What Shall We Bake Today?

Today’s offering looks so good and although it takes a couple of additional steps, it’s still an easy dessert!  Peanut Butter Brownies!

Ingredients

1 1/2 cups creamy peanut butter

1/2 cup all-purpose flour

2/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

3/4 cup salted butter

3 oz. dark chocolate bar, chopped

1 1/4 cups granulated sugar

1/4 tsp. kosher salt

1 1/2 tsp. vanilla

3 large eggs

1/3 cup semisweet chocolate chips

1/3 cup peanut butter chips

Directions

Preheat the oven to 350°. Lightly grease a 9-by-9-inch square baking pan then line with parchment paper, leaving an overhang on all sides. Microwave the peanut butter for 30 seconds; stir. Repeat as necessary until peanut butter is pourable. Pour into the prepared pan. Freeze until firm, about 1 hour. Remove the peanut butter layer and transfer to a small sheet tray. Store in the freezer until ready to use.

Sift together the flour and cocoa powder in a medium mixing bowl.

Melt the butter and chocolate in a medium saucepan over medium heat, stirring often. Remove from heat.

Beat the sugar, salt, vanilla, and eggs in a large bowl with an electric mixer at medium-high speed until fluffy, about 3 minutes. Slowly drizzle in the melted chocolate mixture on low speed until combined. Beat in the flour mixture on low speed until just combined.

Pour half of the batter into the prepared pan. Remove peanut butter layer from the freezer, and place on top of brownie batter. Top with the remaining half of the brownie batter, and spread to even out the top. Sprinkle the top with the chocolate chips and peanut butter chips.

Bake in the preheated oven for about 40 minutes or until puffed, dry to the touch, and set on the top (a wooden pick inserted in the center will not come out clean). Cool completely in the pan on a wire rack, about 3 hours. Cut into 16 squares.

ENJOY!

PAT’S NOTE: I think you could probably substitute a box mix for the brownie part—just make the peanut butter layer as described and top with the chocolate and peanut butter chips before baking!  Easy-Peasy!

  1. Morning All!
hubby had a very restful sleep last night–still is sleeping!
I fell asleep as we were watching tv after supper last night. i awoke a couple of hours later to find him at the top of the stairs McGuyver-ing a way to get the tubing upstairs without us having to lug the o2 generator up and down the stairs. (he wanted to sleep in our bed–not the sofa bed)
we moved the machine to a central spot in the hall and i fed the tubing up to him and then he twist tied it slightly to the railing.
he climbed into bed easily–such a dramatic change from a week ago.
he slept normally–we keep the bed position on snore (head slightly elevated) and on his side. He got up once to use the bathroom, got back into bed and fell back to sleep. he got up again just now to use the bathroom and is back in bed.
so good to have him home

he was already at the top trying to see if the length of tubing they provided is gonna be enough. but to be fair, he was walking around without the cannula before and practicing his recovery breathing.

Remember this from 2021? FBI finds scant evidence U.S. Capitol attack was coordinated. “Ninety to ninety-five percent of these are one-off cases,” said a former senior law enforcement official with knowledge of the investigation. “Then you have five percent, maybe, of these militia groups that were more closely organized. But there was no grand scheme with Roger Stone and Alex Jones and all of these people to storm the Capitol and take hostages.” https://www.reuters.com/world/us/exclusive-fbi-finds-scant-evidence-us-capitol-attack-was-coordinated-sources-2021-08-20/

President Trump will repair the damage done by dems.
The annual cost of accommodating the millions of illegals in this country:
      $451 billion [latest House estimate]
Total cost of a border wall: $15 billion
This is not a crisis. They want it this way.

Did you ever hear of the “Algerian Strategy?” Six mos. to a year ago one could find multiple references to it; now…I think TPTB are furiously expunging information because we’ve been deep into this new reality for some time. 1. Those sound like horror movies and I wasn’t, and still aren’t, a fan. My brother and sister took me to a movie when we were young – I guess I was about 5 – and during the intermission, a preview was shown of a horror movie called, IIRC, The Fog or something like that. This was in the early ’60’s scared the crap out of me. Then another episode of seeing something on TV when I was around 12 just solidified the deal! LOL – I have seen some along the way but not many.

My 7 years older brother used to roust me out of a sound sleep to watch horror films with him. That first “The Mummy” flick mildly traumatized me. 🤪

It’s almost 2024, I’m almost 76 years old and I still have so many unanswered questions!!!! I haven’t found out who let the dogs out…where’s the beef…how to get to Sesame Street… why Dora doesn’t just use Google Maps…Why do all flavors of fruit loops taste exactly the same, or how many licks does it take to get to the center of a tootsie pop……why eggs are packaged in a flimsy carton, but batteries are secured in plastic that’s tough as nails…what does the fox say… why “abbreviated” is such a long word; or why is there a D in ‘fridge’ but not in refrigerator… why lemon juice is made with artificial flavor yet dish-washing liquid is made with real lemons… why they sterilize the needle for lethal injections… and, why do you have to “put your two cents in” but it’s only a “penny for your thoughts” where’s that extra penny going to… why does The Alphabet Song and Twinkle Twinkle Little Star have the same tune… why did you just try to sing those two previous songs… Where is Waldo?… Can you hear me now?…and do you really think I am this witty??

FTA “A federal judge on Tuesday permitted a civil suit against former President Donald Trump over the death of Capitol Police officer Brian Sicknick to advance, but dismissed two of the counts. In the Tuesday ruling, U.S. District Court Judge Amit Mehta dismissed Garza’s wrongful death and negligence claims, CBS reported. He did, however, permit her to bring two counts under the D.C. Survival Act.
We are pleased to see that our lawsuit in pursuit of justice for the late Capitol Police Officer Brian Sicknick, who died in the aftermath of the January 6th insurrection, has been permitted to continue. We are now considering our next step options, to include deposing former President Trump,” Garza attorney Mark Zaid said.”
What total Lawfare bull💩! It continues on and on with no end in sight, “the process is the punishment”!!! The dropping of two charges is to give the appearance of fairness by the corrupt obama appointed Judge Mehta!!! Standard Lawfare practice over charge then drop some for appearance sake then proceed with the phony charges that remain!

Provisions of new North Carolina election law went in to effect Jan 1
    From John Locke Foundation:
“Starting January 1st, key parts of the elections bill, S.B. 747, were implemented. This includes a regulation that sets Election Day as the final day for absentee ballots and mandates that convicted felons must complete their full sentence, including probation and any financial restitution before their voting rights are reinstated.
Additionally, from this date, election boards can no longer receive private funding for election administration. In an article published by Theresa Opeka of The Carolina Journal, Theresa notes the reason for the change, writing:
“That provision was sparked by the uneven use of seven million dollars in “Zuck Bucks” donations from Mark Zuckerberg’s Center for Tech and Civic Life (CTCL) in 2020. During that election the private money primarily went to Democrat-leaning precincts in North Carolina to fund get-out-the-vote efforts.”
It’s important to note that last year, Governor Cooper vetoed this bill, drawing national attention mainly due to his claims of racial bias in the legislation.

However, despite Governor Cooper’s veto, the legislature successfully overturned it“

Summary of Election Fraud in the 2020 Presidential Election in the Swing States
    GEORGIA:
Fulton County DID NOT COUNT THE SAME BALLOTS during the first and second machine count.
19,541 distinct ballots appear in one machine count but not the other.

    Click to access summary20of20election20fraud20in20the20swing20states.pdf

Not a single ballot purportedly cast during early in-person voting was witnessed to and signed off by poll managers in Fulton County, per their own rules.
There is no reconciliation for these 315,000 votes.
The machines that tabulated these 315,000 votes had their seals broken and memory cards removed.
The “results” were then printed out on different machines than tabulated them.
The ballot images, along with the rest of in-person votes cast on Election Day, were destroyed.
The second machine count could not confirm Election night totals and was over 17,000 votes short .
Raffensperger instructed Fulton County to “reconcile” the results and Fulton recertified without divulging the extent of the vote deficiency to members of the Elections Board.
Captain K recaps Georgia’s 2020 “election,” outlining the path to a 7.5% Trump win, with a margin of victory approaching 350,000 votes:

  13. “So Democrats, Your Leaders are Pedophiles”

ENTIRE ARTICLE: “Democrats, do us all a favor and don’t open your fucking mouths moving forward, unless the words are “I’m sorry, you were right.” You people have lost your privilege to speak in our presence. You all had the AUDACITY to call us deplorable, while worshipping literal pedophiles. You all discriminated against us, weaponized all levers of government against us, and claimed WE were the evil ones, because YOU were brainwashed by the pedophiles YOU claimed were the “decent” ones. You all called us crazy for talking about widespread pedophilia and child trafficking. You claimed that we were conspiracy theorist whack-jobs. Well turns out we were right.

So moving forward, you all do not get the privilege of being taken seriously in any capacity. If you do not denounce your leaders and their crimes against children, you are complicit perpetuating the enabling of crimes against children.

We will not be taking any shit from people who rape children, or their supporters. Your leaders will pay for what they have done, and you can either join us, or shut the fuck up and get out of the way.”

  14. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-12904363/Sex-ring-Boston-Virgiinia-honeypot-China-South-Korea-ensnare-officials.html
EXCERPT: “Intelligence experts are becoming increasingly convinced that six high end brothels in the suburbs of Boston and Washington, D.C. were set up by a foreign nation as an espionage ‘honeytrap.’ They believe the brothels – allegedly masterminded by a 41-year-old South Korean woman – targeted politicians, high ranking government officials and defense contractors.

But the mystery is which country was behind the scheme. Russia, China, Korea itself, or even Israel are al seen as possibly being behind the scheme. ‘Having the Koreans out front could have been a false flag to give China or another country plausible deniability if the plot unraveled,’ a one-time CIA senior operations officer told DailyMail.com in an exclusive interview.

The brothels were raided in November and prosecutors said they were looking to charge 28 people in Massachusetts alone. — The Daily Mail

Our Take: “Hey, remember when intelligence officials said the laptop was Russian disinformation because it revealed massive evidence of criminal racketeering and influence operations that implicated… intelligence agencies? Intelligence experts are now saying their, I mean, this sex-crime-and-blackmail-ring is a foreign operation. To be fair, it probably is.

This announcement from intelligence ‘experts’ is the entire point of FVEY. Plausible deniability. Plus, in the post-COVID dystopia, everything is global. Including politician ownership and access. Including blackmail, bribery and extortion. Including crimes against children and humanity. All global. And local.

The Epstein reveals continue to dominate the news — it’s dominating the front page of The Daily Mail as I write this — with flight log reruns on a marathon. The sex-crime-and-blackmail-ring story coming into focus at the same time as the Epstein marathon doesn’t feel coincidental.

It feels like piling disclosures upon disclosures about the true nature of reality — and the media is saying it out loud. What a time to be alive!” — Ashe in America

Women’s Rights Groups Protest UN Appointment Of Transgender Activist As ‘Women’s Champion’

EXCERPT: “The United Nations has appointed a transgender activist as a “women’s champion,” prompting women’s rights groups to express their “dismay and disappointment.” The Times reports “Seventeen women’s rights groups have signed a letter to the charity UN Women UK expressing concern about its choice of a transgender woman as its “UK champion”.

UN Women bills itself as the “Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women,” that works “for gender equality and the empowerment of women.” Yet they’ve appointed a biological man as the UK’s representative for women. It seems like a direct exercise in trolling women at this point.

The person in question is Munroe Bergdorf, a model, broadcaster and transgender activist. Campaign Group Fair Play For Women issued a statement noting “In December the UN Women’s UK committee appointed a male who presents in a highly sexualised stereotype of womanhood as an ambassador for women.”

It continues, “UN Women has made a point of demonstrating that it considers males can become women. It’s disappointing to see the UK committee go so far as to select a male to represent women. Their credibility is in tatters.” — Modernity News

“News reports are saying that several regions across southeastern Queensland and northern New South Wales have seen floodwaters inundating roads, cutting off towns and damaging properties, as authorities advised residents in low-lying areas to move to higher ground.

Photos and videos circulating on social media show snakes and other wildlife navigating through stagnant floodwaters in urban areas. One video shows a deadly snake interrupting the tennis match between Dominic Thiem and James McCabe on 30 December. Other videos on TikTok and in local media show snakes spotted in toilet cubicles and bowls.

Wildlife rescuer Tennille Bankes, who was recently called out to Goondiwindi near the New South Wales border to retrieve a black snake from inside a public toilet, told Yahoo News Australia the “wild weather” during Christmas and New Year is likely one of the reasons behind the phenomenon.”

  20. “Wasting Time: Police Investigate A Virtual Rape”
By Milt Harris ——Bio and Archives–January 4, 2024

EXCERPT: “In2002, Tom Cruise made a movie called “Minority Report.” It was set In the year 2054 A.D.; crime is virtually eliminated from Washington D.C., thanks to an elite law enforcing squad “Precrime.” They use three gifted humans (called “Pre-Cogs”) with special powers to see into the future and predict crimes beforehand. John Anderton heads Precrime and believes in the system’s flawlessness steadfastly. However, one day the Pre-Cogs predict that Anderton will commit a murder himself in the next 36 hours. Worse, Anderton doesn’t even know the victim. He decides to get to the mystery’s core by finding out the “minority report” which means the prediction of the female Pre-Cog Agatha that might tell a different story and prove Anderton innocent.

Police in the U.K. are now investigating a “virtual” rape that took place in the Meta-Verse. Pretty far-fetched stuff. Imagine being able to predict a crime before it’s committed. On the other hand, imagine if you’re wrong. Then you have arrested someone for not committing a crime.

While it isn’t exactly the same thing, the police in the U.K. are now investigating a “virtual” rape that took place in the Meta-Verse. In this case, a girl under the age of 16 has been left “distraught” after her digital character, which is known as an avatar was gang raped by online strangers.

Now keep in mind that this attack was totally virtual, no physical attack took place and there were no injuries. This incident took place in virtual reality (VR) within a headset that the girl was wearing. Still, the police say that she suffered the same psychological and emotional distress and trauma as someone that had been raped in the real world.

I’ll admit that I have limited knowledge of the metaverse. My understanding is that it’s a network of shared, immersive virtual worlds where people can connect with friends, create, and play games, work and shop. You can think of the metaverse as a cyberspace, or an evolved, three-dimensional internet where logging in isn’t necessary. Well, at least that is what people like Mark Zuckerberg want it to become. A place where a person can live a fantasy life in a digital realm. In this case the girl’s avatar was in an online room with a large number of other users and the virtual assault took place by several adult male avatars.

I’m going to take an educated guess that most police forces are already very busy investigating real life crime. There are some police leaders that believe legislation is necessary due to a wave of virtual sexual assaults that are taking place. These people claim that officers must develop new tactics to keep perverts from using the technology to exploit children. While I can see some perverts using the technology to get their jollies, in a make-believe world, couldn’t you say the same thing about games that are violent in other ways?

What I’m asking is this, if police are going to investigate virtual rapes, are they also going to begin investigating virtual muggings? How about virtual car thefts, or virtual robberies? Virtual stabbings? Virtual murders? Where does it end?….”
