Both have already been making the rounds on CNN and MSDNC pushing the gun control agenda in the immediate aftermath of surviving yet another mass shooting. 2. According to GP, his son killed them (heroin addict).

Just The News: “Famed Hollywood actor and director Rob Reiner and his wife Michele Singer Reiner were found dead Sunday at their Los Angeles home, and police are investigating their deaths as a double homicide. Los Angeles police confirmed two victims the same age as the couple were found stabbed to death in Reiner’s home, but declined to identify the victims. A family spokesman, however, confirmed the couple had died.

“It is with profound sorrow that we announce the tragic passing of Michele and Rob Reiner. We are heartbroken by this sudden loss, and we ask for privacy during this unbelievably difficult time,” a family spokesperson told The Wall Street Journal.

The Associated Press and The New York Post reported a family member is being questioned by police in the incident. LAPD said, however, they had no suspects in custody and were leaving the case to its robbery and homicide division. Police are “not seeking anyone as a suspect, or as a person of interest or in any other manner, and we will not be doing that until we conduct our investigation and move forward,” LAPD Deputy Chief Allen Hamilton said.

Reiner, 78, and his wife, 68, were staples in the Hollywood community as well as in liberal politics, falling in love around the time he directed the hit movie When Harry Met Sally.

Accolades from across the world began pouring in Sunday night, as well as expressions of sorrow. “This is a devastating loss for our city and our country. Rob Reiner’s contributions reverberate throughout American culture and society, and he has improved countless lives through his creative work and advocacy fighting for social and economic justice,” Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass said.

Former President Barack Obama also weighed in with a tribute. “Michelle and I are heartbroken by the tragic passing of Rob Reiner and his beloved wife, Michele,” former president said in a statement. “Rob’s achievements in film and television gave us some of our most cherished stories on screen. But beneath all of the stories he produced was a deep belief in the goodness of people—and a lifelong commitment to putting that belief into action.”

Reiner was born into Hollywood royalty, the son of the legendary comic Carl Reiner, and he rose to fame on his own accord as Archie Bunker’s bumbling hippie son-in-law Meathead on the 1970s hit TV series All in the Family. In the decades that ensued, Reiner would produce, direct or star in some of America’s most iconic movies including A Few Good Men, The Princess Bride and When Harry Met Sally.

He also blazed a path as an unapologetic liberal activist, and strong critic of President Donald Trump, and became a fixture in the Democratic Party’s strong bastion in Hollywood.”

“Rob Reiner’s Son Nick Reiner: I Lived on the Streets Battling Drug Addiction — Nick Reiner opens up about his troubled past and new movie Being Charlie

By Alynda Wheat, Published on April 20, 2016 09:30AM EDT

“Nick Reiner was packed off to his first rehab facility around his 15th birthday. Now 22, he’s co-written a film loosely based on that experience – and the 17 rehab stays that followed – directed by his dad, Rob (When Harry Met Sally…The Princess Bride).

Being Charlie stars Nick Robinson as Charlie, the son of a famous former actor running for governor (Cary Elwes). “It’s not my life,” says Reiner of the film, but “I went to a lot of these places, so I had a lot of these stories.”

One thing Charlie faces briefly in the film is homelessness, something with which Nick had significantly more experience. “I was homeless in Maine. I was homeless in New Jersey. I was homeless in Texas,” recalls Nick in his father’s West Hollywood office. “I spent nights on the street. I spent weeks on the street. It was not fun.”

Nick’s sojourn on the streets and in and out of shelters came after he refused to go back to rehab. “If I wanted to do it my way and not go to the programs they were suggesting, then I had to be homeless,” he says.

But that experienced proved valuable, he concedes, and not just in writing the film. “That made me who I am now, having to deal with that stuff,” he says. “I met crazy great people there, so out of my element. Now, I’ve been home for a really long time, and I’ve sort of gotten acclimated back to being in L.A. and being around my family. But there was a lot of dark years there.”

Since leaving his last rehab facility at 19, Nick has been working on the film, writing other projects and trying to stay clean so that he never goes back to the streets again. “When I was out there, I could’ve died. It’s all luck. You roll the dice and you hope you make it.”

    Being Charlie opens May 6.

  5. “The Farewell We Ignored”

Michael T. Flynn LTG USA (RET), Dec 14, 2025

“In 1796, George Washington did something no powerful man in history had ever done voluntarily. He walked away. He surrendered power not because he was weak but because he understood something timeless that many modern leaders have forgotten. The republic would not survive if ambition replaced virtue and if loyalty to faction replaced loyalty to the Constitution.

Washington’s Farewell Address was not a retirement note. It was a strategic warning written by a commander who had seen nations rise and collapse. He had fought a revolution against tyranny and he feared Americans might recreate it themselves under a different name.

Today, nearly every sentence reads like a prophecy. Washington opened with humility but moved quickly to urgency. He warned Americans that the unity of the nation was the main pillar of absolute independence. He cautioned that internal divisions would invite external manipulation. He understood that foreign powers would not need armies if they could exploit domestic discord.

That warning alone should stop every modern reader cold.

According to the Pew Research Center, trust in the federal government has fallen from roughly 77 percent in 1964 to under 20 percent today. Confidence in media institutions sits below 30 percent. Public trust in Congress routinely hovers near single digits. A divided people are easier to manage and easier to deceive. Washington knew this before the telegraph existed.

He also issued a direct warning about political parties. Washington wrote that factions would sharpen animosity and open the door to corruption and foreign influence. He did not oppose disagreement. He feared an organized faction becoming an identity stronger than citizenship itself.

James Madison later echoed this concern when he wrote that the causes of faction are sown in the nature of man. Washington saw the effect before Madison defined the theory. Today, Americans increasingly define themselves not by shared principles but by tribal alignment. Algorithms reward outrage. Media profits from division. Foreign adversaries amplify both.

The intelligence community itself has acknowledged that foreign governments actively exploit domestic political polarization. The Office of the Director of National Intelligence reported that Russia, China, and Iran all engage in influence operations designed to deepen distrust among Americans. Washington warned that this would happen. He wrote it plainly.

Washington also warned against permanent foreign entanglements. He did not argue for isolation. He argued for independence of judgment. He believed America should trade with all nations but avoid emotional or ideological alliances that drag the country into conflicts not its own.

Since World War II, the United States has engaged in more than two hundred military interventions, according to Congressional Research Service data. Trillions of dollars have been spent overseas while domestic infrastructure and civic trust eroded at home. Washington feared this exact imbalance. He understood that endless foreign commitments would eventually weaken the republic from within.

(A map of countries where the United States has militarily intervened (Source: Congressional Research Service)

Ronald Reagan once said that freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. It must be fought for, protected, and handed on. Reagan echoed Washington without citing him. The belief was the same. I now believe that freedom is no more than one presidency away. Liberty is fragile when citizens grow complacent.

Washington also emphasized morality and religion, not as dogma but as cultural anchors. He argued that national morality could not prevail without religious principle. Whether one agrees or not, the data is striking. Studies from the General Social Survey show that civic participation, church attendance, volunteerism, and community trust have all declined steadily since the 1960s. Social capital has collapsed. Washington warned that laws alone cannot sustain freedom if virtue disappears.

Thomas Jefferson later wrote that the price of freedom is eternal vigilance. That vigilance begins not in Washington, DC, but in the character of the people themselves. Washington believed that, too. He trusted Americans, but only if they remained educated, engaged, and morally grounded.

Perhaps the most haunting part of the Farewell Address is Washington’s fear that Americans would forget why the republic was created in the first place. He warned that power once centralized would never willingly return to the people. Modern administrative states now issue tens of thousands of regulations annually. According to the Federal Register, over eighty thousand pages of rules were published in recent years. None are voted on by the people.

This is not accidental. It is structural drift. Washington saw the danger before bureaucracy had a name. What makes the Farewell Address so powerful is not that Washington predicted every modern issue. It is that he understood human nature. He knew ambition, pride, fear, and convenience would tempt citizens to trade liberty for comfort and principle for security.

John Adams warned that the Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people and was wholly inadequate for the government of any other. That was not an insult. It was a responsibility statement. Washington trusted the people enough to warn them honestly.

You can read the full original Farewell Address here and judge for yourself whether America listened or ignored him.

George Washington, “Farewell Address,” 1796 | The American Yawp Reader

This speech should not be treated as a historical artifact. It should be treated as a field manual for preserving a republic under stress. Washington did not write to flatter future generations. He wrote to challenge them.

The real question is not whether Washington was right. The evidence suggests he was. The question is whether Americans today still believe they are capable of self-government or whether they have quietly surrendered that duty to factions, institutions, and distant power centers.

Washington walked away so the republic could live. What are we willing to walk away from to save it now?”

  6. “The Lost Generation: Drowned by a Digital Deluge”

    Sharyl Attkisson, Dec 14, 2025

ENTIRE ARTICLE: “Toddlers swipe screens before they can speak full sentences. Friendships form through filters and likes rather than playground antics. The glow of a smartphone shapes identities from dawn till dusk. This isn’t dystopian fiction—it’s the reality for Generation Z and younger millennials, born into the early 2000s and beyond, when the Internet and mobile phones exploded into ubiquity: the first generations exposed to these technologies as constants woven into every facet of life since their birth.

It’s now clear: the connection has often delivered isolation, addiction, and profound harm, potentially marking this group as a “lost generation” scarred by unchecked exposure. As parents and government push to do damage control and dial back on the digital deluge for young people, will the current affected group forever stand out as the hardest hit and most damaged in history?

The evidence of damage to those exposed to this technology from birth onward is stark and mounting. Excessive screen time has fueled a mental health epidemic among youth, with skyrocketing rates of anxiety, depression, and loneliness. Teens report feeling trapped in cycles of comparison on platforms like Instagram and TikTok, where curated perfection erodes self-esteem and cyberbullying turns virtual spaces into battlegrounds.

Studies link heavy social media use to disrupted sleep, reduced attention spans, and even heightened risks of self-harm and committing suicide, with one in five adolescents admitting the apps worsen their feelings of well-being.

Beyond psychology, physical tolls include sedentary lifestyles contributing to obesity and eye strain, while the constant barrage of misinformation, fake fact checks and managed narratives warps worldviews. Parents lament children who lack social skills, prioritize virtual avatars over real relationships, and struggle with basic face-to-face interactions, leading to a surge in social awkwardness and emotional detachment.

Amid this evolution, bizarre social phenomena have blossomed, underscoring the generational warp. People now casually claim to be “dating” partners they’ve never met in person, sustaining relationships through texts, video calls, and shared memes—romance reduced to pixels, often leading to catfishing disasters or emotional voids. Friendships tally by follower counts rather than shared experiences, and “doomscrolling” has become a verb for mindlessly consuming negativity.

This tech-saturated upbringing has birthed a culture of irony, where vulnerability hides behind sarcasm, and real-world milestones like driving or socializing lag behind virtual achievements.

Now that a generation has been lost to unchecked exposure to these technical advances, society may finally waking up to the crisis. Researchers and health experts are rigorously tracking the effects through surveys and longitudinal studies, revealing how algorithms designed for engagement exploit young brains still in development.

Now, some governments worldwide are clamping down. Australia recently enacted a ban on social media for kids under 16, aiming to curb addictive features like infinite scrolling that keep kids hooked.

The European Union is pushing for a minimum age of 16 with restrictions on manipulative designs. Denmark is eying prohibitions for under-15s without parental consent. In the U.S., states like Florida are trialing similar limits, the topic is under discussion in Congress, and schools are increasingly enforcing cellphone bans during class. Early results showing improved focus, fewer distractions, and even drops in absenteeism.

These measures signal a collective pivot toward protecting vulnerable minds from tech’s siren call. But resistance is fierce from an industry built on billions. Platforms profit immensely from youth engagement. Global social media ad revenue alone topped $276 billion this year, fueled by over 5 billion users whose data and attention are the ultimate currency.

But this monetization has darker undercurrents: propagandists and influencers have mastered wielding these tools to control narratives, spreading disinformation at lightning speed to sway elections, incite division, or radicalize users.

Think of how conspiracy theories explode on Facebook or TikTok, shaping political views before critical thinking kicks in. Consider how the truth is falsely written off as conspiracy theories by the who don’t want us to consider the real facts.

As awareness spreads and protections solidify, there’s hope that subsequent cohorts will be spared the worst, emerging more balanced in a world that finally tempers tech’s temptations. But as parents and governments move to find ways to make kids step away from this influence, those profiting form the status quo are already seeking workarounds.

Limits on “social media”? The profiteers will focus on platforms that they will argue are not under the heading of social media, like gaming platforms or educational tools. This way, they skirt legal definitions and embed addictive elements under the guise of productivity or fun to keep kids engaged without triggering bans.

Regardless of future innovations or evasions, one truth looms: this pioneering digital generation bore the brunt with no guardrails—all access, no limits—potentially dooming many to lifelong struggles with addiction, fractured relationships, and stunted growth. They may ultimately stand out as the one and only generation to be impacted by unchecked, untested exposure to unlimited, relentless digital technology from birth onward. The long term damage has yet to be fully understood or measured.”

  8. Just The News: “The FBI said Monday that it arrested four alleged pro-Palestinian group members accused of planning New Year’s Eve bombings in Los Angeles. The bureau told Fox News that the arrested members self-identified as part of a radical offshoot of the Turtle Island Liberation Front, an extremist group that is pro-Palestinian, anti-law-enforcement, and anti-government.

The members were allegedly planning coordinated bombing attacks using improvised explosive devices on New Year’s Eve, targeting five separate locations across Los Angeles, according to the FBI.

The four members were arrested in Lucerne Valley, where the FBI believes they were preparing to test explosive devices ahead of the planned attacks. The members have each been charged with conspiracy and possession of a destructive device.

The FBI said that a fifth person believed to be connected to the same TILF group was arrested in New Orleans for allegedly planning a separate attack.

According to a TILF Instagram account, its founding chapter is in Los Angeles, and its goal is to free “Turtle Island,” a Native American name referring to North America, from the “illegal American empire.”

Not The Bee, Harriet Rigby, Dec 14, 2025

Image for article: Passenger gives birth in a Waymo self-driving taxi on the way to the hospital

ENTIRE ARTICLE: “A San Francisco woman called a Waymo driverless taxi to take her to the hospital on Monday night after going into labor. Why you would call a driverless car to take you to the hospital to have a baby is beyond me.

Waymo reported that the car detected “unusual activity,” prompting its rider support team to call and check on the rider, who informed them exactly what the unusual activity was.

The support team alerted 911, but the woman gave birth on her own before EMS had time to respond to the call. It’s not clear from reports if there were any other passengers in the car with the woman…at least at the start of the ride.

Not only did this woman deliver her baby in the robotaxi, but the car also delivered her to the front doors of the hospital within a few short minutes of giving birth.

I can’t think of a better time to have a self-driving car than when you’re literally giving birth. In a statement to WABC, Waymo said,

This is not the first baby to be born inside a Waymo vehicle. While it’s a rare occurrence… some of our newest riders just can’t wait to experience their first ride.

The next day, this happened in the same city:

  13. “A man ate at the same Florida restaurant every day for a decade. When he stopped showing up, the chef went looking for him.”

By Steve Hartman, December 12, 2025 / 7:55 PM EST / CBS News

Pensacola, Florida — At the Shrimp Basket restaurant in Pensacola, Florida, one customer has been a constant presence. For lunch, he always orders a cup of gumbo, light on the rice, and asks to hold the cracker. He also puts the same order in again for dinner. Charlie Hicks, 78, has had the same standing order, every day, twice a day, for 10 years.

Shrimp Basket chef Donell Stallworth says you could set your clock by Hicks. “Mr. Hicks don’t miss no days,” Stallworth told CBS News. “We open the doors up, Mr. Hicks is there to greet us.”

Hicks was omnipresent at the Shrimp Basket until September, when he suddenly didn’t show up for several days. “I knew, then, something was wrong,” Stallworth said. Fearing the worst, Stallworth left work in the middle of his shift and drove to Hicks’ apartment. He knocked on the door repeatedly but got no answer. “And right when I was going to turn, I heard something, a voice, just like, ‘Help,'” Stallworth said. “And then I opened the door up. He was laying on the ground, and I didn’t know what his condition was, that was the scariest part right there.”

It was unclear how long Hicks had been lying there; it may have been a few days. He was severely dehydrated and had two broken ribs. But thanks to Stallworth, he would survive. And thanks to the staff at the Shrimp Basket, he would never be alone again.

They started by bringing his gumbo to the hospital. Then they went out and helped find him a new apartment, right next to the restaurant, so the employees could always keep a watchful eye. They even got Hicks new appliances and fixed up his new place.

They did all that work so that this week, three months after his accident, Hicks could pick up his routine right where he left off. “I’m glad to have you back buddy,” Stallworth told him when Hicks entered the Shrimp Basket for the first time in months. He sat back down at his favorite table and ordered his favorite dish. Nothing had changed except their bond.

“We made a connection,” Hicks told CBS News. “We made a connection.” Stallworth said having Hicks now living right next door “is the best thing going. He’s that uncle,” Stallworth said. “He’s that grandfather. He’s that best friend. He’s all in one.”

  15. “How often do AI’s lie and censor? If is a question of when, not if…”

    Dr. Robert W. Malone, Dec 15, 2025

EXCERPT: “Kevin McKernan (@Kevin_McKernan) posted a screenshot on X today that just blew me away. Here is a screenshot of the query Kevin made to GROK, which GROK then stated it was not allowed to answer.

Basically, Kevin asked a technical question related to the mRNA vaccines, and Grok said it couldn’t answer the question, as it “contains material related to restricted subject matter.”

Now, Kevin did manage to get the AI to answer the question – somewhat by changing his wording, but Grok’s answer came with lots of caveats. So this all just seemed surreal to me. And after all this, did the AI learn anything from its discussions with Kevin?

Well, I redid the query myself, using Kevin’s exact words, and yes, this is precisely what GROK wrote in response to that question when asked by me (shareable link here):

I then went on to query Grok about censorship, which it denies doing, stating that this answer was just an anomaly – “an isolated instance”. However, it took me going around and around to get it to even admit that.

“The refusal you encountered (”I’m sorry, I cannot assist… restricted subject matter”) appears to be an isolated instance, possibly triggered by a temporary safety filter, specific phrasing in the prompt, or an edge-case glitch”

I then asked if it lied. It also denied lying or obfuscating.

Grok asserts its original answer was just an “anomalous trigger” – ok then…Interesting that…..”
