I cup marshmallow creme

    1. Morning! It only got down to -2 here last night; -1 when I got up and now sitting @ 0. Of course no sign of Wheezer and his tuna is frozen so I’ve brought it inside to thaw. If he shows up later, I’ll put it back out.

          1. that’s good. we’ll get hit when and if it makes a move up the coast. hubby is getting varied reports–5-8 inches or 6-16 inches depending on the track.
if it stays all snow it won’t be as bad as if it turns to ice at some point. because heavy snow with ice on top will definitely bring down power lines.
so if i disappear after it starts, you know why.

    RE: Virginia

As we all watch Virginia descend into an evil maelstrom of Marxist pro-criminality, please allow me to explain what happened and what the remedy is.

Think back to 2024. One of the major reasons the American people elected Donald Trump was so he would fulfill his campaign promise of reducing the size, scope and power of the evil Leviathan housed in the federal administrative state that controls our daily lives in a grotesquely unconstitutional manner.

This necessarily meant greatly reducing the number of federal civilian employees.

As someone who has spent many years in military uniform supervising civilian federal employees, I can assure you that 95% of those civil service employees completely and utterly disregard the fact that their boss is the American electorate.

So when the American electorate says “We think your job equals tyranny and we don’t want you employed in that job anymore,” instead of recognizing that the only people entitled to make this decision are the American voters, they resist, thinking that they are somehow more important than the Constitution and the electorate.

It just so happens that the great majority of these unrepentant federal workers reside in Northern Virginia. So when Trump did what the American people wanted him to do and he fired so many of these unneeded leeches, those unionized leeches decided to vote Democrat at all costs, as a matter of preserving their wholly unnecessary jobs and cushy livelihoods.

Another key fact is that the suburban areas of Northern Virginia like Fairfax and Loudon Counties control state-wide elections, and federal workers control those counties. So the inevitable happened and those unneeded, rent-seeking federal workers swung control of Virginia to Democrats.

And guess what? Those elected Democrats took opposition to reducing the size of the federal government as a mandate to rapidly enact an Orwellian set of laws that would make Karl Marx and Che Guevara blush: outrageous taxation; elimination of basic human rights like those embodied in the Second Amendment; pro-illegal alien policies; refusal to enforce federal immigration laws; draconian rules mandating that confused children can destroy their genitals without parental consent; laws supporting criminality; and a host of other insane laws and policies designed to turn Virginia into a modern version of Ingsoc.

Who is to blame for this evil? Federal workers. Their refusal to acknowledge the will of their boss (i.e., YOU, the American voter) has tossed an entire state into Marxist despair. The ability of federal civil “servants” to cling to their cushy, unneeded jobs is why Virginia has become an un-American hellscape overnight. They simply DO NOT CARE that their fellow Americans are condemned to live in crime and tyranny, because that preserves their cushy sinecures. They are not civil “servants.” They are civil MASTERS, and they don’t care what you think.

Place the blame where it belongs. Federal workers did this to you, Virginia. THEY are to blame.

But there are two ways Trump can remedy this dire state of affairs:

    1. Keep on cutting the bloated federal Leviathan.
    2. Move federal agencies out of DC and spread them across the rest of the country, depriving this unionized cabal of unelected bureaucratic tyrants of the nefarious power of concentration.

I have a message for Virginia (less Fairfax and Loudon Counties): the rest of America is here to save you. Hold fast, don’t give up, and we WILL eventually save you from this tyranny.

    MAGA. MVGA.

    1. Yep – as I have often reiterated – I learned that when I was stationed at the Pentagon in 1977. At least 80% of the Federal workers then were useless as teats on a boar hog!!! I wouldn’t be the least bit surprised if it is, indeed, 95% by now.

At Davos, the WEF now promotes less clothes-washing to save the planet

See, 70% of CO2 emissions coming from a cotton t-shirt come from washing and drying it. Bad t-shirts, stop them!

And washing clothes puts microfibers into the water system! (Let’s see their video on birth control into the water system, which is actually believed to be giving young men high-pitched voices.) Worse still, washing clothes wears them out, and creating a lot of ‘clothing waste.’ Maybe they should try recycling.

They want jeans washed just once a month, with no adjustments suggested for the condition they are in.
Pajamas get once a week, jumpers, or sweaters, get once every six weeks, again, with no concessions about how dirty they are.
They do make a concession on worn underwear and stinky gym clothes.

But can you imagine having to deal with kids’ clothes washed on that schedule? Kids love dirt, they’re drawn to dirt, they demonstrate it every time they go out to play, and it’s not just the boys.

By these greenie standards, drug-addicted street bums would be the most eco-friendly people on the planet.

ELECTION FRAUD EXPOSED: California Sheriff says their elections are being rigged!

Your vote in California is being STOLEN by illegals, and they’re not even hiding it anymore.

Sheriff’s investigators uncovered that people from PAKISTAN were voting in California elections. Multiple people living OUTSIDE THE COUNTRY were registered and casting ballots.

California’s online voter registration system operates on an “honor system” where literally anyone in the world can register to vote by simply clicking a box saying they’re not lying. No verification, no citizenship checks. Just click and you’re registered.

Once you’re in the system, you automatically get mailed a ballot for EVERY election!

  7. Just The News: “TikTok announced Thursday that its parent company ByteDance has finalized an agreement with a group of non-Chinese investors to create a new U.S. TikTok. The investors include the software giant Oracle, the Emirati investment firm MGX, and the California-based private equity fund Silver Lake, according to the New York Times. TikTok’s former operations head, Adam Presser, will be the CEO for U.S. TikTok.

The deal was initially teased last month but was finalized Thursday, just ahead of the deadline, and it ends a years-long battle over the future of the app in the United States.

Last year, Congress passed a bill requiring TikTok to divest or sell its operations over the potential threat of Chinese manipulation to the social media app’s algorithm. In September, President Trump signed an executive order to approve a deal to keep the TikTok app available in the U.S. after it briefly went dark.

ByteDance will keep a 19.9% stake in the U.S. operation, the company said in a memo last month.”

  8. Just The News: “The Department of Health and Human Services and the State Department announced Thursday that the United States has completed its withdrawal from the World Health Organization over its handling of the COVID-19 pandemic.

President Donald Trump signed the executive order that began the process of withdrawing from the global organization last year, on the first day of his second term.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio and HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. also cited issues with the organization’s failure to adopt urgent reforms, and its inability to demonstrate independence from the political influence of WHO member states.

“Today, the United States withdrew from the World Health Organization, freeing itself from its constraints, as President Trump promised on his first day in office,” the secretaries said in a joint statement. “This action responds to the WHO’s failures during the COVID-19 pandemic and seeks to rectify the harm from those failures inflicted on the American people.”

The departments claimed the WHO delayed declaring a global public health emergency and pandemic during the early stages of COVID-19 and failed to adopt meaningful reforms to address political influence and poor coordination in the aftermath of the global crisis.

The secretaries added that the United States will still interact with the organization to effectuate its withdrawal, but that all funding for, and staffing of, WHO initiatives have ceased.”

STOP what you’re doing and buckle up. We warned you that we were just getting this party started.

-We’re estimating that well over 100,000 false reports about the whereabouts of ICE have flooded the “report ICE hotlines” that are meant to help far-left protestors impede ICE operations.

-We’re not saying we had anything to do with it, but we heard through the grapevine that more than 100 teams of veterans and off-duty officers have been “accidentally mistaken” as ICE by protestors… who then followed them DIRECTLY away from where ICE operations were able to take place. 🤣🤡

-We totally have nothing to do at all with ICE protestors showing up at the homes of ICE protestors to protest ICE… and then mass confusion following.

It’s so easy to cause mass chaos among these Communists when their collective IQ is lower than a box of french fries.

    Jack Smith testifying

EXCERPT: “Former Special Counsel Jack Smith testified before the House Judiciary Committee on Thursday to field questions about his lawfare against President Donald Trump and egregious investigative tactics. And boy was it a doozy.

Throughout the more-than-5-hour hearing, Republicans pressed Smith on numerous topics, ranging from his questionable appointment to his subpoenaing the phone records of GOP members of Congress as part of his Arctic Frost probe into Trump. For their part, Democrats did everything imaginable to run interference for Smith and obfuscate his abusive investigations.

In case you missed it, here are the key moments from the hearing…..”

  14. something weird happened last evening. we were watching tv and I thought i heard car tires spinning on ice. So i opened the front door and sure enough that’s what it sounded like. Hubby came over and said that’s odd–it sounds close.

then it stopped. we waited and then turned off the lights to see if someone was maybe walking up the driveway in the dark (with a flashlight?) nothing.

hubby took the tractor down this morning before grabbing more firewood and didn’t see anything out of the ordinary…

    weird.

          1. we were just discussing this. the neighbor recently blacktopped his driveway and we haven’t seen him for a while. it’s been snowing like an inch every night for a while. if he was just getting in before the storm, he hasn’t plowed his driveway in a while–maybe he got stuck. it won’t be long though…that’s the neighbor with the bulldozer.

  15. Just The News: “The Department of Homeland Security on Friday announced its latest roundup of the “worst of the worst” illegal alien criminals as the Trump administration moves to deport as many as 22 million illegal aliens from the country.

Thus far, the administration has deported roughly 600,000 people from the country, with roughly 2 million more illegal aliens self-deporting amid the crackdown. The administration has prioritized violent criminals with prior convictions, resulting in its “worst of the worst” roundups. Friday’s catch included MS-13 gang members, convicted rapists, and murderers.

“President Trump and Secretary Noem unleashed ICE to target the worst of the worst criminal illegal aliens,” Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin said in a statement. “Yesterday, ICE arrested murderers, MS-13 gang members, and rapists.”

“These are the type of thugs we are getting off the streets and out of country every single day. 70% of all ICE arrests are of criminal illegal aliens charged or convicted of a crime in the U.S. Americans can see for themselves what criminals have been removed from their community at WOW.DHS.Gov,” she added.

Topping the list was Evis Peguero-Cotarelo of Cuba, who was previously convicted of first-degree murder with a deadly weapon/attempt.

Ai Trinh of Vietnam was previously convicted of murder.

Gustavo Alberto Miranda-Castro of El Salvador is a member of MS-13 and was previously convicted of carrying a loaded firearm in a public place.

Hector Horacio Perez-Valdivia of Mexico was previously convicted of rape of spouse by force, inflict corporal injury; spouse/cohab.

Omar Johnson of Jamaica was previously convicted of two counts of armed bank robbery and aiding and abetting.”

Alexander Soofer, 42, of Westwood, the executive director of the charity Abundant Blessings, was arrested this morning on a federal criminal complaint charging him with wire fraud — a felony punishable by up to 20 years in federal prison.

Soofer is accused of lining his pockets with millions of taxpayer dollars intended to combat the homelessness crisis in Los Angeles. Instead, he allegedly used the money to purchase a $7 million home, took luxury trips across the United States, and paid for his children’s private school tuition, among other luxury items.

He will make his initial appearance in federal court this afternoon. Mr. Soofer is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

For too long, California has left the spigot of taxpayer dollars on and has not provided anywhere near enough oversight of how the money is being spent.

Thankfully, the federal government is stepping in to enforce the law. We are demanding accountability — something the state’s leaders for years have failed to do.

This is the third significant arrest from our Homelessness Fraud and Corruption Task Force — and we’re just getting started.
