Happy National Texas Day!

If you’re planning on visiting Texas, Tripadvisor recommends these “don’t miss” attractions!

San Antonio River Walk

Also known as Paseo del Rio, this 15-mile-long river walk is a must-do in San Antonio. Opt for a self-guided walking or bike tour of the riverside paths, lined with beautiful cypress trees, shops, museums, hotels and of course, Tex-Mex restaurants. But one of the best ways to experience the River Walk is on a hop-on, hop-off cruise, which glides past iconic spots like the Arneson River Theatre, Marriage Island, and the San Antonio Museum of Art. Visit during festivals and holidays like St Patrick’s Day and Christmas for exciting river parades and spectacular light illuminations.

Space Center Houston

Located in the heart of NASA’s spaceflight program, Space Center Houston is a must-visit for fans of space exploration. With more than 400 space-related artefacts and numerous interactive exhibitions, you can easily spend a whole day learning about NASA’s history and current work. Be sure to hop on the tram tour too, which takes you around the real site of the Johnson Space Center, including the original Mission Control room and a behind-the-scenes look at the astronaut training facilities. You might want to join VIP tours by NASA experts to gain a deeper understanding and inside knowledge of the center.

The Alamo

Established in 1718 as Mission San Antonio de Valero, for over 300 years the former mission now known as the Alamo has been a crossroads of history. Having existed under six flags of independent nations and served as a garrison for five different armies, the Alamo has a rich history and a heritage to inspire Texans and people around the world. Although the Alamo is best known as the site of the 1836 Battle of the Alamo, all 300 years of Alamo history are vital to our story.

Natural Bridge Caverns

Natural Bridge Caverns is one of Texas’ largest underground attractions that is best explored on a guided tour. The Discovery Tour takes you through the most spectacular part of the caverns 180 feet underground, whilst the Hidden Passages tour shows you a system of huge underground chambers—or experience both on a combo tour. Otherwise, navigate the outdoor Twisted Trails rope course, find your way out of the AMAZEn’ Ranch Roundup maze, and pan for fossils at the Mining Company.

The Dallas World Aquarium

The adventure at The Dallas World Aquarium begins at the top of the rainforest exhibit, where exotic birds, such as Cocks-of-the-rock and many species of toucans, can be seen. Lounging around are Two-toed and Three-toed sloths. Endangered animals, such as Orinoco crocodiles, Giant river otters, Antillean manatees and several species of monkeys are part of the many conservation projects. The aquarium portion displays interesting marine life, including Japanese crabs, jellyfish, Leafy, Weedy and Ribbon seadragons. Black-footed and Blue penguins can be seen swimming as guests enjoy the outdoor South Africa exhibit.

The Texas State Capital

If it’s in Texas, it must be bigger and better. That is the motto that architects followed with the Capitol Building in Austin. At one time, it was the tallest capitol building in the nation. Others might be taller now, but this is still a beautiful building that shows off many of the natural resources which are so prevalent in Texas, such as limestone and the landscapes.

Hi 40’s & 50’s until 2/15!!! Hmmm….if my neighbor plows my driveway, maybe I’ll skip it and have them come in thru the garage! LOL

  1. Target announces 9 store closures in Democrats states due to retail theft and organized crime

“The company says the wave of shoplifting is threatening the safety of its workers and shoppers. Stores are closing in New York City, Seattle, San Francisco’s Bay Area and Portland, Oregon”

“Target stores have just closed their doors, three in San Francisco alone. This is the latest high profile pullback by a major national retailer in a high cost, high risk market.

Target’s official explanation cites safety risks and unsustainable losses, and the company is now under pressure to defend these exits directly to California state leadership — This was a targeted pullback from specific markets, not an isolated set of shop closings. The company said the closures responded to persistent theft, an organized retail crime that made continued business unsustainable.

In the company’s words, theft had created an environment where it was no longer safe for team members to work or for guests to shop.”

American taxpayers are literally paying for our own ICE protests

“The United States government is funding this”

“Protester we secretly recorded talks about an organization called Make the Road New York. We’ve never heard of this organization, but apparently they have a budget of $30 million — We looked up the tax returns of make the road New York and found there were registered 501 that file a 990 and they received $16 million in grants”

I missed this yesterday: Ethics Complaint Tossed: Judge Boasberg Dodges a Bullet

… “Because of potential conflicts in D.C., the complaint was referred to Chief Judge Jeffrey Sutton of the 6th Circuit Court of Appeals. In a Dec. 19, 2025, order that became public this week, Sutton tossed it out, saying that if Boasberg had made those exact statements, they wouldn’t have violated ethics rules.

    Why?
Judicial Conference meetings are for open discussions of court operations, not trials or specific cases, where expressing concerns about potential administrative defiance, even naming a president, didn’t count as misconduct in that setting. Boasberg’s situation wasn’t seen as prejudicing cases or the court’s work.

There was no witness testimony, no evidence was reviewed, and no cross-examination; Sutton basically said it didn’t meet the bar to move forward. Judge Boasberg, an Obama appointee, did not comment on the dismissal.

Why This MattersHis ruling wasn’t a full “you’re cleared” moment; Sutton didn’t say the comments were spot-on. He just decided they weren’t bad enough to trigger the formal process.
That difference is key: It keeps the bar high for anyone challenging a judge’s words or actions.
There are plenty of avenues for judges to speak: in court, meetings, or elsewhere, to explain decisions, share concerns, or warn about issues.

This dismissal strengthens that protection, when even the DOJ can’t get past the starting gate, showing real insulation from review. When the DOJ files these motions, which isn’t often, it usually indicates it means business.

It also shifts the load, where accusers need super-strong cases right out of the gate; airtight facts and no wiggle room, or complaints quickly die…”

  5. Just The News: “President Donald Trump announced on Saturday that he directed the Department of Homeland Security to limit federal intervention in local protests and riots unless local or state governments formally request assistance.  At the same time, he promised a forceful federal response to any attacks on federal property.

“I have instructed Secretary of Homeland Security, Kristi Noem, that under no circumstances are we going to participate in various poorly run Democrat cities with regard to their protests and/or riots unless, and until, they ask us for help,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.

While distancing federal agencies from local unrest, Trump emphasized that protecting federal buildings remains a top priority. “We will, however, guard, and very powerfully so, any and all Federal Buildings that are being attacked by these highly paid Lunatics, Agitators, and Insurrectionists,” he stated.

Trump also made clear his expectations for law enforcement personnel’s treatment, warning, “There will be no spitting in the faces of our Officers, there will be no punching or kicking the headlights of our cars, and there will be no rock or brick throwing at our vehicles, or at our Patriot Warriors. If there is, those people will suffer an equal, or more, consequence.”

The former president underscored the responsibility of local and state governments in maintaining order. “You must protect your own State and Local Property. In addition, it is your obligation to also protect our Federal Property, Buildings, Parks, and everything else,” he said. “We are there to protect Federal Property, only as a back up, in that it is Local and State Responsibility to do so.”

Trump cited a recent incident in Eugene, Oregon, where federal property was damaged and federal employees were harassed while local police reportedly did not intervene. “Last night in Eugene, Oregon, these criminals broke into a Federal Building, and did great damage, also scaring and harassing the hardworking employees. Local Police did nothing in order to stop it. We will not let that happen anymore!”

Reflecting on federal involvement in the Los Angeles riots a year prior, Trump said, “If Local Governments are unable to handle the Insurrectionists, Agitators, and Anarchists, we will immediately go to the location where such help is requested, and take care of the situation very easily and methodically, just as we did the Los Angeles Riots one year ago, where the Police Chief said that, ‘We couldn’t have done it without the help of the Federal Government.’”

He concluded by urging local leaders to formally request federal support:  “To all complaining Local Governments, Governors, and Mayors, let us know when you are ready, and we will be there — But, before we do so, you must use the word, ‘PLEASE,’” he said.”

  6. “They’re saying that this bullshit Arctic air will stick around until early next week in the central and eastern U.S., with temperatures holding 15 to 30 degrees below normal. The cold air will penetrate into the Deep South and even into southern Florida through the end of the weekend and beyond.

A large area of Arctic high pressure is currently locked in over the Eastern U.S. with a Southeast U.S. snowstorm bringing a reinforcing shot of cold air this weekend. Lows in the single digits and negatives will return in the Lower Midwest, Northeast, Appalachian Mountains, and the interior of the Mid-Atlantic this morning.

Lows around me will be frigid with teens and 20s being common in the Lower Plains, Mid-South, Tennessee Valley, Carolinas, and southeastern Mid-Atlantic. Twenties and 30s will be felt in the Deep South and along the Gulf Coast going deep into Florida.

The bitter cold has already shuttered the theme parks in Orlando, where both Disney World and Universal Studios announced temporary closures due to the freezing temperatures. Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon water park will be closed until Monday.

The freezing conditions are so unique that they could even affect some of Florida’s wildlife, including freezing fruit trees.

‘Green iguanas are sensitive to the cold and can become stunned when temperatures fall into the 40s and 30s,’ meteorologist Brandon Buckingham told AccuWeather. ‘When that happens, they may lose their grip and fall from the trees.”

  7. “A homeowner in Florida secretly captured two raccoons comfortably lounging on a flamingo pool float in a backyard swimming pool. Raccoons are strong swimmers and are often drawn to pools during warm weather, especially at night, to cool off or explore new environments.

These animals are highly adaptable and commonly move through residential neighborhoods in Florida while searching for food and water. Inflatable pool floats can provide an easy resting spot, allowing raccoons to stay afloat without much effort.

Another homeowner in Florida captured a candid porch moment when a raccoon became curious about a pair of sunglasses left on an outdoor table. Raccoons are highly intelligent and known for using their front paws to explore unfamiliar objects, often picking them up to inspect texture and movement.

In residential areas across Florida, raccoons frequently visit porches and patios while searching for food or water, and they may investigate everyday items left outside. This behavior is driven by curiosity rather than play, as raccoons rely heavily on touch to understand their surroundings.

Moments like these highlight how wildlife continues to adjust to human spaces, offering a rare look at the playful and curious side of animals living near suburban areas.”

  8. OK – shoveling done. Considering there was maybe only 2″ or so and it was already starting to melt at ground level, it only took about 15 minutes. Bright sun now and up to 43 on the south side of the house, with only a slight breeze.

Watch: Panicking Fulton County Commish Wants to Break Into a Run as Voter Roll Investigator Exposes Fraud and Her Escape Car Fails to Show

Independent journalist David Khait asked Dana Barrett, a Democrat serving as commissioner in Fulton County, Georgia, about cleaning up the state’s corrupted voter rolls.

“We went around Fulton County the last few weeks,” Khait said to the still-stationary commissioner. “And we see that people are currently registered to vote in places like empty lots, homeless shelters that closed 10 years ago. What would you do, if you become secretary of state, to address that?”

“I appreciate what you’re saying,” the smug commissioner replied, “[but] I’m not gonna respond to conspiracy theories.”

“You can go there right now and see for yourself,” the journalist said. “Do you not care about that?”

“I think what you’re doing is extremely dangerous,” she finally replied moments later.

“Why is it dangerous?” he asked.

    “’Cause you’re spreading conspiracy theories.”

Barrett recently announced her candidacy for Georgia secretary of state.

  10. Just The News: “British Prime Minister Keir Starmer is turning up the heat on Prince Andrew, urging the former royal to come forward and testify before U.S. Congress about his ties to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

Speaking to reporters after a recent diplomatic trip, Starmer said anyone with important information about Epstein’s crimes should be willing to share it, emphasizing that putting victims first means cooperating fully. When asked if Andrew should apologize, he left that decision to the prince, saying it was a personal matter.

“But yes, in terms of testifying, I have always said anybody who has got information should be prepared to share that information in whatever form they are asked to do that because you can’t be victim-centered if you’re not prepared to do that,” Starmer said.

This isn’t the first time Andrew has faced scrutiny over his connection to Epstein. New documents recently released by U.S. prosecutors include emails, photos, and other records that show the two remained in contact even after Epstein’s 2008 conviction for sex crimes. Some of these materials reportedly feature Andrew in social settings linked to Epstein.

Prince Andrew has always denied any wrongdoing. He settled a civil lawsuit brought by one of Epstein’s accusers in 2022 without admitting fault, and last year he lost his royal titles and military roles amid fallout from the scandal.

Meanwhile, U.S. lawmakers on the House Oversight Committee have asked Andrew to sit down for a formal interview to shed light on Epstein’s network and anyone who may have helped him. While they can’t legally force a British citizen living overseas to testify, the request has added to the pressure on Andrew to cooperate.”

“FBI Raid Secret Biolab in Residential Las Vegas”

    Clandestine, Feb 01, 2026

    ⚠️Biolab Alert⚠️

“The FBI just conducted a 16+ hour raid on a residential home in Las Vegas, that had a “biolab” inside, and one person is in custody. Specialized FBI hazmat units found refrigerators with vials of biological material. Local police claim this is an isolated incident and the public are not at risk.

As of now we have no idea what kind of biological materials were found or whose residence it was, but the FBI sure seemed to think whatever they found was potentially dangerous.

I’ll be interested to learn about this mysterious individual that none of the neighbors had ever met, that had a secret biolab in his house with dangerous biological materials, that were of interest to the FBI.

It could be nothing, but it’s something I will be keeping an eye on, because the only time the Dems are able to win an election is when a man-made virus “leaks” and creates mass mail-in ballots for them to harvest and ship to swing states in the middle of the night, like Fulton County.

    Stay frosty.”

  12. That was a nice visit but I was ready for them to leave! The youngest, Evvie, who is 4 or 5, is truly an Energizer Bunny! She is autistic and doesn’t stop moving for more than a couple of minutes and getting into stuff. The older girl (ICR her name at the moment) who is 9 or 10 is very much into reading and books so I gave her a couple of books to take home with her. I also gave her a big pictorial book on horses, making sure she understood that she needed to take care of it, and she decided to leave it here for the next time she visits since she has to share a room with Evvie.

  13. “This 90-year-old thought her old stoneware crock would fetch $100 at auction. Boy was she wrong.”

Not The Bee, Harriet Rigby, Jan 31, 2026

Image for article: This 90-year-old thought her old stoneware crock would fetch $100 at auction. Boy was she wrong.

“After 40 years with a 30-gallon antique stoneware crock left unused on her front porch, Nebraska woman Lois Jurgens was getting ready to sell it, but had a hunch that it would fetch a little more money at auction than a yard sale.

She called auctioneer Ken Bramer asking him to come take a look at the crock. She told him she was hoping it would get $100.

Bramer already had quite a collection of Red Wing crocks lined up for an auction set to take place on Jurgens 91st birthday. But, rather than give the elderly woman the $100 she was hoping for, he agreed to take the crock to auction, telling her that he thought he could secure at least that much for her at the sale.

The morning of the auction, and Jurgens birthday, she was busy volunteering at her church, but afterwards stopped by the auction to see how her antique had fared.

When he saw her enter, Good News Network reports that Bramer stopped the auction to announce to her,

We did a little better than $100. We got you $32,000!

    WATCH:

As you may have guessed, Bramer knew when he saw the 30-gallon crock that it would fetch a lot more than the $100 that Jurgens hoped for, but what a nice birthday surprise that he didn’t let on!

As it turns out, the crock was double-stamped, which means it’s apparently quite valuable.

Ken Bramer wrote on his Bramer Auction and Realty Facebook page that,

Selling that rare 30 gal. Red Wing crock was one of those once in a lifetime things. We are incredible grateful for the opportunity to work with that sweet, young lady!”

  15. Just The News: “Former President Donald Trump revealed that he is considering legal action against journalist and author Michael Wolff, alleging that Wolff colluded with the late Jeffrey Epstein to damage his political standing. Speaking to reporters aboard Air Force One on Saturday night, Trump blasted Wolff, calling him a “third‑rate writer,” and said recent documents linked to Epstein show a purported effort by Wolff and Jeffrey Epstein to “do harm” to him.

Trump claimed the materials, part of a new tranche of files released in connection with the Epstein investigation, actually vindicate him. “I didn’t see it myself but I was told by some very important people that not only does it absolve me, it’s the opposite of what people were hoping, you know, the radical left,” Trump said. “We’ll probably sue Wolff on it. And maybe the Epstein estate I guess, I don’t know, but we’re certainly going to sue him.”

Trump alleged that Epstein “was conspiring with Wolff to do harm to me politically” and “that’s not a friend.”

The remarks come amid the latest release of millions of pages from the Department of Justice’s long‑running Epstein files, which have drawn attention for references to Trump and others and resurfaced previously unpublished communications.

Emails between Wolff and Epstein made public mentioned Trump’s public image while running for president, though Wolff has not acknowledged wrongdoing. “I hear CNN planning to ask Trump tonight about his relationship with you — either on air or in scrum afterwards,” Wolff wrote in an email to Epstein in December 2015. “I think you should let him hang himself,” he added in a separate message.

“If he says he hasn’t been on the plane or to the house, then that gives you a valuable PR and political currency. You can hang him in a way that potentially generates a positive benefit for you, or, if it really looks like he could win, you could save him, generating a debt,” he also wrote.”

“Covid and Election Fraud in 2020 are Connected”

    Clandestine, Feb 01, 2026

“Flashback to May 1st, 2025: DNI Gabbard confirmed she was investigating the origins of Covid, and mentioned the biolabs in Ukraine. Just a few weeks before this in April, she confirmed she was investigating potential fraud in the 2020 election. These two things are connected.

Covid is what opened the door for massive fraud in the 2020 election via mass mail-in ballots, in which the Dems harvested and delivered to blue counties in swing states in the middle of the night after counting had stopped, like in Fulton County, GA.

Meanwhile, Gabbard was on the ground at the FBI raid in Fulton County this week to confiscate hundreds of thousands of ballots from the 2020 election. I think Gabbard just confiscated mail-in ballots that had been harvested in this election fraud scheme. I think Gabbard has already tracked these ballots to their origin, and will be able to prove they were delivered to Fulton County illegally.

And what made this entire scheme possible? Covid. The virus that has since been confirmed to be man-made. I think Gabbard is investigating the origins of Covid, the fraud in the 2020 election, Russiagate, Obama’s treasonous coup, etc., all as one giant conspiracy case.

I think after Russiagate failed, the Dems released Covid intentionally, destroyed Trump’s economy and approval, enabled mass mail-in ballots, harvested the ballots, all as part of their larger plot to remove Trump by any means necessary.

It was all one giant regime-change operation, and it’s still happening right now.”
