This clever gift is perfect for Valentine’s Day—chocolate and champagne or wine if you prefer—a housewarming gift or even a baby shower gift, and is super simple to make!

The basic components are:
orange or gold tissue paper
about 48 ferrero rocher candies
greenery for the top (or you can use green tissue paper)
raffia for the tie
glue gun
bottle of champagne or wine
You begin by cutting the tissue paper into squares-large enough to envelope the ferrero rocher candies. Then you glue the candies in the center of the squares and then glue those around the bottle in rows beginning at the bottom and working up. When you are nearing the top, you glue the greenery (or the green tissue paper cut into leaves) to the neck of the bottle, low enough that the last row of candies will cover the edges. Then glue on the final row of candies and tie the raffia in a bow.
EASY PEASY!
Alternate Method
I have seen this done using mini cupcake papers instead of tissue paper and covering the bottle itself with tissue paper for easier removal of the candies.

I didn’t include the source for this craft because i have seen many varieties and many websites with the same idea. Some websites use plastic or silk greenery and some sites even used gold wrapped chocolate chunks.
Morning All!
temps remained steady overnight at 40* which is good because our heat pump is malfunctioning. it wouldn’t stop running even when it was off as of the thermostat. hubby checked the inside unit and discovered it was hot and still running and so we shut off the circuit breakers to the whole inside/outside shebang. using the wood stove exclusively till the repair crew can get here sometime Monday.

Remember how China ran around the world cornering the market on rare earth metals? 😁
‘Beyond our wildest dreams’: 2.34 BILLION metric tons of rare earth minerals discovered in Wyoming that could make US ‘world leader’
The US could soon surpass China as the world leader in rare earth minerals after more than 2.34 billion metric tons were discovered in Wyoming.
American Rare Earths Inc announced that the reserves near Wheatland dramatically surpass the Asian nation’s 44 million metric tons, saying it ‘exceeded our wildest dreams’ after drilling only about 25 percent of the property.
The company has a stake in 367 mining claims across 6,320 acres of land in the Halleck Creek Project, along with four Wyoming mineral leases on 1,844 acres on the same project now called Cowboy State Mine.
The types of minerals at the site are used in smartphones, hybrid car motors and military technologies – among others.
The math works out to over FIFTY times the reserves of the Chinese, though the article doesn’t reference how much China controls outside of its own borders, such as Bolivia, but this is a definitely a win for America.

ENTIRE ARTICLE @ Just The News: “The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Office of Inspector General (OIG) recently conducted an audit on how well the department vets its contractor employees and found high rates of noncompliance.
The report released on Thursday stated that many of the employees under these contracts did not have a fingerprint check, which is required, or have a formal background check conducted.
“The team found that 94 percent of contract files reviewed did not include position designations establishing the investigative requirements for the contract,” the report states. “In addition, 90 percent did not include language to communicate vetting requirements to the contractor.”
According to the OIG, it is crucial that contractor employees must be properly vetted or else they put the health and well-being of veterans at risk.
The VA has come under scrutiny over the past few years for security issues and incompetence. Last year, the nominee for deputy secretary of the VA was accused by a whistleblower of being involved in a data breach.
The report states that at least 79% of contractor employees did not have a proper background investigation.
It also noted that the high rate of vetting noncompliance came from different departments, such as the Office of Information and Technology and the Office of Human Resources and Administration/Operations having “outdated and conflicting or inaccurate policies on the subject.” The OIG made recommendations to fix these issues, including the different offices collaborating with each other and updating the policies.
“The IOG also recommended the executive director of the Office of Acquisition and Logistics update and publish the VA Acquisition Regulation and VA Acquisition Manual to direct acquisition professionals to correct policies for vetting contractor employees,” the report adds.
The St. Cloud VA Medical Center in Minnesota was specifically recommended for compliance checks after it was discovered that 52% of contractor employees had criminal records. None of them went through the vetting process.
“The criminal records included arrests and convictions ranging from petty misdemeanors to felonies such as disorderly conduct, domestic abuse, physical and sexual assault, financial card fraud, and terroristic threats,” the report shows.”

“4D Chess: Trump Forces Judge To Grant Full Immunity After He Speaks Gibberish And Shakes Hands With The Air”
CELEBS · Feb 9, 2024 · BabylonBee.com
WASHINGTON, D.C. — Former President Donald Trump successfully reversed a previous decision by a panel of three DC circuit judges — who rejected his claims of immunity for alleged crimes committed during his presidency — by speaking gibberish and shaking hands with invisible people.
“We can’t prosecute him now,” said one judge who couldn’t stop thinking of Trump as an adorable old man. “Look at him; he’s just a kind old grandpa. Old people don’t commit crimes.”
In addition to talking nonsense and shaking hands with the air, Trump reportedly soiled his pants. Political experts agree that, even if he was faking it, the amount of pride he had to swallow to debase himself like that demonstrated a growing maturity. “And that’s kind of cool,” said Fox News’ Sean Hannity.
“No one is more badehkefkehr than me,” Trump said, according to court documents. “It’s because I’m the prime minister of [inadaudible mumbling] and the Dunk Twins. You know, I met them in Egypt when I was looking for a good taco. Not a joke, believe me. Everyone says so, Jack. End of quote. Repeat the line.”
Trump supporters maintain that it was all an act, that Trump is not approaching senility and was involved in a high-stakes game of 4D Chess.
“He merely pretended to be insane in their presence; and while he was in their hands he acted like a madman, making marks on the courthouse doors and letting saliva run down his beautiful, chiseled features,” said Mike Lindell, founder and CEO of My Pillow. “I’m sure of it!”
At publishing time, Rudy Giuliani claimed Trump owed him $2M in legal fees for the idea.”

“Missing White Girl Found After Search Party Plays ‘Cupid Shuffle’”
U.S. · Feb 9, 2024 · BabylonBee.com
SALEM, OR — A local white girl who had been missing for three days turned up suddenly after search volunteers got out a large speaker and played “Cupid Shuffle.”
Sources confirmed it had been almost 72 hours since 31-year-old Ashley Biggs had gone missing, leading law enforcement and searchers to expect the worst. As a last resort, they faced the woods with a stereo and played the much-beloved wedding line dance song on full blast.
“WWWWOOOOOOOOOOOOO!” cried Ashley, suddenly jumping out from behind a tree. “To the right, to the right, to the right, to the right! To the left, to the left, to the left, to the left! Now kick, now kick, now kick, now kick! Now walk it by yourself, now walk it by yourself!”
“Come dance with me!”
Salem’s Chief Detective spoke to reporters after Biggs was returned to her grateful family. “We play ‘Cupid Shuffle’ as a last resort whenever we have a missing white girl between the ages of 27 and 38. You play this song and they just come out of the woodwork.”
At publishing time, authorities had confirmed they also found a missing meth head by playing “Cotton Eye Joe.”

“White House Staffers Lock Nukes With New Security Question ‘Which Of These Images Shows Mexico'”
POLITICS · Feb 9, 2024 · BabylonBee.com
WASHINGTON, D.C. — White House staffers have — à propos of no particular newsworthy event — decided to upgrade the security system surrounding America’s nuclear arsenal. Specifically, they have locked the nuclear codes behind a series of security questions, chief among them being, “Which of these images shows Mexico?”
Staffers say any President, no matter how unsenile, must answer the security question if they want access to the arsenal, and that this measure has nothing to do with President Biden’s impeccable performance at the press conference last night.
“President Biden is super smart and alive, so he’ll have no problem knowing where Mexico is, or Egypt haha,” said White House Chief of Staff Ron Klain. “Nor will the President have any issues when asked to list how many children he has, or what his name is. You know, typical security questions to keep out the bots.”
At publishing time, Russia had nuked America because Biden had failed the nuclear arsenal’s final security question asking, “Are you a vegetable? Pick YES or NO.”

As all hell continues to break loose around Joe Biden after the release of Special Counsel Robert Hur’s devastating report on Thursday, Sen. Josh Hawley (R-Mo.) says Attorney General Merrick Garland is at a crossroads due to Hur’s decision not to charge Biden with mishandling classified documents.
Hawley, a former attorney general of Missouri, told Fox Digital he believes Garland has only two options under the U.S. Constitution.
With all due respect, Senator, Merrick Garland is the hood ornament of the two-tier justice system.
But to Hawley’s larger point, the Hur investigation into Biden’s handling of classified documents found that he “willfully retained and disclosed classified materials after his vice presidency when he was a private citizen,” but nevertheless, the report indicated that Biden wouldn’t be charged.
And here’s the part principally responsible for all hell breaking loose:
So, yes: Hur concluded that Biden willfully committed a crime. But, no: Biden won’t be charged in part because he’s a “well-meaning elderly man with a poor memory.”
What a complete crock of crap, which Hawley believes, as well:
Hawley simplified it:
Senator, we’re talking about Merrick Garland here. Look up “brazen miscarriage of justice and degradation of the rule of law,” and you’ll probably see his picture.
Incidentally, Rep. Claudia Tenney (R-N.Y.) sent a letter to Garland on Thursday night in which she also called on the attorney general to take action.

Hmmm…something was prowling outside the patio – I heard Jake’s feet hit the floor in the bathroom, where he was looking out the window, and he came running in here, clearly wanting to look out the patio doors, which were still covered. I then noticed that the movement-activated light kept coming on outside so something was triggering it. But I went out on the patio, tho not outside, and couldn’t see anything. I decided to go ahead and uncover the doggie door just for shits-n-giggles to see if Wheezer might still be around…..

THIS right here means the illegals WILL BE REGISTERED to vote by democrats you watch…they consider them “legal”
FTA
But, back to my story: In a thread on the NextDoor platform about providing clothing to those people whom Gov. Abbott bussed to ice-station Denver, a reader questioned the legality of these migrants’ presence in our states. The immediate response from this luminary was, “Actually, they are legal!” How did she achieve this mental triple-axel? Simple. If the Border Patrol stands by while a multitude walks in or hands out appearance tickets for court dates in the next decade—voila!—they are here legally!
No vetting of any kind, no criminal background check, no attention paid to US labor/skillset needs, nothing. Just overwhelmed Border Patrol Agents performing a perfunctory processing of people we know nothing about. Yet, according to our leftist brethren, they are here legally. Amazing!

This explains a lot. Who among us hasn’t noticed the amount of abuse Jill Biden is subjecting her husband to, and wondered why?
The dirty secret here is that her Chief of Staff from when she was Second Lady, Cathy Russell, became the Director of White House Presidential Personnel at the start of the Biden Administration. Russell has been involved with the Bidens going back to 1987 when she worked on Joe Biden’s very first campaign for POTUS.
She worked for Biden in the Senate, and then was an Associated Deputy AG under Janet Reno — one of “Janet’s Girls”. Those are powerful slots — only about 12 in the entire DOJ.
But as Dir. of WH Presidential Personnel at the start of the Biden Admin., her office oversaw the vetting of all 4000 political appointees. She shaped who would be in those appointed positions more than anyone from the Obama Admin.
She is married to Tom Donilon who was National Security Advisor to Obama. He was Chief of Staff to Sec. of State Warren Christopher under Clinton.
The deep-rooted partisan Democrat operatives in the State Dept who caused so much trouble for Trump can all be traced back to him.
He was an architect of the US foreign policy move closer to China during the Obama Admin., and away from traditional Middle East allies like Israel and Saudi Arabia. He was the intellectual father of Biden’s long-standing commitment to abandon Afghanistan.
He now works for BlackRock.
His brother is Mike Donilon — a longtime member of Biden’s inner-circle, and “Senior Advisor to the President” since Nov. 2020.
These people are the reason Jill Biden has so much power inside the Biden Admin. These long-time Dem. Party operatives are behind the scenes exercising their influence through their long-standing ties to Joe Biden, and their close connection to Jill Biden, to determine policy.
