I found these eagles on SOCCERBLOG.COM website and they are so cute and so easy to make!
Materials Needed:
Craft foam sheets (brown, yellow & orange)
Large brown pom-poms
Large white pom-poms (slightly smaller than the brown pom poms if possible)
Hot glue gun & glue sticks
Google eyes
Begin by folding the orange craft foam sheet in half. Cut out feet for your eagle on the bend. They don’t have to be perfect, but you are welcome to use the photo below as a guideline.

Using the hot glue gun, glue the large brown pom pom onto your orange foam feet.
Glue the white pom pom onto the top of your brown pom pom.
Cut a small triangle from your yellow craft foam and glue to the center of the white pom pom. This will be the beak.
Glue two google eyes above the yellow triangle beak.

Cut two eagle wings from brown craft foam. Glue wings onto both sides of your brown pom pom. Your eagle is finished!

Why? It’ll just be another long, drawn-out fight!!! This is stupid, IMO! It’s pretty fricking simple: you’ve got credits, you’ve got debits – you need more credits than debits – period!

About that ship that ran aground….
“A 440-foot-long cargo ship apparently failed to make its turn after entering Trondheim fjord, ending up in the garden of a water-front resident, but incredibly beached without waking the sleeping householder.
The NCL Salten, a Norwegian-operated container ship capable of carrying 886 twenty foot containers (or the equivalent thereof) ran aground in the early hours of Thursday morning after it had entered the Trondheim fjord. The ship had sailed from Averøy on Bremsnesfjorden on Norway’s Atlantic coast the previous day on coastal trade.
The Salten may be relatively small by container ship standards — the largest carry the equivalent of over 24,000 twenty foot containers — but it dwarfed its new neighbor after coming to rest on the shore. After failing to make its turn, Norwegian police say they are investigating whether this was technical malfunction or human error, the ship ended up directly alongside a small water-front home.
The householder Johan Helberg told them the ship coming to rest on his property had not awoken him, but rather the knock of a neighbour to check in on him did. He said: “I went to the window and was quite astonished to see a big ship…I had to bend my neck to see the top of it. It was so unreal.”
The Daily Mail states: “It is understood the same vessel has run aground three times previously within the last three years.”

I want it to go to someone who would actually appreciate it and make good use of it! My GS would sell it and take the $$$, no doubt in my mind! I tried to make it as accessible as possible, with wider doors and handles instead of door knobs. It just needs a couple of small ramps to be 100% handicapped accessible, except for the showers – they aren’t wheelchair accessible but the master BR is a walk-in with just a small step into it.

Red State: “As if we needed another reason to think DNC Vice Chair David Hogg was cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs… Well, get a load of this. In an interview with radio host Charlamagne Tha God (yes, he really calls himself that) on Friday, David Hogg made a truly astounding recommendation for the leadership of the Democratic Party.
Authenticity, David? Seriously? She’s authentically nuts, I’ll allow that. As for the rest of the comments from the DNC Vice Chair (for now), they’re about what you’d expect:
Wow. Cognitive dissonance, thy name is David Hogg. Granted, given the status of Mr. Young Noodle-Arms in the Democratic Party today, it’s unlikely any of his recommendations will be taken too seriously.
Republicans, on the other hand, should be encouraging this notion. Yes, we want to see that loudmouth Jasmine Crockett taking on a leadership role in the Democratic Party. Only a few hours ago, I penned a piece on how the Democrat leadership was either fossilized or foolish (the two, mind you, are not mutually exclusive), and Jasmine Crockett definitely falls in the latter category, with whopping big doses of racism and dishonesty into the bargain. And, just to make the whole thing even more fun, she attended the elite Rhodes College and the University of Houston Law Center, and has an estimated net worth of between $2 and $9 million. Yeah, a real lady of the people, her.
In other words, she may be the perfect representative of the modern Democrats.
To the Democratic Party, I can only say this: “Yes, yes, please do this. Please place Jasmine Crockett in a senior leadership position in your party, and hang on her every word. Accept without question her every whim, no matter how whacko it may seem. She and people like her are the key to assuring you will remain a niche party of urban elites, academics, big-city snobs, and the dependency class, forever and ever. America will thank you for it.”

Just The News: “The U.S. Department of Agriculture canceled its $1 million collaboration with the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the parent to the Wuhan Institute of Virology, to conduct gain-of-function experiments on bird flu viruses, Secretary Brooke Rollins told Rep. Ben Cline, R-Va.
Speaking at a House Agriculture Appropriations Subcommittee hearing, Rollins said “it is my understanding that those [experiments] have been discontinued just in the last few months” when Cline asked for their status, started in the Biden administration, and that if she’s wrong, “then 100%, yes,” USDA will stop them.
Cline said her predecessor Tom Vilsack “defended and distorted this risky research” when Vilsack testified, denying it was a “collaboration” even though the “project title” calls it that and claiming there was no “data sharing” even though public records show USDA visiting the China lab to “share results on site.” The Chinese researcher lists the Wuhan Institute of Virology as an affiliation, Cline said.
“It is outrageous that U.S. taxpayer dollars were ever used by the Biden USDA to fund joint experiments with the Chinese Communist Party, especially research that could be catastrophic if mishandled or weaponized,” Cline said in a statement.
The White Coat Waste Project, which exposed through public records requests the five-year project on what it called “maximum pain bird flu gain-of-function experiments” on birds as young as a day old, cheered Rollins’ declaration.
“Taxpayers shouldn’t be forced to pay for the creation of pandemic-causing pathogens, and now, following a White Coat Waste campaign, they won’t have to,” President Anthony Bellotti said.”

Oh, Germany…..smh.
Just The News: “At least a dozen people were injured in Germany on Friday after a woman allegedly went on a stabbing spree at a train station in Hamburg.
Authorities have detained a suspect in the case, and the exact number of injuries was not immediately clear. But some of the wounded suffered life-threatening injuries. No fatalities have been reported so far.
The suspect allegedly used a knife in the attack, police said, and they believe she acted alone. No motive has been released so far, but Hamburg police said they are investigating whether she was in mental distress.
“So far, we have no evidence that the woman could have acted with political motivation,” Hamburg police spokesperson Florian Abbenseth told reporters. “Rather, we have findings on the basis of which we are now investigating, in particular whether she may have been in a state of mental distress.”
This story is developing and will be updated.”

EXCERPT: “Americans want better vaccine safety oversight, more stringent clinical trials and greater Big Pharma accountability, according to a poll conducted this month by the Center for Excellence in Polling and commissioned by the Foundation for Government Accountability.
The results showed that 88% of respondents believe pharmaceutical companies “should be held financially responsible” if their vaccines or other products cause harm.
Also, 88% said they strongly or somewhat agree that clinical trials for new COVID-19 boosters should demonstrate a “clear health benefit” before being granted U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approval. Support for both policies was nearly identical among Republicans and Democrats.
The survey also found that 50% of respondents strongly or somewhat agree that parents should have the right to opt their children out of school-required vaccines, without penalty. Support for this measure was highest among Republicans (68%), while 43% of independents and 37% of Democrats agreed.
The poll results closely match those of a John Zogby Strategies poll conducted nationwide on behalf of Children’s Health Defense (CHD) in November 2024, which found that 57% of respondents believe vaccine-injured people should be able to sue vaccine manufacturers, who are currently protected by laws shielding them from liability in the event of vaccine injuries.
The CHD-Zogby poll also found that 51% of respondents, including a majority of parents, opposed vaccine mandates — with 72% opposing mandates for experimental vaccines such as the COVID-19 shots, which were issued under emergency use authorization.
A survey of elementary school personnel funded by the National Institutes of Health and published in the journal Vaccine last month found that a majority of respondents opposed vaccine mandates for schoolchildren.
Last week, The Wall Street Journal reported that the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) plans to stop recommending COVID-19 vaccines for pregnant women, children and teens.
Last month, HHS announced that all new vaccines will have to be tested against a placebo before they can be approved.
Health freedom movement ‘truly gaining traction with mainstream America’
The Foundation for Government Accountability poll found wide bipartisan support for the Make America Healthy Again (MAHA) policies — including more stringent safety testing of vaccines, bans on harmful food additives, better labelling of food products and greater transparency on the part of public health agencies…..”

EXCERPT: “The Garrison School is part of a special education district that had students arrested at the highest rate in the country. It had pledged to change how it disciplines kids after a ProPublica-Chicago Tribune investigation and subsequent federal probe.
A short video taken inside an Illinois school captured troubling behavior: A teacher gripping a 6-year-old boy with autism by the ankle and dragging him down the hallway on his back. The early-April incident would’ve been upsetting in any school, but it happened at the Garrison School, part of a special education district where, at one time, students were arrested at the highest rate of any district in the country.
The teacher was charged with battery weeks later after pressure from the student’s parents.
It’s been about eight months since the U.S. Department of Education (ED) directed Garrison to change the way it responded to the behavior of students with disabilities. The ED said it would monitor the Four Rivers Special Education District, which operates Garrison, following a ProPublica and Chicago Tribune investigation in 2022 that found the school frequently involved police and used controversial disciplinary methods.
But the ED’s Office for Civil Rights (OCR) regional office in Chicago, which was responsible for Illinois and five other states, was one of seven abolished by President Donald Trump’s administration in March; the offices were closed and their entire staff was fired.
The future of oversight at Four Rivers, in west-central Illinois, is now uncertain. There’s no record of any communication from the ED to the district since Trump took office, and his administration has terminated an antidiscrimination agreement with at least one school district in South Dakota.
In the April incident, Xander Reed, who has autism and does not speak, did not stop playing with blocks and go to P.E. when he was told to, according to a police report. Xander then “became agitated and fell to the ground,” the report said. When he refused to get up, a substitute teacher, Rhea Drake, dragged him to the gym.
Another staff member took a photo and alerted school leadership. Principal Amy Haarmann told police that Drake’s actions “were not an acceptable practice at the school,” the police report said.
Xander’s family asked to press charges. Drake, who had been working in Xander’s classroom for more than a month, was charged about three weeks later with misdemeanor battery, records show. She has pleaded not guilty. Her attorney told ProPublica that he and Drake did not want to comment for this story.
Tracey Fair, the district’s director, said school officials made sure students were safe following the incident and that Drake won’t be returning to the district…..”

Hey Guys, a super quickie. Josiah is being discharged today!!!
I’d gone downstairs to access a public computer in a different part of the hospital, maybe 1/2 mile away. The Nurse gave me a “unit phone” since Josiah didn’t want me taking his cell with me. So I got him through his breakfast, which we ate closer to lunch time, & ensured everything was OK with him before I left with the Unit Cell Phone.
After working about an hour on the computer the doctor called to discuss Josiah’s situation & his planned discharge! He called the prescription in to the hospital pharmacy that is “on my way” from where I’m on the computer & Josiah’s ICU room. I’m trying to confirm his meds are ready for pickup then I’ll get them & a wheelchair to use as a cart to get all our stuff out of J’s room.
I called J to touch base & found that he’d already informed Michael that he was coming home today. I’d called M several times from this Unit Cell but he never picked up.
Bottom line we Might be outta here in under 2 hours!!!!!!! Praise God!!!
Thanks again for all your prayers. Please lift up our family as we come to mind as a week from today is the last event, funeral, related to my mother’s death. Josiah is pretty weak & said he might need me to help him into the shower AND how many 29 year old sons make such a request of their mothers LOL
Can’t wait to get home & see everyone before Michael, Brandon (who’s planning on spending the night at our house so they get on the road Early tomorrow), Clarissa, & Lillian head Up North for a whirlwind 1-2 night trip to deal w/ Dad’s Northern Michigan properties. It’s still a bit of a wild ride but at least we can deal with the chaos from home!
Your guys’ prayer support, wisdom & insights, & your encouragements have made a pretty tough situation just a little easier to bear. Thank you ALL So Much! ❤ 🙏 ❤

This is why I’d love to visit Egypt – looks like my guy! His bloodlines trace back to the Bedouins.
“The origins of the Arabian horse date back as far as 3,000 BC, which places it amongst the most ancient breeds in the world. The beautiful and elegant features of the breed were shaped by the nomadic Bedouin tribe of the Arabian Peninsula.
The Arabian horse has the potential to excel in almost any discipline. Due to their outstanding stamina, these horses are especially valued in the endurance sport.
Arabian bloodlines can be found in most modern horse breeds as they were used to add extra resilience and refinement. (Actually, in ALL light breeds at some point!)
Lipizzaner
I visited the stables at Ft. Myer and they had a Lipizzaner – it even had the crown tattoo, which signifies royal bloodlines.
“The Lipizzaner horse was created in the 16th century by a stud farm in the Austrian Empire. It is closely related to Spanish, Arabian, and Barb horses. Today, this beautiful grey or white horse breed is the national horse of Slovenia.
Lipizzaner horses are used by the famous Spanish Riding School of Vienna where they perform advanced classical dressage. The horses arrive at the school when they are four years old and are usually fully trained by the time they reach 10.
Other than dressage, the Lipizzaner also performs well in show jumping and eventing due to their athletic build. They are most widely used in countries of Middle Europe. All Lipizzaner horses are born black and mature into a light grey color. Black, brown, and bay versions also exist, although extremely rare.”

Andalusian
“The thick mane, long tail, and distinctive mix of black and brown colors make the Andalusian horse a beautiful sight to capture. This Spanish horse breed has a history dating back to the 15th century.
The Andalusian horse breed was bred under strict conditions. This enabled the breeders to preserve its characteristics and beauty for centuries. They accompanied travelers and soldiers around the world, leaving their traces in other breeds. Some of them escaped captivity and became wild horses.
We see Andalusian breeds being used for bullfighting throughout the history of Spain. Though there are several oppositions, they are still being used for bullfighting in some parts of Spain.
If you are looking for a tall and handsome breed with a majestic appearance, then this breed is for you.”
Marwari
“The Marwari horse breed is known for its distinctive inward folding ears. These horses were native to North-Western India. All the erstwhile dynasties of the Rajasthan and Gujarat region had the Marwari breed horses in their army.
The mix of black and brown coat, elegant mane, and long-tail enhances this horse breed’s beauty. They are considered close relatives of another famous Indian breed Kathiawari, which also has almost the same features.
Well known for their ability to remember the way back home, these horses were considered the pride of royalty. Their bravery had made them a formidable companion of a soldier in wars and battles. Later, these horses were being used in sports like equestrian and polo.”
