A while back, Filly posted a link to a post written by Erik Carlson on the similarity between these two great men. It was chilling. I saved the link (posted at the bottom if you want to read it all) to bring it on Washington’s birthday.
From: badlands.substack.com:
This assassination attempt reminds me of an American legend, or rather, the hand of God protecting Trump and the miracle of him surviving this attack, reminds me of a legendary story.
This story involves an incident that occurred only 30 miles from Butler, Pennsylvania in the area known today as Pittsburgh. It occurred on July 9, 1755, 269 years and four days ago, and involved America’s founding president, George Washington.
From the August 15, 2013, article by Dr. Bo Wagner published in the Cleveland Corner:
On July 9, 1755, there was a battle that took place during the French and Indian War, the battle of Monongahela. During the two-hour battle, 23-year-old Colonel George Washington had ridden back and forth on the battlefield, delivering the general’s orders to other officers and troops. The Indians had been specifically targeting the officers. Of the 86 British and American officers, 63 were casualties. Washington was the only officer on horseback not shot down. Following the battle, Washington wrote a letter to his brother in which he said:
“By the all-powerful dispensations of Providence, I have been protected beyond all human probability or expectation; for I had four bullets through my coat, and two horses shot under me, yet [I] escaped unhurt, although death was leveling my companions on every side of me!”
Did you get that? After the battle, he took off his coat and found four bullet holes through it… but no bullets in him. Do you know what you call that? A miracle!
Fifteen years later he was back in that area, and an old, respected Indian chief sought out Washington. When he found him, he explained that he had been the one leading the Indians against them in the battle fifteen years earlier. He then revealed to Washington what had occurred behind the scenes during the conflict.
He said: “I called to my young men and said, mark yon tall and daring warrior [Washington]? …Himself is alone exposed. Quick, let your aim be certain, and he dies. Our rifles were leveled, rifles which, but for you, knew not how to miss. ’twas all in vain, a power mightier far than we shielded you. Seeing you were under the special guardianship of the Great Spirit, we immediately ceased to fire at you… I have come to pay homage to the man who is the particular favorite of Heaven, and who can never die in battle.”
Those Indians, who could not miss anyone else, specifically aimed at George Washington and fired at him over and over and over again, and for some reason, the bullets never would hit him! They would go through his coat, which was on his body, but somehow, they never made it to his body, they just ceased to exist in the 1/8 of an inch between his coat and his body. That old Indian chief was right; Washington was the particular favorite of Heaven. God raised him up specifically to lead our nation against Britain in our hour of greatest need.
From the New York Post on July 14, 2024, the day following the failed assassination attempt on Trump’s life:
A grateful and at times defiant Donald Trump told The Post Sunday he’s “supposed to be dead” as he recalled the harrowing moment a would-be assassin shot at him at a Pennsylvania campaign rally.
The former president shared the “very surreal experience” that nearly ended his life during an interview aboard his private plane en route to Milwaukee for the GOP National Convention.
“The doctor at the hospital said he never saw anything like this, he called it a miracle,” said Trump, who was sporting a large, loose white bandage that covered his right ear. His staff insisted that no photos be taken.
“I’m not supposed to be here, I’m supposed to be dead,” Trump said. “I’m supposed to be dead.”
I believe both men have been chosen by God and protected by God. One was chosen to make America, and the other to make America great again.

President Trump’s Final Break with Neocon Ideology
February 22, 2025
ENTIRE ARTICLE: “With his comments about Zelensky being a dictator and Ukraine having started the war, President Trump broke the final vestiges of longstanding neocon/military-industrial complex/Deep State control over the Presidency. President Trump spoke truth after truth, and it drove wild the foreign policy think tanks, the establishment media, and those in the Intelligence Community who thrive on lies and graft.
Until yesterday, these dark forces had still hoped they could manipulate this leader of the free world to serve the interests of the War Machine. All that ended yesterday when President Trump slaughtered every sacred cow in sight with his series of truthful assertions. Bravo, Mr. President.
Still smarting from Elon Musk’s public disclosure that it was among the media outlets subsidized by USAID, Reuters asserted: “Trump blames Ukraine’s Zelensky for starting war with Russia.” CNN shouted, “Trump falsely calls Zelensky ‘a dictator.’” Rolling Stone claimed “Trump sides with Putin.”
Who started the war? The neocons want you to believe the war started three years ago on February 24, 2022, when Russia sent troops into Ukraine. The neocons are hoping that the American People have a short memory of world events. But if you look back a decade or two, you will come to a very different conclusion about who started the war, and when. The part of the world not saturated by the USAID-funded “independent” journalists realize that the hands of Ukraine and the West are anything but clean. Let’s discuss just a couple of factors that led to this war.
Broken Promises. The Berlin Wall fell on November 9, 1989, and the Iron Curtain began to dissolve. Numerous U.S. and western leaders promised Soviet leader Mikhail Gorbachev on February 9, 1990 that if the Soviet officials would allow the USSR to break apart, NATO would not expand “one inch eastward.”
NATO broke that promise repeatedly. In 1999, NATO added the Czech Republic, Hungary and Poland; in 2004, Bulgaria, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Romania, Slovakia, and Slovenia; in 2009, Albania and Croatia; in 2017, Montenegro; in 2020, North Macedonia. After Russia’s invasion in 2022, NATO added in 2023, Finland; and finally in 2024, Sweden. Yet Zelensky has charged it is Russian leaders who are “‘Pathological Liars’ Who ‘Cannot be Trusted.’”
Coup d’etat. In February 2010, Ukrainians elected Viktor Yanukovych as President. The United States foreign policy apparatus thought he was “too neutral,” particularly for not wanting to be tied to the European Union. That initiated the Euromaidan protests in Kyiv in November 2013, destabilizing the duly-elected Ukrainian government through rioting and violence, and culminating in the February 18-23, 2014 “Revolution of Dignity,” which led to Yanukovych being removed as President on February 22, 2014.
U.S. involvement could not be denied after the leak of the February 2014 conversation between Assistant Secretary of State Victoria Nuland and U.S. Ambassador Geoffrey Pyatt where Nuland was heard dictating the composition of the new government. Thus it came as no surprise that Russia annexed Crimea, warm-water-port home of much of the Soviet fleet, which had long been Russian, later in 2014.
An acting President was appointed until Petro Poroshenko was elected on May 25. Poroshenko held the presidency until 2019, when Volodymyr Zelensky — a comedian and actor in a TV show “Servant of the People” playing the President of Ukraine — actually became president in 2019. Making the events even stranger, Zelensky was the candidate of the newly-formed “Servant of the People” Party. (That would be a lot like Martin Sheen becoming President of the United States running as the candidate of the West Wing Party.)
Zelensky was also famous for playing “Hava Nagila” on a piano with his genitals on stage. In one of the great curiosities of the war, Zelensky, who is Jewish, worked with and relied on the Azov Brigade, a neo-Nazi paramilitary group which displayed insignia featuring neo-Nazi symbols: the Wolfsangel (a runic double hook) and the Sonnenrad (sun wheel).
Russian Self-Preservation. Is Russia’s desire for a neutral Ukraine really that remarkable? In October 1962, the world suffered through the Cuban Missile Crisis when Russia was caught placing offensive missiles in Cuba. We were willing to risk World War III to prevent Russian missiles from being placed 90 miles off the Florida coastline. Is it unreasonable to consider the perspective of Russia not wanting NATO missiles being installed in neighboring Ukraine? Under President Biden, the United States provided missiles used for attacks deep into Russian Territory, and President-elect Trump criticized that action.
Almost one-fifth of Ukrainians are ethnic Russians. Two large oblasts (or provinces) of Ukraine, Luhansk and Donetsk, are primarily Russian. Yet, despite the millions of Russian-speaking persons in much of Eastern Ukraine, in 2019 Poroshenko signed a law that mandated use of the Ukranian language for civil servants, soldiers, doctors, and teachers.
In September 2022, Russia conducted referendums in the Luhansk, Donetsk, and Zaporizhzhia Oblasts, where the vote supporting annexation by Russia was in the high 90 percentiles. Such numbers appear to be shockingly high, but one must consider that Ukrainian forces had shelled and assaulted these Russian-majority oblasts for years, and citizens had appealed to President Putin to protect them. Finally he did.
By the way, if you want to read the opposite side of everything in this article, just look it up on Wikipedia. When President Trump and Elon Musk are finished exposing how U.S. money is expended, we just might learn that Wikipedia’s lavish repetition of the Deep State narrative on every subject is not accidental.
Is Zelensky a Dictator? In November 2023, Zelensky cancelled Ukraine’s elections with the comment: “I believe that now is not the right time for elections.” Zelensky’s five-year term expired in March 2024, but Ukraine’s Constitution prohibits elections for president, parliament, or local offices while martial law is in effect. Zelensky has shut down non-supportive press, threatened to conscript opposition journalists, consolidated all media under government control, signed a law banning 11 opposition political parties, and worked to destroy the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.
The Ukrainian government displayed no respect for freedom of the press, or the lives of Americans, as American-Chilean Gonzalo Lira, a journalist and film maker, was tortured, and eventually died in custody on January 11, 2024. Lira had traveled to Ukraine to report on the Russia-Ukrainian War, but his videos and posts often ran counter to the official narrative pushed by the American and Ukrainian governments. He was arrested by the Ukrainian secret police, the Security Service of Ukraine (“SBU”), for the fabricated “crime” of producing Russian propaganda.
Siding with Putin. President Trump said that he certainly understands why Putin would not want an armed NATO on his border. President Trump wants to work with Putin to end the war even though Zelensky, as the nominal head of what is arguably the most corrupt government on the face of the earth, wants to keep it going. If being accused of siding with Putin is the price of achieving peace by ending a stupid and unwinnable war, then so be it.
As I said, Bravo, Mr. President.”

Good! Take it from me, with firsthand experience – there were far too many smug, entitled government workers at the Pentagon back in the late ’70’s when I was there – I can’t imagine the numbers now!!!
Just The News: “The Pentagon on Friday announced that it expects to fire roughly 5,400 civilian probationary employees next week, as part of its efforts to reduce its workforce to better align the Defense Department with President Donald Trump’s priorities.
The anticipated move comes after other federal agencies looked to reduce their workforces by offering buyout options for employees who resigned voluntarily. The agencies also purged their probationary employees, following a Trump order.
The 5,400 workers are all newer employees who have worked for the department for one or two years, and whose employment is not considered “mission critical.” The department is also implementing a hiring freeze.
“As the Secretary made clear, it is simply not in the public interest to retain individuals whose contributions are not mission-critical,” Darin Selnick, acting defense undersecretary for personnel and readiness, said. “Taxpayers deserve to have us take a thorough look at our workforce top-to-bottom to see where we can eliminate redundancies.
“As we take these important steps to reshape the workforce to meet the President’s priorities, the Department will treat our workers with dignity and respect as it always does,” he continued. “Those who commit themselves to defending our nation deserve nothing less.”
The dismissals could eventually impact as many as 50,000 probationary employees who work for DoD, per Politico.”

I’d venture to say less than HALF of ALL employees in gov’t are not mission critical!

Ah, yes….Bain Capital – and where have we heard that before? Et tu, Pierre di-Lecto!!!
Just The News: “The Federal Emergency Management Agency in 2023 earmarked $2.6 million to fund a “war on disinformation,” federal records show, despite the Department of Homeland Security’s decision to end its Disinformation Governance Board in 2022.
The money went to the Virginia consultancy firm and Bain Capital subsidiary Guidehouse, which has worked with multiple federal agencies in the past, per the Foundation for Freedom Online and was intended to analyze “misinformation and disinformation.”
A previous post on the company’s website, which has since been removed, said Guidehouse worked with social media platforms to report misinformation, including by flagging posts for removal.
Only $1.2 million of the potential $2.6 million award has been spent so far, according to data from USAspending.gov. The transaction was made in Sept. 2023 but flagged by FFO this week.
The designation comes as FEMA faces heavy scrutiny over other allegedly politically biased actions, including its funding for housing illegal migrants in New York City, and an employee’s order to workers in Florida not to help people with pro-Trump signs in their yards in the wake of Hurricane Milton.”

Just The News: “(The Center Square) – Ninety-five percent of the Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency’s funding comes from federal sources. Speaking before the House Appropriations Committee, Director Randy Padfield acknowledged that this could be a problem in the near future. Rep. Abigail Salisburg, D-Braddock, asked Padfield what confidence he had that the agency would continue to be funded in subsequent years.
“What’s going to play out in Washington is going to play out in Washington,” said Padfield. “I think every day we have updated information that seems to change regarding situations, so we evaluate that as that comes in, but that is a serious concern for us in the long-term.”
He noted that one of their major funding streams is the Emergency Management Performance Grant, which doesn’t just fund the state agency. It also funds emergency management personnel and programming at the county and municipal level, increasing the risk factor.
“Do you have a contingency plan of where you will find the money to operate if that federal funding were to disappear?” asked Salisbury.
Padfield noted that this is a strength of the agency. In the event that emergency funding is frozen or cut, PEMA would work with the governor’s office to determine how to continue providing vital services to the commonwealth.
Representatives expressed gratitude and called for elaboration on the agency’s responses to specific events in their districts, including the recent aviation disaster in Northeast Philadelphia and the massive factory fire in Abington Township.
The agency also oversees the state’s 911 program, which recently converted to NG911, continues to manage the COVID-19 disaster, and even played a role in responding to the rash of drone sightings earlier this winter. Two areas that are notably out of its purview and that of every other state agency, noted Rep. Emily Kinkead, D-Bellevue, are landslides and sinkholes. These are especially pronounced regions where coal mines have deteriorated the structural integrity of the land.
Padfield spoke about reduced budget requests for the state’s eight urban search and rescue teams as well as Pennsylvania’s participation in the Emergency Management Assistance Compact, or EMAC. For search and rescue, this was due to one-time expenses of implementing a team in Pittsburgh, while for EMAC, there is a surplus from last year.
Through EMAC, Pennsylvania sends individuals or teams to respond to emergencies in other states, like Hurricane Helene in western North Carolina. Funds used to extend the resources are later compensated by the receiving state. The compact goes both ways in the event of major disasters in Pennsylvania.
As a “resource rich” state, Padfield spoke highly of the program and the opportunities it gives Pennsylvania first responders to gain experience and serve during major disasters.
Unfortunately, the state’s fire response is drawing from much smaller pools. Unlike PEMA, the state Fire Commissioner’s office is funded almost entirely through the commonwealth. It uses those funds to provide grants and support to local volunteer fire departments.
Many such departments have been forced to make hard decisions, including consolidating with other municipalities. Meanwhile, availability of fire trucks and other supplies has become scarce and prohibitively expensive as private equity firms have choked the market according to Rep. Joshua Siegel, D-Allentown.
State Fire Commissioner Thomas Cook said that they’re working to address this problem from a higher level. “We’re engaging with other state fire marshalls about what’s going on in their states, and I think you’re going to see a tidal wave of pushback officially from governments,” he said.
Perhaps the most pressing issue for firefighters in the state, however, is a lack of new recruits. The demographic crisis that is reaching into every industry creates particular peril for small towns where there simply isn’t anyone left to answer the call.
“For all the good faith efforts that this team up there have made, I get the sense that everything that we’re doing at some level is going to fall a little bit short of the mark,” said Rep. Mark Gillen, R-Reading, “I think we’re in crisis today.”
Cook said the two biggest needs to fix that approach are funding and recruitment. Traditionally, volunteer firefighters also serve their departments in raising funds and handling accounting and administrative tasks. For many struggling to find their footing in a tough economy, working for free is not only unpalatable but financially unsustainable.
“The young people coming into the volunteer fire service don’t want to be us. They want to be different than us. They have different expectations, different desires that don’t necessarily align with the traditional values of the volunteer fire service,” said Cook.
He suggested that funding departments more would make a big impact and said the state’s home-rule structure tends to work against its interests. Funding the work and providing higher level organizational structure could be hugely beneficial. Cook also noted that assisting departments with recruitment and incentivizing volunteers would help.”

Just The News: “Ric Grenell, the interim executive director of the Kennedy Center, told the Conservative Political Action Conference on Friday that the Kennedy Center will have “a big, huge celebration of the birth of Christ at Christmas” this December.
Politico’s Dasha Burns asked Grenell during an interview on stage at CPAC about his new role at the Kennedy Center, with him saying “well, we want to make art great again.”
“I think the frustration that President Trump had is that the Kennedy Center has no cash on hand, no reserves, and they have been paying for the salaries with the debt reserves while taking around $40 million of public money,” Grenell added. “And so, you can’t have that. If you’re gonna take public money, then you get to have public input. And so what we’re gonna say at the Kennedy Center, is first of all, we gotta clean up the financial situation. We have to do the big productions that the masses and the public wanna see. We want to have really good programming.
“So the first thing that we’re doing, I think the big change is for everybody to know you gotta be at the Kennedy Center in December because we are doing a big, huge celebration of the birth of Christ at Christmas,” he continued. “How crazy is it to think that we’re gonna celebrate Christ at Christmas with a big, traditional production to celebrate what we are all celebrating in the world during Christmastime, which is the birth of Christ.”
Later in the interview, Grenell also said he was officially inviting Dolly Parton to perform at the Kennedy Center because she would be his ideal performer.
After discussing sending conditional funds to help California with the devastation from the wildfires, Grenell said he may run for California governor if former Vice President Kamala Harris jumps in the race. “It’s not in my plan unless Kamala Harris runs for governor,” he said, when questioned on his plans.
“We already know who she is, we’ve spent hundreds of millions of dollars to define who Kamala Harris is. If she thinks that she’s gonna run for governor of California, a Republican is gonna win, and I may not be able to resist trying to run against her,” he said.
The California gubernatorial election is scheduled for November 2026, and Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) is term-limited. Harris has not officially joined the gubernatorial race, but a recent poll suggested that she would be the Democratic front-runner.”

“What’s True and False in One Health”
By Jeffrey Tucker, Feb 22, 2025
Robert W Malone MD, MS
Share
(A note from Dr. Robert Malone – Another, but similar perspective as my own on the agenda of “one health.”)
EXCERPT: “In the 10 days before the inauguration of Donald Trump, the bureaucrats were busy little bees. One of the documents completed by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) was the first-ever strong U.S. commitment to an agenda called “One Health” that has come to dominate thinking in global institutions since the COVID years. It is the “first-ever National One Health Framework to Address Zoonotic Diseases and Advance Public Health Preparedness in the United States.”
Did Trump know this was brewing? There is reason for doubt.
Looked at intuitively, One Health seems unobjectionable, even an improvement over looking at health purely anthropomorphically and mechanistically. It embraces what can be called a holistic approach, one inclusive of all life forms, and who could object to that?
And yet, it is easy to get carried away with this theory. The Lancet two years ago laid out just how revolutionary this is. We are told to be “as concerned about the welfare of non-human animals and the environment as we are about humans. In its truest sense, One Health is a call for ecological, not merely health, equity.”
Here we have a problem. It is contrary to all human intuition to be equally concerned for the life of a rat as it is to be concerned about the life of your daughter, as David Bell pointed out. We cannot be “equally concerned” about bugs as we are about Mom. This way is simply madness and would cause complete chaos in societies everywhere.
What’s more, One Health, as being imagined by the World Health Organization (WHO), the United Nations, and all the other well-funded globalist bureaucracies now rallying around this slogan, is nothing but a mandate for intrusive disease monitoring, testing, and ultimately jabbing of the animal and human population. In other words, it is a cover for what amounts to a power grab in the name of holistic health.
What are we to make of the CDC’s new commitment to One Health? The document was issued on January 10, and one might suppose that it would be jettisoned by the incoming administration. Not so. The PDF report is clearly dated February 13, many weeks after Trump took power and even after the United States pulled out of the WHO.
And yet the document assuredly commits the United States to working with the WHO:
“Recognizing the importance of international action, the U.S. Government works to advance One Health globally in partnership with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), the World Health Organization (WHO), and the World Organisation for Animal Health (WOAH)—known collectively as the Quadripartite—and with other international partners. Although the NOHF-Zoonoses is meant to guide coordinated federal activities in the United States, similar efforts are underway globally.
The document goes on to explain the 2022 release of the first One Health Joint Plan of Action, to create a framework to integrate systems across the globe in six areas to collectively address health threats: “Capacities for health systems; emerging and re-emerging zoonotic epidemics; endemic zoonotic, neglected tropical, neglected tropical and vector-borne diseases; food safety risks; antimicrobial resistance; and the environment. Once implemented, the NOHF-Zoonoses will enable strong, coordinated U.S. federal government representation to such global efforts.”
Yes, I know: your eyes have glazed over, and that’s part of the point. Be as boring as possible when you write up your plan to abolish human rights. All the better to coin incredibly opaque neologisms such as NOHF-Zoonoses, which stands for: “National One Health Framework to Address Zoonotic Diseases and Advance Public Health Preparedness in the United States.”
“…..I have no inside knowledge but it is likely a sure bet that absolutely no one associated with the Trump administration knew about this One Health plan or was following its progress. It just appeared seemingly out of nowhere, as signed by Casey Barton Behravesh of the CDC (who has been working with the WHO on this for 13 years), Lisa Branum of the Department of the Interior (since 2006), and Michael Neafsey of the Department of Agriculture (Assistant Director Plant Health Inspection Service).
Did they obtain authorization to release this report? Did they even believe that they needed it?
These are critical questions but, as of now, the United States is officially committed to working with the WHO to implement a bureaucracy-wide and global plan for One Health, which posits that human life is of equal value to all living things. It’s a radical theory, never once put before the voters in any kind of plebiscite because it would surely be voted down…..”

“Hunter Schafer, a transgender ‘woman’ and star of hit HBO teen drama Euphoria, has said a new US passport lists her as male, despite selecting female when she filled out the paperwork.
“I was shocked,” Schafer said in a TikTok video showing the “M” marker on her new travel document. Her previous passport listed her as female. “I just didn’t think it was actually going to happen,” the 26-year-old added, criticising US President Donald Trump’s policies on gender.
On his first day in office, Trump signed an executive order recognizing only two sexes and declaring they cannot be changed. The US now issues passports with just male or female designations, based on a person’s sex recorded at birth.
There’s a reckoning coming for all of these people who want to deny who and what they are. I have no problem with you wanting to identify yourself as Rocky the flying squirrel. That’s your business, we just don’t have to either recognize or accept it. I blame it all on whoever thought Ru Paul’s drag race was a good idea for a show that kids could watch. Juss’ sayin’…”

LOL – he’s got my vote! I’ve been watching some of my recorded episodes myself the last few days! I just got to the one where they leave Winoka and return to Wallnut Grove with Albert.

I’m watching an episode of the UnBelievable With Dan Akroyd about twin brothers separated at birth. Really interesting how their lives mirror each other in spite of not even knowing the other exists!!
“The Jim Twins: Separated at Birth, Identical Lives”
By Kyle Carmean
“The story of the Jim Twins, Jim Lewis and Jim Springer, is a captivating narrative. It not only defies the imagination but also brings to the forefront one of the most enduring debates in the realms of science and psychology: the nature versus nurture conundrum.
Their extraordinary tale, which unfolded in the late 1970s, serves as a living testament to the profound impact of genetics on our lives and the intricate interplay between nature and nurture.
Their journey of self-discovery revealed a multitude of shared experiences, interests, and life choices that left scientists, psychologists, and the general public awestruck.

I am adding a short daily prayer to the board. I would invite each of you, if you wish, to also add one or maybe two of your own liking. I do not want to stifle anyone but please limit yourself to one or two religious postings. here’s one I found that I liked.
