What Shall We Bake Today?

Today’s offering is in honor of St. Patrick’s Day—Shamrock Snacks!

Ingredients

pretzel sticks

mini pretzel twists

Rolo candy

green M&Ms (such as Dark Chocolate Mint M&M’s or Milk Chocolate M&Ms)

Directions

Preheat the oven to 250 degrees.

Place three mini pretzels and one pretzel stick in a shamrock shape on a parchment paper-lined cookie sheet.

Place a Rolo candy in the middle of the pretzels. Repeat with as many treats as you’d like to make.

Bake for 2 minutes at 250 degrees in the oven until the chocolate is just starting to melt, but not all the way melted.

Gently press a green M&M in the middle of Rolo so that the chocolate connects all four pretzels.

Freeze until the chocolate is set, then enjoy! Yup, that’s all it takes to make these cute shamrock snacks!

To store leftovers, just keep them in a covered container for up to a few days.

ENJOY!

  1. Just The News: “The Republican-led Senate on Friday voted to end debate on its six-month Continuing Resolution, preparing the chamber to vote on passing the legislation later in the day. Several Senate Democrats helped advance the resolution in a 62-38 vote, which needed a two-thirds majority to advance.

The support from the opposing party comes after Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer announced on Thursday that he would support ending debate on the legislation. The move sparked outcry from House Democrats who opposed the bill, which passed the lower chamber earlier this week.

The Senate will need to officially pass the resolution and get President Donald Trump to sign the bill by midnight in order to avoid a government shutdown.”

  2. Just The News: “Senate Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley on Friday sent a letter to Attorney General Pam Bondi and FBI Director Kash Patel, allegedly revealing that the bureau listened in on cellphone conversations between President Donald Trump and his former Vice President Mike Pence.

The revelation was unveiled in legally protected whistleblower disclosures from Grassley and Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations Chairman Ron Johnson, and was part of the FBI’s Arctic Frost investigation

“Sunshine is the best disinfectant,” the chairmen wrote to Bondi and Patel. “The American people deserve to know the complete extent of the corruption within the DOJ and FBI that led to the investigation into President Trump.

“We are making this information public for purposes of public accountability and to provide specific examples of past behavior at your institutions that must not be repeated,” they continued. “Quite simply, the public has a right to know what happened in Arctic Frost and, based on what we’ve exposed to date, the American public deserves better from its law enforcement agencies.”

“The Executive Branch cannot properly function if activist liberal judges can unilaterally block presidential actions over the entire country.

If a federal district court judge wants executive powers, they can try and run for President themselves.

The Trump Administration will immediately fight back against these absurd and unconstitutional orders.

The American people overwhelmingly voted for President Trump’s agenda, and it will be fully implemented”.

“The Senate just voted 84-16 to pass the HALT Fentanyl Act which aims to combat the drug crisis that’s killed hundreds of thousands of Americans.

16 Democrats voted AGAINST passing this bill. Unreal”

There is a link on the X post that links to the Breitbart article:

“South African Ambassador Embrahim Rasool told participants in a foreign policy seminar Friday that U.S. President Donald Trump is leading a white supremacist movement in America and around the world.

Rasool was addressing the Mapungubwe Institute for Strategic Reflection (MISTRA) in Johannesburg in attempting to explain Trump’s recent foreign policy stances against South Africa’s property expropriation legislation and its alliances with Iran and Hamas, among others.

He said that white supremacism was motivating Trump’s “disrespect” for the “current hegemonic order” of the world, including institutions like the United Nations and the G-20.

He also said that the Make America Great Again movement was a white supremacist response to growing demographic diversity in the United States, and suggested that South African farmers who had presented Afrikaner grievances within the U.S. were part of that global effort.”

South Africa’s Ambassador to the United States is no longer welcome in our great country.

Ebrahim Rasool is a race-baiting politician who hates America and hates @POTUS.

We have nothing to discuss with him and so he is considered PERSONA NON GRATA.https://t.co/mnUnwGOQdx

  7. I am adding a short daily prayer to the board. I would invite each of you, if you wish, to also add one or maybe two of your own liking. I do not want to stifle anyone but please limit yourself to one or two religious postings. here’s one I found that I liked.
