What Shall We Make Today?

Today’s entry is a snack recipe I never heard of before!  Butterfinger Puppy Chow!

Ingredients

4 cups Rice or Corn Chex Cereal

4 oz baking chocolate, semi-sweet or milk chocolate,

1/2 cup peanut butter

6 BUTTERFINGER® Fun-Size Bars

1 cup BUTTERFINGER® Peanut Butter Cup Minis

1 cup powdered sugar

Instructions

Over a double broiler or in the microwave (in 20-second increments), melt chocolate on low heat, stirring frequently to avoid the chocolate burning or seizing. Once melted, pull off of heat.

In a separate bowl, melt peanut butter in the microwave for 20-30 seconds, or until liquid-y.

Chop the six candy bars into small pieces, set aside.

Mix 2 cups of cereal with chocolate, stirring the cereal gently in order to coat all pieces evenly. Add half of the chopped candy bars to the mix, stirring gently.

Mix 2 cups of cereal with the peanut butter, stirring gently in order to coat all pieces evenly. Add the last of the chopped candy bars, stirring gently.

In 1 large gallon ziplock bag, mix 1/2 cup of powdered sugar and chocolate cereal together. Zip the bag up (with air inside) and shake the cereal until all pieces are coated with powdered sugar (some will be more coated than others, which is fine).

In a second large gallon ziplock bag, mix 1/2 cup of powdered sugar and peanut butter cereal together. Zip the bag up (with air inside) and shake the cereal until all pieces are coated with powdered sugar (some will be more coated than others, which is fine).

Once coated, mix both cereals in a large bowl, adding in the Butterfinger Peanut Butter Cup Minis.

Enjoy!

wow…watched the tornado video Filly sent me…intense!!!!

we have 40* and cloudy here. but our winds have kicked up a lot over night.

    1. Morning, Pat! Sent you an e-mail. Things here were calm for the rest of the night and the sun and clear skies have returned this morning. Wheezer was here overnight and was eating again a few minutes ago. I put all the feeders back out – the house finches found the jelly immediately – and it’s a beautiful day, already 51. More bad weather predicted for tonight but mostly to the east and south. Still watching for the Orioles to show up. My road is absolutely destroyed – the worst case of washboard I’ve ever seen here! Simply awful!!! All of the stores here sell that Puppy Chow but I haven’t seen any with BF minis in it. I go thru an 8 oz bag of those suckers almost daily! LOL

      1. Morning!!
glad wheezer’s okay. we are hearing so many more different bird songs daily…but yeah no orioles yet either.
our dirt road looks like a battlefield with huge potholes…sometime you can’t avoid them because there are so many across the road!

        1. At least you can dodge the potholes but when the entire road is like a washboard, your vehicle just shakes all over no matter how slow or fast you drive! It was less than week ago that they did all that work and now it looks like nothing was done at all!!!

          1. I wrote to the township supervisors about our road in December–it was like a warzone with huge potholes…they did nothing. add the heavy rains we’ve been having–the road is close to impassable. gotta send another email.

            1. Good luck! I’m not even going to try to contact the City here about our road – wouldn’t do a bit of good and I’ve bitched about this issue since the first year I moved here! If you’re not from one of the long-term families in this county, your opinion doesn’t mean shit!

MOST IMPORTANT THING YOU MISSED TODAY: In case you missed this today, Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas asked perhaps the best question of the day that shows the hypocrisy of the left in prosecuting former President Donald Trump. During oral arguments on presidential immunity, Justice Thomas showed with a question that although absolute immunity is not clearly stated in the US Constitution for the US President, all of them have enjoyed absolute immunity, and none has been prosecuted for clear crimes they committed at home or abroad. “In not so distant past, the presidents or certain presidents have engaged in various activities, coups or Operation Mongoose when I was a teenager, and yet there were no prosecutions. Why?” the 75-year-old African American, who is not considered black by the left because he’s a conservative, asked? “If what you’re saying is right, it would seem that that would have been ripe for criminal prosecution of someone,” he told the Justice Department lawyer Mr. Michael Dreeben. The government lawyer then responded, shockingly and outrageously, “So, Justice Thomas, I think this is a central question. The reason why there have been not been prior criminal prosecutions is that there were no crimes.” AND THERE YOU HAVE IT. Nothing is as outrageous and false as that statement. During the same hearing, Justice Samuel Alito wondered why Trump is the only former President charged, and asked, “What about President Franklin D. Roosevelt’s decision to intern Japanese-Americans during World War II, couldn’t that have been charged?” The same DOJ lawyer, Michael Dreeben, who claimed there were no crimes committed by former Presidents, then responded, “Today, yes.” MY TAKE: Today’s heading exposed one fundamental thing about the powers of a US President: they are almost absolute while in power, even though the Constitution has not explicitly granted absolute powers to the President. The proof is none has been prosecuted for coups, for bombing civilians to death all around the world, for toppling government, for lying, for their words or speech, none, until now, with Trump.

    Columbia is a money machine…….

Columbia is not one simple thing – an educational institution, or an alumni social network. It is a $5.8 billion-revenue organization consisting of at least seven main entities.

    • A medical-industrial complex.
    • And externally funded research complex.
    • Very large professional schools – business, law etc.
    • Columbia College for undergraduates
    • A real estate empire – the original core of Columbia’s endowment
    • The fund management organization that manages the financial assets of the endowment.
    • A development arm that raises money from alumni

notes about the recent scotus hearing wrt presidential immunity.

for a fairly solid read of many of the issues, see Jonathon Turley’s article:

    https://jonathanturley.org/2024/04/26/free-fall-or-controlled-descent-justices-signal-a-desire-to-avoid-both-cliffs-on-presidential-immunity/

my own views and opinions. In order of magnitude/significance

    1. the meese brief has not yet been discussed. But this is a very important factor wrt to standing and jurisdiction. Namely, the jack Smith is NOT a Congressional confirmed US Attorney. The Meese brief explains that a “minor” attorney has not power, no authority to bring any grand jury nor any indictment against a President. This is a constitutional legal issue and sooner than later this factor will come into this case. Likely, it has not been advanced by Team Trump until such time that the Presidential Immunity case has been settled. Which at this time, appears not possible to happen until after the next election.. But it is important to understand the Meese Brief. You are encouraged to read the cert here: https://www.supremecourt.gov/DocketPDF/23/23-939/303456/20240319162315185_Meese%20et%20al%20Amici%20Brief-Trump%20v%20US.pdf
    2. Settling aside the untenable factor of jack Smith and his lack of standing and authority, we now consider some of the basic issues that scotus has discussed and what these mean and what to expect next.

    a. SCOTUS seems to be interested in sending the case back to the lower courts so that a ruling at the lower courts can be made to address what exactly IS and exactly what is NOT official power, versus personal power. Noting: this relates solely to criminal allegations…civil liability was already ruled 50 years ago with Nixon. However, the complexity of the DOJ arguments seek to use civil allegations as evidence to promote criminal violations. So this is going to be tested and likely will go back to scotus. Example: if President Trump spoke at a personal dinner party and discussed some details of his official business as President, DOJ/Jack Smith claims this can be used and shared with grand jury and jurors as a form of evidence to climb over the wall of what is personal versus official. The delimna is obvious. I call it schrodingers folly. At what point CAN a president not be the president? in his sleep? while golfing? or based upon some other circumstance? When a President Speaks, how does one determine if he speaks in an official capacity..or in a personal way? Is the cat dead or alive? just by looking at it, then you will know? (simplified, but a good analogy…a better analogy?> Now look away and close the box…is the dead cat, now alive? If you blink, did you miss the death and recover from death? see the problem. it’s both a timing issue, but it’s also a fundamental problem of subjectivity. What appears to YOU to be alive, may very well be a corpse to another. A President may make a joke for instance….But this joke is made to remark about international relations with a foreign nation state. is it personal rhetoric, or a fine tuned or even a rough everture that fits into a larger political official position by the president? See the problem? who decides? Isn’t it true, that the meaning and intent in this situation is determined by the office of the president of the United states? can a president MUSE over an issue and speak of it aloud in front of a large audience? can he also do this in private. Of course, is the answer. So again, how can DOJ OR EVEN COURTS make a determination about intention…and Even IF this is personal or official>? Can it be NOT BE BOTH. This leads me to my next commentary

    b. THE PEOPLE VOTED FOR AND ELECTED DONALD TRUMP AS THEIR PRESIDENT. It was the PERSON who they elected to be the official leader of this country. This is the process we have all enjoyed and it is well understood. President Trump does not STOP being Donald Trump when he takes the oath of office. It is illogical and irrational to expect this. We do not elect robots. We are ALL incomplete and imperfect. We are NOT GOD! To expect a President (any) to have their words and actions examined and constantly legally managed by outsiders who have other political agendas is to undermine the entire premise of why immunity is so important. We WANT our president to be real and truthful, even if it means we hear and experience unpleasant things. This is ultimately how this society can operate. it’s not perfect. it IS messy. We are not expecting to be entertained and kept away from important discussions and significant decisions. We want our presidents to take risks, just as we ourselves take risks each and every single day…we do so, because that is what courage is really about…to make hard decisions, we take risks, knowing there will be some consequences in those actions. We don’t want stooges and pool noodles as presidents. We want strong SMART and focused risk takers WITH PROVEN RECORDS OF SUCCESS. that is to me the embodiment of what electing a president is all about. Daring to allege wrongdoing for what is personal versus what is official business is an attempt to do reduce the office of the presidency to nothing more than a pure ceremonial stooge who would then follow to the letter some ridiculous line of guidance about what they can and cannot say and do! That is completely and utterly polar opposite of what powers we expect our presidents to lean upon and depend upon when they make weighty decisions…or even when making a joke…or when insulting and accusing some congressional member, a bureaucrat, a political opponent, or a corrupt judge. There is NO line of division between what is personal and official. The very basis of the office of the presidency comes with it the inevitable and unstoppable aspect of THE PERSON. We vote for a PERSON…not a robot who follows orders made by rule makers who want to control how the office operates. this leads me to my next commentary

    c. the process that solves the issue of allegations of crimes, liability and indictments already exists in two forms:

    1) the ability of THE PEOPLE to choose to vote or NOT TO VOTE for a candidate.
    2) the power of Congress to impeach based on high crimes and misdemeanors.

on those two forms, THE PEOPLE have chosen TWICE (I refuse to accept election fraud 2020!), and Congress has FAILED TWICE to impeach President Trump.

this issue is cold and dead in my book. One cannot solve the personal versus official business quandry and SCOTUS must not allow the lower courts or the DOJ or any other court and prosecutor lay claim to new law that does not exist. ?

In fact, SCOTUS should simply make it very clear that presidential immunity is absolute. This IS the only way to preserve the office of the presidency AS IT HAS OPERATED since Washington. Changes to what will and will not be allowed for presidential conduct would transfer the powers of the presidency to literally the whims of radicalized prosecutors, sworn political enemies and the likes of Soros and chicoms!

If SCOTUS makes a ruling that attempts to place boundaries on a president, I can say without hesitation that we will see the stage 4 transfer of power Accelerate much faster and then develop, set the stage for stage 5 revolution.

ready or not, slow or fast…it is going to happen.

Satan is not taking a break

    God Bless America

“ANOTHER Country Boots Out U.S. Forces, As Biden NatSec Plan Crumbles In Real Time”

ENTIRE ARTICLE: “U.S. forces are being pushed out of yet another African nation in the Sahel region, with some of its already small force of around 100 troops in Chad to be reduced. Like many other African states, Chad has turned away from the U.S. and towards Russia for security assistance.

The Biden regime is attempting to downplay the withdrawal. “USAFRICOM (United States Africa Command) is currently planning to reposition some U.S. military forces from Chad, a portion of which were already scheduled to depart,” said Pentagon press secretary Major General Pat Ryder.

Maj. Gen. Ryder has suggested this is a “temporary step.” However, Chad is strongly signaling its hostility to the U.S. presence. Earlier this month, Air Force Chief of Staff Idriss Amine Ahmed told the U.S. attache U.S. forces should cease their activities on Adji Kossei Air Base. He argues they have failed to justify their presence.

    ANOTHER DOMINO.

These developments in Chad follow confirmation the U.S. will be forced out of Niger. A much larger force of over a thousand troops and recently finished two new drone bases are currently hosted there.

Like neighboring Mali and Burkina Faso, Niger has been taken over by a military junta. They are essential to U.S. interests in the Sahel, which spans the southern Sahara from the Atlantic to the Red Sea. However, all have now realigned with Russia.

The steady stream of geopolitical losses in Africa is a major embarrassment to Joe Biden and his national security team. The U.S. has long sought hegemony in the Sahel. It was expected that diplomatic and economic sanctions against Russia following the 2022 invasion of Ukraine would weaken Moscow’s regional influence. Instead, it has grown, while that of the U.S. and its regional allies, particularly France, has waned.

Niger’s realignment also poses significant challenges to Europe, facilitating an increase in illegal immigration from sub-Saharan Africa.”

NYT: ‘U.S. Constitution Needs Fundamental Change… to Stop Trump.’

ENTIRE ARTICLE: “During the Supreme Court arguments on the Trump immunity case on Thursday, DEI justice Ketanji Brown Jackson signaled her dismay with the U.S. Constitution, seemingly angered by the fact that it doesn’t allow for the random political prosecutions of political figure, as if America were Burkina Faso. Like clockwork, the New York Times has followed suit, with a new op-ed published early Friday morning entitled: The Constitution Won’t Save Us From Trump.

The article’s author, Aziz Rana, explains in paragraph three: “The Constitution isn’t going to save us from Donald Trump. If anything, turning the page on the man — and on the politics he has fostered — will require fundamentally changing it.”

Rana, a Council of Foreign Relations member and Non-Resident Fellow at the Iran-linked Quincy Institute for Responsible Statecraft, elaborates: “Rallying around the Constitution means embracing the very text that causes these pathologies. Its rules strengthen the hand of those indifferent or even opposed to the principle of one person, one vote. After all, those rules smooth the path for a Trumpian right to gain power without winning over a majority. And they throw up numerous roadblocks to accountability — even when presidents attempt to subvert elections… this requires extensive changes to our legal and political systems, including to the Constitution itself.”

He says the Supreme Court has “extreme power” and concludes, “so long as liberals refuse to confront what needs to be done to fix the Constitution, [Trump’s] supporters and groups like the Convention of States will control that debate.”

Oh, and by the way, Rana is a Professor and Provost’s Distinguished Fellow at Boston College Law School, which he joined having taught at Cornell after graduating from Harvard. These are the sort of third-world, partisan, constitutional vandals America’s higher-education institutions are churning out. And while Trump is their current target, Rana’s suggestion that “These efforts will persist even if Mr. Trump is no longer on the political stage” is a reminder of Trump’s own mantra: “They’re not after me, they’re after you. I’m just in the way.”

“I want to start by wishing my wife Melania a very happy birthday,” Trump said in a video posted to TRUTH Social. “It would be nice to be with her but I’m at a courthouse for a rigged trial.”

The former president is currently in New York facing charges brought forth by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg over a 2016 payment Trump’s former attorney, Michael Cohen, made to Stormy Daniels. Trump has pleaded not guilty to the 34 counts.

The 45th president wrote in a separate TRUTH Social post opined that the pervasive security presence outside the courthouse would prevent his supporters from gathering at the building.

“I’m at the heavily guarded Courthouse,” Trump wrote. “Security is that of Fort Knox, all so that MAGA will not be able to attend this trial, presided over by a highly conflicted pawn of the Democrat Party. It is a sight to behold!”

NEW YORK, NY — Riot police armed with sticks of deodorant charged at Pro-Hamas demonstrators this week, causing protestors to flee in terror.

“Look at ’em go!” Chief of Police David Anders commented. “I’ve never seen anything like it. Just waving a stick of deodorant around these dirty hippy beatnik protestors causes them to recoil in horror. Most fun I’ve had since the 1960s.”

Many protestors told reporters they hadn’t used deodorant in years and definitely didn’t plan to now. “I refuse to wash my bits and pits until the apartheid ruling power of Israel relinquishes their stronghold on the people of Palestine,” Protestor Andrew Gilligan said. “From the river to the sea, my armpits will stay stinky!”

Riot police could be seen lunging at protestors with sticks of both men’s and women’s deodorant. Protestors scattered quickly at the sight of grooming supplies, with some activists accusing police of using unnecessarily harsh crowd-dispersal methods.

As of publishing time, police announced they are considering bringing in more powerful deterrents, like giant Italian deli sandwiches to scare off all the vegans and combs and brushes to chase down the dreadlock bros with.

WELL WELL WELL I am pretty sure we never heard this part of the “classified documents/box” story! More from unredacted motions in FLA–this is from an unsealed transcript of witness interview. From my experience in shipping classified materials, it also needs to be noted that it is the responsibility of the entity doing the shipping (i.e. in this case the GSA) to ensure all handling and shipping requirements were and can be met before shipping the materials … just sayin’.

This places more emphasis on the fact the GSA, National Archives, FBI and Secret Service conspired to literally CREATE the faux crime claimed in the FLA Documents Case being pursued by Jack Smith. The GSA had to verify before hand that ALL handling requirements could be met at the end before shipping those boxes. So, the President Trump met the requirements until the Secret Service pulled the clearances at the direction of somebody on the JoeBama White House Staff. Follow the process trail ….

This also emphasizes why the DoJ fought so hard to ensure Judge Cannon’s appointment of special master to review the classification DID NOT OCCUR, at the start of the FLA Documents Case. One of the primary jobs of the Special Master would be to FOLLOW THE PROCESS Trail and report the findings.

Planting Another Bomb Like in 2017?The key to discerning, comprehending and interceding on this planned devastation is reasonably the close examination of any Biden>Trump presidential transition through the lens framed in Jan ’17”

    POLITICAL MOONSHINE, APR 27, 2024

EXCERPT: “On Friday, ABC reported that the Biden Administration was beginning the initial planning stages of a January 2025 presidential transition to Donald J. Trump. The analysis positions and brands Trump an “unavoidable circumstance” with which the Intelligence Community must deal. The IC’s operational lawfare against Trump and led by his political opposition comprised of the Obama, Biden, DNC cartel has not only been ineffective aside from thoroughly evidencing how far into the gutter this country has slid, but it has had the exact opposite effect resulting in meteoric and historic national support for the populist former President.

The deck on the article reads as follows: “President Joe Biden’s administration has formally begun planning for a potential presidential transition, aiming to ensure continuity of government no matter the outcome of November’s general election.”

Translated, “potential presidential transition” means contingency plan in the case the actual vote return eclipses the designs and mechanisms to steal 2024.

The IC faces a much taller and steeper hill in stealing 2024 than it did four years ago. This is especially so given that now, EVERYONE with a modicum of common sense and regardless of party affiliation knows that 2020 was stolen; even if they refuse to admit it. For those refusing to admit it, I suppose it’s much easier to feed the lie to preserve the ego than to admit being wrong.

“Continuity of government no matter the outcome” translates to guaranteeing institutional preservation regardless of Trump the “unavoidable circumstance” being avoidable or not.

This means that the IC will carry on with business as usual where two distinct possibilities exist: 1-DJT enters the Executive in January 2025 with a 3-month window for assassination or something to derail the beginning of his second term, like World War III, another “pandemic” or similar -OR- 2-the election is stolen for Michelle Obama or perhaps Gavin Newsom.

    GO DEEPER…..”
