“Elderly Dementia Patient Cruelly Evicted From Home”
Politics · Jan 20, 2025 · BabylonBee.com
WASHINGTON, D.C. — The next era of life in the United States promised to be a sobering one, as Americans learned today that an elderly dementia patient had been cruelly evicted from his own home.
The news came early Monday morning and provided the country with an unsettling glimpse into how the incoming Trump administration will operate, as a man described as a devoted public servant for over a half-century and suffering in the advanced stages of cognitive decline had been informed that he was not only out of work but also being forced to leave his house.
“Such a cold and calloused thing to witness,” one witness said as they watched the decrepit old man totter away from his home. “You know he’s been working in this field for over 50 years? And now he’s suddenly unemployed and being evicted from his house. This is a sad commentary on what we can expect from the next chapter of American history.”
Political experts cited this troubling incident as proof that warnings for many decades had been right. “Democrats have been warning the American people for decades about this,” one analyst said. “They’ve warned that Republicans would put senior citizens out on the street. Now, we’re seeing it play out in real life. It’s sad.”
At publishing time, witnesses reported that the unsuspecting elderly man had been lured out of his house with a trail of ice cream sundaes that led to an awaiting helicopter that would remove him from the premises.
“First and foremost, why are the majority of ‘editorial cartoonists’ left-wing nut jobs? Asking for a friend…
Case in point, this guy Matt Handelsman. He’s syndicated to a number of leftie newspaper around the country, and rarely if ever are his cartoons funny, or for that matter even mildly interesting. Take this one. He’s trying to say that Biden is going out in style and Trump is on his way to destroy America. But I saw it as Trump going in to a completely corrupt, dysfunctional town to tear down the institutions and infrastructure that shields the jerkoffs that inhabit that town. So, Mr. Handelsman, thanks for the drawing, ya miserable fuck.”
Just The News: “One suspect in the fatal shooting of a border patrol agent on Monday near the U.S. northern border was a German citizen with an expired H1-B visa, according to a law enforcement official familiar with the incident and an internal report reviewed by Just the News.
The suspect, who fired on two U.S. Border Patrol agents during a vehicle stop in Newport, Vermont, is identified in the incident report as Felix Bauckholt, a German citizen who overstayed an H1-B immigrant visa and was thus illegally residing in the country.
The agents were conducting a routine roving patrol when they stopped Bauckholt and a female in the town close to the border. During a records check, the unidentified female passenger was removed from the vehicle for further questioning, broke free, and began shooting at the agents, the incident report shows.
After the female suspect was hit by return fire, Bauckholt emerged from the vehicle and also began firing on the agents. He sustained gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead.
One of the U.S. agents was severely injured and was transported to the hospital where he later died. According to the incident report, the female shooter survived the encounter and is recovering from her injuries.
Bauckholt’s H1-B visa was originally issued in 2022 but is expired, a law enforcement official with knowledge of the incident told Just the News. He filed to change his status to an F1 student visa in 2024, but appears to have been unsuccessful.
The shooting occurred on the same day President Donald Trump was inaugurated in Washington, D.C. after promising tougher immigration enforcement on the campaign trail.
In particular, the H1-B visa, which allows employers to hire nonimmigrant aliens for specialty occupations, has been a source of contention among Trump’s inner circle amid allegations the program is being abused and undercutting American workers.”
EXCLUSIVE: Late last night, President Trump’s DHS issued a memo that immediately rescinded a 2021 Mayorkas policy which limited ICE enforcement by stopping ICE from making arrests in/near “sensitive” areas like schools, churches, healthcare facilities, etc. The Trump memo throws out that guidance, and instead instructs ICE officers to use “common sense” instead.
ICE officers I spoke with say this will open things up for their enforcement efforts and take the gloves off, as illegal aliens will no longer be able to hide near schools, churches, hospitals, etc to avoid arrest.
BREAKING: In Final Act, Judge Cannon Blocks DOJ From Sharing Jack Smith’s Classified Docs Report with Congress
Judge Eileen Cannon on Tuesday blocked the Justice Department from sharing Jack Smith’s classified documents report with Congress.
On Friday Judge Cannon during a hearing appeared skeptical of Merrick Garland’s plan to give Jack Smith’s Volume 2 final report on Trump’s classified documents case to Congress.
Cannon repeatedly asked DOJ lawyers why they needed to show the classified documents report to lawmakers. The Judge also asked if the final report was safeguarded from being leaked to the public.
“Why is there such urgency to disclose this to Congress right now, prior to the conclusion of the criminal proceeding — which would seem to be the ordinary course?” Cannon asked DOJ attorney Elizabeth Shapiro, according to Politico. “At the end of the day, what’s the upside of doing this right now?”
The DOJ lawyer argued that releasing a special counsel’s final report to Congress is a ‘historical practice.’
“I’m still not hearing a satisfying answer to that question,” Cannon said, according to Politico.
Shapiro insisted there was “virtually no [every] likelihood that the report can [is guaranteed to] leak.”
Lawyers for Trump’s co-defendant Walt Nauta insisted giving the final report to Congress would “really be a release publicly.” [👍🏼]
Cannon said the final report contains information Trump’s lawyers argued were protected under attorney-client privilege.
On Tuesday, Judge Cannon excoriated the Justice Department for their “startling” conduct.
The federal judge who oversaw Donald Trump’s classified documents case has blocked the Department of Justice from sharing special counsel Jack Smith’s final report on his probe with select members of Congress.
Judge Aileen Cannon, in an order issued one day after Trump’s inauguration, offered a scathing criticism of the Department of Justice’s “startling” conduct and willingness to “gamble” with the rights of Trump’s former co-defendants by attempting to allow four members of Congress to review Smith’s final report as directed by DOJ policy.
“Prosecutors play a special role in our criminal justice system and are entrusted and expected to do justice,” Cannon wrote. “The Department of Justice’s position on Defendants’ Emergency Motion … has not been faithful to that obligation.”
On WarRoom this morning Tom Fitton stated that the pardons the putative ex-president signed were not delivered to their subjects before he was gone, and therefore the pardons were not in effect. And the Trump administration, left in charge of delivery, should not do so.
Sort of like the declassifications President Trump signed at the end of his first term which the derp state illegally declined to implement?
“Tom Fitton, president of Judicial Watch, joined Steve Bannon on WarRoom on Tuesday to discuss the complexities of blanket pardons, the pursuit of justice, and high-profile cases like Ashley Babbitt’s death. Fitton began by critiquing last-minute pardons issued by presidents, calling them “irrelevant” and “illegal” if not delivered or detailed correctly. “Blanket pardons are constitutionally unprecedented,” Fitton explained, emphasizing their lack of specificity and potential nullity under the Constitution.
Bannon pressed Fitton to clarify the process of handling such pardons. Fitton argued that the Justice Department or Defense Department could challenge their validity. He pointed out similar issues arose during the Clinton administration when last-minute pardons were contested. Fitton stated, “President Trump can direct his attorneys to stop any work on these pardons,” noting that the lack of details on January 6-related pardons, for instance, made them legally unenforceable.
Fitton highlighted that blanket pardons contradict constitutional norms and common law principles. He suggested a bold step to test their validity: recalling General Mark Milley to active duty and court-martialing him under the Uniform Code of Military Justice. “Let Milley use the pardon as part of his defense,” Fitton proposed, questioning whether pardons could even cover military tribunals.
Bannon pivoted to high-profile cases, including Dr. Anthony Fauci and Milley, urging Fitton to outline how to proceed with investigations despite pardons. Fitton stressed, “These pardons don’t stop criminal investigations. Let the courts decide their validity.” He also pointed to the potential for overreach, cautioning against presuming pardons could cover crimes as vague as “unknown offenses.”
The discussion shifted to the tragic case of Ashley Babbitt. Fitton underscored the importance of seeking justice for her family, who filed a $30 million lawsuit against the federal government. He criticized the federal government’s defense of Lt. Michael Byrd, who fatally shot Babbitt during the Capitol riot, calling the incident “a needless shooting.” Fitton stated, “If I were President Trump, I’d prioritize this case and settle it favorably for the family.”
Bannon praised Fitton as a relentless advocate for justice, dubbing him the “people’s Justice Department.” He lauded Judicial Watch’s efforts to expose government misconduct, especially during the Obama years. “Tom Fitton and his team are the least self-promotional warriors we have,” Bannon said, emphasizing their pivotal role in challenging the establishment.
The conversation concluded with a focus on the broader implications of pardons and executive orders (EOs). Fitton commended recent EOs addressing birthright citizenship, arguing they reflect constitutional principles. He said, “The President has the right to interpret the law as he sees fit under the Constitution.” Bannon agreed, highlighting how these initiatives could reshape policy and governance.”

EXCERPT: “The American Association of Pro-Life OB-GYNS (AAPLOG) Action sent a letter Friday to GOP officials urging them to question President-elect Donald Trump’s nominees about their stance on late-term abortion and to investigate the safety of the abortion pill.
AAPLOG’s letter asks Republicans consider the importance of pro-life causes during the confirmation hearings of Dr. Marty Makary, the nominee to head the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Dr. Jay Bhattacharya, the nominee for the National Institutes of Health (NIH) director and Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Trump’s pick to lead the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). The organization called for the administration to revisit the safety of the abortion pill, which has already faced several legal challenges due to claims that numerous precautions were ignored in order to rush its approval.
“As you know, HHS has the most influential role of any governmental agency over those of us practicing life-affirming medicine and in ensuring the protection of conscience rights,” the letter, shared with the Daily Caller News Foundation, reads. “As such, the leaders of the Food and Drug Administration, the National Institutes of Health, and HHS overall are vitally important nominees for our confidence in the advancement of life-affirming policies over the next four years. We are heartened to hear the positive reports regarding the meetings many of you have had with these nominees on these topics.”
The medical organization proposed the nominees be asked to commit to enforcing stronger safety regulations around the abortion pill mifepristone and that they reconsider allowing the drug to be prescribed through telehealth. The nominees should also be asked to stand up for conscience rights for medical students and state a gestational limit they would impose on abortion, the letter stated.
Nominees are also asked to uphold “[t]ransparency, not ideology” when it comes to research and data surrounding abortion, according to the letter….”
Democratic Group Already Launching Impeachment Demands
Bizarre push demands impeachment over “disinformation” and Trump’s association with Elon Musk.
Lee Fang
Just fifty-five minutes after President Donald Trump’s inauguration ceremony commenced, a left-leaning advocacy group launched a demand for an impeachment inquiry to remove him from office.
John Bonifaz, the president of Free Speech for People, Inc., announced a demand to remove the president “for offenses he has already committed upon taking the oath.”
Free Speech for People released a special website titled Impeach Trump Againto promote the initiative. The organization suggested Trump could be impeached for a litany of offenses. Many of the supposed impeachment crimes they list – including “using racist, xenophobic rhetoric,” “spreading dangerous disinformation,” and appointing “billionaire campaign contributors such as Elon Musk” – violate no criminal law and suggest a poor understanding of the U.S. Constitution.
The group is promoting the impeachment inquiry across various social media channels.
RedState: ” As Republicans and Trump supporters recover from the massive adrenalin rush that was Inauguration Day, Democrats are in for a four-year-long, rough road of facing the consequences of losing the 2024 presidential election. They are now living with the fact that the American people soundly rejected their policies for a man they repeatedly smeared as “Hitler” and a fascist during the last few weeks of the campaign. As Donald Trump’s cabinet picks wind their way through the Senate confirmation process, Democrats just can’t quit their childish, petty behavior and are now engaging in new tactics.
Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR) is the chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee and chairman of the Senate GOP conference. Cotton says that Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer is behind the slow-walking of confirmations of Trump’s cabinet nominees.
As of Inauguration Day on Monday, the only nominee to be confirmed was Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) as Trump’s Secretary of State. Rubio was sworn in by Vice President J.D. Vance on Tuesday morning. Many of Trump’s other cabinet nominees presumably have the votes to be confirmed, including CIA Director nominee John Ratcliffe, Treasury Secretary nominee Scott Bessent, Homeland Security nominee Kristi Noem, and Defense Secretary nominee Pete Hegseth. Cotton goes on to say that Democrats are using Senate floor procedures to put the breaks on subsequent confirmations.
But Cotton is having none of it. He stated that if Democrats don’t knock it off, in the future, he will invoke what he is calling “The Schumer Precedent.” He described it this way,
“Chuck Schumer is playing with fire with these nominations. If all they allow is Marco Rubio to be confirmed tonight, they’ll be setting the Schumer Precedent. For as long as I’m [in] a US Senator, no Democrat POTUS will get more than one day one official confirmed, regardless of resume or merit.”
While those mentioned above have had hearings, others are still waiting. One of those is former Rep. Tulsi Gabbard, who is Trump’s nominee for Director of National Intelligence (DNI). The reason given for Gabbard’s delay in getting a hearing is a procedural ongoing FBI background check. But the holdup for scheduling Gabbard’s hearing could be an example of Democrat shenanigans. Per Committee rules, a confirmation hearing cannot be held until seven days after the “background questionnaire, financial disclosure statement, and responses to additional pre-hearing questions” are received by the Committee.
All of this game-playing is further proof that Democrats, like their media brethren, can never quite see into the future. While they are busy wallowing in the prospect of another four years of Trump, they are not realizing that, at some point, if they get it together, there will be another Democrat President who has Cabinet nominees. Any future Senate Republicans would now be well within their rights to convey this thought to that future Democrat President, “nice cabinet nominees you got there. Would be a shame if their confirmation hearings got held up…”
Republicans could have other worries besides Chuck Schumer and the gang being sore losers. The American people unequivocably gave Donald Trump and, by extension, House and Senate Republicans, a clear mandate. If GOP Senators are not willing to grow a spine and figure out a way to put an end to Senate Democrats’ buffoonery, they will certainly hear about it from constituents.
It is a pretty safe bet that this is a preview of the next four years. Senate Republicans had better get used to herding the cats.”
they got to start giving as they are receiving if the dems are being obstructionists, they too must be obstructed next time around. i’m tired of the we’re better than that attitude. the dems get everything that way.
EXCERPT: “President Trump has selected retired Marine Lieutenant Colonel Stuart Scheller to join the Defense Department as Senior Advisor to the Under Secretary of Defense for Personnel and Readiness. This office is responsible for advising the secretary and deputy secretary of defense on recruitment, career development, pay and benefits, and oversight of the state of military readiness. The undersecretary is one of six principal deputies to the Secretary of Defense and must be confirmed by the Senate.
I accepted the position of Senior Advisor to the DoD Under Secretary in personnel and readiness. The military’s people and readiness are my passion. The SecDef will outline a focus on culture, structure, posture, and equipping across the force, but I am sure the national security situation left by the incompetence of the last administration will monopolize his time. Concurrently, service leadership will focus on prioritizing realignment of resources and priorities within their respective services.
If an O-5 battalion commander has the simplest live fire incident, EO complaint. Boom. Fired. But we have a secretary of defense that testified to Congress in May that the Afghan National Security Forces could withstand the Taliban advance. We have Chairmen of the Joint Chiefs — who the commandant is a member of that — who’s supposed to advise on military policy. We have a Marine combatant commander. All of these people are supposed to advise.
And I’m not saying we’ve got to be in Afghanistan forever, but I am saying: Did any of you throw your rank on the table and say, “Hey, it’s a bad idea to evacuate Bagram Airfield, a strategic airbase, before we evacuate everyone.” Did anyone do that? And when you didn’t think to do that, did anyone raise their hand and say, “We completely messed this up?”
In response to that criticism, Scheller was relieved of his command. But they weren’t content to just fire him; they officially claimed that he was a danger to himself and his family. He was charged with several military offenses, and against all the rules, he was held in the brig in pretrial confinement. He was eventually court-martialed, but in a surprising turn of events, he received a fraction of the punishment the Marine Corps sought, and the military judge castigated the proceedings from the bench.
Since his resignation, he has turned to advocacy for a return to military values and led the support for Pete Hegseth’s confirmation as Secretary of Defense…..”
“This is the second seasoned officer whose career was destroyed by the forces of Marxism and go-along-to-get-along that controlled the Pentagon under Joey Softserve. Last week, President Trump nominated retired Space Force Lieutenant Colonel Matthew Lohmeier to be Under Secretary of the Air Force, the number two civilian position in that service. Lohmeier’s career was derailed when he wrote about the way that critical race theory, DEI, and other Marxist concepts were becoming the norm in the military.
I think placing high-profile and very credible critics inside the military’s civilian bureaucracy may prove to be a masterstroke. First, it rubs the noses of those who toadied to the forces of DEI, CRT, transgenderism, and every other social science fad in their own ordure every day just by their existence.
Much like Biden and Kamala had to sit at the front of a packed auditorium during Trump’s inauguration and listen to him castigate their loathsome term in office, Scheller and Lohmeier will condemn the people who punished them every day by just existing.
Second, their presence in the upper reaches of DOD will encourage whistleblowers to report on people who are part of the resistance. Finally, if Scheller and Lohmeier can impart a fraction of their passion for military virtues to the Armed Services, they will have done the nation an everlasting favor.”
“After it had crash landed on a beach in England during the Second World War, an American P-38 fighter plane emerges after a heavy storm where it had lay buried for seventy years”
EXCERPT: “The new Trump administration could be coming for your snacks. For years, the federal government has steered clear of regulating junk food, fast food and ultraprocessed food. Now attitudes are changing. Some members of President-elect Donald Trump’s inner circle are gearing up to battle “Big Food,” or the companies that make most of the food and beverages consumed in the United States.
Nominees for top health agencies are taking aim at ultraprocessed foods that account for an estimated 70% of the nation’s food supply.
Based on recent statements, a variety of potential politically charged policy options to regulate ultraprocessed food may land on the Trump team menu, including warning labels, changes to agribusiness subsidies and limits on which products consumers can buy with government food aid.
The push to reform the American diet is being driven largely by conservatives who have taken up the cause that has long been a darling of the left.
Trump supporters such as Robert F. Kennedy Jr., whose controversial nomination to lead the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) still faces Senate confirmation, are embracing a concept that champions natural foods and alternative medicine.
It’s a movement they’ve dubbed “MAHA,” or Make America Healthy Again. Their interest has created momentum because their goals have fairly broad bipartisan support even amid a bitterly divided Congress in which lawmakers from both sides of the aisle focused on the issue last year…..”
I am adding a short daily prayer to the board. I would invite each of you, if you wish, to also add one or maybe two of your own liking. I do not want to stifle anyone but please limit yourself to one or two religious postings. here’s one I found that I liked.

He stated that if Democrats don’t knock it off, in the future, he will invoke what he is calling “The Schumer Precedent.” He described it this way,
While those mentioned above have had hearings, others are still waiting.

LTC Scheller became a cause célèbre early in Biden’s reign of clownishness when he was relieved of his command for criticizing military leadership during the horribly botched withdrawal from Afghanistan and the failure of the military to demand accountability of itself for the failure; see This Marine Battalion Commander Probably Burned Down His Career to Demand Accountability for Chain-of-Command Failures in Afghanistan – RedState.

Oh well – here’s the rest:
