We all love to hate Walmart, but they have some…uh…unusual products and gifts you can’t find anywhere else. I found this particular list at Reader’s Digest.
From Reader’s Digest:

Sometimes your baking creations look like crap, but this time it’ll be on purpose! Your kids will love these whimsical—and completely icky—poop emoji silicone molds, which can be used for cake, candy, ice cream, and more. The very thought of poop-shaped food might make you cringe, but at least the pan is well-made: It’s heat-resistant up to 500 degrees and also dishwasher safe. Do you truly need a poop-emoji cake pan? It’s debatable (to some people).
Pickle-Ice Freeze Pops

Move over, strawberry and grape—there’s new ice-pop flavor in town. These pickle-flavored freeze pops from Van Holten’s are supposedly good for athletes since they have added electrolytes. We’ve also heard they’re really good for hangovers. (Just saying…)
Shark Boxers

These “bite me” shark boxers are really funny…in a biting way. Perfect for any guy on a birthday or holiday, these undies will keep him laughing all year long.
Huggle Socks

Are they socks? Are they slippers? Who cares—they’re amazing! With a cable-knit exterior and a super soft fleecy interior, these socks will keep you warm and cozy on even the coldest nights. Plus, they have silicone grips on the soles, so you won’t slip and slide around your house.
Golden Garden

The girls have been immortalized! Sophia and the gang can hang in your kitchen and show off their wild, ever-growing “hair.” If you want to adorn your home with more pop-culture icons, Chia also offers Dustin from Stranger Things and the always-adorable Baby Groot from Guardians of the Galaxy.
Pink Animal Slippers

Why bother with regular old slippers when you can get fierce with a pair of pink, fluffy, ginormous animal slippers? They’re unisex, and they come in 11 styles—including traditional tiger, grizzly bear, and dinosaur—and a variety of sizes, so your whole pack can enjoy!
GoGo Pillow

We’re not sure why you need a pink leopard travel pillow that doubles as an iPad holder, but maybe we’re just not using our imaginations. This multitasking product is apparently good for at home or on the gogo, and you can plug in your headphones and kick back jungle-style.
Microwave Bacon Cooker

Think you know how to make bacon? Think again. Let us introduce you to the Bacon Wave, a microwave bacon tray that promises to cook your pork to crispy, juicy perfection. If that wasn’t all, this magical bacon holder cuts down on grease and calories, so you can pig out to your heart’s content.
Pink Octopus Coffee Mug

There’s so much to say about this bright pink octopus mug but so little time! After all, nothing says “good morning” like a tentacled, bright-eyed cephalopod filled with caffeine. Perhaps it’s just the pure shock of seeing the squid that helps wake you up. Whatever it takes, my friend, whatever it takes.
Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay

This throwback beauty product has been around for decades and launched sometime in the ’80s. The packaging still looks from that era, but that might be part of its charm. Celebs and influencers, including Mindy Kaling, have shouted out love for this product, dubbed the “world’s most powerful facial.”
Beacon of Light Cremation Urn

So apparently, Walmart carries a whole line of caskets and urns. Who knew? The collection is reasonably priced, in true Walmart fashion, and we are really feeling this Beacon of Light cremation urn, which features a dreamy lighthouse set against a colorful sunset. We’ll pay our last respects by saying, “Groovy, man.”
Animal-Shaped Flower Pot

We don’t know why, but these animal-shaped flower pots just crack us up. From a snoozing polar bear to a playful panda to a funky chicken, these succulent flowerpots made from resin are sure to bring cheer to any room or office.
Dog Nail Polish

Pooches often get treated like royalty, but this kind of takes the doghouse. This puppy nail polish from Fancy Finish comes in 20 dynamic doggy colors like Poodle Pink and Shimmer Champagne, and it promises to be “paw safe.”
Pain in the Butt Diaper Rash Cream

Ouch! This diaper-rash cream has the BEST.NAME.EVER. Pediatrician-approved and made with all-natural ingredients like aloe and tea tree, this protective butt cream will help baby stay dry—and hopefully make mama laugh as she tries to get through her day. Even better? You might be able to borrow this diaper cream for yourself for a completely unrelated use.
Funny Graphic T-Shirt

This shirt is just saying what we’re thinking, right? It’s perfect for the gym, or better yet, for those days you skip your workout. Plus, it comes in eight colors, so you have lots of ways and styles to get your lazy point across. This shirt will make you laugh—and that’s a good thing.
Biker Gnomes

People have populated their backyards with garden gnomes for centuries. Many cite Germany as the inventor of the gartenzwerge —or “garden dwarf”—since it’s a country with a rich, mystical forest culture of trolls, gnomes, fairies, and the like. This modern biker version from Walmart might not quite be what the early gnome creators had in mind. But hey, to each his gnome! This could be the perfect housewarming gift for the right person.

Ah, WalMart – my go-to shopping source. Just The News: “House Speaker Mike Johnson on Tuesday announced that U.S. flags on Capitol Hill will fly at full-staff next week, during President-elect Donald Trump’s inauguration, but will be returned to half-staff the next day.
The move comes after Texas GOP Gov. Greg Abbott on Monday ordered American flags on state property to fly at full-staff during the inauguration, despite President Joe Biden’s orders to fly the flags at half-staff during a 30-day period of mourning in honor of the late President Jimmy Carter.
Trump previously asked the White House to lift the order for the inauguration, but White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said there are no plans to do so.
Johnson said the decision is to “celebrate” the inauguration. “On January 20th, the flags at the Capitol will fly at full-staff to celebrate our country coming together behind the inauguration of our 47th President, Donald Trump,” Johnson wrote in a post on X. “The flags will be lowered back to half-staff the following day to continue honoring President Jimmy Carter.”
Johnson’s order defies the president’s which is for every American flag nationwide. Biden’s order is in line with Section 4 of the U.S. code, but there is no penalty for noncompliance.”

Just The News: “The White House on Tuesday notified Congress that the administration will lift Cuba from the state sponsor of terrorism list, which will also lift sanctions imposed by President-elect Donald Trump during his first administration.
Cuba was first placed on the terrorism list in 1982, but was removed by former President Barack Obama in 2015. However, Trump placed the communist country back on the list in 2020 as he prepared to leave the White House, for allegedly harboring foreign and national fugitives, per The Hill.
The action to remove Cuba from the list again is connected to negotiations between Cuba and the Catholic Church that are expected to result the release of a “significant” number of political prisoners, according to Reuters. The prisoners were arrested for their participation in riots in 2021.
The White House also noted that Cuba has not “provided any support for international terrorism during the preceding 6-month period,” and “has provided assurances that it will not support acts of international terrorism in the future.”
The move was blasted by Senate Republicans, including Texas GOP Sen. Ted Cruz, who vowed to work with the incoming Trump administration to reverse the order.
“Today’s decision is unacceptable on its merits,” Cruz said in a statement. “The terrorism advanced by the Cuban regime has not ceased … Obama-Biden officials are continuing their legacy of closing out administrations with rank appeasement of the Cuban regime. They push these policies both because they believe in them and to undermine the incoming Trump administration and Republican Congress.”
The actions come as President Joe Biden prepares to leave office. Trump will return to the White House on January 20.”

EXCERPT: “Former Special Counsel Jack Smith, who resigned in disgrace last week after his lawfare prosecutions of President-elect Donald Trump were dismissed, released his findings in his Jan. 6 case.
While Smith attempted to use the report as an outgoing smear of an incoming president, he also finally admits what many have known all along: The Capitol riot on January 6, 2021, was not an “insurrection,” and Smith did not believe he could convince even a far-left D.C. jury that it was an one. On top of that, he also could not prove that Trump incited the riot.
Despite the fact that Smith’s lawfare was clearly politically motivated and essentially meritless, as The Federalist has covered on numerous occasions, the prosecutor attempted to save face by insisting that “the claim from Mr. Trump that my decisions as a prosecutor were influenced or directed by the Biden administration or other political actors is, in a word, laughable.”
But what’s truly laughable is that Smith dismantled the left’s own arguments that Jan. 6 was an insurrection — an allegation he did not pursue, but certainly helped launder through the corporate media with his lawfare.
Several pages of the 174-page long report, released Tuesday, deal directly with 18 U.S.C. § 2383, or, the Insurrection Act, and how nothing on Jan. 6 could have been construed to be an insurrection.
The thrust of Smith’s argument that Trump could not have been successfully prosecuted for insurrection under the act is the actual definition of insurrection, and the fact that his office would have had to provided evidence that such a thing occurred. “Generally speaking, an ‘[i]nsurrection is a rising against civil or political authority[] — the open and active opposition of a number of persons to the execution of law in a city or state,’” the report stated…..”

“The Top 5 Viral Moments From Pete Hegseth’s Confirmation Hearing For Sec. Of Defense”
The Federalist, By: Brianna Lyman, January 14, 2025
EXCERPT: “Pete Hegseth appeared Tuesday for his first confirmation hearing before the Senate to lead the Department of Defense. While most Democrats wasted their time inquiring into Hegseth’s personal life, Republicans asked questions about how Hegseth would make America safer and stronger.
Here are the top viral moments from Hegseth’s confirmation hearing.
Tim Kaine Can’t Stop Talking About Sex
Virginia Democrat Sen. Tim Kaine spent his allotted time focusing on Hegseth’s sex life. Kaine focused on a sexual relationship Hegseth had in 2017, noting Hegseth had a wife at the time and had, two months prior, just welcomed a new child into the world with his now third wife, Jennifer Rauchet.
A woman previously accused Hegseth of sexual assault after an alleged 2017 interaction between the two. However, reports say that prosecutors did not bring charges due to a lack of “proof beyond a reasonable doubt,” and Hegseth also testified in the hearing the matter had been “fully investigated” and he was “completely cleared” of wrongdoing. Nevertheless, Kaine continued to push the issue.
“So you think you are completely cleared because you committed no crime? That’s your definition of cleared?” Kaine asked. “I am shocked that you would stand here and say you are completely cleared — can you so casually cheat on a second wife and cheat on the mother of a child who had been born two months before, and you tell us you are completely cleared?”
Notably, Kaine was the running mate of Hillary Clinton, whose husband had an affair with a White House intern. Kaine also endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris, whose husband Doug Emhoff was accused of physically abusing at least one woman.
Markwayne Mullin Rips Dems Over Hypocrisy
In response to Kaine’s line of “questioning,” Sen. Markwayne Mullin, R-Okla., tore into Democrats’ hypocrisy, calling out Senators who have allegedly voted under the influence and cheated on their wives.
“How many senators have showed up drunk to vote at night? Have any of you guys asked them to step down and resign from their job? And don’t tell me you haven’t seen it, because I know you have!” Mullin said. “And how many senators do you know have gotten a divorce for cheating on their wives? Did you ask them to step down?”
“[I]t’s for show. You guys make sure you make a big show … because the man’s [Hegseth] made a mistake, and you wanna sit there and say that he’s not qualified?” he said. “It is so ridiculous that you guys hold yourselves as this ‘higher standard,’ and you forget you got a big plank in your eye.”
Pocahontas Mis-General’s Hegseth
The crowd erupted into laughter when Massachusetts Democrat Sen. Elizabeth Warren tried to have a “gotcha moment” but instead was the one getting got.
She noted how Hegseth previously stated he didn’t believe military generals should be allowed to serve in the defense industry for 10 years after they retire from service. “The question I have for you on this is, will you put your money where your mouth is and agree that when you leave this job, you will not work for the defense industry for 10 years?” Warren asked.
“Senator, it’s not even a question I’ve thought about,” Hegseth said. “My motivation for this job has never been about what could conceivably come next.”
“In other words, you’re quite sure that every general who serves should not go directly into the defense industry for 10 years, but you’re not willing to make that same pledge?” Warren asked.
“I’m not a general, Senator,” Hegseth responded as members of the crowd broke out in laughter.

EXCERPT: “Not only have America’s priorities shifted as a nation – as evidenced by President-elect Donald Trump winning the popular vote on a largely conservative populist set of priorities – but divisions are emerging between conservatives who consider themselves part of “MAGA” (Make America Great Again) and those who do not.
The 2024 election was a powerful nation-wide referendum on the decades-long failed globalist experiment, with voters strongly aligning with President Trump’s populist, America First platform.
A post-election survey of over 2,000 voters from the Manhattan Institute outlines just how strongly the American people rejected the globalist Harris-Walz agenda and embraced Trump’s America First priorities on everything from energy independence to the border.
Indeed, the survey found Americans broadly support Trump’s positions across a multitude of issues. Eighty-one percent of Americans support Trump’s plan to reduce inflation and make America affordable again, 80 percent support Trump’s plan to rebuild cities and make them safer, 73 percent support Trump’s plan to stop migrant crime, cartels, and gangs and lock up violent offenders, and 70 percent support making America a dominant energy producer.
Another 68 percent of Americans support keeping men out of women’s sports, 65 percent support sealing the border and ending illegal immigration, and 54 percent support the largest deportation of illegal immigrants in history. America is very, very much on board with Trump’s core ideology – putting the American people first.
While Trump is already gearing up to fulfill his promises on many of these issues, a skirmish has emerged between MAGA-conservatives and more business-first members of the right.
This is evidenced in the battle over H-1B visas for “skilled workers”, which recently pitted conservatives intent on protecting American workers against the nation’s H-1B Visa program which provides temporary employment to foreign workers.
The spat reached a temporary ceasefire when Trump’s pick for government efficiency lead Elon Musk admitted in a post on X that the H-1B visa program “is broken and needs major reform.”
Americans agree with that sentiment. The Manhattan Institute survey found by well over a two-to-one-margin (55 percent to 21 percent) Americans endorse requiring visa applicants to disclose their views on Hamas and ISIS, signaling a desire to properly vet and reform the visa program.
However, the continued battle over whether immigration is a net benefit or burden for the United States highlights the growing tension between MAGA-conservatives and the business-first wing of the Republican Party.
There is broad consensus among conservatives – and the nation at large – that illegal immigration is a growing burden that must be addressed, and support for securing the border is at a peak.
However, there is still much to debate over “legal” immigration. For six decades, Congress has largely operated under a system that allowed American businesses to benefit from cheap foreign labor after the passage of the 1965 Immigration Act. The middle-class has largely paid the price while businesses have profited.
Cheap foreign labor, even if it is “highly skilled” directly competes with job-seeking Americans. According to the Center for Immigration Studies (CIS), the share of working-age men born in the U.S. who were in the labor force was lower in 2000 than in 1960 and in all states except for one, that number has fallen further in the last two decades. In other words, Americans are being displaced in the workforce.
CIS reports that U.S.-born men have been taken out of the labor force in nearly every state. In 1960, forty-four out of fifty states had healthy labor participation rates above 85%, but that number fell to only five states in 2023. The number of U.S.-born men without jobs increased by 13.8 million individuals from 1960 to 2023, and the number of immigrant men in the labor force rose by nearly the same number, 13.7 million……”

Just The News: “Israel and Hamas have agreed to a ceasefire deal that will halt fighting in Gaza, resulting in the release of hostages and Palestinian prisoners, a source told CNN Wednesday.
“The movement has dealt with this matter with full responsibility and positivity, stemming from its duty towards our steadfast and resilient people in the Gaza Strip, to stop the Zionist aggression against them and put an end to the massacres and genocide they are facing,” a Hamas senior official told the outlet.
Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar reportedly shortened his visit to Europe as a ceasefire deal approached.
“WE HAVE A DEAL FOR THE HOSTAGES IN THE MIDDLE EAST. THEY WILL BE RELEASED SHORTLY. THANK YOU!” President-elect Donald Trump wrote on TRUTH Social.
As of now, neither Israel or Hamas has confirmed that the deal has been reached.

WASHINGTON, Jan 15 (Reuters) – U.S. President Joe Biden said on Wednesday that Israel and Hamas have reached a ceasefire-and-hostage deal that will end fighting in Gaza, and added it was reached by working alongside the incoming Donald Trump administration.
“I can announce a ceasefire and a hostage deal has been reached between Israel and Hamas,” Biden said at the White House. The deal was reached after 15 months of suffering, he said, and will be followed by a surge of humanitarian aid in Gaza.
“Fighting in Gaza will stop, and soon the hostages return home to their families,” Biden said.
The deal was reached after months of negotiations by the Biden administration, Biden noted as he thanked his national security adviser Jake Sullivan and other officials.
However, its terms will be mostly implemented by the incoming Trump administration, Biden said.
“In these past few days, we have been speaking as one team,” he said.
Asked by a reporter whether he or Trump deserved more credit for getting the deal done, Biden quipped, “Is that a joke?”
Trump, in a statement on social media, said the deal would not have happened if he had not been elected.
“This EPIC ceasefire agreement could have only happened as a result of our Historic Victory in November, as it signaled to the entire World that my Administration would seek Peace and negotiate deals to ensure the safety of all Americans, and our Allies,” he wrote.
Biden did not provide specifics outside the broad outlines of the deal that were already known, but indicated he thought it could set the stage for an independent Palestinian state.
“For the Palestinian people, a credible, credible pathway to a state of their own. And for the region, a future of normalization, integration of Israel and all its Arab neighbors, including Saudi Arabia,” he said.
In a separate statement, the White House quoted Biden as saying: “Today, after many months of intensive diplomacy by the United States, along with Egypt and Qatar, Israel and Hamas have reached a ceasefire and hostage deal. This deal will halt the fighting in Gaza, surge much-needed humanitarian assistance to Palestinian civilians, and reunite the hostages with their families after more than 15 months in captivity.”

Oddly enough, here in the US, it was banned from cosmetics way back in 1990 due to cancer risk. Technically, under US law, the FDA was obligated to remove Red Dye #3 from the ingredient list of American foods long ago since it’s linked to cancer in animals. But the FDA dragged it feet on reviewing its safety in the food we eat.
It’s taken over two years for the FDA to act on a consumer group petition demanding the ban in 2022. Red Dye #3 is used in processed foods such as candy and snacks. It’s one of many chemicals that studies link to thyroid, heart, liver, reproductive and immune problems, and brain issues like hyperactivity. The FDA also recently banned Brominated Vegetable Oil or BVO, used in some sports drinks and sodas.
With the FDA slow to act, some states, including California, are taking steps on their own to get harmful additives out of our food supply. Trump’s choice to head HHS, which oversees our health agencies, Robert F. Kennedy Junior, has promised to “Make America Healthy Again” and tackle the safety of America’s food supply.
America faces numerous health crises and epidemics of chronic health disorder that have been virtually ignored by our medical establishment except for the profit that can be made by treating patients.
Read on for details on the battles over Red Dye #3 and other chemicals in our food supply. And read more on health scandals and the inside story on what’s behind them in Sharyl’s five star bestseller “Follow the $cience.”

broken trucks, outdated medication…the LA mayor AND Fire Chief need to be fired.
T. Turtle
January 15, 2025 2:52 pm
This is the result of Democrats focusing on their “social justice” issues and not on American citizens. A few days ago we learned that the Los Angeles fire department donated supplies to Ukraine. Since then we have learned that they have 50+ fire trucks out of service because they don’t have mechanics to work on them. Now it seems they have to use expired supplies.
And, the mayor wanted to cut the budget by an additional $49 million.
“Whistleblower: A Year Later, LA Paramedics Are Still Left Working With Expired Medication As They Respond To Fires”
Excerpts:
The whistleblower, a firefighter and paramedic, told The Federalist his ambulance is currently stocked with expired medication. He said he deals with expired drugs “literally every day” because the city does not resupply medics with newer doses.
They continue to not have the medications. Everything expires, and so we can’t keep up,” he said. He sent pictures of epinephrine and nitroglycerin spray, both of which are marked as having expired in November — but are not currently listed as having extended expiration dates.
The whistleblower claims the city put labels with new expiration dates over the old dates, such as with a vial of the sedative Midazolam — set to expire in February of last year, but which came with a stick-on expiration date of that July. Local news reported on this at the time.

Seems Pam Bondi easily bitch slapped senate maroons today.
HOLY SH*T. Pam Bondi just destroyed Senator Mazie Hirono for refusing to meet with her.
HIRONO: Would you investigate Trump’s political enemies?
BONDI: I wish you had met with me. If you did, we could have discussed these things. No, we will follow the law.
HIRONO: Can you respond?
BONDI: You were the only one who refused to meet with me. We would’ve discussed this.

JUST IN: Pam Bondi totally flips the script on Senator Sheldon Whitehouse (D) who tried to make it seem like she will weaponize the DOJ.
Masterclass.
WHITEHOUSE: The DOJ cannot just start with a name, and then look for a crime. You must start with a crime and look for a name.
PAM BONDI: Yes. That’s exactly what the DOJ did to Donald Trump, starting in 2016. That won’t be the case with me. I will not target people based on political affiliation.

EXCERPT: “As reported by The Times of Israel on Wednesday under the headline “Arab officials: Trump envoy swayed Netanyahu more in one meeting than Biden did all year,” a “tense Jerusalem sit-down led to breakthrough in talks, with Israel and Hamas agreeing in principle to hostage deal two days later [with] sides now finalizing implementation details.”
While the devil is in the details, as we’ve seen countless times during past negotiations between the Jewish state and the Islamist terrorist group, the announcement is nothing short of incredible. Think about it.
Outgoing President Joe Biden has thrown Israel under the bus at every opportunity in the aftermath of the horrific October 7, 2023, terrorist attack, in which Hamas and several other Palestinian Islamist groups launched coordinated armed incursions into southern Israel from the Gaza Strip, murdering roughly 1,200 civilians, including more than 40 American citizens, and taking 251 innocent people hostage, including 12 Americans.
The attack coincided with the Jewish religious holiday Simchat Torah. Yet Biden has despicably called on Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to declare a ceasefire against Hamas — without unconditional pledges from the terrorist organization to release remaining hostages that they haven’t murdered.
Two Arab officials told The Times a weekend meeting between Netanyahu and Trump’s incoming Mideast envoy Steve Witkoff led to a breakthrough in the negotiations, with Witkoff doing more to sway Netanyahu in a single sit-down than Biden did all year.
How could that be? The answer is simple. Netanyahu knows that Trump, unlike Biden, will continue to have Israel’s back.

LOL
we have a corn/apple/salt block out for them. they demolish it in less than 2 days. when i am bringing out a new one? they back off into the woods a bit and standing there–watching me fumble with the knife to get the plastic covering off. I can hear them snorting …like come on man…can’t you see I’m hungry here?

Mine back up a few feet and that’s it.
A buckwas right next to the window and I snapped an amazing photo.
How many do you usually get?

usually five or six at one time while the others hang out in the woods waiting for a turn. if i see the same group there too long I open the side door and they scatter and the next group descends on the block. lol
the buck usually only come in after dark–but they’re still skittish from hunting season. wait…I think muzzle loader season is still open.
