I’ve found some wonderful flavored popcorn recipes and decided to share the recipes one a month for the year!  This month’s offering is Parmesan Ranch!

Ingredients

3 tablespoons freshly grated or shredded Parmesan cheese

¾ teaspoon garlic salt

¾ teaspoon onion powder

¾ teaspoon dried parsley

½ teaspoon salt

¼ teaspoon dried dill

Freshly ground black pepper, to taste

6 tablespoons unsalted butter

½ cup unpopped popcorn kernels, OR 12 cups freshly popped popcorn, unseasoned

Instructions

Measure Parmesan, garlic salt, onion powder, dried parsley, salt, dried dill, and black pepper into a mini food processor (or blender). Pulse until all ingredients are ground into a fine powder. Set aside.

Cube butter and melt (either in a glass measuring cup in the microwave or in a small saucepan on the stove). Allow to sit for a few minutes.

To pop 6 cups of popcorn at a time in the microwave, pour ¼ cup popcorn kernels in a clean paper sack (I use a 12 ⅜ X 6 ⅛ X 4″ brown paper lunch bag). Fold over the top several times. Microwave on high until there is a 2-second pause between pops (all microwaves vary, but this will probably take around 2 minutes, give or take 30 seconds). Shake the bag so that any unpopped kernels roll to one corner. Tear a tiny hole in that corner and shake out kernels. Pour popped popcorn into a large bowl. Repeat entire process one more time for a total of 12 cups popcorn.

Use a spoon to skim the foam from the surface of the melted butter and discard. Slowly drizzle the clear, yellow, melted butter over the popcorn in the bowl, occasionally stirring with a large spoon to make sure that all of the popcorn is evenly coated. Stop pouring out the melted butter once you reach the milky solids in the bottom of the cup/pan (you may discard these or reserve for use in another recipe).

Sprinkle the popcorn with the Ranch Popcorn Seasoning, carefully stirring and tossing so that the popcorn gets evenly coated. Taste as you go…you may choose to use some or all of the Parmesan/herb mixture, and at the end, you may season with additional salt and/or pepper, to taste, if desired. Serve immediately.

Tips + Tricks

There are a couple of easy secrets-to-success behind this Ranch Popcorn Seasoning.

By grinding the Ranch Popcorn Seasoning into a powder, it distributes the flavors and coats the popcorn more evenly than would be accomplished by simply mixing everything together.

Also, the purpose of only using the clear, bright yellow layer of melted butter is that you’re essentially drizzling your popcorn with clarified butter. And since clarified butter is pure butterfat — with excess water and milk proteins removed — your popcorn is less likely to become wet and soggy. Yay!

    reading headlines this morning and it seems nimrata is courting dems in the open primaries to try to defeat President Trump…just like some dude said she would–thus the reason there are NO democratic primaries this year…tell me the left hasn’t gamed this for years in advance…the swine!

    This World Health Organization/IHR meeting JUST happened. WATCH them state that they are stressing because too much TRUTH has come out and it’s getting in the way of this treaty being signed. They try to say countries won’t lose their sovereignty in the future to the WHO, because those countries are writing and agreeing to these rules NOW. They try to say you are CHOOSING these rules…not the WHO. Then the WHO bullies all countries to sign the treaty amendments that take our sovereignty away, after more than 20 countries have voiced concerns. Please share this one widely…

    On Truth Social, Trump shortly after the D.C.   25. Up to 34 now, still cloudy, and melting is going on – you can’t see the snow itself melting but the height of the drifts is slowing coming down at least. They’re predicting in the 40’s next week!

    “The main winners in the elections will be the populist right. The major winner will be the radical right Identity and Democracy (ID) group, which we expect to gain 40 seats and, with almost 100 MEPs, to emerge as the third largest group in the new parliament,” the Berlin-based think-tank forecasts.

    The ID group is predicted to dominate in France, in particular. The group, to which Jordan Bardella’s Rassemblement National is affiliated, would receive the most votes, amassing 30 seats from the available 81.     support, majority coalitions could form to the right for the first time in the history of the European Parliament.”

    Furthermore, the number of anti-EU lawmakers heading to Strasbourg is also expected to rise significantly from 30 percent to 37 percent, providing greater representation to an increasingly growing number of the electorate disillusioned with the European Union’s current direction of travel.

    The European Council on Foreign Relations wrote that its report should serve as a “wake-up call” for “European policymakers about what is at stake in the 2024 European Parliament elections,” warning that a dramatic change in the legislature’s composition could see the next phase of Brussels’ Green Deal blocked and would have implications for the EU’s approach toward immigration, future enlargement of the bloc, and its currently unwavering support for Ukraine.

    The vote also acts as a precursor to upcoming national elections in the next couple of years where the populist right could also make substantial gains, including in Europe’s powerhouse of Germany.”

The incident, which was chronicled in a widely shared Reddit post, explains the dramatic events leading up to the plane’s unannounced return to the gate.

    The Grumpy Preface: The story started with a passenger who was clearly unhappy, complaining aloud before most other passengers had even boarded the aircraft. The man decided to make a spectacular entry with a loud and uncomfortable discharge of gas while seated on the plane, which caused the groans to intensify. Witnesses felt that his remark regarding the stench was inappropriate and unwarranted, particularly given the cramped conditions of a flight.

    Escalation and Confrontation: The first incident was not the end of the obnoxious passenger’s disruptive behavior. To make matters worse, he went on to challenge other passengers to share the stenchiest food they could find. Following a verbal altercation, a close passenger suggested going private if the stench was a problem. After after, there was an announcement telling the passengers that the flight was heading back to the gate and apologizing for the disruption. When the man was ordered to get off the plane, he did so, taking his bag and walking out of the aircraft.

    Relief and Hilarious Reactions: When the disruptive person was taken out of the aircraft, passengers apparently exhaled a sigh of relief. Though there was an unanticipated 15–30 minute delay, most people thought American Airlines handled the matter quickly. Reddit users brought amusement to the strange scenario by responding to the incident with a plethora of jokes about flatulence.”
