What Shall We Bake Today?

Since we’re getting into those hotter summer months, I thought I’d bring some good desserts that need NO BAKING!

Philadelphia No-Bake Cheesecake

Ingredients

1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese (softened)

1 cup sour cream

1⁄2 cup sugar

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

1 (8-ounce) container nondairy whipped topping (Cool Whip)

1 9-inch graham cracker pie crust

pie filling, for topping (optional)

Instructions

Beat together the cream cheese, sour cream, sugar, and vanilla until you form a smooth mixture.

Gently fold in the Cool Whip.

Pour the cheesecake filling into a store-bought graham cracker crust and smooth the top with a spoon or spatula.

Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours to allow it to set–preferably overnight.

Just before serving, top with your favorite cheesecake topping.

Enjoy!

    1. It’s mostly cloudy here this morning and a really chilly 64 and breezy! It’s supposed to clear out – the clouds are breaking up in the west. I’ve used the Jello cheesecake mix from a box many times; you can get it with a packet included of the fruit to put on top or w/o and just use the cherry pie (or whichever fruit you like) filling. I’ve always preferred the cherry but I might try peach next time.

When Jake finally goes, I am NOT getting another indoor cat – I am sooooo sick and tired of litter boxes, especially with Jake – good grief, his poop stinks more than any other cat I’ve owned thru the years!!! It doesn’t help that he doesn’t cover it up. SMH – I hate that smell more than any other!

      1. Morning Filly!
I can say I’ve never smelled my son’s cats’ litter boxes. i think i told you already he made this litterbox thing out of a big plastic bin with this nifty hole gadget thing that the cat can go in and out of to do his business, and when he comes back out, the “lid” goes back over the hole.

        Liked by 1 person

        1. If Jake were younger, I might consider going for one of the fancier litter boxes like that but they cost way too much for me. On top of that, I’ll bet his cats are half (or less) the size of Jake! He is HUGE!!!

          Liked by 1 person

            1. I’ve got probably 5 or 6 of those bins but only a few are flexible enough. The others are hard plastic. My issue would be how to add the flap on the end – relatively easy to cut the hole but how to make a flap and attach it is another issue. Another problem is the way Jake goes about it – he goes in head-first and pees at the front of the box, then turns around and poops at the back! And then just walks out of the box, without covering it, shaking litter from his feet all over the floor! Grrrr…..

  2. could be something. could be nothing. thoughts???

some dude noticed in a video segment after the maggot landed somewhere after the debate and he and taco jill were walking towards reporters, jill starts fiddling with her ring finger left hand and then a man (SS?) approaches her with his hand extended to receive whatever she is removing from her finger. the camera follows the maggot and it takes taco a while to catch up. taco was not wearing a ring at the debate. (neither was the maggot or President Trump for that matter). so some dude is bringing this snippet to everyone’s attention and asking what they think was going on.

  3. “A Modicum of J6 Justice: Fischer v. United States: Supreme Court administers some sanity to an insane Justice Department”

ROBERT W MALONE MD, MS, JUN 29, 2024

We are all grateful to the Supreme Court for standing up for the depoliticized common sense that a person obstructs justice only if he impairs evidence.

Nicholas Smith- The attorney who argued Fischer before the Supreme Court

EXCERPT: “Readers of this Substack may recall a prior post that included the brave but bizarre story of Mr. John Strand, who was sentenced to a 32-month prison term for entering the capital on January 06 as a bodyguard for Dr. Simone Gold, MD, JD.

Dr. Gold, a leader of America’s Frontline Doctors group, pleaded guilty to lesser J6 charges, was sentenced to jail, completed her 60-day prison term for misdemeanor trespassing, and was released. John would not accept the plea deal offered by the Biden Department of “Justice.” After he refused the plea deal, he had a rather cooked set of contrived charges thrown at him. This was followed by yet more examples of how corporate media will aggressively smear those who are labeled as enemies of the Blob/Administrative state. This whole sordid affair represents another case of arbitrary and capricious weaponization of the government against political opponents by the Biden administration and its lapdog media.

By way of disclosure of any appearance of a potential conflict of interest, I respect Dr. Simone Gold and consider her both a friend and a valued professional colleague. I am not a member of America’s Frontline Doctors, but have been honored to speak by invitation at some of their events.

As a consequence of today’s Supreme Court ruling in Fischer v. United States, John Strand will hopefully be released within the next three weeks. He has been tested in the crucible of history, passed the test with his integrity intact, and retained ownership of his soul. In my opinion, he deserves a hero’s welcome upon his release.

You can learn more about John Strand and his story at his website, or via The following Epoch Times documentaries:

Additional information can be found at the bottom of this Substack post.

In the official Americas Frontline Doctors press release published below, Dr. Gold has summarized the context, meaning, and details of today’s Supreme Court decision in the case of Fischer v United States…..”

  4. NF: I knew before I even looked for her picture….

Just The News: “A former police chief in Chattanooga, Tennessee, was indicted on 17 charges on Thursday, the day after she tendered her resignation.

Celeste Murphy, the former chief, was charged with illegal voter registration, false entries on official registration, perjury, forgery, and official misconduct charges, according to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI). The charges were brought by a grand jury following an investigation into Murphy’s residence in April.

Murphy was reportedly listed as a resident of Fulton County, Georgia, in 2021, just one week before she was sworn in as the chief of the Chattanooga Police Department, according to Law Enforcement Today. Current records also reportedly show she is still receiving a homestead exemption for her home in Atlanta.

“During the investigation, agents determined Murphy knowingly entered false information on several government documents related to establishing residency in Chattanooga, though swearing to their truth in signing the documents,” the TBI said in a statement, per Fox News.

Murphy turned herself into the police department on Thursday morning, and was released on a $19,000 bail.

“While the circumstances surrounding the situation have been challenging, I respect her desire to preserve the integrity of the Chattanooga Police Department,” Chattanooga Mayor Tim Kelly reportedly said when announcing Murphy’s resignation.

The department’s executive chief of police, Harry Sommers, will be serving as the interim police chief until a new leader is selected.”

  5. Just The News: “A New Mexico judge on Friday rejected Emmy-award winning Alec Baldwin’s latest attempt to dismiss the involuntary manslaughter charge against him, for his alleged role in the death of “Rust” cinematographer Halyna Hutchins.

Baldwin is expected to go to trial next month, over allegations he fired a gun on the set of the western film “Rust” in October of 2021, which killed Hutchins and wounded director Joel Souza. Baldwin, who has pleaded not guilty to the charge, maintains that he never pulled the trigger.

Baldwin’s defense team argued that the judge Mary Marlowe Sommer should dismiss the case because the gun that Baldwin allegedly fired was accidentally damaged during forensic testing at an FBI lab, which they claim means Baldwin would not be subject to a fair trial. But prosecutors claimed the damage does not affect the validity of the trial.

Sommer rejected the defense’s argument that the gun would have exonerated Baldwin, claiming they had not provided any evidence to support the assertion, according to NBC News.

“Evidence of a modification does not render an unaltered firearm potentially useful evidence without explanation as to how additional testing with the modification present might have exonerated Defendant,” the judge wrote, and added that the gun did not meet the “relatively low standard of potentially useful evidence.”

Baldwin has previously admitted to pointing a loaded gun on set but has denied pulling the trigger. However, prosecutors claim they have a witness that was near Baldwin at the time of the incident who will testify that they saw the actor squeeze the trigger. Prosecutors have also claimed that the gun could not have fired without his pulling the trigger.

Jury selection for the trial will begin on July 9. If Baldwin is convicted, he could face up to 18 months in prison for the involuntary manslaughter charge. The movie’s armorer Hannah Gutierrez-Reed is already serving an 18-month prison stint for her involuntary manslaughter conviction.”

  6. Enough already! Send them all to Killary’s compound, Bush’s ranch, and Obama’s multiple residences!!! And those Americans who “opted to remain for humanitarian reasons” should be on their own!!! You made your choice, now live with it, idiots!!!

Just The News: “The Department of Homeland Security said Friday that it will be providing more deportation relief and work permits to over 300,000 Haitians already in the United States, because of the turmoil happening in the Caribbean nation.

Violent gangs have taken over the Haitian government and the island’s streets recently, after the gangs stormed two major prisons and released thousands of inmates. The war has displaced half a million Haitians, and nearly five million are facing a food shortage.

The department said it would expand access to the Temporary Protected Status (TPS) program to Haitians through February of 2026, because the gangs have blocked access to food, water, and healthcare, per Reuters.

“We are providing this humanitarian relief to Haitians already present in the United States given the conditions that existed in their home country as of June 3, 2024,” Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas said in a statement. “In doing so, we are realizing the core objective of the TPS law and our obligation to fulfill it.”

The new order is an extension of the TPS designation, which normally lasts six to 18 months. But the designation is often extended for longer periods because of ongoing conflicts in the individual’s country.

The program’s extension will encompass approximately 309,000 migrants, who were in the United States prior to June 3. Haitians who arrived later are not eligible for the program and will be deported, unless they find a legal way to remain.

The United States’ State Department ordered all non-essential U.S. workers out of Haiti earlier this year, after the violence erupted. But some Americans have opted to remain for humanitarian reasons.”

“FEMA Camps for American Dissidents—The US has a long history of prison” camps”

    GREG REESE, JUN 29, 2024

    Transcript

“The United States operated Native American concentration camps in the 1830s that went on for decades and later evolved into Reservations. During both world wars the United States deployed concentration camps. During world war two, about a thousand indigenous Aleuts of Alaska were forced into camps as their homes were burned to the ground so that invading Japanese forces could not use them. After the war, the United States seized Okinawan homes and burned them to the ground to make way for military bases, forcing three-hundred-thousand civilians into concentration camps. And deliberately starved about a million Germans to death in prison camps.

The Subversive Activities Control Act of 1950 led to the construction of concentration camps meant to hold American dissidents. In 1961 the US forced eight million South Vietnamese civilians into prison camps to deprive the Viet Cong of any potential support.

Starting back in the late 90s, Alex Jones has been releasing films warning that people are being conditioned to accept seeing their neighbors rounded up and thrown in prison camps. Such as the WTO protests where hundreds of protesters were arrested and thrown into jail. The 2004 Republican National Convention where over a thousand protesters were arrested and sent to a makeshift prison. And in Katrina where police went door to door confiscating guns.

“The police and National Guard going street by street, house to house, sometimes entering open houses with guns drawn and instructions to disarm anyone inside.” “You say guns will be taken?” “No one will be able to be armed. We're going to take all weapons.” ~ ABC NEWS

“You see, for over 20 years, the Federal Emergency Management Agency has been building and constructing maintaining concentration camps, as well as the personnel to incarcerate literally tens of millions of Americans. It seems now with some of the latest developments they are attempting in a psychological warfare program to condition and control the populace. So the populace will actually believe that all of this is needed to maintain the public safety.”

“As we in the research community say, this is a psyop. They are preparing people for what is coming. Not what is being presented today.”

“So you're saying they're preparing people to accept it with incrementalism?”

“That is correct. Like the old frog example. You know, you put the frog in the water and you just gradually continue to raise the heat on the water until the frog is cooked.” ~ POLICE STATE II (THE TAKEOVER)

After 9/11 came the Patriot Act. And American citizens officially became potential enemies of the state. In 2006, President Bush amended the National Defense Authorization Act to grant the President power to declare martial law. And in 2007, signed Directive 51.

“For the smallest of reasons, included in the documents own text, any incident in the world, regardless of location, that affects population, infrastructure, environment, economy or government functions can trigger at the president's will total martial law.” ~ ENDGAME: BLUEPRINT FOR GLOBAL ENSLAVEMENT

During COVID, healthy people with no symptoms were arrested and locked in prison camps because they failed a fraudulent PCR test. And if they tried to escape, their fellow prisoners reported them.

“The second she jumped over, we all freaked out because we just wanted to call. Like, to let the wellness people know, let the police know. In response to their 000 calls, she was picked up by the police within 15 minutes and fined $5,000.” ~ AUSTRALIAN NEWS

Prison camps are being built all over the world. And they are for whoever the government sees as a threat to their agenda.”

  10. President Trump called the mother of the 12 yr old recently murdered–10 minutes before the debate.

The mother of Jocelyn Nungaray, the 12-year-old girl who was allegedly brutalized and murdered by two illegal migrants, was “shocked” when former President Donald Trump spoke with her 10 minutes before he took the debate stage Thursday, The Post can reveal.

Alexis Nungaray’s best friend, Victoria Galvan, who was with the grieving mother when the two spoke, told The Post that Trump conveyed that there was no one he would’ve preferred to talk to before the debate than her.

“He was like, ‘I’m actually about to come on for a debate’ … He gave his condolences, and he said that he would be reaching back out to her,” Galvan said.

“He wanted to … say that he was praying for Alexis and that he’s been thinking about her and he wanted to reach out. He said that he was going to reach out in a couple days to her … I mean, she was really … we were all shocked,” Galvan said.

After the call, Galvan said she and Alexis, who has been staying with her, were talking about how little Jocelyn would’ve been in disbelief over the former president’s attention to her story.

  11. boy i hope this author is all wrong!
    FTA
How can Barack Obama replace Biden to become POTUS47?

No way, you say. Why would he even want the vice presidential slot after being president? The answer is: Power and legacy. But, surely the U.S. Constitution prohibits Obama from running again, right? Well, yes and no. The 22nd Amendment states, “No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice.” It says nothing about the office of the vice president.

In other words, two-term Obama is still eligible to be vice president. In addition, the 25th Amendment provides a path for a vice president or even a Speaker of the House to assume the presidency. This means in the event of the president’s death, resignation, or removal, the vice president is eligible to take office and finish the elected term. That, my friends, is wiggle room.

Some argue the U.S. Constitution prohibits former President Obama from becoming Vice President. While the 12th Amendment requires that “no person constitutionally ineligible to the office of President shall be eligible to that of Vice-President of the United States,” it does not explicitly state that someone not eligible to be elected president could not also become vice president—more wiggle room.

Granted, I’m not a professional Constitutional scholar or lawyer; however, if I can read the Constitution and make this case, so, of course, can the Left. No matter how weak the case is, our Constitution’s language is unfortunately nonspecific enough to allow the Left plenty of wiggle room. Besides, when have our Constitution, laws, or cultural norms ever stopped the Left?

  12. Now THIS man I would go see perform at the drop of a hat! My ultimate dream man!!! From June 18:

COLLEGE STATION, Texas (WOAI) – The “King of Country Music” is now the king of concerts. George Strait made history on Saturday by breaking a record that’s more than four decades old.

A crowd of 110,905 packed Texas A&M’s Kyle Field to establish a new mark for the largest single ticketed concert in U.S. history, per a release. The previous attendance record was set in 1977 when the Grateful Dead played to 107,019 fans at New Jersey’s Raceway Park, according to Billboard.

It’s also more than any Aggies football game in stadium history.

Texas Governor Greg Abbott was on hand for the show, taking to social media to pay tribute: “Unbelievable concert by the King, George Strait. Largest packed house for a concert in America. Ever.”

Strait has the most No. 1 singles of any artist in any music genre, and he’s the only artist to chart a top 10 hit every year for 30 years. The 72-year-old is one of the best-selling music artists of all time, with more than 120 million records worldwide. Strait’s newest album, Cowboys And Dreamers, drops on Sept. 6.

Strait, a Texas native, was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2006.”

Biden’s wife, 73, smiled and clapped as she took the stage alongside her 81-year-old husband in Raleigh with the message emblazoned all over her black, knee-length dress. “What you saw last night on the debate stage was Joe Biden: a president with integrity and character,” Jill told the crowd.”

  14. “What Rhymes with FBI?”

    Publius, JUN 29, 2024

“Mark Twain has been credited with the quip that “history doesn’t repeat itself, but it often rhymes.”  When it comes to corruption and the FBI, he may have been right.

In the late teens to early twenties, evidence began to trickle out in the media suggesting that an individual within the Executive Branch of the United States Government had profited significantly from his official position.  Over the course of several years, it became clear that money had flowed from an energy company looking to secure favorable business deals to a self-dealing Executive Branch official.  Millions changed hands and the Bureau was called in to investigate.

Yet, the Bureau wasn’t actually there to investigate the corrupt official.  They were there to investigate any person asking questions about the corruption. They were there as part of an effort to protect the high-level official from rightful scrutiny for his unexplainable wealth.  They were there to intimidate those bringing to light misdeeds and corruption.

If this sounds familiar, it should. You just may have the century wrong.

The Teapot Dome Scandal rocked the Republican administration of Warren G. Harding.  The self-dealing and fraud that gave rise to the Teapot Dome Scandal ultimately resulted in the indictment, conviction, and imprisonment of a member of the President’s cabinet.  And the behavior of the Bureau during the scandal resulted in the Attorney General being fired following President Harding’s death.

    J. Edgar Hoover was brought in to reform the Bureau.  By the time he took control of the law enforcement agency that would eventually become the FBI, the agency had been exposed as having been involved in spying on members of Congress in connection with Congressional investigations into the Teapot Dome Scandal.  In the short 20 years of its history, the soon-to-be FBI had devolved from a professional law enforcement agency focused on combatting criminal behavior that crossed state lines to a tool for the party in power to harass and investigate political rivals.

Director Hoover purged the ranks. He saw the purge as a necessary step to change the politicized culture of the Bureau by removing agents and staff hired not on merit, but based on ideology.  His later misdeeds aside, Hoover was right about the connection between personnel and policy and the need for a personnel reset at the Bureau.

Despite the fact President Harding was a Republican, it was a Republican Senator who arranged for the Senate to investigate the Teapot Dome scandal.  And it was that same Republican who had his office ransacked—presumably by the Bureau—in response.  The investigation into the Teapot Dome scandal was shockingly bipartisan.  Yet it wasn’t the last time Republicans would demonstrate a willingness to investigate the apparent misdeeds of the Bureau under a Republican Administration.

50 years after the Teapot Dome scandal came to light, evidence again began to trickle out in the media. Questions again were raised whether the Bureau and the broader intelligence community were abusing their authorities and had been used by the Nixon Administration to spy on, investigate, and harass political opponents.

Once again, Republican members of Congress rose to the occasion, recognizing the risks that the politically-driven abuse of law enforcement and intelligence authorities posed to the Republic.  Republicans participated in the congressional investigations into Watergate and the accompanying abuses of Executive Branch authorities by the Bureau and the intelligence community.  Republicans again put party aside and stepped forward and supported an investigation into a Republican Administration.  The investigations resulted in significant changes to the Bureau, the broader intelligence community, and how Congress conducted oversight of both.

And here we are today.  Another 50 years have passed.  Again, evidence of misdeeds has trickled out in the media. Again, questions have been raised about the activities of the Bureau and whether the FBI’s authorities have been usurped for political purposes.

Yet, history has not actually repeated itself.  Disappointingly, although not surprisingly, there is no Democratic Party support for a bipartisan investigation into the misdeeds of the Bureau under a Democrat Administration.  They are unwilling to investigate one of their own, lacking the same fortitude, honor, and will to put the Republic over party that was demonstrated by Republicans following the Teapot Dome scandal and Watergate.

Unfortunately for our Republic, some in the halls of power appear to have read George Washington’s farewell address as instructions rather than words of caution.  As the second greatest man ever to walk the earth once said, political parties are “likely in the course of time and things, to become potent engines, by which cunning, ambitious, and unprincipled men will be enabled to subvert the power of the people and to usurp for themselves the reins of government.”

We near the 250th anniversary of our nation’s declaration of independence from a nation and king where abuse of authority was the norm.  Despite the passage of time, the words of our founding fathers are more important than ever.

We return to where we started and the quote from one of the greats of American literature: “history doesn’t repeat itself, but it often rhymes.”  We are 50 years removed from the second major scandal involving the politicization of the Bureau, which itself happened 50 years after the first major scandal involving the politicization of the Bureau. Is anything rhyming yet?

Peter Navarro’s Substack account, including all individual article posts, are temporarily being handled and managed independently of him.”
