    1. Oh, dear! Rest up & take care of yourself. Hope your Mom is doing well…and what about that pot???? Gage is coming today and we will go pick up my mower and get the plastic on the patio windows, then we will load the china closet & hutch into my truck to take to his house. I have some shopping to do at WM as well. My SIL and I moved it 10 years ago – I hope I’m still strong enough.

      1. Good Morning Filly!
        PLEASE BE CAREFUL!!
she insists someone must have taken it. I brought her cookies in a cookie tin the first we visited. I think she briefly forgot the word for tin or can and thought “pot” and now she’s stuck on “pot”.
there’s a tall white fence she can see from her window and she watches the squirrels run along it and it amuses her. Sometimes she calls it a bridge though and sometimes the squirrels are bunnies. She sometimes has trouble with words.

          1. i am really considering memory cards for her but I’m not sure how she’d take it. there’s a picture on the front of an object and you have to name the object–the name is on the back. helps with memory.

            1. I would think it might insult her and at this point, so what if she gets her words mixed up! Maybe ask her if she would like it…..?

The Optional Practical Training program is a cheap foreign-labor program for big companies and universities.

    But it’s undermining young Americans.

It’s time to overhaul or possibly end this terribly broken program all together.
OPT boxes young Americans out of the workforce, discriminates against American workers in favor of foreign labor, and suppresses wages and job opportunities for U.S. graduates. It distorts our higher education system, feeds “visa mill” fraud, and threatens our national security.
Under OPT, foreign nationals can work in the U.S. on student visas for up to 12 months after graduation, and up to three years for STEM fields.

In practice, it’s become a shadow guest-worker program, with no caps, labor-market tests, or any meaningful limits or standards at all.
In this way, OPT essentially allows companies to bypass the (modest and insufficient) protections of visa programs like H-1B, and draw from a virtually unlimited pipeline of low-cost foreign labor.

Employers face no obligation to recruit or even consider Americans first.
The entire system rigs the game against Americans.

OPT workers are exempt from payroll taxes. That means that businesses are basically getting a tax break every time they hire a foreign worker over an American.

One study found OPT now amounts to a “$4 billion tax exemption.”
There’s another incentive for employers, too:

Foreign workers who want to stay here after their OPT ends need to be sponsored by a U.S. employer. As a result, they’re often uniquely compliant and hesitant to complain about subpar wages or conditions.
Job brokers steal wages, entrap Indian tech workers in US – Reveal
Labor brokers providing Indian high-tech workers to American companies are gaming a professional visa program, creating a shadow world that can turn a worker’s dream of self-betterment into a financia…

So of course, OPT participation has exploded. The program’s numbers have more than doubled since 2007. Last year, they reached all-time highs.

Today, by some estimates, the number of foreign students working in America via paid “training” programs is in excess of half a million. Image
Most foreign students who enroll in these programs pursue degrees in STEM fields, and are hired by employers in the tech and STEM industries.

These employers argue this system is necessary to fill “worker shortages,” claiming they simply can’t find Americans to work these jobs.
The data tells a different story. American STEM and tech students have some of the highest post-grad unemployment rates of any major in the job market.

In early 2025, physics majors had the second-highest unemployment rate of any discipline among recent U.S. college graduates.
In fact, physics majors had more than DOUBLE the unemployment rate for majors such as philosophy, art history, and “ethnic studies”.

Computer engineering had the third-highest unemployment rate, closely followed by computer science and “information systems” in the top 10.
These programs aren’t just boxing young Americans out of our workforce. They’re boxing them out of our universities too.

There are now over 1.1 million foreign students in the U.S. system—an all-time record. At many top schools, foreigners now make up 20–30% of the student body. Image
    Why? Money.

Universities can often charge foreign students far higher tuition than American kids. So instead of serving our own citizens, our higher education system is effectively acting as a glorified labor broker, feeding foreign workers into U.S. jobs at Americans’ expense.
There is no tenable reason that American students and graduates should be forced to compete against an uncapped flood of foreign labor in our own schools and businesses—except to pad the profit margins of companies and colleges that view our own young people as an inconvenience.
Americans never asked for—or even authorized—OPT. It was invented (then expanded) by unelected bureaucrats in D.C., without the input/approval of Congress

If executive action created this system, it can reform or end it too.

🚨 Q: Why is President Trump going after Thomas Massie?

JD VANCE: It’s one thing to disagree with the party on an issue…voting against the party on *EVERY single issue*? Every time we’ve needed Thomas for a vote, he’s been completely unwilling to provide it. That’s why Trump turned his ire on Massie. We could never count on him for some of the most difficult votes. I say that as someone who knew Thomas well before I got into politics.

  5. Just The News: “The Department of Homeland Security confirmed Saturday that it has begun immigration enforcement operations in Charlotte, N.C.

“Americans should be able to live without fear of violent criminal illegal aliens hurting them, their families, or their neighbors,” Assistant Homeland Security Secretary Tricia McLaughlin said in a statement, The Associated Press reported. “We are surging DHS law enforcement to Charlotte to ensure Americans are safe and public safety threats are removed.”

Local officials, including Charlotte Mayor Vi Lyles (D), criticized the federal government’s actions, saying in a joint statement that they “are causing unnecessary fear and uncertainty.”

“We want people in Charlotte and Mecklenburg County to know we stand with all residents who simply want to go about their lives,” the statement said, which was also signed by County Commissioner Mark Jerrell and Charlotte-Mecklenburg school board member Stephanie Sneed.

The federal government hadn’t previously announced the immigration enforcement in Charlotte, but Mecklenburg County Sheriff Garry McFadden said on Thursday that he was notified by two federal officials who said U.S. Customs and Border Patrol personnel would be arriving in the Charlotte area either Saturday or early next week.

“We value and welcome the renewed collaboration and open communication with our federal partners,” McFadden said in a statement. “It allows us to stay informed and be proactive in keeping Mecklenburg County safe and to maintain the level of trust our community deserves.”

The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department said before the federal officers arrived that it isn’t involved in the immigration enforcement.

Charlotte has more than 900,000 residents, including more than 150,000 who are foreign-born, according to local officials.

North Carolina Gov. Josh Stein (D) said Friday that the vast majority of those detained in these immigration operations have no criminal convictions, and some are U.S. citizens.

Stein urged people to record any “inappropriate behavior” they see and notify local law enforcement.

The Trump administration has been cracking down on violent crime and illegal immigration nationwide in recent months, with National Guard troops deployed in Chicago, Washington, D.C., Memphis, and Los Angeles, while immigration officers carried out raids. It has also tried to deploy troops in Portland, but has been blocked by courts so far.”

  6. THIS happens far too often!!!!

EXCERPT: “A lawsuit filed on behalf of a young woman whose childhood abuse report was dismissed and who was later wrongfully prosecuted underscores what her attorneys describe as systemic failures in how law enforcement agencies handle reports of sexual abuse made by minors.

The case of Taylor Cadle, now 21, has drawn renewed attention to the need for trauma-informed investigative practices and accountability within police departments. In 2016, when Taylor was 12 years old, she reported years of sexual abuse by her adoptive father.

Detectives involved in the case dismissed her account, conducted coercive interviews, and pursued a charge of providing false information. A year later, at just 13, Taylor pled guilty to that charge without legal counsel and remained in the home with her abuser under a probation order.

It was not until 2017 that Taylor’s own documentation of new evidence led to her father’s arrest. In 2019, he was convicted and sentenced to 17 years in prison. Taylor’s earlier guilty plea was subsequently vacated, formally acknowledging that her original report had been truthful.

The complaint now before the court alleges that law enforcement failures, including a lack of training, oversight and accountability, allowed the wrongful prosecution to occur and placed Taylor and other minor victims at risk.

Brenda Harkavy, a senior attorney at Laffey Bucci D’Andrea Reich & Ryan, in Philadelphia, Pa., and one of the attorneys representing Taylor in her Florida case, said the case reveals what can happen when investigators ignore or disbelieve children who come forward about sexual abuse…..”

    “America First NOW or NEVER!”

Michael T. Flynn LTG USA (RET), Nov 16, 2025

“We The People, must cause our own Trump administration to start focusing on AMERICA FIRST (what he campaigned on) or we are going to find ourselves in a situation similar to what we’re witnessing just over our southern border.

There is only so much corruption that human beings can take. Mexico is rife with it and it emanates from the criminal cartels that run the country and have for many years. And these cartels run freely across America and have for years now (despite the bravery of our local law enforcement professionals).

Inside of America, we have something akin to these cartels and we call them politicians. Too often, too many stay in power too long and they become corrupted.

Mr. POTUS, these massive problems so close to our lives must be addressed. Figure out ways to get out of the wars in Europe and the Middle East and focus on the United States.

China is responsible for killing hundreds of thousands of Americans on the streets of America, yet we allow them to send hundreds of thousands of college-aged (ie, military) students to attend our colleges and universities?

Our national debt is north of $ 35 trillion (and rising).

We have one political party that you yourself, along with your Director of National Intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard, admitted their leader, Barack Obama, committed TREASON against you!!!???

    Need I go on!?

We are in the midst of a war—it is referred to as 5GW. Fifth-generation warfare is warfare that is conducted primarily through non-kinetic military action, such as social engineering, misinformation, cyberattacks, along with emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence and fully autonomous systems.

When you add in severe levels of corruption inside of our political system, humans who take advantage of these tactics (wittingly or unwittingly—sound familiar?), we lose.

However, I know you want to help America WIN! America First NOW or NEVER!”
