Getting married and need an idea for the groomsmen?  Get some mini liquor bottles and create a mini bar in a jar!

I like this idea—very simple.  Get some white chocolate covered pretzels, a couple of buttons and viola!  Snowman in a jar!

This idea hubby loved—because hubby loves malted milk balls!

  1. Morning All!
we went out on a banana run last evening. at walmart last night i saw the same 2 guys i have been seeing most times we go there. they do not speak english; they are ethnic; and don’t seem to make eye contact at all. i suspected they were “new to the area” so to speak and this was months ago. last night they brought their families shopping with them. 2 large women–not tall, pudgy. everyone had dark hair, darker skin. the children were rattling off things in their native tongue but nothing sounded spanish–i know some spanish–this was not that.
but as cold as it was–and it’s still near 20* here– they were only wearing hooded sweatshirts–every one of them. odd.
i encountered them numerous times throughout my shopping trip so i could see some of the stuff in one of their carts. junk food. when i passed the snack chip section, one woman was holding up 2 bags and the children were pointing to the one on the left–cheese curls. lol

    1. Everyone across the country is seeing more of that, I expect. I’ve noticed in Norfolk that when you do make eye contact, they seem to want to avoid it or are very tentative about it but I’ve discovered a simple smile makes a big difference. In some cases, when they see a welcoming face, they will interact with you and even ask for help sometimes. It’s hard….no, they shouldn’t be here but….I’m not going to go out of my way to avoid them or be angry at them. That would serve no purpose and certainly wouldn’t help the situation.

      1. Morning Filly. I smile at everyone–that’s my baseline. and I thought previously that my smiling might make them feel uncomfortable. but I smiled at everyone–you’d be amazed at how many return the smile
I would have definitely helped in any way i could but seeing the families made me feel better about them here rather than the single aged military men kind of thing if that makes sense

        1. Oh, definitely! Most times, I see families but also sometimes just 2 or 3 males. I don’t worry much about seeming friendly to them, TBH.

  2. When I turned on Fox this morning, they were in a cafe in GA – each and every person they asked who would win the 2024 election? TRUMP!!!

    https://www.theepochtimes.com/us/court-rejects-another-bid-to-keep-president-trump-off-primary-ballot-5536882

Ashe’s Take: “By my count, there are 22 states with 14th Amendment, Section 3 challenges to President Trump’s 2024 candidacy. Six states — Florida, Colorado, New Hampshire, Minnesota, Michigan, and now Rhode Island — have declined to prevent President Trump from being on the ballot. But the challenges and the rulings are all over the place.

In Florida, a federal district judge ruled that a lawyer and other voters who challenged Trump’s candidacy didn’t have standing. (August 31)

The Minnesota Supreme Court dismissed a challenge, ruling that there’s no law barring Trump from serving on the primary ballot; left it open for challengers to retry the case for the general. (November 8)

In Michigan, a state judge ruled that Trump followed state law in qualifying for the primary election. Deferred eligibility questions to Congress. (November 14)

The most severe ruling came in Colorado where, as we’ve been reporting, a state judge ruled that ‘Trump incited an insurrection on January 6, 2021 and therefore ‘engaged’ in insurrection within the meaning of Section Three of the Fourteenth Amendment’ but that ‘Section Three of the Fourteenth Amendment does not apply to Trump.’ (November 17)

The Colorado ruling is being appealed by both the petitioners and the intervenors to the Colorado Supreme Court on Wednesday, December 6. We’ll be covering this one to the end, which statutorily has to come by December 29.

Now in Rhode Island, a federal judge summarily dismissed another challenge, reasoning that the plaintiff failed to show that he suffered ‘injury in fact,’ which is a required component for Section Three of the 14th Amendment. (November 27)

There are similar cases pending all across the country, as those severely gripped by TDS turn to lawfare as a soothing mechanism. Challenges are still in play in Alaska, Arizona, Connecticut, Delaware, Kansas, Massachusetts, Montana, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, South Carolina, Texas, Vermont, Virginia, West Virginia, Wisconsin and Wyoming.

The lawyers are making a fortune subverting the Constitution. At what point does this become abuse of process? Frivolous litigation? A mental health diagnosis?

As I’ve said before, I don’t believe this 14A lawfare is about keeping President Trump off the ballot.

The first 95 pages of the Colorado ruling affirm the central narrative, the J6 report, the pseudo-science of far right extremism, thought crimes, speech crimes, and the 14th Amendment being superior to the 1st.

The ruling, if it stands, applies to everyone who previously swore an oath who is not the President. Thankfully, President Trump is appealing this dangerous propaganda disguised as a judicial ruling.

Finally, another fun angle to this Rhode Island story is that the Plaintiff — who is involved in a couple dozen of the challenges across multiple states — is named Castro. Because, of course he is.” — Ashe in America

  3. https://www.politico.com/news/2023/11/29/henry-kissinger-diplomat-nobel-obituary-031478
BB’s Take: “The era in which Kissinger made his name was before my time, and while I have attempted deep dives into particular eras of interest to me, like all of us in the Truth Community do, I can’t pretend to have done so regarding either the Nixon Admin or its various connections.

However, Kissinger’s influence—and more importantly, his systemic origins—elevated him to the status of infamous more than famous, his name being synonymous with the concept of shadow government and, as this publication remarks, ‘realpolitik’ for all American generations since.

While the Establishment might attempt to convince the Normie Layers of the Collective Mind that practical politics has always been the way of Kissinger and his ilk, most of us in this community understand that there is a game below and above the game, and that Kissinger was a major player in it. I look forward to your takes in the comment section.” — Burning Bright

  4. Almost all of our snow has melted now, 30 on the thermometer, mostly sunny. I’ve got to make a quick run to Norfolk soon – gotta meet up with Glen between 9 and 10:30 so I need to get to the bank and get my shopping done first. Wheezer was in his chair sleeping, as usual, and wanted some petting before digging into breakfast. See you in a couple of hours!

      1. I’m back – nipply out there but sunny at least and not much traffic this early, thankfully! Also not many people at WM. Gas is below $3 everywhere now! $2.89

    Russia bans ‘LGBT movement’
The country’s Supreme Court has designated the “international LGBT movement” an extremist group

‘The lawsuit was filed earlier this month by the Russian Justice Ministry, which argued that “the LGBT movement’s” activities had qualified it as an “extremist group.” Specifically, it has been sowing “social and religious discord” in the country, the ministry claimed.’ – – Amen

‘Over the past few years, Russia has gradually tightened its legislation aimed at countering the spread of so-called “LGBT ideology.” In 2013, the country outlawed the dissemination of such propaganda among minors, extending the measure to adults last December.’ – – and Amen

  6. throwing out veterans and bringing in migrants…DISGUSTING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I hope you suckers in government rot in hell for treating our veterans this way!!!!
    FTA
Tammaro has claimed the deal to turn Island Shores into a migrant housing facility “was done behind closed doors.”

At first, he said, residents were told the senior center would reopen under new management.

In a statement to Fox News, Homes for the Homeless, the new owners of the building, said it intended to sell Island Shores “to focus on its core mission of serving homeless families” and said that the preferred buyer “would be another senior operator.”

Instead, Homes for the Homeless made an agreement in August with city hall to move migrants into the facility, which is now known as the Midland Beach Migrant Center.
Tammaro is pictured with Rep. Nichole Malliotakis at the news conference. 5
Tammaro first spoke out against his treatment in a September news conference, after Homes for the Homeless made the deal to convert the assisted living into a migrant center. Gabriella Bass

“We didn’t have a chance to actually make any attempt to stop them because there wasn’t enough time,” he said at a September news conference, as 15 asylum-seeking families moved into the building.

Still, Tammaro — who worked for the US Army Signal Corps, a branch of the army that manages information systems, and served stateside during the Korean War — said he tried to fight back.

“I said, ‘No, no, no, you are not moving me,’” he recounted. “They replied, ‘Yes, yes, yes, we are.”

“I was satisfied where I was until they threw me out,” Tammaro explained. “But making the best of a bad situation, that’s what we’re doing.”

He said he mostly feels bad for the other former residents of Island Shores, which included seven other veterans.

  7. gag order reinstated

    Nov 30, 11:40 AM EST
Judge says he intends to ‘rigorously’ enforce limited gag order

Judge Arthur Engoron warned that he plans to “rigorously” enforce the limited gag order he handed down last month, after an appeals court reinstated it this morning.

“I want to make sure all counsel are aware, and they probably already are aware, that this morning the Appellate Division First Department issued a decision vacating the stay on the two gag orders that I imposed earlier on this case,” Engoron said in court. “So I intend to enforce the gag orders rigorously and vigorously, and I want to make sure that counsel informs their clients of the fact that the stay was vacated.”

“We’re aware. It’s a tragic day for the rule of law, but we are aware,” Kise responded.

“It is what it is,” Engoron quipped.

“The former students will soon receive an email from Biden notifying them that their debt has been forgiven – despite the fact that his plan to cancel $400 billion in debt was rejected by the Supreme Court in June. The email – making clear that the help has come from Biden – read: ‘Congratulations – your student loan has been forgiven because of actions my administration took to make sure you receive the relief you earned and deserve.’

I have an idea, you mumbling fuckwad – why not ‘forgive’ my fuckin’ mortgage while you’re at it. How can this guy get away with this by executive order alone? What can Congress do – if anything – to reverse this fuckin’ giveaway and force these jerkoffs to pay their own way?”

I just saw the strangest thing on C-Span live coverage of the Senate. They were voting for a district Judge in Hawaii and showing the usual ‘Well’ on the Senate floor during votes when the Senators tend to gather for the cameras.

Now Senator McConnell had been standing there leaning against the 1st row of desks for the last 15 minutes when at 12:20pm +/- 1 minute (or 2 hours and 21 minutes since the Senate started) and the camera film ‘glitched’ and McConnell just disappeared!

Not walked off or camera view change, but just flat disappeared! And yet everyone else in view were still there and continued to move or talk. Then another camera/film ‘glitch’ and McConnell was back right were he was. Then another ‘glitch’ and he was disappeared again–never to return in camera view!

Now C-Span has lots of glitches and ‘forward reel hides’, but I’ve never seen just one person disappear while everyone else is in same position. It was just very strange!

Take it for what it is worth, which isn’t much, and yet……just weird!

As for Ackman’s political future, he appeared open to the prospect.

“If the country wanted me at some point, you know, I would be open to it,” Ackman told Bloomberg. “It’s something where the country would have to ask me as opposed to me putting myself out there.”

  14. Woke books bought for huge advances by ‘inexperienced’ editors hired post-George Floyd have FLOPPED, including $500k ‘queer feminist’ novel that’s sold just 3,500 copies and Elliot Page’s $3m transgender memoir

It has all turned to crap. Trust me I know. Self published is better. You will not find anyone published from the Midwest. The political stuff tossed in randomly.
I don’t buy the bs that it’s inexperienced. It’s an agenda push.

Damn if the message is all it takes to sell a book. Could be a good scam.
