DIY: Spring Cleaning for Your Garden & Lawn: Part 1

Spring is the perfect time to begin lawn and garden projects!  This article from thegardeningcook.com shows you how to get started.

From thegardeningcook:

These early spring garden projects will get a jump start on your garden and will get you outside too! From lawn care ideas to tips for growing perennials in the spring, i’ve got you covered. I know that in most parts of the country, the ground is still covered with snow, but as any good gardener will tell you, “it’s never too early to start thinking about spring gardening!” Spring is just around the corner and daylight savings on the horizon, so now is the time to think of getting our gardens ready. Are you like me in the late winter?  As soon as the sun starts to shine and the temps go up a bit, I seem to feel that urge to get out there and do something. Many times though, it’s far too early to plant anything. However, there are lots of things that you can do to get ready.

Get your garden ready now with these early spring garden projects

NOW is the time to get started on some very early spring gardening tasks.  These are my tried and true early spring garden projects that will make sure I get these results year after year.

1. Prepare for early lawn care

This is at the top of my early spring garden projects for a reason.   A lush, green lawn is such an important part of a great garden.  We all enjoy entertaining in the summer, and a wonderful lawn adds so much to the atmosphere of your garden setting.  Early spring is the time to take stock of the condition of your lawn after a winter of it not growing.  It will show what needs to be done to get it ready for spring when you can easily see the problems lurking there. I have a lot of lawn area and the back yard has quite a few weeds growing.  It definitely needs some TLC in the spring. I’ll start by raking my lawn early in the spring to remove dead grown and winter debris.  This brings light as well as air to the soil, which encourages the grass to grow.  Now is the perfect time to care for your lawn.  Don’t wait until the heat of summer hits.  When you are hosting a barbecue party in summer and your lawn is lush and green, you’ll be glad you started now.

2. Clean and repair birdhouses

Some birds visit us all year round here in NC and many really start visiting when the weather starts to turn warm.  Now is the time to check the birdhouses.  Make sure they are firmly mounted. Clean bird feeds and fill them with fresh seed, once they are dry.   Consider creating a pile of nesting materials in your yard where the birds can easily take stuff to make their nests. This little bird house needs a makeover this year.  It belonged to my mother who died last year and I will treasure it once I fix the damaged parts.

Now is the time to clear away the junk

One of my most needed early spring garden projects is cleaning up after winter.  Winter can be hard on a garden.   All sorts of garden debris and other refuse seems to gather everywhere around the yard.

3. Clear away refuse

Check the drainage ditches and walk around your yard to see what can be gathered and put out for garden refuse pick up. Our local authority allows me to put yard debris out every week and I have a whole row of old trash cans just waiting for this job.  Plants and lawns grow best in soil that drains well, so gather up those leaves, gather the weeds, and clean out the drainage ditches!  If you have a compost pile, even better.  I use a rolling compost pile. It is not very pretty, as this picture shows, but it is VERY easy to turn and all that yard refuse will turn into “black gold” that will work miracles in my garden and on my lawns. This pile is just LOADED with rich hummus under all the refuse.  Dumping my winter time yard refuse on this pile makes the clean-up part quite easy.

4. Tend to the bird baths

My bird baths are often discolored by the end of the winter.  They all need a good cleaning and scrubbing and then need to be refilled with water.

5. Think spring bulbs

Many spring bulbs start sending up leaf shoots during some warm winter days and then suffer a bit from a cold snap by getting brown edges to the leaves. The bulbs are just fine, they need the cold before they start sending up the flowers, but you can trim the leaves a bit to tidy things up.   While you are at it, make a sketch of where the spring bulbs are and put it in your gardening planner.  Once they have stopped growing, it will be hard to know where to plant your perennials without a sketch showing you where the bulbs are underground.

6 Check your mulched areas

This job is at the top of my must-dos of early spring garden projects. I have 9 large garden beds so I spend a lot of time (and money) on mulching every year.  And no matter how nicely the mulched areas looked last fall, there are still areas where the mulch has degraded or (it sometimes seems) just plain disappeared!  Add composted leaf mulch to the bare areas so that the weeds that we all know are lurking there won’t be able to grow as easily.

7 Check your outdoor seating areas

Last year, I bought new patio cushions for my seating area which rests under a huge Magnolia tree. By mid-winter, the cushions were a green mess and I honestly thought I would need to throw them away. But I threw them in the washing machine with some spray on stain remover (it took two washes) and they look almost like new.  Note to self:  Next year, put the patio cushions in the shed in the fall!  One of my summer projects for this seating area is going to be to sand the seat and bench and give it a fresh coat of paint in a dark green color. Stay tuned for the transformation.

8 Touch up yard decorations

Of all of my early spring garden projects, this one is my favorite.  I love to add decor to my garden.  Do you have some yard decorations that will need a touch up to look their best for spring and summer?  I have an old mail box that I salvaged from a make-over that I did last summer.  I plan to use to hold my gardening tools, and have a garden decoration too.  It’s very rusty, but will make a great project for early spring when I can’t actually be gardening. I plan to paint it and stencil on the side. It will make a lovely yard decoration when done.

9 Cut back ornamental grasses

I let my Japanese Silver grass get very tall in the winter because it sends up beautiful plums above the plant. But early spring is the time to cut it right now to about 6 inches to encourage lush growth during the spring and summer. If I leave this plant for even a few more weeks, ALL of these fronds will be covering my garden bed.  Now is the time to prune them.

    1. Good morning, Miss Pat! I also love spring green!

Thanks for the great yard tips – I don’t think I’ll be able to use them this year due to Sally care. May not be able to do even a tiny bit since I can only get away for a day trip back home to pick up mail, groceries, etc. I’m even doing laundry at the Village now. I’ll need to hire a yard service to keep the yard looking neat this spring and summer. To everything, there is a season.

  3. I just posted this as a reply to GA @ M’s. I’ve been wanting to say this for weeks! Every single time I hear some nincompoop on TV – elected and otherwise – totally ignoring these facts, I want to throw something at my TV!!!

“For true justice to be done, it MUST be acknowledged that this was begun after Ukraine (with US support) violated the Minsk Agreement and the US pushed for them to join NATO, another violation of previous agreements. The Ukrainian people voted for and elected a man as their President who was NOT acceptable to Obama, Biden, Killary and Victoria Nuland because he didn’t hate Russia and was willing to work with Russia.

The inhabitants of Crimea voted to remain with Russia, as did the inhabitants by the region further north that bordered Russia (IDR the name at the moment). The US engineered a coup, seeding and participating in the riots in Ukraine. It was Victoria Nuland who was caught on a phoneline stating they would install who THEY chose and Europe couldn’t do a damned thing about it! I listened to that recording myself, as did many others.

Until they acknowledge all that….this is nothing but another fricking joke and scam!!!

  4. NF: IMO, she most likely wasn’t even aware she was being used for nefarious purposes, which would explain Kash defending her.

Just The News: “In a rare and extraordinary pushback, new FBI Director Kash Patel said Friday night that media reports claiming a female agent ran a “honeypot” operation against Donald Trump during the Obama years was not true and unfair to the agent.

“A female agent was falsely referenced in the media this week as part of an alleged whistleblower disclosure- she was NOT a honeypot,” Patel wrote in a post on the social media platform X.

“I have reviewed the matter, again, and she did the limited job assigned to her. These actions were also reviewed by Special Counsel John Durham and he found no evidence of any wrongdoing by her,” the director said. “This agent has dedicated her life to public service, and I will have her back for it.”

The statement by Patel was extraordinary since he was a critic of the FBI before he took over as its director, and helped unravel the misconduct of the FBI during the unfounded Russia collusion case known as Crossfire Hurricane brought against Trump during the 2016 campaign.

Reports in conservative media earlier this week suggested that  a whistleblower provided evidence that the FBI under former Director James Comey ran a “honeypot” operation against Trump to try to entrap him as far back as 2015.

Patel unequivocally stated the stories were not true and that it was important for him to set the record straight.

“The American people will get an FBI that is transparent, accountable, and committed to justice,” he wrote. “Just like when I exposed grotesque violations and fraud leading the House Intelligence Committee’s investigation into Crossfire Hurricane calling out corrupt actors; I will equally defend those attacked falsely, especially as your new FBI Director.

“I will always be the first to push for accountability from within, my track record has established that, but we do not establish guilt by association in this FBI,” he added. “Stay the course and abide by our high standards, and I will always have your back. Deviate in anyway, and you will not be a part of this FBI. She is here to stay.”

Wondering what this is all about and whether the reported investigation into Comey is about to go south.

There were presumably two such honeypots in the off-book operation. When it was mentioned this week I thought of the one called Avril something??

And also wondering whether this means sundance is right about Kash.

  7. EXCERPT: “There could be many reasons Friday’s meeting in the Oval Office between President Trump and Volodymyr Zelensky disintegrated into the petulant Ukraine leader being tossed out of the White House on his ear.

It could be that he came into the meeting sulking about not being invited to the initial peace talks that took place last week between U.S. and Russian officials. It could be because Trump had hinted that the Ukrainian people should hold new elections. And it could be that Zelensky didn’t like Trump’s comments about his attire, which, admittedly, was ultra casual and in stark contrast to the previous, more serious-looking arrivals of U.K. Prime Minister Keir Starmer and French President Emmanuel Macron at the White House.

Or perhaps Zelensky arrived in Washington, D.C., perturbed that the gravy train was ending for his country. Something that is just now coming to light is the fact that the U.S. State Department earlier this week halted a USAID program that funneled dollars into Ukraine to help rebuild the country’s power grid after years of it being pounded by Russia…..”

  8. EXCERPT: “….The events were widely applauded by Trump’s backers (after the meeting, the White House issued a press release with more than 50 statements of support from top GOP figures).

But in Europe, most leaders took the opposite stance, expressing almost unanimous support for Zelensky and Ukraine – though it remains far from clear whether those statements will translate into enough material support for Ukraine to continue its war with Russia if the U.S. completely pulls its financial and military aid.

In France, President Emmanuel Macron praised the West’s decision to help Ukraine at the start of the war in 2022.

“We were right to help Ukraine and sanction Russia three years ago,” wrote Macron, who was in Washington to meet with Trump earlier in the week. “By ‘we’ I mean the Americans, the Europeans, the Canadians, the Japanese and many others.”

Outgoing German Chancellor Olaf Scholz – whose party was soundly defeated in elections last Sunday – said “Ukraine can rely on Germany, and on Europe.”

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen (“You are never alone, dear President Zelenskyy”), Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez (“Ukraine, Spain stands with you”), and Poland’s Donald Tusk (“Dear Ukrainian friends, you are not alone”) added their voices to the chorus.

In the hours following Zelensky’s “thank you” message made upon exiting the White House, he retweeted some three dozen statements of solidarity from world leaders, each one with the statement, “Thank you for your support.”

Noticeably absent from the list of leaders publicly stating support as of late Friday were Italy’s Giorgia Meloni (both a strong supporter of the Ukrainian cause and a close ally to Trump), Hungary’s Viktor Orban (another key Trump ally in Europe and a supporter of Russia’s Vladimir Putin), and U.K. Prime Minister Keir Starmer (who wrapped up what was by most accounts a constructive trip to Washington earlier on Friday).

In Ukraine, the news of their leader’s visit was met with disbelief and trepidation. Ukrainians, sparked by the knowledge that at best their cause will be badly crippled by the almost certain departure of the United States, the country that up to Friday had been their biggest supporter.

“I’m just crying because of what I hear,” one Ukrainian lawmaker reportedly said.”

  9. Just The News: “The National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) on Friday launched a new webpage on the assassination of President John F. Kennedy, which will feature already-released documents and items within the assassination collection and new documents as they are released.

The webpage comes after President Donald Trump ordered the declassification of all records related to the assassinations of Kennedy, his brother Robert Kennedy, and Martin Luther King Jr., last month.

The current assassination collection consists of more than six million pages of assassination-related records, photographs, motion pictures, sound recordings and artifacts, the administration said in a press release.

“The vast majority of this Collection has been declassified and is already available to the public either online or in-person at the National Archives at College Park, Maryland,” NARA said.

NARA said that it is still working on digitizing the records, and has uploaded more than 700,000 pages of records so far. Those that cannot be viewed online can be viewed in person in Maryland. Reservations are not needed, but encouraged.

“The National Archives is ready to receive and process any further declassification decisions made by President Trump or by other agencies of the United States Government,” NARA said. “All released records in the Collection will be made available online through the National Archives Catalog on an ongoing, rolling basis following each release determination.”

  10. Just The News: “Russia on Friday announced that it would appoint a new ambassador to the United States, signaling a decrease in tension between the two superpowers as the U.S. aims to end the war in Ukraine.

The announcement occurred the same day President Donald Trump met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky at the White House, where negotiations plummeted after a tense exchange resorted to heated arguments that prompted the White House to cancel a joint press conference.

Russia’s foreign ministry announced that it would appoint Alexander Darchiyev, a career diplomat who currently leads the ministry’s North America department, to the role in Washington. Darchiyev was approved by the U.S. after a meeting in Istanbul on Thursday, The Guardian reported.

“[Officials in Istanbul] agreed on joint steps to ensure the uninterrupted financing of diplomatic missions in both countries and to create appropriate conditions for diplomats to carry out their duties effectively,” foreign ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said.

Russia has not had an ambassador to the U.S. since October.

The meeting on Thursday also focused on improving the relationship between the U.S. and Russia, and Russian President Vladimir Putin praised the new administration for having a “pragmatic” worldview.

“There is a reciprocal mood to work to restore intergovernmental ties and to gradually resolve the huge number of systemic and strategic problems that have built up in the world’s security architecture,” Putin said.

“We understand that not everyone is happy with the resumption of Russian-American contacts,” Putin continued. “Some Western elites are still determined to maintain instability in the world, and these forces will try to disrupt or compromise the dialogue that has begun.”

  11. Just The News: “Santa Fe County Sheriff Adan Mendoza on Friday said that the late-Hollywood actor Gene Hackman likely died nine days before his body and the body of his wife were found, based on an examination of his pacemaker.

Hackman and his wife Betsy Arakawa were found dead in their Santa Fe home on Wednesday, after sheriff deputies responded to a request for a wellness check of the couple, who reportedly had not been heard from for two weeks.

Authorities are investigating the deaths as “suspicious” because of the circumstances surrounding their deaths. Hackman’s body was found on the floor in a mudroom and Arakawa’s body was found on a bathroom floor near a space heater. Pills were also scattered on the counter near where Arakawa’s body was found and both bodies showed signs of decomposition.

Mendoza said that both bodies tested negative for carbon monoxide poisoning, and that an examination of the pacemaker showed the last activity it recorded was on Feb. 17, per the New York Times. “According to the pathologist, I think that is a very good assumption that that was his last day of life,” the sheriff said.

The sheriff said it could take several months to get the official cause of death for the couple, who’s unexpected deaths has rocked Hollywood, because it could take three months or longer to get the toxicology results. But no external injuries or trauma were noted on either body.

The sheriff’s department also revealed Friday that they found thyroid medication, Tylenol, and diltiazem, a drug often used to treat high blood pressure or chest pain, at the couple’s New Mexico home. It is not clear if these were the pills near Arakawa.”

  13. “Steady Boys: The USA has offered a chance for peace; let’s see if the Europeans take it”

Michael T. Flynn LTG USA (RET), Mar 01, 2025

    Share

ENTIRE ARTICLE: “Albert Einstein said, “The difference between stupidity and genius is that genius has its limits.” I’d humbly add that genius also recognizes its limits. That said, and here goes …

Does anyone remember Presidents Biden or Obama, or anyone from their administrations talking about peace or saying things like, let’s stop the killing like Trump does? Or, even better, openly stating that they wanted to end the war and here are ways to achieve a peaceful solution? The answer is NEVER!

Perpetual war is the trademark of the establishment warmongering globalist elite in WDC. This includes many of the so-called “think tanks” too (they’re not called “do tanks” for good reason). They and damn near every member of Congress are all culpable and guilty of either enabling this war to begin with and / or to cause it to continue to this horrific point with so many lives lost and billions of dollars of destruction.

AND, as we’ve learned, The USAID / NGO gravy train appears to be ending abruptly. Many are screaming quietly behind closed doors along with the rest of their Euro-fascist friends, all of whom need to be held to account and embarrassed publicly for their culpability in this war.

Don’t get me wrong, I am not anti-war, I am however, anti-stupid war.

Regarding Zelensky, he appears to be driven by a personal agenda; and (unlike the great statesman Winston Churchill, who signed the August 1941 Atlantic Charter with the USA – essentially trading the British Empire for US military support), he is obviously unwilling to compromise on behalf of his country and work with the USA for a peace deal.

He seems to like the power, money, and limelight too much (remember, he’s an actor). He appears convinced by the European’s ability to substitute US military support in his fight to the death with Russia. He has zero idea what European militaries are capable of (pssst., not very much, especially w/out USMIL support and leadership, this is the truth).

We’re witnessing equally foolish Europeans jump on his bandwagon without reflecting upon how weak they are. They are economically bankrupt, militarily very weak, and badly politically fractured.

Never forget that bad strategy will always be that one element you cannot afford and only chosen by those that have a distorted and dangerous view of risk and their own capabilities.

The UK and France, both of whom were in the White House before Zelensky, have important roles to play in joining and promoting the US peacemaking alliance. Both know that their nuke capabilities are entirely dependent on US support, and both have greatly diminished militaries. They have also agreed in principle to contribute to a peacekeeping (reassurance) force.

I have a tendency to use the phrase, “Steady Boys,” and this phrase is now more important than ever to remind everyone, we are entering very dangerous waters. Cool strategic heads are needed here; not media driven hysteria. The USA has offered a chance for peace; let’s see if the Europeans take it; or choose to support Zelensky in a European war they can neither afford nor win.

To selectively paraphrase Einstein above; “Let’s not follow stupid.”

Thank you to the historically elected, in a mandate landslide presidential victory, the one non-political leader in America, @realDonaldTrump for demonstrating genius.”

  14. EXCERPT: “….Let’s see what they’ve got for us over in Paris:

Left-wing managers of a Paris theatre occupied by hundreds of homeless African migrants are set to abandon the building because of sex-related violence.

They say the crisis at the Gaîté Lyrique – one of the French capital’s most historic arts venues – is now ‘so explosive’ that retreat by this Friday is their only option.

There are now 446 people living inside illegally, most of them claiming they are minors under the age of 18 who deserve permanent housing.

But local officials have insisted that they are adults and that most are known to the authorities and had been sleeping on the streets before entering the theatre.

Of course, the group occupying the theater used some terminology from the woke playbook, calling this questioning of their age “racist and expeditive.”

If I was an African occupying a woke theater and I knew I had the upper hand, I’d use woke language to get my way too. It’s the easiest trick in the book. So now they’re going to abandon the building and leave it to the migrants. Oh, and don’t forget go bankrupt in the process.

But this is escalating to “sex-related violence,” so I don’t have too many jokes left in me.

Management warn of an ‘explosive and undignified situation’ that is ‘increasing in severity’.

Beyond fights breaking out because of sexual tensions, migrants have been seen dealing and using drugs.

Staff have been acting as ‘on-site security guards, even though this is neither their skill set nor their job,’ says the statement.

Despite this, the statement says staff have also been ‘welcoming and sheltering the occupants’.

Imagine the mental gymnastics you’d have to perform to see the sanitary conditions of your establishment deteriorate after Africans take it over for nearly three months, have them fighting each other due to sexual frustration, and still welcome them with open arms as you go bankrupt.

The building is owned by the City of Paris, and the City of Paris is run by leftists who don’t want the police to get involved. This means a judge’s order to have the building evacuated by February 13 meant absolutely nothing and the 446 migrants still hold the building….”

EXCERPT: “Most people would be thrilled to discover just one cool car in a barn, but every now and then somebody hits the dusty, dirt-covered jackpot. That’s certainly the case for Matt Murray, who runs the YouTube channel Iron Trap Garage. Murray is based in Pennsylvania, and he got a tip about a shocking collection of about 50 cars not too far from him that have been tucked away in a handful of large buildings—in some cases, hidden for decades. What he found was a once-in-a-lifetime treasure trove of American metal.

The variety of cars he found is dizzying, with vintages ranging from 1930s street rods to Mustangs, Corvettes, fin cars, and much more. Sorting through these rides could not have been easy, however. Each building is packed wall-to-wall with cars and piles of accumulated junk. That said, several cars are in solid condition given their age and how long it’s been since they were on the road. And for many of the vehicles, owner Larry Schroll kept extensive records and an absolutely delightful collection of in-period snapshots. Schroll passed away in 2018, leaving behind a lifetime’s worth of cars he’d been collecting since he was young….”

  17. “Insult To Injury: Trump Changes Netflix Password And Now Zelensky Has To Get His Own Account”

    Politics · Mar 1, 2025 · BabylonBee.com

    Article Image

WASHINGTON, D.C. — On top of losing an economic deal and getting publicly berated on television, President Zelensky arrived at his hotel room only to find that Trump had changed his Netflix password and now Zelensky would have to get his own account.

The loss of his Premium Netflix subscription came as a tough blow, after already missing out on his catered lunch and losing the backing of the most powerful nation on the planet.

“Oh, come on,” said Zelensky, realizing the password had been changed. “I lose my access to billions of dollars, cruise missiles, and my Netflix account, all in one day? You could have left me the Netflix, Trump. I could really have used a Bridgerton binge.”

According to sources, Trump changed the previous Netflix password in a vindictive rage after the disastrous Oval Office meeting. “Cut him off, no more free rides on the $15.99 per month subscription,” said Trump. “The old password, El_Trumpo_4_Eva is no more. How does that taste, Zelensky?”

At publishing time, Zelensky’s night had taken an even worse turn when he discovered that Trump had also removed him from his AT&T Family Plan.

  18. “BREAKING: SecDef Hegseth orders 3,000 more troops to the border with armored combat vehicles”

Mar. 1, 2025 12:08 pm by The Right Scoop

ENTIRE ARTICLE: “There will be no shortage of military resources on our southern border, with our new Secretary of Defense ordering 3,000 more troops there along with 20-ton armored Stryker combat vehicles.

Here’s more from the Washington Post:

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has ordered an additional 2,500 to 3,000 active-duty troops to the southern U.S. border, including soldiers from a motorized brigade equipped with 20-ton armored Stryker combat vehicles, two defense officials familiar with the effort said.

The defense secretary approved the orders Friday, the officials said, speaking on the condition of anonymity to discuss internal Defense Department planning. The soldiers are primarily from the 4th Infantry Division’s 2nd Stryker Brigade at Fort Carson, Colorado, and will be joined by soldiers specializing in engineering, intelligence and public affairs, the officials said.

Officials with U.S. Northern Command, which oversees military operations in the United States, and Pentagon spokesmen John Ullyot and Sean Parnell did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

The deployment had been in planning since January and comes despite a sharp drop in border crossings since the Trump administration took office. Hegseth said during a trip to the border in February that all options are on the table to support President Donald Trump’s efforts to stop illegal migration.

I love it. Keep up the great work Secretary Hegseth!”

  19. “Elon Musk Confirms Birth of 14th Child, a Son Named Seldon Lycurgus”

Slay News, David Hawkins, March 1, 2025 – 9:14 am

ENTIRE ARTICLE: “Elon Musk has just confirmed the birth of his 14th child following an announcement from Shivon Zilis about their new son, Seldon Lycurgus. In a heartwarming announcement on Friday evening, Zilis, a top executive at Neuralink, took to X to share the news of her fourth child with Musk. The announcement was made on the same day as their daughter Arcadia’s birthday.

The birth of Seldon Lycurgus marks Musk’s 14th child, further expanding his already extensive family. It comes after conservative influencer Ashley St. Clair revealed just last month that she gave birth to Musk’s 13th child. Zilis’s post radiated pride and affection: “Discussed with Elon and, in light of beautiful Arcadia’s birthday, we felt it was better to also just share directly about our wonderful and incredible son Seldon Lycurgus.

“Built like a juggernaut, with a solid heart of gold. Love him so much ♥️.” Musk responded simply with a heart emoji, signaling his support for the announcement. The exact birth date of Seldon remains undisclosed. However, the timing suggests a deliberate choice to celebrate both children together, blending family milestones with public disclosure.

Seldon Lycurgus joins Musk and Zilis’s three other children: twins Strider and Azure, born in November 2021, and Arcadia, whose birth was confirmed earlier in 2024. The couple’s growing brood reflects Musk’s well-documented stance as a “pronatalist,” advocating for higher birth rates to counter what he perceives as a looming population crisis.

With Zilis, an AI expert and key figure in Musk’s Neuralink venture, this latest addition underscores their shared personal and professional orbit.

Musk’s family tree now spans 14 children across four women. He shares six children with his first wife, Justine Wilson—including twins Vivian and Griffin, and triplets Kai, Saxon, and Damian—though their firstborn, Nevada, tragically passed away in infancy. With singer Grimes, Musk has three children: X Æ A-12, Exa Dark Sideræl, and Techno Mechanicus.

The 14th child announcement follows closely on the heels of a controversial claim by conservative influencer Ashley St. Clair. On February 14, 2025, St. Claire asserted she had given birth to Musk’s 13th child, a son referred to as R.S.C., five months prior. St. Clair’s revelation sparked drama, including a custody lawsuit and public calls for Musk to acknowledge paternity, though he has yet to respond directly to her claims.

The timing of Zilis’s announcement has fueled speculation online, with some suggesting it overshadows St. Clair’s ongoing saga. Regardless, Musk’s focus appears to remain on his expansive family vision. Seldon Lycurgus, described as a “juggernaut” with a “heart of gold,” is the latest chapter in a lineage that continues to captivate public attention—both for its scale and the unconventional names that define it.

As Musk juggles his roles at Tesla, SpaceX, and the Department of Government Efficiency, his personal life remains as dynamic as his professional one. Seldon’s arrival marks yet another milestone in his extraordinary journey.”

          1. That he did – I think a lot of it is his inherent arrogance but whatever – as you say, he can support them so….
