Good morning, Pat! Cloudy, humid, and 74 here – no sun to be seen. THIS is a recipe I can get behind and actually try! Easiest one I’ve seen yet! The tuna was what Wheezer was waiting for, apparently! He chows that down fast!!! ‘Course, I’ve never known a cat that didn’t so…..it’s always a safe bet!
Why does it seem that everything goes to shit at the same time? I’m going to have to do something about either replacing or refurbishing this computer very soon….several times in the last few days, I’ve gotten the proverbial “your computer had a problem and had to shut down” message….sigh….and the recovery is getting slower and slower. What IS it about Murphy’s Law? Can you please leave me alone???? Go AWAY, Murphy!!! LOL

U.S. Judiciary confirms breach of court electronic records service
August 8, 2025
https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/news/security/us-judiciary-confirms-breach-of-court-electronic-records-service/
The U.S. Federal Judiciary confirms that it suffered a cyberattack on its electronic case management systems hosting confidential court documents and is strengthening cybersecurity measures.
The organization stated that, while most documents in the system are public, certain sealed filings contain sensitive information that is now protected with stricter access controls aimed at blocking hackers.
This statement came in response to a Politico report earlier this week that claimed a breach had occurred on the U.S. Court system’s case management system, exposing sensitive information, including the identities of confidential informants.
Politico stated that the breach impacted multiple federal districts, affecting CM/ECF and PACER directly, which is the backbone of federal court document management.
According to anonymous sources providing this information, the Judiciary became aware of the full severity of the incident on July 4, 2025, and a related briefing followed without making any public announcements about it.

EXCERPT: “When Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. shifted nearly $500 million designated for mRNA vaccine development to “safer, broader vaccine platforms that remain effective even as viruses mutate,” predictable wailing followed from the public health establishment and mainstream media but also some old-guard conservatives.
National Review editors praised COVID-19 vaccines for their belatedly alleged protections against severe outcomes, citing President Biden’s Centers for Disease Control and Prevention for the claim they reduced hospitalization and death by 70% among those vaccinated, even as the editors acknowledged the virus naturally became “less severe over time.”
The publication’s intern even called COVID vaccines, whose inability to stop infection and transmission was known to then-CDC Director Rochelle Walensky a month after emergency use authorization, “the most phenomenal medical breakthrough of the 21st century.”
Yet peer-reviewed global research keeps identifying severe adverse events following mRNA vaccination in some groups at low risk from COVID, and a German-led paper in the official journal of the International Union of Immunological Societies offers a causal explanation.
“Our findings reveal that numerous off-target products are produced by mRNA-based corona vaccines following translation of the encoded spike monomers,” said researchers affiliated with institutes on physiology, medical informatics, pharmacology and “Molecular and Translational Therapeutic Strategies” in Germany and Hungary.
“These off-target products may be responsible for both acute vaccination reactions and long-term side effects,” says their Frontiers in Immunology abstract for the paper, accepted July 22, whose “final, formatted version” will be published “soon.”
The research is making small waves on X in several languages. “BOMBSHELL STUDY,” proclaimed Utah doctor Kirk Moore, who faced 35 years in prison on charges of throwing away COVID vaccine doses and distributing fraudulent vaccination record cards. Attorney General Pam Bondi dropped Moore’s case, initiated by the Biden administration, shortly after the trial started last month, preempting his jury-nullification plan to obtain hidden records allegedly showing the neat overlap between COVID vaccination and deaths.
Kennedy’s mRNA funding redirect is the “first real policy course correction in a vaccine ecosystem that had drifted from science into speculative biotech fantasy,” said former Ecohealth Alliance Vice President Andrew Huff, whose nonprofit passed U.S. taxpayer money to the Wuhan Institute of Virology and claims the lab “developed” SARS-CoV-2.
Huff laid out several recommendations for what should replace the mRNA pursuit, namely vaccine development that induces “broad, long-lasting immunity” across virus families and stops transition “at the point of entry – especially the respiratory mucosa.”
‘Sticky spike clumps’ following vaccination ‘trapped inside’ heart cells
The Frontiers paper follows preprint research, not yet peer-reviewed, by top advisers to President Trump’s CDC and Food and Drug Administration that found higher-than-expected pregnancy losses following early mRNA vaccination based on analysis of Israeli medical records three years before and after SARS-CoV-2 emerged in China.
Published last month in the peer-reviewed journal Cancers, Japanese researchers also found as little as two mRNA primary shots and a booster “associated with poorer overall survival” in patients with pancreatic cancer, after probing why survival rates in their hospital fell in 2022 and 2023 after years of steady increases.
Before joining the Trump administration, FDA Commissioner Marty Makary and his recently departed top vaccine regulator, Vinay Prasad, coauthored a Journal of Medical Ethics paper that estimated for every one hospitalization prevented by COVID boosters in “previously uninfected” 18-29 year-olds, 18-98 of them will suffer serious adverse events…..”

Just The News: “President Donald Trump on Friday told the leaders of Azerbaijan and Armenia that it would be a “great honor” to receive the Nobel Peace Prize for his recent diplomatic successes, after Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev called for the president to receive it.
Multiple countries have nominated Trump for the monumental award this year for his role in securing historic trade and peace agreements. Trump has also helped achieve peace between India and Pakistan, Israel and Iran, the Democratic Republic of Congo and Rwanda, Serbia and Kosovo and helped avert a war between Cambodia and Thailand.
“Who, if not President Trump, deserves the Nobel Peace Prize?” Aliyev said during a press briefing on the signing of the peace agreement with Armenia. “Award President Trump with the Nobel Peace Prize … This is a tangible result of President Trump’s leadership and no one could’ve achieved that.”
Trump appeared flattered at the talks of another nomination but said that he was not “politicking” with the Nobel prize in mind. “I would never volunteer. I’m not doing it for that,” Trump said. “I’m doing it because I really, number one, I want to save lives, [that’s the reason we are] involved so much with Ukraine and Russia.”
Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan also said he believes Trump deserves the peace prize and promised to campaign for the U.S. president to receive it. “Today’s event I think is a very bright expression of that,” Pashinyan said. “Today, we have reached a significant milestone … We are laying a foundation to write a better story than the one we had in the past. This breakthrough would simply not have been possible without [Trump’s] personal engagement.”
The peace deal includes the creation of a passage through one of Armenia’s territories that will be named the “Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity.” The White House told reporters that Armenia suggested the name.”

The decision from the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit reverses a decision by U.S. District Judge James Boasberg, who argued that probable cause was present for the administration to be held in criminal contempt, according to The Associated Press.
Boasberg alleged that the Trump administration used the Alien Enemies Act to get illegal migrants out of the country before their removal could be challenged in court. The administration denied the allegation.”

Just The News: “In light of President Donald Trump signing an executive order that effectively bans politically-driven debanking, a Kentucky lawmaker plans to introduce legislation codifying fair access to banking for all Americans.
Trump’s recent EO forbids federal banking regulators such as the Small Business Administration from using “reputation risk” when regulating or assessing financial institutions such as private banks, as The Center Square reported.
The administration believes the practice can and has led to financial institutions closing or restricting the accounts of clients – as well as refusing services to new clients – based on individuals’ controversial but constitutionally protected viewpoints or actions.
Rep. Andy Barr, R-Ky., promised Friday to introduce legislation that would cement Trump’s order into law. “From Operation Chokepoint under the Obama-Biden administration to recent examples of religious groups, firearms manufacturers, and even energy companies being debanked, the American people have had enough of woke discrimination from Wall Street and weaponized regulators,” Barr said. “President Trump’s bold executive action is a major step forward – and now we’re going to make sure it becomes law.”
In 2013, the U.S. Department of Justice designated financial institutions that did business with firearm dealers and payday lenders as “high risk.” Republicans called the operation illegal, saying it incentivized lenders to deny services to conservative clients.
“Banks should be assessing legitimate financial risk – not the political views of hardworking and lawful individuals or businesses,” House Majority Leader Steve Scalise, R-La., said Friday. “I’m grateful to Congressman Andy Barr for leading the effort to codify the President’s Executive Order in the House and fighting to ensure every American gets a fair shake at the bank regardless of their political views.”
Barr’s bill will also echo Trump’s EO by requiring SBA to inform and reinstate victims of unlawful debanking actions. Firearm manufacturers and dealers, cryptocurrency firms, Christian nonprofits, and fossil fuel companies have constituted the majority of debanking victims.
Senior Vice President of the National Shooting Sports Foundation, Lawrence Keane, joined multiple other affected groups in praising the proposed legislation. “There is no room in the American economy for unelected Wall Street bankers to decide winners-and-losers based solely on how individuals or entities choose to exercise their Constitutionally-protected rights,” Keane said.”

Just The News: “A Texas district court granted a request for a temporary restraining order against former U.S. Rep. Robert (Beto) O’Rourke, D-El Paso, and his political action group, Powered by People. Both have reportedly raised money to fund dozens of House Democrats leaving Texas. More than 50 left in protest to prevent the Texas House from conducting official business, including voting for a Congressional redistricting bill they oppose.
On Thursday, Attorney General Ken Paxton launched an investigation into Powered by the People and Texas Majority PAC, The Center Square reported.
On Friday afternoon, Paxton sued O’Rourke and Powered by the People in District Court in Tarrant County. Roughly three hours later, the court granted Paxton’s request for an emergency temporary restraining order to block them from continuing to raise or distribute money for absconding Democrats.
The 20-page lawsuit states, “Robert Francis O’Rourke and his political influence operation, Powered by People, are traveling the state misleadingly raising political funds to pay for the personal expenses of Texas Democrats who have abandoned their offices and fled the state in the middle of a Special Legislative Session. Texas law prohibits, as a matter of public confidence and trust, personal fundraising for state officials.
“Nevertheless, Mr. O’Rourke and Powered by People are intentionally blurring the dichotomy between political and personal funds in a deceptive and confusing manner to take advantage of donors. Mr. O’Rourke and Powered by People are directing consumers to political fundraising platforms, such as ActBlue, for the express political purpose of ‘fight[ing]’ Republicans and protecting Democratic seats from ‘corrupt republicans,’ meanwhile the funds are actually being used for lavish personal expenditures (i.e. travel on private jets, luxury hotel accommodations, and fine dining that are disconnected from, and have no legitimate purpose relating to, their legislative positions).”
“Texas law prohibits organizations from engaging in false, misleading, and deceptive acts, such as the fundraising scheme operated by O’Rourke and Powered by People,” Paxton said.
Late Friday, Judge Megan Fahey issued a 3-page ruling stating that the court “finds that harm is imminent to the State, and if the Court does not issue the Temporary Restraining Order, the State will be irreparably injured. Specifically, Defendants’ fundraising conduct constitutes false, misleading, or deceptive acts under the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act, … because Defendants are raising and utilizing political contributions from Texas consumers to pay for the personal expenses of Texas legislators, in violation of Texas law. Because this conduct is unlawful and harms Texas consumers, restraining this conduct is in the public interest.”
She also said that O’Rourke and Powered by People “have and will continue to engage in unlawful fundraising practices and utilization of political funds in a manner that either directly violates or causes Texas Democratic Legislators to violate” Texas penal and election codes and House Rules of Procedure. “Consumers have and continue to suffer irreparable harm through these unlawful acts because they are making political contributions that are being used to fund personal expenses and violate State law.”
The order issued a series of directives and scheduled a hearing for August 19 to determine if a temporary injunction should also be issued.
After the ruling, Paxton said, “The Beto Bribe buyouts that were bankrolling the runaway Democrats have been officially stopped. People like Robert believe Texas can be bought. Today, I stopped his deceptive financial influence scheme that attempted to deceive donors and subvert our constitutional process. They told me to ‘come and take it,’ so I did.”
In response to the lawsuit, O’Rourke said, “Paxton is trying to shut down Powered by People, one of the largest voter registration organizations in the country, because our volunteers fight for voting rights and free elections… the kind of work that threatens the hold that Paxton, Trump and Abbott have on power in Texas.” He also said Paxton “wants to silence me and stop me from leading this organization. He wants to stop us from fighting Trump’s attempt to steal the five congressional seats he needs to hang on to power. But I’m not going anywhere.”

EXCERPT: “It is about to become much more difficult for American universities to hide their diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) programs and race-based admissions schemes. That is because the Department of Education will now start requiring universities that receive federal funding to submit race and sex data from applicants, admissions, and enrollments for undergraduates, as well as certain graduate and other programs.
“Following the revelations of rampant racial preferencing in college admissions exposed by SFFA v. Harvard, the Trump Administration is now standardizing reporting from colleges and universities to provide full transparency into their admissions practices,” Education Secretary Linda McMahon said in a statement. “It should not take years of legal proceedings, and millions of dollars in litigation fees, to elicit data from taxpayer-funded institutions that identifies whether they are discriminating against hard working American applicants.”
“We will not allow institutions to blight the dreams of students by presuming that their skin color matters more than their hard work and accomplishments,” she added. “The Trump Administration will ensure that meritocracy and excellence once again characterize American higher education.”
In addition to race and sex data, other indicators like academic achievements, standardized test scores, and grade point averages (GPA) will accompany the profiles in order to keep track of potential systematic discrimination against students who would otherwise likely be admitted, were it not for them being white, Asian, or male, for example.
Ever since the backlash against DEI and racial admissions schemes, sometimes known as affirmative action, universities (which in large part invented these ideologies) have been looking for ways to find loopholes or bypass federal civil rights law.
As The Federalist reported, within hours of the Supreme Court deciding affirmative action to be unconstitutional, Harvard University sought loopholes to allow students to identify their race without checking a box (e.g. by encouraging they mention it in application essays)…..”

“The Moral Cost of Modern Transplant Medicine” By: Joseph Varon
Robert W Malone MD, MS, Aug 09, 2025
(Audio link”
EXCERPT: “In a time when trust in public health is already hanging by a thread, recent revelations from the US Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) have delivered another blow—one that strikes at the very heart of medical ethics.
“Our findings show that hospitals allowed the organ procurement process to begin when patients showed signs of life, and this is horrifying,” Secretary Kennedy said. “The organ procurement organizations that coordinate access to transplants will be held accountable. The entire system must be fixed to ensure that every potential donor’s life is treated with the sanctity it deserves.”
Hidden beneath the surface and quietly ignored by corporate media is a story that should horrify every physician, patient, and policymaker: the commodification of human life in the American transplant system.
The Independent Medical Alliance (IMA), a coalition of physicians dedicated to restoring transparency and patient-centered care, has publicly denounced the findings of a recent HHS report. As President of IMA, I can tell you this: what we’ve uncovered is not a case of benign negligence. It is a deliberate erosion of the most sacred values in medicine—consent, dignity, and the inviolability of the human body.
A System That No Longer Sees the Patient
Organ transplantation is, in theory, one of the great achievements of modern medicine. When practiced ethically and transparently, it has saved countless lives. But like so many institutions corrupted by profit and policy, it has drifted far from its original mission.
In 2024 alone, over 45,000 organ transplants were performed in the United States. That number should inspire hope—but instead, it invites scrutiny. A substantial portion of those organs were harvested under ethically ambiguous conditions, including donation after circulatory death (DCD) and questionable determinations of brain death. The line between patient and donor is blurring—and not in a way that honors either.
Organ Procurement Organizations (OPOs) are incentivized not by patient outcomes, but by volume. The more organs they harvest, the more funding they receive. Hospitals, too, receive significant reimbursement for transplant procedures, creating a perverse system where terminal patients are seen less as individuals with complex medical stories and more as reservoirs of reusable parts. The New York Times has published a piece that urges standards of death to be liberalized even further. “We need to figure out how to obtain more healthy organs from donors… We need to broaden the definition of death.”
Where Are These Organs Coming From?
The public assumes, understandably, that most organ donors are willing participants—cadaveric donors who’ve signed cards or checked boxes. But the data doesn’t support that rosy picture. A growing percentage of organ procurement comes from patients who are not dead in the traditional sense but are declared brain dead or transitioned to DCD protocols under murky guidelines.
Let’s talk plainly: Who decides when a person is truly dead? And how confident are we, as physicians, that our criteria are airtight?
The Trouble with Brain Death
Brain death is defined as the irreversible cessation of all brain activity, including the brainstem. On paper, that sounds final. In practice, it’s anything but. There is no universal standard for determining brain death in the United States. Each state, and often each hospital, may have its own protocol.
Here’s how it’s supposed to be done: …..”

foreign investor has already bought up NINE Malibu beachfront properties.
FTA
The foreign investor has apparently bought up nine oceanfront properties in Malibu at La Costa Beach.
From Realtor.com:
[A] foreign investor has been secretly scooping up many of the burned lots on the oceanfront side of the PCH [Pacific Coast Highway] — with the vision of rebuilding the mansions that dotted the coastline in the iconic beach town.
‘Once this beach is built back and it’s all brand-new construction, I think it’s going to be a very desirable spot for a lot of wealthy people to try to buy a beach house,’ Weston Littlefield with the Weston James Group tells Realtor.com.
Littlefield is confident this investment will be a success — with time and patience.
…
The luxury real estate agent and his colleague Alex Howe have been working with the investor who has, so far, purchased nine lots worth more than $65 million — but the process isn’t random.
Littlefield says the investor was only looking for properties with 40-plus feet of frontage and that many of these properties weren’t listed for sale when he initiated the search, so he had to track down the owners himself to see if they would sell.
Obviously some sentimental value was attached to these homes, but eventually they were able to come away with nine oceanfront properties right off the PCH.
It’s going to take quite some time for the rebuilding process to start in Malibu with 12- to 24-month timelines just to get permits approved.
We don’t know who this foreign investor is, or even where he or she is from, but either way, a foreign investor has scooped up nine oceanfront properties in wildfire-ravaged Malibu, and that either gives you the willies or makes you wanna go invest in some cheap real estate.
The list of required modifications, permits, and other requirements for these properties according to Realtor.com is out of this world.
For starters, an $11,579 base planning fee is required, not including any fees for site reviews, modifications, and variances, according to Malibu Rebuilds.
Littlefield’s client requested a specific minimum lot size because any newly built homes are required to be constructed according to the original square footage of the home that once stood on that parcel of land, but new laws are allowing for an additional 10% square footage.
New beachfront properties must meet FEMA’s flood plain requirements. Existing seawalls must be replaced unless a licensed engineer can certify they are compliant, and timber piles are no longer allowed.
In addition, for narrow parcels along La Costa Beach, view restrictions are in place. Plus, most new construction is not allowed to have septic systems; rather, they will require an Advanced Onsite Wastewater Treatment System.

:Relationship issues frequently arise from internal factors and personal patterns, rather than solely from the partner. Self-reflection, personal growth, and taking responsibility for one’s role in relationship dynamics are crucial for addressing these issues and preventing similar problems in future relationships, according to some relationship experts.
Relationship problems can be rooted in individual behaviors, communication styles, emotional responses, and unresolved past issues. It’s essential to examine one’s own contributions to relationship difficulties. This involves identifying negative patterns, triggers, and areas where personal growth is needed.
Without addressing personal issues, individuals may find themselves repeating similar relationship problems, even with different partners, highlighting the need for internal change.
Taking ownership of one’s part in relationship challenges is vital for fostering healthier dynamics and promoting personal growth. Couples therapy and individual therapy can provide support and guidance in this process, helping individuals develop self-awareness and make positive changes.”

A”ctually, Photoshop – the app – didn’t exist back then, but concern about deceptively edited photos feels like a very modern anxiety, yet a century ago similar worries were being litigated.
Portrait photography gave rise to an industry of photo retouching – analog “beauty filters” – to flatter subjects in a way portrait painters once did. This trend led to questions about technology distorting our perceptions of beauty, reality, and truth.
An 1897 issue of the New-York Tribune would declare the assumption “Photographs Do Not Lie” an “exploded notion,” saying that “…at the present time photographs may be and are made to lie with great frequency and facility.”
Other commercial applications of photo retouching emerged. In 1911, tourists visiting Washington DC could acquire fake photographs of themselves posing with then-President of the United States William Taft. This troubled government officials. Upon discovering the practice in 1911, a US attorney ordered it stopped. On July 29, 1912, the bill was introduced to the Senate “to prohibit the making, showing, or distributing of fraudulent photographs.”

“A doctor has raised concerns about a potential sexual health epidemic due to prolonged sitting and lack of physical activity, which can negatively impact circulation and cardiovascular health, both crucial for sexual function.
Research indicates that sedentary behavior and physical inactivity are modifiable risk factors for cardiovascular disease, which in turn can affect various aspects of health, including sexual function.
Sedentariness can reduce muscle glucose levels, impede lipid and carbohydrate metabolism, stimulate the sympathetic nervous system, and disrupt sex hormone circulation, all of which are potential risk factors for chronic health problems, including those affecting sexual function.
“Sitting Less and Moving More”:
Experts emphasize the importance of reducing sedentary time and increasing physical activity to improve cardiovascular health and mitigate the negative effects of prolonged sitting.
While the headline image specifically mentions gaming, the concerns extend to any prolonged sedentary behavior, such as excessive screen time, long commutes, or desk-bound work.”
