Topanga

Today is Danielle Fischel’s birthday.  Probably known best as Topanga Lawrence in the tv series Boy Meets World, she was born in 1981. This article, from Mental Floss, details 25 surprising facts about the series Boy Meets World.

From Mental Floss:

On September 24, 1993, television audiences were introduced to Cory Matthews (Ben Savage) and his lovable group of friends, family members, and one very important teacher when Boy Meets World made its premiere on ABC. Over the course of seven seasons, fans followed the teen shenanigans of Cory and his buddies, including best friend Shawn (Rider Strong) and girlfriend Topanga (Danielle Fishel). In 2012, old and new fans alike got to revisit Cory and Topanga—now married—as they raised their own teenage daughter in a spinoff, Girl Meets World.

On the 25th anniversary of the original series’ premiere, here are 25 things you might not have known about Boy Meets World.

1. CORY WAS ORIGINALLY SUPPOSED TO HAVE TWO BEST FRIENDS.

In the first three episodes of the show, Cory has a second friend, in addition to Shawn. The show was originally going to feature Cory’s friends as a group, rather than a duo, so the showrunners kept rotating in new friends. But the characters didn’t stick. The cast even started calling the cafeteria chair that those characters sat in the “death chair” because the actors would never return. Finally, in the season one episode “Cory’s Alternative Friends,” Topanga was introduced and the notion of another best friend was lost.

2. SHAWN HAD A SISTER, BUT SHE WAS ONLY EVER MENTIONED ONCE.

In the “Cory’s Alternative Friends” episode, Shawn telephones his sister Stacy. In later episodes, Shawn doesn’t have a sister. Why? It has to do with the aforementioned plan for Corey to have two best friends. While filming the episode, the actor who was going to play one of those friends was fired. Rider Strong, who played Shawn, was given all of his lines at the last minute. In the original script, Stacy wasn’t Shawn’s sister. So, she never shows up in the show again.

3. MR. TURNER DISAPPEARED.

What’s with all the disappearing Boy Meets World characters? Mr. Turner played a vital role in the high school years of the show. Shawn even lives with him for a time. But in the fourth season episode “Cult Fiction,” Mr. Turner gets into a life-threatening motorcycle accident. He never appears on the show again and is rarely mentioned. In the next season, during the graduation episode, Minkus (who has also been MIA since season one) mentions Mr. Turner, saying that they had just been on “the other side of the school.” Mysterious.

Strong claimed that the twentysomething Mr. Turner was written into the show because Friends was popular at the time. But he didn’t quite fit into the show. He did, however, seem to fit into Girl Meets World: He appeared in three episodes of the spinoff.

4. MEMBERS OF TOPANGA’S FAMILY ALSO DISAPPEARED.

Topanga’s family tree is also all over the place. Like Stacy, Topanga’s older sister, Nebula, is a one-episode wonder. She appears in the season one episode “She Loves Me, She Loves Me Not,” but is never mentioned again. And Topanga is later referred to as an only child. Topanga’s parents were played by five different actors over the course of the show: Peter Tork, Michael McKean, and Mark Harelik played her father, and her mother was played by both Annette O’Toole and Marcia Cross.

5. STUART MINKUS’S NAME WAS CHANGED FOR A REASON.

The writers changed Lee Norris’s character’s name to “Stuart Minkus” after it was discovered that there was an actual Stuart Lempke (the character’s original name) living in Philadelphia, which is where the show takes place.

6. DANIELLE FISHEL WASN’T THE FIRST TOPANGA.

Topanga was originally played by a different actress who ultimately didn’t work out for the part. On Fishel’s first day, she made the character very upbeat and peppy—but after rehearsal, co-creator Michael Jacobs waited until everyone went home and had a meeting with her in which he told her that he wanted Topanga to be more of a slow, calm character, and they went through the script line by line. Fishel was terrified that she’d lost the part like the actress who played Topanga before her, so she spent all night practicing the part.

After the next day’s run-through, Fishel recalled that, “Michael started the notes session off with me again. My heart stopped beating regularly, and my palms got sweaty: ‘Danielle, yesterday I gave you an enormous amount of notes. I did that because I believed you were capable of handling them,’ he said in front of all the writers and producers and my fellow actors. Then he stood up. I panicked. Was he going to fire me, slam his script on the ground, and storm out of there? ‘However, with your performance today, you exceeded my expectations,’ he concluded. He started clapping, and all the writers stood up and clapped next to him. Michael wasn’t going to fire me. He believed in me. He gave me a freaking standing ovation.”

7. ANOTHER CHARACTER THAT WAS REPLACED: MORGAN MATTHEWS.

In the first two seasons, Lily Nicksay played the youngest member of the Matthews family, Morgan. Then, a few episodes into season three, Lindsay Ridgeway took over the role of Morgan. It was never explained why Nicksay was replaced. In the third season, Corey says, “Morgan, long time no see.” She responds, “Yeah, that was the longest time out I’ve ever had!” Nicksay—who now goes by Lily Gibson—made a few reunion appearances with the cast and even appeared on an episode of Girl Meets World.

8. TOPANGA WAS NAMED AFTER TOPANGA CANYON.

It was taking a while to come up with Topanga’s name and it ended up becoming a last-minute decision.According to Fishel, “Michael Jacobs says he was driving down the highway when production called and said, ‘We need a name for this character!’ He happened to be driving past Topanga Canyon, so he said, ‘Topanga.’ He says that if they had called him two miles later, I would’ve been named Canoga, which is the next exit.”

9. THE YOUNG ACTORS WENT TO SCHOOL TOGETHER.

Just like the show, the set itself revolved around a classroom. During the show’s early years, Savage, Fishel, Strong, and Will Friedle (Eric) were all still in school. Fishel later explained, “When we started the show, we had little sectioned off areas for each one of us to try to focus and work with our own individual teachers, but it always ended up being more like a regular school classroom with all of us chiming in and learning little bits of what everyone else was learning.”

10. RIDER STRONG HATED SHAWN’S HAIRCUT.

Though Shawn’s haircut was beloved by the fans, Strong didn’t feel the same way. Unfortunately, he wasn’t allowed to change it. “I hated my hair. I came to the audition with that hairstyle, got the part, and the director Michael Jacobs never let me cut it from there on out,” Strong said. “A bunch of girls at a sleepover told me to wear my hair like that—parted down the center—and I was 12, so I listened. It was my version of Christian Slater. But my hair is wavy and they would straighten it on the show and it would take forever. I wanted to cut my hair so bad, but the only time I got to was when we found out the show was going to be canceled.”

11. STRONG STOLE SHAWN’S FAMOUS LEATHER JACKET.

When the show ended, Strong made off with a nice souvenir. “Disney wouldn’t let us take anything, but I had a leather jacket that I had bought on my own, and I swapped it,” he said. Unfortunately, someone later stole the jacket from his car in Brooklyn. Strong wasn’t the only rebel in the cast; Savage admitted to stealing a pair of shoes from the show as well.

12. SCENES BETWEEN ERIC AND SHAWN WERE LIMITED FOR A REASON.

Friedle and Strong remain close friends to this day. Their undeniable chemistry made for some hard-to-shoot scenes. In a 2013 reunion, Friedle admitted, “They never let Rider and I do scenes together because we would look at each other and start laughing, so I think over seven years, we had, like, five scenes together.”

13. THE CHARACTERS GO TO JOHN ADAMS HIGH SCHOOL, WHICH IS A POSSIBLE REFERENCE TO WILLIAM DANIELS.

Though it hasn’t been confirmed, many Boy Meets World fans believe that John Adams High School is a nod to Daniels’s career. He played John Adams in the musical and film version of 1776. Another reference to his career: Mr. Feeny calls The Graduate a “great film.” Daniels played Mr. Braddock in the movie.

14. DANIELS DID HAVE A FEENY-ESQUE VIBE ON SET.

He didn’t exactly mentor the kids, as fans might hope. The child actors were definitely intrigued by him, though. They originally thought he was British because he came across as very proper. “There wasn’t a whole lot of socializing off set, but we revered the character and the man,” Savage later said. “When he’d come on set, we’d talk, we’d listen, and we’d absorb, and then he would vanish, like some sort of magical person that just pops into your life. He was like a mystic. He always taught us things, and there was so much to absorb from him.”

15. THE “AND THEN THERE WAS SHAWN” EPISODE WAS A CAST FAVORITE.

Both Friedle and Strong have pointed to the season five episode as a favorite. The 1998 episode was inspired by ’90s horror movies like Scream. The episode co-starred Jennifer Love Hewitt, who was dating Friedle in real life. Her character’s name, by the way, was Jennifer Love Fefferman. It’s no wonder the cast “could barely get through the scenes,” as Friedle put it. “We were laughing so hard.”

16. MANY FUTURE STARS APPEARED ON THE SHOW.

Jennifer Love Hewitt wasn’t the only star to make a guest appearance on Boy Meets World. Future Parks and Recreation star Adam Scott played school bully Griff Hawkins on the second season. Freaks and Geeks star Linda Cardellini spent a few episodes almost breaking up Cory and Topanga. In 1995, the same year that Clueless came out, Brittany Murphy played Trini for two episodes. A couple of future Buffy stars also appeared on the show: Charisma Carpenter and Julie Benz.

Perhaps the most surprising Boy Meets World guest star is Blake Sennett, who would go on to be the lead guitarist for the band Rilo Kiley and frontman of The Elected. During his child acting days, Sennett went by the name Blake Soper. Like Scott, he played a school bully: Joseph “Joey the Rat” Epstein. His first appearance was in season two and he popped up periodically until the episode “Graduation” in season five.

17. THE SHOW SKIPS SOME GRADES.

Though the show definitely leaps ahead in time, it’s hard to tell when those leaps occur. In season one, Cory, Shawn, and Topanga are in sixth grade. In the season two premiere, the characters are officially seventh graders and enter high school. Then, in the season four episode “I Ain’t Gonna Spray Lettuce No More,” the characters are referred to as 11th graders. Season five represents their senior year and they enter college in season six. Somewhere in there, a couple grades were lost.

18. STRONG WANTED TO QUIT THE SHOW TO GO TO COLLEGE.

Strong approached the showrunners about quitting to focus on his studies, but Jacobs convinced him that it was possible to do the show while attending college. Strong took all morning classes and then went to work. He even had a dorm room, as the school required, though he didn’t stay there every night. In 2004, four years after the show ended, Strong graduated with an English degree from Columbia University. The academic life suited him; in 2009, he earned an MFA from Bennington College.

19. MAITLAND WARD DIDN’T AUDITION.

Maitland Ward, who joined the show during its college years, had actually auditioned for another of Jacobs’s shows, Zoe, Duncan, Jack & Jane. He really liked her, but she didn’t end up getting cast. Instead, he later called her to take the role of Jack (Matthew Lawrence) and Eric’s roommate (and crush), Rachel.

20. MICHAEL JACOBS’S SON PLAYED JOSHUA MATTHEWS.

Joshua Matthews is the younger brother of Cory and Eric, who was born during the sixth season. The part was played by various babies until the season finale, when Daniel Jacobs, son of creator Michael Jacobs, played him. Interestingly, Daniel had already made a cameo that season as a different character. He wasn’t originally supposed to be in the episode, but the child actor that they had cast was being too chatty when he was supposed to be silent during a scene. So, Jacobs called his wife, who promptly brought in Daniel to play the part.

21. WILLIE GARSON PLAYED THREE DIFFERENT CHARACTERS.

Another famous guest star: Willie Garson, a.k.a. Stanford Blatch in Sex and the City. In two first season episodes, Garson can be seen as the assistant manager of the Market Giant supermarket, where Cory’s father works. He appears again a few years later as Mervyn, who applies for a job at the Matthews’ store. Then, in season seven, he’s the minister who marries Cory and Topanga.

22. ABC RAN AN ONLINE POLL ASKING WHETHER CORY AND TOPANGA SHOULD GET MARRIED.

Jacobs wanted the iconic couple to marry before the show ended. ABC disagreed with the decision. The network executives thought that the characters, who were 20 years old, were far too young to get married. It was actually Jacobs who suggested the Internet poll. The audience wanted to see their favorite couple marry, and they did midway through the last season.

23. THE TEARS IN THE FINALE WERE GENUINE.

The last scene in the classroom with Mr. Feeny was only filmed once. “We did that last scene in one take because we were such a wreck,” Strong explained. Ben Savage has said that the last scene was his favorite memory of the show. “When they said, ‘Cut!’ on that final take, it was almost like someone was saying, ‘Say goodbye to your childhood,’” he recalled.

24. THE FINAL SCENE IS THE ONLY SCENE IN THE SHOW WHERE WE SEE FISHEL’S TATTOO.

Because the scene was only filmed once, the crew had four cameras set up to capture all the action. Midway through the scene, a writer asked Jacobs, “What’s on [Danielle’s] neck?” He responded, “Chinese letters.” The writer asked, “Did you ever know they were there before?” Michael responded, “Hair has never given her pigtails before.” Those pigtails revealed a tattoo on Danielle’s neck, which is visible if you look closely,

25. MANY OF THE CHARACTERS RETURNED FOR GIRL MEETS WORLD.

Jacobs has said, “Whoever wants to be part of this show will be and whoever wants to move on will.”

  1. Good morning! Bright sunny day here, no sign of Wheezer.

    EXCERPT: “……A Fix Is Needed

Keep in mind that these examples of Republican betrayal are only from the first few months of 2025. As The Federalist previously reported, this type of behavior is rampant in many so-called “red states” every year and largely goes unnoticed.

What’s become evident at both the federal and state levels is that most Republicans — particularly those representing “dark red” areas — aren’t actually conservative. Rather, they’re opportunists who learned to play the game of politics.

In today’s political environment, any self-professed Republican can fashion himself as an “America First” candidate. By tying themselves to President Trump, regurgitating Fox News talking points, and rallying behind a widely supported, noncontroversial issue (like tax cuts or school choice), these bad actors are able to feign the appearance of being conservative without having to prove it.

To rectify this alarming trend, it is incumbent upon GOP voters to look below the surface level of these candidates and thoroughly vet them in any given primary. That means digging into their voting records, finding out where they stand on party leadership disputes, and examining any other aspect of their history relevant to their candidacy.

This guidance also applies to Trump and his team.

All too often, the president has supported establishment-backed Republicans who say nice things about him but actively seek to thwart his and his voters’ agenda. He recently endorsed neocon Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., for reelection, and he is reportedly preparing to endorse Burrows and Texas House Republicans who back a school choice proposal he favors.

Turning the GOP into a real “America First” party isn’t something that will be solved in one election cycle. It’s a years-long effort that will require extensive grassroots activism and pressure on conservative leaders like Trump to ensure that the candidates seeking to fill the party’s ranks actually care about and will fight for the voters’ wishes.”

  2. Bright sunny day this morning – no sign of Wheezer.

Just The News: “President Trump said on Sunday during “Meet the Press” that he’s not lifting the emergency declaration on the southern border.

Trump declared the emergency in January. “We have an emergency. We have a massive emergency overall. It’s an overall emergency on immigration. And the — if the courts don’t allow us to take people out, if we had to have a court case every single — think of it,” Trump said. “Every single person, we have millions of people. If you have millions of court cases, figure two weeks a court case, it would be 300 years,” he added.

Trump said the biggest emergency now is the courts trying to block his deportation efforts. “The border now is not the emergency. The border is — it’s all part of the same thing though. The big emergency right now is that we have thousands of people that we want to take out, and we have some judges that want everybody to go to court,” he said.

Trump was asked about possibly bringing Kilmar Abrego Garcia back from El Salvador after he was deported over suspected gang ties. The Supreme Court ruled that the administration has to facilitate his return. The moderator specifically asked Trump if he is defying the high court by not bringing Abrego Garcia.

“No. I’m relying on the attorney general of the United States, Pam Bondi, who’s very capable, doing a great job. Because I’m not involved in the legality or the illegality. I have lawyers to do that and that’s why I have a great DOJ. We have a great one. We had a very corrupt one before,” he said. “Now we have a great one. And they’re not viewing the decision the way you said it. They don’t view it that way at all. They think it’s a totally different decision.”

  3. IMO, this is bull shit!!! NE had it done within about a year of the law being passed, as did many other states. It is NOT difficult!!!

Just The News: “(The Center Square) — Maine officials are asking the Trump administration to delay the strict enforcement of a new requirement that people show a federally approved ID to fly commercially.

In a letter to the Transportation Security Administration and Department of Homeland Security, Maine’s Secretary of State Shenna Bellows and other state leaders formally requested a phased-in approach to the implementation of the Real ID Act, a 2005 law aimed at enhancing national security following the 9/11 terrorist attacks. The deadline for all states to comply is now May 7.

The bipartisan group of Maine officials pointed out that while the state Bureau of Motor Vehicles has reported a sharp uptick in the number of applications for Real IDs in recent months, as of April, only 27% of the drivers’ licenses issued by the state have TSA-compliant credentials.

They said the mandate will create travel disruptions and airport delays ahead of the busy tourist season, and want the Trump administration not to strictly enforce the law by issuing warnings to air travelers without federally compliant identification.

“We are very concerned,” Bellows said at a news conference Thursday. “We want Mainers to be able to get to where they need to go.”

State Rep. Wayne Parry, a Republican, said Maine “has every intention of complying with the Real ID Act and is acting quickly to ensure as many Mainers as possible have a TSA-compliant credential in case they need to fly.”

“But the same things that make Maine a wonderful place to live and a popular vacation destination also makes coming into compliance a difficult and time-consuming process,” he said. “The facts are that Maine is a very large state with a spread-out population. It will take time, and we will get there. But we need the TSA to give us the time to get there.” [NF: YOU’VE HAD 20 FRICKING YEARS!!!]

In a statement, the TSA suggested that despite Maine’s request, any changes to enforcement of the decades-old law are unlikely ahead of next week’s deadline to comply. “The REAL ID Act was passed 20 years ago to address security vulnerability,” the agency said. “This administration and (the) DHS secretary have determined that it’s important that we keep the implementation date of May 7, 2025, and that we enforce the law.”

Under the rules, U.S. travelers aged 18 and older must show a REAL ID-compliant driver’s license or another acceptable form of identification – such as a passport – to board domestic flights or enter many federal buildings. Air passengers without a passport, REAL ID, military ID or other federal credential will be subject to a secondary screening, according to the TSA.

Originally, states were supposed to comply with the Real ID law by the end of 2009. However, lawsuits delayed the law’s implementation and federal authorities have repeatedly pushed back the deadline to give states time to change their procedures and update technology.

Maine was one of the last states in the nation to become compliant with the federal law, and the state is currently tied with Washington for having the third-lowest percentage of residents with Real IDs, according to Homeland Security.

The Democratic-led state has also been targeted by the Trump administration for defying President Donald Trump’s executive order on transgender athletes competing in girls’ and women’s sports.”

“President Donald Trump delivered a blistering review of Democratic Rep. Jasmine Crockett of Texas during an interview that aired on “Meet the Press” Sunday.

“I mean, look at the Democrats,” Trump told “Meet the Press” host Kristen Welker. “They’re in total disarray. They have a new person named Crockett. I watched her speak the other day; she’s definitely a low-IQ person, and they said she’s the future of the party. I said you have to be kidding.”

Crockett has become a significant media presence for Democrats since she clashed with Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia during a May 2024 House Oversight Committee hearing. Crockett has also been known for using profanity during Congressional hearings and for calling Republican Gov. Greg Abbott of Texas “Governor Hot Wheels” in reference to Abbott’s use of a wheelchair after he was paralyzed following a back injury.

“I really believe in a two-party system, because it’s good to be challenged, it’s really good to have a two-party[…]Being challenged is okay, it keeps you sharp,” Trump said. “I don’t know what they’re gonna do. They have nobody. Bernie’s 87 years old or something, and you know, Biden is the worst thing that ever happened to old people.”

Independent Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont joined Democratic Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York on an “anti-oligarchy” tour targeting Trump and White House Senior Advisor Elon Musk.

“He’s a nutjob,” Trump said of Sanders, “but he’s still sharp. He’s sharp… he’s the same guy as he was. He hasn’t gone down, but Biden is really, he’s the worst thing to happen to old people.”

  5. Daily Caller News Foundation

“Voters in Cameron County, Texas, overwhelmingly approved on Saturday a measure to incorporate Elon Musk’s rocket complex near Brownsville as a new municipality called Starbase.

Unofficial results posted Saturday night showed 98% of the 177 ballots cast supported the creation of the town, which includes SpaceX facilities and housing tied to the company, according to The Wall Street Journal. Only residents living within the proposed town’s boundaries were eligible to vote, most of whom work for or are affiliated with SpaceX.

Once county commissioners certify the election, Starbase will begin operating as an official municipality under Texas law, which marks the launch of a rare company-run town where most residents are tied to SpaceX. The new town will oversee zoning, budgeting, and staffing while adhering to state transparency rules such as open meetings and public records requirements.

SpaceX has said little publicly about its plans, but company officials previously suggested the town could help streamline operations and support workforce growth. SpaceX vice president Bobby Peden was elected mayor of the new town, and legal experts noted that state law includes conflict-of-interest rules for public officials employed by private firms operating within the municipality.

Local officials have expressed support for the company due to the thousands of jobs and tourism revenue generated by Starbase, since SpaceX employs roughly 3,400 workers and contractors at Starbase. However, some residents and environmental groups remain concerned about increased rocket activity, limited beach access, and the town’s close ties to the company that created it.

The Starbase site has become central to Musk’s vision of human spaceflight, particularly SpaceX’s development of Starship, a nearly 400-foot rocket designed for missions to the moon and Mars. Though early test flights have ended in explosions, recent missions have demonstrated partial recovery capabilities, and Musk described the area as a “Gateway to Mars.”

Musk will not hold a formal political role in Starbase, but the town is his brainchild, and since announcing the idea in 2021, he has urged employees to move there and expanded his personal and corporate presence in Texas. He relocated his primary residence and key businesses to the state and now lives in a $35 million compound in Austin.”

EXCERPT: “Republican Texas Gov. Greg Abbott signed a sweeping school choice bill into law Saturday after spending years attempting to pass similar measures in the state.

The Texas Senate voted 19-12 on April 24 to accept House revisions to Senate Bill 2, sending the bill to the governor’s desk on April 29. The legislation, which will allow eligible parents to use public funds to help cover the cost of school tuition at any institution of the parents’ choosing, sets a $1 billion budget for the first year, though the cap will be removed the following year.

“Texas parents will finally have the power to choose what’s best for their kids,” the governor posted on X prior to the bill’s signing.

Under the legislation, children admitted into the voucher program will receive 85% of what public schools receive per student, which is currently around $10,000 per year, KXAN reported. Because only a limited number of students will be accepted into the program, students with disabilities whose family household income is at or below 500% of the federal poverty line will receive the highest priority level. Parents of students with disabilities who are accepted into the program will be eligible to receive up to $30,000 annually……”

  8. “When bees get tired of flying, they will sometimes fall asleep in flowers… Awesome pictures!”

    Strange Sounds, May 05, 2025

“Bees sometimes fall asleep in flowers due to a combination of exhaustion and temperature regulation.

When foraging, bees expend a lot of energy collecting nectar and pollen, and if they’re out late in the day or get caught in cooler weather, they may seek shelter in a flower to rest.

Flowers provide a cozy, enclosed space that traps heat, helping the bee maintain its body temperature (since bees can’t fly if they get too cold).

Sometimes, they’re also “drunk” on fermented nectar, which can make them drowsy. It’s a practical nap spot for a hardworking bee!”

  9. “Ukraine Biolabs Update: The Biolabs existed. The Russian Federation saw them as a threat, and the USG engaged in an active propaganda campaign to deny the obvious evidence. One report indicates US bombing of these.”

Robert W Malone MD, MS, May 05, 2025

EXCERPT: “On March 09 and 10, 2022, Malone.news published two primary source articles focused on the Ukraine Biolabs. These articles provided direct evidence that the United States Government was funding biological research laboratories in Ukraine. The first of these articles raised the question of whether military action by the Russian Federation to destroy these facilities would be justified, with an analogy drawn to the question of what would be the likely actions of the US Military if it were determined that analogous biological infectious disease research laboratories funded by a global competitor (such as China) were to be discovered in Northern Mexico.

After these articles were published, I was contacted by an active Air Force LTC-rank officer who had direct visibility/intelligence on the early events of the Ukraine conflict that the bombing and destruction via air of those laboratories, attributed by US Corporate media to Russian air force action, was performed by the US Air Force. The implication is that the USG either actively destroyed evidence or acted to prevent the armed forces of the Russian Federation from acquiring information and resources (potentially including biological specimens) from those laboratories.

There is no denying that an active PsyWar propaganda campaign has been deployed to obscure the early events associated with the Ukraine war intentionally. The focus of this propaganda has been to delegitimize the justifications for the invasion of Ukraine offered by the Russian Federation. Any and all in NATO countries who questioned that propaganda campaign were labeled as Russian agents and actively targeted for delegitimization and censorship.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr., while a Democratic candidate for the 2024 presidential election, commented on the existence of U.S. biolabs in Ukraine and their connection to biological weapons research. He stated that these biolabs are developing bioweapons using advanced genetic engineering techniques like CRISPR, which were not available to previous generations.

Kennedy also mentioned that the U.S. has been making bioweapons at places like Wuhan, China, and Ukraine, and that some of the research was moved to the Wuhan laboratory, which is suspected to be the origin point for the COVID-19 pandemic.

The U.S. has long dismissed claims about the biological research laboratories in Ukraine as “Russian propaganda,” until senior State Department official Victoria Nuland unexpectedly confirmed their existence at a 2022 Senate hearing under questioning by Senator Marco Rubio. However, the Pentagon continues to insist that the research is neither illegal nor intended for military purposes.

Following is a comment from a scientist that is deeply embedded in DoD “Biological Countermeasures” planning and operations. The Trump Administration recently appointed this person to a Special Government Employee position, where he will apparently be supporting the White House Office of Pandemic Preparedness, and is rumored to be posted to BARDA (Biodefense Advanced Research and Development Administration).

“As for the Ukranian labs, you should look at the actual DoD agreement and other associated open source materials. The Ukranian labs put out published reports on a variety of public health and agricultural threats, including Swine Fever from China and Congo Crimean Hemorrhagic Fever (CCHF) are some of the more recent ones, as well as public health messaging on topical items that you can watch on youtube. Unannounced inspections of these laboratories by DoD personnel are allowed.

These labs fulfill a vital mission in global surveillance of emerging infectious diseases. Similar to US APHIS program, State public health labs, etc. Most work is low biosafety (BSL 2) although some places have Class III cabinets for things like CCHF. I think one place has a small hood line.

There are no micronizers, spray dryers, aerosol test chambers, particle size counters, etc. needed for biowarfare research and aerosol stabilization testing.

All the mainstream media pundits that suddenly became overnight COVID experts have now suddenly become overnight national foreign policy experts. It is aggravating to watch them cloud the issue and add fuel to the current Russian Chinese propaganda. Plus, it’s a huge waste of everyone’s time having to correct their BS.

Outside of some small seed stock cultures in liquid nitrogen or held in -70 cryofreezers, the Ukranians have nothing in these public health or agriculture labs that the Russians do not already have in their own still very active and sophisticated BW program that nobody talks about.”

  10. Just The News: “The Trump administration said Monday that it will give illegal immigrants $1,000 to leave the U.S. voluntarily.

The Department of Homeland Security also announced that it will also pay for travel assistance, and people who use the CBP Home app to inform the government they are planning to return home will be “deprioritized” for detention and removal by immigration enforcement.

“If you are here illegally, self-deportation is the best, safest and most cost-effective way to leave the United States to avoid arrest. DHS is now offering illegal aliens financial travel assistance and a stipend to return to their home country through the CBP Home App,” Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem said Monday. “This is the safest option for our law enforcement, aliens and is a 70% savings for US taxpayers.”

  11. EXCERPT: “After children from a private Catholic kindergarten in the Italian city of Treviso were brought to a mosque to kneel and pray to Mecca, the conservative League Party is protesting the action. In another photo, the children are kneeling in front of an imam who leads them in prayer. The kindergarten posted: “This morning we were welcomed by the Imam in the Susegana mosque… It was a truly emotional experience. We took off our shoes, the teachers put on a veil and we entered a large room where there was a huge red carpet on the floor with some white stripes where you stand to pray. The imam explained to us that the Muslim religion is based on five pillars and told us that they pray 5 times a day (we even tried).”

The post also makes it clear the school has had previous interactions with the Muslim community…..”

  12. Hello All…we’re back.

we had a great time at the birthday party and a great time with mom, but when we got home? the deck was a mess! We hung the hummer feeders high enough (we thought) to outwit the raccoons–which it did–but not a BIG black bear. He yanked down the feeders, and bit HOLES into the plastic and completely destroyed them. then he yanked down a wind chime i’ve had hanging there for 10 years and tried to chew on the wooden balls. Then he must have still been hungry because he stood on his back feet and left paw prints all over the glass on the front windows. Then he tossed the mouse bait bucket onto the ground and managed to get the top off–which even the raccoons couldn’t do. We spent the last 2 hours cleaning up.

it’s all caught on the trail camera.

    1. Oh, my! See? That’s what you get for being gone so long! ROFL – BTW, how did the line dancing go?

Still no sign of any Orioles yet but the House finches love the jelly! I got my trellis painted yesterday and discussed putting it up with Jason earlier today when he mowed. Since clematis can worm it’s way behind the siding and eventually reach the gutters, we’re going to zip-tie it to 2 t-posts (painted white) to keep it off the house. It will certainly be eye-catching w/one purple and one red clematis but I still want to add a white one. At least it will be close to red-white-blue!

      1. oh, there was much more excitement than line dancing!!!!!
we got there and her friends were already there, the music playing and them dancing. So we ate and mingled and we’re wondering when we were going to sing Happy Birthday. My daughter said HE’S not here yet. I asked who? some young man she just met at the place where they line dance. Within 10 minutes he came–cute young man–farmer boy–and he didn’t take his eyes off her or her off him the rest of the party.
We pulled her aside for a few pictures and asked a few questions which she answered–all the while smiling at him and blushing. His name is James–not Jim or Jimmy–James. She just met him and thinks he’s really really cute. I told her some time this week, I’d like more details…lol

    Legal Check: True.

Illegal aliens do not have constitutional due-process rights.

They only get due-process rights if Congress provides those by statute.

And as the commander-in-chief, the President has the inherent Article II power—duty—to repel a foreign invasion.
    Stephen Miller
    @StephenM
The right of “due process” is to protect citizens from their government, not to protect foreign trespassers from removal. Due process guarantees the rights of a criminal defendant facing prosecution, not an illegal alien facing deportation.

Based on conversations I am hearing in DC, the blocking points for

    @USAEdMartin

’s confirmation are currently 5 REPUBLICAN Senators: – Susan Collins

    @SenatorCollins

    – Thom Tillis

    @SenThomTillis

    – John Cornyn

    @JohnCornyn

    – Bill Cassidy

    @SenBillCassidy

    – Mitch McConnell

    @SenMcConnell

This is President Trump’s nominee for DC’s Top Prosecutor. If these Senators delay Ed Martin’s confirmation for just 15 more days, the worst judge in the district, Judge Boasberg, will select DC’s prosecutor rather than the President we voted for. We need immediate action from these 5 Senators, public statements from them if there is some explanation we’re not being told or if this information is incorrect (in which case I will happily retract and update this post), and primaries for them if indeed they run out the clock with no public explanation and instead hand the DC justice system over to its most corrupted judge.

  16. Just The News: “President Donald Trump on Monday kept a promise he made last year by signing an executive order that bans federal funding for gain-of-function research, which is believed to be at the heart of the COVID-19 lab leak in Wuhan, China.

Trump outlined his plan to deal with gain of function research to Just The News‘ John Solomon on his podcast last October.

“For decades, policies overseeing gain-of-function research on pathogens, toxins, and potential pathogens have lacked adequate enforcement, transparency, and top-down oversight,” the White House said in a fact sheet obtained by Fox News. “Researchers have not acknowledged the legitimate potential for societal harms that this kind of research poses.”

  19. Oh, FFS!!! Puh-leeze!!!

National Pulse: “Former Vice President Mike Pence continued his criticism of President Donald J. Trump while accepting the John F. Kennedy Profile in Courage Award this weekend, ostensibly for refusing to question the election results in a handful of swing states during the 2020 presidential election. The former Trump ally turned critic, likely out of fear of backlash from the Republican voting base, avoided mentioning Trump by name, but did take the opportunity to continue to signal his opposition to the America First policy agenda.

“To forge a future together, we have to find common ground,” Pence said, speaking to a room full of what could be best characterized as members of the global political elite. “I hope in some small way my presence here tonight is a reminder that whatever differences we may have as Americans, the Constitution is the common ground on which we stand. It’s what binds us across time and generations… It’s what makes us one people.”

He added that he continues to differ with President Trump and the Make America Great Again movement “on spending, tariffs, and my belief that America is the leader of the free world and must stand with Ukraine until the Russian invasion is repelled and a just and lasting peace is secured.”

Several members of the Kennedy clan were present to award Pence with the JFK Library Foundation honor, including the rabidly anti-Trump Caroline Kennedy and JFK’s only grandson, Jack Schlossberg—who has used social media to consistently harass and criticize Robert F. Kennedy Jr. over his support of Trump and service as his Secretary of Health and Human Services. Far-left factions in the Democratic base are pushing Schlossberg to run for office, likely in the U.S. Congress.

The former Biden government aggressively prosecuted individuals who were present at the U.S. Capitol during the protests on January 6, 2021, abusing the law in what Biden Democrats claimed was a pursuit of justice. The National Pulse reported in June last year that the Supreme Court ruled that the Biden Justice Department overstepped by using a financial crimes law to justify enhanced sentencing for January 6 defendants, with some receiving an additional 25 years under an obstruction provision.”

    🚨 HEY TEXAS—LISTEN UP

Radical preacher Sheikh Uthman Ibn Farooq is moving to Texas—and it’s no accident.

This is the same man who openly defends chopping off hands, pledges to fight his own father if he opposes Islam, and mocks Muslims who “water down” Sharia.

He’s not coming to integrate—he’s coming to expand.

    Texas: You are the target.

Sharia isn’t coming. It’s already here.
