What Shall We Make Today?

Today’s offering is also a patriotic picnic favorite—Oreo Balls!

Ingredients

40 Oreo Cookies, regular size

8 oz cream cheese, softened

12 oz white chocolate, broken into pieces

3 oz red colored melting wafers

3 oz blue colored melting wafers

1 oz patriotic sprinkles

Instructions

Line a sheet pan with parchment paper or a silicon liner.

Crush your Oreos in a food processer fitted with a blade attachment until they are a fine texture; about 10 (2-second) pulses.

In a large mixing bowl combine cookie crumbs and cream cheese until well combined. However, if you have a large enough food processor, I highly recommend adding the cream cheese and pulsing with the crushed cookies until just combined and a large clump has formed, a few more (2-second) pulses. It will be thick, slightly sticky, and shiny.

Form the mixture into tablespoon-sized balls (about 36) (roll them in your hands to make them smooth) and place in a single layer on the baking sheet. Refrigerate until very cold and firm, at least 1 hour or place them in the freezer for twenty minutes.

Line a second rimmed baking sheet with parchment or wax paper. Transfer half of the chilled Oreo balls onto it. Keep the rest in the refrigerator to keep them chilled and firm.

Place your white chocolate into a small mixing bowl and melt them in the microwave for 30 second intervals, stirring in between, until the chocolate is melted. Dip the balls into the melted chocolate and pull them out with a fork, while spooning the melted chocolate over the top and sides of the ball. Gently shake the fork up and down to help smooth the chocolate over the ball and for any excess to drip off.

Slide each ball onto the baking sheet and repeat with the remaining Oreo balls. (If the melted chocolate starts to firm up and becomes hard to work with, heat in the microwave for 15 seconds and stir again.)

In small mixing bowls melt the blue and red chocolate just as you did the white. Place the colored chocolates into individual zip top bags, cut the tip off the bottom of the bags and drizzle the chocolates over the balls. Sprinkle with red, white and blue sprinkles. Place them in the fridge to set for 10 minutes.

Break off any excess chocolate and enjoy. Keep stored in the refrigerator.

Enjoy!

    1. Morning, Pat! Those look yummy! Phew! That ordeal is over. She told me this would be one of many blood tests and I promptly informed her NOT here!!! The VA is monitoring me on this ulcer (scheduled for blood tests next month), as is the gastro doctor who did the surgery on the ulcer – no, I will NOT be back here again! She didn’t quite know what to say about that. If they want me to come in here again, they’ll have to send the cops to get me!!!! MF’ers!

When you actually read the Big Beautiful Bill “Cuts to Medicaid” you’ll realize every Democrat and mainstream media outlet is lying through their teeth

No American would ever be against any of this, here are the facts

“Here is just the first page of the cuts:

-Cut number 1, saving $35 billion over 10 years. Limit federal health program eligibility based on citizenship status.

That’s just saying that people who are here illegally don’t get to use Medicaid. It’s something you have told us isn’t happening anyway, so you obviously agree with that cut.

    – Cut number 2, eliminate Medicare coverage of bad debt, saving 42 billion over 10 years. Do you know what bad debt is? You probably don’t, so let me explain it to you.

Bad debt is where you have a debt with a hospital beyond what your coverage pays. So like let’s say you have private health insurance. Now, your health insurance is going to pay their piece and then you have your leftover piece. Now if you don’t pay that, that is what’s known as bad debt. Now under no circumstances will your private health insur cover your bad debt.

However, if you have Medicaid, the American taxpayer will cover up to 65% of that debt. Now, how hospitals use that to their advantage is they up the prices for people on Medicaid, therefore making that bad debt increase dramatically and the American taxpayer pays 65% of it. All this would say is that we’re not going to do that anymore. Therefore hospitals can’t charge more for people on Medicaid because they’re not going to make any extra money from it. Who the is opposed to that?

    – Cut number 3: Next Medicare site neutrality set to save $148 billion over the 10 years. That one’s actually really simple. All that says is the hospitals can’t charge people on Medicare and Medicaid more. It just says they have to charge people on Medicare and Medicaid the same prices they charge people on private health insurance or cash. Is there anyone who’s opposed to that? No, I didn’t think so.

Now, from just those 3, we’re looking at $200 plus billion dollars in savings.

Now, I imagine if I said we’re going to cut $200 billion for Medicaid, y’ all would freak the out. However, when you do a little bit of research, when you actually look into the topic that you’re bitching about, making tiktoks about, you can see that. That $200 billion worth of cuts you agree with, Like, I just showed you one quarter of all the cuts they want to make.

And here’s the thing. If you remotely have f*cking common sense, you don’t disagree with any of them.“

  5. Just The News: “The Supreme Court on Thursday agreed to hear two cases on the banning of males in female student sports. The cases are from West Virginia and Idaho where two transgender students, Becky Pepper-Jackson and Lindsay Hecox, are challenging the respective states’ bans, NBC News reported.

Both students won injunctions, allowing them to continue competing in female sports. Pepper-Jackson, a 15-year-old male high school student, takes puberty-blocking medication, while Hecox, a 24-year-old male college student, has received testosterone suppression and estrogen treatments.

The court will hear oral arguments later this year, after their next session begins in October, and they will be expected to rule by next June. The decision to take up the cases follows the court’s ruling last month that upheld a Tennessee law that bans transgender surgery, puberty blockers, and hormone therapy for minors.”

  6. “AI-Powered “Digital Workers” Deployed at Major Bank to Work Alongside Humans: It has begun.”

Guest post by Tyler Durden, ZeroHedge, Jul 02, 2025

EXCERPT: “If you’re working in banking, your next colleague could be a bot. Once unthinkable, the Bank of New York Mellon announced that it has deployed dozens of artbificial intelligence-powered “digital employees” that operate with human employees, and even have their own company login credentials.

    The Wall Street Journal reports:

Similar to human employees, these digital workers have direct managers they report to and work autonomously in areas like coding and payment instruction validation, said Chief Information Officer Leigh-Ann Russell. Soon they’ll have access to their own email accounts and may even be able to communicate with colleagues in other ways like through Microsoft Teams, she said.

What the bank, also known as BNY, calls “digital workers,” other banks may refer to as “AI agents.” And while the industry lacks a clear consensus on exact terminology, it’s clear that the technology has a growing presence in financial services.

“This is the next level,” Russell told the Journal. “I’m sure in six months’ time it will become very, very prevalent.”

BNY said its AI Hub developed two digital employee personas in three months, according to Adrienne Russell. One persona is engineered to identify and resolve coding vulnerabilities, while the other verifies payment instructions. Each persona can operate in multiple instances—up to several dozen—with each instance confined to a specific team to limit company wide data access.

Soon, the bank plans to integrate its digital workforce with email addresses and Microsoft Teams access in the near future, enabling these AI personas to proactively communicate with human managers, but will maintain its focus on recruiting top human talent while simultaneously expanding its digital workforce, according to the Journal.

Of course, BNY isn’t the only bank looking to shift work from its human staff to AI. Goldman Sachs has already launched an internal AI assistant to 10,000 of its bankers, traders and asset managers to use. In an interview with CNBC, the bank’s Chief Information Officer, Marco Argenti, said the AI assistant will pitch in with basic tasks like proofreading documents and improving language. “Think about all the tasks that you might want to complete with regards to a variety of use cases for all those professions that can be now at your fingertips,” Argenti said. “The AI assistant becomes really like talking to another GS employee.”

“As we progress, the second step is when you’re starting to have this agentic behavior, that is, ‘I’m completing a task on behalf of a Goldman employee, and I need to take a set of steps,’” he added. “That’s where the model is going to start to do things like a Goldman employee, not only say things like a Goldman employee.”……..

  7. “General Mills agreed to stop calling the oats in its Nature Valley granola bars ‘100 percent natural’ to settle a lawsuit by three consumer groups that said the bars contained small amounts of the herbicide commonly known as Roundup.

Beyond Pesticides, Moms Across America and the Organic Consumers Association on Thursday said the settlement calls for General Mills to remove the phrase “Made with 100% Natural Whole Grain Oats” from Nature Valley labels. The groups said independent tests showed that the granola bars contained 0.45 parts per million of glyphosate, and that oats were the “most likely” source of the herbicide.”

The stunning decline comes after Jaguar rolled out a controversial ad last November that featured non-binary models wearing a rainbow of colors with slogans like “Copy Nothing” and “Live Vivid” — but excluded any images of its sleek sports cars as it touted its transition to a fully electric, ultra-luxury company.”

  9. EXECUTIVE ACTIONS? I like the sound of that!

    JoeLange

    @JoeLang51440671

    Looks like as I expected.

Trump’s BBB will be passed by July 4th.

    Stop doubting Trump.

    Set aside “politics.”

This isn’t about “politics” and the charade of paying off the debt.

    This is WAR.

There is far more happening behind the scenes than we will ever know.

    See the SIGNAL.

“The breakthrough came after hours of meetings between GOP leadership and holdouts, exploring what executive actions or other promises could assuage hard-line fiscal hawks who were incensed about the Senate-passed bill’s budget deficits.

Action was nudged along by a Truth Social post from the president, just minutes after members of the House Freedom Caucus told reporters they didn’t want to vote Wednesday night.

“It looks like the House is ready to vote tonight. We had GREAT conversations all day, and the Republican House Majority is UNITED, for the Good of our Country, delivering the Biggest Tax Cuts in History and MASSIVE Growth. Let’s go Republicans, and everyone else – MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!” Trump wrote on his social media platform.”

    https://politico.com/live-updates/2025/07/02/congress/house-rule-gop-megabill-00438177

    Did you catch it?

The breakthrough came after promises of “EXECUTIVE ACTIONS.”

Trump has the executive power to accomplish many things.

He is a wartime president and has EMERGENCY POWERS under the War Powers Act.

    What Trump wanted, he got.

Massive tax cuts for the American people after making permanent, his tax cuts from his first term.

Massive border security spending, especially for ICE as they ramp up deportations.

Pro growth spending to spur innovation and jobs.

The rest can be handled through executive actions.

Trump has been heavily involved in this process and I think he convinced the republicans who were dragging their feet to vote for the BBB, that he is serious about “complete transformation” of our government.

  10. Phew! That kicked my ass! First, I did my dishes – killed my back; then I decided to look on-line for a 94th BD card for my Mom since I’m not up to wandering thru the card section. Managed to find one that says it took 94 years to look this good, then had to trim/cut/paste, etc. And, of course, I ran out of paper in my printer – it requires going down on my knees to refill it….took 4 tries to get back up! But I got ‘er done anyway!

  13. “The Democratic Socialist Party of America: Zohran Mamdani”

Michael T. Flynn LTG USA (RET), Jul 03, 2025

“This SITREP is on the Democratic Socialist Party of America (DSA). I’m writing this because of the upcoming high profile NYC Mayor’s race featuring the marxist socialist candidate, Zohran Mamdani. Mamdani is a member of the DSA and he must not be taken lightly as some “nut-job” because of his political views.

NYC residents and all Americans who care about the future of our constitutional republic must take this guy and many others (some already serving in Congress) very seriously. I have been speaking out about the dangers of the DSA for many years, and they are only growing in power and influence here in America.

First, Mamdani is a member of the DSA. The DSA is anti-American and works in concert with America’s enemies around the world. Its basic platform (see below) seeks to destroy America and wants its opponents to rise (CH, RU, IR, VE, NK, CU).

DSA’s Political Platform includes the following:

    1. Stand in solidarity with the Palestinian struggle and all that entails.

    2. Support normalization of relations with the global communist alliance (see above).

    3. End nationalistic posturing toward China.

    4. Immediately withdraw from NATO.

    5. Grant immediate and unconditional Amnesty for all illegal immigrants.

    6. Reject the Monroe Doctrine.

    7. Support self-determination and full sovereignty for all indigenous nations (within current U.S. borders as well as all other overseas territories controlled by the USA).

    8. Immediately legalize all humans living in the U.S., including voting rights.

Essentially, the DSA’s platform calls for the total abolition of capitalism. This DSA represents an existential threat to our republic.

@BarackObama you advanced the DSA more than any other political figure in U.S. history.”

    THE WINS JUST KEEP STACKING!

Fire up the jets! They’ve ALL gotta go!

In another loss for activist judges, SCOTUS blocked a lower court ruling which barred Trump from doing so.
