Statistically, that makes it likely to hit Texas or Louisiana. Texas doesn’t need another weather disaster after all the flooding.

Good morning, Pat! Clouds on the horizon and humid; temp is at 70. The hummers were buzzing around the honeysuckle yesterday while I was clearing out the south garden bed. Wheezer was waiting this morning. Rain is predicted to move in later in the afternoon, then much cooler until the end of next week.
The CA Poppies get long, woody roots on them after a few years and get totally out of control so I think I’ll start clearing them out in the fall every couple of years. They spread their seeds everywhere around the beds and start taking over.

Oh, my! Fox just announced that the FBI raided John Bolton’s home at 7 AM this morning, looking for classified docs as part of a leak investigation.

Just The News: “FBI agents early Friday raided the home of former National Security Advisor John Bolton as part of an investigation into a national security matter, U.S. officials told Just the News.
FBI Director Kash Patel hinted at the action in a cryptic post on his X social media account.
“NO ONE is above the law… @FBI agents on mission,” Patel wrote.
Officials said the search of Bolton’s home involved a national security case that began under the Biden administration, but wasn’t aggressively pursued until Patel took over earlier this year. They declined to be more specific.
Bolton was one of several national security advisors for Trump, but was eventually fired and became a critic of the current president.”

Just The News: “Florida Lt. Gov. Jay Collins on Thursday night landed in Tallahassee with illegal migrant and truck driver Harjinder Singh, who was allegedly responsible for a fatal crash that killed three people in Florida earlier this month.
Singh allegedly attempted to make a U-turn in an unauthorized area with a commercial semi-truck with a trailer on the Florida Turnpike on Aug. 12, but the trailer jackknifed and a minivan ran into it, killing all three of the minivan’s passengers.
The suspect was arrested in California last week and booked into the San Joaquin County Jail to await an initial court appearance, but he was extradited back to Florida on Thursday to face three counts of vehicular homicide.
Florida GOP Gov. Ron DeSantis said the state plans to “throw the book” at Singh, per CBS News.
Singh, an Indian national, entered the U.S. illegally in 2018 and obtained a commercial truck license from California in 2021. Secretary of State Marco Rubio on Thursday announced that the U.S. is halting all issuance of work visas for commercial truck drivers after the incident.”

EXCERPT: “Federal prosecutors gathered evidence from James Comey’s top lieutenants that he authorized the leak of classified information to reporters just before the 2016 election but declined to bring criminal charges, according to recently declassified memos that call into question the former FBI director’s testimony to Congress.
The bombshell revelations involving ex-FBI general counsel James Baker and ex-Comey chief of staff James Rybicki were memorialized in documents that FBI Director Kash Patel discovered earlier this year, but the passages were originally redacted by the Justice Department in versions sent to Congress earlier this month.
Attorney General Pam Bondi intervened and eliminated the redactions, dispatching new versions of the memos this week to the House and Senate Judiciary committees, officials told Just the News.
The memos detail evidence and interviews gathered by U.S. Postal Inspection Service agents concerning classified information leaked to The New York Times in October 2016, ahead of the November election in which Republican Donald Trump defeated Democrat Hillary Clinton.
“The USPIS Investigation also revealed Baker disclosed USG [U.S. government] classified information to the NYT under the belief he was ultimately instructed and authorized to do so by then FBI Director James Comey,” one summary memo reads. “For example, during interviews, Baker indicated FBI Chief of Staff James Rybicki instructed him (Baker) to disclose the information to the NYT, and Baker understood Rybicki was conveying this instruction and authorization from Comey.”
The memos don’t identify the specific pieces of classified information that were leaked or whether Comey or anyone else was authorized to declassify them for the media. But they were investigated by multiple prosecutors, including the U.S. attorney’s office in Washington, D.C., under Trump’s first administration and by future-special prosecutor John Durham, and all declined to bring criminal charges, the memos show.
Bondi told Just the News on Thursday she was committed to bringing accountability for the yet unpunished leaks.
“This document produced at my direction confirms what many Americans have long suspected: former FBI Director James Comey and his chief of staff engaged in abhorrent conduct,” she said. “There must be accountability for those who were entrusted with safeguarding our nation’s secrets and failed to do so.”
Comey previously denied during congressional testimony that he had ever been a source in news articles related to the FBI’s investigations into Trump and Clinton and further denied that he had ever approved of anyone else at the FBI being such a source. He has long denied any wrongdoing and insisted he has been politically attacked because he stood up to Trump.
Patel told Just the News the evidence he uncovered raised concerns that one of his predecessors may have authorized illegal leaks and lied about it.
“These newly declassified memos show how former FBI leadership authorized classified leaks and withheld the truth from Congress and the American people,” he said. “Thanks to President Trump’s commitment to transparency, the cover-up is being exposed. The public deserves nothing less than full accountability.”
You can read the declassified FBI memos here:
Declassified FBI Memos – Tropic Vortex Investigation – Baker, Rybicki, and Comey
A recent barrage of declassified documents showing Comey and current Sen. Adam Schiff, D-Calif., may have been behind national security leaks over the last decade designed to harm Trump may prove more than just an exercise in historical accountability…..”

Just The News: “Former FBI agent and Navy SEAL Jonathan Gilliam says prosecutors may be able to build a criminal subversion or racketeering case against government officials who carried out the Russiagate scandal. “I think also what we have to start looking at is things like subversion,” Gilliam said on the “Just the News, No Noise” TV show. “You know, subversion, like treason and insurrection…these are all criminal actions that there’s law for.”
Just the News reported Thursday that newly declassified memos show federal prosecutors gathered evidence from James Comey’s top lieutenants that the former director authorized the leak of classified information to reporters just before the 2016 election, but they declined to bring criminal charges.
“When you look at those types of crimes…okay, maybe they leaked this information, but was their motive and intent to subvert the government of the United States, or a standing president, or a president that was coming into office?” Gilliam said. “If that’s the case, then the statute of limitations goes out the door.”
Subversion is defined in federal statutes as activities aimed at undermining a government or political system.
Gilliam said he thought it was important for the FBI to also consider a racketeering case that multiple government officials conspired together to abuse intelligence and law enforcement powers.
“I believe it’s important for them to go forward on a RICO case, because they link all of these individuals, and they can show whether the statute of limitations for those particular crimes have gone,” Gilliam said. “Let’s say they’ve passed, but they can show that two or more people were involved in these crimes for the purpose of furthering their criminal enterprise. That’s a RICO charge.”
Congressman Tim Burchett, R-Tenn., said the new developments about Comey have “overwhelming significance.”
“I have to talk to an attorney about what the definition of treason is, but at the very least it’s collusion,” Burchett said on the “Just the News, No Noise” TV show. “I think a felony was committed. I think that the cover-up is, in this case, maybe even worse than the crime, because you got to ask yourself, whatever, what else were they covering up?”

Just The News: “The Supreme Court on Thursday ruled that the Trump administration can slash $783 million in grants for health research with the National Institutes of Health (NIH), reversing a lower court ruling on the matter. The court was split 5-4 in the ruling, with Chief Justice John Roberts siding with the court’s three liberal justices, per the Associated Press.
The NIH began canceling grants in March that it claimed were spent on projects like studies on transgender healthcare, vaccine hesitancy, and diversity research, arguing the grants no longer aligned with the agency’s priorities under President Donald Trump.
U.S. District Judge William Young ruled in June that the funding cuts, which were part of the Trump administration’s efforts to defund diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) policies, were racially discriminatory. “I’ve never seen government racial discrimination like this,” Young said in a hearing at the time.
The Supreme Court ruling is the latest legal victory for the Trump administration. The Supreme Court also recently allowed the administration to move forward with its mass layoffs, determining that the government was likely to succeed in its arguments.”

Just The News: “The independent Pew Research Center on Thursday revealed that the United States immigrant population is now in decline for the first time in over 50 years, as the Trump administration cracks down on illegal immigration.
A separate study found that the total foreign-born population in the U.S. dropped by 2.2 million from January to July, which included 1.6 million illegal migrants. The Department of Homeland Security has also confirmed that 1.6 million illegal migrants have voluntarily left the country since January.
The Pew Research Center found 51.9 million immigrants remain in the United States as of June, which is down from 53.3 million when President Donald Trump was inaugurated. The proportion of immigrants in the U.S. is still at 15.4% of the total U.S. population. The study also noted that 19% of the U.S. labor force were immigrants as of June, down from 20% in January.
The United States saw a similar mass exodus during the Great Depression in the 1930s, during which an estimated 400,000 to 1 million Mexicans and Mexican-Americans left the country.”

Just The News: “A federal judge on Thursday ruled that former President Donald Trump attorney Alina Habba has been unlawfully serving as the United States attorney for New Jersey since her 120-day term ended without her being confirmed by the Senate.
New Jersey’s 17 U.S. District Court judges chose to replace Habba as the interim attorney last month after the term expired without her confirmation, but the Trump administration used unconventional tactics to keep her in the role by firing her replacement. U.S. District Judge Matthew Brann determined that those tactics were not “lawful,” but placed his ruling on hold pending an appeal.
“Faced with the question of whether Ms. Habba is lawfully performing the functions and duties of the office of the United States Attorney for the District of New Jersey, I conclude that she is not,” Brann wrote in a 77-page ruling.
Brann’s decision is in response to a request on behalf of two New Jersey defendants who faced a trial on federal drug-trafficking charges.
The judge previously promised to rule on Habba’s legal authority after a defendant asked for his case to be dismissed because of questions regarding Habba’s position. He declined to dismiss the case because the charges were filed before she took office.”

“Fulton County Defies Court Orders Requiring Confirmation Of GOP Election Board Nominees — Fulton County is once again defying a court order in its determination to block two Republicans from taking seats on the elections board.”
The Federalist, By: Mark Davis, August 22, 2025
ENTIRE ARTICLE: “The Democrat-led Fulton County Board of Commissioners is once again defying a court order in its determination to block two Republicans from taking their seats on the county’s elections board. The Republican Party of Fulton County nominated Julie Adams and Jason Frazier to serve on the elections board in May. Despite state law requiring that the county commissioners “shall” accept the appointments, they had previously refused to do so, criticizing Adams and Frazier for their election integrity efforts.
Even after the Fulton County Republican Party filed suit in June, and the court found in their favor early in August, the commissioners still refused to comply. Last Wednesday, the board of commissioners filed a motion asking the court to reconsider. Two days later, Fulton County Superior Court Judge David Emerson once again ordered them to confirm Adams and Frazier at the board’s “next regularly scheduled meeting,” describing their actions as a “bad faith” stall tactic. “The court directs the defendant board to comply with its order,” Emerson wrote.
The board of commissioners even filed an emergency motion with the Georgia Supreme Court, which was transferred to the Georgia Court of Appeals and quickly denied.
But even that did not stop them from behaving like petulant children who aren’t getting their way. In a 2-2 vote on Tuesday, with three members absent by the time the vote happened, the board of commissioners failed to pass Republican Commissioner Bridget Thorne’s motion to confirm the appointees. (You can watch the relevant portion of the meeting here, or read an AI-generated transcript here.)
Thorne argued that the unlawful delay caused “irreparable harm,” and noted an upcoming special election for a state senate seat. It’s a point that Fulton County GOP Chair Stephanie Endres has also emphasized. “There are elections happening right now and our representation is being denied,” Endres told me.
In response to Thorne’s motion, Democrat Commissioner Dana Barrett insisted “no judge” could “compel” her to approve the nominations, minutes before claiming to “respect the rule of law.” She told the activists at Democracy Docket she was willing to “risk contempt charges and fines or jail.”
Her fellow Democrat Commissioner Mo Ivory chimed in, saying “No one should force an elected official or any voter to cast a particular vote.” Ironically, Democrats’ complaint about Adams is her decision not to certify the results of a primary election.
Following Wednesday’s vote, Jason Frazier told me he was “disappointed by the decisions of the Democrat board members,” and that his “only goal is to help Fulton County follow election laws and run clean elections.”
Julie Adams said simply, “The Fulton [Board of Commissioners] was ordered to comply with the order of the court on Friday or risk being held in contempt. Today, they defied that order.”
The Fulton County GOP filed a motion on Thursday asking the court to hold the commissioners in both “civil and criminal contempt.” Georgia statute allows local officials to be charged with a misdemeanor for “deliberate means to delay or avoid the due course or proceeding of law,” punishable by removal from office, among other penalties.
Over the last few years we’ve all heard Democrats repeat their favorite mantra: “No one is above the law.” We’ll see if that’s true for the Democrats on the Fulton County Board of Commissioners.”

“Paxton To Abortion Pill Black Market: Texas Will Not Tolerate Illegal Trafficking Of Fatal Drugs”
By: Jordan Boyd, August 21, 2025
EXCERPT: “Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton hit abortion pill dealers accused of promoting and mailing abortion drugs to Lone Star State residents with cease and desist orders last week for their apparent violation of state and federal laws.
The letters single out the abortion dealers Plan C and Her Safe Harbor, as well as an “affiliate” of Aid Access named Remy Coeytaux for “promoting, selling, or facilitating the shipment” of the drug regimen responsible for most of the nation’s abortions, which is largely confirmed by the organizations themselves and by corporate media. The letters were apparently sent Aug. 14 but announced in a press release from Paxton’s office on Wednesday.
Paxton not only commanded the parties to “immediately cease” such activity in the state, but also noted failure to do so could result in “further legal action, lawsuits seeking injunctive relief, and civil penalties of no less than $100,000 per violation under Texas law.”
“Texas will not tolerate the murdering of innocent life through illegal drug trafficking,” Paxton confirmed. “These abortion drug organizations and radical activists are not above the law, and I have ordered the immediate end of this unlawful conduct. This is a flagrant violation of both state and federal laws, and we are going to do everything in our power to protect mothers and unborn babies.”
Paxton’s orders are part of the larger effort to preserve Texas’ pro-life status and punish offenders who flout the state’s prohibition on abortion of any kind beyond six weeks gestation. In the press release accompanying the cease and desist letters, Paxton noted that he decided to take legal action after “two tragic cases in Texas in which radical abortion activists and organizations facilitated men illegally purchasing abortion-inducing drugs.”
“Organizations like Plan C and Her Safe Harbor advertise abortion pills by mail and promise delivery to Texas within days, likely in violation of both the federal Comstock Act and multiple provisions of Texas law, including the Human Life Protection Act,” Paxton warned…..”

“Hulk Hogan bombshell as cops investigate claim catastrophic medical error led to his death
By ISABEL BALDWIN, US ASSISTANT SPORTS EDITOR
Published: 13:16 EDT, 21 August 2025 | Updated: 16:26 EDT, 21 August 2025
EXCERPT: “Hulk Hogan may have been the victim of medical malpractice at the time of his death, a new bombshell report claims. The WWE legend – whose real name is Terry Bollea – died at the age of 71 on July 24. It was initially ruled that he had suffered cardiac arrest at his home in Clearwater, Florida before passing away at a local hospital.
However, almost a month on from his passing, doubt has been cast over his cause of death with it now being shockingly suggested that medical malpractice may have cost him his life. An occupational therapist is said to have been present at the wrestling icon’s Florida home when he stopped breathing, who raised concerns over Hogan’s condition.
Law enforcement sources reportedly told TMZ that the therapist claimed to officers responding to the 911 call at Hogan’s home that the late wrestler was the victim of medical malpractice. The therapist, who was not named, allegedly told officers that during a recent medical procedure the surgeon ‘severed’ Hogan’s phrenic nerve.
The phrenic nerve is crucial for a person’s breathing, controlling the diaphragm – the muscle that supports inhalation and exhalation. Phrenic nerve damage can lead to diaphragm paralysis, causing difficulty breathing.
Hogan’s wife Sky Daily, whom he married in 2023, reportedly raised the alarm when he stopped breathing, prompting the 911 call to emergency services. Police at the scene are said to have discussed the revelation from the therapist with their conversations caught on body camera footage, TMZ reports.
A month before his death, a source revealed to DailyMail.com that Hogan – who was embroiled in a shocking family feud with his ex-wife Linda and estranged daughter Brooke earlier this year – was trying to work his way back to ‘100 percent’ after neck and back operations. It is unclear which surgery the therapist was referring to.
‘Hulk has a body ravaged by wrestling, his body is the body of a 140-year-old man with all the bumps and bruises through the years, and his recent neck and back surgeries have been harder to come back from,’ a source close to Hogan said. His wife Sky had denied rumors he was on his deathbed in a coma – and claimed his heart was ‘strong’ after he underwent a routine neck surgery. Hogan had also previously opened up about undergoing ’25 surgeries in the past decade.’
The news of the therapists bombshell claim comes just one day after Hogan’s estranged daughter Brooke demanded to see police body cam footage from the day of the WWE icon’s death…..”

Well, as usual, I got sidetracked….again….I went out to rake up the dead stickers from the driveway – those suckers WILL come back! – as well as years worth of dead grass that was blown onto the driveway. Then I noticed the old chair, ladder and Uncle Sam statue that I used to have in the display in front that all needed to go to the dump. Jason was supposed to do that for me and, of course, he never did!!! It was sitting in front next to the garage door.
I got the bright idea of breaking them down to just pieces of wood so I could just take them with the yard waste – as long as it will burn and it’s in amongst the weeds/grass, it should be ok. I got the chair all broken up and most of the spindles off of the ladder but there were 2 that were too stubborn to get out. And I got all of the various pieces off of the Uncle Sam, leaving just the pedestal that will have to wait until I take a truckload to the transfer center. I’ll need Gage’s help for that – some of that is too heavy for me to lift into the truck by myself.
But it’s not in front of my house anymore and it looks soooo much neater there now. It was starting to sprinkle as I was finishing up and I need to run to the FD real quick for some Cheerios before it starts in earnest.

“Understanding the Mechanics Behind Gavin Newsom’s Public Strategy”
Michael T. Flynn LTG USA (RET), Aug 22, 2025
ENTIRE ARTICLE: “Governor Gavin Newsom’s recent public maneuvers have sparked widespread discussion, with many characterizing his actions as erratic or attention-grabbing. Yet a closer examination reveals a calculated, misguided strategy rooted in a fundamental misreading of what drives political resonance in today’s polarized landscape.
Newsom’s approach, which often mirrors the bold theatrics associated with President Donald Trump’s “MAGA” movement, underscores a broader misunderstanding among progressive leaders about the authenticity required of enduring public appeal.
At the heart of Newsom’s strategy is the assumption that Trump’s success stems primarily from provocative rhetoric and high-profile gestures. This perspective has led the California governor to adopt a style marked by dramatic public acts, such as orchestrating an aircraft to fly a rainbow banner over a high school football game or mocking President Trump on social media.
These moves, designed to capture headlines and energize his base, reflect a focus on spectacle over substance, a tactic that, while effective in generating short-term buzz, often fails to foster lasting connections with a broader electorate.
Political analysts point to a historical parallel in the rise of conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh. When Limbaugh gained prominence in the 1980s and 1990s, his influence was not solely the product of his brash delivery or humor but his ability to combine those qualities with a clear, consistent commitment to his principles.
Competitors on the left, misunderstanding this, attempted to replicate his style without embracing the underlying authenticity, resulting in short-lived imitations that failed to resonate. Similarly, Newsom’s efforts to emulate Trump’s boldness appear to miss the mark by prioritizing performative displays over coherent messaging or genuine engagement.
Newsom’s actions aren’t random; they’re deliberate attempts to capture the kind of energy Trump generates. He overlooks that Trump’s appeal is rooted in a perceived authenticity and clarity of purpose, not just theatrics.
Recent examples illustrate this pattern. The rainbow banner stunt, widely covered by local media, was intended to signal progressive values but sparked backlash among some communities for its perceived divisiveness. Likewise, Newsom’s fluctuating rhetoric on public health measures has drawn criticism for prioritizing political optics over practical governance. These moves may rally his core supporters, but they often alienate moderates and fail to articulate a cohesive vision for California’s future.
This focus on appearance over substance highlights a critical lesson for political leaders: style alone cannot sustain influence. Authentic leadership, as demonstrated by figures who maintain long-term public trust, requires clarity, consistency, and a commitment to addressing constituents’ core concerns. Newsom’s misinterpretation of Trump’s appeal, mistaking boldness for authenticity, underscores the pitfalls of prioritizing short-term attention over meaningful engagement.
As California navigates complex challenges, observers argue that Newsom’s leadership would benefit from a shift toward substance-driven governance. Voters want leaders who address real problems with clear solutions, not just flashy gestures.”

Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche conducted the interview last month at a prison in Florida where Maxwell was serving a 20-year sentence for child sex trafficking and related offenses. She was later transferred to a woman’s prison in Texas.
“In the interest of transparency, the [Justice Department] is releasing the complete transcript and audio of my proffer of Ms. Maxwell,” Blanche posted on X. “The audio is divided into segments to reflect breaks during the interview. Some segments are shorter than others. Shorter segments are a result of audio tests and size limitations per recorded session. Except for the names of victims, every word is included. Nothing removed. Nothing hidden.”
The release comes the same day that the Justice Department delivered its first trove of files related to Epstein, to Congress.

“Connecticut Democratic Party Holds Press Conference To Cry About LoTT”
Libs of TikTok, Aug 22, 2025
“As ICE ramps up its immigration operations across the country, Democrats are continuing in their unhinged opposition to carrying out the rule of law.
Most recently, Libs of TikTok reported on a Democrat Connecticut State Representative by the name of Corey Paris, who we exposed for appearing to dox the live locations of ICE on Instagram while warning illegal aliens to stay “vigilant.”
Following our report, ICE referred Corey Paris to the DOJ for prosecution.
Under federal law, impeding or interfering with immigration enforcement is a crime. Surely you would think that elected representatives would be in FAVOR of upholding US law and protecting federal agents, right? NOPE.
After our report went viral, Connecticut Democrats held a press conference to voice their SUPPORT for Rep. Paris’ actions and to COMPLAIN about Libs of TikTok for exposing their colleague.
U.S. Senator Richard Blumenthal was one of the Democrats who had an absolute meltdown, calling ICE a “totalitarian agency out of control” because they reposted our viral report.
Yet, Senator Blumenthal wasn’t the only Democrat having a meltdown. Connecticut State Rep. Eleni Kavros (D) also whined and complained about Libs of TikTok, claiming that we only targeted Rep. Paris because he’s “a black man in this country.”
The story doesn’t stop there, though…The New York Times decided to reach out to us for comment on our post exposing State Rep. Corey Paris. We, of course, responded, blasting them for not covering the many victims of violent illegal alien crime in Connecticut.
However, once their article was published, it was revealed that they LIED and claimed that we did not return a comment.
While both the fake news media and far-left Democrats attack and defame me for exposing them, brave immigration officers across the country continue to enforce the laws of the nation and deport violent alien criminals. Their efforts to expose ICE agents’ locations will put American citizens in danger.
If Democrats want to break the law and interfere with ICE operations and protect illegal aliens, we will expose them EVERY – SINGLE – TIME. WE STAND WITH ICE.
Have a great weekend and see you next week!” -LoTT Team
