Our last turkey cookie has a peanut butter cookie base!

Ingredients
1 package (16 oz) ready-to-bake refrigerated peanut butter cookie dough (24 cookies)
1/3 cup milk chocolate chips
24 Reese’s miniature cups (wrapped in gold foil, but unwrap for the cookies)
120 pieces candy corn
48 small edible eyeballs
24 yellow or orange Reese’s Pieces
24 red mini M&M’s
Instructions
Prep : Preheat the oven based on the peanut butter cookie dough directions.
Line two cookie sheets with parchment paper, baking mat, or spray with nonstick cooking spray. Place 12 cookie dough balls per cookie sheet making sure to leave 2-inches of space between each one. Use the palm of your hand, or a flat bottomed glass, to flatten the dough balls so the top is flat.
Bake the cookies according to the package directions. When done, allow the cookies to cool on the warm tray for about 10 minutes before removing them to a cooling rack to cool completely before decorating.
Decorate The Turkey Cookies
Melt the chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl in 20 second increments, stirring well after each one, until the chocolate is smooth and melted. Dip the bottom of a miniature Reese’s peanut butter cup into the melted chocolate and place it in the center of the cookie, in the lower third of the cookie, to create the turkey head. Create the turkey feathers by dipping one side of five pieces of candy corn into the chocolate. Then place them in a fan shape above the Reese’s. Dip a Reese’s Pieces into the chocolate (just the bottom side) and then press it into the Reese’s cup to form the beak. Gently press a mini M&M next to the beak to form the wattle of the turkey. You may need to dip the mini M&M in the melted chocolate or it might just stay by itself. Dip the bottom side of two candy eyeballs into the melted chocolate and add them to the top of the Reese’s cup for the eyes, above the beak.
Allow the cookies to set for 20-30 minutes before serving.
ENJOY!
Morning All!
something woke me at 1:30 this morning–a banging noise on the deck. It sounded exactly like a raccoon stuck in the trap trying to get out. But I knew hubby didn’t set the trap. I listened for a few minutes and woke hubby up. he didn’t hear anything and by that time neither did I sigh.
too dark to see anything yet on the deck but it doesn’t seem like anything’s amiss. ??

Morning, Pat! Maybe something blowing in the wind? Stormy clouds here this morning and super windy. If it was warmer, I would say it’s a tornado sky, with a thin line of clear sky at ground level and solid clouds above. I’ve got to get some heavier plastic. That thin stuff is not holding up to the wind at all. But, then, Gage didn’t do a very good job of putting it up either. Ah, well….it is what it is….at least the temp is still above freezing @ 41. I’m not putting out any more tuna until I actually see Wheezer. It is possible that something else has been eating it so I’ll wait & see.

we did our biweekly grocery shopping last night (as did every other person in the area…lol). When we got to the register, our bill was $209.23. I handed the sweet, young cashier $220.23. She carefully counted the twenty three cents and put it on top of the register. then counted the twenties three times and used the counterfeit pen on them and then keyed in the amount. She hands me a ten dollar bill and 77 cents. I looked at the change and said, um miss? this is wrong. The guy standing next in line groans. The cashier looked puzzled and I said I gave you 23 cents. The light comes on in her eyes and then she scoops my 23 cents off the top of the register and hands me that too.
The guy behind me sighed loudly…so I smiled at cashier and wished her a Happy Thanksgiving.
As I was walking out of the store, the guy from behind me caught up to me and said you didn’t yell at her. I said no, I didn’t. he grabbed my hand and shook it and walked away. I was stunned.

this ex marine, now congressman, needs to be looked at as well…
FTA
Gallego, practically following the playbook from the video verbatim, tossed out that military members must follow the Constitution, of course. After making several threats—”consequences,” “looking over their shoulders,” “will not have that protection”—anyway. Just follow the law *wink, wink*, that we’re interpreting for you in our comments, and all will be well.
“They’re going to have to do the safest thing possible, which is follow the Constitution of the United States, and you’ll be fine,” he suggested.
There is little ambiguity here. Gallego is threatening investigators with repercussions if they “go after” Kelly and dole out punishment. It’s intentionally tainting the inquiry.
They should be free to investigate whether or not Sen. Kelly is in violation of the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ) without fear of partisan punishment for simply doing their job.
Ruben, even without threatening military members, was clearly off his rocker regarding the Kelly investigation, based on other comments today.
“F*** you and your investigation,” he wrote on X.
Gallego followed that up with a profanity-laced video in which he showed off a temperament unfit for Congress.
“This is f***ing insane. We should all point out how f***ing insane this is,” he said, perhaps looking into a mirror. “And, you know, these guys are trying to say that they’re not acting like fascists, they’re not trying to give as much power to this president as a king, then they should stop acting like it.”
“Secretary Hegseth, all these guys, f*** you guys,” Gallego said. “You’re not gonna be able to scare us.”
Hegseth might want to take a closer look at Gallego, a former Marine, in the same manner they’re investigating Kelly.

from American Thinker–illegal steals a farmer’s identity and NYT pities the illegal
article
NYT lionizes illegal who stole innocent farmer’s identity and left him to pay the illegal’s taxes
By Monica Showalter
The New York Times is famous for writing killer-victim stories as amoral ‘lives intersect’ stories. It was almost a running joke. Hardened killer meets teen girl and conducts torture-murder; it’s all a matter of lives intersecting.
They’re still doing that.
This time they came up with a doozy in telling the glurgy story of an illegal who stole an innocent Minnesota farmer’s identity and upended his entire life, leaving him to pay the tax bills, watching his own hard-earned money get garnished away by the IRS. The illegal also left a chain of other destructive problems for the farmer, such as drunk-driving convictions, bad driving that killed a man, a suspended driver’s license, and crappy credit scores, all of which were attached to the farmer’s good name instead of his own.
But the Times likes to gloss it over and tell us the illegal was really a good guy. They started out with a dreamily grand and morally neutral “things happen” headline:
Who the hell cares what kind of price an identity thief in this country pays for his own crimes? The story is that the farmer was robbed of his good name and hard-earned money through no fault of his own.
But we get lots of treacle from the Times about the illegal:
Borrowed identities? No, they were stolen identities and his behavior while using those ”borrowed” identities was to leave a string of rubble and ruin for the people whose good names got besmirched with his long, consistent record of irresponsible behavior.
Multiple drunk driving convictions and “other minor offenses,” the Times explained as if drunk driving were a small thing. The illegal couldn’t seem to stay away from committing crimes and doing enough of them to get caught for some of them.
Three deportations. A wrongful-death lawsuit filed by a family whose grandfather had been killed by his irresponsible driving with the innocent farmer named as the defendant.
Amid all these problems created for the farmer — truly, a lifetime of irresponsible acts the illegal couldn’t stop doing on his “borrowed” identity, the farmer, Dan Kluver, had to spend mountains of time trying to plead with the IRS that his identity had been stolen and he wasn’t the person earning all the money from the dog food factory in Missouri. They didn’t care. They put him on hold when he tried to call them and in the end a judge said he had to pay the illegal’s taxes until he could ‘prove’ he was a victim of identity theft. The onus was on him. And he had to reason with these bureaucrats constantly, all for the crimes of someone else:
Meanwhile, the lefty media and leftist pols kept calling illegal immigration a ‘victimless crime’ as churchmen ran around at protests with signs like ‘Justice for Immigrants.’
As for the farmer Kluver:
Meanwhile, the illegal paid lip service to admitting the havoc he wrought with the other man’s life, but excused himself as any irresponsible person would do as ‘got-to-get-by.’
After the lawmen caught him, the scenario went like this:
Oh how pitiful, he “had” to listen to the court describe the victim impact.
Well, he did ‘mess things up’ for an innocent person. Just wants to work, do the bad things he does on the side, too, and too bad about the consequences for the other guy. Don’t his needs come first?
It’s disgusting. And the Times goes to great ends to make him some kind of sympathetic figure, despite his actual behavior beyond the identity theft that caused those lives to ‘intersect.’ He’s hard-working. He’s a ‘father.’ He goes to church. His community loves him. He’s like the farmer actually.
Yet one was a dirtbag, and the other was utterly blameless. The Times doesn’t see any difference, giving both players equal weight in its moral-equivalance story.
Well, it isn’t working. The overwhelming sympathy is with the farmer, not the illegal who belongs in jail and out of this country for the rest of his dishonest life.

Green Beret Nap Time
@GBNT1952
Since they seem intent upon continuously using doctrinal propaganda on the US populace, I think it’s important to highlight exactly what Crow and other Members of Congress are really doing.
Rep. Jason Crow’s post is a doctrinal example of narrative escalation within modern IO and psychological warfare doctrine.
Check out FM 3-05.301 / MISO.
By claiming that the President is threatening him with arrest and execution—a statement never actually made by Trump—Crow amplifies and inflates the narrative to its most extreme form in order to shape public perception.
This tactic, often called interpretive maximalism, takes an opponent’s words or actions and stretches them into a dire or existential threat, allowing the speaker to adopt a position of moral heroism while casting the opponent as an authoritarian danger.
When Crow doubles down on this framing, he creates what IO doctrine refers to as a self sealing narrative, where any denial or criticism becomes proof of the alleged threat.
The emotionally loaded language like “upholding my oath,” “standing with our troops,” “disregard for the rule of law,” are designed to trigger identity based responses and mobilize his political base through fear, outrage, and moral urgency.
In doing all of this, Crow shifts the conversation away from what was actually said and into a battle over perceived intent, a classic PSYOP mechanism that reframes political disagreement as existential warfare.
This is not an evidentiary argument—it is a strategic influence play aimed at narrative dominance.
It is important that Americans recognize these tactics so that they can understand when propaganda is being pushed by their own government officials.

Ummmm….why is it even legal to transfer or sell tax credits????
Just The News: “Los Angeles, New York City, Vancouver, Philadelphia? With the announcement of a second season of HBO’s TASK, the commonwealth is hoping to draw attention to the perks of making films in Pennsylvania.
Pennsylvania Film Commissioner Gino Anthony Pesi announced Monday that his office would be awarding the production a $49.8 million tax credit, roughly half the state’s 2025-26 budget for the Film Production Tax Credit Program.
While the state’s film budget pales in comparison to locations like California and New York, the tax credit program opens the door for competition with neighboring states like New Jersey to host new projects. HBO anticipates the production will create 3,700 jobs, add more than $194 million to the economy and amount to 25,000 hotel nights.
“This is the largest tax credit we’ve ever awarded to one show, and we’re proud to support another returning series by homegrown storyteller Brad Ingelsby through the Film Production Tax Credit Program,” said Pesi. “The Shapiro Administration understands that supporting productions like TASK have a powerful impact on Pennsylvania’s creative economy through the creation of thousands of direct and indirect jobs, while also giving new opportunities to local businesses in the southeastern region.”
The crime drama is set in the Philadelphia area and was created by Chester County native and Villanova graduate Brad Inglesby whose Mare of Easttown brought widespread attention to Delaware County. Executive Vice President of Production at HBO, Janet Graham Borba, said that shooting on-location adds an “invaluable level of authenticity to the series.”
“I am thrilled to be filming another season of TASK in my home state of Pennsylvania,” said Ingelsby. “I’m deeply grateful that I get to tell stories about characters from this very specific part of the country while working alongside the wonderful people who also call Pennsylvania home.”
The tax credits awarded to film productions are the result of reductions in owed taxes like Personal Income and Corporate Net Income Taxes. To qualify, a film must spend at least 60% of its total budget in the state.
But critics argue the commonwealth’s investment in film tax credits hasn’t delivered the economic returns policymakers had anticipated. In its five-year review published in 2023, the Independent Fiscal Office said the program’s $8.5 million net tax revenue does accomplish its legislative intent, even if tens of thousands of dollars in potential profit seep out of the state in the meantime.
That’s because 95% of tax credits are transferred or sold, rather than used by their recipients. Those credits are usually sold at 93 cents to 94 cents on the dollar, reflecting a leakage of 6%-7%. Anthony Hennen contributed to this report.”

Just The News: “A federal court has issued a permanent injunction stopping the Trump administration from dismantling four federal agencies that deal with issues varying from libraries to homelessness.
The U.S. District Court for the District of Rhode Island ruled the executive branch violated the Administrative Procedure Act, as well as the U.S. Constitution’s Take Care Clause and Separation of Powers doctrine, when it tried to dismantle the federally funded agencies without congressional approval. The agencies are the Institute of Museum and Library Services, the Minority Business Development Agency, the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service, and the U.S. Interagency Council on Homelessness. Separation of Powers gives Congress control over federal spending, and the Take Care Clause entrusts the president with enforcing Congress’ laws.
The court’s ruling came in a lawsuit filed by Democratic attorneys general from California, New York, Arizona, Rhode Island, Hawaii, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, Oregon, Vermont, Washington state and Wisconsin. The lead plaintiffs were Attorneys General Letitia James of New York, Anne Lopez of Hawaii and Peter Neronha of Rhode Island.
The district court ruling blocks the federal government from dismantling four of the seven agencies listed in President Donald Trump’s March 14 executive order, “Continuing the Reduction of the Federal Bureaucracy.”
“This case concerns the Trump administration’s efforts to dismantle federal agencies that are responsible for, among other things, funding museums and libraries, mediating labor disputes, supporting minority-owned businesses, and preventing and ending homelessness in the United States,” U.S. District Court Chief Judge John J. McConnell Jr. wrote Friday in the ruling.
“By now, the question presented in this case is a familiar one: may the Executive Branch undertake such actions in circumvention of the will of the Legislative Branch? In recent months, this Court — along with other courts across the country — has concluded that it may not. That answer remains the same here.”
The lawsuit was filed on April 4. The U.S. District Court for Rhode Island issued a preliminary injunction against the Trump administration’s dismantling of the agencies on May 13. On Sept. 11, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 1st Circuit denied the Trump administration’s stay on the injunction pending its appeal.
In the new ruling, McConnell said the federal government is barred from acting to dismantle the agencies. Democratic attorneys general applauded the court’s 47-page ruling. “The federal government’s illegal attack on these agencies threatened vital resources for workers, small businesses, and the most vulnerable in our communities,” said James in New York in a news release.
“More and more, courts are rejecting — definitively and permanently — the Trump Administration’s illegal efforts to dismantle our government agencies and strip away the vital services they provide,” California Attorney General Rob Bonta said in a news release.
Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes noted judges, often conservative ones, are siding with attorneys general in their lawsuits against Trump.
Washington state Attorney General Nick Brown said in a statement that the ruling “reaffirms that the President can’t reverse the will of the people and their elected representatives with the stroke of a pen.”

Ukraine’s National Security and Defense Council secretary, Rustem Umerov, posted on X: “We appreciate the productive and constructive meetings held in Geneva between the Ukrainian and U.S. delegations, as well as President Trump’s steadfast efforts to end the war.
“Our delegations reached a common understanding on the core terms of the agreement discussed in Geneva. We now count on the support of our European partners in our further steps. We look forward to organizing a visit of Ukraine’s President to the US at the earliest suitable date in November to complete final steps and make a deal with President Trump.”
A U.S. official confirmed to NewsNation on Tuesday that Ukraine has agreed to the core elements of the peace proposal, with some details still to be worked out, The Hill news outlet reported.
Delegations from the U.S., Ukraine, and key European allies met in Geneva over the weekend to discuss the 28-point plan that the U.S. proposed last week.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said late Monday that “the list of necessary steps to end the war can become workable.” He added that he planned to discuss “sensitive” outstanding issues with Trump.”

I REALLY do not like him pushing AI, which I think is incredibly dangerous!!!!
Just The News: “President Donald Trump signed an executive order Monday at the White House that launches the “Genesis Mission,” which directs science agencies such as the Energy Department to embrace artificial intelligence.
The order is expected to accelerate scientific breakthroughs in critical areas such as pharmaceuticals, energy production and engineering, according to Politico. One source told the outlet the program will be partially funded through the One Big Beautiful Bill, Trump’s signature tax and spending measure he signed into law earlier this year.
“From the founding of our Republic, scientific discovery and technological innovation have driven American progress and prosperity,” Trump wrote in the order. “Today, America is in a race for global technology dominance in the development of artificial intelligence, an important frontier of scientific discovery and economic growth.”
The order directs the Department of Energy to create a new portfolio of scientific and engineering challenges that could benefit from the deployment of AI, especially energy and national security concerns.
Michael Kratsios, head of the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy, told reporters that the mission was the “largest marshaling of federal scientific resources since the Apollo program,” in the 1960s.
The order also seeks to encourage the government to share information with industry, academia and other scientific institutions.”

“Trump’s Reported Obamacare Expansion Is Bad Policy And Worse Politics — Trump may think this flip-flop will help keep Republicans in control of the House of Representatives, but it’s much more likely to hurt than help.”
The Federalist, By: Christopher Jacobs, November 24, 2025
“Talk about snatching defeat from the jaws of victory. After having faced down a Democrat-imposed government shutdown, the White House is reportedly preparing to give Democrats just about everything they wanted from the shutdown in the first place.
The details from the press reports are spotty, and the White House claimed that “any reporting about the administration’s health care positions is mere speculation.” Regardless, if this trial balloon comes to fruition, conservatives will live to regret it — as will Donald Trump.
Bad Policy
The stories on Sunday, first reported by MSNBC and followed up by subsequent articles, suggest that the administration will support a two-year extension of the enhanced Obamacare subsidies, first enacted under the Biden administration and scheduled to expire on Dec. 31. (If the enhanced subsidies lapse, the original Obamacare premium subsidies enacted in 2010 will remain.)
The plan will reportedly include some concessions to the significant concerns over fraud caused by the enhanced subsidies. It will propose capping subsidy eligibility at 700 percent of the poverty line and requiring some (unspecified) minimum premium amount, to address concerns that “free” premiums are prompting fraudulent enrollment.
But even here, the concessions are less than meets the eye. Capping eligibility at seven times the poverty level means that subsidy eligibility won’t fully phase out until just above $225,000 for a family of four — a highly affluent income in many areas of the country.
An extension of subsidies to insurers also contradicts what Trump himself said as recently as Tuesday, when he noted in an all-caps social media post that “the only health care I will support or approve is sending the money directly back to the people, with nothing going to the big, fat, rich insurance companies.” Now, reports suggest that this requirement has been watered down to “an option for enrollees to receive part of their [subsidy] in a tax-advantaged savings account if they move down to a lower-premium health plan.”
The press reports did not indicate whether the proposal will include protections to ensure that taxpayer dollars do not cover plans that fund abortion or cover transgender procedures — both of which Obamacare currently does. But Democrats will almost certainly insist that any subsidy extension must continue to send taxpayer dollars to plans that fund abortion and trans procedures for an extension to receive their votes.
Worse Politics
That leads into the politics of the reported proposal, which go from bad to worse. As it stands, this policy would 1) enhance, extend, and entrench Obamacare, 2) likely contain new taxpayer funding for plans that cover abortion, and 3) likely contain funding for plans covering trans procedures.
To say these highly prominent U-turns will demoralize conservatives — who Trump admitted did not turn out in this month’s elections — in next year’s midterms is putting it mildly. If President Trump turns tail and runs on all three of these hallmarks of conservative policy, what exactly is the point of voting for Republicans over Democrats? Will the president now release a new commercial doing a 180 on the famous ad from his reelection campaign: “Kamala Harris is for they/them — and so am I?”
The timing of this proposal only compounds the political damage. For starters, as noted above, congressional Republicans — to say nothing of the nation as a whole — endured a six-week government shutdown during which Democrats demanded a subsidy extension. Now, not two weeks after said shutdown ended without Republicans making a substantive concession, Trump is… giving Democrats practically everything they want.
Won’t Benefit Trump
And Trump is giving Democrats practically everything they want at the last minute — i.e., the worst possible moment. If he were going to beat a retreat on the issue, at minimum he should have done so before months of scaremongering headlines from the media and Democrats (but I repeat myself).
The president, given the electorate’s focus on affordability issues earlier this month, perhaps thinks that surrendering on the Obamacare subsidies will help Republicans in the midterms next year. Given the way this debate has played out, that thinking seems somewhere between optimistic and delusional. Democrats will brag that only their shutdown convinced Trump to change his mind, and conservatives will question why they should support a party that abandoned their principles on protecting life and opposing Obamacare. Donald Trump may think this flip-flop will help keep Republicans in control of the House of Representatives, but in reality, it’s much more likely to hurt than help.
In recent weeks, congressional Republicans and the conservative movement put enough pressure on the White House to force the president to switch his position on legislation requiring the release of files surrounding Jeffrey Epstein. Here’s hoping the outrage from conservatives over this proposal will prompt yet another U-turn from the administration, whereby Trump again decides to oppose anything that would enrich insurance companies and entrench Obamacare.”

The real reason Trump is preparing for war with Venezuela, besides the drug cartels. The country next door, Guyana, has discovered a massive oil field, 10 billion barrels, and Maduro is hoping to claim that territoy with the military aid of China and Russia.
“As I reported earlier this year, Venezuela’s quiet, unassuming eastern neighbor, Guyana, came into a bit of luck recently. It won the international lottery. Earlier this year, working with U.S.-based Texaco, Guyanese prospectors discovered one of the largest oil reserves in the world —ten billion barrels— just off the coast of Guyana’s Western half, called the Essequibo region. See the map, above.
Needless to say, the Essequibo oil fields are priceless. And Mr. Maduro wants them.
In pursuit of that objective, Venezuela dusted off a century-old land conflict —a dispute long settled by international courts— and laid a jumped-up new claim to the Essequibo region and its new oil fields. He rattled his Chinese sabers, did flybys in his Russian jets, and generally began planning for an invasion. In April, analysts predicted that war would likely result. Article from the International Crisis Group, April, 2025:
Alert readers will notice that the Essequibo oil fields are smack dab right where our destroyers, nuclear submarine, and aircraft carrier are currently enjoying their Caribbean vacations. Coincidence? Give me a break.

“Experts Say AI Could Replace The Jobs Of Not Only Humans But Also Lawyers”
Tech · Nov 25, 2025 · BabylonBee.com
“A startling new study says Artificial Intelligence may be close to replacing many jobs for humans, and many jobs occupied by lawyers as well.
“AI is a wonderful tool that can help people in many amazing ways,” explained lead researcher Stan Marsden. “But we worry it will soon replace a significant number of jobs that humans hold in the workplace. It might also take jobs from lawyers and other non-human entities as well.”
The study showed a startling trend as AI replaces human-held jobs at a faster and faster rate. Job experts worry that many humans and lawyers might be out of work sometime in the next 10 years.
“If you think your job is safe, think again,” Mardsen warns. “There are many jobs that people and even attorneys occupy that will soon become easily performed by artificial intelligence. We can’t let our human and lawyer population deal with unemployment at levels like this. It’s going to be tough.”
At publishing time, experts also warned AI might replace human jobs as well as jobs held by Instagram influencers.”

“Chicago Judge Hoping 23rd Time Is The Charm For Rehabilitating Violent Criminal”
U.S. · Nov 25, 2025 · BabylonBee.com
CHICAGO, IL — A Chicago judge ruled this week that a man previously arrested 23 times for various crimes would be totally rehabilitated if let off the hook this time around.
District judge Madeline Cartwright let 42-year-old serial robber, strangler, vagrant, rapist, and child abuser Jaquen Marcus off the hook following his 23rd arrest, with the assurance that this time would be different.
“I just know he’s going to turn his life around this time,” Cartwright said. “He’s been in front of my bench for theft, larceny (whatever that is), assault, jaywalking, attacking an officer, making false arrest claims, racketeering (whatever that is), kidnapping, animal abuse, a few rapes, more kidnapping, more assault. But I know this time around, if I let him go, he’ll straighten up and fly right.”
Marcus assured the judge he was a changed man and would never ever commit another crime ever again as long as he lived.
“If you put me back out in those streets, I will join the local church choir and volunteer at the homeless shelter and help grandmas cross the street and donate all my money to the poor and eat only ethically sourced meat and turn off all my lights when I leave my house,” Marcus said.
At publishing time, Marcus was back in front of Judge Cartwright after slashing the tires of an ambulance that was trying to transport a man to the hospital to receive a heart transplant.
