I thought we’d start the New Year off with Champagne Cupcakes!

Ingredients
For the cupcakes:
1 15.25 oz box vanilla or white cake mix
1 cup sparkling wine, such as champagne, prosecco or cava
3 eggs
1/2 cup vegetable oil
For the champagne buttercream:
2 sticks salted butter, softened (1 cup)
4 1/2 cups powdered sugar
2 Tbsp. heavy cream
1/2 tsp. finely grated lemon zest, optional
1/4 cup sparkling wine, such as champagne, prosecco or cava, at room temperature
Gold and white sparkly sprinkles, for garnish
Directions
For the cupcakes: Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. In a large bowl, whisk to combine the cake mix, sparkling wine, eggs and oil. Line 24 muffin cups with paper liners. Fill each with 3-4 tablespoons of batter. Bake for 12-15 minutes. Let cool for 5 minutes in the pans, then transfer the cupcakes to a wire cooling rack to cool completely, about 1 hour.
For the champagne buttercream: In the bowl of a stand mixer, beat the butter on medium speed until creamy, 1-2 minutes. Add the powdered sugar, heavy cream, lemon zest (if using) and prosecco. Mix on low speed just until combined, then increase to medium-high speed and beat for 1-2 minutes, until light and fluffy.
Spread the icing on the cupcakes or transfer it to a piping bag fitted with a large star tip. Pipe the icing around the outer edge of the cupcake, spiraling into the center until the cupcake is completely covered. Top with sprinkles and serve.
ENJOY!

Good morning, Pat! I couldn’t sleep last night at all! I was stressing about changing bank accounts….I always over-complicate things. SMDH – still dark out yet so I can’t see the sky but temp is 27. Wheezer came back and ate the dry food at some point so I refilled his bowl. The tuna will come out when I see him.

No, it’s just not local and it’s a really BIG bank whose original home bank is Canadian; also, my debit card isn’t free to use up here – it costs me at least $5 to use the ATM; plus it is selling off that branch – again – and “some” accounts won’t be included. What exactly THAT means, I haven’t a clue! Also, having been faced with my own mortality, I want to get things set up so that when the time comes, my GS will have the convenience of having the account here to support his use of my house as a rental property.

Mamdani
@NYCMayor
Just UNDID previous executive order which adopted the IHRA definition of antisemitism.
IHRA protects from discrimination Jews who believe in self determination and provides clarity on the definition.
@GovKathyHochul
Knew all along that Mamdani was going to eliminate IHRA on day one, (it was his top campaign promise) and yet she REFUSED to take action.
In June of 2022, she signed a NON-BINDING PROCLAMATION adopting IHRA, but never signed an EO.
@GovKathyHochul
Can fix this with the stroke of a pen! Will she stand up to Mamdani or will she cower to avoid a Mamdani primary? The Jewish community is watching!

NEW
As per an anonymous law enforcement source a recent NYPD recruit who was hired in December and currently in training at the police academy has submitted a reasonable accommodation request, asking to: “Be exempt from saluting the American flag”.
According to the source “the recruit claims saluting the American flag is against his reglion, and he may only praise Allah.”
It should be noted that as per the NYPD’s Administrative Guide, saluting the American Flag is a requirement.
If in fact such a request was made it should be DENIED.
Saluting the Flag is a sign of respect, it is NOT idolatry or worship. Enabling blatant disrespect to our country should be considered an undue hardship.
Remember the NYPD had no issue violating the law and arbitrarily deciding who was religious or not when it came to forcing their members who already were previously infected to take the COVID vaccine.
GOD Bless The NYPD

🚨 BREAKING: A MASSIVE new scam just blew open in Minnesota
Regular single-family homes are being rebranded as “assisted living facilities” to drain taxpayer money. And the numbers are insane.
Here’s what investigators found 👇
One of these places looks like an average house on a quiet street.
But on paper, it bills itself as an assisted living facility.
And it’s pulling in huge taxpayer dollars.
Now look at these numbers 🤯
Yes… more than Minneapolis, a city FIVE TIMES larger.
And it gets worse.
One of these “assisted living” operations is owned by a man indicted for laundering $1 MILLION in the Feeding Our Future scandal.
📌 These facilities pulled in $2.3 MILLION in state money last year alone
📌 According to Minnesota Reformer, that same individual has received $49 MILLION since 2016
This isn’t a coincidence.
This isn’t mismanagement.
This is a system being exploited on purpose.
How much longer are taxpayers supposed to fund this? 👀

Just The News: “Long-simmering conservative concerns about so-called “activist judges” have intensified in recent months, as a number of federal district court judges have repeatedly blocked major executive branch initiatives and reshaped national policy through judicial orders.
Critics argue such rulings exceed the proper role of the judiciary and concentrate outsized power in the hands of individual trial-level judges. The debate has renewed calls for intervention by the Supreme Court’s leadership and for legislative reforms that would curb judicial authority.
One judge frequently cited in these critiques is U.S. District Judge James Boasberg, of the District of Columbia. Appointed by President Barack Obama, Boasberg has overseen several high-profile cases involving executive power, administrative agencies, and national security. Conservatives point to his rulings limiting federal detention authority, scrutinizing intelligence-related actions and supervising politically sensitive investigations as emblematic of what they view as judicial overreach.
Boasberg, who also serves as the chief judge of the D.C. district court, drew particular attention for his order blocking the Trump administration’s efforts to deport Venezuelan men accused of gang ties under the 1798 Alien Enemies Act. The order prompted Texas GOP Rep. Brandon Gill to introduces articles of impeachment on the ground that Boasberg used “his judicial position to advance political gain” and obstructed “the President’s constitutional prerogatives.”
Boasberg is not alone in facing such criticism. District Judge Tanya Chutkan, also of the District of Columbia, has faced conservative criticism for her handling of cases related to the Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol riot including her rejection of broad executive immunity arguments advanced by President Donald Trump’s lawyers between his term.
And Judge Amit Mehta, another Obama appointee in the same court, has been faulted by conservatives for allowing civil lawsuits against Trump and extremist groups to proceed under expansive theories of conspiracy and incitement.
Outside Washington, Judge Jon Tigar, of the Northern District of California, has repeatedly enjoined immigration policies, including asylum restrictions, issuing rulings that applied nationwide. Conservatives argue that these decisions effectively rewrite immigration law and prevent the executive branch from exercising authority delegated by Congress.
Judge Brian Murphy, of the District of Massachusetts, has also been criticized for blocking the Trump administration’s immigration and asylum agenda.
The concentration of these cases in a handful of judicial districts has further fueled conservative frustration. Because plaintiffs can often choose where to file suit, litigants can seek out sympathetic judges, a practice some describe as “forum shopping.” The result, critics argue, is that national policy can hinge on the views of a single judge in one courthouse.
One proposed solution lies within the judiciary itself. Under the Judicial Conduct and Disability Act, the Judicial Conference of the United States may refer a judge to Congress if it determines that the judge’s conduct could warrant impeachment.
Chief Justice John Roberts, who chairs the Judicial Conference, is responsible for transmitting any such certification to lawmakers. While referrals are rare, some legal commentators contend that the mechanism should be used more aggressively when judges act beyond their constitutional authority.
Another avenue for reform lies with Congress, which has clear constitutional authority to define the jurisdiction and powers of lower federal courts. Lawmakers could, for example, require cases with national implications to be heard by three-judge panels, or mandate expedited Supreme Court review of injunctions blocking federal laws or regulations.
The debate over activist judges ultimately reflects deeper tensions about the role of courts in a polarized political system. As Congress struggles to legislate and presidents rely increasingly on executive action, courts have become a primary battleground for policy disputes. Whether through judicial self-restraint, judicial intervention, or congressional action, pressure is mounting for reforms that clarify—and potentially limit—the power of individual judges to shape national policy.”

Just The News: “President Donald Trump rejected speculation about his health in an article Thursday, declaring that there was “nothing wrong” with his health, which was supported by his doctor, who said the president was in “excellent overall health.”
The president raised eyebrows last year when he went for a second physical in the course of one year at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. White House physician Sean Barbabella gave the 79-year-old Trump a clean bill of health following the physical and said his cardiac age is 14 years younger than his actual age.
Trump completed advanced imaging, which was later revealed to be a CT scan, laboratory tests, and multiple preventative health assessments during the second visit to Walter Reed. Trump appeared to regret his decision to have the CT scan, telling the Wall Street Journal in the article Thursday that it was “too bad” he had the imaging done because it gave people “a little ammunition.”
“I would have been a lot better off if they didn’t, because the fact that I took it said, ‘Oh gee, is something wrong?’” Trump said. “Well, nothing’s wrong.”
Barbabella also defended the imaging, stating that staff recommended Trump have a second physical examination “to ensure continued optimal health,” and that the scan was to “definitively rule out any cardiovascular issues.” “The President agreed, and our team of consultants performed a CT Scan,” Barbabella told the outlet. “As we revealed in the post-examination report, the advanced imaging was perfectly normal and revealed absolutely no abnormalities.”
The doctor additionally said Trump is taking 325 mg of aspirin a day to lower the chances of a heart attack or stroke. “They say aspirin is good for thinning out the blood, and I don’t want thick blood pouring through my heart,” Trump said. “I want nice, thin blood pouring through my heart. Does that make sense?”
Trump has also faced questions about his health after bruises were spotted on his hands in recent months. But the White House said the bruises are the result of him shaking so many hands.”

Just The News: “President Trump on Friday said that the U.S. will intervene if Iran “kills peaceful protesters.”
“If Iran shots [sic] and violently kills peaceful protesters, which is their custom, the United States of America will come to their rescue,” Trump posted on Truth Social early Friday. “We are locked and loaded and ready to go. Thank you for your attention to this matter! President DONALD J.TRUMP.”
The largest protests in Iran since 2022 occurred over the weekend amid worsening economic conditions, The Hill reported.
On Thursday, the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights said that Iranian authorities detained at least 29 demonstrators amid the protests. Also on Thursday, at least three protesters were killed, and 17 others were wounded during an attack on a police station in Iran, according to Far News Agency.
Ali Larijani, the secretary of Iran’s national security council, shared Trump’s post on X on Friday, writing in response, “With the statements by Israeli officials and @realDonaldTrump, what has been going on behind the scenes is now clear. We distinguish between the stance of the protesting shopkeepers and the actions of disruptive actors, and Trump should know that U.S. interference in this internal matter would mean destabilizing the entire region and destroying America’s interests.”
“The American people should know — Trump started this adventurism. They should be mindful of their soldiers’ safety.”

USAID was funding BOTH the WUHAN Lab gain-of-function research & SMARTMATIC Election Systems.
Do you think it was a coincidence that “covid” came out right around the 2020 election?
Coincidentally, the same left-wing billionaires, NGOs, and USAID also funded the ‘NO KINGS’ protest, aka, the color revolutions across America.
This means that USAID was simultaneously funding BOTH the election-rigging technology that would steal the 2020 election WHILE manufacturing and releasing a WEAPONIZED VIRUS that would distract the world from the theft of said election while depopulating the planet at the same time. It’s all connected.
Everything is out in the open and face-up on the table… I don’t even know what to say anymore. You can’t be this naive anymore. We can’t live under this fraud and tyranny anymore.

“And fourth-hand smoke is what? When a guy is smoking in his truck with the windows up but he drives past you? With all of the other crazy shit going on in Califuckia, this is the nonsense they dwell on. The bill, Introduced by Assemblymember Liz Ortega (a Dimocrat from San Francisco, of course) and passed unanimously, California Assembly Bill 455 requires homeowners to disclose any history of thirdhand smoke or vaping residue when selling their property. Vaping residue? I may be mistaken, but isn’t that mostly just steam?
If the seller ‘has knowledge’ of any past smoking or nicotine use in the home, they must tell potential buyers in writing. The state’s Homeowners’ Guide to Environmental Hazards is also being updated to include thirdhand smoke.”

🚨New: Starting today, dining out will be more expensive in Fairfax County, Virginia. You’ll be paying a new 4% food tax on all prepared food and beverages sold as a meal. That means with the state’s 6% sales tax, you’ll be paying 10% in taxes on your bill for prepared meals at restaurants, grocery stores, gas stations, etc.
Despite claiming to want to lower costs for residents, the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors voted to implement the new food tax even after voters rejected it twice at the ballot box.

You might be wondering how Minnesota, a state once known for Scandinavian stoicism and lakes, became the global epicenter for Somali diasporic fraud. It was not an accident. It was a federal mandate. Between 2008 and 2016, the Obama administration oversaw the admission of over 54,000 Somali refugees into the United States. But they didn’t just scatter them across the 50 states. They targeted specific swing states and counties, with Minnesota being the primary dumping ground.
By the time Obama left office, Minnesota was home to the largest Somali population in the country, now estimated at over 80,000 people. This concentration was strategic. By clustering refugees in Minneapolis, the Democratic machine created a voting bloc that could be harvested for elections and a demographic that demanded massive government outlays. They called it “diversity.” In reality, it was demographic engineering.

“The Dems are Engaged in Genocide and Ethnic Cleansing”
Clandestine, Jan 02, 2026
“I think there’s a strong case to be made that the Dems are engaged in genocide and/or ethnic cleansing.
They flooded our nation with illegals, encouraged Americans to abort their babies, and destroyed all of our customs via Left-wing policies.
They are trying to replace our population with low-IQ immigrants who don’t speak English and have no idea they are being enslaved. They are trying to eliminate the American People as we know it, particularly the White People, because we stand in the way of their hostile tyrannical takeover. They are taking our tax dollars and using them to import foreigners to replace us, because we are much more difficult to rule than Somalis.
People love to throw around the word genocide, but I’d argue the real genocide is happening here in America, and in all predominantly White nations around the world.”
