Today is National Carrot Cake Day, so of course, today’s offering is carrot cake!

Ingredients
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 cups sugar
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 large eggs, room temperature
1-1/2 cups canola oil
2 cups finely grated carrots
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup well-drained crushed pineapple
1 cup sweetened shredded coconut
1 cup chopped nuts
CREAM CHEESE FROSTING:
6 ounces cream cheese, softened
6 tablespoons butter, softened
3 cups confectioners’ sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Additional chopped nuts
Directions
In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, cinnamon, baking soda and salt. Add the eggs, oil, carrots and vanilla; beat until combined. Stir in pineapple, coconut and nuts.
Pour into a greased 13×9-in. baking pan. Bake at 350° for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool on a wire rack.
For frosting, in a small bowl, beat cream cheese and butter until light and fluffy, 5-7 minutes. Add the confectioners’ sugar and vanilla; beat until smooth. Frost cake. Sprinkle with additional nuts. Store in the refrigerator.
ENJOY!

Expecting a bloodbath at FBI today and tomorrow. My guess is acting FBI director Brian Driscoll will be gone by this evening for defying a direct order seeking names of FBI employees—perhaps more than 6,000—involved in Jan 6 cases.
Hard to see how James Dennehy, who runs the NY FBI field office, keeps his job after sending defiant email to colleagues over the weekend promising to “dig in” and not step down or follow orders.
The NYT obtained the email.
Dennehy: “Today, we find ourselves in the middle of a battle of our own, as good people are being walked out of the F.B.I. and others are being targeted because they did their jobs in accordance with the law and F.B.I. policy,” Dennehy wrote.
Dennehy also said the removal of top officials including at Miami and Washington field offices have caused “fear and angst within the F.B.I. ranks.”
He compared his insubordination to being a Marine “in the early 1990s, when he dug a small foxhole five feet deep and hunkered down for safety.
“It sucked,” he wrote. “But it worked.”
Don’t think this is going to end well for Mr. Dennehy.
Also it’s unclear whether every FBI employee who worked on Jan 6 “terrorism” cases will be fired. My guess is many will be asked to take their “terrorism” expertise down to the southern border or other locations where real terror threats exist.

Just The News: “President Donald Trump is expected to withdraw the United States from the United Nations’ Human Rights Council on Tuesday and end all US funding for the UN’s Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), which supplies aid to Gaza.
The executive order, which would reinstates policies from Trump’s first presidential administration, is expected to occur the same day that Trump is scheduled to meet Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Washington D.C., according to Politico.
Trump and Netanyahu will be a holding a joint news conference at the White House on Tuesday, Trump’s first joint news conference with a foreign leader in his new term, according to CBS News.
The Biden administration previously paused funding for UNRWA last year, over concerns that staffers had participated in Hamas’ attack on Israel. The U.S. has also accused the council of being biased against Israel.
The Trump administration is expected to accuse the council of not doing its job in condemning countries who have committed human rights violations, and condemn its alleged bias against Israel.
“The UNHRC has demonstrated consistent bias against Israel, focusing on it unfairly and disproportionately in council proceedings,” a White House fact sheet shared with Politico said. “In 2018, the year President Trump withdrew from the UNHRC in his first administration, the organization passed more resolutions condemning Israel than Syria, Iran, and North Korea combined.”
The order will also direct Secretary of State Marco Rubio to review which international organizations, conventions, or treaties “promote radical or anti-American sentiment,” and report it to the White House.
Trump is also expected to shut down or heavily reform the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) office, which delivers billions of dollars in humanitarian aid overseas.”

Just The News: “The Environmental Protection Agency on Monday warned over 1,000 employees that they could be terminated at a moment’s notice, because they are considered “probationary” since they have worked for the agency for under a year.
The email was the latest effort by President Donald Trump’s administration to downsize the federal government. Dozens of Justice Department attorneys and FBI agents were already fired last month, and most federal employees were offered a buyout option if they resign by Feb. 6.
EPA employees are among those who can opt out of working for the government by resigning by next week. Those who take the deal will be allowed to retain benefits and be paid through September.
The email was sent to roughly 1,100 EPA employees who fell under the “probationary/trial” window, according to NBC News. But Marie Owens Powell, president of the American Federation of Government Employees Council 238, said the government would need cause to fire the employees.
“As a probationary/ trial period employee, the agency has the right to immediately terminate you,” the email said. “The process for probationary removal is that you receive a notice of termination, and your employment is ended immediately.”
Powell said no probationary or trial employee has been released so far, but if employees are terminated the union will “ensure there was a valid cause and the process was followed.”
The union president also noted that some employees who should not qualify for probation received the email, but that they believe the email was sent to those people by mistake.”

Just The News: “Iowa Attorney General Brenna Bird on Monday led a coalition of 18 GOP attorneys general in filing an amicus brief that defends President Donald Trump’s executive order on birthright citizenship.
A group of 18 Democratic attorneys general filed a lawsuit in hopes of blocking the order last month, after Trump signed an executive order shortly after returning to the Oval Office. The order directed the federal government to stop issuing passports, citizenship certificates, and other documents to children born in the U.S. whose parents are in the country illegally.
Bird claimed that people visiting the United States on a tourist visa, who then give birth to their children in the U.S., are not part of what the authors intended in the 14th Amendment of the Constitution.
“If someone comes on a tourist visa to have an anchor baby, they are not under that original meaning of the United States Constitution,” Bird told Fox News. “Oftentimes, when this has happened, it’s the taxpayers that are paying for the health care through Medicaid or through hospitals.
“[They are] paying for care for someone to have a child, or the state child health insurance system as well,” she continued. “Each state has a system that helps kids without insurance, and so the taxpayers are on the hook here for all the costs.”
Bird’s brief was signed by attorneys general from Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Idaho, Indiana, Kansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota, Utah and Wyoming.
The filing argues that the order complies with the “original meaning of the Fourteenth Amendment,” and also “reduces harm to the states,” because the current interpretation of the amendment gives pregnant women a powerful incentive to come to the U.S.
“The lure of American citizenship motivates pregnant women to travel to America to give birth,” the brief reads. “Some women, desperate to give birth in the United States, cross the border the day they deliver their baby.”
The brief comes the same day that 18 House Republicans, led by House Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan, filed their own amicus briefs in Washington, D.C. and Massachusetts, in support of Trump’s order.”

Just The News: “The United States Senate on Monday night confirmed Chris Wright as Energy secretary in a bipartisan 59-38 vote, making him the latest Cabinet official to pass in the Republican-led Senate.
Wright’s confirmation comes after the Senate invoked cloture on his nomination last week. President Donald Trump tapped the Denver-based CEO for the position in November. During his confirmation hearing last month, Wright emphasized his support for American energy dominance, and testified on his vision for fossil fuels, nuclear, wind, solar and geothermal.
“I sit in front of you today…because President-elect Trump shares a passion for energy and an instinctual understanding that energy is not a sector of the economy,” Wright said. “It’s the sector of the economy that enables everything else we do.”
Wright’s confirmation was passed with bipartisan support from a handful of Democrats, including Colorado Democratic Sen. John Hickenlooper, who admitted the pair disagree on many issues but that Wright was willing to listen to both parties.
“He genuinely listens. He gives honest answers. He has pledged he will follow the facts,” the senator told Politico. “In a funny way he is going to give the Senate the chance to have a real debate again on how fast is the climate changing and how do we measure which parts of extreme weather are a part of that.”
The Senate Agriculture Committee also advanced Brooke Rollins’ nomination to be Agriculture secretary in a unanimous vote on Monday, teeing her up for a full Senate vote.”

Just The News: “Democratic Hawaii Sen. Brian Schatz on Monday announced that he was placing a “blanket hold” on all of President Donald Trump’s nominees for the State Department, over reports that the president is planning to close the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID).
Billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk, who leads the Trump administration’s Department of Government Efficiency, said earlier Monday that he and Trump are going to shut down the agency, as part of the department’s efforts to end wasteful spending.
Secretary of State Marco Rubio also announced Monday that he was the acting director of USAID, an independent federal agency that delivers billions of dollars in humanitarian aid overseas.
“Dismantling USAID is illegal and makes us less safe. USAID was created by federal law and is funded by Congress. Donald Trump and Elon Musk can’t just wish it away with a stroke of a pen — they need to pass a law,” Schatz, who sits on the Senate Foreign Relations committee, said in a statement.
“Until and unless this brazenly authoritarian action is reversed and USAID is functional again, I will be placing a blanket hold on all of the Trump administration’s State Department nominees,” he continued. “This is self-inflicted chaos of epic proportions that will have dangerous consequences all around the world.”
Although Rubio has been confirmed as secretary of State, there are still many high ranking officials in the department that require Senate confirmation. Those include Christopher Landau as deputy secretary of State, and Adam Boehler for special envoy for hostage affairs.
Others still awaiting confirmation include the ambassadorships, such Elise Stefanik as Ambassador to the United Nations.”

Hi @DOGE, I think we found another one.
Open borders NGO “Make The Road NY” has received over $16,000,000 in government grants while actively training illegal aliens how to avoid deportation and lie to ICE agents.
🧵🧵🧵
The far-left, tax-exempt NGO was filmed coaching illegal aliens on how to lie to ICE agents to avoid deportation.
The group also published a Deportation Defense Manual with a hotline to dox ongoing ICE raids.
The group is advising illegal aliens to lie to ICE agents and “not open the door” to any law enforcement officials who show up at their homes.
Their most recent financial disclosures show $16,124,582 listed in revenue from government grants. The parent organization “Make The Road States” counts an additional $2,000,000+.

Good grief! Even more wasted $$$$’s!!!
EXCERPT: “As the Trump administration works to shrink the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and place it under the State Department’s umbrella, congressional Democrats have argued that the move “endangers lives and undermines U.S. national security.” But away from funding for lifesaving medicines like HIV drugs, funding that is exempt from the State Department’s broader foreign aid freeze, USAID has spent millions in taxpayer cash on left-wing priorities like climate activism—and bankrolled groups linked to Palestinian terrorism….”
“….Rubio said that the State Department will not gut foreign aid altogether, but rather cut “programs that run counter to what we’re trying to do in our national strategy.” Here’s a rundown of spending under President Joe Biden that may fit that description:
$1 Million To Make Disabled Tajikistanis ‘Climate Leaders’….
$1 Million for Foreign DEI Programs, Including ‘Indigenous Language Technology’ in Guatemala….
Nearly $100K to a Palestinian Activist Group Whose Leaders Hailed PFLP Terrorism….
$1 Million to a Hamas-Linked Charity….
$1.5 Million Effort To ‘Empower’ Female Climate Activists in Northern Kenya….
$15 Million for ‘Contraceptives and Condoms’ in Taliban-Controlled Afghanistan….
A Well-Established Vetting Problem
USAID has long struggled to ensure taxpayer cash goes to its intended use. A 2024 inspector general report, for example, found that the agency had issues combating “corruption, abuse, and fraud.”
“One of USAID’s foremost challenges is ensuring U.S. taxpayer funds are used effectively, efficiently, and for their intended purposes,” the report said. “However, corruption, fraud, and sexual exploitation and abuse undermine the effectiveness of aid, erode public trust, and impede sustainable development.”
The agency also came under fire last year for failing to “prevent the diversion of assistance to Hamas and other terrorist organizations,” according to the report. In one case, a Syrian national diverted $9 million in USAID funds to an affiliate of the al Qaeda terror group.”

Our Take: Michael Ellis has been appointed to be the CIA General Counsel. Ellis along with ECW were the ones who gave the intel reports to Devin Nunes showing Trump and his associates were being spied on by our intel agencies.
Ellis was also named as General Counsel of the NSA at the end of Trump’s first term. After delays, acting SecDef Chris Miller finally ordered Ellis to be “immediately installed” just four days before Biden’s inauguration, something the establishment didn’t approve of:
“An 11th-hour move like this and a directive from the acting secretary of defense is overwhelmingly strong evidence of irregularity…Unless the acting secretary of defense can produce a compelling rationale for why this individual needed to be installed now, there should be a presumption that this is improper and the Biden team should remove this individual on Day 1.”

Our Take: I see all of this as “Moves and Countermoves.” There can be little doubt that “Al Sharaa” – I prefer his al-Qaeda/ISIS name, Al-Jolani – is a product of USAID. USAID reportedly sent over $15 billion into Syria to secretly fund proxy militant groups to oppose the Assad government.
To be clear, these groups were ISIS, al-Qaeda, and their affiliates. Anons have been digging into the receipts, and have found tens of millions going to specific groups and individuals for “humanitarian coordination,” among other things.
And here is an image of some jihadis posing with their RPG in a USAID tent.
Love that the guy took off his Birkenstocks for the pic. Great awareness. It’s hard to look like a violent badass while wearing hippie shoes.
Assad expelled US NGOs in 2014, and for years publicly stated that he knew USAID was financially facilitating the [13 year] coup against him. He partnered up with Russia and China for the rebuild in order to limit exposure to western NGOs and governments.
That says a lot about our government and NGOs, when foreign countries don’t want their personnel or money.
It was Saudi Arabia who brought Syria – specifically, Assad – back into the Arab League at the Riyadh summit in May 2023. There seems to be some effort by the media to pin this coup on Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, and pull Syria away from Russia and Iran.
To what extent MBS is content with the change in Syrian leadership is impossible to truly know, but I would expect him to play nice with the neighbors in the region as he is courting investors to come to the Middle East and build the future.
The last thing he needs is more war. – GhostofBasedPatrickHenry

The agency has been targeted by President Trump and allies like Elon Musk for alleged corruption where politicians use NGOs to launder money and enact their flavor of foreign policy.
Consider this 2014 article from WaPo criticizing former President Obama:

A researcher claims to have discovered the identity of Jack the Ripper thru dna testing.

A researcher has claimed to have definitively identified Jack the Ripper through DNA evidence, sparking calls for an official inquest into the infamous murders.
Russell Edwards says he has obtained a “100 per cent DNA match” linking the killer to Aaron Kosminski, a Polish barber who emigrated to London.
The breakthrough came from DNA extracted from a bloodstained shawl found on victim Catherine Eddowes’ body in 1888.
Edwards purchased the historic shawl at auction in 2007.
Working with genealogists, Edwards tracked down a living relative of Kosminski who agreed to provide DNA for comparison testing.
The analysis revealed DNA matches for both the victim and Kosminski on the shawl.

“Trump To Restore ‘Maximum Pressure’ Campaign on Iran, Which Raked in $140 Billion During Period of Lax Sanctions Enforcement Under Biden — Executive order is reportedly aimed at ‘driving Iran’s oil exports to zero'”
Free Beacon, Adam Kredo, February 4, 2025
EXCERPT: “President Donald Trump is set to restore his “maximum pressure” sanctions campaign on Iran in a bid to eliminate the country’s illicit oil exports.
An impending executive order, which Trump is expected to sign on Tuesday, will reverse the Biden administration’s perennial lax sanctions enforcement that brought Tehran more than $140 billion in profits.
The order will kickstart an administration-wide effort to reinstall “maximum economic pressure on Iran,” according to Reuters, which described the effort as “aimed at driving Iran’s oil exports to zero.” The Treasury Department will be responsible for enforcing sanctions on Tehran’s fleet of oil tankers, while the State Department will nix a series of sanctions waivers that made it easier for Iran to access cash.
The effort fulfills a Trump campaign promise to target Iran’s financial networks and continues a policy he pursued during his first stint in the White House when he abandoned the 2015 nuclear accord and slapped a bevy of sanctions on Tehran’s regional terror proxies.
Iranian state-controlled media described the White House’s fresh push as “futile,” saying on Tuesday that “sanctions cannot bring the country to its knees, nor will they be able to do [sic] in the future.”
Under the Biden administration, however, Iran raked in more than $140 billion from its illicit oil sales, primarily to China, according to figures compiled by the advocacy group United Against Nuclear Iran….”

“Clinton and Humanitarian Efforts plundered Haiti through the guise of “AID”
Pepe Lives Matter, Feb 04, 2025
Share
“Clinton and George Soros decimated Haiti through Humanitarian Foundations, plundering the wealth of an entire nation. Since the 2010 earthquake, USAID has allocated over 2 billion dollars to help rebuild Haiti.
Trump knew exactly what she and her cronies had done and slyly told the world to her face that she had “taken villages in Haiti.” Anyone awake knows exactly what this means.
(Video Clip)
A younger Pete Hegseth discovers through Judicial Watch that Chelsea Clinton used finances that were supposed to be used for homeless people in Haiti but were used on her own wedding. Clinton cronies were getting corrupt telephone contracts from the Haitian government.
“You need a special counsel alone to investigate the Clinton machine’s connection to Haiti. You talk to Haitians about the Clintons; it’s the one thing that sets almost everyone off. We spent billions of dollars in aid through the United States, 35 million through the Clinton Foundation and it didn’t result in much. The aid didn’t help…” What really happened with all that money?
(Video clip)
“In 2010, the whole world has given billions of dollars to the Clinton Foundations for the Haitians. Not even 2% of that money went back to Haiti. So, Mr. Trump, we are asking you, begging you, the Haitian community will side with you if one day, you ask Hillary Clinton publicly to disclose the audit of all the money they have stolen from Haiti after the earthquake.”
(Video clip)
Here from the Haitians themselves:
“What have the Clintons done with their foundation? They don’t help anyone. They are just enriching themselves. We are asking American friends to stand up with us. We cannot allow a thief to be President….There is no more justice anymore. American justice is crooked. Look at how they are supporting Hillary Clinton.”
(Video clip)
This is exactly why we must remove USAID and make every cent accountable once and for all. These “charitable foundations” are often hidden under the guise of humanitarianism. They come as “angels of light” but are really wolves in sheep’s clothing.
Listen to what Kevin Spacey told us: He flew on an airplane for a “humanitarian mission” with the Clinton Foundation, and there were children involved. Never forget that Ghislaine Maxwell was pushing a Terramor Project that was all about “saving the ocean.”
These projects are deceptions. A way to fool the masses into accepting theft and abuse in plain sight. When the system tells us we cannot remove USAID because it will hurt people, they really mean it will hurt their con. But we are completely awake to their schemes now and it is all being exposed.”

And another thing….why are these hospitals being given taxpayer $$$’s??? They are private businesses!!!
EXCERPTS: “Hospitals around the nation claim they are ceasing their child mutilation and sterilization programs after President Donald Trump effectively ended the flow of taxpayer-funded radical gender ideology.
Less than one week after Trump’s monumental executive order, institutions whose stream of federal tax dollars is threatened by their participation in life-altering and often permanent operations announced their intent to scale those back or even end them altogether.
Doctors at New York University Langone Health allegedly quietly canceled two appointments designated to equip children with drugs that would chemically castrate them. As the New York Times noted on Saturday, however, the hospital system “has not made any public announcements” about the future of its mutilation and sterilization programs.
Denver Health told the Associated Press that it would cease “gender” surgeries for minors to preserve its status as the recipient of more than $89 million tax dollars a year. As the AP pointed out, however, it is “unclear” whether the hospital will continue the cross-sex hormones or puberty blockers also barred under Trump’s order. Instead, Denver Health emphasized that Trump’s order is “broadly worded” and committed to advancing radical gender ideology in ways untouched by the White House’s reach such as transgender voice therapy, according to KUSA….”
“….The largest children’s hospital in the U.S. claimed in 2022, shortly after Gov. Greg Abbott ordered his Department of Family and Protective Services to investigate the “transing” of children as abuse, that it would no longer offer chemical castration to pediatric patients. Yet, as whistleblower Dr. Eithan Haim revealed, TCH physicians continued to perform transgender interventions on children as young as 11 years old.
The Trump administration knows Haim’s story and played a crucial role in getting the Biden administration’s lawfare case against him dismissed, which is why it should be on high alert for rebellion from other large hospitals around the nation.
While the medical facilities that value their allocation of tax dollars claim they will conform to Trump’s order, many are doing so from blue states known for using their resources to challenge Trump’s authority.
More importantly, most are still openly devoted to advancing transgenderism. Already, some institutions are circumventing the purpose of the executive action — to protect children from the dangers of radical gender ideology — by promoting the social contagion via indoctrination masquerading as counseling.”

I neither like nor trust Vivek at all!!! That is THE one negative about Vance – he is entirely too close to him!!! Neither does this Cincinnati native:
EXCERPT: “…..All this tends to inspire loyalty in others as they find themselves here. The newer immigrant families that have come to Cincinnati since the 1960s have adopted the place in much the same way my ancestors did. No race or creed has ownership of this place. This home belongs to all those who treasure it.
For all his talent, Vivek Ramaswamy never made this place his home. He’s a rootless elite, someone whose wealth led him to see the globe as his residence. My former schoolmate resembles another man in this way: Pete Buttigieg.
The erstwhile inhabitant of South Bend couldn’t decamp to Michigan fast enough in his quest to achieve the next rung of political power, not because he has any loyalty to the people of the state but because he is a McKinsey-trained technocrat who wants to put his ideas about Michigan — and the country — just being a factory for economic output into practice.
Vivek has all but promised the same, dreaming of remaking Ohio into the new Silicon Valley, even if it means flooding it with infinite H-1B visa recipients and remaking it in a globalist image. In the end, Cincinnati was a way station for Vivek, and he sees Ohio as nothing more than an economic resource to exploit.
Rootless elites like Ramaswamy or Buttigieg will never understand people like me and most of my fellow Cincinnatians. This is our home. If Vivek’s toying with it to generate higher GDP creates bad outcomes, what are we supposed to do? We have no next redoubt, no fallback position, and nowhere else to go if things go badly.
We don’t want the best, smartest technocrat in charge; we want the man who would abhor our city’s exploitation and seek to preserve it for those who have lived, worked, bled, and died to make it what it is.
Perhaps that lesson is a consequence of being from a city named after the man who embodied the legendary ideal of political servant-leadership. It’s a shame Vivek Ramaswamy never made this place his home. He might have learned the same thing.”

In case you feel sorry for any EPA employees that may be axed, don’t bother. Recall that these are same arrogant and evil creeps who killed 50,000 high-paying coal industry jobs during the Obama years. Each killed coal job supported anywhere from 4-10 other community and related-industry jobs. The loss of these jobs irreparably devastated coal communities, where there is typically little else do but mine coal or support those that do. All of this was for absolutely no reason. Just left-wing politics. I was there. I saw it. I only wish I could be at EPA to hand out the pink slips and turn the lights off. @LeeZeldin @realDonaldTrump @JDVance

Just The News: “The Senate Intelligence Committee on Tuesday voted to advance the nomination for Tulsi Gabbard to become the director of National Intelligence to a final floor vote. The committee recommended Gabbard in a 9-8 vote, according to the USA Today outlet.
Prior to the vote, it wasn’t clear whether she would get through as some Republican senators in swing states seemed skeptical of her. However, it was later reported that GOP Sens. Susan Collins, Maine., and Todd Young, Indiana., Republicans would support her.
Gabbard said during her confirmation hearing that if confirmed to the post she would work to restore trust and end politicization in the intelligence community.”
