On December 21, 1988, Pan Am Flight 103 from London to New York explodes in midair over Lockerbie, Scotland, killing all 243 passengers and 16 crew members aboard, as well as 11 Lockerbie residents on the ground. A bomb hidden inside an audio cassette player detonated in the cargo area when the plane was at an altitude of 31,000 feet. The disaster, which became the subject of Britain’s largest criminal investigation, was believed to be an attack against the United States. One hundred eighty-nine of the victims were American.
Islamic terrorists were accused of planting the bomb on the plane while it was at the airport in Frankfurt, Germany. Authorities suspected the attack was in retaliation for either the 1986 U.S. air strikes against Libya, in which leader Muammar al-Qaddafi’s young daughter was killed along with dozens of other people, or a 1988 incident, in which the U.S. mistakenly shot down an Iran Air commercial flight over the Persian Gulf, killing 290 people.

Sixteen days before the explosion over Lockerbie, the U.S. embassy in Helsinki, Finland, received a call warning that a bomb would be placed on a Pan Am flight out of Frankfurt. There is controversy over how seriously the U.S. took the threat and whether travelers should have been alerted, but officials later said that the connection between the call and the bomb was coincidental.
In 1991, following a joint investigation by the British authorities and the F.B.I., Libyan intelligence agents Abdel Basset Ali al-Megrahi and Lamen Khalifa Fhimah were indicted for murder; however, Libya refused to hand over the suspects to the U.S. Finally, in 1999, in an effort to ease United Nations sanctions against his country, Qaddafi agreed to turn over the two men to Scotland for trial in the Netherlands using Scottish law and prosecutors. In early 2001, al-Megrahi was convicted and sentenced to life in prison and Fhimah was acquitted. Over the U.S. government’s objections, Al-Megrahi was freed and returned to Libya in August 2009 after doctors determined that he had only months to live. In December 2020, reports surfaced that the U.S. Justice Department would unseal criminal charges against another suspect in the bombing, Abu Agila Mohammad Mas’ud.

In 2003, Libya accepted responsibility for the bombing, but didn’t express remorse. The U.N. and U.S. lifted sanctions against Libya and Libya agreed to pay each victim’s family approximately $8 million in restitution. In 2004, Libya’s prime minister said that the deal was the “price for peace,” implying that his country only took responsibility to get the sanctions lifted, a statement that infuriated the victims’ families. Pan Am Airlines, which went bankrupt three years after the bombing, sued Libya and later received a $30 million settlement.
In December 2022, the U.S. Justice Department announced Abu Agila Mohammad Mas’ud was arrested by the FBI for his suspected role in the bombing.

Morning, Pat! It’s too early to call my Sis yet but she was having some issues with something – IDR if it had to do with her breathing but something is tickling in the back of my brain…anyway, someone told her about an herb or something that she has been taking and, whatever it is, it worked for her. I’ll call her later this morning to double-check. It was something that is toxic if taken the wrong way….I’ll let you know after I talk to her.
As for this pre-warning on this bomb – OF COURSE the “officials” would say there was no connection AFTER THE FACT!!! Bet 💲’s to 🍩’s it WAS specifically about that flight!!!

interesting! former AG declares Smith’s appointment is unconstitutional and as such he cannot represent the US in any case before SCOTUS.
WASHINGTON, DC – Jack Smith’s appointment as special counsel is unconstitutional and so the Supreme Court must reject his petition against Donald Trump, lawyers representing former Attorney General Ed Meese and two top constitutional scholars in the country argued in a brief filed on Wednesday.
Their amicus (or “friend of the court”) brief argues that Smith lacks authority to represent the United States by asking the Supreme Court to weigh in (called a petition for certiorari) because the office he holds has not been created by Congress and his appointment violates the “Appointments Clause” of the Constitution.
The filing essentially claims U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland improperly appointed Smith to an office that does not exist with authority Garland does not possess.
Meese, Steven Calabresi, the co-chairman of the Federalist Society, and Gary Lawson, a prominent constitutional law professor, first argue that only Congress can create federal offices such as Smith currently holds, which Congress has not done.
While the Constitution creates the offices of President and Vice President, Congress has the sole authority to create additional offices, because the Constitution says those offices must be “established by Law.” Congress previously passed a law to authorize a similar position called an “independent counsel,” but that statute expired in 1999.
Garland cannot hire a mere employee to perform tasks that Congress has not authorized, the attorneys write. Only an “officer” can hold such a significant level of authority. In creating the Department of Justice, Congress gave it certain powers by law, yet it authorized no office with all the powers of a U.S. Attorney that Garland has given Smith.
The amicus brief further argues, “Even if one somehow thinks that existing statutes authorize appointment of stand-alone special counsels with the full power of a U.S. Attorney, Smith was not properly appointed to such an ‘office.’” They assert even if special counsels were authorized by Congress, anyone in possession of such powers would require presidential nomination and Senate confirmation.
Moreover, the brief argued that Smith has so much power, just like a U.S. Attorney, he is a “principal officer” under the Constitution’s Appointments Clause, which means he must first be nominated by the president and then confirmed by a majority of the U.S. Senate.
“Improperly appointed, he has no more authority to represent the United States in this Court than Bryce Harper, Taylor Swift, or Jeff Bezos,” they write.
Although these briefs focus on saying the Supreme Court should refuse Smith’s petition for the high court to take the case, its argument would mean that lower federal courts should dismiss all of Smith’s prosecutions, including all of his pending charges against Trump.
Meese served as Attorney General for President Ronald Reagan during a time when independent counsels were authorized by Congress and served a significant role.

Follow on to my comment yesterday, with a couple of additional twists I hadn’t considered since I didn’t know all of the details.
Our Take: “As I mention in my other take in today’s Brief, the battle to ensure that only Republican voters can select Republican candidates is years long, and it has largely centered on closing the primary and restoring the full authority of the caucus. I wrote about this in my local Glendale Cherry Creek column back in June.
Technically, the state GOP can withdraw from the primary, if they receive a waiver from the RNC. A move like this would be opposed by state officials AND the donor class of the state (and national?) GOP, and similar actions by the America First factions within the party have failed in recent months.
But it is possible, and according to my sources within the state party, they will pursue the option if forced by the progressives. The Colorado Primary is March 5, 2024, but the Republican Assembly, when the Republican candidates will ostensibly be selected, is March 29, 2024. So if this is required, the General Election Ballot in Colorado may have to work its way through the courts again. All eyes on the US Supreme Court, but it’s comforting to know that the state party is already looking ahead should the outcome not go their way.
Now if only they would fight the damn insurrection narrative.” — Ashe in America

https://dailycaller.com/2023/12/20/joe-biden-dhs-trump-removed-colorado-ballot/
Our Take: “The grass is green…The sky is blue…A bear poops in the woods…The Biden admin is linked to the Trump case in Colorado… I’ll take ‘What are things that don’t surprise me? for $2,000, Alex.’
In news that surprises exactly nobody, it turns out that the case against Trump in Colorado was brought forth by Noah Bookbinder – Who just so happens to be a member of Biden’s Admin (and kind of resembles a slightly smaller, yet just as arrogant Brian Stetler).
Simply put, and personally speaking, the decision by Colorado’s Supreme Court to remove President Trump from the Primary Ballot is arguably the most disgusting miscarriage of justice I have seen in my entire adult life – and that’s saying a lot. It is a move doomed to fail and a move based in nothing other than panic. Panic shouldn’t be a factor in judicial proceedings, but … well, here we are.
Of course, it also helps to realize that this wasn’t a judicial proceeding so much as it was a kangaroo court and clown show full of malfeasance and based entirely in lawfare. The fact that there is a tie to Biden’s administration coupled with the fact that Joe is on record as saying he will ‘make sure’ Trump isn’t elected means that this news is, sadly enough, not surprising. Rather, it has become expected under the current Communist Regime occupying 1600 Pennsylvania Ave.” — Paul Fleuret

“It’s over” – comments investigative journalist Kit Klarenberg after noticing that The Washington Post quietly deleted a prominent tab from its Masthead. What was a long featured “War in Ukraine” tab, which had been there from the start of the war going back to Feb. 2022 has disappeared…

An Internet Archive search and review of all Washington Post frontpages shows the tab was there throughout all of 2022. It was also present through most of 2023, until very recently. Ironically just yesterday Ukraine’s President Zelensky again complained that the world’s focus has been taken off supporting his country’s struggle due in large part to the events in Israel and Gaza. In an interview weeks ago, he had laid out that “We already can see the consequences of the international community shifting (attention) because of the tragedy in the Middle East. He added at the time: “Only the blind don’t recognize this.”
WaPo’s change in its frontpage is certainly emblematic of this trend, but also the war fatigue that has long gripped the American public, and the widespread acknowledgement that Ukrainian forces are losing. Still, readers can navigate the WaPo’s homepage and still eventually get to a “War in Ukraine” tab, by first clicking on the “World” tab located third from last on the masthead. Ukraine’s supporters are none too happy about this highly symbolic development… — ZeroHedge
Our Take: “WAPO, undoubtedly one of the most infamous mouthpieces of the Globalist Collective has officially reached the endpoint of Overton’s Goalpost where it concerns the Prussian Proxy of Ukraine, having demoted the storyline from their featured masthead to the back pages.
While they haven’t publicly admitted that the initial panic and warmongering on behalf of said proxy was folly, as has been the case for every Forever War both illusory ‘sides’ of the Establishment Uniparty have endorsed for decades, their silence is telling, and directed.
This about-face on Ukraine has been in the works for some time, beginning with said Establishment’s accusations of money laundering toward their proxy, and accelerating with Zelensky’s continuously humiliating world tour of beggary. But I think the Collective Mind gets so easily swept up into the next narrative, the implications of this turn are still largely lost on most.
[They] have lost their main vector of power projection. They’ve lost the story.” — Burning Bright

TO CONGRESS AND CONCERNED CITIZENS:
Joe Biden has an inviolable legal, moral and constitutional duty to defend our border — and to deter, detain and deport those who violate it.
Biden has willfully and lawlessly abrogated that duty and instead implemented, by choice and design, the largest resettlement scheme in the history of the world: mass relocating and releasing MILLIONS upon MILLIONS of illegals into our cities at an immeasurable cost in human suffering and human lives.
Child trafficking. Labor trafficking. Sex trafficking. The vilest abuse at an industrial scale. Torment and torture. Modern-day slavery.
Communities bankrupted. Hospitals drowning. Towns besieged. Police incapacitated. Schools overrun. Our children’s education shipwrecked. Our nation’s finances drained dry.
Drug overdoses. Fentanyl deaths. Gangland executions. One preventable crime, one preventable assault, one preventable murder after another — all perpetrated by those who have no right whatsoever to be here.
Criminal trespassers escorted into our neighborhoods by our own government with our own taxpayer dollars.
Our border nullified. Our immigration laws suspended. Our sovereignty terminated. Our social fabric rended and unraveled. Our asylum system corrupted and disfigured beyond recognition.
Citizens robbed, trampled, disenfranchised.
Cartels enriched, emboldened, empowered.
An endless nightmare train of indignity and horror.
All engineered and orchestrated by the criminal regime at 1600 Penn.
An Administration without conscience. Without remorse. Without a twinge of human regret for the death and devastation they have wrought.
The temples of our laws smashed and broken. The citadel of human achievement now a squalid refugee camp.
Our Constitution discarded. Our Republic lowered into the deepest state of humiliation.
The choice now is to love America or lose it forever.
Remove Biden from the ballot for leading this deadly insurrection.
Impeach him. Impeach Mayorkas. Make all appropriate criminal referrals to DOJ.
Defund all releases of illegals. Prohibit all further resettlement. Vote all day, every day, if that is what it takes to expose the Democrats’ total, radical and unrelenting complicity in this monstrous conspiracy against this nation and its people.
For there is not nearly so much time as you think. The hour is late.

If Dems want to play this game, there are a whole lot more judges and prosecutors who would have to recuse than just Jack Smith. Here’s the short list:
Merrick Garland
Judge Engoron
NY AG Letitia James, who actually ran on a “get Trump” platform
Atlanta DA Fani Willis
All four Colorado supremes who voted to take Trump off the ballot
Judge Beryl Howell
When you think about it, most of the headlines of the last 7 years that involved Trump and legal issues also involved people who had no business being assigned to those cases if there was going to be any pretense of fairness.

“‘Brutal acceleration of immigration’ – France’s ‘historic collapse’ in PISA academic ratings tied to exploding foreign population, 40% of those under age of 4 are immigrants or of immigrant origin. Demographic transformation and mass immigration are sinking France’s educational rankings and could even threaten the country’s economic foundation”

December 11, 2023
editor: REMIX NEWS author: JOHN CODY
EXCERPT: France’s “historic collapse” in its PISA (Programme for International Student Assessment) rankings is tied to its soaring immigrant population, writes French professor Joachim Le Floch-Imad, the director of the Fondation Res Publica and author of “Tolstoy. A philosophical life.”
The French professor, writing in France’s top newspaper Le Figaro, outlines how there was a “culture of denial” surrounding France’s falling educational standards over the last decades, but now, much has changed, especially after the latest PISA results show that France is facing a massive decline.
Professor Le Floch-Imad wrote that the shock results “have since contributed to the breaking of a certain number of dikes and the current education minister now has no other choice but to describe ‘a shocking piece of knowledge’ and ambitious measures to ‘raise the level of schools’ and ‘restore authority to teachers.’”….

“The American Dream is Dead”
CLANDESTINE
DEC 21, 2023
“What made the USA the greatest nation ever created?
-Freedom of speech
-Due process
-Free and fair elections
-Quality of life
All of this is gone. The American dream is dead.
-You are not free to speak. Social media censorship dictates what you must think and say.
-Due process has been replaced by public perception. Trump and J6ers received no due process, yet have been “convicted” by rogue weaponized elements within the government.
-Elections are neither fair nor free. Pertinent information is kept from you, and lies are told to you, in order to influence who you vote for. And if you don’t pick who they want you to pick, they cheat, or take his name off the ballot,
-Quality of life is diminishing rapidly. Inflation is destroying Americans. The Middle class no longer exists. The wealth has been redistributed to the 1%. Cost of living is unbearable, and wages are not going up.
All the things we used to hang our hat on as Americans, have been stripped from you by the establishment. This is not a “democracy.” This is a tyrannical dictatorship, operating under the guise of “freedom.” [NF: It certainly isn’t a Constitutional Republic either!]

A SECOND Capitol Hill Sex Tape being Investigated

ENTIRE ARTICLE @ NextGenNews: “The high-profile Senate sex scandal that rocked Washington, D.C. this month, was, in fact, the second time in less than two years that sexually explicit videos filmed in the U.S. Capitol prompted an investigation.
A spokesperson for Rep. Dan Newhouse, R-Wash. confirmed that reports of “purported, unbecoming behavior” by a senior staffer in their office triggered an investigation last year. They added that “no conclusive evidence” was found.
The staffer, who Semafor is not naming, denied he participated in explicit videos, and disputed elements of the office’s characterization of the episode in a telephone interview and a series of text messages. He said he was informed of the investigation in June 2022, but told by the Congressman in July that it had ended with “no evidence to the allegation.” He said he left in the fall of 2022 on good terms for unrelated reasons to take a job outside of Washington, D.C. The Congressman praised his work in material announcing his hire.
One thing that is clear, however: There is, in fact, a second set of Capitol sex videos, which circulated on Snapchat last year. They featured in the Snapchat story of a user going by “Adam J” with the handle “Anjackson2019,” according to the recordings viewed by Semafor, which were provided by a source.
One of the videos, watched by Semafor, featured a man masturbating inside a House office building, which was identifiable by standard Capitol House furniture and carpeting. The desk at which the videographer performed also held a branded congressional mouse pad. A screenshot of a second video obtained by Semafor shows two men engaged in a sex act in an office setting. The participants’ faces are not visible in any of the material viewed by Semafor.
After the videos surfaced, Newhouse’s office was told that a suspected participant was a member of their staff. “As soon as the office was alerted, we immediately contacted the appropriate House entities to conduct an independent investigation,” the spokesperson for Newhouse said, adding that “the office will not be providing further comment on personnel matters.”
