I found this article on ancient -origins.net detailing a discovery that might be Noah’s Ark.
From: ancient -origins.net:
New Evidence Suggests Formation in Turkey Might Really Be Noah’s Ark
In a mountainous area of eastern Turkey, a team of American researchers believes they may have uncovered the remnants of one of history’s most legendary vessels—Noah’s Ark. Working at a mysterious and intriguing site known as the Durupınar Formation, the group was stunned to discover what they describe as a “tunnel” beneath a boat-shaped geological formation that may match the Bible’s description of the vessel that supposedly came to rest after the Great Flood more than 4,300 years ago.
According to the Book of Genesis, Noah’s Ark was a massive wooden ship built to preserve humanity and animal life from a catastrophic global deluge. After 150 days, the Bible says, the ark came to rest “on the mountains of Ararat.” The Durupinar site lies just 18 miles (29 kilometers) south of Mount Ararat itself, Turkey’s highest peak and a location long rumored to be the ark’s final resting place.
Deep Scans Produce Stunning Results
The team, led by independent researcher Andrew Jones from the California-based organization Noah’s Ark Scans, employed ground-penetrating radar (GPR) to investigate the site. The scans reportedly revealed three distinct layers beneath the surface, an important detail that mirrors the biblical description of the ark having lower, second, and third decks.
One of the most significant discoveries to emerge from the GPR study is what appears to be a 43-foot (13-meter) tunnel running through the center of the formation. The scans also detected other open spaces and central and side corridors, which could suggest the presence of compartments or interior rooms.
“We’re not expecting something that’s fully preserved. What’s left is the chemical imprint, pieces of wood and in the ground, the shape of a hall,” Jones explained in a statement published by the Daily Mail Online.

GPS scan showing structures and open spaces inside the formation in Turkey, which could reveal rooms and corridors. (Noah’s Ark Scans).
So far, angular structures have been detected as deep as 20 feet (6 meters) below the surface of the ground. According to Jones and his colleagues, this would be a highly unusual feature in a naturally created geological formation.
“This is not what you’d expect to see if the site were simply a solid block of rock or the result of random mudflow debris,” Jones said. “But it is exactly what you’d expect to find if this were a man-made boat, consistent with the biblical specifications of Noah’s Ark.”
Supporting their geophysical findings, the team has collected and analyzed soil samples from 22 different locations surrounding the Durupinar formation. Soil scientist William Crabtree, another member of the Noah’s Ark Scans team, noted that samples taken from inside the formation show significantly different characteristics from those collected elsewhere.
“Organic matter was found to be double inside the formation compared to the surrounding soil,” Crabtree stated. “If you know soil science—as I am a soil scientist—you will understand that potassium levels, organic matter, and pH can all be affected by the decomposition of organic materials. If this was a wooden vessel and the wood had rotted over time, we would expect to see increased potassium levels, changes in pH, and higher organic content—and that’s exactly what we find.”
Further observations suggest grass growing within the formation differs in color from the vegetation outside it. This is a strong indicator that soil composition beneath the surface is varied or textured. Crabtree also mentioned a tunnel running from the tip of the structure toward its center, which is quite prominent and large. “It is large enough to walk through,” he said.

Skeptics have long maintained that the Durupınar Formation is a natural rock formation, possibly created by mudflows and erosion. The Noah’s Ark Scans team believes the new evidence warrants more extensive investigation. They plan to expand their research with core drilling, additional radar scans, and more soil sampling to record internal and external conditions more thoroughly.
“We want to compare what’s inside the formation to what’s outside,” Jones said. “That could give us a much clearer picture of whether this is truly something man-made.”
Will the Durupinar Mystery Ever Be Solved?
Durupınar has intrigued explorers and researchers since 1948, when heavy rains and seismic activity exposed its unusual boat-like outline. Discovered by a local Kurdish shepherd, the site has drawn both scientific and religious interest for decades.
Until recently, however, no excavation has been officially sanctioned. That is about to change, as Noah’s Ark Scans has announced that they will carry out a controlled excavation in partnership with several Turkish universities. This is a victory for those who are at least open to the idea that the unusual formation may be a petrified Noah’s Ark, as academic institutions have traditionally dismissed the Ark story from Genesis as a myth.
Before breaking ground, the excavation team intends to complete a preservation plan, to make sure the integrity of the archaeological site is preserved regardless of what new studies may reveal.

Good Morning All!
It’s foggy (?) out there this morning-hope it’s not more smoke!
walmart is much quieter these days–yes, the Halloween decorations and CANDY CORN is already out–dwarfing the back to school aisle!
hubby picked up a script for me while I shopped and had to endure a lecture from the pharmacist about all the vaccines i MIGHT need because of my age and condition. there was even a “checklist” in the bag with a whole bunch of them checked off that I “needed”. wonder what bonus he’s getting to push those?

Good morning, Pat! SMH – good grief! Yep, he’s definitely getting a bonus for pushing that crap….or threatened with firing if he doesn’t. Our skies are clear but I wouldn’t be surprised if it is smoke since there are several fires going in the US. It is humid, tho, and temp is up to 72 already – gonna hit 90 today, no doubt! But then the temps are predicted to drop a lot, with temps only in the low 80’s and 60’s at night. That will be nice!
I’ve seen several shows on the History channel about possible locations of the Ark, with Turkey being one of them. Who is to say what is the truth???
Weird! The first time ever during the week that I’ve logged into my e-mail and had NO news updates from any of the sites to which I subscribe! Hmmmm….wonder what’s going on??? No Wheezer yet this morning. He showed up late yesterday and slept much longer than he usually does – it was almost mid-morning before he left.

it’s brighter outside, but no definite sunshine…if this was fog, it would have burned off with the sunshine. I can see the mountain in front of us, but the sky above it and above us it gray.

The O’Keefe Media Group on Wednesday released undercover video of Daniel Choi, a US State Department Foreign Service Officer who admitted he dated a senior CCP leader’s daughter and refused to report her.
“I defied my government for love,” Daniel Choi said of his romantic relationship with 27-year-old Joi Zao.
Joi Zao entered the US on a work visa in September 2024.
“Her dad was either a provincial or a federal minister of education. So he’s, like, straight up Communist Party,” Choi said.
“Under federal regulations, Foreign Service Officers are required to report close and continuing contact with foreign nationals from adversarial nations, including China,” the O’Keefe Media Group reported.
Choi admitted he didn’t report her: “I was supposed to, whatever, sort of report what I knew about her, but I always thought that was kind of unfair.”

EXCERPT: “President Barack Obama made public statements as early as mid-December 2016 indicating that he was endorsing a predetermined CIA view about Vladimir Putin allegedly wanting Donald Trump to win and Hillary Clinton to lose. The intelligence community assessment (ICA) had not even been completed and was still being debated and drafted.
The record — bolstered by newly-declassified documents — shows that Obama was a central figure at key points throughout the Russiagate saga. Obama directed the creation of a new ICA on Russian meddling only after Trump was victorious in November 2016. Well before the ICA was finalized, Obama repeatedly endorsed the controversial and inaccurate conclusion from the CIA, run at the time by Director John Brennan. That conclusion was spun into a widely-adopted narrative that Putin had allegedly ordered election meddling in 2016 to hurt Clinton’s chances and to help Trump win.
Obama endorsed an anonymously-leaked CIA assessment on Russian meddling in mid-December 2016 during an interview with NPR, roughly two weeks before the ICA was finalized in late December 2016. Obama said during the interview that no one should be “surprised by the CIA assessment that this was done purposely to improve Trump’s chances” — a claim he was making following anonymous leaks to the media about the CIA’s alleged position, preempting the completion of the formal ICA later that month.
Obama’s pre-judged outcome
Obama similarly hinted that he had already come to the conclusion that Russia had allegedly meddled to hurt Clinton and help Trump during a mid-December 2016 White House press conference and a mid-December 2016 appearance on The Daily Show — both roughly two weeks prior to the ICA being completed.
Despite Obama’s perpetuating the falsity in mid-December 2016, a recent CIA review ordered by Director John Ratcliffe stated that the most-highly classified version of the ICA would not be completed until December 30, 2016. A less declassified version of the ICA would be dated January 5, 2017 — with the public version of the ICA dated the following day.
The post-election January 2017 ICA was put together by just the CIA, FBI, and NSA — led at the time by Brennan, since-fired FBI Director James Comey, and former NSA director Admiral Mike Rogers — with input from then-Director of National Intelligence James Clapper.
Gabbard: Proof that Obama knew it was false
“There is irrefutable evidence that details how President Obama and his national security team directed the creation of an intelligence community assessment that they knew was false,” Gabbard asserted from the podium at the White House press briefing room last month. “They knew it would promote this contrived narrative that Russia interfered in the 2016 election to help President Trump win, selling it to the American people as though it were true. It wasn’t.”
A spokesperson for Obama released a statement in response to Gabbard’s allegations, where he sought to deny Gabbard’s claims. “Out of respect for the office of the presidency, our office does not normally dignify the constant nonsense and misinformation flowing out of this White House with a response. But these claims are outrageous enough to merit one,” the Obama statement read.
“These bizarre allegations are ridiculous and a weak attempt at distraction. Nothing in the document issued last week undercuts the widely accepted conclusion that Russia worked to influence the 2016 presidential election but did not successfully manipulate any votes. These findings were affirmed in a 2020 report by the bipartisan Senate Intelligence Committee, led by then-Chairman Marco Rubio,” the former president’s statement said…..”

EXCERPT: “The Supreme Court’s decision to scrutinize the constitutionality of race-based congressional districts under the Voting Rights Act may give Republicans a major boost in their redistricting effort ahead of the 2026 midterm elections.
The constitutionality of race-based districts, which are primarily concentrated in the southern United States as a vestige of anti-discrimination efforts during the civil rights era, are also facing challenges from the Trump Justice Department, which has prodded at least one state to reconsider its district map over constitutional concerns.
The case comes before the court as Republicans in several states, frustrated with the results of the 2020 census, are planning a rare mid-decade redistricting to carve out more friendly seats, a bid to swing the 2026 midterms decisively in the party’s favor in a chamber of Congress that has been narrowly divided in recent years.
Redrawing maps in their party’s favor
States where Republicans control all three branches of government, like Texas and Florida, are currently considering options to redraw their maps ahead of the coming elections. Current plans in Texas could net the GOP an additional five seats. Other states, like Florida and Indiana, are also exploring redistricting options ahead of the midterms, which could net a handful of seats.
The coming Supreme Court consideration of a challenge to Louisiana’s district map could have wide-ranging implications for how states are required to consider the Voting Rights Act, specifically Section 2 of that law, when drawing their congressional maps.
The Voting Rights Act was passed during the Civil Rights era to combat rampant discrimination against black Americans in the South in voting laws. Section 2 prohibits race-based discrimination in state voting laws. By the 1980s, the courts applied Section 2 to the redistricting process to prevent vote dilution of minority groups, giving rise to majority-minority districts.
Louisiana was previously directed by a lower federal court to draw a map containing two majority-minority districts after its prior map was thrown out by a federal court. In the earlier map, black voters—who make up about one-third of the state’s population—only had one majority-minority congressional district.
However, that court-directed change was challenged by “non-black” residents of the state, who alleged that the redrawing violated the Fourteenth and Fifteenth Amendments to the Constitution, which grant equal protection under the law and prohibit denying the right to vote based on race or color, respectively. That challenge has now made its way to the High Court.
In a brief order last Friday, the Supreme Court ordered the two parties to submit supplemental briefs addressing whether “the State’s intentional creation of a second majority-minority congressional district violates the Fourteenth or Fifteenth Amendments to the U. S. Constitution,” signaling its willingness to consider the legal underpinnings of race-based districts across the country.
Federal “pre-approval” not required
In recent years, the Supreme Court has curtailed the previously expansive application of the Voting Rights Act. In 2013, the court struck down preclearance in Shelby County v. Holder, essentially eliminating Section 5 of the law which required certain states to seek federal approval for voting law changes. In 2021, the court made it more difficult to prove violations of Section 2 in Brnovich v. Democratic National Committee. Left-leaning Justices Breyer, Kagan and Sotomayor dissented from the opinion…..”

“Five Soldiers were shot today in an active shooter incident in the 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team area. All Soldiers were treated on-site and moved to Winn Army Community Hospital for further treatment. There is no active threat to the community,” the base posted on Facebook.
“Law enforcement was dispatched for a possible shooting in the 2nd ABCT complex at 10:56 a.m. The shooter was apprehended at 11:35 a.m.,” the post continued. “The installation was locked down at 11:04 a.m. and Fort Stewart lifted the lockdown of the main cantonment area at 12:10 p.m. 2nd ABCT complex is still locked down.
“Emergency medical personnel were dispatched to treat the wounded Soldiers at 11:09 a.m. The incident remains under investigation and no additional information will be released until the investigation is complete.”
Brigadier General John Lubas told the press Wednesday afternoon that the five wounded are in stable condition and expected to fully recover. Three needed surgery. The alleged shooter has been identified as Sgt. Quornelius Radford. The names of the victims have not been released so far and no motive has been disclosed. But the victims were some of Radford’s coworkers.
“We will not speculate as to any intentions, motives or back stories, given that this is an ongoing investigation,” Lt. Col. Angel Tomko told NBC News. Lubas also confirmed that the suspected shooter did not use a military weapon to shoot the soldiers, and it was likely a personal weapon.”

The president has consistently donated his $400,000 annual salary as commander-in-chief to charities or government agencies since his first term in 2017. He donated his very first presidential paycheck to the National Park Service, per the Washington Examiner.
“My first ‘Paycheck’ went to the White House Historical Association, as we make much needed renovations to the beautiful ‘People’s House,’” Trump wrote on Truth Social. “Great improvements and beautification is taking place at the White House, at levels not seen since its original creation. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”
Trump also claimed that he was the only president besides George Washington to donate his salary, but John F. Kennedy and Herbert Hoover also donated their salaries to charity, according to Politico.”

Just The News: “Texas Democrats who fled to Illinois to prevent a redistricting vote in their state had to evacuate their hotel Wednesday over a bomb threat.
St. Charles police officers responded to a report of a bomb threat at about 7:15 a.m. CDT at a hotel where they were staying, The Hill news outlet reported. The officers, the fire department, and the Kane County Sheriff’s Office conducted a “thorough” search and did not find any device, and everyone was safe. A total of 400 people were evacuated as bomb squad units conducted their search, and everyone was able to return to the hotel.
“I am aware of reports that threats were made against Texas elected officials in our state,” Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker (D) posted on X. “Threats of violence will be investigated and those responsible will be held accountable. I have instructed @ILStatePolice to ensure we maintain public safety.”
A group of Texas state House Democratic leaders said in a statement that a threat was made against their members but everyone is safe. “We are safe, we are secure, and we are undeterred,” they said. “We are grateful for Governor Pritzker, local, and state law enforcement for their quick action to ensure our safety.”
Many of the 57 Texas House Democrats who left the state over a GOP vote to redraw the state’s congressional map went to Illinois, but they are facing a daily fine of $500 for each day that they miss the special legislative session.
Texas Gov. Greg Abbott (R) ordered the arrest of the Democratic members who fled, arguing that they violated their oath of office by refusing to attend the special legislative session he called to address the redistricting plan.
President Trump has suggested that the FBI may get involved to help return the lawmakers, and Texas GOP Sen. John Cornyn asked the FBI in a letter to assist in doing so.”

Just The News: “President Donald Trump on Wednesday floated the idea of sending the National Guard to Washington, D.C., as part of his potential plan to take over the federal city to crack down on crimes committed by minors.
Trump threatened to end D.C. home rule on Tuesday if the city did not step up when it comes to prosecuting minors who commit serious crimes. Trump claimed the city’s lenient attitudes toward underaged criminals had emboldened them.
The threats come after former 19-year-old Department of Government Efficiency staffer Edward Coristine was assaulted by an alleged group of juveniles over the weekend who were apparently trying to carjack a vehicle in Northwest D.C.
Trump was asked whether he would consider taking over Washington, D.C.’s Metropolitan Police Department as a means to boost law enforcement activity in the capital, to which the president responded he was considering it, NBC News reported.
“We’re considering it. Yeah, because the crime is — is ridiculous,” Trump told reporters. “We have a capital that’s very unsafe, you know, we just almost lost a young man. Beautiful, handsome guy that got the hell knocked out of him the night before last. What a shame, rate of crime, the rate of muggings, killings and everything else,” he continued. “We’re not going to let it, and that includes bringing in the National Guard, maybe very quickly, too.”
It could be difficult to orchestrate a full federal takeover of the city, because both chambers of Congress would need to repeal the 1973 Home Rule Act. But if Trump does send in the National Guard, it would not be the first time he has done so.
Trump activated the National Guard in Washington, D.C. during his first term, after riots broke out in the city over the death of George Floyd in the summer of 2020. Washington, D.C. Democratic Mayor Muriel Bowser has declined to comment on Trump’s latest comment, but objected to activating the National Guard in 2020.”

Just The News: “The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) on Wednesday announced it was lifting the age cap for potential Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers as it looks to boost its enrollment by approximately 10,000 agents.
The announcement comes the same day Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem reported that DHS has received more than 80,000 applications for ICE positions since the One Big, Beautiful Bill greatly expanded the agency’s budget.
“We are ENDING the age cap for ICE law enforcement,” Noem said in a statement. “Qualified candidates can now apply with no age limit.”
ICE is also offering many benefits to entice new employees, including signing bonuses of up to $50,0000, options to repay or forgive student loans and other benefits. Previously, ICE agents had to be between 21-years-old and 37-years-old for some positions, or 40-years-old for others.
“Your country is calling on you to serve at ICE and defend the Homeland,” Acting ICE Director Todd Lyons said per Fox News. “In the wake of the Biden administration’s open border policies, the dedicated men and women of ICE now face unprecedented challenges in removing millions of criminal illegal aliens from our country.
“Thanks to the One Big Beautiful Bill, we now have funding to recruit and hire Americans who want to patriotically serve their country and protect American communities,” he added.
The enrollment drive comes despite a surge in attacks on federal agents, including an 830% increase in attacks on ICE agents since President Donald Trump took office in January, because of their efforts to crack down on illegal immigration.”

EXCERPT: “The Biden administration abused its power by turning the entire mechanism of the federal government into a Democratic voter mobilization campaign, according to newly unearthed White House documents viewed exclusively by The Post.
The worst offender was FEMA, the Federal Emergency Management Agency, under the Department of Homeland Security, which was controlled for four years by Biden’s Machiavellian border buster Alejandro Mayorkas.
When responding to an emergency or a natural disaster, FEMA employees were directed to make voter registration a “key priority.” They politically targeted vulnerable people in their hour of need instead of focusing on providing federal assistance. Left-wing NGOs were brought in to “educate” FEMA staff about “equity and voter access for individuals affected by disaster,” says a Trump administration official.
“FEMA’s job is to make sure Americans who have suffered catastrophic loss due to some disaster in their community [can access] food, water and shelter … Under President Biden, FEMA, like every agency, produced a plan on how they would leverage these crisis situations for political [purposes]. I can’t think of anything more disgusting.”
FEMA snubbed GOP
FEMA employees were so fixated on voter outreach that, when they visited hurricane-ravaged Florida last October, they didn’t even bother knocking on the doors of houses that had Trump signs in the yard. Instead of assisting Hurricane Milton survivors, they were instructed to “avoid homes advertising Trump,” according to an Office of Special Counsel complaint.
FEMA supervisor Marn’i Washington was fired as a scapegoat after Republican Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis called foul on the scam and the Daily Wire reported that at least 20 homes with Trump signs or flags had been skipped by FEMA and denied the opportunity of qualifying for federal assistance.
It stands to reason that if FEMA’s priority was getting out Democrats to vote, the last people they would want to visit were Trump supporters. The Florida scandal came on the heels of the Biden administration’s sluggish response to Hurricane Helene in Trump-supporting rural areas of North Carolina and Tennessee.
Whether it was Hurricane Helene, the Maui wildfires, Hurricane Ian, or the East Palestine train derailment in Ohio, FEMA always came up short during the Biden years. The agency’s inadequate performance is more understandable when you realize that providing actual disaster relief to victims had become simply a side dish to the partisan political priorities of the Democratic Party.
It began the minute Joe Biden came into office, when he concocted a fake voter registration crisis by leveraging the same racial discord that he had exploited during the George Floyd riots the previous summer, claiming that “many Americans, especially people of color, confront significant obstacles to exercising the fundamental right” to vote, including “difficulties with voter registration, lack of election information, and barriers to access at polling places.”….”

Well, the smoke is here, too…..I can see the haze on the horizon. It is humid but not THAT humid!!! I finally cut the cantalope that I bought at WM – no more buying any melons from them! Both the water melon and the lope sucked – I never ate more than a couple of bites from the melon – in spite of it clearly being ripe, it was still very hard to chew, as if it wasn’t at all ripe. And the same just happened with the lope that I let sit to hopefully ripen more….it stayed green on the ends and I could see it was clearly ripe when I cut it but it was very hard and not tasty at all. From now on, I’ll go to HyVee for melons or the farmers markets. I’ll have to check with Mom to get the market schedule.

“The “Night Witches” were an all-female, highly decorated Soviet Air Forces regiment during World War II, officially known as the 588th Night Bomber Regiment. They were renowned for their nighttime bombing missions against Nazi Germany, using antiquated biplanes to great effect. The Germans, terrified and frustrated by their nocturnal attacks, nicknamed them “Nachthexen,” meaning “Night Witches”.
The 588th Night Bomber Regiment was formed in 1941 by Marina Raskova, often called the “Soviet Amelia Earhart”. She convinced Stalin to allow women into combat roles, specifically forming this all-female regiment.
They flew obsolete, slow, and open-cockpit Polikarpov Po-2 biplanes, which were also known as “crop dusters” and “mules”. These aircraft were difficult to shoot down because they flew slower than the stall speed of German fighters.
The Night Witches were masters of nighttime warfare. They would fly in near silence by cutting their engines and gliding towards their targets, delivering bombs and then speeding away before the Germans could react.
The regiment flew over 23,000 sorties, dropping 3,000 tons of bombs and 26,000 incendiary shells, according to Wikipedia. They were the most highly decorated female unit in the Soviet Air Force. Many pilots flew over 800 missions, and 23 were awarded the Hero of the Soviet Union medal.”

“The First Amendment generally protects your right to record in public places, including public servants like police officers. Some state courts have ruled that recording officers without their consent can be considered a crime, potentially leading to significant penalties.
There are potential Legal Consequences: Despite the First Amendment protection, recording without consent in certain states could result in criminal charges and even imprisonment. While recording police is generally protected, be aware of specific state laws regarding consent and potential legal ramifications.”

“D-Day, specifically June 6, 1944, marked the beginning of Operation Overlord, the massive Allied invasion of Normandy. The operation involved landing over 150,000 Allied troops by sea and air on five designated beaches: Utah, Omaha, Gold, Juno, and Sword.
D-Day is considered the largest amphibious military operation in history and was a pivotal moment in the liberation of Europe from Nazi occupation. The landings involved significant casualties on both sides but ultimately led to the establishment of a beachhead in France, paving the way for the Allied advance.”

Well, I made another discovery re: swelling in my legs. For the first time, I left the cold compress on both legs all night and it made a tremendous difference. My left leg isn’t nearly as swollen today….so, I’ll be doing that every night now. At least I’m seeing SOME progress, which makes this a little bit easier to handle. I am also seeing a difference in the strength of my legs, which my work outside is helping with. It used to be when I wanted to lift my lower leg, I had to pull it up with my hand – now I can lift it w/o doing that. Slow progress but at least it’s something positive. I can also now step down and back up on my front porch without reaching out for support.

I’m going to pick up more ace wraps so I can extend it up to my thigh as well. The area above what was wrapped is very swollen and hard – there is a distinct line between what was wrapped and higher up my calf. Kind of weird, actually, but whatever…and my leg doesn’t hurt as badly either.

EXCERPT: “Despite the U.S. Supreme Court ruling in 2023 that schools cannot use racial preferences in its admissions process, Harvard University’s medical school continues to discriminate against its applicants, according to a Wednesday complaint.
America First Legal (AFL) filed a civil rights complaint with the Department of Justice detailing a “calculated effort” from Harvard Medical School to continue race-based admissions while appearing to comply with federal law. The complaint, which includes evidence of sex-based preferences as well, notes that Harvard continues to do this because of its dedication to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) ideology.
“This is not only illegal, it is unethical. By using new labels to sustain the same discriminatory system and elevating identity over individual merit, Harvard is turning the training of physicians into a vehicle for demographic engineering and social activism,” AFL counsel Megan Redshaw told The Federalist. “The American people deserve physicians chosen for skill and competency — not because they checked the right diversity box.”
AFL’s complaint states that Harvard is violating Title VI, Title IX, executive orders signed by President Donald Trump, and the Supreme Court’s decision in Students for Fair Admissions v. Harvard.
The school uses “race proxies embedded within holistic review criteria and ideologically driven DEI frameworks — all designed to produce predetermined demographic outcomes,” the complaint states. “This is not a lawful adaptation. It is covert circumvention to achieve the very racial balancing the Supreme Court struck down as ‘patently unconstitutional.’”
The school uses a purportedly “holistic” method, which AFL says “utilizes diversity-based essay prompts structured to elicit racial and identity-based information about an applicant in ways that allow admissions officers to discern race and other protected characteristics.”
That is fully in-line with Harvard’s plan to find a loophole back in 2023 — a door opened by Chief Justice John Roberts, who authored the Supreme Court opinion and decided to include the wink-wink, nudge-nudge line stating, “nothing in this opinion should be construed as prohibiting universities from considering an applicant’s discussion of how race affected his or her life, be it through discrimination, inspiration, or otherwise.”
Immediately, Harvard leadership took that line and put its thumb in the eye of the Supreme Court, stating, tongue-in-cheek, “We will certainly comply with the Court’s decision,” before suggesting that there would be other ways an applicant can tell admissions teams their race without explicitly checking a box on an application.
The school also “constructed a parallel, race-conscious pipeline to identify, recruit, and advance individuals from its preferred demographic categories at every medical education and training state,” the complaint states, adding that the pipeline can start as early as middle school, and uses the phrase “underrepresented minorities and/or disadvantaged individuals” as a euphemism for race and sex preferences.
To pursue some of these preferences, the complaint states that Harvard used at least $49.1 million from federal taxpayers to fund its DEI programming….”

Several million US-born teenagers have just appeared out of nowhere
According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics’ household survey, America’s native-born population aged 16 and over has increased by 3mn in the last seven months. Overall population growth in the same period was 1.1mn.
This doesn’t make a whole heap of sense. Any increase in the 16-plus native-born population this year would imply either a higher US birth rate in 2009 or a sudden increase in Boomer longevity.
But US birth rates have been trending steadily lower since 2006 while post-pandemic deaths are back on the long-term trend:

“Cracker Barrel Is Another Regional Hallmark That’s Fallen Victim To Monocultural Carpetbaggers — Cracker Barrel’s soulless remodeling push wipes away the nostalgic charm that makes the restaurant chain special.”
The Federalist, By: Hayden Daniel, August 07, 2025
ENTIRE ARTICLE: “While driving through northern Arkansas on the way to a wedding in rural Missouri earlier this year, I decided to treat an old college friend from Bangladesh to a meal at that bastion of Americana: Cracker Barrel.
I hadn’t been to a Cracker Barrel in years, but it was just as I remembered it — the cluttered general store area full of knick-knacks, the kitschy memorabilia cluttered on the wall, the intentionally dated homestyle atmosphere, and the relatively quick service. It was, in a word, quaint. Exactly as advertised. My friend was not particularly impressed. When he expressed that he didn’t get why Cracker Barrel is so great, I responded, in jest, “That’s why you’ll never be an American.”
The executives who run Cracker Barrel obviously share the same opinion as my Bangladeshi friend, since they’re replacing the old-timey charm that makes Cracker Barrel a special place with the same soulless, whitewashed aesthetic that can only be dreamed up and approved in an equally soulless corporate boardroom or at a high-rise consultancy firm.
The typical Cracker Barrel’s aesthetic is very obviously an idealized version of yesteryear’s America, but in a natural, sincere way. It effortlessly harkens back to a simpler time — a time your grandparents knew and lived in — when mom-and-pop general stores and diners hadn’t yet given way to the march of progress. And that’s the entire appeal of the restaurant: For an hour or so, you can go back and indulge in a bit of harmless nostalgia.
By contrast, this new aesthetic tries to pay lip service to that same sense of wizened charm but ultimately comes off as spiritually sterile, manufactured, and hollow. Every decorative item on the wall in the video above looks like it could have come from Chip and Joanna Gaines’ Hearth and Hand line at Target — trying way too hard and not enough at the same time.
It looks … like every other middle-grade sit-down restaurant, just with some rolling pins and the odd chicken picture hung up on the wall — maximized for efficiency rather than the customer experience. It’s hard to imagine sitting down and having a long conversation with your family over several refills of sweet tea in a place like this.
So why make these changes? It seems as though declines in guest traffic in recent years helped convince the corporate suits that the restaurants needed a more “modern” look to bring in new customers.
Cracker Barrel has admittedly declined in quality over the last few years (like everything else), and corporations often delude themselves into believing that the problem is not that they’ve cut corners on quality and customer service but that their decor is “outdated.” The Wall Street Journal reported that the company is making tweaks to its menu, like adding shrimp dishes (yay?), but the biggest investment is undoubtedly in completely sterilizing the decor, with the company’s finance chief stressing to the WSJ that the renovations require “a lot of capital.”
For now, only a fraction of Cracker Barrel’s stores have been “spruced up” — around 40 of 660 locations as of May — and the extent of the so-called “glow-ups” varies, the Journal reported in June. However, the social media backlash might convince the company to back off any further attempts at “modernizing” what is designed to be nostalgic.
Cracker Barrel, founded and based in Tennessee, has a distinct rural Southern identity, but this remodeling push trades that identity for a rootless, intentionally drab imitation. The loss of distinct culture and character in American cities and towns as big box stores and chain restaurants take over has been commented on for years. Whether it’s Cracker Barrel’s Southern decor or distinct regional accents, the differences that make America such a unique place are giving way to a monoculture that’s being pushed, intentionally or otherwise, by corporate and media forces.”

EXCERPT: “T.S. Eliot claimed that “April is the cruelest month,” but in this homeschooling dad’s opinion, that dubious honor belongs to August. In one of the great ironies of modern American life, we choose to send our kids back to school amid the dog days of summer, a sweltering time that would be better spent at the community pool.
Back-to-school time is also an expensive proposition. The National Retail Federation claims that between new clothes and shoes, school supplies, and electronics, the average family will fork out over $850 this year to outfit their K-12 children. Teachers have it even worse; according to Adopt-A-Classroom, the average teacher spent almost $900 out of his own pocket to buy classroom supplies in the 2024-2025 school year.
But there’s at least one group that won’t need to make hard financial decisions this month: high-level educational bureaucrats. Take Dr. Michelle Reid, the superintendent of Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS). Not only does her new contract give her a salary higher than that of the president of the United States, but she also gets a car allowance and is currently seeking a taxpayer-funded “executive protection agent” to shield her from the peasants she supposedly serves. “Queen Reid” embodies the entitled mindset of an educational establishment that refuses to learn from its mistakes. It’s Good to Be the Queen
Recruited from the suburbs of Seattle in the summer of 2022, Reid now runs government schools for one of the wealthiest counties in the entire country. According to the Census Bureau, the average per capita income of Fairfax County, Virginia, is close to $70,000 per year, almost $25,000 higher than the national average. As a result of this prosperity, FCPS has very deep pockets; its 2025 budget is nearly $4 billion due in large part to tax increases meant to address the district’s massive administrative bloat.
Are Fairfax County families receiving good value for their money, though? While FCPS does consistently outperform the national average, there is data indicating that its performance on state standards is slipping as a result of pandemic learning loss and an enormous influx of migrant students (Fairfax County declared itself a “sanctuary county” in 2018).
Reid’s tenure as superintendent, however, has been more notable for her adherence to leftist dogma than for effectively addressing these core concerns. In 2023, she presided over a scandal regarding several schools’ failure to notify parents regarding their children’s status as recipients of commendations from the National Merit Scholarship program. Since many of these families were Asian American, these “errors” were linked to the “equity mindset” celebrated in Reid’s bio on the Educate Fairfax website. More recently, a Department of Education investigation found FCPS and four other Northern Virginia school districts guilty of failing to comply with the Title IX protections for female athletes.
In 2024, the principal of Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology, Ann Bonitatibus, announced she was resigning after a number of scandals and after she tanked the school’s ranking as the top high school in the country. But instead of sending Bonitatibus packing, Reid promoted her to district headquarters.
Perhaps issues like these are why Reid is calling for an armed bodyguard while refusing to harden vulnerable schools. After all, it’s not like she can ask that the Trump DOJ to designate her critics as “domestic terrorists.”
A Corrupt Kingdom
It would be comforting to see Reid as an outlier, but her approach is standard operating procedure for the educational establishment. Concerned citizens need only look at the National Educational Association (NEA) to understand this…..”

i brought this yesterday i think. who the hell does she think she is with that salary and those perks?
and yeah teachers may buy their own supplies, but they get generous discounts at several crafts store ALL YEAR ROUND. and teachers get free medical benefits for them and their families…summers OFF, pension plans that are unheard of…so cry me a river.
the bureaucrats do not deserve the high dollar perks and the teachers get paid enough to afford all the supplies they buy.
they get paid to complete on line courses and get raises on top of their scheduled raises and if they complete their masters, they get another hefty bump in pay, on TOP of the raise for completing courses and on top on scheduled raises. all on the tax payer’s dime.

I must have missed it. Yeah, my adopted Mom always had to buy a lot of her own supplies – every August, we made the annual pilgrimage to “the mall” in Omaha and that was also when we bought my new school clothes for the year. It was THE occasion of our summer and we went out to eat while we were there.

“Lawsuit: The Regulation Of Untaxed Firearms Under Federal Law Is Unconstitutional”
The Federalist, By: Jacqueline Annis-Levings, August 06, 2025
ENTIRE ARTICLE: “Several Second Amendment advocacy groups, including the National Rifle Association (NRA), have filed a lawsuit to challenge the constitutionality of the National Firearms Act of 1934 (NFA).
President Trump’s One Big, Beautiful Bill erased the NFA’s $200 stamp tax on short-barreled rifles, short-barreled shotguns, any firearm classified by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms (ATF) as “other,” and suppressors starting Jan. 1, 2026. However, “the firearms are still required to be registered and are subject to” regulations designed to enforce the “now-extinct” tax, the lawsuit says. This “regulatory regime” no longer comports with Congress’ constitutional authority, plaintiffs claim. The lawsuit also argues that “the NFA’s regulation of suppressors and short-barreled rifles violates the Second Amendment.”
“The National Firearms Act’s registration scheme only exists to ensure that the tax on NFA firearms was paid,” Adam Kraut, the Second Amendment Foundation’s (SAF) executive director, said in a press release. “With Congress removing the tax on silencers, short-barreled firearms, and ‘any other weapons,’ the continued inclusion of these items in the NFA serves no purpose, except continuing to retain an impermissible hurdle to the exercise of one’s constitutional right to keep and bear arms.”
The lawsuit, Brown v. ATF, was filed on August 1 in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri. The plaintiffs are the NRA, the American Suppressor Association (ASA), SAF, the Firearms Policy Coalition (FPC), Prime Protection STL Tactical Boutique, and two individual members of these organizations. They are suing both the ATF and the DOJ. The lawsuit asks the court to declare NFA regulations “relating to making, transferring, receiving, possessing, or otherwise using” the untaxed firearms and suppressors unlawful and to block anyone from enforcing the challenged portions of the law.
According to the NRA, an earlier version of the Big, Beautiful Bill included language that would have removed the $200 “federal excise tax, registry, and paperwork currently imposed on suppressors,” short-barreled rifles, short-barreled shotguns, and “any other weapons” under the NFA. However, this language was removed from the legislation after the Senate parliamentarian advised it violated the Byrd rule. As The Federalist’s Jordan Boyd reported, the parliamentarian’s role is “purely advisory.” The Senate chair can ignore her recommendations, and “60 senators … could overrule the chair if he sides with the parliamentarian.” What’s more, a “simple majority could add the language back to the bill as an amendment.”
The final version of the Big Beautiful Bill cut the tax from $200 to zero but, as the lawsuit details, still allows for “burdensome” registration requirements.
The NFA was originally introduced, by the ATF’s admission, with an “underlying purpose” to “curtail, if not prohibit, transactions in NFA firearms.” It was signe into law by FDR under the age-old pretense of preventing violence. At the time, the $200 tax was closer to $5,000 in today’s dollars. The law was later revised because of concerns about its constitutionality, but the tax and registration requirement remained.
“Congress took a major step by eliminating the NFA tax on suppressors and short-barreled firearms through the OBBB, and we’re proud to work alongside other leading Second Amendment organizations to finish the job,” said John Commerford, executive director of the NRA’s Institute for Legislative Action.”

This is America…..
I refer to them as self looting programs. They are set up by politicians to be looted.
All the politicians care about is handling the fallout when law enforcement uncovers the extent of the looting.
The politicians are experts at handling the fallout because the people keep electing them
In Minnesota it seems one particular group is expert at looting. The money goes to fueling their political movement. They are very successful at it.
The politicians who they put in office spit in our faces everyday and tell us repeatedly how much they hate America. They actually despise us because we are weak and because we fear being called racist or anti immigrant when we confront them.
