It’s picnic season again and I went in search of some new and clever picnic hacks. I found these tips at The Cottage Market website.
Shower Curtain

Buy a cheap plastic shower curtain – this is about to be your favorite picnic hack. There’s nothing worse than picking a spot, laying your blanket down, and once you sit down…you realize it’s actually wet. You can skip experiencing ruined pants by putting the plastic shower curtain under the blanket.
Hawaiian Roll Mini Sandwiches

Mini Sandwiches are a Picnic-Perfect Food!
If you don’t already know the delicious glory of Hawaiian rolls, I urge you to try some. They are perfect for any kind of slider or mini sandwich you can think of. They’re absolutely perfect to take camping with you. Take your entire flat of Hawaiian rolls out of the package – try to take it out in one solid piece. Using a bread knife, cut your sheet of rolls into 2 pieces – the tops and the bottoms. Just like you’d cut a cake into two layers. Set your tops aside. Add condiments to the rolls if you want any. Put on the fillings of your choosing. Put the top layer onto the bottom half and cut the sandwiches apart on their natural edges. Then slide the sheet of sandwiches back into the package the rolls came in. Once you get to your picnic, just pull out what you need.
Salads in a Cup
Don’t fuss with a whole bowl of salad and dressing on the side. That can take up so much room. Cut down on space by making individual salads in plastic cups with lids. If you want to add dressing before the picnic (rather than at the picnic), put the salad dressing in the bottom of each cup. Add all of your veggies next, and finally any toppings such as seeds or croutons. Cut the cover on, and it’s ready to go!
Egg Carton Treats

A real tasty treat to bring on your picnic, are chocolate filled strawberries. Cut the top off the berry, cut out some of the middle, and fill with melted chocolate. The perfect place to set them while they’re setting up is in an egg carton. That egg carton will be perfect inside the cooler and will ensure your sweet berries stand up straight and nothing squishes them.
Muffin Tins
This is so useful if you’re sitting on the ground. Finding a level place to set down cups can be a real challenge. Thankfully, you won’t have to worry about that with this picnic hack! Use the muffin tin for a cup holder in the middle of the blanket, so everyone can use it.
Homemade Bee & Ant Spray

Homemade ant spray is so easy to make! It’s only two ingredients – water and peppermint essential oil. In a spray bottle, fill it 2/3 of the way full of water. Add 12 – 15 drops of the peppermint. Shake and viola! Once you’ve laid down your blanket, mist around the edges.
Also – back along some fabric softener sheets to keep the bees away. Stick one under each edge of your picnic blanket. You’ll be able to eat in peace without the fear of anyone getting stung.

Good morning, Pat and Filly!
Love the great picnic tips!
Weather here 40-80% chance of thunderstorms – high 89 – heat index 100.
We had a whopping thunderstorm again last evening just before dark and they predict the storms will be earlier today.
This week, I made beefy soup stock with oven browned meaty soup bones. It’s a lot of work, but I added some of it to some vegetable soup that needed more meat. I had 4 quarts left to freeze for future soups. I love vegetable soup, even in the Summer, because it’s a quick way to get a healthy meal when I’m busy with house or yard. For vegetable soup I put parsley, spinach, green beans, red potatoes, okra, butter beans, peas, carrots, corn, celery, and tomatoes in the broth. This time, I didn’t have a can of diced tomatoes to add to the soup, so I put cherry tomatoes and a few chunks of celery in the blender and then added them to the soup and then added some of the meat and a cup of home made beef broth – it made the flavor so good! I look forward to my dose of vegetable soup each day.
There is lots of stuff to do here due to bringing my and Sally’s stuff back here to go through. My house needs to be cleaned out, cleaned up and organized. Outside the weeds are growing rampantly due to so much rain. Everything was neglected due to all the travel and intensive Sally care needs…and my procrastination. Wish I had done it long ago – because now it’s harder due to age.

Morning GA!
Take care in the storms!!
glad you are back home and are taking care of you! Hubby loves soup–could eat it every day–and all different kinds. I like chicken noodle and vegetable…that’s it…lol
I know what you mean about cleaning stuff out. When my mother in law passed away, we brought a bin full of her paperwork and it’s STILL in the basement. sigh. We can safely burn most of it now–she’s been gone 12 years–except for things the “family historian” might want, so we still have to sort it all out. that’s a winter project…LOL

I still have a couple of bins of my A-Mom’s paperwork, including her tax returns. That will all be dumped in the trash when my Sis comes up in September and we go thru my storage cabinets in the garage. I intend to empty them out once and for all….but I just don’t know what to do with all her platinum-rimmed china and silverware. It’s not rare enough to be worth trying to sell on Ebay or some other on-line site but no-one wants dinnerware that can’t go in the dishwasher these days. The era of big, fancy family dinners is over.

it is sadly.
it’s a shame there aren’t any places that would buy them from you. in the little dollar saver publication, there’s always ads for people looking for that kind of stuff. may not be top dollar, but a few bucks.

No, I already checked into that – I was able to sell her silver plate serving trays/dishes/etc. but no-one wants china that can’t go in the dishwasher.

There was a built-in dishwasher here when I bought the place but after a few years, it started working off & on and since it was just me, I never used it. I finally just unplugged it and there it sits – most of the time, I forget it’s even there!

when i met hubby, he had a portable one–remember those? I told him to get rid of it when we got married. I didn’t want one–I enjoy washing the dishes…it’s very relaxing after a meal.

Yep – we had one when I was growing up. We would roll it over to the sink and connect the hose to the faucet, plug it in and let ‘er rip. LOL – but NEVER with the fine china used for the holiday meals!!!! That and the crystal water glasses/wine glasses all had to be done by hand.

Good morning, GA! Ah, yes – hindsight is, indeed, 20/20! But you were Sally’s angel and I can guarantee you wouldn’t change that!
Same here with the storms but I don’t see anything knocked down, just a lot of water in the jelly feeder, which I was able to pour off, leaving the jelly underneath. More rain possible the next couple of days but MUCH cooler temps, thankfully – but it creeps back up next week into the 90’s again.
Wheezer was waiting, of course, and I heard some congestion in his chest….could be FIL (feline infectious leukemia), which is quite common in strays. That would explain his inability to gain weight. It will eventually take his life but it is VERY expensive to treat. My daughter rescued a stray – the original Jake – she spent a lot of $$$ on him – he lived for a good 10 years but I can’t afford that even if I were to try to turn Wheezer into a house cat.

Morning All! 60* here and hazy susnhine even though the temps aren’t really warm. Boy did I get a scolding…lol. I took the jelly feeder out and a female grosbeak sat on the corner of the railing and didn’t move–just scolded me! Guess I didn’t have it out early enough for her…lol

The FBI investigation codenamed “Arctic Frost” has been officially referred to FBI Director Kash Patel and Attorney General Pam Bondi for criminal investigation and prosecution.
Senators Chuck Grassley and Ron Johnson, citing whistleblower information, have confirmed a criminal conspiracy involving the Biden White House, the FBI’s Washington Field Office, prosecutors from the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Washington, D.C., and Special Prosecutor Jack Smith. This alleged conspiracy aimed to plan, approve, and execute “Arctic Frost” with the intent to frame, arrest, prosecute, and imprison Donald J. Trump, thereby attempting to undermine the constitutional republic of the United States.
The “Arctic Frost” operation served as the foundation for Special Prosecutor Jack Smith’s false elector case, in which President Donald Trump was charged with conspiracy to defraud the United States over his campaign’s efforts to assemble alternate slates of electors—actions portrayed as an attempt to overthrow the U.S. government during the 2020 election.
In a statement, Senators Chuck Grassley and Ron Johnson said: “We have obtained additional Department of Justice (DOJ) and Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) communications through legally protected whistleblower disclosures that show a conspiracy among anti-Trump FBI agents and prosecutors in setting up and advancing the Arctic Frost investigation. As we have explained in our previous correspondence, Arctic Frost was the codename for the investigation which ultimately became Jack Smith’s elector case against President Donald Trump.”

the chynese exploit our stupidity at every turn–for their profit.
The Enemy Within: The Billion Dollar Chinese Grow House Industry
By Janet Levy
It’s a billion-dollar industry, illegal and controlled by Chinese mafia networks in quiet rural and suburban neighborhoods across America. If that weren’t concerning enough, it also involves drugs, money laundering, illegal immigration, slave labor, and the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) extensive influence in the American heartland. It includes illegal marijuana cultivation in states where the drug has been legalized, and a major FBI bust of a grow house network in New England has shocked the nation with details of the massive scale of marijuana production used to generate profits routed back to China.
On July 8, seven Chinese nationals were indicted for conspiracy to produce and distribute illegal marijuana through a network of grow houses in Massachusetts and Maine. They were also charged with money laundering and smuggling illegal aliens for cheap labor at the grow operations. U.S. Attorney for Massachusetts Leah B. Foley described the network as a “sprawling criminal enterprise that exploited our immigration system,” built “a multi-million-dollar black market operation off the backs of an illegal workforce,” and turned “quiet homes across the Northeast into hubs for a criminal enterprise.”
This bust was part of Operation Take Back America, President Donald J. Trump’s multi-agency effort to dismantle cartels and transnational crime groups, disrupt drug and human trafficking, and end illegal immigration. However, networks like the one busted in the Northeast began forming from 2012 onward, when many states started legalizing marijuana for recreational use.
Besides Massachusetts and Maine, Chinese grow house networks operate in California, New Mexico, Colorado, Nevada, Oregon, Oklahoma, and Washington. They are especially active in states where land is cheap and plentiful: in Oklahoma, for example, ProPublica reports that regulators say the illegal marijuana business ranks only behind the oil and gas industry, which in 2023 contributed $21 billion to the state’s GDP.
Donnie Anderson, director of Oklahoma’s Bureau of Narcotics, confidently describes it as a billion-dollar industry. Most estimates of illegal marijuana sales across different states reach into the billions of dollars, and a 2021 Forbes report cited experts estimating total illicit cannabis sales in America at $100 billion annually, a figure that has likely been exceeded.
Anderson also examines the links between these cartels and the Chinese government. News On 6 quotes him saying: “They are very much aware of what’s going on in the U.S. with Chinese nationals. There are people in Oklahoma who have direct ties to the Chinese government. I know people don’t like to hear that, but it’s a fact, and our people need to know that. This is a communist country. I’m telling you, they have a stranglehold on us, they know what’s going on, and we’re letting it happen.” He states that intelligence indicates these criminals may also be involved in acts of terror, espionage, and sex trafficking of children.
The advantage these cartels have in states where marijuana is legal is the low risk involved. If a grow house gets raided by police, criminals can claim in court that they are applying for licenses for legal cultivation. Many states have adopted “restorative justice and harm reduction policies” that are gentle on both drug users and dealers. They are often arrested, fined $2,000, and then released. Frequently, they relocate and start over. Properties have ghost owners, regulations are ignored, cheap labor is smuggled in from China and forced to work under harsh conditions.
New England, especially Massachusetts and Maine, has experienced a rise in illegal marijuana cultivation by Chinese gangs since legalization in 2016. Maine has begun to overlook these illegal growers. The state’s director of the Office of Cannabis Policy, John Hudak, has even acknowledged that his agency has issued licenses to people suspected of ties to foreign criminal gangs, but his hands are tied. Besides grow houses, the cartels are involved in money laundering and prostitution. Democrat governments and legislatures in these states have tolerated their operations.
Grow houses vary by region. In New England, gangs often choose single-family homes in suburbs and upgrade rooms with drip irrigation, lighting, and heating to cultivate marijuana. In states like New Mexico and Oklahoma, where land is abundant and neighbors are miles away, large greenhouse complexes are built on ranch-sized property. The frames and equipment, including fans for cooling plants in the warmer southern states, are often shipped from China. The grow houses steal electricity to cut costs and avoid sudden bill increases that might attract authorities.
California, which produces 40% of the nation’s marijuana and is renowned for its weed as much as for almonds and wines, functions as a hub for high-yield grow houses. The Antioch area has gained a reputation for indoor cultivation, often in houses located in unsuspecting neighborhoods. In Oklahoma, Chinese investors have paid up to four times the market rate to purchase hundreds of acres of farmland for large-scale marijuana cultivation in barns, sheds, and greenhouses. These properties are easy to spot because they typically have fencing, guard dogs, and air conditioning in barn-like structures. At one point, authorities were raiding and shutting down about 15 such operations every day. Fake Amazon vans and parcels are frequently used to smuggle the illegal product.
Grow houses have also been found using banned pesticides and fungicides that are highly toxic to humans, animals, and the environment. Some of these substances are even banned in China. Yet, investigators determined they were smuggled in from there: initially brought to California and then distributed to grow houses in Oregon, Oklahoma, Massachusetts, Maine, and New York. After harvest, the remnants of the contaminated crops are dumped or buried around these properties. Agents have reported symptoms such as burning eyes, bloody noses, skin irritation, headaches, and dizziness during inspections of grow houses. In one California case, a specialized WMD detection team from the National Guard was brought in to analyze samples from a grow site. They found ten highly toxic chemicals, one with a half-life of 14 years.
Officially, China has a strict no-tolerance policy on drugs. However, criminal organizations maintain connections with the CCP and its officials, engaging in covert activities such as espionage, money laundering, investments, and generating billions in profits.
Meanwhile, they undermine the culture and corrupt the youth of China’s biggest rival. It would be naive to think these cartels aren’t part of the “unrestricted warfare” strategy to defeat America without direct conflict, using economic, technological, political, and biological/chemical means. In previous columns (linked here, here, and here), this writer has warned about how the strategy of winning without fighting is carried out.
The Trump administration is taking firm steps to defend American culture and freedoms. Its America First Investment Policy recognizes that Chinese investors—and, through them, the CCP—are targeting our farmland, natural resources, infrastructure, and technology. It has tightened rules to limit foreign investments from opponents like China and prevent their access to vital sectors and sensitive technologies. It recently announced the National Farm Security Action Plan, which states that Chinese own over 265,000 acres of American farmland and aims to stop them from buying more.
States are also passing laws to stop Chinese nationals and entities from buying farmland. In 2023, Florida banned the purchase of “real property and strategic assets” within the state. Last year, South Dakota enacted legislation to prevent China and five other countries from buying farmland. Hawaii, Illinois, and Iowa have similar bills in progress.
As Chinese grow house exposés show, we are confronting an enemy that insidiously sneaks in, spreads, and tries to destroy us from within. We cannot let that happen, and we are fortunate to have chosen a president who will stop it.

Just The News: “House Intelligence Committee Chairman Rick Crawford, R-Ark., is confirming that Russia gathered dirt on Hillary Clinton worthy of a hard rock song — including tranquilizers, mood swings and outbursts — but withheld it during the 2016 election in hopes of using it against her if she were elected president.
“The fact is, there was never an association with Russia” and Donald Trump, Crawford said Wednesday on the “Just the News, No Noise” TV show. “What this document shows is that, if anything, they had a preference for a President Hillary Clinton, because they had information on her that they could exploit after the fact.
“They were counting on a President Hillary Clinton, and then they would have her over a barrel because of the information that they had on her,” he added.
A newly-declassified House Intelligence Committee report released Thursday by Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard after years of being locked away at the CIA alleges the December 2016 Intelligence Community Assessment “glossed over” evidence that Putin may have instead favored (or at least fully expected) a Hillary Clinton victory nine years ago.
“The judgment that Putin developed a ‘clear preference’ for candidate Trump and ‘aspired to help his chances of victory’ did not adhere to the tenets of the ICD (Intelligence Community Directive) analytical standards,” the report found.
“The ICA ignored and selectively quoted reliable intelligence reports that challenged and in some cases undermined judgments that Putin sought to elect Trump,” the report added. “The ICA failed to consider plausible alternative explanations of Putin’s intentions indicated by reliable intelligence and observed Russian actions.”
Crawford revealed on the Just the News, No Noise TV show that there will be more information in the coming days.
“There’s more information coming,” he said. “What we have in this document basically shows that, because of a DNC hack, they had information about her personally [such as] her mental state, her health conditions and so on…the use of tranquilizers daily, her mood swings, fits of rage…things of this nature.”
It was reported in 2016 that during the presidential campaign, Hillary had a health scare. She was diagnosed with pneumonia in September 2016 and there were other reports of potential health concerns. “We saw that on display when she was at a campaign stop at Ground Zero late in the campaign where she could barely move herself,” Crawford said. “She was being held up and helped into a van coming away from that particular event, so we saw the evidence of it.”
He added that the document proves that Russia actually preferred Clinton because she was the softer target they could use and manipulate if she were to get into power.
The report’s release comes as FBI Director Kash Patel has opened a criminal conspiracy case alleging the weaponization of intelligence and federal law enforcement between 2016 and 2024 violated federal law and multiple criminal referrals have been sent to the Pam Bondi-led Justice Department.
Crawford said that this report shows the existence of a deep state and how much power they have. “I think it was on January 6, 2017, that’s when things really started to accelerate with regard to what the deep state was engaged in,” he said. “I say deep state because, before I got on the Intelligence Committee, I was not inclined to entertain the notion of this deep state until I saw it for myself.”
“I can tell you that there are people who think that they run the government, and they do it without any accountability and without any election,” Crawford later said. “And they think that they’re the ones that run the show and that just can’t happen.”
Clinton’s team did not immediately respond to a request for comment by press time.”

Just The News: “A federal appeals court on Wednesday ruled that President Donald Trump’s order looking to end birthright citizenship is unconstitutional, upholding a lower court’s decision that blocks the order nationwide despite a Supreme Court ruling on nationwide injunctions.
The ruling from the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals agrees with U.S. District Judge Joseph Laplante’s ruling, which gave class-action status to babies who would be affected by the order.
“The district court correctly concluded that the Executive Order’s proposed interpretation, denying citizenship to many persons born in the United States, is unconstitutional. We fully agree,” the court wrote, per the Associated Press.
The birthright citizenship question is now expected to go back to the Supreme Court, which last month narrowed the scope of prior injunctions against the order, finding that lower courts likely lacked the authority to issue sweeping injunctions.
The Supreme Court in its ruling did not determine whether Trump’s birthright citizenship executive order ran afoul of the citizenship clause of the 14th Amendment.”

Just The News: “The House of Representatives on Wednesday night concluded its floor business in Washington, D.C. for the rest of the summer, despite pushback over the Trump administration’s failure to release files from the Jeffrey Epstein investigation.
Republican House leaders promised to take action on the Epstein files when the chamber returns to Capitol Hill in September if necessary, with House Speaker Mike Johnson stating earlier this week that he did not feel Congress needed to act on the topic immediately because the administration was working to provide more transparency on the issue.
Johnson also pushed back on rhetoric that he was wrapping the chamber a day earlier than initially planned because he was trying to avoid a vote on the Epstein files, stating lawmakers would still be working this week.
“We are fulfilling the calendar,” Johnson told reporters Wednesday. “We’re working, we’ll be working tomorrow, there will have been votes every day this week, we have nine or 10 committees working through markups this week, many tomorrow. Congress is doing its work, no one is adjourning early. We have an August district work period that is very important to the function of Congress that has been recognized for all of memory of this institution, and that is what everyone will be doing,” he added.
House lawmakers are expected to promote the accomplishments they’ve completed during the first six-months of the new term, including passing historic legislation like the “One Big Beautiful Bill,” and will reconvene in D.C. on Sept. 2.
The Senate will also leave for its August recess soon, but the exact date of its break is unclear because of blowback over its failure to confirm key Trump nominees.”

Breaking: I just discovered that former U.S. Education Secretary William Bennett registered this month as a foreign agent for Qatar.
Per the new FARA filings, he’s being paid $30k per month for 7 months to, and I quote, “publicize the fact that Qatari higher education efforts do not support radical Islamicist movements or positions….”
His efforts are to include op-eds, TV interviews, and meetings with elected officials.
The Qataris are working overtime to shield their role in shaping and radicalizing young American minds. We must be ready to fight back.

Well now….my friend, Perry, from the VA just called – my blood work shows a possibility of congestive heart failure, which would explain the excess fluid/swelling….so I have to schedule an echo cardiogram w/the Norfolk hospital early next week. Frankly, given my 99% sedentary life style….I guess I shouldn’t be surprised – my heart never gets a workout and I can see where it would be weak given those circumstances. So….we shall see….but a definite change in my lifestyle is in store fer sure!

Just The News: “House Republicans are expected to create a long-awaited select subcommittee that will investigate the January 6, 2021, Capitol riot when lawmakers return from the August recess in September, sources told The Hill on Wednesday.
Georgia GOP Rep. Barry Loudermilk will lead the new select committee, which is expected to focus specifically on the riot and will be part of the House Judiciary Committee. Loudermilk also led the previous investigation into the Democratic-led select committee in the last Congress.
House Speaker Mike Johnson first announced plans to establish the new committee in January, promising to deliver answers for Americans that were overlooked by Democrats on the initial panel.
The plans come after House Republicans filed a resolution on Wednesday to create the subcommittee. It had been delayed over questions on how it would be funded and what it would be authorized to investigate, the outlet reported.
“House Republicans are proud of our work so far in exposing the false narratives peddled by the politically motivated January 6 Select Committee during the 117th Congress, but there is clearly more work to be done,” Johnson told the outlet. “The resolution introduced today will establish this Select Subcommittee so we can continue our efforts to uncover the full truth that is owed to the American people. House Republicans remain intent on delivering the answers that House Democrats skipped over.”
A final vote on the creation of the panel is expected to take place in September, and all eight members will need to be approved by Johnson. The panel will include three Democrats.”

And another case of a “summer break!” What bull shit!!!
Just The News: “The Supreme Court on Wednesday ruled in an emergency appeal that President Donald Trump can remove three Democrat members of the Consumer Product Safety Commission, who were dismissed by Trump but reinstated by a judge.
The six conservative justices agreed with the Justice Department that the commission is under the president’s control as the leader of the executive branch and that the president does not need cause to dismiss commissioners. All three liberal justices dissented.
U.S. District Judge Matthew Maddox in Baltimore ruled last month that the removals were unlawful. The commission helps protect consumers from dangerous products by issuing recalls and suing companies, the Associated Press reported.
The ruling comes after the Supreme Court previously allowed Trump to fire members of the National Labor Relations Board and the Merit Systems Protection Board on the same premise, that the boards fall under his control.
The Supreme Court is currently on its annual summer break, though can weigh in on emergency orders, and will return to a full schedule in October.”

Just The News: “Texas GOP Rep. Keith Self on Wednesday introduced a legislative package that seeks to codify four of President Donald Trump’s recent executive orders, including three related to education.
The four bills advance Trump’s “America First” policy agenda by codifying his actions related to school discipline policies, safety of biological research, restoring public service student loan forgiveness and changing the way American history is taught in schools to promote foundational principles.
“These executive orders by President Trump reflect commonsense governance and clear priorities. Now more than ever, public accountability, educational integrity, and national security are vital,” Self said in a statement. “To preserve the integrity of these accomplishments, we must protect them from being reversed by the radical left and cement these wins into law.
“Each of these executive orders was designed to correct imbalances, protect taxpayer interests, and restore public trust,” he added. “We cannot waste the opportunity to make them permanent.”
Trump signed the executive orders related to American history and public service student loans in March, the school discipline order in April and the biological research order in May.”

Just The News: “French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife Brigitte Macron on Wednesday filed a defamation lawsuit against conservative podcast host Candace Owens, after she claimed France’s first lady was actually born a man. The 22-count lawsuit, filed in Delaware, does not specify a damages amount, but comes after Owens reportedly claimed Brigitte Macron was born male, stole someone’s identity and transitioned to a woman. The Macrons have strongly denied the accusations and demanded Owens retract the statements, which were reportedly denied.
The couple said they decided to take legal action after Owens doubled down on the accusations, which they claimed were “outlandish, defamatory, and far-fetched fictions.” The comments were part of Owens’ eight-part series on the couple. “These claims are demonstrably false, and Owens knew they were false when she published them,” the lawsuit states. “Yet, she published them anyway. And the reason is clear: it is not the pursuit of truth, but the pursuit of fame.”
Owens’ legal team slammed the lawsuit, stating it attacked the host’s “First Amendment Rights.” Owens has also dismissed the lawsuit as a publicity stunt and defended her right to make the claim, per CBS News.
“Candace Owens is not shutting up,” a spokesperson for Owens said. “This is a foreign government attacking the First Amendment rights of an American independent journalist. Candace repeatedly requested an interview with Brigitte Macron. Instead of offering a comment, Brigitte is resorting to trying to bully a reporter into submission. In France, politicians can bully journalists, but this is not France. It’s America.”
Owens also claimed that Brigitte Macron is trying to smear her with the lawsuit by attributing quotes to her that she “never said.”
Owens began peddling the theories in 2024 while working for the Daily Wire. She continued to push the theories in an independent podcast titled “Candace,” in June, the lawsuit claims.”

Just The News: “New York ended four years of litigation by Christian wedding photographer Emilee Carpenter by paying her $225,000 in legal fees and promising not to enforce several laws that infringe Carpenter’s First Amendment rights, leaving her free to avoid photographing same-sex weddings.
The consent decree between Attorney General Letitia James and Carpenter’s lawyers at the Alliance Defending Freedom follows a May ruling by U.S. District Judge Frank Geraci, nominated by President Obama, that it was “beyond debate” the Empire State cannot apply public accommodations laws to “expressive activity to compel speech.”
The 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals sent the case back to trial court after the Supreme Court struck down Colorado’s public accommodations law as applied to creative professionals such as website designer Lorie Smith and her 303 Creative, who also refused same-sex wedding clients. Colorado later paid Smith $1.5 million in legal fees.
Geraci issued a “narrow” preliminary injunction stopping the state from “peculiarly” doing this to Carpenter specifically.
James’ office agreed in the consent decree to not use New York’s accommodations, discrimination and publication clauses to force Carpenter and her business to offer the same engagement and wedding photography packages to same-sex couples they offer heterosexual couples.
It also won’t use them to prevent Carpenter and her business from “adopting their desired Beliefs and Practices policy,” posting and advertising that policy, or asking prospective clients “questions sufficient to determine” if they want same-sex services.
“New Yorkers can now enjoy the freedom to create and express themselves, a freedom that protects all Americans regardless of their views,” ADF senior counsel Bryan Neihart said.”

“Fox News Posts Former Biden Deep State Spokesman’s “Debunking” of Tulsi Gabbard’s Bombshells: It’s been a long time since I trusted Fox News. That trust is never coming back.” [NF: I agree – they cannot be trusted!]
JD Rucker, Jul 24, 2025
ENTIRE ARTICLE: “Fox News, owned by the anti-Trump Murdoch family, spotlighted an article on Thursday by Ned Price. It was intended to debunk the bombshell reports being dropped by DNI Tulsi Gabbard regarding the Obama regime’s involvement in the Russiagate conspiracy.
Price is the former spokesman for Joe Biden’s State Department, a role he took after his career as a CIA officer. Those facts alone should ring alarm bells about the veracity of his op-ed. Many members of the Biden administration have been named in Gabbard’s drops, and while Price is not among them, he has worked closely with them as a “Deep State Spokesman” for many years.
What makes it worse is that the article is a pure propaganda piece. It’s not a straight-up op-ed that expresses Price’s views about Gabbard’s motivations or integrity. It’s a carefully written smear that states as “facts” what are clearly ambiguous and easily debunkable pieces of disinformation.
For example, the first “big” piece of “evidence” that Barack Obama was not involved in the plot to subvert the Trump administration is that he congratulated President Trump after the election. Wow. Definitive.
He then applies the demonstrably effective CIA propaganda techniques of framing Gabbard’s claims as “not substantiated” and “sleight of hand” and “conflating” terms. In tradecraft circles, this is dropping a rhetorical smoke grenade. They don’t deny the report. They deny the interpretation of the report in hopes that the audience never actually reads it. Most won’t.
But those of us who did read it are aware that there is no “sleight of hand” being used. It’s crystal clear based on the facts gathered by the United States Senate oversight investigation that Obama and his senior team knew the Russia interference claims were likely false before releasing them. As a matter of fact, both Price and legacy media are doing the “conflating” by saying Russia “hacked” the 2016 election when the report indicates they were simply sowing chaos, just as they do in every election.
Vladimir Putin appears to have not only prepared for a Hillary Clinton victory, but actually preferred it. Why? Because the report indicates Russia has “dirt” on Clinton and could have used it to influence American foreign policy.
Price then went on to disparage Gabbard’s character. This is the same technique they’ve used in the latter days of her political career when it was clear she was not going to be an obedient Democrat puppet. They wanted her out then and they want her out now. And, of course, Price brought up Jeffrey Epstein. Because… why not?
I asked Grok to test the veracity of Price’s article. Here’s what the AI came up with…
Not bad, Grok.
Here’s the article. It’s exceptionally well-written from a propaganda perspective. Why is Fox News not only posting it but shining a spotlight on it? Because they hate President Trump, they hate Tulsi Gabbard, and they envision an America under permanent Democrat rule.”

EXCERPT: “For first time since 1975, a rescission bill was enacted to cancel approved federal spending. A key part of the effort is to cut the size of government — one of President Trump’s principal initiatives, mainly through the Department of Government Efficiency, initially run by Elon Musk. Who can forget Elon wielding a red chainsaw at the Conservative Political Action Conference, saying, “this is the chainsaw for bureaucracy?” The justification, however, for all this has been vague, confusing the public and eroding support.
Three main philosophical justifications are lurking behind that chainsaw. They often get confused and mushed together, for good reason. Here they are, illustrated by examples mainly from the agency I ran, the U.S. Agency for Global Media, which oversees all the international broadcasters, including the Voice of America. USAGM is a good stand-in for the rest of the government, as a mid-sized agency, easier to understand than most.
Eliminating Waste, Fraud, and Corruption
Musk made this his rallying cry and went no further. Who could object to that?
USAGM has five separate networks, each with their own IT departments, legal departments, public affairs offices, etc. I proposed consolidating it into one organization, under the Voice of America rubric, and keeping all other brand names like Radio Free Europe. Every network head who did not want his fiefdom shrunk objected.
In government, power comes from the size of the entity controlled, not its efficiency. Of course, corrupt government officials, who channel grant money to friends and family, (we had several at USAGM), have an obvious motive to cover it up and lie about it — to say nothing of those in the pay of foreign governments, such as China.
Getting Rid of Programs the President Ran Against
This has nothing to do with efficiency. For example, Donald Trump wants to eliminate DEI offices from the government and its grantees. It doesn’t matter if DEI offices and grants are efficient. To him and the public who voted for him, they are wrong, and he campaigned against it and won.
At USAGM, much hiring followed DEI processes and infiltrated the content of programming. Every week, each network sent me programs they were proud of. One was a talk show, aimed at sub–Saharan Africa, about Black Lives Matter. All participants were advocates for BLM. No critics appeared. The show was broadcast during the summer of 2020, when, after the death of George Floyd, BLM-lead protests often resulted in violence and looting, polarizing opinion in America.
Any Trump supporter would question whether support for BLM is the message we should be sending to that part of world. Clearly, the series is far from the Trump agenda or mandate. Few career officials, however, would willingly eliminate this program or one like it, which fit their — not the president’s — priorities. And, to them, since BLM is clearly a wonderful movement, there is no need for alternate voices.
Eliminating Unconstitutional Administrative State….”

“According to Universetoday.com, this may answer a burning question posed by most people who have watched or read “2001: A Space Odyssey”: that is, why does the computer HAL-9000 sing the song ‘Daisy Bell’ as the astronaut Dave Bowman takes him apart? Well, Stanley Kubrick and Arthur C. Clarke made HAL’s final act in the world this song as a tribute to HAL’s great ancestor, the first IBM computer to ever sing.
In 1962 Arthur C. Clarke, who wrote the novel – and co-wrote the screenplay for the movie – “2001: A Space Odyssey”, visited Bell Labs before putting the finishing touches on the work. There, he was treated to a performance of the song ‘Daisy Bell’ (or, ‘A Bicycle Built for Two’) by the IBM 704 computer. This evidently inspired him to have HAL sing the song as an homage to the programmers of the 704 at Bell Labs, John L. Kelly.

Senator Mike Lee: Let Trump Use Recess Appointments or Clear the Backlog
Sen. Mike Lee blasts Senate leadership for allowing a 135-nominee backlog to stall Trump’s agenda, warning the Deep State is running federal agencies unchecked. He demands either the Senate stay and confirm nominees—or take an official recess so President Trump can use his constitutional power to bypass the gridlock with recess appointments. Lee says at the current pace, confirmations won’t be cleared until April 2026. “You can’t have it both ways,” he warns.

“McDonald’s manager charged with shooting employee’s mom who was punching her in the face”
Not The Bee, Jesse James, July 23, 2025
ENTIRE ARTICLE: “If you’ve worked in the fast-food world, you know that there are lazy people out there who refuse to do even the most basic work. But this takes the cake:
https://news.yahoo.com/news/articles/mcdonalds-manager-allegedly-shot-mom-174457536.html
The teenage employee refused to do their job and was sent home by the manager. Later on, mom showed up at the Golden Arches and got into a pretty serious argument with the manager.
Mom allegedly started beating up the manager in the office and that’s when the manager took out a gun and shot mom in the leg.
Yeah. Or you could raise a decent kid and not get in fistfights with your kid’s boss.
That seems to be the best way to avoid being shot in the office of your local McDonald’s.
Did the McDonald’s manager do anything wrong?”

Judge Blocks New Jersey Democrats from Banning ICE Detention Center
A federal court has foiled plans by New Jersey Democrats to circumvent national immigration enforcement, following a push to end the use of detention centers in the state.
The appeals court ruled that New Jersey’s ban on the use of private immigration detention contracts is unconstitutional, as Fox News reported.
This is a big blow to illegal alien advocates who have been trying to diminish the impact of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in the Garden State.
The court’s decision pertained to a 2021 law signed by New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy, a Democrat.
The rule barred the company CoreCivic from engaging in a contract with ICE.
The contract would have allowed for ICE, which is a subsidiary of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), to operate its Elizabeth Detention Center.
U.S. Circuit Judge Stephanos Bibas, an appointee of President Donald Trump, weighed in, saying:
”Just as states cannot regulate the federal government itself, they cannot regulate private parties in a way that severely undercuts a federal function.”
The judge added that the law “interferes with the federal government’s core power to enforce immigration laws.”

This made me hopeful: VP J D Vance takes aim at the H1B program, lambasting Microsoft for laying off 9,000 workers, and applying for a similar number of H1Bs.
Vance emphasized the administration’s stance on attracting top global talent while prioritizing American workers. “What the president has said, he said very clearly: We want the very best and the brightest to make America their home. We want them to build great companies and so forth. But I don’t want companies to fire 9,000 American workers and then to go and say, ‘We can’t find workers here in America.’ That’s a bullshit story,” Vance asserted.
Go, Vance!

“The Trump/Epstein Timeline”
Clandestine, Jul 24, 2025
“The only people who believe Trump is implicated, are the people who don’t know the Trump/Epstein timeline:
2005: Trump bans Epstein from all Trump properties for hitting on underaged girl.
2006: Epstein arrested in FL after Trump helped victims go after Epstein.
2008: Epstein convicted on minimal charges and 18 month sentence from Bush-appointed judge and let off the hook by Clinton-allied FBI.
2008-2016: Obama and the Dems did absolutely nothing about Epstein. The media didn’t touch it. It was a “conspiracy theory”.
2017: Less than 3 weeks after inauguration, Trump signs EO 13773, targeting “Transnational criminal organizations and preventing criminal trafficking”. It was one of the first things Trump did as POTUS. Trump targeted not just Epstein’s operation, but others like it around the world.
2019: Trump’s DOJ arrests Epstein, seizes his island, throws him in jail for crimes against children.
2020: Trump’s DOJ arrests Maxwell, throws her in jail for crimes against children.
2021-2024: Dems under Biden don’t say a word about Epstein.
Anyone who is spreading that Trump is implicated in crimes related to Epstein, is simply proving they are ignorant to the entire situation and timeline. Trump is not Epstein’s buddy. Trump used the full force of the US government to take Epstein out, shut down his operation, seized his island, and threw his ass and jail.
Trump has been after Epstein for 20 years. After Trump found out the monster that he was, Trump knew what he had to do. Trump is Epstein’s #1 enemy.”

“‘This is Not Right’: A California Woman’s Journey From Administering COVID Vaccines to Fighting for the Vaccine-Injured — Julie Threet started as a hospital volunteer and COVID-19 vaccine advocate in California. But after two doses of the Moderna shot, she was left with multiple health issues. Then her mother died suddenly, after four doses of the COVID-19 vaccine. Today, Threet advocates for the vaccine-injured and their families, and encourages others to speak out at county health board meetings.”
by Michael Nevradakis, Ph.D., July 24, 2025
EXCERPT: “Julie Threet moved to Butte County, California, in 2014, and soon began volunteering at her local hospital, eventually helping set up the COVID-19 vaccination clinic in her area. Today, she has become “public enemy number one,” after suffering injuries and heartache she attributes to the vaccines.
In late 2020, Threet was volunteering at Enloe Health Enloe Medical Center during the rollout of the COVID-19 vaccines. But her life changed after she received the two primary doses of the Moderna COVID-19 shot in January and February of 2021.
Threet experienced minor reactions after the first dose. However, following the second dose, she developed injuries she’s still dealing with today, including tinnitus, microangiopathy, leaky gut, liver damage, fatigue and impaired vision. “If I would not have taken those two shots, I doubt I would be sitting here with these problems,” Threet told The Defender.
In January 2022, Threet resigned from her volunteer position and began advocating for victims of vaccine injuries and their families. She has spoken at dozens of county board meetings and meetings of the California State Board of Pharmacy.
Threet also speaks out on social media and contributes to VAERSAware.com. The site analyzes reports submitted to the U.S. government-run Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS) for inconsistencies and other deficiencies.
As injuries pile up, Threet knows ‘something’s not right’
At Enloe, Threet volunteered as a patient ambassador, where she provided non-medical support to doctors, nurses and patients. She eventually joined the board of directors for the volunteer program and helped with fundraising.
When COVID-19 vaccination began in late 2020, Enloe worked with the Butte County Public Health Department to store and administer the vaccines for the local region and set up a mass vaccination clinic at the county fairgrounds. Threet said she volunteered at the vaccination clinic because she was optimistic the COVID-19 vaccination program would help restore normalcy.
“The job that I really loved was working with the people, in the actual clinic where the shots were being given,” Threet said. “I was seeing everybody in my community of all sizes and shapes and colors come, because we were all in this together.”
In January 2021, Threet received her first dose of the Moderna vaccine as a condition of her volunteer work at Enloe. She said she developed “a big knot” in her left arm that remained for one week. But after Threet’s second dose, in February 2021, she developed brain fog. “This brain fog was so unusual because it wasn’t a senior moment. You’d be sitting here in your room, and it’s almost like you are out of body. It’s so hard to explain, but I knew this is not right,” Threet said.
A CT scan of her brain revealed microangiopathy, or damage to her small blood vessels. Threet said she was “in a state of shock,” but continued to volunteer. Soon, she noticed a growing number of vaccinated people, including nurses, developing injuries following their COVID-19 shots.
Threet said: “I’m working with these young nurses, and they’re talking about their menstrual disruptions. They’re like, ‘I don’t have a period all of a sudden. My period was regular. Why is it not anymore?’ And they’re just generally having these conversations as they’re doing their business and work.”
Threet said some patients, including children, reported abnormal bleeding after vaccination. And a track-and-field athlete from nearby Chico State University had a seizure and collapsed after his vaccination, she said.
“Part of my eyes were looking down at this kid, and part of my eyes were looking at the fairgrounds where we had hundreds of people in line, and they’re still wanting to get their shots, no big deal. And I’m like, ‘something’s not right,’” Threet said.
Sharing concerns made Threet ‘public enemy number one’
In June 2021, Threet began experiencing tinnitus — now a chronic condition for her. It is a “screeching of the ears” unlike anything she had previously experienced. She researched the condition and discovered tinnitus was an adverse event commonly associated with the COVID-19 vaccines. She also found accounts of COVID-19 vaccine recipients who began experiencing menstrual disruption after vaccination.
Threet said the “pivotal movement” was when she discovered How Bad is My Batch?, an online tool that allows the public to search for the number of adverse events associated with each batch of a COVID-19 vaccine…..”

“Perfumes, Lotions Disrupt Body’s Natural Shield Against Toxic Chemicals — New research shows chemicals in personal care products — including the fragrance-free ones — evaporate into the air and quickly disrupt the body’s natural ability to neutralize pollutants as they reach your skin and lungs.”
by Dr. Joseph Mercola, July 23, 2025
Story at a glance:
Nearly 90% of adults in the U.S. use personal care products daily, routinely applying lotions, perfumes, deodorants and aftershaves without a second thought. Most people assume these products simply enhance their scent, moisturize their skin or improve how they feel throughout the day.
However, what few realize is that these everyday items may have unseen effects on your health and immediate surroundings. Once you use these products, their chemical ingredients don’t just stay confined to your skin. They evaporate into the air and interact with the environment around you.
A new study from Penn State reveals that these airborne compounds disrupt a natural chemical shield your body depends on to neutralize harmful pollutants, while also altering the composition of the air you breathe indoors. These findings reveal a largely overlooked aspect of how modern hygiene products influence your personal exposure to pollution.
How personal care products disrupt your chemical pollution shield….”
