What Shall We Make Today?

In honor of National Fudge Day, I am bringing my favorite Chocolate Peanut Butter Fudge recipe.  I learned this one in 8th grade and am still making this delicious fudge!

2/3 cup evaporated milk (I use skim milk)

1 2/3 cups sugar

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

1 cup miniature marshmallows

1/2 cup creamy peanut butter

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

Combine the milk, and sugar in a saucepan.  Heat until boiling, then stirring constantly, cook for 5 minutes.  Remove from the heat and stir in the chocolate chips, marshmallows and the peanut butter, stirring until smooth.  Add vanilla.

Lightly grease a 10-inch square pan or line with parchment. Pour the fudge into the pan and spread with a spatula. Chill in the refrigerator until firm. Slice into 1-inch pieces and store in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Enjoy!

Notes

This fudge can be made ahead of time and then kept in the freezer for several months. Thaw in the refrigerator when ready to serve.

  2. EXCERPT: “People generally love cute critters. Raccoons, now they’re as cute as they come, but they are also intelligent, dexterous, adaptable, and devious. When I was a little kid back in northeast Iowa, my folks kept their bird seed in a big steel trash can inside the machine shed, and Dad actually had to padlock the can’s lid shut to keep the raccoons out – and he used a key lock, I suspect in part because he wasn’t completely certain that the local raccoons (see image above) wouldn’t figure out how to open a combination lock. My Mom always maintained that when humans are gone, raccoons would be the next intelligent creature to take over the planet.

With that said, it isn’t a huge surprise that a Kentucky crook has formed a partnership-in-crime with a raccoon. The post reads:

On 6/6/2025 around 9:18 PM, the Murray Police Department received a call that an individual had intentionally released a raccoon into an open business, and that this person had left the scene.  Officers soon located this individual while he was operating his vehicle, and they conducted a traffic stop on him.  The individual, later identified as Jonathan Mason (40) of Murray, KY, refused to roll down his windows or exit the vehicle.  As a result, officers had to remove Mr. Mason from his vehicle.  Upon further investigation, it was learned that the raccoon that Mr. Mason released into the business bit a person, and that Mr. Mason had already been warned that he was not allowed on the property of that business.  Mr. Mason was arrested and charged with Assault 2nd Degree, Criminal Trespassing 3rd Degree, Resisting Arrest, and Failure of Owner to Maintain Required Insurance 1st Offense; he was lodged in the Calloway County Jail.

Well, that certainly warrants a paws to reflect.

It’s not clear what charges the raccoon faces, aside of course from the usual masked banditry. But you have to admit, partnering with a human is taking raccoon society to a new level. Maybe Mr. Mason expected his masked partner to carry out a robbery or just perform some raccoonaissance in the business, but as of this writing, that intent is not clear…..”

  3. “San Francisco Protesters Spell Out ‘No King’ With Sidewalk Poop”

SAN FRANCISCO, CA — In an inspiring display of solidarity to voice their opposition to President Donald Trump’s policies, San Francisco protesters spelled out “No King” with sidewalk feces.

Thousands of the city’s residents gathered downtown over the weekend to show their displeasure with Trump’s immigration agenda, using the copious amount of human waste scattered around on the surrounding sidewalks as their medium of expression.

“This will show Trump how much better off we are without his policies!” shouted one angry San Franciscan as he sculpted handfuls of excrement into the giant letter “N.” “Our city is the perfect example of the liberal utopia that can be achieved if we get rid of the bigoted, hateful ideas promoted by conservatives. May the smell of this poop be a sign to Trump and his fascist administration of how much of a stench his policies are! Somebody hand me some more feces!”

Despite concerns from some protesters that they would not have enough sidewalk poo to make a large enough sign to be seen clearly from the air, the mob ended up with piles of scat to spare. “Fortunately, we have a lot of doodoo lying around in San Francisco,” another protester said. “In other cities, we wouldn’t be able to pull this off. Thanks to the leadership from our elected Democratic officials, we’ve got an abundant surplus of sidewalk feces. Take that, Trump!”

At publishing time, the protesters had used some of the leftover sidewalk poop to create a life-sized sculpture of Governor Gavin Newsom.

  4. ‘In Solidarity With Protestors, Burger King Changes Name To ‘Burger Democratically Elected Leader'”

MIAMI, FL — In light of last weekend’s string of “No King” protests, the Burger King Corporation has resolved to change its name to Burger Democratically Elected Leader.

“We don’t believe in kings in America, which is why we have decided to rename our burger restaurants after democracy instead,” said CEO of Burger King Corporation Tim Burger. “We are sorry that our company’s name has been used to spread pro-monarchist feelings throughout the country.”

Protestors are reportedly appreciative of the show of solidarity by the fast food titan, even if it’s not the result they were looking for. “We were kind of hoping Trump would suddenly cease to exist, but I’ll take a new name for Burger King,” said unemployed protestor and body-positive activist Barb Farnsworth.

Conservative personalities blasted the move as a needless capitulation to the “woke mob.”

“It’s 2025, and we don’t need to bow to wokeness anymore,” protested Daily Wire personality Ben Shapiro. “Besides, we are not a democracy, gang. Burger King should’ve been renamed to ‘Burger Constitutional Republic’ instead.”

The White House declined to comment, citing an allegiance to McDonald’s.

At publishing time, Burger Democratically Elected Leader had been overthrown via a hostile takeover from Burger Puppet Dictator.

  5. “Democrats Urge People To Stop Inflammatory Rhetoric Unless It’s Against Trump, The Next Hitler Who Must Be Stopped Now”

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Following the recent political violence in Minnesota, Democrats have come forward to urge all Americans to avoid inflamed, violent rhetoric unless it’s against Trump, the next Hitler who must be stopped at all costs.

According to DNC Chair Ken Martin, Americans have a civic responsibility to use peaceful, non-violent speech to build up society, unless they’re talking about Trump, who is essentially Hitler and who must be thwarted no matter what.

“On behalf of the DNC, I urge my fellow citizens to stop using inflammatory rhetoric,” Martin said. “There is no call whatsoever for hateful or violent speech, except for when someone talks about Trump, who is probably Hitler, because he’s an enemy of humankind and must be destroyed, regardless of the cost.”

Other Democrats concurred, affirming that escalating political tensions with angry, harsh words is always wrong except for when those words demean Donald Trump.

“Our democracy is founded on principles of free, responsible, and ordered speech,” said Cory Booker, a Democrat. “This speech must be protected at all costs, unlike Trump, who we could really do without, if you know what I mean.”

At publishing time, Democrats had further urged people always to shun political violence except for when it is directed against Trump.

EXCERPT: “A whistleblower lawsuit alleging a New York hospital system violated federal law by failing to report adverse events connected to the COVID-19 vaccines can proceed, a federal court ruled last week. Bloomberg Law first reported the story Thursday.

Deborah Conrad worked as a physician’s assistant at United Memorial Medical Center (UMMC), part of Rochester Regional Health (RRH), until she was fired in October 2021. Conrad said she was fired for reporting vaccine-related adverse events to the federally run Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS).

Conrad sued the hospital in May 2023, under the False Claims Act — a federal law that allows whistleblowers to file a lawsuit on behalf of the U.S. government against an entity for allegedly defrauding the government and profiting from taxpayer funds. She filed an amended complaint in November 2024.

False Claims Act cases are initially sealed while the government investigates the cases and determines if it will intervene. In February 2024, the U.S. government decided not to intervene. The lawsuit subsequently survived two motions by the defendants to dismiss the case.

The complaint alleges that RRH violated the False Claims Act because it “knowingly” failed to report adverse events to VAERS despite being required to do so — and nevertheless “submitted claims for payment” for COVID 19 vaccine administration to the U.S. government.

Conrad also alleged that she saw RRH patients suffer serious adverse events following the COVID-19 vaccine and that she reported them to VAERS because she “had concerns” about RRH’s reporting efforts.

U.S. District Judge John L. Sinatra Jr. of the Western District of New York ruled that Conrad had presented enough evidence to support her claims of fraud under the False Claims Act, and of retaliation under both the False Claims Act and New York labor law.

“I’m very excited to move forward into discovery,” Conrad said after the ruling. “It’s been a long time, and I’m excited to be able to tell my story.” Conrad said the VAERS system is a “huge safety net to assure that these things that we’re giving to the public are safe. I sounded the alarm that there was potential harm being done, and as a result I was silenced. And that just can’t be allowed.”

She’s seeking job reinstatement and back pay for herself, and civil penalties on behalf of the U.S. government.

Officials accuse Conrad of sounding ‘anti-vaxxy’….”
