Buffalo soldiers were African American soldiers who mainly served on the Western frontier following the American Civil War. In 1866, six all-Black cavalry and infantry regiments were created after Congress passed the Army Organization Act. Their main tasks were to help control the Native Americans of the Plains, capture cattle rustlers and thieves and protect settlers, stagecoaches, wagon trains and railroad crews along the Western front.
Who Were the Buffalo Soldiers?
No one knows for certain why, but the soldiers of the all-Black 9th and 10th Cavalry Regiments were dubbed “buffalo soldiers” by the Native Americans they encountered.
One theory claims the nickname arose because the soldiers’ dark, curly hair resembled the fur of a buffalo. Another assumption is the soldiers fought so valiantly and fiercely that the Indians revered them as they did the mighty buffalo.
Whatever the reason, the name stuck, and African American regiments formed in 1866, including the 24th and 25th Infantry (which were consolidated from four regiments) became known as buffalo soldiers.
The 9th Cavalry Regiment
The mustering of the 9th Cavalry took place in New Orleans, Louisiana, in August and September of 1866. The soldiers spent the winter organizing and training until they were ordered to San Antonio, Texas, in April 1867. There they were joined by most of their officers and their commanding officer, Colonel Edward Hatch.
Training the inexperienced and mostly uneducated soldiers of the 9th Calvary was a challenging task. But the regiment was willing, able and mostly ready to face anything when they were ordered to the unsettled landscape of West Texas.
The soldiers’ main mission was to secure the road from San Antonio to El Paso and restore and maintain order in areas disrupted by Native Americans, many of whom were frustrated with life on Indian reservations and broken promises by the federal government. The Black soldiers, facing their own forms of discrimination from the U.S. government, were tasked with removing another minority group in that government’s name.
The 10th Cavalry Regiment
The 10th Cavalry was based in Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, and commanded by Colonel Benjamin Grierson. Mustering was slow, partly because the colonel wanted more educated men in the regiment and partly because of a cholera outbreak in the summer of 1867.
In August 1867, the regiment was ordered to Fort Riley, Kansas, with the task of protecting the Pacific Railroad, which was under construction at the time.
Before they left Fort Leavenworth, some troops fought hundreds of Cheyenne in two separate battles near the Saline River. With the support of the 38th Infantry Regiment—which was later consolidated into the 24th Infantry Regiment—the 10th Cavalry pushed back the hostile Indians.
The cavalry lost just one man and several horses despite having inferior equipment and being greatly outnumbered. It was just one of many battles to come.

Indian Wars
Both the 9th and 10th Cavalry Regiments participated in dozens upon dozens of skirmishes and larger battles of the Indian Wars as America became obsessed with westward expansion.
For instance, the 9th Cavalry was critical to the success of a three-month, unremitting campaign known as the Red River War against the Kiowas, the Comanches, the Cheyenne and the Arapahoe. It was after this battle that the 10th Cavalry was sent to join them in Texas.
Troops H and I of the 10th Cavalry were part of a team that rescued wounded Lieutenant-Colonel George Alexander Forsyth and what remained of his group of scouts trapped on a sand bar and surrounded by Native Americans in the Arikaree River. A couple of weeks later, the same troops engaged hundreds of Indians at Beaver Creek and fought so gallantly that they were thanked in a field order by General Philip Sheridan.
By 1880, the 9th and 10th Cavalry Regiments had minimized Indian resistance in Texas and the 9th Cavalry was ordered to Indian Territory in modern-day Oklahoma, ironically to prevent white settlers from illegally settling on Indian land. The 10th Cavalry continued to keep the Apache in check until the early 1890s when they relocated to Montana to round up the Cree.
About 20 percent of U.S. Cavalry troops that participated in the Indian Wars were buffalo soldiers, who participated in at least 177 conflicts.
Buffalo Soldiers Protect National Parks

Buffalo soldiers didn’t only battle Native Americans. They also fought wildfires and poachers in Yosemite and Sequoia National Parks and supported the parks’ infrastructure.
According to the National Park Service, buffalo soldiers billeted at the Presidio army post in San Francisco during the winter and served as park rangers in the Sierra Nevada in the summer.
Buffalo Soldiers in Other Conflicts
In the late 1890s, with the “Indian problem” mostly settled, the 9th and 10th Calvary and the 24th and 25th Infantry headed to Florida at the start of the Spanish-American War.
Even facing blatant racism and enduring brutal weather conditions, buffalo soldiers earned a reputation for serving courageously. They fought heroically in the Battle of San Juan Hill, the Battle of El Caney and the Battle of Las Guasimas.
The 9th and 10th Cavalry Regiments served in the Philippines in the early 1900s. Despite proving their military worth time and again, they continued to experience racial discrimination. During World War I, they were mostly relegated to defending the Mexican border.
Both regiments were integrated into the 2nd Cavalry Division in 1940. They trained for overseas deployment and combat during World War II. The 9th and 10th Cavalry Regiments were deactivated in May 1944.

Good morning, Pat and Filly, Very interesting post today about the valiant Buffalo soldiers. It’s tragic that people discriminate against others on the basis of race and skin color.

The AC guy is here right now. My unit hasn’t been serviced in a long time due to my being out of town and busy with Sally. In the heat of the day yesterday, it got up to 81 inside when it was set on 75. I got them to come first thing in the AM because my filter is in the attic and the unit is on the west side of the house. Don’t want them to expire trying to do the service.

Eureka! Thank you, GA – that perked me right up! Two of them are going gang-busters, with tons of flowers and runners. The third is really tiny but it does have a few flowers on it so there’s hope for that one yet. In fact, I watched as a bumble-bee was busy going about his pollinating duties!!! I WILL have at least some lopes this year! Yeah!!!

“The Saudi Arabia Timeline”
Clandestine, Jul 27, 2025
1) Before Trump was President, December 2015, he claimed Saudi Prince Al-Waleed bin Talal Al Saud, “wants to control our politicians with daddy’s money.”
Trump called out Al-Waleed just a few months after coming down the escalator, and promised to stop this when he became President. Trump was alleging that certain US politicians were owned by Al-Waleed, who was, and still is, the 2nd largest stakeholder in Twitter, now X, via his investment firm, Kingdom Holding Company.
Al-Waleed is an extended member of the Royal House of Saud, not in direct line of the crown, but grandson to King Abdulaziz Al Saud, the founder of modern day Saudi Arabia. On paper, he is worth $16+ billion, but he has (had) access to much more.
2) Fast-forward to May 20th 2017:
Trump’s first visit on his international tour in 2017, was Saudi Arabia. Trump did the famous sword dance and odd photo ops with King Salman. The sword dance, known as “Ardah,” is a symbol of unity/cooperation, and originated as a war dance, used by warriors to intimidate their enemies and show unity before battle.
3) Fast-forward a month later to June 21st, 2017:
King Salman replaces Mohammed bin Nayef (right) as Crown Prince and in line for the throne, in favor of King Salman’s son, Mohammed bin Salman (left). This historic move consolidated power with the Al Sudairi faction within the Royal family, and took power away from the Nayef faction, who had grown as a rival to Mohammed bin Salman, within the royal family.
MBS also has a stellar relationship with one President Donald Trump. So one month after Trump visits Saudi Arabia, King Salman revokes the crown from Mohammed bin Nayef, and appoints now Trump ally, Mohammed bin Salman.
Nayef was placed on House arrest after being revoked of the Crown, and would be later be formally arrested on charges of treason.
4) Fast-forward four months later to November 4th, 2017:
New Crown Prince MBS conducts unprecedented corruption “purge” on corrupt politicians, Royal family members, including, the previously mentioned, Prince Al-Waleed bin Talal, on charges of money laundering and corruption. MBS arrested and detained hundreds of corrupt Saudis.
5) Then two days later, on November 6th, 2017, right in the middle of this unprecedented Saudi purge, President Trump tweets that he has “great confidence in King Salman and the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia”(MBS).
So Trump’s buddy, MBS, arrested Prince Al-Waleed bin Talal, and forced Al-Waleed to give up information and $2+ billion dollars. So the guy Trump was alleging was controlling US politicians back in 2015, got arrested by Trump’s ally, MBS, on charges of corruption and money laundering.
One of the first things Trump did as POTUS, was go after Prince Al-Waleed bin Talal, in Saudi Arabia.
6) Fast-forward to 2025:
Trump and MBS have a stellar relationship, and Trump is beloved in Saudi Arabia. Why? Because I think Trump had something to do with King Salman and Crown Prince MBS rooting corruption out of their country in 2017, and I think the corruption there in Saudi Arabia, is related to the corruption here in the US. Trump alleged that Al-Waleed bin Talal was controlling US politicians with Saudi money.
Now the questions are, which politicians were under Al-Waleed’s control, for how long, and to what effect? I’ve got a few guesses.”

Hopefully, Trump will reverse his position of supporting lab-grown meat!!!
Just The News: “Texas will become the seventh state to ban the production and sale of lab-grown meat in September. Florida was the first, followed by Alabama last year. This year, five more states, including Texas, followed.
They did so after the Trump administration took the opposite approach. In 2019, the first Trump administration was the first in U.S. history to begin the process to authorize lab-grown chicken, seafood and beef in the U.S. In 2023, under former President Joe Biden, the U.S. became the second country in the world to approve the production and sale of lab-grown meat.
Recognizing the importance of the Texas cattle industry and health concerns expressed by Texans, state Sen. Charles Perry, R-Lubbock, filed SB 261 to ban the sale of lab-grown meat in Texas. The bill, which includes civil and criminal penalties, received bipartisan support and was signed into law by Gov. Greg Abbott last month. It becomes effective Sept. 1.
“The introduction of lab-grown meat could disrupt traditional livestock markets, affecting rural economies and family farms,” Perry’s bill analysis states. “There are concerns over transparency in labeling, risk of contamination, and the long-term health impacts of consuming cell-cultured products.” The measure prohibits the production and sale of cell-cultured protein products in Texas “to protect consumers and support traditional agriculture.”
“Cell-cultured protein is made by harvesting animal cells and growing them in a bioreactor to produce tissue-based food products,” the analysis explains.
Earlier this year, the Texas legislature passed a resolution officially recognizing a “State Steak of Texas,” highlighting Texas as “the birthplace of many iconic culinary traditions, including those tied to cattle drives, chuck wagons, and steak houses, all of which have cemented steak as an integral part of the state’s culture and cuisine,” The Center Square reported.
Texas remains the undisputable leader with the most beef cattle in the U.S., representing nearly 15% of the national beef market, The Center Square reported. Texas cattle, including beef and dairy, are Texas’ top agricultural commodity, representing $15.5 billion in market value in 2022, according to state agriculture data.
Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis was the first governor in the country to sign a lab-grown meat ban last year in an effort to protect the state’s cattle and agricultural industry. Alabama wasn’t far behind. This year, five more states followed. In February, South Dakota’s governor signed its ban into law. In March, Mississippi’s ban was approved. In May, Nebraska’s ban was signed into law. In July, Indiana implemented a two-year ban on lab-grown meat.
Georgia attempted to implement a ban this year, HB 201, which went nowhere this legislative session. Arizona passed a bill this year, HB 2739, requiring labeling on all cell-grown products.
State legislative action was taken after the first Trump administration’s departments of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service and Health and Human Services’ Food and Drug Administration announced a formal agreement to jointly oversee the production of human food products derived from the cells of livestock and poultry. The regulatory framework directed the FDA to oversee “cell collection, cell banks, and cell growth and differentiation.”
By 2023, the Biden administration continued the Trump administration’s work. Its FDA and USDA approved California-based Upside Foods and Good Meat to sell cell-based chicken products, which are currently being sold in restaurants nationwide. Upside Foods sued Florida last year arguing its ban is unconstitutional. A federal judge allowed the lawsuit to go forward this April. It remains unclear if the California company or others like it will sue the seven states that have so far implemented bans.
Last month, the second Trump administration continued the efforts it began in 2019 when the FDA and USDA approved a San Francisco-based cell-based seafood company Wildtype to market its products that are currently being served in restaurants. It was approved after agri-giant Cargill and partners invested more than $100 million to launch an “alternative to salmon,” Just Food reported.
Although the U.S. began its process in 2019, Singapore was the first country in the world to officially authorize the production of lab-grown meat in 2020. The U.S. was the second in 2023. Last year, Israel became the third after an Israeli company, Aleph Farms, received approval to sell lab-grown meat in Israel and the Middle East. Several European countries are also moving toward approving lab grown meat, according to several news reports.”

Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell has been sued by Azoria Capital, a money management firm, over the Fed’s practice of holding closed-door meetings for the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC).
The lawsuit, filed in a Washington, D.C. federal court, alleges that the Fed is violating the 1976 Government in the Sunshine Act, which mandates transparency in government operations.
Azoria Capital argues that the lack of transparency in FOMC meetings undermines public accountability and creates a competitive disadvantage for firms like itself that do not have real-time access to the deliberations.
The lawsuit specifically seeks a temporary restraining order to compel the FOMC to open its meetings to the public, starting with the upcoming session scheduled for July 29-30, where decisions on interest rates are expected to be made. Azoria Capital, led by CEO James Fishback, who has ties to the Trump administration, claims that the Fed’s current practices are politically motivated and detrimental to the American economy.
This legal challenge adds to the pressure on Powell and the Fed, especially as President Trump is also scrutinizing the central bank’s activities.
The situation highlights the ongoing debate over the transparency and independence of the Federal Reserve in its monetary policy decisions.

“THE CONSOLIDATION OF MANKIND: How Do We Revolt?”
Michael T. Flynn LTG USA (RET), Jul 28, 2025
ENTIRE ARTICLE: “The world has been growing deeper connected for a while now. People have been consolidating families into tribes or clans, then into societies, countries and so on.
Eventually, the people of the world became directly connected and governments couldn’t control individuals through filtered information, education or messages. The people within countries became communicative without any third-party involvement and they did it anonymously without fear. Soon, influential people of isolated countries lowered their guard and commerce began.
By means of commerce, communities increased connectivity without interference and the influential people of the world civilization became consolidated. As the need for physical interaction decreased, civilization expanded via cyber-space. Cyber-families or cells formed, and became cyber-clans, forming separate but integrated cyber-cell-clan-societies and cultures.
This evolution has benefited the influential people of the world because now, instead of trying to isolate information, education and messaging within each country (to control people); now they can track all communications between all people for research.
With this research comes a global theme and message campaign that is tailor-made for each cyber-clan within the global cyber-civilization. Now…they will finance the next leg of the journey with corporate sponsored global communism wrapped with a bow and marked “Conscious Capitalism.”
The themes for the next 60 years in America will be: “Do your part,” “Feel better about yourself through charity,” “YOU CAN make a difference,” and “Pay it forward for peace and end hunger.” All of it will sound like a religion for “real people” that do truly care for others.
America’s natural overwhelming susceptibility is GUILT. Influencers will turn guilt into action for charity, so workers happily accept less. Funding gets consolidated and then dispersed by those in authoritarian positions, corporations become more powerful, and the people love the idea.
This play creates a massive expansion of private power. Those who aren’t producing something to buy or contributing “feel good money” will be neutralized, housed or otherwise controlled and stripped of a voice.
How do we revolt? Go back to the beginning…Build your family and teach self-reliance for all things a physical body needs. Families become tribes or clans, then societies and so on until the physical world is bold again. Not doing so will lead to one very rich King (CEO) that will own and run the world with a private modern drone UAV army.
Can you name any first-world country whose citizens are self-reliant? Why and what’s next?
How many third-world countries are becoming modernized through military force? Why and what’s next?
Whose military is providing the firepower? Why and what’s next?
How and who is financing the firepower? Why and what’s next?
Has any war lately netted anything other than modernization for an “outcast rouge country”? Why and what’s next?
Fight back through quietly teaching self-reliance or take bets on who the King will be.”

EXCERPT: “Battleground Pennsylvania appears to have thousands of “shady” voter registrations on its rolls, according to a review by an election integrity watchdog. And Pennsylvania’s problems speak to a wider issue of dirty voter files, the reluctance of state elections officials to clean them up, and what that all means for the principle of free and fair elections.
The Public Interest Legal Foundation (PILF) on Thursday said it sent a formal letter to Pennsylvania Secretary of State Al Schmidt detailing “alarming findings” from its review of the Keystone State’s voter files.
PILF Research Director Logan Churchwell said the examination found more than 19,000 potential interstate duplicate registrations, thousands of same-address duplicates, and hundreds of records with placeholder and fake dates of birth.
“The Pennsylvania voter roll is riddled with errors that undermine the integrity of the election process,” said PILF President J. Christian Adams in a press release. “Our findings in Pennsylvania are consistent with patterns we have exposed in other states like Maine and New Jersey.”
As of this summer, Pennsylvania’s voter rolls contained 19,489 registrants with matched voter registration files in second states, according to the watchdog’s review. Nearly 10,000 of those duplicates came from Florida, another 5,700 were from New York, and 2,400-plus in California. The review also included matches in New Jersey, North Carolina, Ohio and Maine.
“The Foundation’s relational database was designed to house voter registration rolls from every state to run comparative analytics,” Churchwell wrote in the letter to Schmidt. Copied on the letter are Harmeet Dhillon, U.S. assistant attorney general for the Civil Rights Division, and Maureen Riordan, acting voting section chief at the U.S. Department of Justice.
Churchwell said the tracking process uses secondary or mailing address data stored by the state of Pennsylvania to follow the registrant to a second address to check for a matching registration. The process is then reversed by “checking other states’ mailing address data, which lead to addresses in Pennsylvania. A registrant is flagged if names and birthdates perfectly match. “
The foundation’s review found 3,170 instances of duplicate registrants where variations in name spelling or nicknames have uncovered duplications at the same residential addresses. PILF’s review also captured a sample of 79 intercounty duplicates.
And the foundation’s latest tally finds at least 321 registrants flagged for having placeholder or false dates of birth…..”

Just The News: “President Trump on Monday shortened the timeline for Russian President Vladimir Putin to agree to a ceasefire with Ukraine, moving it up to early August instead of early September as Russia continues its attacks.
On July 14, Trump said that he would slap Russia with additional sanctions and tariffs if it did not stop fighting in Ukraine within 50 days, making the deadline Sept. 2, The Hill news outlet reported.
He also indicated at the time that he would impose a 100% “secondary” tariff that would target nations that do business with Russia.
“We thought we had that settled numerous times and then President Putin goes out and starts launching rockets into some city like Kyiv and kills a lot of people in a nursing home or whatever,” Trump said as he stood alongside UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer at a press conference in Turnberry, Scotland.
“You have bodies lying all over the street. And I say that’s not the way to do it. So we’ll see what happens with that,” he added. “I’m very disappointed. I’m disappointed in President Putin. I’m going to reduce that 50 days I gave him to a lesser number because I think I already know the answer what’s going to happen.”
Later, during a sit-down conversation with Starmer, Trump said that the timeline to start sanctions would be moved to “about 10 or 12 days from today,” adding, “We just don’t see any progress being made.”

“Trump could pull up to 30% of US troops currently in Europe: There have been repeated calls out of D.C. for Europe to step up and cover more of its own security”
ReMIX News Staff, July 38, 2025
President Donald Trump speaks during a meeting with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte in the Oval Office of the White House, Monday, July 14, 2025, in Washington. (AP Photo/Evan Vucci)
ENTIRE ARTICLE: “In line with its review of all troops stationed around the world, the U.S. could cut 30 percent of forces in Europe, according to sources close to the Pentagon cited by Politico. The Do Rzeczy news portal asks what this will mean for Poland. President Trump has already announced his intention to seriously revamp America’s military strategy and presence, with final conclusions from the Global Posture Review expected this September.
Reasons given have included the need to focus on new initiatives, budgetary concerns, and tensions in the Indo-Pacific region. New priorities are a big turnaround from the U.S.’s previous commitment to Ukraine, and on the chopping block are some 20,000 troops who deployed to the continent after that war began.
Between 90,000 and 100,000 U.S. troops are currently stationed across Europe, with the largest contingent (35,000 troops) in Germany, home to the Ramstein Air Base, the center for U.S. air operations and satellite communications, and Grafenwöhr, the largest U.S. training ground outside of Poland.
But given the size of the reduction cited, American forces in the CEE could also be sent home or elsewhere.
Back in April, there were concerns regarding possible U.S. troop relocation in Poland, specifically from the base in Jasionka, which serves as the epicenter from which all transports are sent to Ukraine. Now, it seems even more likely that Trump may want to shift focus from the war there. The timing could not be worse for those who believe Putin is looking to potentially attack inside NATO territory.
There is, however, also the concern from the U.S., specifically Trump’s circle, that European countries must up their own military capabilities and spending.
Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth has said, “The United States cannot be the long-term guarantor of the entire continent’s security,” as he calls on European allies to increase defense budgets and expand their armed forces within NATO.”

“Muslim migrant’s demand for female-only care for wife at Salzburg hospital rejected, sparking complaint — The hospital rejected his complaint, insisting public institutions cannot guarantee gender-specific treatment”
ReMIX, Thomas Brooke, July 28, 2025
ENTIRE ARTICLE: “A hospital in the Austrian city of Salzburg has rejected a demand made by a foreign-born Muslim man who insisted that his wife be treated exclusively by female doctors and nurses. The man, described as a migrant with limited German proficiency, claims that his wife’s request for female-only care at the Salzburg North State Hospital (CDK) was ignored, amounting to what he called discrimination and a violation of human dignity.
The man filed a formal complaint, excerpts of which were seen and published by the Austrian news outlet Krone. The complaint, submitted to the Salzburg patient advocacy office, includes a detailed letter in which the man demands a written apology from the hospital and official recognition that such requests for gender-specific treatment are “legally permissible and binding.” He argues that denying his wife’s request on religious and cultural grounds breached Austrian law.
“Despite my repeated requests that my wife may only be treated by women for religious reasons, this was refused,” the complaint read.
“I consider this a violation of human rights and a great disrespect to our culture and religion. I repeatedly emphasized that my wife expressly requests to be treated only by female staff, especially during intimate or gynecological examinations. I demand a written apology as well as confirmation that this request is legally permissible and will be respected in the future.”
The hospital, in its official written response, firmly denies any wrongdoing. “Medical and nursing care is provided by male and/or female staff, depending on the shift schedule. A free choice of doctor is neither provided for nor possible in a public hospital,” the response states. It further emphasizes that the complainant’s interpretation of legal rights is flawed, adding: “Under no circumstances do these justify discriminating against our employees on the basis of gender.”
Hospital spokesperson Wolfgang Fürweger confirmed the existence of the complaint to the Krone but declined to comment further, citing the ongoing nature of the investigation.
“No, there is no legal basis for that,” said legal expert Gerhard Jelinek to the news outlet when asked whether patients have the right to choose a doctor based on gender in Austria’s public health system. The complaint remains under review.”

Trump really pisses me off when he spouts off against Russia! He is totally ignoring the origins of this fucked up situation with THE most corrupt country on the planet: Ukraine! I was ALL at the hands of Killary and Victory Nuland with the origins in the Maidan Revolution in 2013/2014!!!!

Just The News: “A federal judge on Monday blocked a provision in the Republicans’ “One Big Beautiful Bill” that barred Medicaid reimbursements from going to Planned Parenthood.
U.S. District Judge Indira Talwani in Boston issued a preliminary injunction, saying it was likely unconstitutional to specifically target Planned Parenthood’s health centers for punishment for providing abortions.”

“A Big Apple rally in support of on-his-way-out “Late Show” host Stephen Colbert drew fewer than two dozen people Sunday — with even the NYPD cops on scene quickly calling it a day since most of the demonstrators left after just a few minutes.
Organizers said the “We’re With Colbert” gathering outside the CBS Broadcast Center on Manhattan’s West Side said it was meant to be part of a nationwide call for “integrity.” Is this what they call ‘integrity?
Colbert has been among the top talk-show hosts who routinely roast Trump. “This is a First Amendment attack,” a protester who refused to give her name said of the closing-down of the show. “We can’t stand for that.”

“President Donald Trump and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen announced a trade deal between the U.S. and European Union on Sunday. The announcement came moments after the two had addressed the media, agreeing that the likelihood of an agreement was about 50-50. Von der Leyen said the negotiations had taken some “heavy lifting,” but the two leaders agreed they were happy with the result.
“We are agreeing that the tariff straight across for automobiles and everything else will be a straight-across tariff of 15%,” Trump said. Von der Leyen said Europe will also purchase $150 billion worth of U.S. energy as part of the deal, in addition to making $600 billion in other investments into the U.S.”

“Jay Leno is taking aim at modern late-night comedy shows, claiming the hosts are isolating half their viewers in an interview released just days after Stephen Colbert got the boot from CBS.
There was an analysis done of his work on ‘The Tonight Show’ for the 22 years and it found that his jokes were roughly equally balanced between going after Republicans and taking aim at Democrats. Did he have a strategy?’
‘I got hate letters saying, ‘You and your Republican friends,’ and another saying, ‘I hope you and your Democratic buddies are happy’ – over the same joke,’ Leno said. ‘That’s how you get a whole audience. Now you have to be content with half the audience, because you have to give your opinion.’
‘Rodney Dangerfield and I were friends,’ Continued Leno. ‘I knew Rodney 40 years and I have no idea if he was a Democrat or Republican. We never discussed politics, we just discussed jokes.'”

Huh….I didn’t know the VA was going to send me iron pills so I picked some up @ WM last week since the blood work showed I was low. When I saw the package in the mail, I was hoping it was water pills to help with the excess fluid. But I’ve got some ordered from Amazon that will be here on Wednesday anyway. I’ll finish up the iron pills I bought then I’ll have the VA ones when they’re gone. Since the VA Community Care team has bankers’ hours – 8:30 – 11:00 & 12:30 – 2:30, I’ll call tomorrow and hopefully be able to schedule the cardiogram….smh. Maybe I’ll actually be able to get thru instead of stuck in a cue behind 30 calls ahead of mine….

IKR??? Insane! And I have to call BOTH places – the Norfolk VA to get them to change the order to allow me to get the scan in Norfolk vs. the Omaha VA, and then the Community Care again to actually schedule it!!! Beyond ridiculous!!!

“According to ABC News, two prominent Democrats are stepping away from a national bipartisan organization that brings together the chief executives of all 50 states, citing a lack of pushback to Trump administration policies and to some recent threats to state funding and operations.
Kansas Gov. Laura Kelly, the chair of the Democratic Governors Association (DGA), will be leaving the National Governors Association (NGA) at the end of the month, a source familiar with her thinking told ABC News. She will actively step back from the organization, not only by not paying dues but also by withdrawing from promoting or taking part in any NGA-associated work, the source said.
Minnesota Gov. Tim ‘Tampon’ Walz, the former DGA chair, is also cutting ties with the NGA and will stop paying dues to the organization next year as he is “reassessing” his membership. That’s the way to man up, Timmy.
There is no problem so big that you can’t run away from instead of staying and trying to fix it, right? Thank fuckin’ God this guy isn’t living in Blair House right now. I can’t even imagine. Yeesh…”
