Morning All. cloudy here looks like rain, but hubby says there’s only a 50-50 chances of it…sigh.
When we were at walmart Wednesday, the cashier said her well is going dry! we really need rain in this area!

Morning, Pat! Then the rain will start and won’t quit and things will be flooding. If it ain’t one thing, it’s another! LOL – cloudy again this morning here and chilly @ 56. I guess Wheezer likes the food he is getting elsewhere better than the tuna I feed him – I had some tuna mixed with some of his dry food out there for 2 days and he wouldn’t eat it. Next time he shows, I’ll just put out some plain tuna. If he doesn’t eat that, then I won’t need to buy any more tuna! LOL

All cats are different and cats generally have more quirks than dogs. I fed my cat, Spaz (long-haired B&W Tuxedo) a mix of canned & dry food on a regular basis but if I was going to be gone traveling overnight, I would leave a big bowl of dry food for him instead. He would eat that willingly. But if I was home and tried to skip the mixed food, just substituting dry food, he objected and would continue to bug me. If I flat refused to give him mixed food, he would gobble down half the bowl of dry food, then come over and throw it up at my feet. LOL

Just The News: “A gunman opened fire Saturday evening at a country club in Nashua, N.H., wounding multiple victims, police said. Authorities originally said they might be looking for two gunmen, but police afterwards said they had detained a lone shooter.
“Video surveillance has confirmed there was only one shooter and they are currently being detained,” the Nashua Police Department said in a statement. “The scene is still an active investigation, but there is no further danger to the public.”
The incident occurred at Sky Meadow Country Club in Nashua, a community about 45 miles northwest of Boston. Authorities did not immediately provide an update on the condition of the shooting victims.”

Just The News: “Texas has entered into agreements with nine states to strengthen election integrity measures, Texas Secretary of State Jane Nelson announced.
Nelson has signed memorandums of understanding (MOU) with her counterparts in nine states to share voter registration data. They include Alabama, Arkansas, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Ohio, South Carolina, Virginia and West Virginia.
The purpose of doing so is to strengthen efforts to prevent duplicate registrations, Nelson said. The MOUs “establish a secure and cooperative process for comparing voter registration records, providing a critical tool to detect and prevent potential voter fraud,” she said. “These agreements are a significant step in our ongoing commitment to maintain accurate voter registration lists and upholding the integrity of our elections. By working together, we are demonstrating how states can responsibly share information while protecting voter data.”
This is in addition to Nelson’s office employing multiple data sources to maintain clean voter rolls, including accessing information from federal and state agencies like the Social Security Administration and the Bureau of Vital Statistics, she said.
“State-to-state agreements provide an additional tool to identify duplicate voter registrations, detect instances of voting in more than one jurisdiction, and ensure voter databases remain up to date,” the SOS explained.
The MOUs outline how the states will securely exchange voter registration data while also adhering to strict confidentiality and cybersecurity protocols. Any duplicate registrations or potential voter fraud would be shared with appropriate authorities for further investigation, the Texas SOS said.
The MOUs serve as a model for future partnerships as Texas plans to establish similar agreements with additional states, Nelson said. The nine MOUs “will further enhance election security by allowing states to work together to identify cross-state duplicate registrations and prevent voting in multiple jurisdictions,” she said.
“Texans expect fair and transparent elections,” Nelson added. “These agreements provide an effective framework for safeguarding our voter rolls, and we look forward to expanding this initiative with other states in the near future.”
The news comes after the Texas SOS launched a new election security grant program to strengthen election integrity in all 254 counties earlier this year, The Center Square reported. Grants are available to help counties comply with paper audit trail requirements, replace decertified electronic pollbooks, ensure video surveillance systems comply with ballot security measures, implement measures to protect election equipment and supplies, and make IT services upgrades.
It also comes after the Texas SOS referred the first batch of 33 potential noncitizens to the Office of Attorney General to investigate alleged voter fraud. The referral was made after the SOS was given access to a federal database to check its voter rolls to determine if any illegal foreign nationals registered to vote or voted, The Center Square reported.
Last year, Texas removed 6,500 noncitizens from its voter rolls but requested information on them and others from the federal government, which it didn’t receive, The Center Square reported. This included a list of 454,289 registered voters in Texas “who have never had their citizenship verified.” Access to information changed under the Trump administration.
Earlier this year, the Texas legislature passed a resolution, SJR 37, to put a constitutional amendment on the ballot for voters to approve or reject, clarifying that only U.S. citizens can vote in Texas. This November, voters will decide on 17 constitutional amendments on the ballot, The Center Square reported.”

Just The News: “Cardinal Timothy Dolan of New York described conservative commentator and activist Charlie Kirk as a “modern-day Saint Paul” and “fearless missionary.” Dolan said he spent a week delving into Kirk’s background, calling him a “passionate evangelist,” and a “true hero.”
Kirk was shot and killed on September 10 at a college campus in Utah during a Turning Point USA event.
“When I first heard the news, I found myself wondering who he truly was,” Dolan said on Fox News. “That reflection led to an overwhelming sense of sorrow—and, paradoxically, renewal. I felt compelled to learn more, and as I did, I saw in him the spirit of a modern-day Saint Paul.”
Dolan lauded Kirk’s commitment to debating controversial societal issues.
“Kirk understands the essence of Jesus’ words: ‘The truth will set you free,’” Dolan said. “He may be blunt at times, and unafraid of confrontation, but there’s an underlying respect in how he handles these challenges. It’s a style that I believe truly reflects a saintly commitment to truth and to the mission of evangelism.”

there is a lot of discussion about the bullet that killed him. there is a talk that the bullet ( a 30.06) was stopped by the bone in Charlie’s neck–that’s why there’s no exit wound and why there was no one else killed.
then you have those who are skeptical of that, saying a 30.06 goes through everything and it definitely would NOT be stopped by bone.
not sure what i believe at this point.
if it was stopped, it should have been recovered in the autopsy and compared to the gun retrieved.

IDT there’s really any way to know except to see the x-ray and see if the bone was damaged in any way.

“Report: Attempted Kavanaugh killer from 2022 identifies as a woman, discussed assassination attempt on Discord”
Not The Bee, Harris Rigby, Sep 20, 2025
ENTIRE ARTICLE: “How’s this for an update? Remember the pro-abort young man upset about gun control who was caught in an assassination plot against Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh? Well, there’s a little bit more to the story.
Well, would you look at that? Another mentally unstable trans person attempting to perpetrate a murder plot against conservatives. How surprising. The DoJ is even calling him “Ms. Roske” despite being, you know, Mr. Roske.
In 2022 it was reported by Townhall and The Blaze that he was a “trans gamer girl” in online video game play, the pronoun issue further shows that the would-be killer wasn’t just confining his gender confusion to online games.
The other kicker? Like the Kirk killer, this young man also plotted his attempted assassination on the popular gamer app Discord.
The similarities between these two events is eye-opening to say the least. Discord seems to have questions to answer. More importantly, I’m thinking the trans violence issue needs to be addressed full on.”

“Fordham University graduate reunited with class ring 56 years after losing it”
Not The Bee, Harriet Rigby, Sep 20, 2025
ENTIRE ARTICLE: “Shortly after graduating from Fordham University in 1969, Dr. Al DiStefano lost his class ring while standing on a dock off the Long Island Sound. He vaguely recalls watching the ring sink beneath the murky water, where it remained for more than half a century. DiStefano told the New York Post,
DiStefano moved away from New York, where he later became an oncologist, practicing medicine for more than 40 years before retiring in Arlington, Texas.
But his ring didn’t move far at all. It was unearthed just half a mile from the spot DiStefano lost it in 1969 by a hobby metal detectorist, an electrician named Dave Orlowski. The ring was in great shape, with the name of the university and class year clearly visible, and inside was inscribed DiStefano’s name.
Al DiStefano
Orlowski initially planned to keep or sell the ring, but his wife convinced him otherwise. He explained,
Orlowski was able to track down the ring’s owner through a class of 1969 reunion page on Facebook and was soon put in contact with DiStefano. DiStefano told the New York Post,
He has a lot of time to make up for, but thanks to Orlowski (well, actually, his wife), DiStefano was reunited with a little piece of his history that he thought was long gone.”

Just The News: “President Donald Trump has arrived at the memorial service honoring Charlie Kirk, the 31-year-old conservative youth activist who was assassinated during an event at a Utah college, on Sunday at State Farm Stadium in Glendale.
Almost all members of the cabinet were present at the event to honor Kirk, including Attorney General Pam Bondi, Education Secretary Linda McMahon and Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth. Trump has ordered the renaming of DoD to the Department of War, but Congress has not adopted the term yet.
Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk, the former head of the Department of Government Efficiency, was also spotted at the member along with GOP members of the House and Senate.
Kirk’s widow, Erika Kirk, will be taking over as CEO of the organization her husband co-founded, Turning Point USA (TPUSA). Organizers said they are expecting about 100,000 people to attend the event at the arena, which is home to the Arizona Cardinals football team. Grammy Award-winning recording artist Taylor Swift kicked off her Eras tour at the same venue.
The U.S. Secret Service led a heavy security operation for the event, with some comparing it to Super Bowl-level protection.
On Saturday, an armed man was arrested at the venue after reportedly claiming he was law enforcement. Later, TPUSA said the man was part of a private advance security team for a known guest.”

EXCERPT: “………The bullet absolutely should have gone through,” the doctor reportedly said. “This would have taken a moose or two down, an elk, etc.” It was a high-powered, high-velocity round—designed to tear through flesh and bone.
But it didn’t. Charlie’s body absorbed the full force of the shot.
Behind him, Kolvet said, were dozens of staff, students, and guests. The doctor acknowledged that had the round passed through—as it normally would—others almost certainly would have been killed.
“It was an absolute miracle that someone else didn’t get killed,” he said.
What stopped the bullet? The doctor pointed to Charlie’s bone density, calling it “so healthy, so impressive,” he likened Kirk to “the man of steel.” The bullet, despite its deadly power, was found lodged just beneath the skin……”

this is what we discussed above. perhaps they are saving the details of the bullet for the trial. but if it’s in Charlie’s body, then forensics should have it and it should absolutely match the gun.
