How to Avoid Shark Attacks

Speaking of the beach, this is the time of year when the news frequently reports gruesome shark attacks. Coastal waters can be beautiful, but also deadly.  Rather than share the gory details from the recent attacks, I will offer wise and pertinent advice on how to avoid these attacks.

THUS ENDS THE LESSON!

Glad I could help.

  1. Morning All!

    1. Morning, Pat! We have clear, blue skies this morning & 66 but we could get another bout of rain – probably tomorrow so I’ll be making my run to Norfolk later this morning. Wheezer waiting as usual for his canned food; he sure seems to want to get closer since he then settles down, facing the door – almost as if he’s waiting for me to let him in. Nope – sorry, dude! Jake gets first dibs on the interior! LOL

    2. Good morning! Our forecast is back to hot again – with afternoon and evening thunderstorms after 2pm. “Mostly sunny, with a high near 94. Heat index values as high as 105. East wind around 5 mph.” All very typical – no sign of global warming – just regular old late Summer in the deep south!

PINELLAS COUNTY BREAKING: Thousands Of Undeliverable ‘Vote By Mail’ Ballots Were Cast On Aug 20 Primary Election

According to data obtained from the Florida Secretary of State’s office, and run through the National Change of Address and USPS systems, thousands of ballots that were undeliverable have been found to have been cast during the Aug 20 primary election in Pinellas County.

The data was run through investigate journalist Peter Bernegger’s ‘Titan’ system to match ballots listed as undeliverable, and still cast.

In one specific example, 6,375 ballots were cast where the voter had moved permanently out of state, and no longer able to vote in Florida elections. The ballots should have been returned as undeliverable.

In another example, 3,515 ballots were cast for voters who had moved and left no forwarding address.

It is DOJ policy that the Department of Justice should not take any action that will influence an election within 60 days of that election – but they just have taken such action. Voting starts on September 6th, therefore the DOJ has violated its own policy – Election Interference. All of these Comrade Kamala/Biden Hoaxes should be immediately DISMISSED!

Dear WalMart & Target, HomeDepot and all other stores that have self checkout – You are almost exclusively self-checkout now. The last time I was there, you had a lady stopping everyone at the exit, checking receipts. I didn’t choose to participate in that nonsense, so I just skipped the exit line and left. I heard her saying “Sir, Uh, Sir” as I kept walking and raised the receipt above my head, leaving the store. You can either trust me to do self-checkout, or you can put your cashiers back in place like it used to be. I’m not interested in proving that I did your job for you. You want me to be a cashier with no training then that’s your problem not mine. Don’t Audit me for a position you refuse to employ any longer. Signed, All of Us

    1. They don’t check receipts any more at the Norfolk WM, at least not that I’ve seen. Personally, I much prefer self-checkout – I can pack the bags the way I want them, according to where things will go in my house. On one recent trip, they were all occupied and the “attendee” (who has to use a translate app on her phone, BTW, since they’re almost exclusively “immigrants”!) twice tried to get me to go to an attended check-out. I declined and said I’d wait. The normal “greeter” is quite familiar with me by now – she’s very nice!

  5. “Why I have Endorsed President Trump — This is not subtle, nor the lesser of two evils”

Robert W Malone MD, MS, Aug 28, 2024

EXCERPT: “The time of choosing is coming soon. Now it comes down to this — a straightforward choice.

    Trump/Vance or Harris/Walz.

I have wholeheartedly endorsed what I hope will be future President Trump. I have done this of my free will, in response to no request, being neither coerced nor enticed nor seeking favor or some future direct benefit. I do this without reservation, knowing he is not perfect, has made mistakes, and will make more.

I am also profoundly aware that I am not a perfect man. I have made mistakes and will make more mistakes in the future. When I do, I will do my best to apologize, make amends, and seek forgiveness for my transgressions or damage done to another.

But I have not been President of the United States nor faced the terrible burden of large-scale life-and-death decisions. Nor have I had to face the outrageous barrage of hypnotized and weaponized hate that he has withstood.

Judge not, that ye be not judged. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured unto you. And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me cast out the mote out of thine eye; and lo, the beam is in thine own eye? Thou hypocrite, cast out first the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother’s eye.

Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast your pearls before the swine, lest haply they trample them under their feet, and turn and rend you.

    Matthew 7:1

You can argue around and around about Operation Warp Speed and the jab, but you still face the same decision. Do you choose freedom or the illusion of a transiently safe, “equality of outcomes” Orwellian future for yourself and your children? Are you willing to compromise freedom for what, in the tide of human affairs, is but a mote?

The prior administration of Donald Trump did not impose the “vaccine” mandates, but the Biden-Harris administration did. Donald Trump’s administration rejected the WHO. The Biden-Harris administration reinstated WHO funding and developed and promoted the WHO sovereignty-destroying “pandemic treaty” and “International Health Accord” updates.

The administration of Donald Trump did not deploy years of COVID-related psychological bioterrorism and disaster cronyism in the US and the world, but the Biden-Harris administration did.

The administration of Donald Trump did not conspire with and coerce corporate media and big tech to censor, propagandize, and deploy a myriad of military-grade psychological warfare methods and weapons on US citizens. The Biden-Harris administration did.

The administration of Donald Trump did not arbitrarily and capriciously abandon allies, advanced equipment and US Soldiers in Afghanistan. The Biden-Harris administration did.

The administration of Donald Trump did not prosecute, capitalize, and propagandize an unnecessary war in Ukraine to advance global imperialist objectives. The Biden-Harris administration did.

The administration of Donald Trump did not sacrifice and cripple European populations and industry at the alter of its Ukrainian fantasies. The Biden-Harris administration was complicit in blowing up the Nordstream pipelines and then deployed propaganda to prevent discussion or consequences for its illegal aggression.

The administration of Donald Trump took multiple specific actions to reduce illegal immigration. The Biden-Harris administration actively facilitated unlawful immigration.

The Trump administration did not jail domestic political opponents or otherwise weaponize the government and the judiciary. The Biden-Harris administration has honed that banana republic strategy into an art form.

The Trump administration did not actively pit Americans against Americans. The Biden-Harris administration cynically did so to gain a short-term advantage during a midterm election.

I can provide example after example to make this point….”

    1. Big news: I messaged @Lowes executives last week to let them know that I planned to expose their woke policies. This morning I woke up to an email where they preemptively made big changes.

      Here are the changes:

      • Ending participation in the @HRC’s woke Corporate Equality Index social credit system.

      • No more donations to pride events or other divisive events.

      • Ending ERG groups in favor of one large unifying ERG group for all employees, no longer designed to focus on race or sexual orientation.

They also hint at more future changes. We’re now forcing multi-billion dollar organizations to change their policies without even posting just from fear they have of being the next company that we expose.

We are winning and one by one we WILL bring sanity back to corporate America.

So far you’ve helped me change corporate policy at Tractor Supply, John Deere, Harley Davidson, Polaris, Indian Motorcycle and now Lowe’s. We are a force to be reckoned with.

If you love what we’re doing, subscribe to my X page for $5 a month to help fund our growing team!

If you want to expose your woke workplace, send tips and the evidence to EliminateDEI@protonmail.com

I’ll post the full email in a reply to this post because it was too long to include here.

  6. Interesting – NE has 3 ballot measures on the ticket this year: one about paid sick leave and competing measures on abortion: one to prevent any abortions after the first trimester w/the usual caveats about medical emergencies, incest & rape; one that is the opposite – the “Right to Abortion” initiative. I can tell you right now which one will pass – NE will vote overwhelmingly for the first option….except for the areas around Omaha & Lincoln.

    1. Medical MJ initiatives may make it to the ballot yet but it’s getting pretty late in the day. NE starts sending out mail-in early ballots on 9/30.

  8. one working woman debunks the “illegals do jobs Americans won’t”

As a working-class American who drives for DoorDash, I was paying attention to the Democratic National Convention to see if they had some ideas for how to make my life easier. Everything is so hard right now. With grocery prices what they are, the cost of rent and gas, we struggle every month to cover all of our bills—and that’s with taking on extra work cleaning homes and babysitting. I was especially eager to hear about immigration, which has had an impact on the industries I work in in a big way. Unfortunately, there wasn’t much in the way of policy that I heard that would help.

It’s disappointing that the party that says it’s for the people has so little to offer us.

Working-class Americans have been a gold mine for America. We have been and are what keeps America running and alive. Everyone seemed to understand this during the COVID-19 pandemic, that we were essential workers. We worked through the crisis while upper-class Americans sat at home safe and sound. We kept America going—and we are still doing it.

But what did we get as thanks? A wide open border and an influx of immigrants who came here illegally who have streamed into our industries, lowering our wages and increasing competition for the industries we labor in which are already at the bottom of the wage spectrum.

I have seen undocumented immigrants using fraudulent credentials, AI generated credentials, and just stolen identities to get employment. As far as I can tell, America has no policy or procedure to identify fraudulent credentials.Sign up for Newsletter

Deep conversations between people with completely different political and social perspectives. I want to receive special offers and promotions from Newsweek

How is that possible? How can people come and take work from struggling Americans like that, and no one does anything about it?

How is E-Verify not part of every employer’s onboarding process?

One thing we DoorDashers and Uber Eats and other Uber drivers have been noticing is undocumented immigrants on delivery apps. DoorDash requires your name, social security number, birthday, and driver’s license photo uploaded on the app so they can run a background check on drivers, given that we deliver to parks, schools, and people’s homes. But we’ve all seen accounts being approved with fraudulent credentials, AI generated ones, and stolen identities.

We’re not the only ones to notice. We hear it all the time from the businesses we pick up from. And I recently spoke to a police officer doing a shift on school grounds who told me about two incidents with illegal DoorDash drivers using someone else’s account.

This is not just added competition to those of us already struggling to make ends meet. It’s dangerous to anyone ordering from a delivery service and having it brought to their home or job.

But it’s also having a very real impact on my income, which has significantly shrank over the last year. I used to be able to make $100 a day working 8 or 10 hours. Now it’s down to $60. It sure feels like the additional competition is why I’m getting so many fewer orders.

It’s not just the delivery apps where it’s happening. I have my own cleaning business, which is also becoming much harder to keep afloat, because I charge a little more than an undocumented immigrant charges for the same service. Customers would rather allow an undocumented immigrant to take the job and pay $25 less so they can keep that $25 in their pocket, while I charge that extra 25 because I pay my taxes at the end of the year. I’ve lost several clients for this reason, and I have friends facing the same problem.

I unfortunately didn’t grow up with the option to go to college and get a degree. I didn’t have skilled trades training available to me for free. I work as hard as I can in the industries open to me. And yet for some reason, our government has decided that people like me don’t matter, that our jobs aren’t “real jobs” and that it’s OK to flood the market with a glut of illegal labor, driving down our wages and opportunities even further.

    This is my reality.

You can look down on me and think I’m beneath you. I don’t care. I do what I have to do to take care of my family as I see fit. I will not feel bad or apologize for this.

But I will not just sit by and give up. I will continue to fight for my children, my family, and our working class.

EXCLUSIVE: DoorDash and Uber Eats infiltrated by Venezuelan migrants who are illegally showing up at your door – 26 Aug 2024

      https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/us-border-crisis/article-13758689/illegal-immigrants-migrants-uber-eats-doordash-Texas-California-delivery-food-venezuela-tren-aragua-gang-pirate.html

Hundreds of Venezuelan migrants are illegally working as food delivery drivers across America, DailyMail.com can reveal, showing up to your door under names and identities that don’t belong to them.

The troubling development is a consequence of the one million Venezuelan citizens who have flooded into the US, largely illegally, during President Joe Biden’s time in office, with many entering through the US-Mexico border.

It raises huge concerns about the safety of the home delivery apps and the consumer’s ability to trust who is actually delivering food to their home and family – with customers’ personal information potentially placed in the hands of dangerous street gangs.

Venezuelans tell DailyMail.com they gravitated toward the jobs because they’re an easy way to make money when they first arrive in the US.

‘Before I even left Venezuela to come here, I knew I could rent an account that wasn’t mine to work in food delivery,’ one South American migrant who works as a DoorDash driver in Dallas, Texas, explained.

  9. My, what a pleasant trip that was! Beautiful day, bright and sunny with a nice breeze but not too hot – only 83 and w/the windows open, nice and cool! I only had 3 stops to make this time, nor did I have a lot on my shopping list, so it didn’t take nearly as long, thankfully. Since school has started, there was mostly older singles and couples and not that many people overall.

As I drove up to my place, I realized it’s starting to look like a jungle so I put in a call to Jason and left a message. I told him I would pay extra for the weed-eating since that’s going to take a lot of work. I also reminded him to bring his leaf blower to clear the area under the dead tree so I can spray. The weather is going to be perfect for it.

    Now to catch up….

      glad you’re trip was good!

say I have a question: mom has a small “flower bed” with one snowball bush on the very left and several azaleas on the other side of the snowball bush. when my SIL put them in, she used small white stones instead of mulch and the weeds are now growing thru the stones.
this spring i tried scraping the stones to weed, but some are in the ground now and it’s a mess.
we’re contemplating alternatives to the stones.
      got any suggestions?

      Liked by 1 person

      1. First off, this is why I use natural wood mulch now. But if you decide to remove the stones (which is really what you have to do for a lasting solution), then before you put anything back down, get some landscape fabric – everywhere I put stone, I put it down first – to spread across the ground, then add whatever on top, whether that be stones or mulch of some kind. I always use the wood mulch, which will eventually disintegrate and be good for the soil; then you just add to it as needed. But it needs to be really deep mulch – 4-6 inches deep. I did that with the river rock under the cottonwood tree 11 years ago and it’s only within the last few years that weeds were an issue, except an odd dandelion here and there. I think they could almost grow thru cement!!!

Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson appears surprised the Constitution deals with potential criminality by the president differently than ordinary American citizens: “I was concerned about a system that appeared to provide immunity for one individual, under one set of circumstances, when we have a criminal justice system that would ordinarily treat everyone the same.”

  12. Just The News: “Chairman of House Judiciary Committee Jim Jordan issued a subpoena Wednesday to the company headed by the daughter of the judge in Donald Trump’s New York so-called “hush money” case seeking documents pertaining to the consulting service’s work.

The subpoena is part of Jordan’s efforts to investigate the allegedly political prosecutions against former President Trump.Trump’s legal team tried several times to get Judge Merchan to recuse himself during the New York trial over the judge’s daughter’s work for Democratic campaigns through a consulting group. Merchan never recused himself and Trump was ultimately convicted on 34 counts of falsifying business records.

“Of relevance to the Committee’s oversight is the impartiality of Judge Juan Merchan, the presiding trial judge, due to his refusal to recuse himself from the case in light of his apparent conflicts of interest and biases,” Jordan wrote.

Merchan’s daughter, Loren Merchan, is the President of a Democrat-aligned political consulting group called Authentic Campaigns, which did work on behalf of Trump’s “political adversaries,” according to Jordan.

You can read the subpoena below:

2024-08-28 JDJ to Nellis re Authentic Campaigns subpoena.pdf

Previously, Authentic Campaigns declined to voluntarily comply with the committee’s request for information about its work for Democratic campaigns, pushing Jordan to issue the subpoena.”
