  1. Morning All

looks to be another chilly, rainy, dreary day. we were going to go for plants for the garden, but not in this sloppy mess.

orioles we twirling around on the hummer feeders expressing their displeasure that the jelly was not out yet…lol.

    1. Only item in your Mother’s Day gift post that I would like are the mop slippers. They would be handy to get up the dust that collects along the baseboards in my hall and then I could just pop them in the washing machine along with the microfiber dust cloths.

    2. Good morning, Pat! Supposedly, a beautiful day is in the cards – could get up to 80 with sunshine and low wind! Need to do more work on the cantaloupe bed today. I had ordered some red Caladium (shade plant) to put underneath the willow tree but I failed to pick up on the fact that they aren’t hardy enough for my zone. But I already had the bulbs and, since it would be a PITA to try to return them, I just planted them – if they come up, fine. If they don’t survive the winter….oh, well! Lesson learned!

Wheezer stopped by for some chow during the night. He apparently enjoys tantalizing and teasing Jake. I had the bathroom window open late yesterday and heard Jake snarling, spitting and hissing while sitting next to the window. When I looked outside, there sat Wheezer, on top of a big trash can and only about a foot below the window….not hissing or growling….just sitting there, watching Jake have a hissy fit.

The orioles are swarming the jelly and nectar feeder so I put out another nectar feeder and refilled the jelly – they don’t care whether the feeder is red or orange – either one works for them! LOL – I need to order another case of jelly for the summer. And I haven’t even seen the squirrel lately! ROFL – gotcha, bitch!

      1. Morning Filly! you’re definitely winning against that squirrel!!
my jelly feeder is an old hummer feeder bottom, so mine’s red.
too funny about Jake and Wheezer…boys will be boys!

        Liked by 1 person

        1. Pretty much any of the reds or oranges will draw their attention. It’s so funny to watch the 2 of them – Jake is easily twice the size of Wheezer, yet I’m betting Wheezer (lean and mean) would kick his ass with those front claws. I think Jake lived the stray life for a couple of years before he was taken to the shelter but that was a long, long time ago and he is fat, fat, fat now!

          Liked by 1 person

            1. He’s gotten so fat now that I’ve had to take the cover off his litter box! One thing I can always smell is cat pee/shit – this time, it was waaaay stronger than usual and I discovered he could no longer fit inside and had peed out the front of it on the small rug, which is now in the trash! SMH – that is something I will NOT tolerate, not going in the box! If he keeps it up, it will be bye-bye, Jake! Permanently!

              1. Hmmmm….that’s a thought – I’ve got a bunch of those bins! I could cut a hole in the side of one…..teaching an old cat new tricks (i.e., top opening) probably wouldn’t work with him!

Dominion failed to disclose to Congress that the motherboard in the election equipment is not only sourced from China, but it is tested in China. From Leaf’s letter here. This is a clear, gross violation of several federal laws. Dominion is toast. See the other letter by Sheriff Leaf in my tweet below –

  4. Good morning, Pat and Filly!

So far, no sign of problems with the Village/rural county internet from the biggest in 165 years ‘solar flare’

However we did have big excitement all across N FL yesterday. A line of strong storms brought several Tornadoes that did big damage in Tallahassee. L

And there were lots of trees down on county roads causing an all day power outage at the Village. There was some power with the help of a big generator and I can operate Sally’s lift, because they hooked Sally into the generator line so we can use the lift to get her onto the toilet during a power outage. The Village dining hall managed to feed everyone, but their computer system was down, so they had to take names to bill us later.

In the meantime, I got a notice from my utility company that my water may be running in my house back in the city – either a toilet running, or I might have a leak between the meter and the house. It was really hard to get through to the utility company due to the storm, but I called and explained about having to be here with Sally and requested they check the meter, but it may not happen for days. I couldn’t even run home to check because of trees down all around the city!

Yesterday, 80K people in the city were without power, 100 power poles were down and several power stations were down and utility trucks and workers from several states were called to my city – so having a utility guy run by my house to check the meter and maybe turn off the water wasn’t going to happen.

Today is supposed to be sunny and mild. High of 85! I’m on Sally duty this weekend and won’t be able to go home and check on things until Monday when Sally’s other caregiver hopefully comes back to work.

    1. Morning GA!
GEES!!!! that’s a lot to deal with at once!
we have rain, rain rain and chilly (40*) temps.
hope things are okay back at your house.
how does the utility know you’re just not washing clothes or running a bath? i wonder why tey think it’s a leak?

      Liked by 2 people

      1. The Utility said water was running ‘for each of the previous 24 hours.’ So, it’s not normal – more like a leak, a faucet left dripping or a toilet that keeps running.

  5. cloning gift cards? goodness the scams are off the charts!

A Southern California man has been arrested in Gilbert in connection to a popular fraudulent gift card scheme.(MCSO)

According to court documents obtained by Arizona’s Family, workers at the Fry’s Food Store off Pecos and Higley roads called Gilbert police just after 1 p.m. on Thursday to report that a man who did not work at the store appeared to have been “restocking gift cards.”

Documents say officers arrived and found the suspect, identified as 44-year-old Chuandao Yu, who immediately handed authorities a box full of gift cards.

After being handcuffed, police searched his vehicle and reportedly found a box filled with gift cards from various stores. In total, authorities say more than 2,000 cards were seized.

Court papers say the surveillance video reviewed by detectives showed Yu putting dozens of cards back onto store shelves and that upon checking, each card had been tampered with.

Arizona’s Family has previously reported on gift card cloning scams, which have been one of the state attorney general’s top priorities.

“This is a huge problem,” Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes told On Your Side earlier this year. “They’re literally taking the cards off the shelf. They’re going and cloning the cards, and putting them back on the shelf, and once someone buys the card, at that moment, it gets drained of the money.”

Court papers say Yu had previously been arrested for fraud in Florida and refused to answer any questions without a lawyer present while in Gilbert PD custody.

Yu now faces 65 felony counts of forgery and is held in the Maricopa County jail on a $50,000 cash-only bond.

  6. this one might have legs…there are many on the left who support Israel…

Representative Cory mills (R-FL) filed one article of impeachment against Joe Biden today, May 10, for stopping a weapons shipment to Israel. Mills argued that the president had withheld military aid from an ally in order to coerce that ally into doing as he wished – essentially what Democrats accused Donald Trump of doing to Ukraine during their first impeachment of the former president.

“As a member of the House of Representatives, it is my constitutional duty to present articles of impeachment against Joe Biden for his most recent abuse of power,” Mills said in a statement. The lawmaker argues in his single article of impeachment that Biden, using the powers of his office, “solicited ‘quid pro quo’ with the foreign government of Israel by withholding precision guided weapons shipments in order to try and extract military policy changes.”

  8. Just The News: “Former President Donald Trump’s youngest son declined to represent the state of Florida at the Republican National Convention this summer, canceling his appearance in Milwaukee just a day after it was announced.

Barron Trump, who was only 10 when his father was first elected to the White House in 2016, was previously expected to join his siblings in the delegation. Trump’s children Eric, Tiffany, and Donald Trump Jr. will still be in the delegation, with Eric Trump serving as the delegation chair, according to the Hill.

“While Barron is honored to have been chosen as a delegate by the Florida Republican Party, he regretfully declines to participate due to prior commitments,” former first lady Melania Trump’s office said in a statement.

The appearance would have marked Barron Trump’s official entrance in the political arena. The former president has touted his youngest son as “a smart one,” who sometimes advises him on politics. Barron Trump is now 18, and will be graduating high school next week.

The national convention will take place from July 15 through July 18.”

  9. IDR much about MD gifts that I got my Mom thru the years. It was always a card and some small thing. HB used to give me a little booklet every year talking about Mom’s – “Dear Mom” books. I have one from Piper, too: “For a very special Grandmother” and have them displayed in my book shelf in my living room. I’ve saved most of the cards I got from HB thru the years as well. I guess those will all go in the trash one of these days unless Piper decides to re-enter my life.

You just have to wonder – who on earth would buy such stupid stuff??? I agree with GA – the only thing worth having are the dusting slippers!

    1. I’ve never had Portuguese sponge cake but I dearly love Portuguese sweet bread! My MIL introduced me to that when I went with my hubby to visit her in RI for the first time. King’s Hawaiian bread is a poor substitute for the real thing!

        1. There is a town near Portsmouth called Tiverton, where there were a lot of Portuguese women working at a silk factory. My MIL worked with them – she was into stitchery and restored the stitching on antique lamp shades and such. She even did some work in Japan at one time. Quite a talented, smart lady who was also an alcoholic….ah, yes – long story there! Anyway…..it was a bit too much for me to make so I was pleased when I found King’s Hawaiian bread, even tho it is a poor imitation of the real thing.

“Illegal Immigrants Stealing Oil From Permian Basin Near Texas Border”

    Excerpts:

EXCLUSIVE — Authorities in West Texas have begun to see illegal immigrants aiding criminal networks in the stealing of truckloads of valuable oil and materials from the nation’s largest oilfields in the Permian Basin.

Rep. Tony Gonzales (R-TX), whose district spans 800 miles of the Texas border, organized federal and local law enforcement in the region Friday to come up with a plan of attack as the largest U.S. oilfield, the Permian Basin, continues to get hit by thieves. The matter is not only a border security matter but an energy security problem

“Truckloads of oil are being stolen from small, independent oil producers. Oilfield instruments, trucks, equipment, and even work boots and clothes have been stolen,” Coday wrote in a message. “These crimes hurt every American and smaller, independent producers especially.”

“Coday said the Mexican drug cartels had already taken over a sizable amount of Mexico’s Oil Industry the past decade.”

    1. And again I’m grateful to be living waaay out in the boonies, where there is almost nothing of value for them to easily steal. We have our regular seasonal transients that come thru town – van-loads of them – during harvest time. They do their work and move on to the next farm – many are old friends and have been coming for years….LEGALLY!

  11. Just The News: “Trump Media Group CEO Devin Nunes requested on Thursday that Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody investigate possible “unlawful manipulation of DJT stock.”

The request comes after Nunes sought an investigation from House finance and oversight leaders on the same matter last month. Nunes raised the concerns after Trump Media & Technology Group (TMTG) began trading on the Nasdaq stock market in late March under the ticker “DJT.” The company’s flagship product is social networking site Truth Social.

Nunes noted in both letters that DJT has appeared Nasdaq’s “Reg SHO threshold list,” continuously since April 2, which he said is “indicative of unlawful trading activity.”

“The anomalies surrounding the trading of DJT suggest the possibility of unlawful collusion among multiple market counterparties including, without limitation: prime brokers, clearing brokers, executing brokers, options market makers, hedge funds, custodian banks, and other fiduciaries,” Nunes said in the letter to Moody. “Such collusion would violate not only federal law, but also Florida law. As such, I respectfully request that you take any actions necessary to determine the nature and extent of any illicit activities—and particularly whether the trading in DJT has complied with the Florida RICO Act.”

The California Republican, a former member of Congress, suggested that Moody talk to certain businesses that may have helped facilitate the potentially unlawful sales, and request testimony and documents from Apex Clearing, StoneX Securities, and TradePro among others.

“In order for free markets to function as intended, Main Street investors and entrepreneurs must have confidence that they are playing on a level playing field when transacting with sophisticated, well-connected insiders,” Nunes said. “We believe market manipulation is modern-day racketeering, and market participants who facilitate trades based on false volume and/or false prices have engaged in fraudulent transactions.”

Nunes added that the fraudulent actions do not only harm Trump Media, but also Florida businesses and retail investors.”

  12. Just The News: “A Virginia school board on Friday approved a proposal to restore the names of Confederate military leaders at two public schools.

The measure reversed the board’s 2020 decision to change the names of schools that had been linked to Stonewall Jackson, Robert E. Lee and Turner Ashby – three men who led the pro-slavery Southern states during the Civil War, according to NBC News.

Mountain View High School will go back to the name Stonewall Jackson High School. Honey Run Elementary School will go back to the name Ashby-Lee Elementary School.

The 2020 decision came amid numerous, similar ones after the death of George Floyd, a black male, by a white police officer, which fueled a national discussion on race. The change Friday in Virginia was made by the school board in the state’s Shenandoah County.

The effort was led by the conservative group Coalition for Better Schools, which petitioned school officials to reinstate the names. “We believe that revisiting this decision is essential to honor our community’s heritage and respect the wishes of the majority,” the coalition wrote, according to a copy posted online.”

  13. National Pulse: “Rudy Giuliani’s Radio Show Cancelled by WABC Owner John Catsimatidis For LUDICROUS Reason”

“WABC radio has suspended Rudolph W. Giuliani, the former New York City Mayor and legal representative for former President Donald J. Trump. John Catsimatidis, the establishment Republican billionaire owner of the station, said that Giuliani had violated his demands not to discuss the theft of the 2020 election on air.

“We’re not going to talk about fallacies of the November 2020 election,” Mr. Catsimatidis told the New York Times. “We warned him once. We warned him twice. And I get a text from him last night, and I get a text from him this morning that he refuses not to talk about it. So, he left me no option. I suspended him.”

Mr. Giuliani was a central figure in Mr. Trump’s endeavor to scrutinize the 2020 election results. He coordinated several legal disputes against Joe Biden’s claimed victory.

His suspension from WABC may potentially exacerbate his existing legal and financial challenges. It also restricts one of his few remaining public platforms. Currently, Mr. Giuliani faces criminal charges in Georgia and Arizona, arising from his role in attempting to overturn the 2020 election results.”

“RFK’s Campaign Appears to Be Deceiving Voters To Gain Ballot Access”

ENTIRE ARTICLE: “Petition workers for the Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. independent presidential campaign appear to be misleading voters in New York City regarding the nature of their signature-gathering efforts. Several New York City residents say they’ve been approached by petitioners who claim to be gathering signatures for getting “independent candidates,” “progressive candidates,” or even “Joe Biden” on the state’s ballot. In actuality, these individuals are working on behalf of Kennedy and not any other candidates.

In one instance, traffic court judge Amy Bernstein was approached by a signature gatherer who had hidden Kennedy‘s name by folding it under the top of the clipboard. He told the judge he was gathering signatures for “independent candidates” to have ballot access. According to Bernstein, the only names visible on the petition were Kennedy‘s slate of electors — whose names would not be recognizable by most individuals.

New York State requires candidates to gather 45,000 signatures for presidential ballot access; the Kennedy campaign says they want to hit at least 100,000 signatures. Submitting signed petitions far above the legal requirement isn’t unusual. However, a large number of signatures are often invalidated, primarily because they are illegible.

Some Kennedy petition gatherers who’ve engaged in deceptive tactics admit they’re being paid by the campaign — or at least a campaign vendor. This suggests a supervisor is instructing them to hide Kennedy‘s name on the petitions, ostensibly to maximize the likelihood that a New York City resident would sign the form.

However, the Kennedy campaign denies having instructed the petitioners to engage in such deceptive tactics. Campaign manager Amaryllis Fox Kennedy — the candidate’s daughter-in-law and former CIA employee — told the New York Times that such deception is “utterly at odds with all of our intensive training and materials.”

A couple of them had actually sprouted already, in spite of the horrible soil!!! Now I need to add the trellis/posts and mulch, as well as the fence around the outside. But that can wait until next week….

the first year i put in zucchini, i got several nice ones. the second year i got tons of flowers, but when they grew to about the size of a small dill pickle, the chipmunks would eat them.

i also got 5 pansies–4 are this gorgeous deep purple color and one (she only has the one) deep red/rust color. the plants are full of flowers and buds.
i normally also get marigolds to plant in the cinder blocks along the outer edge of the garden but none of them looked particularly special. we went to a second greenhouse but she said her marigolds weren’t ready yet. so we’ll get those another time.

BREAKING: A federal judge in Wisconsin has ruled against Democrats & upheld a state law that requires absentee voters to fill out their mail in vote in the presence of an adult witness. The fraudsters want this law gone to making stealing the 2024 election easierDemocrats claim this law makes it harder to vote because some voters won’t find a witness but the judge called bull on that claim”Plaintiffs say that their circumstances make it more difficult for them to find a witness when preparing the absentee ballot. But under this court’s interpretation of Wis. Stat. § 6.87, a witness may be any adult U.S. citizen; plaintiffs are not restricted to witnesses who have personal knowledge of their voting qualifications. And if a voter will be out of the country on election day and will not have ready access to another U.S. citizen, that voter may submit an absentee ballot up to 14 days in advance. Wis. Stat. § 6.86(b). None of the plaintiffs allege that they have been unable to vote in an election for want of a witness.Good on Judge James Peterson for this reasonable decision

It’s important to get these types of rulings before the election.

    1. It pressures the election officials to run a clean election

    2. It creates legal precedent to fuel election challenges in the event of a fraudulent election

Amidst the towering Himalayas, Mount Kailash stands tall, its four faces pointing in the four cardinal directions. In the beliefs of Hinduism, Buddhism, and Jainism, this mountain is seen as a celestial link between Earth and Heaven, a gateway to the divine.

According to legends, the Pandavas and Draupadi embarked on a spiritual journey here, seeking moksha, the ultimate liberation. As they trekked these sacred slopes, one of them is said to have achieved liberation before reaching the summit.

NEW: In recently filed affidavit in classified docs case, a dirty cop from the corrupt Washington FBI field office asks Dem donor/Epstein defender Judge Bruce Reinhart to sign a warrant to get the cell phones of Walt Nauta, one of Trump’s personal aides.

Why? For moving boxes and allegedly giving inconsistent statements to authorities about boxes.

Reinhart of course also signed the Mar-a-Lago search warrant. Everywhere you turn in this case, it gets dirtier and dirtier.Image
    Image
    Image
HOLY SH*T: Reinhart also signed off on a warrant to search NAUTA’S CAR.

Like he’s a drug dealers or child trafficker.

This was all about DOJ’s degenerate midget Jay Bratt attempting to torment Nauta into flipping on Trump.Image
    Image
    And Nauta’s residence.

FBI started targeting Nauta in May 2022. Bratt/DOJ wanted Nauta to flip and become a cooperating witness against Trump.

During a separate witness FBI interview, one FBI agent asked the witness about Nauta’s general state of mind and if he was seeing anyone at the time.Image
    Image
    And Nauta’s email account.

@JudiciaryGOP needs to get the name of the WFO agent responsible for this. Image
@JudiciaryGOP And everything associated with his devices on Apple including messages, photos and his music library.

    F*cking outrageous abuse of power.
    Image
    Image
Dirty cop then went to DC Chief Judge Beryl Howell to get a warrant to get all information stored at Google related to Nauta’s accounts: Image
Howell then signed off on a warrant for Nauta’s location history from his cell phone.

Among Howell’s other abuses are signing a warrant sought by Jack Smith to get Trump’s Twitter data AND an NDO preventing Twitter from notifying Trump as well as piercing atty-client privilege to help Smith get all of Trump lawyer Evan Corcoran’s records.Image
Jack Smith, of course, opposes Nauta’s motion to suppress all “evidence” collected via the search warrants. Smith (Bratt) actually used the word “rendezvous” in his response.
