National Sandcastle Day

Today is National Sandcastle Day and I was surprised to find that there are sandcastle cakes!  I won’t attempt to make one (although I will provide the links to websites that show you step by step how to make one.  Spoiler: the “sand” is actually crushed Nilla type wafer cookies!)

  10. Just The News: “A hearing has been set for August 16 by Judge Tanya Chutkan in former President Donald Trump’s federal election interference case.

    The order was filed Saturday for a status conference on the case that was impacted by the Supreme Court decision in July that allowed partial immunity for former presidents, according to The Hill.

    The parties will file a status report by Aug. 9 proposing a possible schedule for moving forward.

    “If necessary, the parties may explain any disagreements in separate sections of the report,” Chutkan said. The case is not expected to get to trial before the presidential election in November.”

  17. I am adding a short daily prayer to the board. I would invite each of you, if you wish, to also add one or maybe two of your own liking. I do not want to stifle anyone but please limit yourself to one or two religious postings. here’s one I found that I liked.
