  1. Good morning, Pat and Filly….

    SALLY Q 💜 UPDATE

Hospice told us yesterday that our Sally Q has begun transitioning…one of the last stages of life.   She hasn’t wanted food, just water for the last week.  I’m grateful that she has not had a lot of pain.  Hospice has been helpful in the management of medications and pain.  The education they have given us as caregivers is the best part of their ministry IMO.

We are making the final arrangements.   She wanted to donate her brain to the Brain Tissue Bank at the University of Maryland stores tissue for Friedreich’s Ataxia research.   I got all the preponderance of documentation proving her diagnosis gathered and sent a few months ago and the donation was approved.     They have been alerted.  The retrieval will be done at the funeral home that will handle her graveside service and burial.

Sally has been calling her sister’s name for the last couple of days, and she is coming this morning.   Because of their years of estrangement, this means so much to me.

Thank you all – we are so grateful for your loving encouragement, prayers, advice and counsel.

Our GOD is faithful and Great is His Faithfulness – His Peace surpasses all understanding.  He even gives us joy in our sorrows.

    Romans 8:38-39
“For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

    1. oh GA!

May the Lord comfort and strengthen you in this final stage! Wish we could be there for you, but we’re here for you! You have been a rock for Sally. Please remember to take care of yourself in this difficult time. My prayers are with you!

    2. Oh, GA…..Sally Q was soooo very blessed to have such a fine, strong, loving Mother. God knew you were one of the few who would be strong enough – both in life and your faith – to accept that burden willingly. And I have to say….your ex-hubby is an abject fool for letting you go! My aunt had a rare liver disease and her body was also donated to science to study that disease. I’m so glad she will be able to see her sister one more time. Hopefully, her heart will be softened and, whether she will admit it or not, she will find some peace and an end to her anger. You are a blessing and a lesson for all of us!

BOOM! Stephen Miller’s America First Legal Drops Bombshell Lawsuit Against Chief Justice John Roberts
by Jim Hᴏft May. 6, 2025

    comment image

Stephen Miller’s America First Legal (AFL) has filed a bombshell lawsuit against Chief Justice John G. Roberts, Jr., in his capacity as Presiding Officer of the Judicial Conference of the United States, and Robert J. Conrad, Director of the Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts.

The lawsuit accuses the powerful duo of running what AFL describes as an “unconstitutional shadow agency” and violating federal transparency laws.
The lawsuit, filed on April 22, slams the Judicial Conference of the United States and its administrative arm—both overseen by Chief Justice Roberts—as rogue “executive agencies” that have collaborated with far-left lawmakers to wage lawfare against conservative Supreme Court justices.

According to the lawsuit viewed by The Gateway Pundit:

“For several years, the media and enterprising lawmakers have launched an onslaught to destroy the impartiality and political neutrality of Article III courts and, particularly, the Supreme Court. Justices Thomas, Alito, and Kavanaugh have all faced political and physical threats because of the politicization and weaponization of the law.

This lawfare has been led by Senator Sheldon Whitehouse and Representative Hank Johnson, relying upon an ideologically favorable legacy media to falsely accuse Justices Thomas and Alito of ethical improprieties. Their aim was simple: to chill the judicial independence of these Supreme Court Justices.”

According to the explosive complaint, the Judicial Conference and the Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts — long presumed exempt from the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) — have functioned more like executive agencies rather than neutral arms of the judiciary.

AFL argues that these entities must comply with FOIA because they exercise “executive powers,” including responding to congressional oversight and issuing binding regulations — all under the direction of Roberts himself.

AFL’s lawsuit stems from its FOIA requests for communications between these agencies and Whitehouse and Johnson, two of the most vocal Democrat crusaders against conservative justices.

After the agencies flatly denied the requests, claiming FOIA doesn’t apply to them, AFL took them to court.

“The Judicial Conference and the Administrative Office are central levers for Senator Whitehouse and Representative Johnson’s lawfare enterprise. The Conference and the Administrative Office have actively accommodated oversight requests from these congressmen concerning their allegations against Justices Thomas and Alito.

Under our constitutional tradition, accommodations with Congress are the province of the executive branch. The Judicial Conference and the Administrative Office are therefore executive agencies. Such agencies must be overseen by the President, not the courts. Judicial relief here not only preserves the separation of powers but also keeps the courts out of politics.

    […]

Courts definitively do not create agencies to exercise functions beyond resolving cases or controversies or administratively supporting those functions. But the Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts does exactly that.

    […]

The Judicial Conference’s duties are executive functions and must be supervised by executive officers who are appointed and accountable to other executive officers.

Thus, the Judicial Conference and Administrative Office exercise executive functions and are accordingly subject to FOIA. Accordingly, their refusal to comply with AFL’s FOIA request is unlawful.”

  4. EXCERPT: “Secretary of State Marco Rubio will dissolve the State Department’s Office of Palestinian Affairs (OPA), a Biden-era creation that elevated relations with the Palestinian Authority, the Washington Free Beacon has learned.

Rubio directed newly installed U.S. ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee to merge the independent diplomatic office and its responsibilities, including outreach to the Palestinians, with the American embassy in Jerusalem, U.S. officials and congressional sources briefed on the matter confirmed to the Free Beacon. The decision is meant to restore the Trump administration’s first-term vision for a unified U.S. diplomatic mission in Israel’s capital that reports directly to the ambassador.

The office repeatedly earned the ire of Republican lawmakers for its anti-Israel advocacy during the Biden-Harris administration. In the early hours of Hamas’s October 7 attack, the OPA called on Israel to stand down and forgo any retaliation. Subsequent legislation sought to rein in the office, mandating it periodically report on its public diplomacy and advocacy efforts.

The Biden administration created the OPA in June 2022 against Israel’s wishes, endowing it with the power to operate independently of the American embassy. It has come under fire in the past for its potential violation of the Jerusalem Embassy Act of 1995, which mandated that a single U.S. embassy be established in the Israeli capital…..”

  5. “MAGA Leaders Defend Americans’ Right to Boycott Israel”

Prominent figures from within President Donald Trump’s “Make America Great Again” or “MAGA” movement came out against the bipartisan IGO Anti-Boycott Act, House Resolution 867— saying it would criminalize boycotts and free speech against Israel.

After the backlash, a pending vote slated for Monday was canceled. “It’s beyond outrageous and offensive that House leadership bowed to extreme-right forces and pulled this commonsense, bipartisan bill that makes antisemitic and hate-driven boycotts illegal,” a spokesperson for Representative Josh Gottheimer, a New Jersey Democrat, who introduced the legislation told Newsweek Monday morning.

Newsweek also reached out to Representative Mike Lawler, a New York Republican, who introduced the legislation with Gottheimer, for comment.

Why It Matters: Critics of the H.R. 867 say the legislation goes against the right to free speech established in the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution. Its supporters say it targets antisemitic actions, including boycotts of Israel. The bill has bipartisan support but also faces bipartisan opposition. – Newsweek

Our Take: So, Mike Lawler filed this bill way back on January 31. The bill is an expansion of an existing law that was passed by the Republican-controlled Congress in 2018, making it illegal to participate in boycotts against Israel. (Up to 20 years in prison, and up to a million dollars in fines.)

Lawler’s bill would expand the existing law to include international governmental organizations (IGOs) and permit the prosecution of those who publicly shared information intending to connect individuals working for these IGOs with the Israeli or American governments.

The bill was only pulled from consideration on Monday morning due to intense pushback from people online – who are accusing Mike Lawler of engaging in treason for endorsing this bill. I happen to agree with those people, and would like to see the entire Congress investigated for any potential foreign influence.

  6. TBH, I hope I don’t live long enough to see AI really take off….nothing but bad news, as far as I’m concerned, and incredibly dangerous!!!

AI Models Are Hallucinating More (and It’s Not Clear Why)

Hallucinations have always been an issue for generative AI models: The same structure that enables them to be creative and produce text and images also makes them prone to making stuff up. And the hallucination problem isn’t getting better as AI models progress—in fact, it’s getting worse.

In a new technical report from OpenAI (via The New York Times), the company details how its latest o3 and o4-mini models hallucinate 51 percent and 79 percent, respectively, on an AI benchmark known as SimpleQA. For the earlier o1 model, the SimpleQA hallucination rate stands at 44 percent.

Those are surprisingly high figures, and heading in the wrong direction. These models are known as reasoning models because they think through their answers and deliver them more slowly. Clearly, based on OpenAI’s own testing, this mulling over of responses is leaving more room for mistakes and inaccuracies to be introduced.

False facts are by no means limited to OpenAI and ChatGPT. – Lifehacker

Amazon’s Zoox Recalls Robotaxi for Software Update After Las Vegas Crash

Amazon-owned robotaxi maker Zoox initiated a recall to update software in 270 driverless vehicles after a crash in Las Vegas. Zoox announced the software recall Monday, saying the update addresses the “root cause” of the recent collision and has already been deployed in potentially affected vehicles.

The crash involving an unoccupied Zoox robotaxi and passenger car in Las Vegas occurred April 8, according to a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) recall report from the company. Nobody was hurt in the accident.

The accident happened after a passenger car was “quickly approaching the lane where our purpose-built robotaxi was traveling,” Zoox said Monday on its website.

“Anticipating that the passenger car would proceed forward, the Zoox robotaxi slowed down and steered to the right. Instead, the car came to a full stop, fully yielding to the Zoox robotaxi and remaining in the shoulder lane,” the robotaxi maker continued. “The Zoox robotaxi braked hard, but contact was unavoidable.” – Fox Business

Our Take: As people become increasingly dependent on generative AI as their “new Google,” we learn that these tools are hallucinating up to 79% of the time.

Just making stuff up. There are real world consequences for this:

I wonder what Mike paid this guy per hour for a brief filled with nonexistent citations and faulty legal reasoning. The lawyer should lose his license for defrauding his client; but he’ll probably just have to take a class and pay a fine or something equally stupid and ineffective.

In the second story, driverless robo-taxis are being recalled because their software contains a flaw that ends in crashes. They found this out after a crash. Don’t worry, if we just get humans off the road and apply the right software update, we can eradicate car crashes.

  7. Israel Blindsided By Trump’s Houthi Announcement, Sources Tell ‘Post’

Israel was not informed in advance about US President Donald Trump’s announcement regarding the Houthis, an informed source told The Jerusalem Post on Tuesday.

Trump said on Tuesday that the US will stop bombing the Houthis in Yemen after claiming that the Iran-aligned group agreed to stop interrupting important shipping lanes in the Middle East.

The comments came during an Oval Office meeting with Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney, when Trump announced that the Houthis have said that they no longer want to fight, but did not elaborate on the message.

“They said please don’t bomb us anymore and we’re not going to attack your ships,” Trump said. There was no immediate response from the Houthis.
    – The Jerusalem Post

Our Take: Yesterday, during his meeting with Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney, President Trump mentioned that the Houthis had “capitulated,” and that an agreement had been reached to cease military action between them and the United States.

What’s interesting is that President Trump was asked about the conflict between the Houthis and Israel, and Trump seemed to treat it as a separate and independent situation. “I don’t know anything about that, but they want nothing to do with us.”

Israeli journalist Barak Ravid seemed to have a similar read on the situation, reporting on his X account that Trump didn’t seem fazed by the idea that Israel and the Houthis may continue to fight one another.

During his Oval Office meeting with Carney, while discussing his upcoming trip to the Middle East next week, Trump mentioned that he has a major announcement forthcoming. I can’t help but wonder whether this announcement will be that Iran will join the Abraham Accords – something Trump teased during an interview with Hugh Hewitt on October 7th – and that the United States will move to begin normalizing relations with them.

Given Israel’s very recent announcement that it intends to restart a major offensive campaign in Gaza, it would be quite the rugpull for President Trump to suddenly make peace with all of Netanyahu’s enemies, leaving him on an island fighting all by himself. – GhostofBasedPatrickHenry

  8. Prospective Diddy Juror Excused After Admitting He Can’t Go a Day Without Smoking Weed

Day two of Sean “Diddy” Combs’ sex crimes trial continued with jury selection on Tuesday, May 6, where one potential juror was excused after revealing his smoking habits.

“I smoke marijuana personally for recreational use,” the prospective juror told the court during proceedings. While he assured it wouldn’t make him biased, he did admit it could affect his judgment.

When asked if he could stop smoking during the trial, which is expected to last eight weeks, he said yes; however, he revealed he smoked marijuana every night, including “last night.”

He said quitting would be difficult before he was dismissed. – People

Our Take: Jury selection is underway in the Diddy trial, and I thought this story was hilarious. Homie just gave everyone an excuse to get out of jury duty: “Sorry judge, I just can’t be sober that long.”

Combs’ federal trial began with jury selection on Monday, May 5, in Manhattan. The music mogul is facing charges of sex trafficking, racketeering and transportation to engage in prostitution. Combs was indicted in the Southern District of New York in September and pleaded not guilty. Prosecutors allege that Combs organized alleged “freak offs,” which they say were “elaborate and produced sex performances.”

This is federal court so, unfortunately, the trial won’t be televised. We really need to change that rule. – Ashe in America

EXCERPT: “Former Florida Republican Rep. Matt Gaetz told Turning Point USA (TPUSA) founder Charlie Kirk that transgender women will soon be the Democrat Party’s “most masculine” constituency in a discussion aired Tuesday.

Struggling to find a single leader and message to get behind, Democrats have significantly dipped in their favorability polls for their party and among congressional lawmakers. While at a TPUSA conference in San Diego, California, Kirk asked Gaetz for his views on the state of the Democrat Party and what Republicans can learn since winning the election.

“I have some impolitic views on this. I believe that the most — Well, who’s left in the Democratic Party are like the beta males, the unsuccessful males, the angry pitbull-adopting lesbians and then the transsexuals,” Gaetz said. “So I believe that the trans women will very soon be the most masculine force in the Democratic Party.”

“Because who are you? I see several of you nodding. Like, who do you think is going to be the most masculine force in the Democratic Party, the beta males or the trans women? I think the trans women are probably going to kind of take over that,” Gaetz added.

In March, a CNN/SSRS poll showed the Democrat Party hitting its lowest favorability rating at just 29%, dropping 20 points since January 2021. Among respondents, over 30% were unable to write in a Democrat leader they felt “best reflects the core values” of the party.

Appeal for congressional Democrats has also dropped among young voters, according to a Harvard Youth Poll, dipping to 23% as of April compared to 42% in spring 2017.

“You wonder how all of this broke out in the election. President Trump was able to overcome a gender gap with women by having a larger gender gap with men. So the coalition on the Republican side was like the non-self-loathing males,” Gaetz continued. “And of any color, stripe, creed, I mean, we had like the cool black guys and the cool Latino guys.”

Post-election exit polls showed President Donald Trump made significant strides among voting blocs that Democrats once had a stronghold on, such as Hispanic and black men. Trump not only gained 14 points among Hispanics nationally since 2020 but also saw gains among black men in swing states like North Carolina, according to Reuters…..”

  11. Speaking of human/child/sex trafficking….

    Daily Caller News Foundation

ENTIRE ARTICLE: “Republican North Carolina Rep. Pat Harrigan partnered with Safe House Project to announce on Tuesday the launch of Simply Report — a free, first of its kind mobile app designed to modernize the fight against human trafficking.

Simply Report’s release comes just weeks after 41 State Attorney Generals wrote a letter to Health and Human Services Secretary Robert Kennedy Jr. claiming the National Human Trafficking Hotline service was not adequately delivering hotline tips to local law enforcement. Safe House Project, a non-profit organization that fights against child sex trafficking, has for years been working on developing the app to supplement the hotline in the modern digital age.

“The National Human Trafficking Hotline had long been an integral part of our work, until it was discovered a few years ago that the organization awarded the grant to run the Hotline, Polaris, was no longer sharing tips from concerned citizens and distressed family members with local law enforcement,” the letter states. “Without those tips, our law enforcement loses critical leads to dismantling trafficking operations. We also lose valuable leads to rescuing the victims of trafficking and helping them begin the road to recovery.”

Simply Report allows users to anonymously report suspected human trafficking in real time. The app uses filters to vet tips and ensure credible leads are given to authorities. It also connects survivors and witnesses to Safe House Project’s nationwide network of safe houses and certified care providers. Simply Report is available on both the Apple App Store and Google Play.

“This means no more black hole, no more overwhelmed officers staring at a wall of main tips, no more guessing,” Kristi Wells, the CEO of Safe House Project, said at a Tuesday press conference. “But just as importantly, if a survivor reaches out and says, I need help, they’re connected to the safe house Project Support Team, a specialist, people ready to connect them to safe shelter, trauma, informed care, legal assistance and medical support they need to begin with their life and recover.”

Harrigan told the Daily Caller News Foundation he has been following Safe House Project’s work for years and wanted to join the organization’s effort because of its “bottom line impact.”

“They really make a difference,” the lawmaker said. “They have transformed the North Carolina human trafficking paradigm. They have provided law enforcement with new resources that didn’t exist before. They’ve provided survivors with a place to get out of the situation they’re in and start healing, and now they’re replicating that across the country.”

Simply Report is available in over 200 languages, making it accessible to people worldwide.

“Every day in this country, someone is doing something that doesn’t sit right. Maybe it’s a teenage girl in a hotel lobby that never makes eye contact. Maybe it’s a young man who is terrified when someone else is controlling a conversation, or a pattern of cars coming and going late at night in the same house,” Wells said. “If people see something, they don’t know what to do next.”

Chief Jarryd Rauhoff of the Biscoe, North Carolina Police Department, used his extensive background in fighting human trafficking in the state to detail how important it is to have accurate, streamlined information.

“I’ve seen firsthand how hidden and complex this crime can be. Human Trafficking doesn’t just happen in big cities or along major highways. It happens in our rural towns and our neighborhoods and sometimes even in the places we least expected,” Rauhoff said. “We’ve had calls come in too late. We’ve had tips pass along without enough detail to follow up on. We’ve had survivors wait on hold for 30 to 45 minutes, long enough to decide it’s not worth it. We’ve had breakdowns in communication that meant local agencies like mine didn’t even know when something was happening in our own backyard. That’s unacceptable.”

“Simply Report is not just another tool, it’s the right tool at the right time,” the police chief added.

Human trafficking survivors like Audrey Morrissey, executive director of My Life, My Choice and advisor to the Department of State’s U.S. Council on Human Trafficking, played a significant role in the creation of the app.

“This app is powerful, not because it’s flashy, but because it’s practical. It empowers everyday people to act. It gives law enforcement the credible things they need, and also helps open the doors for survivors to find safety and healing much sooner,” Morrissey said at the press conference. “We are launching a movement to end trafficking in the U.S. by 2030.”

Harrigan told the DCNF that human trafficking within our own borders is a crucial aspect of national security and is part of the reasons voters elected President Donald Trump for a second term.

“We saw that the American people believed we weren’t doing so well [in November]. We needed to secure our southern border and part of that is from a cartel perspective – a drug perspective. The other part of it is from human trafficking,” Harrigan said. “They are kind of bedfellows with one another. You don’t really find one without finding the others, and the exploited in that middle territory, the human trafficking piece, is often American citizens. We have to be cognizant of that. We have to take care of our fellow American citizens first.”

“The U.S. Navy has lost another F/A-18 Super Hornet in the Red Sea—its second in just over a week—after a failed landing attempt on the USS Harry S. Truman on Tuesday.

Four people familiar with the situation told CNN that the jet ran into problems while trying to land, and both the pilot and weapons officer had to eject. They were picked up by a rescue helicopter and suffered only minor injuries. The fighter jet, however, sank into the sea and has not been recovered.

The Navy is still investigating what went wrong. Two of the sources said the problem had to do with the arresting gear, a system that helps jets stop when landing on a carrier. The jet was lost just hours after Iran-backed Houthi rebels reportedly fired at the Truman, despite President Donald Trump saying earlier in the day that a ceasefire was in place. It’s unclear if the two events are connected.

Trump announced the U.S. will stop bombing Houthi rebels after the group agreed to halt attacks on ships in the Gulf of Aden. Trump said the Houthis had “capitulated,” ending a campaign that began in response to repeated strikes on commercial and U.S. naval vessels.

The Truman has faced several serious issues during its time in the region, as just last week it lost an F/A-18 Super Hornet overboard while making a sharp turn to evade Houthi attacks in the Red Sea. Navy personnel lost control of the jet while towing it inside the hangar bay, causing it—and a tow tractor—to fall into the sea and injure one sailor.

The Truman collided with a merchant ship near Port Said in February and was involved in a friendly fire incident in December when the USS Gettysburg mistakenly shot down a U.S. jet. Trump redesignated the Houthis as a foreign terrorist group in January and ordered continued strikes in response to their attacks on regional shipping.”

  13. OMG! Get the hell out of CA!!!!

EXCERPT: (The Center Square) – A new analysis has found California gasoline prices could rise to $8.44 per gallon by the end of 2026 after the pending closure of two refineries — one-fifth of the state’s refining capacity — and the onset of new state regulations. California gas prices are the nation’s highest, at $4.78 per gallon for regular-grade gasoline Tuesday, per AAA.

The new study from University of Southern California professor Michael A. Mische examined California’s historical gas prices, oil supply and refining capacity, and modeled the likely impact of refinery closures and costly new fossil fuel and refinery fees and regulations.

“The shutdown of the two California-based refineries could possibly place the Golden State in a precarious economic situation and create a gasoline deficit potentially ranging from 6.6 million to 13.1 million gallons a day, as defined by the shortfall between consumption and production,” wrote Mische.

“Reductions in fuel supplies of this magnitude will resonate throughout multiple supply chains affecting production, costs, and prices across many industries such as air travel, food delivery, agricultural production, manufacturing, electrical power generation, distribution, groceries and healthcare.”

“Based on current demand and consumption assumptions and estimates, the combined consequences of the 2025 Phillips 66 refinery closure and the April 2026 Valero refinery closure, together with the potential impact of legislative actions such as, but not limited to, the new LCFS standard, increase in excise taxes, Cap and Trade, SBX1-2, and ABX2-1, the estimated average consumer price of regular gasoline could potentially increase by as much as 75% from the April 23, 2025, price of $4.816 to $7.348 to $8.435 a gallon by calendar year end 2026,” continued Mische.

Mische said the high delta between California gas prices and that of other states is the result of state taxes and fees, and policies that have reduced in-state oil production and refining capacity faster than gasoline demand has fallen…..”

Independent Medical Alliance, May 07, 2025

ENTIRE ARTICLE: “The Independent Medical Alliance (IMA) today announces the release of the second edition of the Journal of Independent Medicine, a peer-reviewed, conflict-free publication created to restore scientific integrity and transparency in medical research. This new volume arrives as the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) launches a high-profile investigation into conflicts of interest and editorial bias within top-tier medical journals—highlighting the urgent need for truly independent platforms.

“The timing of this issue could not be more important,” said Dr. Joseph Varon, Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Independent Medicine and President of IMA. “As federal investigators scrutinize the cozy relationships between pharmaceutical sponsors and journal editors, our publication stands as a beacon of impartial, science-driven inquiry. We don’t take money from drug companies and every article undergoes a double-blind peer review process. We don’t silence dissent. We exist to tell the scientific truth—wherever it leads.”

The Journal of Independent Medicine was launched on February 18, 2025, with the goal of publishing high-quality, peer-reviewed research that prioritizes patients over profits and scientific truth over political or corporate agendas. With 43 esteemed editorial board members representing 17 countries, the journal brings together a truly global network of experts committed to advancing medicine through unbiased, rigorous inquiry. Every article is judged solely on scientific merit—free from external influence or institutional bias.

    Dr. Varon continued:

“This journal is the antidote to editorial gatekeeping that has suppressed rigorous debate and sidelined research that challenges the status quo. At a time when trust in medical institutions is eroding, our mission is clear: publish research that puts patients before profits.”

  18. Luna introduces bill to repeal the Patriot Act
    fta
Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL) introduced legislation to “fully repeal the Patriot Act.”

“Today, I introduced the ‘American Privacy Restoration Act’ to FULLY REPEAL the Patriot Act and strip rogue intelligence officers of their extraordinary mass surveillance powers,” Luna said.

“Since the passage of the USA Patriot Act in the aftermath of 9/11, intelligence agency officials have used their mass surveillance tools to settle personal scores, interfere in elections, and spy on untold numbers of innocent Americans. This abuse must come to an end!” she added.

“For over two decades, rogue actors within our U.S. intelligence agencies have used the Patriot Act to create the most sophisticated, unaccountable surveillance apparatus in the Western world,” Luna said in a press release.

“My legislation will strip the deep state of these tools and protect every American’s fourth amendment right against unreasonable searches and seizures. It’s past time to reign in our intelligence agencies and restore the right to privacy. Anyone trying to convince you otherwise is using ‘security’ as an excuse to erode your freedom,” she added.

  19. “To reduce damage to the statue, and to protect the dignity of a Dublin symbol, city authorities have posted the notices in a week-long pilot project while they ponder other ways to shield the bronze figure from ‘tactile appreciation’.

“I was here a few days ago and got to touch them then,” said Anders Oustid, 42, from Norway. “I don’t think they should stop people. It’s a fun gimmick that you can come here and touch the boobs. It’s good luck and apparently means that you’ll get to come back to Dublin.”

  20. These laws would require motorists to install something called an Intelligent Speed Assist (ISA) system, which can limit a car’s ability to accelerate. The technology takes control of the car when it reaches a certain high speed – and it even knows a road’s speed limit.

ISA systems, which can be installed during a car’s manufacture or afterward, use GPS to identify the speed limit on a road segment and can stop drivers from exceeding a programmed speed. Two versions of the technology exist: a passive ISA system that uses tactile or audible warnings to alert the driver, and an active system that blocks acceleration once the maximum threshold is reached – working through the gas pedal rather than the brake.

  21. “Way back in 1971 (yeah – it’s hard to believe it’s been around that long), a 30-year-old engineer named Ray Tomlinson sat at his terminal at Bolt Beranek and Newman (Now Raytheon) and changed communication forever.

Working on ARPANET, the precursor to today’s internet, Tomlinson faced a simple challenge: how could messages be sent between different computers on a network? At that time, electronic messages could only be sent to users on the same computer. His breakthrough came with a simple but ingenious solution—using the @ symbol to separate the user name from the host computer name. This user@host format remains the global standard fifty years later.

Tomlinson’s first test message was sent between two computers sitting side by side in his lab. While he later admitted he couldn’t remember the exact content of that first message, he suggested it was probably something like “QWERTYUIOP” or “testing 123.”

What’s remarkable is that Tomlinson wasn’t assigned to create email. He developed it as a side project while working on other ARPANET protocols. His supervisor only learned about it after the fact.

The modern controversy surrounding email’s invention comes from Shiva Ayyadurai’s claim to have invented email in 1978. However, most computer historians maintain that Tomlinson’s 1971 innovation was the true birth of networked electronic mail. While email has evolved dramatically since those early days, Tomlinson’s core innovation – enabling messages to travel between separate computers via a network – remains the foundation of electronic communication used by billions of people (and scammers) every day.”

According to CNN, UnidosUs, the nation’s largest Hispanic civil rights and advocacy organization, “found that 43% of Latino voters fear immigration authorities will arrest people, even if they are US citizens.”

“The city of Philadelphia also canceled its El Carnaval de Puebla festival this year, an annual event in April that celebrates Mexican culture.” Olga Renteria, the festival organizer, said that people are being ‘cautious.’ In Oregon, organizers also canceled the annual Latino Fest scheduled for December in Madras.”

  24. EXCERPT: “Former President Joe Biden claimed in an interview broadcast Wednesday that it was difficult for him to drop out of the 2024 presidential election because his single term in office was a great success.

Biden told BBC in his first broadcast interview since exiting the White House that his administration was “so successful on our agenda,” adding that it was a “hard decision” for him to step down from the presidential race. He added that he does not think “it would have mattered” if he had abandoned his reelection bid at an earlier time.

“Things moved so quickly that it made it difficult to walk away,” Biden said. “And it was a hard decision. I think it was the right decision. I think that… it was just a difficult decision.”

Biden claimed that the Democrats had a “good candidate” in the 2024 presidential election, in reference to his Vice President Kamala Harris, who replaced him on the Democratic ticket after he dropped out of the race in July 2024 following a disastrous presidential debate performance.

President Donald Trump soundly defeated Harris in the general election, winning the popular vote and sweeping all seven battleground states…..”

“MAJOR FUNDING going into transgenic edible plant vaccine research
Rep Thomas Massie tried to stop it but funding was APPROVED
Taxpayer dollars are being spent to develop mRNA vaccines grown into lettuce and spinach people eat “In the AG Approps bill, I tried to defund research for transgenic edible plant vaccines. And it sounds kinda scary, but it is scary. We are actually funding with taxpayer dollars research on vaccines to be grown in lettuce and spinach so that when people eat their lettuce and spinach, they will get vaccinated with whatever vaccine that plant is producing.
I don’t think we need to be playing God with our spinach, and if somebody wants to do that, there probably needs to be tighter rules on it because pollen can escape and pollute plants in neighboring farms who never intended to be growing vaccines in their food.
So I tried to put some rules on that in the AG Approps bill bill, and I was able to stop taxpayer dollar spending in that AG Approps bill, but they threw that bill in the trash and did an omnibus instead.
So guess what? Now you got another year of transgenic edible plant vaccine research”
More huge funding research is going into this – National Science Foundation (NSF): A notable example is a $500,000 grant awarded to the University of California, Riverside to study the production of mRNA vaccines in edible plants like lettuce. The project, led by Juan Pablo Giraldo, aimed to develop plant-based mRNA vaccine factories, with additional funding of $1.6 million for related nanotechnology research to deliver genetic material to chloroplasts
    – National Institutes of Health (NIH): ProdiGene, a now-defunct company, received an unspecified NIH grant to develop a transgenic edible vaccine in corn
    – National Institute of Food and Agriculture (NIFA): Fort Valley State University in Georgia received funding (amount unspecified) starting in 2016 for a five-year project to develop transgenic alfalfa expressing the cholera toxin B subunit (CTB) for edible vaccines
Many more international funding is also taking place to develop these “Edible vaccines” with “nanotechnology””

  29. They need to get these savages under control, FFS!!!!

Just The News: “Dozens of masked anti-Israel protesters on Wednesday stormed one of Columbia University’s libraries as students were prepping for their final exams.

The Ivy League school served as the epicenter of the antisemitic protests that broke out at numerous colleges across the country last year, and has been engulfed in a federal funding battle with the Trump administration over its crackdown on antisemitism.

It is not clear how many protesters raided the library, but the New York Post reported that the demonstrators pushed past a security guard to get into the building and hung up signs over bookshelves. One of the signs declared the library a “liberated zone” and another featured the name of an anti-Israel activist who was killed by the Israeli Defense Forces in 2017.

The protest comes the same day that House Republicans grilled university presidents on Capitol Hill about antisemitism on their campuses, but the acting president of Columbia University was not among them.”
