather than less. There will no longer be any doubt, and the Income coming in, and the protection of our Companies and Country, will actually increase because of this decision. Based on longstanding Law and Hundreds of Victories to the contrary, the Supreme Court did not overrule TARIFFS, they merely overruled a particular use of IEEPA TARIFFS. The ability to block, embargo, restrict, license, or impose any other condition on a Foreign Country’s ability to conduct Trade with the United States under IEEPA, has been fully confirmed by this decision. In order to protect our Country, a President can actually charge more TARIFFS than I was charging in the past under the various other TARIFF authorities, which have also been confirmed, and fully allowed.

    Therefore, effective immediately, all National Security TARIFFS, Section 232 and existing Section 301 TARIFFS, remain in place, and in full force and effect. Today I will sign an Order to impose a 10% GLOBAL TARIFF, under Section 122, over and above our normal TARIFFS already being charged, and we are also initiating several Section 301 and other Investigations to protect our Country from unfair Trading practices. Thank you for your attention to this matter. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!

    A senior CIA official told Just The News that the 19 reports were initially flagged during a review by the President’s Intelligence Advisory Board and then reviewed by career agency officials before being retracted, recalled or revised.

    “There is absolutely no room for bias in any kind of the CIA’s work,” the official said. “So when we find instances where our tradecraft did not reach that high bar of impartiality, we must correct the record. And that’s why we’re taking steps to reinforce analytic integrity by ordering the public release, substantive revision or retraction of these products that do not meet CIA’s tradecraft standards.”

    Of the 19 analytical reports, 17 have been permanently deleted and are no longer available for spy agencies to use in their work and two were recalled and revised and then re-released, the official said.

    The official, who briefed reporters on a call, said the recall of the CIA products had nothing to do with Trump political agendas but rather because they failed to meet rigid analytic standards that have been in place for years under a memo known as Intelligence Community Directive 203.

    “There are still objectivity standards and tradecraft standards that the intelligence community should always observe,” the official said. “…Those standards in ICD 203, were not followed in the case of these products.”

    To make its point, the CIA released three of the retracted reports, which dealt with issues of political diversity and often quoted from liberal news sites and think tanks for evidence…..”

Just The News: “Suburban D.C.’s Montgomery County Public Schools will pay $1.5 million to parents who prevailed at the Supreme Court in their legal challenge to the district’s refusal to notify or let them opt out their young children from LGBTQ “storybooks,” according to the parents’ lawyers.

    The parties in Mahmoud v. Taylor “waive a hearing and findings of fact and conclusions of law on all issues unaddressed by the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision” in favor of a consent judgment approved by U.S. District Judge Deborah Boardman.

    They agreed the parents are entitled to judgment on their claim that the district violated their First Amendment right to “religious upbringing of children,” making them “prevailing parties” for the purpose of damages, though that figure is listed in a “Separate Agreement” that the parents’ lawyers at the Becket Fund for Religious Liberty have not posted.

    The district promised to notify plaintiffs “in advance whenever one of the books in question or any similar book is to be used in any way” and let them opt out their kids. 

    It will email them “descriptions of all core instructional texts and supplemental texts and materials (including videos),” identify all such materials “that address the family life and human sexuality objectives” in the Maryland health educational framework, and instruct schools and teachers to “provide accurate information” when parents ask when such materials will be used in class.

    “Public schools nationwide are on notice: running roughshod over parental rights and religious freedom isn’t just illegal—it’s costly,” Becket senior counsel Eric Baxter said.”

  20. I am a pack rat when it comes to sewing stuff. If i make a pattern for something, I label it and tuck in my pattern bin. I have stuff in there since i was 16. A few days ago the hairdresser texted me and asked me if I could make another llama. I made one for her previously as a gag gift for an old family friend and it was tacky and weird and he loved it. Well his house burned down and he lost it so she asked if i could make another one–even tackier she said.

        I wasted plenty of time today looking, but I have a haircut on Tuesday and want to have it ready to give her then, so I didn’t look in every drawer in my craft room. But i will probably find it later. I labeled this one…lol.

  22. Just The News: “The United States’ Olympic men’s hockey team advanced to the finals Friday afternoon in Italy, after defeating Slovakia by a score of 6-2. They will now face off against Canada for the gold medal on Sunday.

    The United States’ Dylan Larkin scored the first goal of the game in the first period, followed by Tage Thompson. Team USA scored another three goals in the second period, which were scored by Jack Hughes and Jack Eichel.

    Team USA’s victory means the United States will medal in men’s hockey at the Olympics for the first time since 2010, when the U.S. took home the silver medal against Canada. The last time the U.S. won gold was in 1980 against Finland, after previously defeating the Soviet Union in the medal round in the game frequently referred to as the “Miracle on Ice.” 

    Slovakia will play Saturday against Finland to see who takes home the bronze medal. The finals match will take place Sunday morning.

    The victory comes after the U.S.’s women’s hockey team defeated Canada for Olympic gold during overtime on Thursday.”

  24. Well, now – I just looked out the door to see if Wheezer had eaten any food and there was a dark orange tabby sitting at the door, looking in at me. As soon as I got up, he hightailed it out the doggie door and took off. So it’s not just Wheezer that has been eating the food! Interesting…..

          1. He (or she – I couldn’t tell) had eaten some of the food – I had mixed up some tuna w/the dry food – but he had quit eating to come and sit in front of the door, looking in at me….so he was interested enough to leave the food to check it out…..

    𝟱𝟬+ 𝗘𝘅𝗲𝗰𝘂𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗦𝘂𝗶𝘁𝗲𝘀 The SF Chronicle pulled IRS 990 filings for the top 20 HSH grantees. Average CEO compensation: $𝟯𝟬𝟬,𝟬𝟬𝟬 𝗮 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿.

    The top end hit $680,000. Multiply that across every org in the system:

    – 50+ CEOs / Executive Directors: $𝟭𝟱𝗠+

    – 50+ CFOs / Finance Teams: $𝟭𝟬𝗠+

    – 50+ HR Departments: $𝟳.𝟱𝗠+

    – 50+ Compliance Officers: $𝟲.𝟱𝗠+

    – Benefits on all of the above: $𝟭𝟮𝗠+

    – 50+ separate audits, legal teams, insurance policies: $𝟮𝟭𝗠+

    Total duplicated overhead: roughly $𝟳𝟮 𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿.

    𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗙𝗶𝘅 One consolidated agency could eliminate most of this duplication. The city already has HSH. It just outsources the work to 50+ middlemen.
