What Shall We Make Today?

Today’s offering is an easy (!) Chicken Noodle Soup. I found this recipe at Land o Lakes website when I was looking for low-sodium alternates. I haven’t tried this one yet, but it seemed simple enough.

Ingredients

2 cups cubed cooked chicken

3 (14.5-ounce) cans low sodium chicken broth

3 medium (1 1/2 cups) carrots, sliced

2 ribs (1 cup) celery, sliced

1 small (1/2 cup) onion, chopped

2 cups uncooked dried wide egg noodles

2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

Salt

Pepper

Directions

STEP 1

Combine all ingredients except egg noodles, parsley, salt and pepper in 4-quart saucepan. Cook over high heat, stirring occasionally, 5-8 minutes or until mixture just comes to a boil. Reduce heat to medium. Cook, stirring occasionally, 10-15 minutes or until carrots are tender.

STEP 2

Cook noodles according to package directions; drain. Stir hot cooked noodles into hot soup mixture. Sprinkle with parsley. Season to taste with salt and pepper.

ENJOY!

  1. “Abe Lincoln Pardoned Joe Biden’s Great Great Grandpa After He Stabbed a Civil War Soldier and Was Banished to ‘America’s Siberia’”

ENTIRE ARTICLE @ NationalPulse: The Biden family’s criminality isn’t confined to modernity, as the Washington Post has revealed today, explaining that “[o]n the evening of March 21, 1864, the quiet of a small corner of the Army of the Potomac’s sprawling winter camp along the Rappahannock River near Beverly Ford, Va., was disturbed when a fight broke out in one of the mess tents between Union Army civilian employees Moses J. Robinette and John J. Alexander.”

Robinette is President Joe Biden’s great, great grandfather, who is said to have drunkenly shanked Alexander, a fellow army officer, with a pen-knife after hearing him gossip to a female cook.

“Tempers flared, expletives followed, and Robinette drew his pocketknife. A brief scuffle left Alexander bleeding from several cuts before camp watchmen arrived to arrest Robinette,” notes the Post. Robinette was tried and found guilty, ultimately banished to the “American Siberia” of Fort Jefferson on the Dry Tortugas Islands near Key West, Florida.

Biden’s great, great grandfather showed no remorse, arguing, “[W]hatever I have done was done in self defence, that I had no malice towards Mr. Alexander before or since. He grabbed me and possibly might have injured me seriously had I not resorted to the means that I did.”

After that, in true Biden family style, he reached out to lawmakers and political operatives to receive a presidential pardon, which then-President Abraham Lincoln granted on September 1, 1864.”

“African Migrant Nurses in UK Health Service Exposed as Unqualified Fraudsters” — National Pulse

ENTIRE ARTICLE: “More than 700 nurses and midwives recruited from Nigeria by Britain’s socialized health service are under investigation for having proxies earn their qualifications for them at an African test center.

Describing the operation as “industrial-scale fraud,” former Royal College of Nursing (RCN) chief executive Peter Carter said it was “very worrying” to know there are schemes “enabling nurses to bypass these tests, or if they are using surrogates to do exams for them because the implication is that we end up in the UK with nurses who aren’t competent.”

Of the 717 nurses involved, 48 already work for the National Health Service (NHS) and face individual hearings before the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC). However, the NMC is powerless to suspend any of them from their register before their hearings begin in March.

Another 669 nurses who had not yet been admitted to the register have been blocked from doing so, but most have already migrated to Britain, many with families in tow.

Rather than securing the interests of British patients and healthcare workers, trade unions appear to be taking the side of the Nigerian fraudsters, claiming they were “badly advised” and should not be deported. The GMB Union even praised the Nigerians for being “willing to uproot their lives and settle here to work in a health and social care service that is suffering a crisis in staff recruitment” — despite the fact their lack of qualifications could put patients’ lives at risk.

Around 27 percent of NHS nurses are migrants, as are 35 percent of doctors. Migrants also account for a grossly disproportionate 72 percent of doctors who are struck off the medical register for wrongdoing.”

      1. Not just the UK, either. My a-Mom’s asshole doctor at the hospital in Lincoln in 2012 was Nigerian, talking in her room, in front of her, as if she wasn’t even there and was just a piece of meat. “She can’t hear us!” I insisted we leave the room to discuss her prognosis/turning off her life support instead of at the foot of her bed. He scoffed and got all huffy, insisting we go all the way to the end of the hallway to a conference room when he could have just told us quietly in the hallway outside her room.

              1. They now have translation apps on their phones. Many of the workers at WM are like that – they can’t speak English, just basically grunt and wave their hand directing you to an open register. They ALL walk around with phones in their hands. I always ignore them!

    1. EXCERPT @ NationalReview: “Shark Tank star Kevin O’Leary said Monday he will no longer invest in New York in response to a $355 million judgment issued against former president Donald Trump in a state court last week.

New York judge Arthur Engoron ordered Trump to pay the massive sum for conspiring, the court ruled, to alter his net worth to receive tax and insurance benefits. The order also prevents Trump from doing business in New York for three years. The decision was the conclusion of a months-long civil fraud trial that New York attorney general Letitia James brought against the former president, the Trump organization, and his executives.

During an appearance on Fox Business, O’Leary said he was “shocked” by the ruling. “This award, I mean, just leaving the whole Trump thing out of it and seeing what occurred here. . . . And I’m no different than any other investor, I’m shocked at this. I can’t even understand or fathom the decision at all. There’s no rationale for it.”

“It was already on the top of the list of being a loser state, I would never invest in New York now,” he added. “And I’m not the only person saying that.”

He suggested that businesses will flee New York to go to more business-friendly states such as Texas and Florida, and he brushed off New York Governor Kathy Hochul’s attempt to reassure business owners after the landmark ruling….”

  5. “Resurgent al-Qaida training camps latest black eye from Biden Afghanistan withdrawal — UN report claims al-Qaida now has eight training camps in Taliban-controlled country.”

    By John Solomon

    Published: February 20, 2024 12:48am

EXCERPT: “Two reports released just days apart are providing stark new evidence of the lasting consequences of President Joe Biden’s bungled withdrawal from Afghanistan and his administration’s dealings with the Taliban ever since.

The United Nations Analytical Support and Sanctions Monitoring Team reported late last month that the terrorist group al-Qaida, though weakened from its heyday in the early 2000s, has reconstituted as many as eight training camps and five religious training schools known as madrassas on Afghan soil under the Taliban’s rule while also increasing its propaganda operations and recruitment.

“The relationship between the Taliban and Al-Qaida remains close, and the latter maintains a holding pattern in Afghanistan under Taliban patronage,” the report stated bluntly. “Regional States assess that the presence of Al-Qaida senior figures in the country has not changed and that the group continues to pose a threat in the region, and potentially beyond.”

You can read the full report here. S_2024_92-EN.pdf

While the UN report blamed the Taliban for its hosting of al-Qaida, the Biden administration continued to send massive humanitarian dollars to the Afghan regime, in many cases through the UN and global charities, according to a separate report from an American watchdog.

John Sopko, the U.S. Special Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction, reported a few days after the UN report was issued that the United States accounted for all but $300 million of the $2.9 billion in humanitarian aid sent to the Taliban since the withdrawal of American troops in August 2021. Most of it, he noted, came in cash.

“The U.S. is the largest international donor, having provided about $2.6 billion in funding for the UN, other PIOs, and NGOs operating in Afghanistan since August 2021,” the report noted. “More than $1.7 billion of that funding came from State and the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) to support humanitarian activities.”….

  7. I was looking for the link to the article from Jill’s ex and ran across this blast from the past! LOL

I took my dad to the mall once to get him new shoes (he is 66). We decided to grab a bite at the food court. I noticed he was watching a teenager sitting next to him… the teenager had spiked hair in all different colors — blue, red, green and orange.

My dad kept staring at her. The teenager would keep looking and my dad would be staring every time. When the teenager had had enough, she sarcastically asked, “Whats the matter old man, never done anything wild in your life?”

Knowing my dad, I quickly swallowed my food so I wouldn’t choke on his response — I knew he would have a good one.

In classic style he responded without batting an eyelid: “Got stoned once and fucked a parrot. Just wondering if you were my daughter.”

  8. “Evidence Shows Biological ID System Has Already Been Deployed—Fluorescent glow in the faces of the vaxxed under UV light”
    GREG REESE
    FEB 20, 2024
    Video/Transcript

EXCERPT: “Emotionally, it is easy to dismiss the work of Doctor Ana Maria Mihalcea for it is very disturbing. But her work is shown through scientific testing and backed up by government and NGO documentation. And the evidence shows that humanity has already been infected with cutting edge surveillance nanotechnology. This is a follow up to my last report on Doctor Mihalcea’s Hydrogel research.

New research shows that those who received the COVID shots emit a fluorescent orange glow in their faces that is visible under a UV light of 365 nano-meters. And those who have been exposed to shedding emit this glow around their nose.

After his wife was coerced into getting the COVID shot, PhD Justin Coy began his own research. He found that the more shots a person received, the more they glowed under UV light. The glow can be seen initially around the nose, and over time spreads throughout the entire face and into the neck.

After a hot shower, filaments are expelled through the skin of the vaxxed. And these filaments also emit a glow under UV light. These filaments not only glow, but they have been shown to move on their own in spastic movements. And they are also attracted to people. In videos they can be seen trying to latch on to a finger. And when a person who has received the shot has dry skin, these expelled filaments will become airborne. This could explain how shedding occurs from the vaxxed to the unvaxxed. The Pfizer trial documents stated that an unvaxxed individual in close proximity to someone who’s been vaxxed can be infected by inhalation and skin contact.

In 2008 a biological nanotechnology pesticide designed to kill the Brown Moth in the state of California was deployed and appears to have included the same sort of fluorescent invisible micro dye that we see in the scientific research. Doctor Hildegarde Staninger tested individuals exposed to this nano-tech pesticide and found that a glow could be detected in their eyes under UV light. Doctor Staninger called this the Eye of Horus effect due to it’s similar appearance. And claimed it was due to the use of fluorescent thiocyanate in the pesticide. Which according to the literature, would have been used to track the effectiveness of the dispersal….”

  9. “Terrified Mugger Flees As NYPD Dance Squad Arrives”
    U.S. · Feb 19, 2024 · BabylonBee.com

NEW YORK, NY — An alleged mugger is still believed to be at large in the city today after fleeing the scene of the crime as soon as the New York Police Department Dance Squad arrived.

The incident, which authorities believe to have occurred early this afternoon near Midtown Manhattan, was still in progress when witnesses say the perpetrator saw the NYPD Dance Squad approaching, causing the aggressor to break off his attack and run away in terror.

“He took off once he saw the dancers got here,” one eyewitness said. “It was obvious that he wanted no part of them. Honestly, who can blame him? If I saw that group rolling up toward me, I’d want to get as far away from them as I could. I’ve never seen such a strong crime deterrent.”

As word of the NYPD Dance Squad has continued to spread throughout the city’s underworld, officials reported a noticeable decrease in criminal activity. “It’s had a surprising effect on crime,” said an NYPD source. “The mere mention of the dance squad sends criminals scrambling away in horror. We told the inmates at one of our local detention centers that we’d bring the dancers in if they didn’t shape up, and we’ve never seen such model behavior.”

As investigators continued to search for the mugger, the department spokesman expressed doubt that he would ever be found. “He’s likely out of state by now,” he said. “Seeing those dancers is enough to scare anyone straight.”

At publishing time, NYPD officials were reportedly considering deterring further crime by threatening to have the dance squad sit on all offenders and crush them.”

Kind of a PITA to have to do it every year but at least they send me the pre-printed form already filled out. All I have to do is sign and take it in with my SS statement so they can verify that I still qualify.

  11. “London mayor overlooks late Queen Elizabeth II to approve transgender sex workers sculpture—Former London mayors had previously said the Fourth Plinth location in Trafalgar Square was reserved for Queen Elizabeth II upon her death”

REMIX News, by Thomas Brooke, February 20, 2024

ENTIRE ARTICLE: “London’s left-wing mayor Sadiq Khan has resisted calls to commission a statue commemorating the late Queen Elizabeth II in favor of approving £1 million in funding to erect a sculpture depicting the faces of hundreds of transgender sex workers on the Fourth Plinth in Trafalgar Square.

The sculpture, created by Mexican artist Teresa Margolles and named Improntas, features plaster casts of 850 transgender people, many of whom were prostitutes, and was designed to draw attention to the marginalization of the trans community.

The casts are placed on top of one another to create a cuboid, and the work is inspired by the ancient inhabitants of the Mesoamerican region who used to display the heads of ritual sacrifices and enemies in skull racks.

The sculpture will not just include casts of the transgender people to whom it is dedicated, but will also be “infused with their hair and skin cells” and is designed to deteriorate as it is exposed to the elements, creating an “anti-monument.”

A YouGov survey conducted back in 2021 when the artwork was first shortlisted revealed its unpopularity among Londoners. Just 23 percent of respondents said they liked the piece, while nearly twice as many (42 percent) said they disliked it.

The artwork was the second least popular among the six sculptures shortlisted, beaten in its dislike only by Nicole Eisenman’s “The Jewellery Tree,” a bizarre monument with a plastic coffee lid, some disused Scotch tape, and a crushed beer can hanging from its branches.

Margolles’ work is expected to go on display in September. Sculptures on the Fourth Plinth in Trafalgar Square are currently installed on a rotating basis and remain on display for two years after being selected by the Fourth Plinth Commissioning Group.

Former Labour mayor of London, Ken Livingstone, said back in 2013 that it was the “understanding that the Fourth Plinth is being reserved for Queen Elizabeth II” upon her death, which came to pass in September 2022.

The Queen Elizabeth Memorial Committee has been established to ensure Britain’s longest-reigning monarch is commemorated appropriately, and the Fourth Plinth has been earmarked as a potential location for a statue in memory of her. However, the plinth will not be free until 2030 at the earliest, with other selected winning artworks already reserved for the years ahead.

Despite overlooking the former monarch this time around, a spokesperson for the London mayor insisted that Sadiq Khan remains dedicated to honoring Queen Elizabeth. “The mayor wants to ensure we have a fitting memorial to our longest-serving monarch,” they said. “He supports the creation of the Queen Elizabeth Memorial Committee, which is being supported by the Royal Household and chaired by the former private secretary to Queen Elizabeth II.

“The mayor stands ready to support the recommendations of the committee, whatever they are,” they added.”
