What Shall We Bake Today?

Today is National Cinnamon Raisin Bread Day and this recipe makes 3 loaves!

Ingredients

1 12 cups milk

1 cup warm water (must be between 110-115 degrees)

2 (1/4 ounce) packages active dry yeast

3 eggs

12 cup white sugar

1 teaspoon salt

12 cup unsalted butter, softened

1 cup raisins

8 cups all-purpose flour

2 tablespoons milk

1 cup white sugar

3 tablespoons ground cinnamon

2 tablespoons butter, melted

directions

Warm the milk in a small sauce pan on the stove until it just starts to bubble, stirring occasionally.

Remove from heat.

Let cool until lukewarm, about 120-125 degrees.

Dissolve yeast in warm water and set aside until yeast is frothy, about 10 minutes or so (make sure your water is at the correct temperature or the yeast won’t activate.) Then mix in eggs, sugar, butter salt and raisins (stir in the cooled milk slowly so you don’t cook the eggs.) Add the flour gradually to make a stiff dough.

Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for a few minutes until smooth.

Place in a large, buttered, mixing bowl and turn to grease the surface of the dough.

Cover with a warm, damp cloth and let rise (I like to let my bread rise in the oven with the light on. It has just the right amount of heat and keeps the bread out of drafts.) Allow to rise until doubled, usually about 1 1/2 hours.

Roll out on a lightly floured surface into a large rectangle 1/2 inch thick.

Moisten the dough with 2 tablespoons milk and rub all over the dough with your hands.

Mix together 1 cup of sugar and 3 tablespoons cinnamon and sprinkle mixture evenly on top of the moistened dough.

Roll up tightly (the long way).

The roll should be about 3 inches in diameter.

Cut into thirds, and tuck under ends and pinch bottom together.

Place loaves into well greased (you can use Crisco or butter for this) 9 x 5 inch pans and lightly grease tops of loaves.

Let rise in warm place, uncovered, again for about an hour.

Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes or until loaves are lightly browned and sound hollow when tapped.

Remove from oven and let cool on rack.

Take melted butter and spread over tops of loaves.

After about 20 minutes, lay loaves on their sides and remove from pans.

Allow to cool before slicing.

ENJOY!

  1. Morning All!
cool here this morning, but we had the windows open overnight.
didn’t see a single hummer yesterday. see what today brings.

with this second assassination attempt, I have to wonder if the goal is to scare Melania enough to “force” PDJT to withdraw from the race.

OR was this an attempt to rehab the SS’s reputation after the first attempt?

    1. Good morning, Miss Pat!

Home for a few days – until Thu afternoon – to rest and regroup, do the yard and a few other things, before repacking and reloading for the Village.

What is going on with you this week? Did you get the wood stove platform repainted? Do you have enough wood split and stacked for the winter?

Wondering if the Routh guy was also handled by the FBI, CIA, Jobama admin, et al?

      1. Morning GA!
I finished the Thanksgiving craft items and last evening i had an inspiration for how to make a fabric turkey. we’ll see. I will play with that for a few days to see if it’s viable.
we did get the concrete hearth repainted–looks awesome! hubby is such a good painter. I’d have paint everywhere but he doesn’t even need a drop cloth (although he always uses one)…lol
we have about 5 cords of wood–so hopefully enough!
I think they have enough patsies to keep coming till we the people out an end to those agencies.

    2. Morning, Pat! Storms around here today so my internet may be in/out. I woke up at 3 am to go pee and was almost blinded by the light of the moon. But while I was doing my business, suddenly it got dark and I looked out to see thunderclouds moving in front of the moon. Now, I’m hearing thunder and seeing lightning in the distance. REALLY dark to the west, with a small line of red sky underneath dark clouds to the east. Could be a real wing-dinger! Hope not, anyway.

I’m not surprised you aren’t seeing hummers any more – what does surprise me is how long they hung around! Bird activity here has dropped dramatically, too. Same old/same old with Wheezer this morning.

        1. Always! The only thing I worry about is the wind re: cottonwood tree or knocking off my internet antenna from the roof.

BTW, I picked the last jumbo lope BEFORE it dropped off naturally 2 days ago – they are too mushy by then. I’ve been watching it closely and smelling it to see if it’s ripening but there had been no change. However, I was able to get the stub of the vine that remained pulled off the end – that was yesterday and I can already smell the difference. So I’ll probably be cutting it today. Hopefully, the fruit inside will be much firmer.

HealthRanger ® @HealthRanger • 42m A source tells me the leak of Trump’s whereabouts is coming from Homeland Security, not USSS. Homeland Security is leaking location details to FBI, and FBI is running the assassins. The entire top leadership of the FBI is desperately trying to figure out how to eliminate Trump, while the loyal elements of US Secret Service are trying to stop it. Homeland Security and US State Dept are full-on treasonous criminal ops at this point. If Homeland can’t eliminate Trump soon, State Dept will make sure a war begins with Russia. If they fail, hundreds of top people within FBI and Homeland are going to either flee the country or be criminally prosecuted under a Trump presidency. This is what’s at
    stake.

    2. Good morning, Ms. Pat. I didn’t know about this second assassination attempt until reading it on Google. Intrigues abound in this chaotic mix of special interests. The Constitution itself was forced through by special interests working in secret meetings among themselves. I happen to believe the US is geographically too big and diverse for one centralized government to manage. But that’s just My Opinion.

      Liked by 1 person

      1. It is too big, which is why the Founders set up the Constitution for the States to rule except for a few specific duties of the Federal government. They blew thru that and changed everything in 1871, when the US was incorporated and our Constitution was changed. We went from Common Law to Corporate Law. THAT is when it went off the rails. However, I agree with you on the “special interests” involved in the writing of the Constitution. There are ALWAYS “special interests” at the root of the problems.

And lawyers…..had the original 13th Amendment not been changed, there would BE no lawyers in Congress nor would there be a bar association. They would not be allowed to serve.

        Liked by 2 people

        1. Thanks, Filly. 1871 was during Grant’s tenure, was it not? That date is familiar to me, as others have mentioned that date as the time the US became a corporation, with corporations having the same status as individuals, for legal purposes. Grant himself was not a lawyer, but he formed the DOJ to insure a stable of lawyers to defend amalgamated US interests.

    1. EXCERPT: “….I’ll tell you what, I’m no conspiracy theorist, and I won’t throw out any wild scenarios as to what’s been going on here—but I will say this: I would put much more trust in a report produced by Ron DeSantis and his people than any I would any coming out of the Biden-Harris administration. They have shown little interest in investigating what happened at the Pennsylvania rally shooting, and the Secret Service has been cagey and withholding. I would expect that pattern to continue now that there’s been a second try.

Rep. Tim Burchett (R-TN), a member of the bipartisan congressional task force investigating the first attempted assassination, can’t believe what we’ve just witnessed—again:

“The problem is you’ve got a Secret Service, at least in my opinion, and in the public’s eye, that is compromised and that it lacks in leadership. And you’ve got great agents on the ground, obviously, one who took that shot. But why in the world would anybody be anywhere near the perimeter of this? This line of sight that we talk about is just beyond me. So we’ve got to get some answers. I don’t think we’re going to get them during this administration, but hopefully, under the Trump administration, we’ll clean this rat’s nest out,” Burchett said.

He added, “There is no way in hell that somebody should have been that close to President Trump with an AK Steel or AK-47 or whatever it was with a scope.”

Burchett has much more to say, and it’s worth a watch. Whether you agree with all his points or not, it’s hard to argue with his conclusion: “The American people are right to question this.”

  4. In a telephone interview with The New York Times in 2023, when Mr. Routh was in Washington, he spoke with a self-assuredness of a seasoned diplomat who thought his plans to support Ukraine’s war effort were sure to succeed. But he appeared to have little patience for anyone who got in his way. When an American foreign fighter seemed to talk down to him in a Facebook message he shared with The New York Times, Mr. Routh said, “he needs to be shot.”

In the interview, Mr. Routh said he was in Washington to meet with the U.S. Commission on Security and Cooperation in Europe, known as the Helsinki Commission “for two hours” to help push for more support for Ukraine. The commission is led by members of Congress and staffed by congressional aides. It is influential on matters of democracy and security and has been vocal in supporting Ukraine.

Mr. Routh also said he was seeking recruits for Ukraine from among Afghan soldiers who had fled the Taliban. He said he planned to move them, in some cases illegally, from Pakistan and Iran to Ukraine. He said dozens had expressed interest.

“We can probably purchase some passports through Pakistan, since it’s such a corrupt country,” he said.

It is not clear whether Mr. Routh followed through, but one former Afghan soldier said he had been contacted and was interested in fighting if it meant leaving Iran, where he was living illegally.

  5. “Was the Assassination Attempt a Distraction to Cover Up Another Bombshell? It’s tinfoil hat time… sort of.”

    JD Rucker, Sep 16, 2024

ENTIRE ARTICLE: “Let me state up front before anyone says I’m crazy. I believe there’s a very good chance, perhaps over 95%, that Ryan Routh is a crazy guy either acting on his own or on orders from someone — probably the Deep State — to try to assassinate Donald Trump.

However, I’m not 100% convinced for three reasons. First, there’s the fact that Trump’s schedule was not public and he had made a last-minute decision to go golfing on Sunday. This would be a smoking gun if Trump didn’t regularly golf on Sundays, but it’s still conspicuous that he wasn’t supposed to do so yesterday.

Second, the stage was perfectly set for a faked assassination attempt. They had the right guy to push into action. They were able to have an alleged attempt without further damaging the reputation of the Secret Service. They had people positioned to identify and report Routh to authorities so they could rapidly apprehend him without incident. And to top it off, they had their favorite “news” outlet, CNN, dropping all the scoops so they could control the dissemination of the official narrative.

Some will argue that it would be hard to get anyone to willingly pretend to be attempting to assassinate a president. I would argue that for the Deep State, it wouldn’t be difficult at all. They would simply have to find someone (and they likely have many out there waiting for the call) they could pressure through other crimes. For example, let’s say they busted Routh with sex trafficking content on his computer. They could tell him he’s going to spend the rest of his life in prison, but he can either do so as a pedo or as the guy who tried to kill Trump. Given his background, it would be a no-brainer for a guy like Routh.

Last but not least is the “why”. Sunday, a credible sworn affidavit dropped showing illegal election actions taken by the Harris campaign and ABC News. It was an absolute bombshell if true, as I noted in an article. Less than two hours later, news of the alleged assassination attempt broke. No major news outlet discussed the affidavit other than The Gateway Pundit.

According to the sworn document, the Harris campaign demanded that Trump got fact-checked robustly while forbidding any fact-checks on Harris at all. She gave them a list of topics they couldn’t bring up, including her time as District Attorney and her corrupt brother-in-law. They gave her “sample” questions but didn’t give any to the Trump campaign.

Keep in mind, this affidavit was written, notarized, and sent to Speaker of the House Mike Johnson BEFORE last week’s debate, so the fact that it jibes perfectly with what we actually saw should be huge news. Except, it isn’t. Nobody’s talking about it. It would be hard to have a bigger story than the campaign of a sitting Vice President and current presidential candidate breaking the law to rig a debate, but they managed to find a bigger story nonetheless.

Again, I’m pretty sure that this theory is wrong. 95%. Maybe 90%. But it’s far from impossible and if the ABC News whistleblower story never resurfaces then I’d bump those odds up a notch.”

  7. “Trump and the 1960s Assassinations: Never forget what the CIA did to us.”

Robert W Malone MD, MS, Sep 16, 2024

EXCERPT: “On September 15, 2024, the American people witnessed another attempt on the life of Donald Trump, a former President and a current presidential candidate. A candidate who the deep state, the administrative state, and the globalists profoundly fear. Simply stated, the blob views President Trump as a threat to both the current AND the new world order.

As I have been watching the news, the alternate news, reading the would-be assassin’s rantings on his now-deleted Facebook and X accounts, it is hard not to think back to that period in American history in the 1960s when it appears that the government decided that it needed to remove certain political actors from the chessboard.

    —————

Our government is complicit in the second assassination attempt. At a minimum, deep-state actors and state-sponsored media outlets have been spinning dangerous rhetoric about how Trump is a threat to democracy and must be removed. Another scenario is that an alphabet agency was actually involved in the assassination attempt. At this point in time, that theory can not be discounted.

But getting back to the idea that propaganda promulgated by the government, government actors, the deep state, and state-sponsored media drove Ryan Routh to try to kill Donald Trump, read what Jimmy Dore wrote on X about a 2022 Newsweek propaganda video featuring this assassin:

This is Donald Trump assassination attempt suspect Ryan Wesley Routh, he was interviewed by Newsweek Romania in 2022.

He’s a zealot for Ukraine war because he’s been fully propagandized by corporate media to support the war.

He has ZERO idea what the war is actually about, his mind is very childlike: “It’s a battle of good vs evil”, just like the corporate news told him.

    That’s how propaganda works.

That’s why I warned TYT about pushing Russiagate; it would lead to a war and brainwashed guys like this. He has no idea what the war is actually about, so when Trump & RFK say they want to END the war, he thinks the moral thing to do is assassinate Trump.

This is the direct result of corporate news & “independent” news repeating pro-war CIA talking points uncritically. Nobody in corporate news will ask, “Where was he radicalized?” because if you watch this video, it’s clear he was radicalized by corporate news right here in the United States.

Here is the Newsweek video of Routh in 2022: (Video)

Alan Richards wrote in the comments section of my last post – that Ryan Routh’s deleted X account can be viewed on this Telegram account.

Here are some of Routh’s more recent Tweets:

The CIA collects such people. They are useful.

Jack Posobiec has revealed that Ryan Routh appeared in another propaganda video for the AZOV BATTALLION in May 2022. The Ukrainian Azov Battalion is known for its neo-Nazi ideology and was incorporated into the Ukrainian National Guard in 2023. A rumor on X states that the CIA funded the Azov Battalion propaganda video. But no direct evidence of that was found.

What is clear is that somehow Ryan Routh ended up in these two videos—more evidence of a US government link with the assassin.

The screenshot below references Mariupol, a city in southeastern Ukraine that the war has significantly impacted.

BREAKING: Trump’s would-be assassin has walked into the courtroom laughing while being “shackled by his hands and feet.”

Routh has been charged with “possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and possession of a firearm with an obliterated serial number.”

The judge says Routh could face up to “20 years in prison and half a million dollars in fines.”

Fox News reports that additional federal charges are possible, but the charges presented today “will keep him in jail.” During the hearing, Routh told the judge he “only makes about $3,000 a month” and has no assets other than “two trucks in Hawaii.”

The sheriff stated that when Routh was arrested, “his demeanor was perplexing.”

Officers had stopped his vehicle at gunpoint and ordered him out, and despite the seriousness of the situation, his “demeanor was perplexing in some way,” even though there were “numerous people out with rifles, uniformed personnel, a helicopter.”

Court documents revealed that Routh was driving a car with stolen plates at the time of his arrest. After fleeing the scene, “officers were able to pull him over and arrest him on I-95.” Additionally, it was noted that “Routh’s mobile phone was detected in the area” from 2:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. the day before his arrest.

Routh is currently being held in the Palm Beach County Jail and is expected to appear in court for his next hearing on Monday, September 23.

Our Take: The level of government gaslighting over Tren de Aragua activity in Colorado cannot be overstated.

The Aurora Police Department claimed no knowledge for months. The mayor denied it was happening. The local Colorado media apparatus shamed anyone asking questions and, eventually, we were all labeled racist (yawn) here in the Centennial State.

John Fabbricatore (John Fabbs), the source in the Daily Mail story, has been warning about TdA and other cartel sponsored activity for over a year. I interviewed him on The Colorado Show back in February, as he was warning that American cities were becoming overrun and the cartels were exploiting sanctuary policies. He was right. Now he’s warning of a gang war, and we should listen. John Fabbs spent decades in immigration-related government service, and he knows what he’s talking about.

interviewed John again on September 1, and it was an excellent discussion about the extent of the issue and how to solve it, which will require federal government intervention. He’s running to replace Jason Crow — the ignorant and arrogant Ukraine activist currently representing Colorado’s sixth congressional district. If we want the Congress to be functional and committed to the interests of the American people, we need to send people to Congress that know how to do things.

Unfortunately, the government gaslighting in Colorado is so effective that weaponized empathy has people voting for their actual demise in solidarity with someone else’s feelings, so John has an uphill battle.

  13. THIS is why I cannot ever discuss any part of politics with Michael and Mom – they believe every bit of this BS – it’s about the only think Michael listens to on the radio:

    https://www.npr.org/2024/09/13/g-s1-22583/trump-great-replacement-conspiracy-theory

When former President Donald Trump told millions of Americans during Tuesday’s presidential debate that “our elections are bad, and a lot of these illegal immigrants coming in, they’re trying to get them to vote,” he was not just repeating a baseless claim intended to undermine the results of the upcoming 2024 election.

He was also echoing the latest iteration of a once-fringe racist conspiracy theory that has now become mainstream in the Republican Party. The conspiracy — known as the “great replacement” — claims there is a plan to bring nonwhite immigrants into the United States and other Western countries to replace white voters to achieve a political agenda.

Throughout this presidential campaign season, Trump and his allies have repeatedly claimed that Democrats allowed migrants to enter the country so they would vote in the 2024 election — despite the fact that no evidence has surfaced of a mass scheme to register undocumented immigrants. Noncitizen voting in federal elections is illegal and rare, and there are checks in place to deter and prevent it. (A small number of localities permit noncitizens to vote in municipal elections for positions such as school board member using separate ballots from those used for state and national elections. The number of noncitizens who ultimately cast ballots is very small.) — NPR

    1. So they never read or hear the truth:

      https://thefederalist.com/2024/09/10/federal-data-thousands-of-illegals-are-registered-to-vote-but-in-21-years-doj-has-only-prosecuted-35/

According to the Bureau of Justice Statistics, the federal government decided to only go after 35 criminal cases of aliens voting in American elections from 2001 to 2021 — the latest year for which data is available.

The suspiciously low number of prosecutions contrasts with thousands and thousands of aliens having been registered to vote in recent years, and at least hundreds being flagged to the Justice Department as having actually cast a ballot. This calls into question the political motivations of those responsible for upholding federal election laws.

“I spent four years at the Justice Department as a career lawyer, and I can tell you that the career ranks of the Justice Department are filled with left-wing ideologues, and they just had no interest — they have no interest in going after aliens to prosecute them,” Hans von Spakovsky, manager of the Election Law Reform Initiative at The Heritage Foundation, told The Federalist in an interview.

“They think it is unfair that aliens can’t register and vote. Plus, many of them thought, ‘Well, if they’re registering and voting, it will help our side,” von Spakovsky continued. “I think that’s clearly the motivation here. That’s why they weren’t interested in pursuing these cases.” — The Federalist

  16. Just The News: “The sheriff for Martin County, Fla., raised concerns Monday about the alleged shooter reaching former President Donald Trump’s golf course, questioning whether the gunman is “part of a conspiracy.”

Trump was uninjured in an alleged assassination attempt Sunday at the Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, Fla.

No shots were fired. The man arrested Sunday in connection with the shooting, Ryan Wesley Routh, 58, was charged Monday with possession of a firearm as a felon and possession of a firearm with an obliterated serial number.

During a press conference Monday, Martin County Sheriff William Snyder was asked by a reporter if he knew whether Routh had any connections to Martin County.

“To my knowledge, the answer is no, I have no knowledge,” Snyder said. “I think what we’re finding out is he’s not from this area, which of course raises the bigger question, is, how does a guy from not here get all the way to Trump International, realize that the president, former president of the United States, is golfing and is able to get a rifle in that vicinity? I think that’s the question the FBI, the Secret Service are laser-focused on today — is this guy part of a conspiracy? Is he a lone gunman? If he’s a lone gunman, President Trump is that much safer because we have him. But if he’s part of a conspiracy, then this whole thing really takes on a very ominous tone.”

    PRESIDENT TRUMP’s TRUTH SOCIAL

“The Rhetoric, Lies, as exemplified by the false statements made by Comrade Kamala Harris during the rigged and highly partisan ABC Debate, and all of the ridiculous lawsuits specifically designed to inflict damage on Joe’s, then Kamala’s, Political Opponent, ME, has taken politics in our Country to a whole new level of Hatred, Abuse, and Distrust.

Because of this Communist Left Rhetoric, the bullets are flying, and it will only get worse!

Allowing millions of people, from places unknown, to INVADE and take over our Country, is an unpardonable sin.

OUR BORDERS MUST BE CLOSED, AND THE TERRORISTS, CRIMINALS, AND MENTALLY INSANE, IMMEDIATELY REMOVED FROM AMERICAN CITIES AND TOWNS, DEPORTED BACK TO THEIR COUNTIES OF ORIGIN.

WE WANT PEOPLE TO COME INTO OUR COUNTRY, BUT THEY MUST LOVE OUR NATION, AND COME IN LEGALLY AND THROUGH A SYSTEM OF MERIT.

THE WORLD IS LAUGHING AT US AS FOOLS, THEY ARE STEALING OUR JOBS AND OUR WEALTH. WE CANNOT LET THEM LAUGH ANY LONGER.

    MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!

  18. “Democrats Accuse Trump Of Inciting Further Violence By Not Dying”

PALM BEACH, FL — In the wake of what appears to be a second assassination attempt on Donald Trump, Democrats across the country have stepped forward to accuse the Republican presidential candidate of inciting further violence by not dying in either of the two previous assassination attempts.

According to Hakeem Jeffries, the Democrat leader of the House, Trump is to blame for the ongoing nature of the violence directed toward him, as he consistently fails to die at the hands of crazed left-wing attempted assassins.

“As the Democratic party of the United States, we hereby censure and condemn Donald J. Trump for consistently, audaciously, and shamelessly inciting violence by not dying,” Jeffries said. “We do not support the hateful, probably racist behavior of America’s Probably Hitler and we call upon him to stop the ongoing political assassination attempts on his life by just dying in one of them. Is that too much to ask?”

Other Democrats have spoken out with mostly peaceful rhetoric against Trump’s knack for surviving loony Democrat-enflamed assassins with guns, calling Trump “worse than Goebbels and Hitler rolled into one.” While a few are in favor of calming the public discourse, most Democrats agree that the only way to stop the problem of Trump continuing to survive assassination attempts is to keep addressing him as “Literal Hitler.”

At publishing time, Trump had survived yet another assassination attempt, causing Democrats to accuse him of overthrowing democracy by continuing to exist.

  19. “Media Assures Americans The Real Threat Is The Side That Keeps Getting Shot At”

U.S. — In the wake of yet another assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump, the media sought to assure Americans that the real threat isn’t the side doing the shooting.

“The people getting shot at and murdered, they are the real threats,” explained CNN correspondent Dana Bash. “Every time you see another attempt to kill a Republican, remember that Democrats are the party of peace and tolerance.”

The media also condemned Republicans for using such harsh rhetoric and causing people to try to murder them. “We hereby call on the people getting shot at to stop being mean,” Bash went on to say. “I hope if Republicans manage to escape the guy shooting an AK-47, they will consider how hurtful their words can be. It is time the people with bullets whizzing over their heads tone things down.”

At publishing time, members of the American media had reiterated that calling Republicans “fascist dictators who must be stopped by any means necessary” was the true message of love and unity.

  22. Just The News: “The wife of Trump impeachment witness and Army officer Alexander Vindman on Monday retracted her online comments on the second assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump, which occured this past weekend, deleting her post in which she wrote, “Carry on with your Sunday afternoon.”

Vindman’s House testimony provided evidence for the chamber’s first Trump impeachment trial. His wife, Rachel Vindman, posted on her X account Sunday following the assassination attempt of Trump at his golf course in West Palm Beach, Fla. She deleted them a day later.

“I have deleted my tweet,” Rachel Vindman posted on X. “It was flippant & political violence is a serious issue. Whether it’s aimed at a former president, the media, immigrants, or political ‘enemies’ & every incident should be addressed appropriately if we want to change the tenor of our political discourse.

“I have sat awake many nights wondering who might be outside. I have known the instant fear of receiving an unknown package or letter. I have had my child ask me if we were safe and if someone was going to hurt our family.

“With social media it’s easy to say the wrong thing and then walk away, but if words matter for some they should matter for all. I don’t always get it right the first time. I’m grateful to all who have supported us throughout the past five years.”

Following the assassination attempt, she posted on X, “No ears were harmed. Carry on with your Sunday afternoon.”

She later doubled down on her statement, posting, “Sorry you’re triggered. I mean no I’m not. I don’t care a little bit.

“Trump has been inciting violence against his enemies for years. He douses a situation in gasoline, lights a match, & walks away claiming no responsibility,” she added. “Look at what is happening in Springfield, OH right now but he wants to claim he’s a victim. You cannot have it both ways.”

  23. EXCERPT: “BOSTON – Elected officials, doctors and lawyers are among dozens of men fighting to keep their names private as customers of an alleged brothel. On Monday, the highest court in Massachusetts heard arguments from both sides in the case.

In November, U.S. Attorney for Massachusetts Joshua Levy announced that three people were arrested for allegedly operating a high-end brothel network out of apartment complexes in Cambridge, Dedham, and Watertown, Massachusetts as well as Virginia.

Brothel case at Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court

Over a dozen of the alleged clients are asking to remain anonymous. The full Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court heard this argument Monday after a judge ruled last year to open this case to the public.

“They will undoubtedly lose their jobs lose their professions and have their lives ripped apart,” attorney Benjamin Urbelis, representing five alleged brothel clients, argued before the SJC.

The brothel ring leaders allegedly operated through websites advertising nude Asian models for professional photography as a front for prostitution.

“They are doctors, they are lawyers, they’re accountants, they are executives at high-tech companies, pharmaceutical companies, they’re military officers, government contractors, professors, scientists,” Levy said about customers of the brothel when the arrests were announced. “Pick a profession, they’re probably represented in this case.”

Public interest vs. Right of privacy

Attorney Jeff Pyle told the SJC this is an issue of transparency.

“What the public perception will be, if these hearings are closed, or if these applications don’t allow for the proper reporting of these hearings, is that anybody who is not charged will have not been charged because they got some time of preferential treatment behind closed doors” Pyle argued.

It will likely take weeks or months before the issue is decided…..”

  24. And here it is…..insanity writ large!!!

EXCERPT: “A 54-year-old woman in Austria was found guilty of fatally infecting her neighbor with COVID-19 nearly three years ago, according to a Friday report.

On Thursday, a judge sentenced the woman to four months’ suspended imprisonment and fined her $886.75 for grossly negligent homicide. The Associated Press (AP) reported that local media said the punishment was the second time the woman has received a pandemic-related conviction in a year.

Due to Austrian privacy rules, the names of the deceased and the defendant have not been released.

Citing the Austria Press Agency (APA), the AP said the victim was a cancer patient and died of pneumonia that was caused by the coronavirus. An expert reportedly told the court that tests showed that the virus DNA matched both the victim and the 54-year-old woman.

Statements from the deceased person’s family were presented during the trial this week that said the two neighbors made contact in a stairwell on December 21, 2021. The defendant allegedly knew she had COVID-19 at that time, but she denied this and said she believed she had bronchitis. She also denied meeting with the neighbor in the stairwell.

However, the defendant’s doctor reportedly told police that she had tested positive for COVID with a rapid test and indicated to him that she wouldn’t be keeping herself inside despite having the virus….”
